You are Sol Prementus, a being of godlike power. Long ago you distinguished yourself from the mortals you rule over through both action and word. You have united the six remaining great hive cities, set up a new and efficient government, and made the ruthless individualistic culture of Kilionos from one of ruin and savagery to one of progress and unity. People must earn their place, starting with a mandatory two to six years of military service depending on the current circumstances, and then with them moving up in the government through their own skill. This has inspired the people to be both unified and individuals, never sacrificing one for the other. In the end though, you are the one true ruler, who handles the most important affairs amongst Kilionos people. Less than a year ago you freed the entire world from the vile orks, removing them entirely from the world and its moon. Such a thing was hailed as the greatest moment in this planets sad history, and an event of such significance most likely wont come around for another century or so.

But now is not the time to think on that, for today is one of Kilionos holidays. It is named "The time of the Sun" in honor of you, and is the day where men humble themselves. People show respect to one another, no matter their rank or appearance, and give advice to each other. Scholars and Professors hold debates and discussions throughout the ten hive cities, and intellectualism reigns supreme. Currently you are alone, in your quarters. What should you do on this most honored day?

>Visit one of the many scientific discussions and debates being held throughout the city
>Sit in your room and reflect
>Go through the lower areas of the hive and let the people see their savour

One thing I imagine for Sol, like many other primarchs, is that he would be concerned about the distance with him and regular people. He was always above and never had a mentor or parent figure like many other primarchs to socially integrate him as well. I like to think he would be somewhat aware of this fault and try to remind himself of who he fights for. how he's alike to his people as well as different. Not lose touch with why he fights and leads, to see the inheritors of his will, and see their willpower and courage, even if its in things of smaller significance than he deals with on a daily basis.

Alright its been a good while, and visiting the lower levels has won out. Pick these options:

First:

Second:
>Bring your pet(write in pet name)

here's an idea. We build bigger and better mining ships that harvest other solar systems and bring them back to build more ships. we will mine EVERYTHING and build massive ships dwarfing moons!

Us having a pet spider is really fucking stupid and I hate it so much "cool" and all... just don't focus on the spiders too much, okay?

Last time there was a Lost Primarch Quest, we had Rachnus Rageous, and spiders were our main theme.
>>
>>40564740
we build a gellar field large enough to protect the entire solar system! We have enough energy in the form of a fucking sun we will never need a more powerful energy source. we might even make the whole thing into one of those Tesla Coil to zap anything that tries to attack.

I agree, but don't really care. Even Fire Strider faded to the background within a few threads of its introduction.
>>

>>
>>40564859
You bumped up the size again? Or are you just saying that our is 'special' for some reason?
>>
>>40564882
Well we kinda agreed that ours is due to a genetics experiment on a spider with tyranid dna from the DAOT, so...ours was always gonna be 'special'.

Also I am writing.

On this day it is best you see those deserving of your presence. Those who deserve it are the ones that are eclipsed, unseen or heard by their rulers as they toil day and night in vast factories.
You move to your wardrobe and take out a spider silk robe. The red fabric is the very best, made by your own hands and produced by your personal Arachnoid, Sunspinner. You put on the robe, which in and off itself is far larger than anything a mortal could wear, put Flamebringer on your waist, and leave your room. You are immediately flanked by two of your Shadow's, and your group heads to the special main elevator on the floor.

The elevator takes you all down through the massive main spire, hundreds of floors flying by over the course of minutes. With a mental command the elevator slows and then stops precisely where you wanted it to. The doors open, and in front of you all is an Arachnoid. The spider is large, dwarfing men and others of its race, and covered in a exoskeleton that most weapons fire couldnt hope to pierce. You found this spider during one mission for a S.T.C, stopping it before it could kill any member of your squad and eventually subduing it. You then made it subservient to your will, which took time and effort that you consider well worth it.

Sunspinner moves its massive bulk onto the elevator, standing next to you while making some small screeching and chittering sound as its black eyes take in all those around you. The elevator reaches the lower levels, and the doors open...

