+ Just...just relax for now, Kyoko-san. + You pulse hurriedly, trying your best to calm the Eversor down before the situation got more out of control than it already was, with Iori obviously hovering between being worried and being confused. + I've got something planned, and I'll definitely need your help, but we can't discuss it right now. Not around Minase-san, and definitely not within Officio walls. + Taking care not to move too quickly, you make your way to Kyoko's bedside and place a calming hand on her shivering shoulder. + I promise we'll get sempai back. One way or another, we'll get her back. +

+ No matter what it takes. + You finish, blinking in surprise at your own conviction. Surprise at the sudden rise of hot determination swelling up in your chest, somehow reminding you of a young woman who fought as much with a sword as she did with a summoned sleuth of man-eating bears.

As soon as you pulse your promise does Kyoko finally seem to heed your plea, the Eversor growing still, the tension in her frame slowly but clearly melting away. She removes her hand from her one remaining eye, and the bloodshot orb that looks your way glistens with unshed tears of relief. Of gratefulness. Of dread momentarily calmed by the promise that yes, somehow things will turn out okay.

And it's here, despite yourself, despite the circumstances that brought all this together - you find yourself getting just a bit envious of your sempai, just like you did back at Siberia. While you're not quite that crazy about having someone obsess over you to the point that they'd forsaken both divinity and sanity with as much relish as they would probably consume someone's living, beating heart - you can definitely say with honesty that you do feel that traitorous pang of emotion biting deep at the sight of Kyoko.
>>
>>41279387

To have a friend like the Eversor - someone who would react with such unrestrained, unflinching worry about you as soon as they confirmed that you were indeed in dire straits, and immediately demand to be at the forefront of any plan, no matter how insane, to help you - that isn't just the world granting you a boon.

It's the universe, taking one of its rare breaks from crapping on everyone else to give you a fighting chance against the miserable, regret-filled existence of life.

By the same token, though, it also meant that the universe had more than just crap roiling in its guts to dump on top of your head - it was simply making sure that you had just enough of a fighting chance to last through to the very end.

Still. It reminded you that you didn't...really have a friend like that. Yes, of course there's your sempai, you know full well that if she thought you were in distress at all, she'd be reducing the source of your grief into mere biological wreckage the moment she found it in her sights. But to have a friend that was that loyal, that gallant...it made you wonder, just like when you did upon discovering the timeline-spanning romance between a pink-haired goddess and your sempai's past selves, what she did to deserve someone like Kyoko.

Maybe she'll tell you, one day. Maybe you'll never find out. You hope you do, though.

"Should I...should I call the nurse? Kyoko-san, do you want me to...?" Iori's voice finally manages to float through the migraine sting of pulsing. "Midori-san, should I--"

"Nah. Don't...don't need 'em." The Eversor tiredly chimes from the bed, holding up a hand and waving it at Iori's direction. "S'fine. I'm fine. Just...'nother one of them headaches I keep getting when I worry too much." The outstretched arm flops down onto the bed as Kyoko grins. "Sorry. Can't really do the entertainin' host thing really well at the moment."

[1/2]
>>
>>41279421

"Don't be silly, Kyoko-san. You don't need to entertain us, you're still recovering!" Iori chides the redhead, nudging her gently on the shoulder, before pulling out what looks like an embroidered napkin from her skirt pocket to wipe at Kyoko's sweat-bedewed forehead. "Just take it easy. The more you focus on recuperating, the faster you'll be out of there."

It's here, then, that the idol giggles. "It's funny. I've always thought that Magical Girls wouldn't need bed rest to recover from fatigue or injuries. As it turns out they still do, just like the rest of us."

"Sayaka doesn't," Kyoko volunteers, grinning. "But she's really somethin' else. She can grow stuff back in like a second if she's mad enough."

Iori stops, paling rather considerably at that. You can almost see the mental image of it involuntarily blossoming in her mind "I...I see. Well, I do hope I won't have to be around when she demonstrates that!"

"Aw, why not?" The red-haired Eversor laughs here. "It's really awesome! 'Specially how it sounds! Like, you hear the bone crunching as the joints force themselves together, like really big knuckles crackin', and--"

"K-Kyoko-san, please, you have to rest!" The idol insists, sweating now, a brittle smile set on her lips. "Maybe I really do have to call the nurse, you sound a bit delirious! Just give me a moment, and--"

Before Iori could carry out her throat, however, it's here that a knock issues from the door leading to the room, followed by the door itself being pushed open. Sayaka, in all her transformed, caped glory, stepping in - a shattered purple star pinned to her throat. Your sempai's Warmaster emblem.

