Making one final gasp, your massive green arms and fingers snap the fungal connections with your body before breaking the sac you were made in, groaning and expanding your body, you move upwards, digging through the dirt and pushing rocks aside. Eventually your hand pierces the soft soil that separates outside world with black depths of the crust. Pushing the outer mushroom growths aside, you dig yourself out, wiggle about and kneel on steady ground, butt naked, sighing and grasping your head, groggy and a bit of disoriented. Your eyes quickly adapt to the little amount of light shining on the area around you. It seems you are in a quite dense forest and more of your Orkish kind is appearing from the ground as well, yelling, stretching and tripping over each other in a drunken haze and trying to see who's bigger and tougher.

You are an ork, but what kind of clan left the spores here from which you emerged? (Cont.)

>Bad Moons: You all know how to trade and your teeth grow bigger and faster as well. (Teeth +, Trade +)

>Snake Bites: Grots are more of a use to you and runtherdz are quite popular with you. You also have small innate poison resistance which is easier to boost further (Poison resistances +, Grots and animals are more useful in battles).

>Blood Axes: You're sneaky grunts, you know the worth of camouflage that lets you get choppy if an enemy is capable of stopping you from coming close, you also don't despise humans THAT much as others, just barely enough to trade with and even do some mercenary work for them. You're better at strategy as well (Sneaking +, Human relations +).

>Deathskulls: Finding good shiny bits is actually really easy for you, not to mention the sometimes absurd luck which you use in killing part of finding the mentioned earlier shiny bits (Looting +, Chance to crit increased).
>Goffs: You're all bigger than most, you're also much more meaner and prone to anger and prefer full on melee combat. You also gain a special meter, Angry-o-Meter. (Toughness +, Melee power +).

>Evil Sunz: YOU MOVE REALLY FAST AND LIKE GOING FAST YOU MUST MOVE FAST YOU ALSO WEAR RED TO MOVE EVEN FASTER and you have a lot of mekboys too (Speed +, specialized birth: Mekboys).

(Okay so. this is the first thread of hopefully not too terrible quest including orks. Allow me to go trough some things before we start:

First few threads will be experimental, technical things will be changing as time goes by and I get more opinions on how to do some stuff. The rolling system will be 3d6, best of 3 first posts. I will be doing crits, 5 and below is a fail, 16 and above is a success. You will be given special points called BRUTAL CUNNIN POINTS. I will be ever so often writing an option where you can spend them or you can come up with your own idea and ask if it's going to cost a point or not. You will start at 4 points. They can be used to turn a critfail into a success.

You inspect your body and you notice the traits familiar to the Evil Sunz clan, the need to go fast, feel the wind brush against your thick skin and have insects who happened to be in a wrong spot splash against your teef, eyes and face is really powerful. Your legs feel strong and capable of taking you to immense (for a hulking creature like you) speeds, it feels good to be an ork, you have to admit. The grogginess has stopped and soon you see clearly and to your notice comes the bunch of grots, jumping around the groups of your fellow fungal brothers and giving them weapons and straps of various leathers as sort of provisional armor ranging from local wildlife skin to squig skin. One of those approaches you and it holds out a few items for you.

"Et's for ya, pleaze dun't kik meh!"

In its rather undersized arms you notice:

>Long log. (Path to melee)

>Few stones, sharpened up crudely, good enough to throw. Tiny squigs that produce very loud noise when thrown are crudely wrapped to them. (path to ranged)

You ponder for a bit, looking at the grot who is quickly becoming very shaky and afraid as he notices the brutal idea you just came up with. Swiftly grabbing the grunt against his yells and protests, you do one thing one can only call cunning, you strap him onto the log, hand him two rocks for each of his hand and you force everything else either onto him via straps or you keep on yourself in the pockets in your vest and shorts. This brutally cunnin' plan took a moment but effect is clearly visible.

>You received Grot powered basha'!: Not only do you deal more damage than you would normally while wielding this weapon, but you also have a grot nearby at all times who's not going to run away anytime soon, or at least, until the straps break. It can also function as mobile squig dispenser, be it for food or to just watch it waddle around for something to cheer yourself up. 3 BRUTAL CUNNIN points left.

“B-Boss! Let me go! I didn't do nuffin!”

