You are Captain WILLIAM PIERCE, a combat rescue officer of the United States Air Force!

And you have just been told that two of the witches under your command, one of which you are dating... are both pregnant.

"Are... are you sure?" You feel your chest tighten and your legs liquefy and you stumble backwards into the wall. "It has to be come kind of mistake, right?"

"I had them redo the tests three times." Kelsey sighs. "I wouldn't have come here if I wasn't sure."

"Well... what happens now?" You whisper, clearly distressed.

"Well, legally and ethically, I'm obligated to inform them." Kelsey grunts, obviously not looking forward to the duty. "But considering the current situation, discretion might be the better alternative."

"Well, how does the Air Force normally handle things like these?" You ask.

"Normally, pregnancy is a massive violation of our non-fraternization policy." Kelsey explains. "Assuming the violating personnel aren't discharged, we'd certainly cycle them into a noncombat post or forced leave. However, that only applies to regular personnel. Witches, I'm not too sure about since they exist outside standard chain of command."

"Are there any precedents?" You ask.

"Plenty." Kelsey snorts. "I did a little research. Apparently it wasn't uncommon for witches to go into battle when expecting. I recall a story during the Martian War where one particular witch who airdropped into Normandy was 8 months in and literally delivered on the battlefield. However, that's one of the outliers."

"I'm not sure, I can easily picture Nungesser doing that." You glower.

"But as their official commanding officers, informing them is going to be our call." Kesley sighs. "Informing them might create blowback, but so can staying quiet, as we'd be knowingly withholding information from them."

"Wonderful." You groan.

"Now, I do have a question." Kelsey narrows his eyes. "Nungesser I can understand, but Janice? How did that happen?"

"I don't know!" You try to recall each one of your "activities." "As far as I can tell, we've been using protection all this time."

"Then a million in a one shot. This kid of yours must be the literal chosen one then." Kelsey jokes weakly.

"As if I didn't have enough pressure on me already." You groan.

"We gotta tell them. It's the right thing to do." You sigh.

"I figured as much." Kelsey nods. "I'll go-"

"No, I'm their CO. I'll do it." You stand up. "Thanks for telling me, Colonel. We'll figure this out."

"I'm sure you will." Kesley nods, stands up, and then pauses. "Though, if something similar were to happen to my niece, well, I hope you like clearing ice off tarmac in Alaska."

"Noted, sir." You gulp.

Kelsey gives a nod and then makes his exit. You follow him out and head straight to the kitchen, where Nungesser and the girls were.

"Ah, Captain! I hope your talk with the Colonel went well?" Nungesser smiles as she brushes off her hands. Behind her, Misono is showing Laika and Artya how to properly and safely dice meat and vegetables. Laika has trouble doing it, though Artya is scaringly proficient at it right off the bat.

"Ah, nothing much." You shrug. "Just some updates on the front. Anyways, has Jacques found Bullseye yet?"

"Hmmm, if he did he would have been back by now." Nungesser sighs. "Though there probably can't be many more places for my sweetie to hide! After all, this IS my property, after all!"

"Uh huh." You nod. "Well, maybe I should help out. It's starting to get dark and we ALL know how Bullseye gets when he's hungry."

"Particularly ravenous." Nungesser chuckles mischievously.

This draws the attention of your three girls, who eye Nungesser with curiosity. You have second thoughts leaving them alone with her, but you trust that Misono should be able to keep things under control. Hopefully.

"Make sure cooking is ALL you teach them." You grunt.

"Oh, of course!" Nungesser giggles. "Don't worry, I'll keep it age appropriate!"

Somehow you're not quite convinced. However, you push it to the back of your mind. You needed to find Bullseye, after all. You head out the front door the main grounds, where you see Rex and Jacques standing outside of the landed Osprey. Well, you guess you can figure what was going on.

"I'm surprised he hasn't taken off." You note as you walk up to both men.

"He'll have trouble with the fuel line cut." Rex shrugs and looks at your mortified stare. "Jacques' idea, not mine."

"Easily fixable, and still achieves our objectives." Jacques says simply. "Don't worry, I can handle the repairs."

"Right, right." You shake your head. "Anyways, what's the sitrep?"

