Interlude: That face! Wait, what face?

Breaking from your shock, you stand and rush to the door. Turning to look down the hallway you see no sign of the vision you had the chance to witness.

“Aoi,” you turn back toward your brother, “Who was that?”

“Hmm,” he turns to look at you to the annoyance of his recently rejoined conversation, “Oh, just someone who saw the show and had a few questions about our songs,”

“Did she have a name?” your tone is slightly demanding.

“Not that she said,” your brother dismisses you casually returning to his own measured and slow flirtations.

You smile. Even if you’ve lost your chance to meet her tonight, you’ll remember her face for next time. If she wanted enough to ask after your music, then she must be becoming a fan.

Her face, so-

Wait. That isn’t right.

You can’t remember her face!

Quest Start

“What did you want to talk about, Mikage, is everything okay?”

~No, it isn’t,~

You are Mikage Chiba, second year highschool student 15 years old. Having just arrived to the Mizuno home, you have been greeted by third year junior high student Aiha Mizuno, secretly a member of the Sailor Senshi and the second woman after her own mother to carry the mantle of Sailor Mercury.

Your mother was Sailor Moon, so was your older sister, and so were you. That mantle belongs to your little sister, since you abandoned it after you thought you had done something terrible.

Aiha takes your response worriedly, you’ve come over with an overnight bag for what is rapidly becoming a sleep over. Earlier tonight you said you were ready to talk to her about some of your issues which you had promised you would talk to her about when ready.

Those issues include your assorted dissociated personalities, your own burgeoning personal identity issues, and perhaps the events of a year and a half ago; when you quit being Sailor Moon. Thanks to your little sister, Koyomi, you know that Aiha and all the other young Senshi probably know about the fine details of your last night in the tiara.

Walking past her and taking off your shoes, you drift into the living room.

“Would you like to sit in the living room,” she says motioning to the L shaped couch that you loathe for its unsettling discomfort, “Or would you rather we spoke privately upstairs,”

~I’d rather with being more private,~ you say to the shorter girl as she nods and turns to lead you upstairs.

As you follow behind her you spare a hateful glance at that somehow uncomfortable couch in her living room. It was soft, just too soft and the backrest was too lumpy. Odd how you can finally quantify that.

“So, you said that you were ready to talk about the Beast,” Aiha muses as she turns the corner and opens the door to her room, “And that something happened?”

Entering through the door behind her, you find a simple room. While Rin’s had been spartan save for a few posters, this one seems almost barren save for a little tranquility fountain on her nightstand. Her desk sports a small computer and there is nothing left out save for a few geometrically arranged family photos on her dresser.

~Yeah, but there are a few things I guess I need to cover before I get there,~ you admit and sit on the floor leaning against her bed, ~And I’ve owed you this talk for a while,~

“Its okay,” she says and sits down in front of her dresser across from you, “Like I said before, I do have questions for you about you being the beast, but you can take your time with it. Whatever you are comfortable telling me,”

~Well, you already know how it started. I know the briefing covered what happened in Magician’s lair,~ she glances down to the floor when you say this, ~but I want to tell you how it happened. What I say, what I did,~
>>
>>40460207
She looks back up to meet your eyes in concern. It takes a while as you recount the story. Your promise to Keiko, the raw fear at how indestructive magician seemed, his eerie detachment, and the final blow. How it broke you, thinking you had killed a man. Thinking you couldn’t save someone and breaking your promise to Kairi.

Pausing for a moment, you take a pill to calm your now wrenching nerves. Panic kept at bay, you take a steadying breath and continue.

You explain how that is why you drew into yourself. She nods. She offers a comforting hand on your shoulder as she scoots forward and sits beside you. Shame, fear, disgust, and the overwhelming and crushing depression of your perceived failure. Failing your friend, your legacy, your teacher. All of it. Abandoning it because you thought yourself unworthy.

~After that, I shut everyone out,~ you breathe heavily, ~I’m not proud of that, but I was afraid. Afraid of people knowing about what happened, afraid of facing Kairi, and hating myself,~

She nods.

~It didn’t help that I already had a whole complex over Usa being me but not me,~ you grouse.

