You are Cell Iko, and you have terrible luck with cards.

After failing horribly at blackjack, you transitioned to poker. Luckily, you’re only using poker chips.

“All in,” you say, for possibly the fourth time tonight.

“Cell,” Maddie says, “It was funny the first time, now it’s just sad.”

“If you don’t actually win this hand, I’m going to have you start putting E-crystals on the line.” Lynx laughs, sorting his chips for the hundredth time.

“I swear! I’m not normally so unlucky!” You protest loudly. All you need to turn this around is a single ace and you’ll have four of a kind! Two aces in your hand and one on the board.

Sighing, Maddie reveals the last card. The King of Diamonds. Dammit. You can only hope that your three of a kind wins it for you.

“Straight.” Lynx says, revealing his hand.

You pause and reveal your two aces, “Three of a kind.” It takes a moment for everyone at the table to start laughing, and while they do, you try to hide your head in your arms.

When the laughter dies down, you decide to ask about something that’s been bothering you for a while. “Fimblvetr, you said people ‘bet’ on whether someone comes back from a mission? Isn’t that rather morbid?”
>>
“Oh, don’t get us wrong,” He says as he clumsily shuffles the deck of cards. His large armored hands aren’t conducive to his fine motor skills. “It’s a show of good faith and friendship among us here. Most of us are outcasts, dreamers, and just plain weird. So of course we have some quirks here and there.”

“Quirks, doesn’t begin to cover it,” Maddie quips. “But, it does help the unit get to know each other and what everyone is capable of. It also boosts morale as the news of a successful mission circulates. Everyone checks back here constantly and wind up staying longer than they meant to.”

“Also, no one really wants to bet against their survival,” Lynx adds.

“That’s right, we have a few people who always bet against everyone else, just to add to the pot. It’s not rigged, but it kinda is.” Maddie, who has once again taken the cards from Fimblveter, tells you. “All the same, we can’t let the captain know. Even though technically, I’m under orders to report all violations to him and the Commander.”

“Eh, you know what’s best for the people on the lower-ranks better than they do. That’s why we like you so much!” Lynx gestures around the room at the dwindling number of people. “When you first got here, you made it a point to learn everyone’s face and name. You may be part of a special unit, but you don’t forget where you came from.”

“Something Lynx and I have had trouble with,” Fimblveter adds solemnly.

“The two of you have worked hard to be accepted here, and in time Cell will be a part of your duo. Heck, the people here have given you two working together the nickname, ‘Speed and Sound’.”

“I guess if you have a team name, you must be respected.” You note.

“Exactly,” Maddie agrees. “Now, I hate to be Miss No-Fun Allowed, but it’s almost time ten.”

“I thought there wasn’t a curfew?”

“There isn’t, but most of us have a self-enforced one so we don’t keep others up all night. Ten at night is generally when everyone not on guard duty turns in.”

Lynx snatches the cards from Maddie and pleads, “Just one more game! That’s all I ask! You too Cell!”

“Alright, just one more.” You agree, causing Lynx to grin like a madman.

“That’s how it always starts,” Maddie groans as she deals the cards and the chips are redistributed.

Your luck doesn’t really improve, but it seems Lynx has gotten worse. Or maybe he’s intentionally being reckless with his chips to make you feel better. “So, Cell, you took down Pteradon?”

“Yeah, he was a pain to fight.” You say, remembering his tenacity.

“I was thinking of taking that mission, but then it got reassigned to you.”

“I lost a mission to him too,” Fimbulveter says with a chuckle. “I was supposed to go after Wruenele. I’m really glad you got it though. Ice versus fire isn’t a very good matchup.”

“What about Terrorvolt and Aurora? I steal them too?”

“Nope, but if you need any help with them don’t be afraid to ask. If Lynx and I are here, we can tag along.”

“I’d rather not go against Aurora though…” Lynx tells you. Given both of your Electrical affinities, it’s not that surprising.