>>
>>40564946
So even our pet is a result of SCIENCE! Also how did we get the Tyranid DNA?
>>
>>40565153
it's was made in the DaoT by a mad geneticist who happened to find a small hive scout. He decided to fuse his pet spider with the Tyranid dna and the result was the sunspinner.
>>
>>40565212
If the DNA is from a hive scout wouldn't that mean the Tyranid are heading this way?
>>
>>40565153

Yeah, WE didn't. Some other guy did.

Damn, we're so heretical. The only thing that would be worse is a) consorting with Chaos or b) making AI.
>>
>>40565295

The Tyranids are heading towards our Galaxy anyway... it just seams that in this timeline, they'll arrive earlier than expected.
>>
>>40565295

You walk out of the elevator to see thousands of people moving along comfortably on one of the few days they dont need to work. The wide street accommodates a plethora of sellers, while hundreds chat with one another about subjects both personal and intellectual. Many of the people have their hair tied back, in either locks or ponytails as they wear personally decorated robes to show their enlightenment. For once the hustle and bustle of the hive is not one of urgency and worry but of a calmer and more progressive nature, showing just how far the people have come. Dozens of banners and flags hang on the sides of buildings or are carried in pale hands, showing your personal symbol or the symbol of all Kilionos itself.

You take all this in in less than a second, and after a few more seconds of analyzing the people finally catch up. Heads turn quickly, and talking ceases to be as thousands of eye's turn to face you. There is silence for a moment, and then the people cheer for their mighty leader. The one who has brought them from the brink of extinction, the one who freed them, the Dark Sun, is amongst them at last. Your regal features look down at them, not with disdain or indifference, but with seriousness and yet openness. They arent afraid to approach you, but on this most sacred of days they do not wish to anger you(which has never come to you as fast as it does for others)and so they keep their distance out of respect.

On a more important note, how would one describe Sol's voice? Most primarchs voices are stated to be deep and rumbling, and Ferrus' voice is stated to be the sound of steel grinding. So for a typical WH40K exaggeration example, Sol's voice is:

You look amongst the cheering crowd, watching and studying the thousands of people you daily strive to bring to greatness. They celebrate this day in your name, with hundreds even kneeling before you in respect and reverence. But on this day you are not to be revered, but to be treated with respect as an equal. You raise your hand and wave as you begin walking forward, causing their cheers to rise. The people move to the side, standing or kneeling as they allow you to walk through a veritable sea of bodies. At one point though you stop, and raise your hand.

With a few gestures you manage to cause the people to fall silent, all of their attention on you. You begin to speak, and when you do it is a sound above that a mere man could make. It is the sound of a brighter tomorrow, a future filled with the promise of greatness and glory. It is at once humble and domineering to all those that hear it.

"You all need not kneel and revere me on this day, for during this celebration I am your equal." You bade for those that kneel to rise, and they quickly do so. As they stand tall, looking up at your red robed frame, you decide to show them true humility. They are the ones you fought for, and only through their cooperation and will to survive have you all made it this far. In turn you kneel to them, letting yourself fall to one knee while your red locks fall to either side of your head.

There are gasp from the crowd, with some attempting to move forward in assistance until you speak. "Instead I thank you for your help. I could not have brought you this far without your willingness, for though I may possess the will of the Sun, you all are the fuel that helps me to burn brighter." You then rise back up and look down amongst those you daily drive to help as a whole.

Good Primarch.

"And so remember these words. In the blackness of space each individual man is a fiery nova of will, a child of the stars constantly burning with his own energy. But though each individual star is important, though some may be small and others supernova's, it is the whole which is significant. Should you ever look up into the night sky you shall not see the sun, no you shall see the entire celestial realm of mankind, waiting for its true owners to take its throne!"