[2/3]
>>
>>41279446

"Alright, I know everyone's catching up with everyone, but let's not get carried away. There are other patients on this floor after all." The blue-haired girl says in a slightly admonishing tone as she steps forward. Nodding at you curtly, then smiling at Iori, before finally rounding on the redhead on the bed. Clucking her tongue at the amount of empty snack boxes strewn all over. "...Kyoko, I know I told you to have whatever you want since you're re-acclimatizing, but I didn't say go fucking crazy with the junk food." Sayaka bends down to pick one up off of the floor, before gently knocking it against the other Eversor's forehead - a sigh leaving her lips. "Whatever happened to taking it easy, idiot?"

"But it's only just a couple of boxes!" Kyoko whines, just as you see her reach out one hand towards the Officio's now-acting warmaster. Without even pausing, without a hint of hesitation or thought to the other people inside the room, Sayaka immediately takes that hand, lacing her gloved fingers through Kyoko's before bending down to place a kiss on the redhead's forehead. "'Sides, the doctor said I need the calories to jump-start my immune system!"

"...No, you need vitamins, not calories. And sugar is not a vitamin." Sayaka replies, shaking her head, before looking up at both you and Iori with a slightly embarrassed grin. "Sorry, Hanegawa, Iori. I didn't make you two wait too long, did I?"

"No, of course not, Sayaka-san." Iori shakes her head, smiling. You reply to the affirmative as well, and the look that the blue-haired Eversor gives you is clue enough that she's...well, not exactly in the mood to joke around. In fact, you can tell that this tense, curt treatment is the best she can do under the circumstances. The stress of being in such a position coming off of her in palpable waves.

[3/4]
>>
>>41279460

"...Anyway. Hanegawa, can you pick up the boxes and stash them on the table there? I'll have housekeeping take care of it later, but I'd like to have Kyoko have a clean bed to rest in. One that doesn't look like a NEET's bedroom floor, at least." Sayaka nods at you, at the same moment that Kyoko groans in protest. "What?! Sayaka-chan, no! She doesn't need to do that, I can pick them up myself--"

"You're supposed to be resting." Another whap to the head with the empty snack box, and the redhead flinches. "No more snacks, no more games, just focus on getting better. You can watch all the TV you like, but that's it." The blue-haired Warmaster tosses the box to you, before making her way to the door. "I'll be back later, I'm taking Iori-san to see Murderface. Try to behave until then."

"Ngh...alright," Kyoko grumbles, nibbling on the hem of her blanket as Iori makes to follow the departing Magical Girl out. Giving you one last look of gratefulness as she does so.

As the door closes behind the idol, and her footsteps - along with Sayaka's - has receded to silence, it's here that the both of you finally let out a sigh of relief. Kyoko's is a bit more labored, having been in the middle of pulling herself up to a sitting position the moment the other Eversor showed her back.

"Normies." Kyoko shakes her head. "Can't really talk freely with 'em around, can ya? I mean, it's not really any secret about what we are and how we work, but..."

[4/5]
>>
>>41279472

It's a bit of a hassle to deal with them knowing and getting into trouble by interfering, you finish for her. It's also here that you start to pick up the boxes that Kyoko had left all over the place. "Aw, jeez, not you too, Midorin! I told ya, you don't need to do it!"

Acting Warmaster's orders, you remind her with a smile. Besides, you don't want Sayaka getting mad at you anyway. Not with what you're planning.

"...Yeah." Kyoko falls silent here, her one eye pensive. "I...okay, I know we can't really talk about this here, but I just hafta know, and I'm really tired of pulsin'. What's your plan, Midorin? Just give me the...the barebones version of it. I just need to know."

It seems that Kyoko wants to know about your plan. Probably wants to make sure that you have a concrete idea of what to do.

How do you respond?

Ok, anons, I am glad that Kyoko is willing to help us with Chiaki situation, but let´s consider what we are proposing: we are asking her to act at the back and hide important information from her girlfriend (wich means distrust in their relationship), and what´s more, her actual warmaster (wich can be ultimately considered a betrayal to the officio). Also, we are asking her to STEAL to her girlfriend and her warmaster an object as important as her ID card. Imagine what would happen if Sayaka discovers: she would feel bretayed on all levels, and as acting warmaster she should be obliged to punish Kyoko accordingly to her crime (and if we consider that it could be considered betrayal, she could be forced into excuting Kyoko).

Most likely, things will not go that bad if everything is discovered (Kyoko will possibly end up in a Silent Room for a long time instead of excuted), but that doesn´t change the fact that Kyouko and Sayaka will end up in a very bad position. And I am sure that if Kyoko is interrogated, she will say that it was all her plan, saving us in the process. And let´s not forget that Enishi can end in a similar situation.