*****

The round goes about as well as the last, this time with Maddie coming out on top. Lynx was most definitely making dumb decisions to make you feel better, it didn’t work. And Fimbulvetr and a couple other soldiers got into an argument over whether a Four of a Kind is better than a Flush. But now it’s late, and you have returned to your room.
>>
It’s sparsely furnished, a recharger pad built into a bed for comfort, a personal communications terminal, an empty bookshelf, a small desk and chair, and a single beam saber lying on the bed. The floor and walls are simply cement with the walls painted a greenish brown. Given time you could make this place feel like a home.

You attach the saber to your hip and climb into bed and let the recharger do its’ magic.

When you wake up in the morning, you see your terminal has a flashing light on it, as well as a small pile of E-Crystals set on the desk.

The E-Crystals can wait for a moment. You turn on the monitor and see that you have a message from the captain. It reads, “Cell Iko, I neglected to tell you something yesterday during our meetings. You are not limited to just the missions you saw yesterday, those were simply the High Priority missions. Should you wish to engage in a Low Priority mission, simply speak to Lorelei and she will give you a list of available assignments. These can range from Escorting Genius Mole in the desert, taking a squad out on patrol, or destroying a concentrated group of Mechanaloids. Thank you for your assistance.”

Another thing you notice on your terminal is a roster. Your name is lit up and beside it you read, “On Standby”, as well as both Lynx and Fimbulvetr. It seems to be a full list of the base personnel, at least the ones cleared for field duty.

So, what now?

I also think some people might have got turned off by the futa votes in character creation (I barely stuck with it when that happened), but you've handled it well.

Give it a while for people to get into it, even MHQ only had a few people at the start.

Might as well get another of the High Priority missions knocked out. A quick elevator ride up to the command center is all it takes for you to see Captain Kirkwall watching the screens. “Captain,” you say just loud enough to get his attention.

“Ah, Cell, here for another mission? No need to overexert yourself. They may be High Priority, but that doesn’t mean that we have a specific deadline to meet here.” He say, with genuine concern for your wellbeing.

“I think I’m good for now. Could I get a quick refresher on my remaining Targets?”

“Of course.” He presses a few buttons and your mission files open up.

>Terrorvolt Tarantion: Infiltrate a warehouse for supplies, weapons, ammo, E-crystals. Low Mechaniloid presence when observed, likely to have more in case of intruder. Warehouse is located on the edge of an old shipyard.

> Hellfire Wruenele: Destroy an experimental Golem during its testing stage. Mechaniloid presence expected to be high, but used as dummies for the Golem. Engaging Wruenele is not a Priority, but is likely unavoidable.

>Aurora Boaralis: Free Prisoners from a high security station and defeat the Warden. Mechaniloid Presence is high, avoid raising the alarm if you can help it. The Prison is supposedly experimenting on the prisoners, with both physical and mental means.

>On Second thought, I’ll go see Lorelei…

As much as rescuing POWs is important, we need to work our way up.

After this, we should take a couple low-priority missions.
>>
>>40969035
We're not actually going after the target, are we? Just aiming for the supplies. (Although we'll have to fight him anyway...)
>>
>>40969143
Technically speaking, you're just going after the supplies and making the area safe for retrieval. Realistically speaking, you're going in to kill a spider.
>>
>>40969226
A'right, we're gonna need a rolled-up newspaper and a giant bathtub.
>>
“We need supplies, so Terrorvolt seems like the next best step.” You say after a moment of consideration.

The captain nods, “Agreed. While it pains me to leave the prisoners, we simply don’t have the resources to support them all. Very well then, Lorelei will once again be your Navigator. You’ll be beaming into a transerver in a shipping container out in the shipyard. It shouldn’t be too hard to navigate, but be prepared for anything.”

You nod and head over to the transerver. “Lorelei, are you ready?” You ask the Navigator.

“Of course. Be careful out there.” She responds with a business like tone.