Your voice changes as you speak, becoming the sound of grossly incandescent sound of suns exploding with pure energy, surging through the crowds and touching their very souls. The people start to cheer, ready to release all of their excitement and enjoyment ad their leader speaks, but you raise your hand and quickly silence them. Though your voice becomes quieter, back to its normal tone and sound, it is heard by all those present.

"So now, do not cheer for me on this most sacred of days. This is a time of enlightenment, a time of enjoyment. It is when all beings look up and see not one man above others, but the majestic host of mankind itself. Celebrate, cheer, show your progressive enlightenment, and remember that each of you is a star in the sky..."

You fall silent, and bow your head to those assembled. After a few moments they break into a cheer, not one merely for you, but for all of them together. They rejoice in their unity, partake in their individual glory, and celebrate their progression from nigh on slaves to masters of a planet. For the first time in what is years you let a true smile grace your features, a smile that engraves itself in the souls of all those who see it.

Maybe even buy something from a common trader, visit a local pub and buy a round while we may be physically different, here on this world we are the same.

But remind them, you are no god, just a man with the Will to keep going forward and a Dream. All can dream and aspire you need no gods for that.

This scene reminds me of this scene from The Great Gatsby

He smiled understandingly—much more than understandingly. It was one of those rare smiles with a quality of eternal reassurance in it, that you may come across four or five times in life. It faced--or seemed to face--the whole external world for an instant, and then concentrated on you with an irresistible prejudice in your favor. It understood you just as far as you wanted to be understood, believed in you as you would like to believe in yourself, and assured you that it had precisely the impression of you that, at your best, you hoped to convey."

And now, with the people encouraged and all those around you celebrating, it is time you had your walk. You begin walking forward, flanked by your two shadows, and the people move to the side out of respect and equality. Your greet many as you walk by, showing the sign of respect and greeting to those you pass. You give smiles to children, shake the hands of mothers and fathers, and even gave a widow a hug to show that she is just as important as every other human on Kilionos. You walked for hours, speaking to all you saw and giving them words that lightened their hearts. This was the most sacred of days, and even if the people looked up to you as a moon looks up to a sun, you looked upon them with the warmth a star gives a planet and its life.

It was a long time, encompassing an entire day, but you managed to walk through the entire lower levels of the hive. During that time you caused a number of people to weep tears of joy either by hearing your words or simply looking at you for too long. With the day over, and yet the celebration still continuing, you ponder over what to do next.

An prime example of Humanity, a perfect fit to being the Emperor's Will incarnate. We will bring peace, we WILL bring prosperity and you WILL enjoy it!

But seriously im seeing him as a kinda Older brother figure, guiding, sometimes a little odd, but someone you can trust and look up to. he inspires you and you believe wholeheartedly that one day you could be like him. When it comes to the Nobles I expect he don't take any of their shit, not cruel or angry just does not like people skimming off the top to much.

In our few free moments I see us as solemnly quiet, not that we don't like to speak we listen, so those few times we do speak people do listen, our words are few but valuable.

For one week you celebrate alongside your people. You greet them, smile at them, show them that progress and advancement triumphs overall. By the end of the week you have gone throughout the entire complex. You've met those that lost all hope, seen those who suffered from horrible accidents, and more. You petted the Arachnoids brought towards you, let children touch and ride Sunspinner(to its obvious dismay)and much much more. It was a time of progress and celebration, and once it ended you had finally met everyone in the bowels of the city and even in its upper echelons. You walked back to the hive spire, on your third set of shadows as the week long holiday finally reaches its conclusions. As you arrive at the hive spire, you give one last look at all the people you helped progress, and give them a true smile before heading inside. You ride the elevator back up to your quarters, a smile on your lips as you drop off your spider and finally enter your quarters alone.

I'm not so sure about that. The warp works in strange ways, and it's not always obvious why or how they do so. Our will may be incorruptible, but that does not mean the warp shan't try. Only by your collective will was this possible, for together you all burned as bright as a supernova. You kneel in your room, dropping to one knee as you begin meditating on all that has been accomplished. As you do so you feel a burning urge to bring the people to the stars beyond, and begin reciting a oath in private.