“Shut up ye grot! Yu's mine now and yu's be workin' for me!”

The whine that followed your sentence can only mean acceptance of its fate. Now, you look around and you see that the others are now very clear as to who's bossing around, one particular ork with ears bent downwards in the middle of their length is slowly starting to order around.

“I'z Deffear! I'z da boss now and you's lots gonna listen to me!”

He? A boss? What's this! You're the boss, not him! This is outrageous! In a few steps you make your way towards Deffear, it's hard not to notice you as the urge to overthrow him is clear in the air and each beaten ork is giving way for your turn. As you approach him, you see the soon-not-to-be-boss ork throwing another one over his head in a mighty scream. Of course soon enough he turns towards you and notices the peculiar weapon in your hand.

“Wots dis? Wot kind of wepon is-” You don't let him finish as both you, the grot and the squigs yell in unison. The hard sharp stones in the grunt's hands dig into his face, one into the cheek other one into the jaw before splitting the skin with the log, you didn't aim for it, but your Grot Basha definitely gives you an element of surprise, even for orks.

Deffear retaliates very quickly however, clearly capable of taking a beating and swings his own log at your ribs, but the blow is too slow and countered by yours, using the back-swing and pushing it downwards against the ex-boss' arm. Loud grunt of pain echoes as the weapon digs into the skin and crashes the bone, yet Deffear doesn't drop his log. The force pushes him down, but he's quick to raise his other arm and deliver quite an upper-cut into your jaw, sending you backwards, stumbling about for a second before stabilizing. (cont.)
>>
>>40901346

He presses his advantage, swinging his club from bottom right to upper left, but again, it's not enough for your superior weapon which strikes down in a loud screech of fear of both the grot and squigs, digging right into his teef. You can see the jaw deforming under the blow from the log and rocks, folding in two places while his teef are sent flying. This forces Deffear onto his legs, where you can promptly finish your fight with another overhead swing straight to the skull, which leaves a small dent in it and makes Deffear fall to the ground.

You turn to your orkish brothers, all surprised and stunned in the sheer genius of your tactics and superior weapon, which you raise above head and scream a tribal roar, asserting your dominance.

“I IZ DA BOSS NOW! AND I IZ...”

You don't hear a lot of disapproval, given how you just beat the one who beat up most of the grunts around you. The feel of being the boss, having others listen to you and having your word to be the final one is definitely empowering emotion and you swear you can feel your clothes tightening, even if you didn't grow just yet.

Now that the chain of command is set, you gather the boys around and look around, picking out da biggest of the bunch and making them nobz. They pick their own underlings and await your approval for the pressing matters that fall on you by the title of being a Boss.

“Now, which ona of ye gits iz a tinkboy?”

You ask, sending your nobz out to search specialized orks who feel like they could do their jobs without much trouble.

This takes a bit of time, as the total of orks in command including you is 5, when there's about of 100 orks to be moved about into their field of job. This also allows you to see the general territory you have. There's a small pit of droppings in the very middle, made mostly by grots, it's barely enough to sustain everyone and if you want to expand, it will take most amount of time. There's quite a few of huts for everyone, but the grots did poor job on building them. They're considered substandard even by orks and will need heavy renovation. Thankfully after the herding of gits you are told that in total there is:

6 Tinkboys.
2 Doks
2 Runtherderz.

They're all heavily underarmed and lacking in tools. In order to expand your resources you will need to carve out wood, mine rocks for primitive tools and search or wait for more boyz to pop out. As Da Boss, you are entitled to the best tinkboy.

“Ey, you! Yes, you!”

“Me boss? What'ya need boss?”

“Wot's yer name?!”

“I's Woodbrain, boss!”

“Good, ya git! You's see dat hut? It's da biggest, but et's completely zogged, fix it!”

“Uhh.. Okay boss.”

>You have received specialized Tinkboy as a companion, Woodbrain is considered to be the most skillful in his work and will be always available at your disposal as long as you don't make him busy with something else. His prices are a bit lower as well. (cont.)
>>
>>40901962
As Da Boss, you also have the most amount of teef, taking some from Deffear and some that were on the ground, you have a total of 15 teef.

