Hey guys, I'm back from my surgeries and ready to resume our cutesy SoL with Ellie and Cedric.

IIRC, we left them during their honeymoon days. Should we start with their travel to Florida to spend some time with Cedric's dad?
>>
Oh wow! You're back! I missed you. And sure we can start there, but could we get a description of the wedding and everyone's reactions?

uhm? im pretty sure i punched in a description of the wedding before leaving. The news were there, of course, and Cedric and Ellie's coworkers from the department made them a hallway with the patrol cars before they drove off with the "just married" sign on theirs

Also, I have been back for a while, but had been resting on the weekends. Surgery left me 99.95% blind so I have to rest a lot nowadays.

Well, at least it stopped, I hope.

Let's wait for someone else to show up, and we can start, alright?

Also I really want to use this as Opening Picture, but I think people are used to the other one. What do you think?

Alrighty, so, everyone alright with going to see Cedric's father, Baldric.

Do you want to start with the travel by plane, arriving at the airport, or directly at the house?

Just arrived. It would be funny if Ellie was confident and completely fine with flying right until the acceleration started and the wheels left the ground, then sh clung to Cedric like a lifejacket. hahahaha
>>
>>41156115
It was a hilarious mess. At one point during the second surgery, they had to give me medicine to contract the eye, but the nurse made a mistake and gave me medicine to dillate the eye, so the surgery had to be cancelled and delayed for another week. In the end, im 99% blind, but at least I shouldnt go 100%

I hope

Anyway...

***

Ellie was flying for the 3rd time in her life.
Of course, as romantic as it would have been to go to france by boat, the newlywed couple simply did not had the means for such, so a plane was essential and obvious.

She was leaving France, and boarding a large plane with Cedric. They were going on the 14B and 15C seats of the second floor, rather close to the cabin.

She had been too scared on the first two flights, but this time she had asked for a window seat, feeling more comfortable with the large machine and not wanting to miss the sight.

Somewhat earlier...

[He said]

"Are you sure?" -he looked down at her with a somewhat worried expression, but her own face was bright and shot him back a blinding smile, so he nodded and confirmed the tickets.

He thought briefly about stealing the hotel towels as it seemed to be traditional in such ocassions, but he just couldnt bring himself to and quickly discarded the idea.

Ellie was leaning a little over the bed as she tried to pack her clothes into a suitcase that had been slightly large when they arrived, but was now somewhat small, considering all the stuff they bought.

From the side (and doubtlessly from behind), she made quite a sight, as her shapely figure lost nothing of its feminine appeal just because of something like jeans.

"Ahh" -he sighed resigned. There was not enough time to throw her on the bed and... well, they would have years from now on.

He made a mental note to do so as soon as they were back home.

(She said)

She leant forth with both hands and elbows, pushing with all her weight to get the suitcase closed.

>>41156296

"There!" -she exclaimed after a short 'unff!', having finally closed the now fat suitcase and secured the locks in place. "All ready"

She was wearing very stylish jeans and ankle-height boots, with a soft white T shirt and a open, pink shirt that pretended to be a jacket.

[He said]

"No, not ready yet" -and then he kisses her- "There, now we're ready"

She admonished for being silly and corny, but she was smiling as they left the room.

Paris had been fun, but Ellie was glad to leave and go back home, after a stop across the country to meet her husband's father.

The airport was massive and packed, but they made it to the counter without any trouble, and confirmed their tickets a last time.

***Now***

They were flying first class thanks to his father. He had been more than happy to pay for the tickets, throwing in a side comment along the lines of "if that's what it takes to get yoy to come say hi".

Of course, people tried not to stare, but Ellie did call plenty of attention, since she wasn't hiding her ears right now.

It was a rather fresh morning, but she did not seem to mind the cold, either. Indeed, elves seemed to be quite good with cold. Ellie didn't even felt a need to throw her uniform's jacket on when they went out to patrol in the middle of winter.

[He said]

"Are you alright?"
"Of course"
"Do you want some water?"
"I'm fine"
"Let me brooch up your safetly belt"
"Cedric, I'm going to get angry" -she said, puffing her cheeks a little bit, her ears twitching up and down in what he considered to be an adorable warning- "Stop babying me!"
"Alright... I'm going to get a pillow for myself, do you want one?"
"...yes"
"And some water?"
"Alright"

He kisses her and stands up from his seat, then heads over towards the flight assistant.

Well, he could have just pressed the button to ask her to come by, but...