"For every star in space, I swear it and its inhabitants shall kneel before the progressive light of mankind. My will is my shield, the people are my sword, and the sun my presence. Let the alien break against me, and let the mutant fall under my assault. This...I swear."

How was it guys?

GUYS HOLY SHIT WE ARE THE PRIMARCH OF THE OBSTINATE MARINES!
>>
>>40568349
real fukken neato, OP.

Thanks.
>>
>>40568349
I liked it, feels like we were able to flesh out our Primarch a lot more.
>>
>>40567683
>seems he would be liked by most primarchs
I have my doubts about Konrad. That guy is such a tool after all. I don't know about Angron as well. He does not seem like the kind of guy that gets along well with anyone besides Kharn.

More meat on the bone. Approval.
>>
>>40568349
We sound like a space liberal, always talking about progress and nothing else. Doesn't really sound like we value humanity, moreso we value what humanity can do. Writing is good, though.
>>
>>40568349
On a scale of 1-my life for auir, how loyal is our general populace to us?

Also have you decided when the Emperor is coming or which Primarch finds us?

I finally realized who we are...

A king must live a grander life than any other’s, and stoke his people’s feelings of admiration! He who is worthy of all heroes’ envy, and he who leads their way, is king! Therefore, the king is not alone. For his will equals that of all his followers together!

Glory lies beyond the horizon. Challenge it because it is unreachable. Speak of conquest and demonstrate it.

To win, but not destroy… To conquer, but not humiliate… That is what true conquest is!

Pavel can be our Waver Velvet when we go on the Great Crusade.

I got more of a 'Space Superman' sorta thing. Believing in the best of mankind, providing an example of hope, and generally being a cool dude.

...And also being a Superhuman being, flung from his homeworld, with great destructive potential and a mind for advanced technologies

So guys, if we go full heretic, which god will we worship? Khorne, tzeentch, malal? Or will we worship some other deity, like a c'tan?

Goodnight!

Thanks for running Kraven.
>>
>>40568758

Hmm... well, not Khorne. We're nowhere near being filled with enough RAGE.

Slaanesh... no. Just no.

Tzeentch... Well, change and hope and shit like that is his domain. But then again, he also has his whole "chronic backstabbing disorder" thing going on and that just won't work out for us.

Nurgle... well, we do love all our subjects like children... But diseases, despair and stuff like that is sort of the opposite of our thing.

C'tan? How the fuck would we even become aware of them, let alone want to start worshiping them?

Malal... hm... I don't think that really fits us either. The whole nihilistic, destroy everything including each other and yourselves isn't productive, which we don't like.

Who else is there? I guess we could worship Khaine... or Isha... or Cegorach?

Khaine is basically Khorne but shittier is that's out.

Isha... maybe? I don't know how or why we'd know about her and decide to worship her, but whatever.

Cegorach? Well, that could work out actually. I mean, we'd have to side with the Eldar/Harlequin to do so, but we could do it. His whole M.O. doesn't really work with ours, but it doesn't work against it either.

Gork/Mork: NO.

Are there any others? Besides the God Emperor, obviously.

What about helping Abby with his crusades?

We might end up traveling to the Soul Forge in an attempt to learn from the masters of damned technology.

Your ideals don't have to fit up exclusively with malal's to worship him. I imagine if our home planet or species comes close to death, we could turn to him in a moment of despair to help humanity out. After all, in the fortieth millennium, the only thing that keeps The Emperor from running into the arms of death's cold embrace is his love and will to protect humanity. If our hatred and will to destroy mankind's enemies proves to be greater than our will to live or protect, malal is an easy choice.
As for the C'tan? The Nightbringer would be cool, but you're right, I don't see a reason why we'd worship them.
But honestly, I think we could become the nagash of 40k. That's what really speaks to me. The only lich still walking on two legs. Who knows, maybe we could eat the souls of humans, just like good ol' dad does. Trying to become the chaos god of death/pooping on the chaos gods' party would be fun.