You select the coordinates for Terrorvolt Tarantion and feel yourself get beamed away.

Upon arrival you are greeted by a nest of Gli-Eyes! Your presence causes them to flee the shipping container, but you can hear them fluttering around outside.

“Hey, Lorelei, was there a nest of Gli-Eyes here last time someone warped out here or is this new?” You ask, feeling more than a little annoyed.

“The area is home to multiple rogue mechaniloids. It wouldn’t be uncommon for them to seek shelter from the elements in the shipping containers. Still, I apologize for not warning you of the possibility.”

“It’s fine, they flew out of here when they saw me, but it sounds like they’re waiting for me now.” You check your options, busters will clear them out fast, the saber won’t be much help here but the practice would be nice, Railguns will give away your presence, and the spear suffers from the same problem as the sword. You could easily cut your way through the shipping containers and use them as cover, Gli-Eyes don’t usually follow into enclosed areas if they can help it.

You pull out your sword and ignite it. The new flame element in it makes flicker with flames and the heat can be felt in your arms, but not enough to make your shield even flinch. With a slash, you melt through the container’s wall like a hot plasma knife through soft already melted butter. After cutting a circle in it, you dive through and start dashing.

The Gli-Eyes are swarming in the air and take notice of you as you cut your way into another container. Inside you quickly slide some boxes in front of the hole you just made, kick open the front of the metal container and dash forward right into another. A couple Gli-Eyes follow you inside.

You slash at one, reigniting the sword before you swing. The floating mechaniloid falls in two nearly symmetrical halves. The next one dive bombs you and delivers a small pulse of energy on contact, damaging your shields. You dispatch it with another slash. Your shields hold, it wasn’t much more than a slap on the wrist, but in groups they can be dangerous.

You keep up the strategy of going in, out, and through the shipping containers for a good while, eventually the Gli-Eyes either lose interest or you lose them. “Okay, I’ve given them the slip. Lorelei, which way do I go?”

“You need to head south from where you are now. Be careful though, I’m getting a strong reading from the edge of the shipyard. Probably a large mechaniloid. You’ll have to deal with it eventually, but if you want to take Tarantion by surprise I would avoid it for now.”

Very well then, although it's nearing 1 AM here. First off, may as well start with the two sets of cast. As for the name, he is an ex maverick at this point, since the party successfully captured (read: he was treated like Overclock but hadn't broken yet, but was being fielded with bombs in his brain to act as explosives expert) him. More on that later, though I plan on getting people considering pros and cons of live capture more and more. In general, though, this is play by post, so if the stories drop off, well...I may end up looking for new players.
First off, the system. I attached what I am using for this, but really heavily homebrewed because it encourages making your own stuff for this anyway enemy and boss wise, as well as occasional gear. All of it is riding on a wing and a prayer at the moment, and the big problem has been boss fights go too fast.

Team 1 has started in Vienna, first off, and the list is as follows:
Dante Vonder (endoconstruction possessing phoenix). 14th Grappler new recruit, didn't make it to his division for assignment before things went to shit. Uses physical munitions instead of a buster, specifically armor piercing incendiaries, slags things by touching them, and cannot fly quite yet. Doesn't talk much, and was built in the image of one of his creator's dead children after a nasty maverick assault.
Electro Ocelot: Second Recon, and made by the same lab as Magna Centipede. Originally slated for the Ninth, she was reassigned due to sudden...unexpected personnel cuts in the Second, being built for stealth and speed. She also has a rather nasty trick where she launches paralytic electromagnetic spikes that throw systems into disarray, and can supercharge them similar to how Anode can store electricity. Was sent into Vienna because Hunters are going to Hunt and it would have taken more effort than Koala felt worth it to stop her. Besides, he had two other recruits today.
Dammit too long
>>
Continuing the first team:
Hailstorm Snowfox: Demolitions expert in the 15th Artillery. Built originally as support to Frost Walrus, who went AWOL, and is from Canada, he specializes in using long range cryonic weapons to shatter armor, immobilize targets, and blind sensors.
Aleah Prog: Former 10th unit, she was as close to Civilian Grade chasis as you could get, working with school districts to coordinate their evacuation in case of emergency. She was at Giga City the day the Dino Tank attacked, and at heavy personal physical cost, protected her charges from Disc Boys until X stopped the Tank. It took her time to get repaired, and in that time the Tenth was put on ice, so she approached her two remaining COs with plea for help in proving the worth of the Tenth. So they helped upgrade her to a full combat chasis, complete with experimental hardlight shielding system linked to a physical shield that lets her absorb enemy attacks (up to a charge of five) and dump the damage back at her enemy by supercharging her own weapon systems. Currently in the Fourteenth due to favoring heavily upgraded stun sticks-currently at the point where she could fry some mavericks.