You send others to their jobs as well, the grots and snotlings pushed to work by tinkboys and doks while the runtherdz tell you that there's about 160 grots and snotlings to be ordered around. Heavy emphasis on about.

>Order some nobz to make some of the boyz carve the forest for wood.
>Order some nobz to make some of the boyz search for a suitable place to mine out rocks and other resources.
>Order some nobz to make some of the boyz to search for boars
>Order some nobz to make some of the boyz to search for loot and other things.

You can watch over one of these things, which will ensure higher efficiency than with a Nob overseer. Or you can just bum around.

Your Grot's name is Bortok da screchgrot and you can make him leave the log and tell him to do something as well, if you have an idea for his job.

The hugest amount of nobz you can order to do something is 2, which you do so immediately to search for boars. The rest are separated into different parts depending on the urgency of the task. As a result, you must search for loot by yourself or forget about it for now and focus on something else.

Well then, we're at a tie again.

1 for looting
2 for overseeing boar hunting.
>>
>>40902452
You got enough Nobz to ensure good hunt and strong boars in your opinion, and overseeing anything else is really boring and not fit for Da Boss! So you take probably the most pleasurable task of them all, looting. After all, you can't be Da Boss, without da bling, right? Gathering up 10 boyz, you leave the forest in a jolly mood, enjoying your position while the rest enjoys the fact that they will most likely get something out of it as well. Bunch of gretchin are taken as well in order to haul the things you find.

Your search at first can be summed up to going few meters, picking up a rock to see if there's anything underneath and going onward again, humming random tune when doing so. Ever so often bashing someone's head for insubordination. Given your genes, your walk is quite short and not even that much exhausting, avoiding the vines, leaves and other debris of the forest with ease. However, your jolliness is quickly interrupted with a first find! You reach closer, stepping in lightly and pushing the bushes aside, revealing..

A cave! A mighty find indeed!

“Oy ya gits! Look wot I found! A Cave!”

“But Boss.. Cave ain't loot..”

“Ya dumb git! Dere can be LOOT, in da CAVE!”

“Ohh! You's smart Boss!”

“Of corse! Dat's why I'm da Boss and you's not!”

Getting closer, you receive a better look at the entrance. It's carved into a side of a huge mountain, which only now you notice because of lack of trees that block your vision, it reaches the skies and is humongous, green moss and other plant life embedded into the side like a resting cape, you can even see an ork shape! All of the moss and the size makes the mountain look like a humongous ork, and the cave is set right where the butt is. Nevertheless, you push onwards with your mob, entering trough the ragged but enormous entrance.

There's a lot of stalagmites and stalactites, both shaped by some sort of weird substance that drips, it's not water because it's black in its color. One of the grots tries to take it on its finger and it sticks to it. Then it tries to lick it, only to cough it out at the bad taste, whatever it is, it's not drinkable.

Keeping your walk pace, you notice the growing darkness to which your eyes slowly adapt to, your grot don't seem to mind it too much as well as the others, given how often they are forced to be in the darkness on daily basis, but you and other orks have bit of trouble getting used to it. (cont.)

“Boss.. I dun't like it here.. Et's.. Too quiet..”

“Shut it ya git! Dem grots are more braver dan you!”

Eventually, you come to what you can call an end of the tunnel, taking it to consideration that you wasted time, the grots come closer to the wall while the rest of you turn around.

“Ei Boss! Dere's a huge hole ova here!”

And your bunch turns around again, only to see the gretchin yell in fear as scaly-like appendage just wraps itself around the runts and pulls them in, all of them yelling in panic and fear, the scream echoing trough-out the rocky walls before turning into silence. You could hear something slithering in the hole as well.

”YOU DON'T KILL ME GROTS AND GET AWAY WIFF IT! BOYZ, AT IT!” You yell in a fit of anger. How dare that thing just take your grots! You're Da Boss and you will not stand such actions against you!

While you are piss mad, the runts are piss scared and promptly run out of the cave, three of the boys also run screaming and you can only hope that they want to group up the grots again and not run away because something enormous just took the little guys. In a warcry you run straight into the hole without care for your health, the remainder of your boyz do the same and you all go down the extremely dark tunnel only to notice that it's very smooth, smooth enough to work as a slide.

