Homeland-plains of Arub Na Cul
Jungle of Tora Sari is where we are now.
Around us a river beginning in a waterfall to the north that runs east to west, a coast to the far west, and deep jungle generally all around. While searching the river they find an encampment of strange scale covered Manthings. Far south spooky cave.

Well...
Killgore instructs a group of the bulls to go into the cave and set up a mine along the veins of copper and iron of the cave. Although it is ramshackle at best and the supports may have a few worms and the torches flicker.... it is usable, but not recommended for a school field trip.

2 of the bulls are fully deticated to the mining and refining of the metals and fuel, adding 1 copper, coal, and iron per turn.

Upon noticing their meager lack of weapons, Killgore takes the hammer heads gifted by the Lizardfolk tribe and add handles to them all made from the strongest wood they could find creating three new WARHAMMERS.

The rest of the bulls take iron and procede to add heads to their spears while also hammering out 11 breastplates of copper.

The problem is that to maintain our bodies Minotaurs need a shitton of food and it needs to be balanced.

After much of the local vegation near the camp has been eaten, crushed, or just withered, it has been the popular idea to find new plants eat and feed on.

Many of the women take off into the jungle with their partner, searching for some form of vegation that can grow quickly and they come across a strange foreign plant that carries a bright orange pigmintation, grows quickly and can be eaten whole or stuffed. They also come across a strange small white grain that is pretty tasteless and takes a lot of water to grow, but is pretty filling.

Due to their new fields of rice and pumpkins the Minotaurs find much more time on their hands and deticate their imagination to improving their crops.

The bulls that farm dig out trenchs in the rice fields and let them fill with the swampy, muddy water of the jungle allow the rice to recieve better hydration.
It does improve the quality of the rice and has possible military usage.

Killgore having laid claim to one of the 3 hammer heads requested to have it improved by one of the Minotaurs that became the smith for the time being Rakrus.
)( hammered day and night at the forge, using the primitive anvils avalible to him and consuming the coal in the white hot flames to shape the Mithril.
When he is done with the hammer, it is a massive skull crusher with a deadly spike on the other side to pierce.

With his mind full of ideas he takes requests from the other bull with hammers and creates a large flat surface and enlists the aid of Stout Horns and proceeds to carve runes into its white hot surface and he spills the blood of the bull onto the groves.
When swung this hammer with cover itself with flames.

As for the last one which belongs to him, he makes the sides elaborate and decorated with the faces of roaring bulls and screaming dragons, also the many spikes help as well.

Upon hearing that there are Menthings, the length of their ears is not important, many of the bulls become protective of the tribe and set about building extra defenses.

The bulls proceed to build a watchtower of some sorts to keep an eye on the tribe and they expand the walls .>>41163592
Enabling warriors to walk on top of them. Inside of the watchtower Rakrus sets about his mechanical genius and constructs a primitive Ballista to fire bolts.

A couple Lizardfolk while visiting the village see the Chinamas and introduce the idea of using them to hold fish. This introduce a large, and close source of protein not including the pigs.

In order to keep up with Rakrus' hobby the need for more metals is needed and so 2 more bulls go into the caves in order to meet the demand, and with the added manpower the mine is improved in safety and goes deeper into the earth.

In the bowels of the earth the miners come across a strange yellow rock smelling of eggs and a white powder that dissolves in water in high quantities.

Best of three, the 11 goes to the armor

With the new influx of materials to work with, Rakrus lets his imagination free and takes to crafting and upgrading the various armors around the village. Then when he is wondering what to do, his eyes wonder to his hammer and inspiration hits him.

SPIKES
MORE SPIKES FOR ALL

His furor may of had over taken him a little bit as he used up all the copper available much to the chagrin to other handyman Minotaurs.
Now engaging in hand to hand or trying to get to close to a Minotaur warrior could deal damage to the attacker.

And then his attention carries over to the new components that where discovered. After experimenting with them for many hours, until he gets mad and throws them into a fire with carbon inside, creating a massive explosion knocking out Rakrus for an unknown amount of time.

Due to the energy in the air, or the pollen, all the females have become pregnant once more and the children seem to be growing faster. Several children mature and the rest of the women that were pregnant (3) give birth to 3 Long horns, massive compared to the rest of their brothers.

I did it again fuck!

After nearly having one of his mates hit when she went down to the river to get a drink, Killgore decided enough was enough. In the dark of the night he made his way to the Lizardfolk village and met with Saleth.

"Ah hello my friend from the plains! I myself was going to slither on by your camp to speak to you, thank thee for saving me the walk. What brings you here?"

"Saleth... everyday puts our people at risk near this river so long as the Long Ears continue to fire upon them, I come to ask you to aid us in striking against the Long Ears."