Second team starts next post, and they are the faster group
>>
Group Two: They started shortly before the other group chronologically, if only so I didn't have to worry about them both in Vienna. They will be the focus for now.
Hammer: One player wanted to play a literal tank with particle cannons, so that is what he started as. Part of the 15th currently, he has since upgraded to a highly durable giant magnetic spider since it seemed like a good idea to expand him and I was hoping he'd want to sooner or later. With Particle Cannons. This is going to be fun to handle on my end, too. May or may not end up drunk and sleeping with an ambulance at some point.
Lambda: 16th scientist, Gordon Freeman knockoff originally, and tied to the plot of the first arc because it worked spectacularly for him and for me. Has a gravity gun, and died before the game started once. Got better because of the plot tie in.
Zyph'r (soon to be Sandstorm Scarab): Lightning chucking tornado making flyboy. 7th Air Cavalry, another guy crafted in the likeness of a dead child, this time that of an important family in the Middle East. Has family in both the grand family and three other Hunters. Designed for melee and aerial superiority by controlling air currents, has recently upgraded into scarab based external armor because it sounded like a good idea to everyone involved.
Pandora: Second recon (and actually meant for it originally), flight capable. Another endo possessing hunter, she was modeled on a pixie. Favors illusory devices and deceit, keeps to external pistols for most of her combat ability. Also grabbing a sniper rifle soon. For a trickster, she is surprisingly shy outside of her armor
Negative Snowhare: New addition, late application. Assigned to Second Recon from pool of potentials being sent to the Thirteenth after loss of four officers. Main weapon is the ability to shift normal guns to cryonic weaponry from his special ability. Also has climbing harpoons that he can use in combat. Surprisingly shy off the field.
>>
So, each of the second team, which we will call the Strike Force arrived in Geneva around midnight. The air was crisp, the night was young, the ground of the Fourth not yet wet with oil and the dignity of that traitor Seven, and our heroes began reporting in. Hammer led things off, getting a chance to drive around the area, running across Massedriver, Kiloton, and a few other ranking officers on the firing range, Massedriver helping some of the human enlisted, but the others testing new artillery pieces they had gathered on some poor dummies downrange, and he felt like he had come home at last. Pandora got to the Second and began admiring the view from the top of the tower, passing a scant few hunters to start. Lambda was in his office in the Sixteenth, testing out some crazy new device of his while wondering about the glimpses of a suit he saw in the corner of his eye, apparently a human that he never quite could focus on. Lastly to start, Zyph'r was just flying in to the air range to report in for the first time, other members of the Seventh about, either coming or going. But, soon enough, each is called in to meet their respective CO, and gets a debriefing linked to the others, a joint hunt that would (I had hoped) require each of their skillsets.
See, the African Union had been having some maverick problems that had been on the move. Two siblings, Strike Scorpion and Battle Beetle, had been acting as warlords in the region, raiding men and reploid alike and having a penchant for breaking reploids to their whims. In fact, two survivors, one Raining Vulture and the other Charge Tortoise, were currently with them, two captured civilian models whose purposes ended up very perverted by their captors, Vulture originally being a rain seeder to help ensure fresh water, Charge being made of enough Mettool armor to probably tank a natural disaster. Except lately, they had been quiet.
Dammit post limit!