“Yes, that matter was explained to us when the two of you were in the hospital,” Aiha says, “That must have caused some friction between the two of you,”

~Yeah, but we’ve gotten past it,~ you shrug, ~Took me longer to sort things out with Tomoe-sensei. I spent my time as Moon hung up on getting her approval. She was Usa’s best friend, and, it was just so frustrating the way she always kept me at arm's length. Then I find out that she and~

Pausing, you glance over at Aiha. The girl is blushing a bit.

“I learned about that at the picnic today,” she explains behind her embarrassment, “Was it her, um, closeness to your sister at the root of that problem?”

~Yes, yes it was,~ you sigh.

Bowing your head, you look over to the younger girl.

~Though I don’t want to go into all of that now. After that night, I couldn’t live like that, in the dark,~ you explain, ~but I couldn’t stand being me. So, to hate myself a little less I put on disguises. I pretended to be other people,~

“If that’s what helped you cope,” Aiha offers, “I get that, it's why I like the anonymity of the internet. Is that where Miki and the Red Eyed Beast came from?”

~Yes, but I wasn’t pretending for long,~ you huff and cross your arms over your legs, ~I got lost in them. The beast was the first one to get away from me, I was so angry and when she became something on her own I didn’t hate myself quite as much,~

“First one to get away from you?”

Lifting your head back up you offer Aiha a weak smile.
>>
>>40462107
~Yup. I can only imagine my latent psychic abilities play some role in this. I know people with dissociative disorders don’t normally remember the things they did when they go under or are even aware that they aren’t alone up here,~ you tap at your temple.

“Well, that’s,” the blue haired girl trails off at a loss for words.

~Crazy?~ you laugh a bit.

“I don’t know what it is,” she leans back and looks at her bare ceiling, “So, is Miki someone else too?”

~She was,~ you begin, ~but she came home. She’s a part of me again after I worked through the issues I needed her to deal with,~

“Are you dealing with the problems at the base of Red Eyes?”

~Its not that simple,~ your voice becomes quiet, ~She got a little out of control tonight, she and I both know it. I, and she, consider you a friend,~

“Thank you for saying so, Mikage,” the younger girl demures and then speaks a bit awkwardly, “Though aside from our one encounter at the fashion studio, we haven’t really ever met in person,”

Weighing the risk against your need for some kind of calming effect on your more rage prone half, you decide that free from the influence of the enchanted music that the Red Eyed Beast would never hurt one of the girls. Scare them, yes. Hurt them, no.

Then again there was that time you slapped Kanari across the face. You did that. Well, you had a reason. It was important at the time.

Maybe you should apologize to the girl later.

~Well, now is as good a time as any,~ you muse and take out the disguise pen then point at your skull, ~If you think you need me I’ll be in here,~

“Wait, you’ll-”

You slink to the back of your mind as the light flares from the magical device’s activation. When it fades your clothes are in their tattered state and your hair is black. Teeth grit at the indignity of having your emotions messed with earlier this night and you seethe. It made you sad, it made you have to deal with feelings you don’t want to deal with.

You snarl and stretch out your legs.

Honestly, you are surprised to find yourself as the one in control again so soon. Craning your neck you take in the sparse room, before settling your eyes on the blue haired girl sitting next to you.

“H-hi, Beast,” Aiha Mizuno offers, “I heard something happened to you tonight,”

Looking down your nose at the girl, you are left with a few thoughts.

~Hey yourself, cram,~ you shrug before scratching your nose, ~I guess its nice to finally meet you,~

“And it's nice to meet you,” she bows her head a bit uncertain, “You’ll excuse me for finding all of this a little...weird,”

Clicking your tongue, you extending and inspect the back of your hand.

~Don’t let it bother you too much, and yeah, a few things happened to me tonight,~

“Do you want to talk about any of it?” she ventures and rises up before stepping over to her desk chair.

~Just the big parts. No one was scared of me today,~ you flatten your legs against the floor and push down at the shorter skirt you are unaccustomed to wearing.

“Usually everyone is scared of you,” Aiha offers, “right?”

~Yeah, and I was wearing a new outfit and everything. I mean, a few people were freaked out, but too many people weren’t,~ you growl and lean forward.

“Is it okay that I’m not scared of you?” she asks carefully.

~Feh, yeah,~ you shrug and move so you are laying down on the floor face up, ~I guess its fine if you and the rest of the rainbow sugar squad aren’t,~

You pause, and flinch at the thought that you are one of the reasons your little sister is afraid of all of you. She said she was afraid for you, the you that is Mikage, but you can’t help but wonder. What does she think of you personally?