2/?
>>
File: winged 001.jpg (217 KB, 500x706)

>>41156469

...he was used to taking care of himself, after all.

(She said)

The seat was soft, and the AC stream could be directed straight towards her, which was nice, because she really preferred a bit of cold to too much heat.

She smiled a little as she heard the flight attendant admonish her husband for standing up from his seat when they were about to take off.

Besides, if he needed anything, he should just press the button over the seats.

'Serves him right for treating me like a child' -she thought

Well, it was true that she had been quite horrified when the first plane took off after what felt like a huge sprint, and clung to him tightly, but she had only squeezed his hand the second time! True, she had bruised his hand, but she was certain that this time, she would be fine!

She had insisted in arriving early to the airport, and watched the planes landing and taking off for a long while.

It was alright. They didn't crash unto the ground.
It was alright. They all took off safely

She still felt safer and happier when he came back and sat next to her. He remembered to bring her a pillow, and a bit of water.

"You'll need to drink it quicly, we are about to take off" -he said as he handed her the cup
"Alright"

She drank the water while he secured his seatbelt, and the plane began to move shortly after.

It was quite the long flight

Anons want to cuddle

(She said)

Staring out the window, the world passed by same as always, as if mocking the feeling of acceleration she was feeling all over.

Really, if you are going to go that fast, at least it should look that way when you looked out the window!

Soon enough, the place was horizontal again, and the flight assistant came by to announce that they could unbuckle their seatbelts now.

Ellie freed herself, and turned to the left, wanting to look out and down at the world.

Thankfully, the clouds weren't that thick densely packed, so she could see France down below.

"E-eep!" -she cried surprised as her husband loomed over her and started nibbling on her ears- "Not now, you idiot!"
"Uhmm... but you are looking so adorable, I can't help it. That's right. It is your fault, so bear with it"
"Cedric!"

But she couldn't resist as he hugged her and kept kissing and nibbling at her ears.

"Cedric... wait, I want... the window"
"You can look out, right? I want to hold you, and you want to watch. There's no problem" -he said softly on her ear
"Hnnn...!"

The flight was 20 hours long.
She felt completely drained by the time they got to Florida
Her husband had clung to her the whole trip, without letting go.
It wasn't fair. Just because she was weak on her ears, he...!

Her legs felt weak

There were two lines at the airport, one for US Citizens and one for everyone else.

She was a US Citizen. Her documents said so. Thus, her line advanced rather quickly

The customs officer looked at her for a moment.

Was this racism? it was racism, right? humans and elves were a different species after all, so it couldn't be called anything but racism as she was asked to wait in a side room with her husband.

1/?

[He said]

"Of course her documents are new. Just think of her as a nationalized citizen" -e tried explaining again, with a sigh
"We hadn't had anyone like her before, you see? I watch television, I know her documents are real, I'm just concerned about letting someone into the state who may be carrying unknown diseases"

'Unknown diseases? Should I punch this guy?'

They should have kept every single passengers of the plane from crossing the custom lane if that's the case, since they could be potential carrier due to indirect exposure or something like that.

For those, they keep tabs on them when they travel home. Procedure is to detain a suspected carrier, and anyone else possibly in contact is kept tabs on until, A) the cause for concern is dismissed, or B) They start showing symptoms of contagious disease.

It is improbably to detain 200+ people on an international flight, so this is the best possible alternative.

We finally make it past customs, and go pick up our luggage. Since it had beena while, we had to ask for it on the airline counter.

"I never thought we would have more problems coming back to America than we did entering France" -he sighed in an apologetic tone
"It's alright" -she says- "Is your father waiting for us?"
"Oh no... dad." -he looked around in a rush.

Baldric was the type to make a ruckus, so Cedric quickly head over to customs, and sure enough, he was there.

The huge man was well into his 70s, and could without fear of error be called a 'senior citizen', but that body would and had put to shame many who considered themselves strong.

Right now, in fact, he was rising his arms as he shouted at a very intimidated, blue-faced-from-fear customs officer.

He had an airport guard hanging from each arm, and they looked rather upset at the old man's completely ignoring them and their stun guns.

"Dad!..."

(She said)

'Is that an ogre? no, if he's Cedric's father, I can accept it. That person is a human being? He is not an ogre... right?' -she tried to assure to herself

"Uhmph, you are in luck!" -the "old man" said to the officer as he spun around to hug his son, still carrying the airport guards on each arm as if they were some sort of exotic bag

"Cedric! you should have called me when you made it past customs!" -said the old man with a roaring laughter- "Oh! miss, thank you for marrying this dumb son of mine!"
"Yesthankyoupleasedon'teatme!" -she blurted out

It may sound like a joke, but the guards could sympathize with her words.