This is the best friend of someone trying to start a game by the way, and how I got them.

Anyway, the mavericks had been away from their local stomping grounds, and only recently had been found by army patrols near the India-Pakistani alliance's borders, with several forced mavericks and their army. Taking the opportunity to ensure they didn't have a threat later, the patrol force contacted their army, and the force managed to ambush this group that was heavily reliant on guerrilla tactics and ambushes, the initial volleys cutting the number of higher rank threats down considerably and making them decide to hole up in an apparent emergency safehole Strike had dug in a mountain in the Himalayas they had in the region from before they started their rampage across Africa. It seemed likely that they would make a break for the Chinese border, and with that the chance to retire them would be lost. Armed with this (later proven faulty) knowledge, the Strike Force set off to their Beamin Pads, and arrived among the army, setting up heavy artillery around the mountain to hem in the mavericks but not approaching due to ridiculous amounts of anti vehicle mines, devices seeded in an aerial moat of sorts-Raining Vulture, formerly Cloud Cockatoo, had been converted to have their cloud seeders not only gather moisture, but basically every pollutant in the area and make it into the most concentrated and vile acid possible, hence the name. So, asking for little more than a bit heavier gun and a sniper rifle, our hunters headed off, Zyph'r headed to the skies to clear a path through the acid rain, which led to what was supposed to be a rather nasty fight as both Raining Vulture and Battle Beetle waited in the clouds.
Key word, should. See, while Zyph'r was busy playing bait, and clearing a path, Pandora was waiting for just such an occasion using a hologram to hide as a rock, waiting for something to go to intercept Zyph with her newly borrowed sniper rifle.
>>
Sorry about a lack of dialog by the way, most of it was more just commentary.

So, of course, both Vulture and Beetle see only one flying opponent, the rest far below, and think they can handle this. Vulture circles below as bait while Beetle dives in from above, twin beam axes blazing as he yells his bloodlust and glee at a new foe. Yells which quickly turn to bellows of anger as Pandora manages some rather impressive shots to take out his flight systems, their normally shielding carapace directed to take melee attacks in that moment. She also manages to cripple Vulture's combat ability, a sonic cannon in her beak that can disorient enemies and throw them off course, with a lucky shot, however Vulture manages to dance through following shots with ease, being in her element. So, as the Beetle shouts how their mothers fucked goats and they were honorless bastards in freefall, the others begin taking potshots at him with a variety of things-particle cannons, chucked portions of the landscape, some mines. Meanwhile, anything shot at Vulture just kept missing, her just dancing through the shots with a grace that frustrated them to no end. Until Zyph'r finally got his hands on her, grappling her and headed to the ground. Not one to be outdone, and resigned to a fate where her brain likely ends up splattered on the ground by a vindictive Scorpion, she activates her EAS midfall, tearing her own wings away and leaving a string of scrap along the ground where her legs were, but still surviving nonetheless. She is taken into custody, just gazing at the sky as she expects her life to end at any moment and wanting that to be the last thing she sees as a jeep ends up pulling up to haul her back to captivity.
At this point the second half of that ambush has considered this a wash. Strike was waiting in the mine field with a number of pit traps for vehicles, and with her brother's death she is nearly mad enough to activate the real reason they were sent there.

>>
Also sorry, NeoArcadia, if this ends up taking up space. Just trying to keep this alive while I can.