~but I spent all day seeing people who weren’t afraid, then I got afraid for Venus-chan, and then when some guy wouldn’t even bat a goddamn eye at me in all my spooky glory...I just flipped out,~

“What about Venus-chan?” Aiha asks in reserved concern.

~I found out the hard way about her problem,~ you bite your tongue, ~We had a talk about it, she told me you knew,~

“Yes,” the quiet girl nods and leans forward in her seat, “I pressed my concerns with her earlier when I found out,”
>>
>>40464887
~So, onto less depressing topics,~ you flip onto your side, ~I flip out on this guy because I just can’t leave it alone, and I get into a shouting match over nothing. He hadn’t even fucking done anything and I was ready to rip his head off,~

You pause as you have Aiha’s rapt attention.

~No,~ you sigh, ~I was baiting him to do something. I wanted him to give me a reason,~

“Just to start a fight?”

~Yeah. I just wanted to hit someone. I probably could have just walked into another room and found someone who deserved it, but I was invested,~ you shrug, ~I snapped, hauled off and threw a punch,~

“Do you regret punching him?” Aiha asks with some worry.

~Nah, didn’t even actually hit him,~ you frown, ~I did hit a mirror though. Mad at myself for losing my cool,~

“Well, it sounds-” she pauses again to sigh, “Actually none of this sounds understandable,”

~Story of my life,~

“I don’t think any of our lives are really understandable, Beast-chan,” the girl sighs and spins to face her desk.

~Hey, don’t go and starting dropping honorifics on me,~ you exclaim, ~Especially -chan,~

“Forgive me,” she demures and she roots through her desk to search for something, “Actually, since you told me about your dissociative issues, I have a very serious question for you and Mikage,”

~Shoot,~

Picking up a piece of paper, she comes down to the floor and sits in front of you.

“I know you said that you didn’t want to talk about it before,” she ventures, “but that was Mikage. Not you,”
>>
>>40464921

~Uh huh?~ you quirk an eyebrow.

“Well, what I want to ask you about,” she seems nervous, “and if you still don’t want to talk about it, it's okay,”

~Can you ask the question while I’m still young?~

“Please, this is really hard for me to ask!” she snaps back at you and causes a pencil cup near her to shake, “I mean, it's a point of disagreement and curiosity not just for me, but the rest of the Senshi too,”

She edges a bit closer, still nervous.

“So,” after composing herself, “Beast, Mikage, do you have any more dissociated psyche in your mind? Are you also Eclipsed?”

Sneaky girl, ignoring the Beast's issues to ask about Eclipse.
I was thinking it would be nice to open up about that as a capper to the Beast's feelings, but now I'm kinda irked at her.

It makes me sad that mine main thought for a response is sliding out in a huff and roughing up any late-night hooligans we can lay our hands on in our new turf.

Interlude 1: Familiar Regrets

After the four of you finished loading everything into Daigo’s van, Kal had come up to the lot of you and expressed congratulations on a great show. The night was still young, as he surmised sleepily, and he offered you a few hotel keys where he had arranged for an after party.

The others were all excited, especially considering that they were all still riding that emotional high from after that weird surge. You had kept quiet about what you felt, and what it was that you now understood within your music.

Your new manager then droned on about how the rumors caused by miss Red Eye’s presence would help catapult the four of you into greater stardom. He was already working on some kind of spin for the dressing room altercation he had walked in on.

Not that you much cared, though as you walked over to the passenger door of your friend’s cargo vehicle, you can’t help but touch the side of your face. After that woman’s freakout, after you decided to leave her and her craziness be, the way she apologized.

There was something familiar there.

Something that fills you with regret.

It is beyond your control to stifle the dry chuckle as you strap yourself in and check your stage makeup in the visor mirror.

“Everything okay,” Daigo asks as he thunders into the cab, “Yoshi?”

“I’ll tell you in the morning,” you shrug, “So. Will you be able to take whatever is waiting at this party off my hands tonight, or do you expect your itinerary for the evening to already be full?”

“Couldn’t tell you until we got there,” he smiles and adjusts the clutch and stick.

Before long, the two of you speed toward an uncertain tomorrow.