A few minutes later. They were all squeezed inside Baldric's car.

1/?
>>
>>41157527

"These japanese cars are more comfortable than they look" -Cedric skipped the 'I guess' when he saw his father somehow squeezing into the small-looking car, and then appear to be actually comfortable.
"I know, right? still, it's not as if I use it much. Do you want to sit upfront, are you giving the seat to your missus, or will you both go in tge back. Ah, no naugthy inside the car, eh!"

"I'm fine in the back" -she hurried out
"Is that so? alright then."

Cedric ended up riding with Ellie in the back. He had to hold her from time to time. Baldric drives as if he was riding a semi truck, not a small japanese car.

"So, did you kids had fun? of course you did, right? was the flight good?" -he asked while dricing with both hands on the wheel
"Yes, the seats were wide, and they served 3 meals."
"Its plane food as bad as it used to?"
"Dad, you paid first class. It was really good"
"It... it was great, father" -adds Ellie
"FATHER!?" -he roared/laughed- "Oh! as soon as we get your bags into the house, we are having a welcome party for your cute little wife!"
"There's really no need, father"
"Hah!"

The car finally leaves the highway and steers into the docks. The house is by the shore, a rather small house with its own wooden dock that leads to a relatively large boat (or a small ship, take your pick).

"The sun is very strong...." -the heat is starting to rise now that the sun is coming out.
"Ah, does it bother you, miss? want me to punch it?" -jokes Baldric as he glares at the sun and then at the petite elf girl
"No!" -she says, somewhat scared that he would
"Alright. We'll let it go punch-free for now, then. Could I get you a hat, then?" -he says while already going into the house for a straw hat

"Father won't punch the sun, right?"
"No, I don't think so" -Cedric says trying not to smile- "Not today"
"Alright"

However, the man-mountain does not come out to stop them. He is still looking for a hat.

"Oh, this is a nice boat!" -says Ellie as she looks at the pearly white boat
"Uhmm dad finally changed the radio and got a new one"
"I want to use the radio" -says Ellie
"This isn't the car, the radio doesn't links directly to a HQ or so. Its a broadwave radio. You can use it to talk to people around the planet"
"Ooooh, I want to use it even more, now!"

Cedric steps into the boat, and helps Ellie up.

"Does father does a lot of fishing?" -she asks, looking at the many rods in the boat
"Yes, h-"

"There you are!" -says Baldric as he easily steps onto the boat with a single easy step, and places a large wing straw hat on Ellie's head with two fingers- "How's that?"
"It is great, father"
"Father... ah, finally one of my boring sons got a nice girl" -he says, as if about to cry
"We are not boring"
"Sorry, I got bored, couldn't hear you all the way." -jokes Baldric while he step back out of the boat.- "I'm going to drag the car into the garage, and come back"

Ellie watches his huge back as it goes away

Well, its not a lie, but even dad wouldn't do something as exagerated as lifting the car. Not unless its tires were popped, anyway.

Well, by now, Ellie is completely convinced our dad is an ogre. Probably

In the meanwhile, they had fun looking around inside the boat.

For Ellie, it was a huge boat, compared to the collapsible leather canoes her people used to cross small bodies of water when they had to.

To Cedric, it was a boat he was very familiar with, and much like the grown man that goes back to the school of his childhood and wonders "was it always this small?", he couldn't help but feel like the fishing boat had shrunk with the years.

"Well, it looks ready to go out" -he said after looking around for a while- "What do you think? tired after the flight? would you like to go inside and rest?"
"Ah! I would like to go inside, but I don't need to rest. I think we should properly unpack before doing anything else"
"Alright, love" -he leant down under the hat so he could kiss her, then helped hed off the boat

As they head back, they saw Baldrick closing the garage.

"Ah, I knew the plane food couldnt be that good. " -he says matter of fact as he ushers them in- "Sit on the couch or something, it'll be a few minutes"

Thus, we... ah, dad changed the couch's leather cover. Well, it had been quite a while, after all.

