“Uh… Dad, what awe your fwiends like?” you ask with a turn of your head and a ruffle of feathers as you balance on your perch. Perhaps he’ll forget having asked you to promise him if you redirect the topic.

“Well, sweetie, your ol’ man went on many adventures with many friends, but the ones who kept on while he settled down should be: Aaron, the tough looking bloke, Lydia, the one with gaudy get up, Gorgram, the short one but don’t tell him I said that, and finally Oma, the one with the pointy ears. Aaron and me go way back, Lydia is the most eccentric, just don’t say anything about Gorgram’s height really, and whatever you do, don’t say “elf” to Oma. She isn’t an elf, least not a full one.” Your father explains and forewarns.

You nod along excited to meet his comrades-in-arms, after all they could probably tell you a lot about your father, like how he got his claw-scar on his face, what type of adventurer he was, and how he met mom.

“Alright girls, now like always stick close to Papa and don’t go flying off.” He says as he places a hand on Ciel his other reaching out to the door. It opens and you hear the clinking of mugs and idle chatter of the bar patrons.

The interior could best be described as rustic, first off everything seems to be made of wood, there are a multitude of tables and chairs and in a few places there are strange walls allowing for a multitude of dark corners to form, there are pelts of strange beasts on the walls and hanging in the center of the establishment is a chandelier made of various tusks, antlers, and spines. Visible from the front of the pub is the bar itself, the long counter lined with bar stools, behind it large kegs, bigger than a man stand tall ready to release their nectar for patrons. Behind the counter a large, bull headed man stands polishing a glass with a dirtied rag. You glance around the establishment there are a large number of people here, you think, you’ve never been in a bar or pub before. Except that one time you needed to use the bathroom while in the city, but you don’t count that.

Maybe your little eagle eyes can spot dad’s friends before he can.

There you see a large looking strong man with curly black locks, another figure sits next to him taller in height, covered in robes and baubles your only tell on gender is the rather large protrusions from the front of her robes, she hides her face under a wide brimmed hat, next to them is a short stocky man with a long fiery red beard and a shaved head, he has five glasses empty in front of him already and is well on his way through another, and finally there is a woman with long blonde hair and semi pointy ears she is wearing a rather nice sundress and straw hat and seems out of place in a pub.

You are just so excited, Dad’s old adventuring buddies, right over there chatting it up. You look over to your father who is still scanning the area. For a moment you think of drawing his attention to his friends, however you could probably learn something juicy secrets about him and Mom, you glance over to your father’s other shoulder where your twin sits perched. This will be your first mission without her, but it requires the up most in stealth to be able to pull off what you are planning.

You hop off your perch on Dad’s shoulder, using your wings to soften your descent to the ground. Your feathers might not be enough for you to fly yet but you have more than enough for a controlled descent. You don’t flap your wings in an attempt to avoid detection as you gently glide to the ground below, talons clacking as you land on the wooden boards. Now comes the really tricky part, sneaking your way over to the party without being detected.

Your tiny talons clack as you skitter between chair legs and under tables, eyes on the prize, Aaron’s shoulder. A chair gets backed up by a brown robed patron and you make your way under the table, closer, you dart out from under there and over to the table behind where Dad’s old party is sitting, almost there. You jump with all your might, flapping your not-quite useless wings as you lift yourself up onto the chair directly behind Aaron, then you turn leaping up onto the table, one last jump is all it will take. Your eyes zero in, the perfect perch of the day.

Your talons landing perfectly into place as they clench around the man’s shoulder, stopping just short of piercing flesh, but probably sinking a bit into his skin, oops. “My, my, it seems like we have a new little friend.” The tower of cloth that is Lydia chuckles raising a hand to her face.

“Ugh, and she’s got quite the grip.” Aaron says in a half serious, half joking manner as he reaches to his shoulder to help unstick you claws from his clothing.

“Who are you little one? Are you lost?” Oma says looking at you inquisitively a hint of concern in the, your pretty sure she is an elf,’s voice.

What was the biggest monster you ever fought? How long have you been around here?” You rapid fire questions not waiting for answers as you try to get information.

“I dunno, Steven might not want to have us telling you all about his exploits without him around.” Oma says bringing a hand to her chin and tilting her head.

The group leans over and looks to where you are pointing, they all seem to squint for a sec before their faces light up with surprise, well you think they all are joyful, you can’t really tell about Lydia seeing as the hat and the robes but you assume it’s the same reaction as the rest.

“Well, I’ll be damned.”

“It’s Steven!”
The adventurers reactions are priceless as they chuckle and laugh rising from their seats, heading over to greet your father.

No no no, you wanted secrets! The secrets must flow! You think as you are dragged by your perch back across the bar to where your father and sisters are looking around, probably for you.

Welp thread still up so some progress as promised. Still working on the proportions and other such things. They do not have body types to get to look right easily.

Nice work so far, I know its a bit difficult because Harpys, babies, and body types dont mix well.

Two little things for when you get into the detail wotk. They have little tail fans, and Dad has a rather full beard and a 3 clawed scar on his cheek.