Anyway, Striker had also made Charge a hole to hide in below the surface and a bug out tunnel in case things got hairy for her, and he got up, giving the hunters greetings and congratulations for removing the Beetle shaped pain in his ass, but lamenting losing Vulture in this case. He then fires off enough ammo to qualify for the 15th easily, before having to dash to safety-just thirty feet away. Did I mention Charge is rather slow due to the metric fuckton of armor he has? Because he is slow as hell. Anyway, each of the players has their own method of handling the incoming fire-Zyph'r was far enough away to not worry, while Hammer relies, for the first time, on superior firepower to shoot down as much of the ordinance as possible. Lambda, not being a walking tank, runs and activates a shield function we included in his armor, using it to avoid ending up a pile of reddish scrap. Pandora...well, Pandora dives behind Hammer, getting scuffed up and ruining her paint job, but otherwise coming out okay.
But now they have their entry ways. Hammer and Lambda take the lower path, lacking ways to fly, once again using Superior Firepower to save the day as, rather than deal with a minefield, Hammer glasses a road to the tunnel. Meanwhile, air threat eliminated or in captivity, Zyph and Pandora clear a path above, landing at the top of the mountain at an elevator the mavericks had used to exit the mountain from above. Peering down between the elevator pad and the tunnel, Pandora manages to spot glinting steel, and realizes that there were Maverick Berets waiting to blow the elevator up with rocket launchers, a small squad of Hoganmer and Disc Boys as backup. So, not actually needing the pad, they trigger it, and cause the mavericks to assault it in hopes of taking someone important out. Poor maverick bastards.

Here's hoping they remain that way.

The mavericks above are quickly routed, finding blades where they shouldn't and bullet holes in vital organs, as well as being hit by missiles that...well, honestly did shit damage as the two more scoutlike members took out the entire squad with ease.

Meanwhile, below, Lambda and Hammer managed to spot another trap with obvious bait. See, the mavericks, upon spotting Hammer, thought that his appearance meant he was a mechaniloid. So they were going to bait his assumed driver, Lambda, into a forward assault. However, they had placed Crag Men on the ceiling, ready to grab him and get him to deactivate his "mechaniloid" tank. Hammer delights in that sort of mistake. So, charging forward, he quickly decimates the shield line even as the crag men drop, Lambda grabbing one out of the air and shooting it at the other, who is now very upset because who the hell tries to murder you with your own sibling, huh? Who does that? However, being the last mav standing, he dies quickly. Then, following the pathways, they get to the motor pool, depleted of most threats-mostly Road Chasers, Road Attackers, a truck to haul Charge's fat ass around, and one tank. At the other end of the room were degravers hastily trying to repair a number of mechaniloids, gun volts, with two hamma hammas on overwatch, until two Mole Borers broke through the ground when a degraver hit an alarm. However, they turn like crap, so as Lambda gleefully attempts to hack them, Hammer introduces the enemy to his best friend once more, Superior Firepower. Taking out a number of the degravers just as they board Ride Attackers, being the closer vehicles, and pull out to assault him. Supposedly a challenging fight, right?
Turned out to be two rounds as Lambda stole the mole borers out from under me. They handle the degravers even as they open fire, then just flatten the hamma hammas into pancakes. Onwards they go.

So, having swiped a tank and two mole borers, Lambda and Hammer make mincemeat of the floor above them. However, Zyph and Pandora get bogged down by BAAAAAATS. Well, them and Mettools, but yeah. So as both sides make scrap out of their foes, Charge takes the moment to make a bid for freedom and contacts Pandora. Flat out surrenders if they remove the Scorpion with extreme prejudice, and her two Kralmacht lieutenants. So they agree, letting the other squad know that they can end this faster as well. Which is great, considering Strike Scorpion just shredded the treads of Lambda's new tank while he was distracted gleefully killing her men with one of her Stinger Mines, digging beneath the group to assault them. However, they manage to drive her off, getting her so angry she decides that now everything dies. Afterwards, seeing as how she seemed to specialize in anti vehicle combat, they booby trapped the Mole Borers, covering them with explosives before sending them after her, hoping she'd be near one when it went off.
It's about now that Negative Snowhare is introduced. Brother of (Multiply) Cloud Cockatoo, now a certain Vulture, he requested to be sent to retrieve his sister. Sent out with a pair of Berets, he is brought to her holding pen, and she is...well, she doesn't want to be seen like this. Nature perverted, form changed, functions a mockery of what they were, she tries to shy away from contact with her one remaining leg, only for him to embrace his poor sibling. A different player jokingly ships it. Alongside Hammer and the Enigma Cannon, Hammer and a gunboat, and Hammer and an ambulance in a drunken fling. But I digress. It is roughly about now, as he is escorting her to the beamin pad, that things begin to rumble on the mountain, and then parts of it evaporate. As does the entry gate, and everything (and one) in the way, as half the mountain crumbles down into the new opening.