"As you could guess, Bullseye has fortified himself in the Osprey. I mean, I guess we can just break in, but I'd rather not risk damaging it." Rex shrugs. "Or you could try coaxing him out. Me and Jacques tried but he won't listen to us."

"All right, how about you two get inside? I do not trust Nungesser alone with the girls in a kitchen." You suggest.

"Oh dear, we should be going right away, then." Jacques says a bit quickly.

After Rex and Jacques leave, you head over to the Osprey and key your short range radio.

"Yo, Bullseye, you still alive in there?" You ask.

"Go awaaaaaaay." Bullseye groans.

"Nope, I'm not leaving here until you do." You say sternly like a chastising parent. "Now quit acting like a baby, get out, and let's grab some dinner. I can't imagine there being any food in there."

"I got some emergency rations and MREs in the survival kit here."

"Like I said, I can't imagine there being any food in there." You grunt in response.

"Of course I do!" Bullseye snaps.

"Then why don't you fucking act like it!" You snap back. "You know, it was funny at first, but now it' starting to become serious chickenshit! You're flat out actively avoiding her now! How am I supposed to believe you feel otherwise?"

"Because I'm not good enough for her!" Bullseye yells.

"W-what?" You blink. "What does that have to do with anything!"

"Come on, Boss, she's totally out of my league! She's pretty much a goddamn princess! And me? I'm just an above average helicopter pilot from Alabama! All I'm gonna do is drag her down!"

"...you're from Alabama?" You gasp.

"It's not something I advertise." Bullseye grumbles. "Either way, I'm nothing more than a peasant to her! What are the other witches gonna think?!"

"You should know by now that Nun doesn't give a shit about what other people think of her." You retort. "Besides, I've seen witches pick worse partners. The fact that you're still alive, and your pelvis is still intact, goes a long way to show that you've got what it takes."

"You... you really think so?" Bullseye gulps.

"Damn right I do. Now you're going to come out of that Osprey, have dinner with the rest of us, and let Nun have her way with you all night! Understood?"

"Can we leave that last part out?"

"Denied. It's an order, not a suggestion."

"Also, I got something to tell you and Nun." You say as the rear ramp of the Osprey lowers and a tired, haggard looking Bullseye staggers out.

"Got something to do with Kelsey?" He asks.

"How do you know?" You blink in surprise.

"The Osprey's still got windows, you know. I saw his helo land earlier." He xplains.

"Well, yeah, it does kinda." You nod. "But it can wait till after dinner. We also gotta get you cleaned up."

"Yeah, yeah." Bullseye sighs as he walks with you back to the chateau.

"And really? Alabama?" You grin. "You don't even have a hint of the accent. You really went through all the trouble to hide it?"

"It took a while, but yeah." Bullseye nods.

"Mind giving me a taste? I just gotta know how you sound with it." You crack a smile.

"Ha ha, fuck you, Boss." Bullseye laughs weakly.

"Couldn't hurt to try." You laugh.

By the time reach the chateau, Jacques is already waiting for your return. He swiftly whisks Bullseye away to get cleaned up and ready for dinner.

However, dinner is anything but formal. Nungesser and Laika are both back to their regular and extremely messy eating habits, overloading their plates and gobbling up food with reckless abandon. Unfortunately, Artya seems to be picking up their habits too, raising her mask just enough to uncover her mouth as she shovels food in as well. It appears with Janice not present, all pretenses of manners and etiquette were gone. Your turn to Misono, who just shakes her head in exasperation.

Meanwhile, You and Rex just sit off to the side, trying to finish your meal, while Nungesser of course sidles up uncomfortably close to Bullseye. Jacques meanwhile hangs off in the background keeping an eye on things under his watchful stare.

"Huh, dinner and a show." Rex muses.

"I know, right." You chuckle.

Dinner goes on for a little while longer, pretty much up until all the food runs out.

"Seconds! Seconds!" Laika demands, pounding her fists on the table.

Likewise, Artya silently starts pounding her fists on the table as well.

"Honestly, you two must have eaten at least four servings!" Misono shakes her head in exasperation. "Will, can you please help control them."

"Yeah, I was getting around to it." You grin as you walk over and pick up both Laika and Artya by their collars. "Cool it, you two. It's bed time."

"AWWWWWWWW." Laika groans. "Really?!"