Interlude 2: Deep Water

When she was distracted by the magic of her own transformation, you expended energy and focus to make your mind a fortress,to ensure you would be unreadable should she place you under scrutiny. A passive attempt to listen to her surface thoughts when she first arrived was met with resistance by the same defenses on her end.

You couldn’t help but wonder if Mikage Chiba keeps such defenses up as often as she can or if it was raised specifically for you. It must be something she does normally, she came here under the explicit purpose of coming clean on matters of the beast, and that something bad had happened earlier in the night while she wore that guise.

Her explanation of different personalities, with goals and free will in conflict with her own, was worrisome. This woman you respect, this friend who came to your aide as soon as she believed you to be in danger, was dangerous. Since the tower, you’ve been aware of how dangerous she could be.

The hand she has played in the positive changes in your life considered, that she openly admits to a dissociative schism within herself has left you guarded. She can’t know you feel that way.

Actually, given what she gripes about now, the Beast might appreciate being feared.

No.

You do not fear the Red Eyed Beast. She’s forthright, honest, and gruffly amicable. You fear something else.

The thing you saw at the tower, that was neither truly the beast or Mikage. It was rage. It was hunger. It was id.

Untempered.

Unbound.

Unleashed.
>>
>>40474941
There is a part of your power that feels like that. Decanting your usually reserved emotions from deep within you to give your powers greater potency and life. Maybe in helping Mikage, helping the beast, you can learn about your own potential fury.

The thing in you that you fear, the thing you saw the burdened woman sitting in front of you nearly consumed by.

“So,” you venture after careful setup and feigned nervousness, “Beast, Mikage, do you have any more dissociated psyche in your mind? Are you also Eclipsed?”

If you are to help the Red Eyed Beast, Mikage Chiba, with her anger it is necessary to see it. Earlier conversations clearly established Eclipsed as a sore subject for her to talk about; at least from the slightly heated and forced talk she had with you the night you discovered she was the beast.

How much is she playing close to the chest? How much does she think she is protecting all of you by keeping her own troubles secret.

Its a gamble, as you see her armor crack and the indignation spread across her features before snapping back, but you need to prod the beast. If she wants your help, you have to see how her wounds truly affect her.

The first part of Aiha’s nervous question didn’t seem off, given what you’ve said she wanted to make sure you didn’t have any other surprises she should know about. With a huff you stride toward the door to Aiha’s room. It was a mistake to come here, to think you could trust these children to understand what you’re going through at all. Just means you’ll have to double down on your efforts to keep them safe. For now you think it's a good idea to blow off steam by staking the claim to your new territory to the north.

The key, yes there looks to be an actual key, in the door turns and then pops out of the lock and lands on the floor. It slides past you along the ground in a wide arc before the blue haired girl lays a hand over top of it. In a kneeling position on the floor, she looks up past her bangs toward you. Her face has a stern and measured look to it, not unlike how you look when you lock yourself down and conceal your thoughts.

“Now, why does that question make you angry? You mentioned that Eclipse used to help you in the past. Did having someone rescue you in any consistent frequently make you feel inadequate? You’ve always seemed somewhat prideful, though I don’t think that’s at the root of this anger,”

Her tone is as cold as the ice you know her magic to become capable of commanding. There is a calculating look behind her eyes as she seems to be trying to gauge you, or at least looking the part. Is this really the same girl who you found terrified on the tarmac of her junior high school’s roof?

Aiha isn’t smug about what she’s done. She isn’t afraid of any retribution you might offer, at least not that you can see. Was asking about Eclipse a feint? There’s an intent here you aren’t seeing, but you at least know that there is some method to her words and actions.

However, even if there is some point to this, you’re too pissed off to give a fuck. You’re also to pissed off to sit back down with her after such a stunt. Which it is, a stunt.

She thinks she’s being clever, using her powers on top of it to put her in control of whether you can leave or not.

Won’t she be surprised.

You lean down to pick up your overnight bag by the door and smile at her with wide and manic eyes. She doesn’t flinch.

~Hey Aiha,~ your smile curls wider.

Worry shoots across her face. Probably because she can’t get a solid read on your intent. Just as well, you are the wildcard.

Hell, even Mikage is a little miffed about how this has gone. Not that you blame her.

~Shadow Slide,~ you whip your head around and peer out the keyhole.