"Dad, how come you can buy first class tickets but still have the same television?"
"Your mother bought that tv, you know?"
"I think your profile is sort of printed on the wall. This thing must ooze radiation or something. How about your son gets you a new one?"
"Uh... I guess I can give this one to charity, then"

'I doubt they would accept it' -thought Cedric, but didn't say it out loud

Indeed, it was easy to imagine the shelter people taking the tv just so they wouldnt offend the old man

The phone rings, and all too used to it, Cedric reaches out and picks it up from the little table next to the couch

"Hello?"
"Ah, I'm sorry. I must have dialed the wrong number" -says a feminine voice, and then hangs up

A couple of moments later, the phone rings again

'I knew it!' -thinks Ellie as she watches from the couch

"Well... you can be intimidating."
"Just so you know, her children think I'm the greatest thing ever"
"You're the tallest guy ever, I'll give you that"
"Uhm" -Baldric reaches out and grabs Cedric by the chin with ease- "Was this the impudent mouth that said that? should I spank you? no, it's more like, how hard should I spank you?"
"Dad, come on!"
"UHmph!" -he lets go

"I'm sure her children love you."

Indeed, dad could be quite fun to hang out with if you were a child. He didn't believe in electronics, but he would craft you anything with wood, and take great pains to teach you about anything you needed to know.

"There, spaghetti with black and white sauce and veggies! Go set the table while I take them out of the fire"

A bit later, around the table, everyone is enjoying their meal.

"Uhmm... father can cook such delicious dishes!" -says Ellie while her ears wiggle softly
"Ah, dad, did you tell Fredrick about miss Noriko?"
"Yes, why?"
"He didn't mention her" -well, now we have to make our brother pay, somehow
"Ellie, can you wash the dishes while Cedric unpacks? I'd like to go check on miss Noriko and see if she needs anything"
"Yes, father"
"Uhmm, good girl"

"Uhmm" -hums Cedric while watching his father leave the house and walk down the street.

From the safety of the 2nd floor window, of course

"Just a neighbor? and I'm a martian" -he says after watching the man strut happily down the street

Well, if it made him happy...

Going up to his old room, Cedric starts unpacking.

(She said)

The house seemed full of happiness. It was that atmosphere that spoke of honest people caring for eachother, which had Ellie positively humming with good mood.

Cedric's father was even larger than he had described him, and more than a little intimidating, but he seemed to be the source of her husband's strength and kindness.

The couch's leather had been changed recently, VERY recently, so he probably fixed it for their visit. The house was by no means badly kept, but it probably meant that Baldric was the type of man that wouldn't fuss over things when he was the only one concerned, yet would go to great lengths for his family.

As she placed the dishes on the rack by the window, she smiled. She married into a good family, full of loving people.

Also, the spaghetti was delicious.

Washing the dishes took all of 5 minutes or so, so perhaps...

"Cedric, which way are you?"
"Over here" -he called out from a room to the left of the stairs' end
"Here?" -Ellie walked into the room

Suddenly, she was grabbed tightly from behind. Of course, she knew he was there and had a pretty good idea of what he meant to do, but it was fine.

"Aaaah!" -she still let out a sweet, surprised little cry for Cedric's benefit
"Uhmm" -he happily hugged her from behind

"Are you done unpacking?"
"No..."
"Let's finish that, first?"
"Alright...."

Reluctantly, he let her go. But not before a kiss

"You seemed surprised about your father seeing a new women. Is it wrong to see someone new if your spouse passes away?"
"No, it's just that... dad had been alone for a long time"
"Then, isnt it a good thing?"
"I guess. But she's the same age as me? that just..."
"Uhmm... isn't it fine if she loves him?"
"...I guess. Yes"

She kisses her husband softly.

"You are a good son, Cedric"
-sigh- "Well, once we are done here, let's ask dad to take us fishing on the boat. Where's your swimsuit?"
"Here" -she says holding a smaller bag
"Put it on. It'll give the old boat a luxurious feeling to have a summer beauty on board"
"A luxurious feeling, is it?"
"Yes. Definitively"

Of course, he helped her both undressed and dressing up, and it took them four, five times as long as it would have taken her alone.

Bro, going topless on our beaches is fine in our book, it's even more than fine.

Those actually exist? Is the "view" any good if ya catch my drift? Do they charge money?
>>
>>41161917
Money? going to the beach is free. Going topless isn't forbidden though full nude require that you go to a nudist beach and there's a few of them that are free(most of them are property of a camping resort and require that you pay whatever fee for the camping ground).

For the view, well there's the bad, like the one hanging around they bellybutton or the landwhale, but most of the time it's prime material(and even some .... not quite prime yet).

Back in case anyone wanted to ask anything