"What do you have in mind Killgore?" Saleth says with interest.
The two leaders spend the night debating and sharing strategies, and when sunrise comes they take leave and prepare for their warriors.

Part 2
Killgore enlists the aid of the Lizard folk swimmers and has them drive long tree trunks into the river bottom, forming a row of teeth, deep enough to not be seen. Next he has the Lizardfolk take their finely crafted nets and pull them across the banks early in the morning, to catch and stop any ships that go by.

Then each village has their warriors on the opposite sides of the river with ropes tied to the trees to swing across when the ships come by.

And they wait

Minor trade vessel with Gold, spices, and metals

Until they see the sails of the ship in the air, the although slack as they have yet to reach open waters and the crew is mostly on the deck pigging through the water with long oars. Some of the sailors brought their wives and such aboard as they were expecting to have a short voyage.

Then the ship shakes and a great crack is heard as the wooden stakes below pierce the hull, many of the crewmen are thrown to the floor. Killgore releases a great bellow and Saleth lets out a hiss and both sides swing on their ropes much to the surprise to the crew.

The one archer in the crow's nest fires off a few shots, but all miss due to his aim being thrown off thanks to shock and then a thrown spear piercing his heart.
Due to the blood rage that bull Minotaurs are born with, there are few male survivors and those that did survive jumped ship, swam to shore, and ran.

After the Lizardfolk took their share of the loot you are left with.

One night during the week in a bout of curiosity, Killgore takes one of the elven women and brings her to the Rock that the Great Spirit left. Awaking Stout Horns quietly without alerting the rest of the village he ask for his guidance in what he plans to.
"Hmm, the Great Spirit may be pleased, or offended due to the non-Minotaur blood. But who knows." The lay the woman upon the stone and Stout Horns begins to draw runes of sacrifice and exchange upon her, and with his great shout and her loud scream, he buries the dagger in her chest letting her blood spill upon the stone.

A great light takes up the stone and rumbles fill the air.

Muttering and the sound of stamping hoofs rattles the trees.

A pillar of light descends down from the sky and like a claw from a dragon and grasps the woman's form, and slowly carries her into the sky.

Then with a great crack of thunder and a lighting strike at their feet, an unclothed coughing form is left at Killgore's and Stout Horns' feet. Slowly it rises, with white spiritual paint on his face and horns, and jars around his waist.

Upon the next morning, the village is alive with activity and frivolities as the sounds of celebration are heard.
Old Drastgul was well loved by all of the old tribe for his kind nature and talents, Killgore himself had him set his leg after he broke it from fighting. Even the elven women, permitted to the party under careful watch were taken in by the old Minotaur trying to make his creaky legs move in an Gnome jig. A few pigs are prepared with 1 of the spices and shared among the village. After the party Drastgul attends to each of the pregnant women and aid those that could have possibly miscarried and such.

The next day an idea comes about to go and raid another ship, so the warriors go on done to the river and wait.

And wait.

When the sun begins to set they head home, it seems as if the elves are unwilling to send such easy prey as last, or as in such close timeframe.

Killgore upon hearing of the news of the incoming attack, takes for the Lizardfolk village to not only warn them but also request their aid. Saleth pledges to aid them when the contracters come down the river.
With the knew found knowledge that they can bring back the lives of their old tribe members due to the stone, capturing men alive for sacrifice is of highest priority.
One of Rakrus' apprentices comes up with the idea of affixing plates of metal in a large disk to block blows and arrows, which could have save the lives of the 2 bulls who perished.

Stout Horns far sights the way of passage that the contracters will be taking, which is the same river the trader ship took, on a ship with 5 cannons and ...MENTHINGS with sticks that shoot death.
"MEEENNNTHINGGGSS!!!" roars Killgore as Stout Horns tells him what he has seen
The whole village goes quite as each and every bull feels rage building within as the memory resurfaces, even those that were not there were told stories when they were growing up about their tribes slaughter.

When the battle comes, the menthings will pay.
Part 1
>>
>>41168814
Fuck I butchered that. Quiet and missing periods. Oh well

The Lizardfolk drive down more stakes into the mud, and erect a simple bride across river for the purpose of boarding the vessel. However one thing is different, right at the narrow bend of the river lies the stolen cannon of the elves, with the cannon ball and powder ready.
Now roll for the battle. You guys get +5 for the fucking traps.

>>
>>41168952
>>41168911
I'll do the battle with Kelyan's roll, sorry Storyteller maybe next time.

The time has come. Many of the bulls have slept in their armor in preparation for this day. Dressed in their spike covered, copper armor, holding their iron tipped spears, and the those large enough, mithril hammers tightly in one hand, and iron shields in the other, they are ready for war. They have prepared lassos and rope for the prisoners, but chances are they will be used for little more than stringing up dead meat.
Killgore leads the march, a silent affair, until they are near the river. The ramshackle bridge sturdy enough to hold atleast 10 bulls at once, ready to deliver them to fight.