Darkness overtakes you and you are shunted out of your folded shadow space halfway down the stairs in mid step. Your short range teleportation concluded, you head down and retrieve your shoes at the front door. Breaking out into the night just as Aiha finishes her surprised scramble to get her bedroom door open, you cackle and head to the north.

Now, to burn through this new anger. Maybe when you’re done you’ll head back to talk to her; more likely you’ll stay up all night.

What to do, what to do?

>Scour the convenience stores in this district for loitering delinquents, wait for one to harass someone
>Find a Pachinko Parlor and keep eyes out for any familiar Yakuza thugs or anyone missing part of their finger, let them know it’s your town now

>See if there is any trouble by the Zodiac Academy you can stir up

Let's go easy mode for now.

Aiha, you’ve got it half right, but it’s not you she’s protecting.

Skipping atop the nearest buildings, you explore your new territory. You have your first victory in mind, and once you find potential prey, you wait. There is an out of the way convenience store you remember passing after you left Zodiac earlier today. Sure enough, there are vermin attracted to its warm glow in the night.

Three boys squat around the corner, smoking and and loitering. Coming to a perch in the dark above them, you watch and wait. Their inane babble doesn’t interest you, but what they might do does.

As someone unassuming walks past, your opportunity arises. One of them pockets the smartphone he was playing a game on and strides out of the dark

“Hey, hey there friend,” he saunters out and speaks in a low cadence, “Don’t suppose you have any yen to spare. Its late, and I gotta give my mom a call. Aren’t I a good son for thinking of her?”

That’s his intimidating shakedown pitch? Well, you guess using that as a line can help him talk his way out of an arrest later, but it's still terrible.

What to do, what to do?

“Do you have a hearing problem, or do I need to repeat myself,” he smiles sinisterly as two quiet impacts hit the ground around the corner behind him.

~hehehehehe~ he is drawn from his intended prey as a quiet laughter echoes.

There on the ground, he sees the friends he had been waiting with, one sprawled out on the sidewalk, the other in a heap up against the back wall of the store building. As he looks on confused, his would be victim takes the opportunity to flee.

He rushes back to them, as you watch unseen, he goes to the closest of them. Pushing the heap up to rest his back against the wall, he shakes at the blank faced figure. Pausing when he notices the bruise forming around his eye.

“Oi oi oi!?” he jostles his friend’s shoulder in a mild panic, “What happened?”

You laugh again, quietly at first.

The ruffian stands bolt upright, and looks about for the source of amusement.

“Hey! Who the hell are you?” he gnashes, “If you’re going to pick a fight then don’t do it like a coward! Come on, come at me!”

Its too funny. You are bent at the waist to accommodate the intensity and volume of your laughter, as you fade into view in front of him.

He freezes. You stop laughing.

Slowly, you right your posture and look at him through stringy and oily bangs. Brushing the hair aside just enough so he can see your pale smiling face; most importantly the deep hue of your red eyes.

~Now I wouldn’t want to be accused of being a coward now,~ you say with barely restrained and shaking glee, ~would I?~

Even if the clothes aren’t the same that everyone has described, the rest of the package before him is enough to convince him that a terrible urban legend has come forth from the deepest recesses of his own nightmares this night. This horror has come for him, you have become a horror and that makes your grin deepen.

He screams when you let him, when he knows who you are and what your presence here means. Its loud, and probably disturbs the neighborhood. Little do they know that these screams are a herald to more peaceful times in their neighborhood.

And little do you know that these screams of terror catch the ear of a young woman who has found herself running through the streets in only the thin fabric of her pajamas and a hastily thrown on coat. Pausing as their echo washes over her, she adjusts her bearings and runs where she instinctively believes them to be coming from, phone in hand to make a very important call as she charges through the cold night air.

I mean it this time
>>
>>40480321
Aiha really should not be out tonight, there are some exceedingly scary things running about out there.
>>
>>40474931
Really? I got personal confusion.
>>
Prelude imminent.
>>
Prelude

Sound hammers at your skull and pulls you from the restful reverie of your contented sleep. Groping at your nightstand, you grasp at your screaming phone and squint blearily in the dark at it.

“Mizuno-san?” you read aloud and not quite awake as a weight groans and turns away from the screen light beside you.

Shrugging, you unlock the device clumsily and hold it to your ear. A call this late must be something important.