"Really." You confirm.

Artya just glares at you glumly through her mask.

"Don't you be giving me the stink eye." You caution. "Rex, Misono, make sure these two go to bed and STAY there."

"At once!" Misono says loyally, grabbing Artya.

"Yes sir." Rex nods as he picks up Laika.

"Noooooooo!" Laika wails as she's carried off.

"They're just all so adorable!" Nungesser squeals after the girls leave. "I'm so jealous you have three daughters like that, Captain!"

"Well, two daughters-" You start.

"Oh please, don't even try to pretend you aren't keeping Artya!" Nungesser snorts. "With how she gets along with Laika, there's no way you're going to separate them!"

Damn. She's surprisingly sharp when she needs to be.

"Well, anyways, there's something I need to tell the both of you." You sigh.

"Hm?" Nungesser raises an eyebrow. "What is it?"

Nun, Bullseye." You stand up and take a deep breath. "You're both going to be parents."

The difference in reactions is pretty telling, but very predictable. Nungesser's face instantly brightens, becoming almost luminous as she squeals in delight, her familiar popping out and sparkles exploding around her as she temporarily loses control of her magic.

Bullseye merely faints, falling out of his chair and being helpfully caught by Jacques before hitting the ground.

"Oh, this is wonderful news!" Nun laughs.

"Congratulations, Nun." You smile. "Though I can't help but ask. You planned for this to happen, didn't you?"

"Hm? Whatever do you mean?" Nungesser looks at you with faux innocence.

"Oh, come on. The fact this place is empty, and from what Jacques told me about you, it was easy to piece together." You shake your head. "You had plenty of opportunity to set it up, too."

"Well, I won't deny having children is one of my greatest wishes." Nungesser smiles, a bit sadly this time. "But that's an interesting hypothesis you have there."

"It is." You sigh and glance at Bullseye, who's still out cold. "What are you going to do if he says no?"

"He couldn't possibly refuse... could he?" Nungesser bites her lip. "He was growing so distant, so I was afraid..."

"Aw jeez, how could you both be so goddamn stupid?" You facepalm. "Look, Bullseye really does love you and he wasn't going to be leaving, no matter how much he tries to convince himself he is."

"But-"

"But what you did here, well, you're risking throwing all that out the window because of some insecurity." You groan.

"W-w-what should I do?" Nungesser stammers, looking a bit distressed now that the implications of her actions were finally catching up to her.

"Well, despite what I've said, I'm pretty sure you two can make it work." You sigh and head for the door. "If it's any help, the reason Bullseye was avoiding you was because he thought he wasn't good enough for you. You should show him how damn wrong he is."

"I-I will." Nungesser starts tearing up.

"Well, I'll leave you two to your privacy, then." You say. "I've got to make a few calls. I also won't tell anybody else about the pregnancy, so that's all up to you."

"Thank you, Captain." Nungesser sniffs and wipes a tear from her eye.

"Just doing my job." You grin before closing the door. You the let out a deep breath as the tension flows out. THAT was harrying experience, and you hadn't even talked to Janice yet!

You consider giving her a call, but you know that she's several timezones ahead of you. At this hour, it's probably already the middle of the night in Ukraine. While you're sure she's probably staying up to treat the wounded, you don't know whether it's a good time to call.

Screw it. This matter was too important to wait. You pick up the phone and redial the UN dispatch number. Within a few minutes, you're dispatched to their Ukraine field base.

"Will?" You hear Janice's voice again, this time sounding much more tired. "Why are you calling again? And at this hour?"

"Um, Janice, I have something to tell you." You sigh. "Are you sitting down?"

"Yes I am." Janice responds, a bit concerned. "What is it? Is something wrong?"

"Well, I guess it depends on your point of view." You give a hollow laugh. "Remember those blood tests we had to take? The results came back, and... well... they say you're pregnant."

The line is silent.

"Janice?" You ask, concerned.

"Oh... oh my god..." Janice gasps. You can hear her breathing pick up on the other end of the line. "We were both so careful! How could... how could..."

"I don't Janice, but it happened." You sigh. "I know it's scary and unexpected. I reacted the same why when I found out."

"W-what should I- we do?!" Janice's voice begins to crack. It was so surreal, seeing her normally calm demeanor cracking like this.