Then it hits them.

That smell, that has been branded into their brains ever since that day.

And as the bow of the ship crosses the turn and the cannon blows a hole the size of a Minotaur into its wooden hide, Killgore the Breaker of Manthings bellows "SMASH THE MANTHINGS BELOW YOUR HOOFS!" as he takes a running leap to deck of the ship and crushes one of the armored onboard.

Almost done.

elementals, people seem to struggle with as well.
>>
>>41169247
At the end of the battle the ship that was crewed by at least 100 men, a good 50 of which were warriors, is now conquered.
The lizardfolk due to the nature of the plan suffered very few losses, clasp hands with their new and very beneficial friends and take their leave with their loot.

Due to the attack being a surprise, the traps, and the fact the human had no real clue where we were only 1 Minotaur perished and that was due to misjudging his jump, hitting his head and drowning below.

The river is becoming a bit crowded due to the two ship corpses clogging its waters. Something will soon need to be done. Few prisoners were taken due to the rage of the bulls and the few nonlethal means of attack they have, but there was a few.
There was no women aboard as this was mainly a military vessel.
>RESULTS
>100 units of gunpowder

I suggest Sacrificing the men one by one to the stone. Or perhaps all 20 at the same time.

As for the crowded riverway the river will swell with rain soon enough and the wreckage will sink. Either we can salvage wood from these vessels or we should try to pull them up and let it drift downriver to harm one our enemies bridges?

Maybe salvage both boats, and strap some humans around on them......use one to tow the other.....make it look like the humans 'found' the missing ship.

Load them both with gun powder, and get them as close to the port as possible....then blow them up. Use nails/rocks/ for shrapnel?

Deciding to sacrifice the 20 POW's for some of their dead tribemembers, the village is alight with frenzy. With the men blindfolded in a line before the stone, Stout Horns having prepared them before hand with the proper runes and such, he slits their throats upon the stone. The lifeblood is absorbed into the stone and it seems to grow a inch.
Then a flash fills the eyes of the villagers
A roar is heard.
A great stomp is heard as 10 heavy hooves hit the ground.

WAAAHHHH

The Lizardfolk agree to scout out the Elven City and 10 scouts armed with rifles swim upstream for 2 days, resting along the way. When they get to the city, it is open on one side with a port and has going up and down the river fishing and trading.
There are 15ft with walls with 5 ballistas encircling the City with a gate for the road from which many caravans and travelers come in and out from. The city is on high alert due to disappearing trade and Iron Legion ship, but the general populace does not know the source.
Within the city is a flourishing slave, spice, and manufacturing market.
The scouts discover a sewage drain leading to the center of the city that empties into the river.
The cities guard is armed with longbows and spears. Mithril is considered a commodity imported from outside. There are approximately 80 guards due to heightened security. The city has about 270 civilians. The slave population numbers 200, it is not included in civilian.

Ok, we can do this.

Send a ship in loaded with captive humans, engage the guards from on board the ship. Have our people on the ship use cover and shields to defend mainly. We want to draw the guards near the ship. When enough guards get close to the ship, or on the ship, we blow the ship. That will be the signal for our lizard allies (who are already hiding in the sewer), to storm the slave quarters/market center, and free the slaves. As the guards are bouncing from the explosion in the port, and the attack on the market/slave quarters......that's when we bust in the gate (that we open with our cannons), and charge.

(Just tossing out a plan we can work on a bit)

>>41171314
>The frontal assault is important as it will strech the already small town guard even thinner.

That's key. We're more than a match for most guards. Stretching them out, should let us maul them in mass quantities.

Plus, hopefully the lizbro's get the slaves free, which will add even more chaos for the remaining confused guards to deal with.
>>
So block the port with our repaired ships so no one escapes, send the lizarbros to the sewers and attack the frontal gate with our minotaurs, right?
>>
>>41171329
>but what about the ballistas? they're gonna shoot some big holes

Well....they can target the ship and cannons.....or they can shoot at the freed slaves, or they can shoot at our minotaurs charging the gates....Either way, one group will take them out after a few shots (hopefully)

We might get a lucky cannon shot or two even.

Basically, except I'd say we wanna have the ship used to draw out a large portion of the guards, to help stretch them thin, and thus increase the odds of our lizbro's success?

>>
>>41171385
Agreed. but we also don't want to stretch ourselves to thin. I feel like we had a good idea using the bomb ship. Also I think we should let the freed humans and elves live and only sacrifice the ones with no usable skills. This place is a commerce hub and nobody would trade with a place controlled by minotaurs and lizard men. Maybe we can make the fiercest fighters of the freed elves a kind of puppet governor.