“Moshi Moshi, S-” decorum is important when faced with the unexpected.

“I screwed up!” the frantic voice of a young woman calls over the speaker, “I need help and with everything I’ve seen of her like this, she needs to get this out of her system physically before I can even start to apologize to her!”

“Wait? What? Who? Slow down, Mizuno-san, I just woke up,” you groan.

“I’m so sorry for waking you,” she pleads over the phone, “but you’re the only person I could actually contact who I think can satiate Chiba’s lust!”
>>
>>40480820

“Ueh! Aiha, I don’t know what you heard about me, but I am not that kind of girl,” you say suddenly embarrassed; you had considered it before, but now-

“Bloodlust! I meant bloodlust. She’s out on the streets as Red Eyes and I can hear screaming!” the young Sailor Mercury pleads, “Please, I know this sounds crazy, but I need you to give her a big bright target to wail on!”

That actually does sound crazy.

“Please!” the panicking girl all but screams.

You sigh, now fully awake and unlikely to get back to sleep soon.

“Alright, I’ll be on my way,” you slump your shoulders in defeat, “Where?”

“I’ll text you my map location,” the girls says before the line goes dead.

“Whazzat?” gurgles Midori as you sit upright and prepare to leave the bed, “Keiko-chan?”

“Nothing,” you lean over and kiss her on the forehead, “Go back to sleep,”

She groggily nods at your words and murmurs to you a goodnight through her pillow. Rising, you throw on a pair of sweatpants and grab your wand. It wouldn’t do to transform in here right now, the sunlight might wake her.

What shenanigans has Mikage gotten herself into now?
>>
>>40480449
What is she thinking charging out after us like that?
>>
>>40480981
She's not thinking. Or what she's thinking is connected to >>40480820
>>
Poor excitable Aiha.

..This could either go terribly or wonderfully. Further yammering when I get home.
>>
Man, take away her psychic powers, and Aiha can’t read people at all.

Alternately:
>Intelligence is knowing how to push a violent person’s buttons.
>Wisdom is realizing that might not be a good idea.
>>
>>40481231
She is very under socialized
>>
>>40481134
Yammer on.
>>
>>40481134
>>40481785
Home now. Yammering active.

So, if we can avoid an accidental fight, we should invite Keiko to a some impromptu acting and sparring, ie: have a fight.

Would look great. Light Senshi vs Dark Beast, rumble in the new turf, and the enemy would hear or see of us clashing with a senshi.
Tricky part is keeping Aiha out of it or calm.
>>
>>40480820
>>40480835
Terrorizing punks is what the Beast does. If the Red Eyed Knitter stormed off you'd find her knitting furiously somewhere, it's not a lust, it's what they do.

>>40481231
>>40481370
Yeah, I think so. I like her choice in distraction though, she just might go along with this crazy scheme. >>40482044
>>
>>40482044
I would prefer a chase scene. Keiko chases us around the rooftops, we run from her while jumping down to street level to do some hit and run against thugs and punks. When Keiko catches up we throw a couple of punches to put her off balance then bug out for some more hit and runs.
>>
>>40482282
That would imply the Beast would run from something.
>>
>>40480981
I'm wondering what we were thinking expecting her to stay put.
>>
>>40482516
Who expected her to stay put?
>>
>>40482470
Okay then we go predator on Keiko. We don't knock her out but tie her up in a somewhat humiliating fashion, leave to bust in some faces, then when she breaks out we do it again.
>>
I can see the internet rumors now.

"After a supposed spat with the a guitarist escaped from Hell known as The Damned, The Red Eyed beast was seen north of Juuban in an extended guerrilla war with the newly arrived Sailor Sol,"
>>
>>40480835
Midori being 2cute
>>
>>40482565
Honestly, I'd say the balance power in a full contact brawl is on Sol's side, at least with the Beast staying in character (ie: nothing that could tie back to Eclipse or scoutdom). Will be a nice challenge.
>>
>>40483642
Also, we're at like half our limited ability resources and she's coming at us fresh.

Her being a lower tier and spreading her skills out in a way to have fewer features is a boon for us, though.

buuuuuut, I'm worried about her using flight and dropping beam spam in a straight fight.
>>
Okay. This is bad.