In a happily angry laugh you gain speed, this is something you can get behind! Nothing obscures your road downwards and the immense speed you are gaining sends your blood rushing into every part of your body, gripping the rocks and your screaming and wiggling Grot Basha' even harder, ready to come at full force at the thing that made the classic blunder. Blunder of showing itself to an ork that hasn't found it yet. The whole ride takes surprisingly long two minutes and would make you sick with all of the twisting loops and sharp turns, but your Evil Sunz's genes are more than able to handle such forces and eventually, you are send flying into near blinding light as the slide ends. Revealing a massive nest.

Your whole bunch of 8 is send across the giant cavern, it would have been quite bad if it wasn't for the monster who just finished eating the grots that looks at you at what you can call surprised look. Your bunch uses that advantage very well and you all throw your rocks at it mid flight, gaining medium results for it's scaly hide takes the blunt of the rocks very well, but ever so often one wild rock bashes itself against its eye, nostril and giant poisonous fang. (cont.)
>>
>>40903451
It's a massive snake. You land on its massive snout in a painful grunt, rolling downwards before slamming against its body in between the eyes, rest of your boys land on it as well, sliding down its hide and trying to do as much damage as possible while using it as another slide.

You however, find yourself in the most favorable position, rush of adrenaline you received earlier makes you stand up and stabilize in no time and you look at the snake's crossed eyed stare. Eyes big and the slit-like pupil with golden iris tries to petrify you with horror, to which you reply in a loud, primordial scream and kick it in the eye. Making the snake writhe in pain and quite effortlessly drop you onto the ground, about 7 meters (about 23 feet) down. The fall is nothing to you and in a grunt of pain stand up, looking at the enormous snake being beaten down by your fellow orks as it writhes.

“Oy you git! Hit it!”
You order a nearby boy, he rather unwillingly follows your order and comes near the snake's face and throws a few rocks at its eye, he obviously doesn't even come near at hitting the actual target, but he did his job at getting its attention. The humongous body slithers to the side, switching its attention to the quite small ork in comparison and comes towards him, unhinging its jaw and tries to swallow him whole to which he replies by tripping and breaking his morale, resulting in turning around and trying to run away, screaming for his life. Now you know who you gonna have to teach some subordination.

Rest of you go into action, two orks pick at its tail and grab it, trying to rip the scales out and reveal the soft flesh underneath to bash into, the rest go right at the monsters face in a mighty yell of pleasure, not often you fight such huge monster right after you are born! You too go after it with a mighty swing. While the boys focus on the eyes, you straight into the mouth and make a huge overhead swing right into its soft mouth, ripping the flesh into bits with your screaming Grot Basha and sending blood everywhere. The snake quickly retaliates by struggling in pain, but unable to run away from your constant onslaught due to being pinned. One of the lucky boys manage to climb onto its face and bash the eye right in. Sending eye-gore all over the place and half-blinding it. As lucky as he was, he was immediately send flying by the sheer force and splashed against the wall. Leaving green blood and bits of his body on the rocky wall before sliding down lifelessly. You aren't lucky as well because the head quickly rushes into you, trying to smear you against the floor with its size. The snake realized it won't escape till you are all dead and will try its hardest to murder you all.

Avoiding the bulky head is really easy for you, given how quick you are. In a loud growl you stomp forward, making a roll, everyone around also makes similiar move and only one fellow ork is turned partially into paste, grabbing his mushed body in pain and loud screech of hurt. On a good note, the boy with broken morale returned! And is quick to make up for his try to escape by throwing himself onto the dazed Snake, ripping a scale out and bashing the soft flesh. Rest of you follow his lead, with you going under its chin and swinging with your Grot Basha, Bortok grabbed the softer scale and ripped it out with fair ease before digging a rock underneath another scale. This painful hit made the snake writhe in pain again, this time sending the two orks behind it flying into different directions. In the corner of your eye, you can see that the entire bottom part of its tail is crimson red. They did lot of work it seems.

You follow up your onslaught, jumping onto the snout again when you have the chance, other orks pin it down, or at least try to. Using the moment, you deliver another swing into the Snake, right into the ripped eye, your swing destabilizes you and you fall again onto the ground, making a roll and turn around to face your opponent again. The monster contracts its body, pushing the pinning orks aside before writhing around and heading to the exit as fast as it can. It seems like it's using its chance to leg it. You have to admit it yourself that you are a bit tired yourself, but adrenaline is still pumping in you.