Alright, back, let's hope this stays afloat for NeoArcadia. Now, where was I...

Ah, right, mountain crumbling. See, with Negative's arrival, I needed a fifth boss, so I went to my notes and found a useful one: Thunderclap Cicada, had the right weaknesses but was far too strong. So he got retooled a bit, and brought in at a barely functional point in construction. So, as part of a different mountain and the armed force outside just evaporates, this barely complete reploid skeleton of strange red metal, blind, deaf, mute, and barely with enough brain to outsmart a mechaniloid slowly hobbled out, attacking anything it's half complete eyes and ears picked up on. Negative, thinking fast, tells the two Berets with him to get his sister to base as he digs down, out of sight of the incomplete bastard as bolts of lightning disrupt any assault from the army as the half made monstrosity fires at them and the rocks rolling downhill where it made its hole. Getting past the evident field of protection, he opens fire, first freezing it, and then taking it's head off with accompanying ice pun, telling it to "chill out". He then heads back to the pad, finds out his sister is still there, and is the first to hear how Vienna is just starting.

In the mountain tunnels, Hammer and Lambda hear a resounding explosion fron the depths, the feed from their two stolen mole borers rigged with high explosives going dark. Hammer, being far too big to go check, is sent to get Charge as Lambda enters a tunnel the scorpion bitch dug, coming to a lab he recognized far too well. Mainly because he used to want to date the owner of one identical to this back in the volcano Flame Stag took, but was too shy. Then too spread on the walls after the attack, although a highly advanced emergency repair system he had been carrying a sample of for testing had enough raw materials around in the form of dead guards to rebuild him as something that should not be possible, reviving his brain with some damage to it and leaving him barely alive, but he makes it to extraction.

The same highly experimental, red colored repair system that he finds in a tube linked to a terminal overseeing the construction of his former project he had to scrap in infancy because of the assault by Flame Stag, one Thunderclap Cicada. Apparently being almost grown from the vat, each layer made by his former companion, one Gleaming Doe's special repair system that recycles anything nearby to rebuild the target. He takes a sample, tries to take files before he notices someone better than he is already altering the data on them, but unsuccessful at preserving any that matter, and noticing Strike Scorpion and Battle Beetle were also built in the same manner, likely sent to move the specimen here or protect it to maturity. Finding little more he could do there, Lambda finds the remains of two mole borers and Strike Scorpion. Which is good since Hammer just found Charge Tortoise and a number of torn apart hoganmer around him, sitting calmly as if waiting for him. Strike's demise is called in, and to my player's surprise Charge Tortoise actually turns himself in, handing over his busters and apparently very cheerful. Seems he held a grudge since they executed his brother for disobeying. Then Zyph'r and Pandora arrive where Charge is, Pandora's chest partially caved in but otherwise okay. They had made contact with two Kralmacht, and one had gotten it's hands on Pandora before Zyph'r forcibly removed them, the other going down to focused fire. Wanting out, they head to where a path had caved in from Cicada waking up, the rubble then getting introduced to the good friend of both Charge Tortoise and Hammer, Superior Firepower, and having a hole blown out for everyone to leave. So, at last, the group gathers together, and twenty minutes later enough feet are on the ground in Vienna they can come home.

That is about where this ends. As I said, things go slowly at the moment, and they are currently learning about their homes. Hope I didn't bore you all.