Wait, is this bad? Maybe Keiko will hit us with so much healing energy that we forget about ever having been mad in the first place.
>>
You know, after the Beast finished talking, I would have been in favor of telling Aiha that Eclipse exists because Mikage isn’t yet ready to go prime time again.
>>
>>40483805
Keiko's healing spells are cure spells, no purification that I know of.

She has burning sunlight magic, though.
>>
>>40484199
probably.
>>
>>40484199
Eclipse exists because we need a layer of secrecy that does not lead anyone to connect it to our old identity as Sailor Moon. Anyone also includes the younger senshi as a form of humor.
>>
>>40483725
I figure somes surprise slides and jumps ti get in some good hits.
Remember to promise some healing later and that Mikage will probably apologize for going so rough.
>>
>>40484199
>>40486388
A bit of both. We didn't want to deal with them as ourself to avoid the baggage of that, but we still wanted to protect them. Be mysterious protector was a comfortable niche. Particularly when we set foot on that path with no mythic power.
After the issues of the enemy and Elyisum, then we doubled down on the secrecy for the secrecy and to foil fate.. and not letting the older scouts know the full extent of our ability or what we were up to because of overheard bits of vision with those parent being turned.
>>
>>40488139
>>40484199
I am perfectly okay with giving him his own personality.
I know fragmenting Mikage = bad, but it would keep business being business and not make it personal.
>>
>>40489920
And then, it'll be nothing personal kid.
>>
>>40490001
Too edgy.
>>
>>40483642
The only real edge we have is being higher mythic tier and possessing more combat options. Also, Keiko's trainings aren't spec'ed for normal combat.

We would wreck her if we got up close and personal.
>>
>>40492539
Aye, could be a useful experience for us both.
>>
>>40489920
Should we try to intentionally cause a schism with Eclipse? Isn't that both irresponsible and dangerous.
>>
>>40474931
I really don't think he has. I think this is the beginning of an entirely new can of worms.
>>
>>40494500
Yeah, Eclipse is us. Hamming it up perhaps, but daughter like father there.
>>
>>40489920
But protecting the girls IS personal.
And the protecting to Earth as Heir has given us some meaning as well.
>>
>>40501064
Will we tell the bad guys to kneel before their queen?
>>
>>40501990
Eventually. Hope to have ourself and the Crystal back together before that.
>>
>>40493137
As a planned ruse or as an impromptu thing? Just go with it to see what Keiko's got.
>>
>>40505924
Planned, if we can. Think the line calling it impromptu acting may help tempt her over.
>>
>>40509027
Thus heavy sparring with acting like we're upset with and don't know each other.
Tricky part is convincing lil' Mercury not to freak out or call in the whole scout brigade.
>>
>>40505924
If things go poorly, we may end up in a fight either way.
>>
>>40509110
Like a phone can wake a sleepy bunny
>>
>>40511763
Really. This ends in mock or real violence
>>
>>40509110
Do we just ask Aiha to chill and head home and hope she does?
>>
>>40513708
Wonder if we can convince her to go along and drop some Mist when it is time to break contact?
>>
>>40513708
I just realized, Kanari will be upset she missed this.
>>
>>40514759
Once we clue them into having a lead on the enemy and potentially infiltrating, might not hurt to use that to break up our row.
>>
>>40514762
Probably would. Once we start helping with Sailor boot-camp like we hinted at, should be some fun scuffles.
>>
>>40516876
This plan is going to end up very elaborate by the time we hit autosage.
>>
>>40522851
No it isn't. All we need to do is sneak up on her, disable her so we can tie her up, telepathically tell her what we want to tell her, leave her hanging from a roof/sign/streetlight, and roofhop away giggling like a loon.
>>
>>40523296
Keiko or Aiha?

Aiha did not have his contact number on hand. Next session you are well within your ability in Red Eyes inaugural romp through new territory to give him a call.
>>
>>40523296
Doesn't seem to fit with our intentions much..

>>40527175
..but certainly tempting to find a reason.
>>
>>40527133
We already sparred with him, now for a sparring match with Magic!

Might make a dramatic exit if a mist/fog is dropped to tackle them both and Shadow Walk away with them leaving no trace of anyone when it clears.

Also curious what form that takes in this setting. Imagine making use of a thin layer of shadow rather than having a full Plane of it, similar to Ptolus' handling.