This all sounds incredibly mary sue-ish, but hey, all primarchs are in their own way.
>>
>>40569375

The Nagash of 40k? That coule be fun, though we're (currently) no where near evil enough for that.

Also, what you said is true, in a moment of despair we could turn to Malal. Or we could turn to literally any other Chaos god.

Honestly, the Chaos God we turn to would probably be the one that we encounter if (when) we search the warp with our PHENOMENAL COSMIC POWER!
>>
>>40569134

What does that mean?

Chaos Undivided? That shit is for pussies and if we're not gonna pick a god, we might as well not go heretic.

Being like the Night Lord? We're technically a Chaos Legion even if we don't consider ourselves one?

Or, what? We worship some other Warp entity? Once again, if it's not one of the Big Four or Malal, why bother?
>>
>>40569168

So... Chaos Undivided then? Or would that be worshiping some other Warp "God"? Like would we worship the Chaos Omnissiah?

The reason why I think we'd pick malal over other gods is that he's the only one that doesn't actively have it out for mankind, and that'd probably make us a happy camper. We get to kill chaos scum and become stronger, Malal gets to become stronger and he gets a champion to show off to everyone, the imperium doesn't have to deal with chaos shit as often, everybody wins.
>>
We don't make it to the heresy.

We outshine the emperor, and then feel his methods are badwrong.
>>
>>40569077
Tzeentch would probably try a plan to make us fall. He'll lure us in with promise of hope, progress, and knowledge of lost technology, and then manipulate events as to force us into a corner and we'd have no choice but to join him to get out.

As for C'tans, I guess his brain got messed up when his technopathy interacted a bit too much with a shard and he got a vision of the greater whole or something?

That isn't to say Sol WILL fall. He coule win the day and be stronger and/or smarter for it.
>>
>>40569552

Didn't he enlist the help of non-chaos forces during the 13th? Thought he did, but I'm thinking I've mistaken now.
>>
>>40569725
Sol probably won't fall, but it's fun to think why and how he would. Besides, I don't think we'd trust a being of the immaterial to actually know or care of technology, or anything material. Knowledge is a different matter, but everything in the warp is unreliable.
>>
>>40569565
The Soul Forge is unaligned towards any of the gods. It just churns out fusions of unwilling daemons and warmachines. I can only imagine what their end goal is and that's why I kind of want to see what they're trying to do there.
>>
We are going to fuck up the timeline so badly
>>
>>40569843

Oh. I'll be honest, I'm not exactly a Chaos Lore buff. But that does sound like what we'd get into if we joined Chaos.
>>
>>40569725

So... he'd try to do to us what he did to Magnus?
>>
>>40569599

Actually, the Sons of Malice (canon 'Malal' worshipers) kill both Chaos and Imperum forces. Malal is destruction of all things. Sure, he has nothing against the God Emperor/Imperium in particular, but he wouldn't hesitate to attack him/it if he could. Still, worshiping Malal would make us different and more unique than the rest of the Heretics, so...

I do hope that we encunter Chaos before Dear Old Dad shows up. This will give us an edge. And considering we're a powerful Psyker, we probably will discover it before being found.
>>
>>40570040
Well, according to "canon" Malal doesn't exist anymore. GW doesn't have the rights to use him. But we have the lore of what he was, and what he was was anarchy, chaos fighting chaos, it's supposed to be a take on how chaos is self-defeating. He doesn't *actively* go against the imperium, and since he's a being of the warp whose interests are in the warp, that means he's fighting against the chaos gods most of the time.
>>
>>40569976
That sort of stuff is his MO, so yeah.
>>
>>40569077
We should probably ally with Cegorach if we go heretical at all. We'd learn the secrets of the Black Library and be able to use them for the betterment of the entire galaxy.