>”NOT ON MY WOTCH!” Catch it and tire it out to exhaustion.
>”NOT ON MY WOTCH!” Catch it and kill it.

It's too big even for an ork, it can eat you whole and it's the sole reason it didn't bother with biting you, you were too small. You could use the skull mostly as a trophy. Trying to make it work as a gear would remove the swag from it because you'd have to use parts of it. Unless you are willing to do so.
>>
>>40904946
What about turning it into an helmet for our future warhog?
>>
>>40904946
No way, trophy it is then. and maybe snakeskin vest later, but we'll leave that to Woodbrain
>>

>>
>>40905013
Gotta upgrade to a snakebone-studded nob smasha.
>>
>>40904756
All remaining live orks jump on it before it can even escape. After that it's just one bloody mess of ripped scales, tenderized flesh and hisses of pain and torture before the mighty snake is reduced into a torture toy for your group. It dies a slow and tantalizing death for trying to kill it as quickly as possible was really hard.

But hey, you got loot!

All of you cheer and party over the body of the snake. But time is short sadly and you must take your leave, you do take a look around the cave and find something very peculiar. Bones, lots of bones, not orkish, some of them are clearly wildlife and you can spot a boar skull ever so often. But most interesting, you see that there's a lot of rusty metal bits. From swords too little to use to shields and bits of armor. Underneath those are human remains.

“Oy boyz! Look! We'z got 'umies on dis planet!”

“WOHOO BOSS! WE'S GOT FINGS TO KRUMP! I LOVE TO BE ORK!”

Taking all of the loot would be hard, all of you can barely take the snake carcass by yourself.

“Oy boyz! Get ta snek outta here! We'z gonna get da rest later!”

As everyone hurries up to get the dead body out, you reach the nearest, deepest pool of its blood and nonchalantly dip Bortok and the entire log in it. Obviously red wepons go faster, and going faster means better krumpin', basic ork scienz 101! You're happy with your action to improve your weapon, Bortok's a bit less. You grab the beaten up head of the Snake and start pulling it with the rest of your boyz. Getting it out is a really long and tiring process, but you are more than happy with how you managed to slay it. Eventually, you escape from the cave and head out to the place where you were born in. You must admit, being Da Boss is good, you're the biggest, the strongest and the smartest and you have proven that.

Entering the camp, you notice commotion, group of orks and grots are discussing heavily about something, as you reach closer you can hear them talking about.. Your death? Now that's something you weren't expecting, you also spot Deffear who has also spotted you before anyone else and has promptly ran away. He was in a worse state than you left him in, it seems that he had to visit a dok.

You drop the snake with loud thump, everyone turning around to see you and to say that they're surprised is a bit of an understatement.

>”..Wot? I'z got somefink on me face? Get to da snek and make sum use of it!”
>”WOT'Z DIS TALK ABOT ME DYIN'!? WHO STARTED IT?! SHOW YARSELF OR I'LL KRUMP YOU GUD! I'Z DA BOSS AND I AIN'T SO EASY TO KILL!”

Everyone immediately stepped back, even the ones who were with you, seeing your boss being angry is bad enough, but seeing him carry humongous dead snake around can petrify. And since no one stepped in to admit their fault, you just go to the closest ork and bash him on the head two times which promptly leaves him on the ground, grasping his head. Then you see the results of others working.

Two Nobz means bigger value, and as such you have 23 boars set in cages, all angry and trying to escape, one in particular is bigger than the other ones and is obviously reserved for you, but breaking them will take a while.

Very little wood was carved out, it seems that it was the most boring job and one Nob was not enough to keep the boyz in line, 10% of 100% forest around you was turned into timber, but it's still a lot of wood you have to use.

Your house is in the middle of improvisation, it was a two story hut and only the bottom seems like it was mostly redone.

You have no idea about the mine, apparently the group has not yet returned. In the mean time, the carcass is being ripped apart, Doks are quite interested in the fangs it seems and the bones. Some tinkboys want to see the snake as well. At least food problem of your tribe was dealt with for the time being before the cesspit is expanded.
