You are Zognik da Githog, fastest in your tribe, strongest in your tribe and the fastest ork in your tribe. Anyone questioning your abilities was proven quickly otherwise, and just recently, you have found a mine. Something you ordered a Nob to do but he failed, he was eaten by the thing that was infesting the place of work. Giant, black furred, humanoid shaped foremost limbs with a third eye on its forehead that looked like it was going to bleed wolf-like creature. And it bleed, the entire beast as you killed it in a show of skill and orkish superiority over everything.

The mine is young, the caves aren't deep and so far only rocks are visible, but there's nothing against the idea that metal and other precious resources are hidden within the earth, not to mention the massive amount of tools which were quickly taken by your Tinkboyz and others to fiddle around with, ending one of the many problems of your tribe.

Now you are in your hut, tending to your wounds on your arm and back by just staring at them and scratching them, minor setbacks but you are better off to wait till they close up a bit at least before digging into another fight.

Your logging nob did well compared to previous try at carving the forest, 60% of 100% area designated to be chopped down is, well, chopped.

The nob you've sent to loot has not yet returned, but still nothing to worry about. Your hut is about to be finished as well with Woodbrain finishing up the upper level.

The squig leather clothes we have are already almost too small for us. The beast we killed is described as having fur so black that it absorbs light. It's pelt would make an excellent set of "ded-killy" clothing for our young boss. We also have a lot of other stuff that could be made into armor (vertebra, ribs, snake skin and scales, etc).

-See about getting the pelt made or incorporated into armor by a tink-boy.

You have nothing lot to do, and being bored is something you really hate, much like any other ork. And the working sounds of your Tink Boy above you aren't really a symphony of any kind to listen to. In this boredom infused growing anger, you look at the pile of things you own in the corner and an idea strikes you. Idea to come up with ideas to turn into reality!

Coming closer and rummaging trough your stuff, you notice a lack of something, something dark and bloodied.

You burst out of your hut and quickly scout the area, you notice the carcass of the “wolf” you've killed not so long ago, then you trace trough the orks around it and you notice one of them holding what you are looking for, also checking out the quality of it.

In but a few big stomps you get near the ork, you're angry and greedy for the things you own but aren't exactly in your possession just yet.

In a quick swipe, you take the pelt much to the dismay of the other ork, but oh well, not like he can do anything against you, but he will definitely hold a grudge on this one.

Entering back to your hut, you bring your stuff closer to a table, get some tools which now are literally flooding the tribe's territory and get to pondering.

Turn the dark pelt, some of the scales, and the metal plates into better armor.
Hammer the sword into the basha to add more choppiness to it.
I'd also quite like to get started on turning the snake skull and such into a boar-drawn chariot, but we'll probably have to wait a while until the boars are bigger for that, so no rush there.

Sounds good to me. We can use the black pelt as a base for the armor and attach "ard" parts like the metal, bones, etc.

Also, wasn't woodbrain going to start working on a hammer for us when the house was done? I think it was a two-handed hammer with a snake tooth on the end (one side spiky, one side smashy).

Your fingers tap your chin as you think, it's a long and hard process, requiring you to use your brain on the highest gears, you even hear the brain cells working in your head before an idea strikes it, suddenly and sharply, like a hit with a brick. Or well, a log rather.

You grab some of the skin and scales and drag them onto the table. You measure them, place one on top of the other, cut some parts of one thing, add parts of another, you have an idea for an armor, it is in your head, you even see it on the table, but it's really hard to turn into reality.

You thought about crafting some more, but your itchy wounds feel like they won't let you do much with that, as such, you decide to do one of the orkiest things an ork can do. Do nothing.

Random strolls trough the tribe, beating some subordination into a few orks, lying down on your bed. All of these are done by you at random intervals just to pass the time, and it makes you definitely feel better, especially after eating a bit. Not a whole lot happens during your lazy time, but as the sun is now halfway down the horizon, your nob, which you have sent to loot, comes back with the widest grin you could ever see.

You quickly go behind the Nob and let him lead the way, your genes make the long road much shorter. Thick foliage, trees and rocks, bushes and vines do little to stop you and after few pointers and encourages from the Nob, you two reach the end of the forest and start of the road.

It's not a very huge road, just enough for carriages to go past each other when going in the opposite directions, it is heavily used though as you notice the well used tracks of wheels pushed into the ground practically permanently. Not to mention the sign of brutal fight where most humies are naked with only one body of an Ork with a big wound on his forehead. The road itself is pretty straight and flat, only further up and down it starts to wiggle around and bend up and down as the hills appear underneath it.

"Aaand dats where we were fightin', boss!” The nob says, pointing at the mess of a fight.

Quickly hobbling over to the body, you drag it quite nonchalantly into the thick bushes and cover it with a few sticks with leaves on it. Surely no one else will notice such cunningly thought out plan and hiding spot.

You say, dragging the Nob down the road, at first he seems confused as to how you are going to find any human settlement, but you promptly explain how you are going to do it; Following the road one way till you run into something that might tell you where a nearby city, or village is.

The walk is long, it takes some time to find a split on the road, but as soon as you do, you follow it, holding yourself near the bushes and going down, avoiding one group of human patrol, this only confirmed your suspicions, something IS nearby and you are about to reach it.

Just a few more minutes of walking made you reach your destination, a human settlement, and that settlement is...

A huge human settlement, village, bordering on actual city, and you can see that the only defense they have is just a wooden palisade with an unfinished gate! You can easily smash the wooden logs with your orkish strength, and the only towers are near the gate itself and aren't heavily manned, it's honestly the best you could get. You don't see what is inside of the city, but you will get a lot of valuable things from it no matter what. Not to mention the fight. Your boyz are not going to be tired OR bored anytime soon as the hype will build up.

And with that, you return to your tribe. It takes some time given how you far you went, the sun is halfway hidden behind the horizon when you return and you spot just leftovers from the carriage and there is no metal left. It seems that they got everything they wanted.