"Jan... JAN! Listen to me." You say sternly. "We're going to figure this out, you hear me? It's not the end of the world, so just take a deep breath and calm down."

"Y-you're right." Janice's breathing begins to thankfully slow. "W-where do we go from here?"

"Well, Kelsey said he'd respect our decision, whatever it is. I think you of all people should know how witches deal with pregnancy."

"Yes, but... I never thought it'd happen here and now!" Janice groans. "What should we do?"

Well, might as well get the edge off by taking a walk. You could use the fresh air anyways. The garden is dark, only barely illuminated by a few external lamps and lights. A cool breeze blows through, chilling your skin but refreshing you at the same time.

"Can't sleep?" Rex asks, walking alongside you, his head tilted up to look at the stars above.

"Something like that." You nod. "The girls are asleep?"

"Misono's keeping an eye on them." Rex assures you. "Despite what they claim, they drop like rocks when they're tired."

"Ah." You nod. "You can't sleep either?"

"Nun and Bullseye have been keeping me up." Rex grunts.

"Weird. You're room isn't anywhere near theirs." You frown.

"It isn't." Rex says simply.

"Well, I guess it IS her house." You chuckle.

"Ah! So there you two are!" Misono says in a scolding tone. "That was rather rude of you, Rex-sama, leaving me behind like that!"

"Yes. I was taught to notice the smallest details, after all." Misono looks up at the starry night sky. "He told you something very distressing, didn't he? Is the war not going well?"

"Ah, well, it's not that." You glance at Rex, who looks at the both of you curiously, but doesn't say anything. "I was going to tell everybody in the morning, but I may as well tell you all now. Janice is pregnant."

"Congratulations." Rex says simply.

"P-p-pregnant?!" Misono gasps as she grips the hilt of her katana. "Did... did somebody violate her purity?! We shall hunt the fiend down!"

"Whoa, calm down, Misono!" You cry. "It was me! I was the one that got her that way!"

"W-wait...." Misono pauses as the gears in her head turn. "That means that you... and her..."

Oh dear, now you remember that as one of the newest additions, Misono wasn't quite aware of how deep your relationship went. You see the poor girl's face glow bright red in the night when she puts two and two together.

"Sc-scandalous! Shameful!" Misono wails. "How could you do something like this?!"

"Well, Misono, when two adults love each other very much and are very close to one another, things like that happen." You say with a slight smile. "Besides, I would have figured you'd be happy to have another sibling."

"Yes, well, but-" Misono stammers.

"Besides, I wasn't expecting it either." You sigh. "Life just kinda throws these things at you, you know?"

"Hmmm, I suppose that's an acceptable answer." Misono nods, but keeps her glare at you. "And you will take responsibility?"

"Well, of course I would!" You blink. "Not like I can leave anyways. There's no hiding from Janice."

"True." Misono nods, her grip on her katana finally relaxing. "I was afraid I would have to behead you for shaming our family name."

"Hahaha, that's a good one, Misono." You chuckle nervously.

"I was not joking." Misono grunts.

The air silent for a few awkward seconds before Misono suddenly snorts and breaks out into laughter.

"Pfffthaha! You should have seen the look on your face"! Misono wipes a tear from her eye. "Perhaps the great Captain Pierce isn't as invincible as he thinks he is!"

Oooooh, that clever little snake.

We already did, Pierce found out he's dating all three of his witches and is only a matter of time before they want some babies.

Also we should tease Rex about if Misono thinks we are bad, look at Rex.

"Well, Misono, you've been very naughty." You smirk. "And naughty girls must be punished!"

"W-wha?!" Misono yelps in surprise as you lunge forward and give her a vicious hair ruffling. "A-ah! Stop it will! You'll tear it apart!"

"Oho, hitting a weak spot, am I?" You cackle.

"You're going to tangle it all up! You don't know how hard it is to take care of long hair like thiiiis!"

Meanwhile, Rex looks on with a bemused expression.

"You two sure look like you're having fun." He notes.

"Wanna join in?" You grin.

"No thanks. I'll wait till I get my own kid." Rex shakes his head.

"Pretty bold statement to make there."

"Just following my commander's lead." Rex fires back.

"Somebody help meeeeee!" Misono wails.