It´s true that this is the best way to save Chaiki, but man, we are putting so many people on the precipice…

Anyone else that feels a little like shit?

Even though Sayaka has access to the Vault, QB more likely than not has an alarm set for when anyone enters it, since no one except Chiaki and himself should be going in there.
Any time that Vault gets opened when the only person who is cleared to use its contents is in a Silent Room should trigger an alert to QB who will ask Sayaka why she entered the Vault when she can't even touch its contents without getting corrupted.
>>
>>41279757
Good point. Maybe instead of asking Kyouko to steal Sayaka's ID card, we should ask her to convince Sayaka of our plan.
>>
>>41279757
Yes, and?
>>
>>41279721
i don't trust enishi one bit, she has no reason to help us.

as for kyoko, we could use her to convince sayaka to just leave the keycard in her desk. the two of them would then go home and have nothing to do with our sneaking mission.

we should also get misaka in on the plan, she might know about the security and can provide us with tech.
>>
>>41279777
As soon as that gets discovered, Sayaka is going to make her way to Regalia because it'll be obvious what we're doing.
Not to mention, we're setting up Kyouko to damage her relationship with Sayaka.
>>
>>41279774
Bad idea. Syaka is a proffesional (remember when she told Chiaki that she wasn´t ok with putting her in Regalia, but things needed to be done by the book). She is not going to accept Midori plan, and most likely would consider her crazy. Also, she will ask from where Midori has taken that idea, wich can lead to reveal the presence of Manuke and end up causing a shitstorm
>>
>>41279472
Wait, what? She's taking her to see Chiaki?

How could that possibly be taken as a good idea?!
>>
>>41279818
And how exactly are Kyoko to convincew Syaka to leave her ID card on her desk when the obvious thing to do is carrying it with you at all times. Would you leave the keys of your house in, for example, your desk in school? No, and obviously Sayaka is going to be very suspicious
>>
>>41279876
probably enishi pretending to be chiaki
>>
>>41279876
Maybe a calllidus disguised as Chiaki?
>>
>>41279836
Midori has experience with what is happening to Chiaki right now. She saw the same thing in Siberia, and short of going in herself, providing a focus that the Chiaki pysche-fragments can rally around is the solution that Midori came up with. Again, stress that this is what worked in Siberia and past experience.

There is no need to mention Manuke.
>>
>>41279889
sayaka wouldn't directly aid us. but she might be willing to "forget" the keycard somewhere. she could use oerwork as an excuse.

aside from that. could the dolls steal the card or would they be too afraid of sayaka?
>>
>>41279936
What you are saying should be possible if we convince Sayaka to help. >>41279931 has posted a very good response, but I have serious doubts about Syaka accepting to help us
>>
>>41279931
In fact, if we explain that she need items that her psyche can rally around, then Midori should ask for five things:
Golden DEagle
Bottle of Kong
Bottles of painkillers
Chiaki's favorite brand of smokes
Plate of pancakes

This makes the argument seem far more well thought out and plausible.
>>
>>41280041
Chiaki being back to good ol' Murderface when?
>>
>>41280041
Never thought about it. Good point, anon. Still, forget about the pancakes: Mami is in The Moon right now
>>
>>41279959
i doubt that too. but it's the only way in which kyoko can be useful here. i can't see her stealing from sayaka and she is quite useless at sneaking.

telling kyuubey is very dangerous. he can't be trusted until we have clarity on the whole mindwipe thing.
he might accept our reasoning and let us give the gun to chiaki.
but if he was waiting for the mindwipe to fix things he will probably not take that risk. he would then know that, if we were to try something on our own, it would involve the golden weapons and up the security.
>>
>>41279822
So? We'll be long gone before she gets there.
>>
>>41280072
Mami pancakes would have been best, but Midori pancakes would be enough. Chiaki's love of pancakes is well known, so it can be argued that since we want the most recent Chiaki that Midori pancakes will help ensure we don't end up with an older Girl A.
>>
>>41280041
Also the armchair.
>>
>>41280041
>pancakes last on that list

Your priorities, man.

Also midori tits might be better than painkillers.
>>
>>41280129
>Callidus
>outrunning an Eversor
No, its far more likely that Sayaka can brat us to Regalia.
>>
>>41280149
she already has that though
>>
>>41280162
And she'd know that we are going to Regalia, how?
>>
>>41280132
Eh, I dunno. Truthfully, I would think that other people would/should ask why we think the DEagle would help in the first place considering that Chiaki is majorly "ill" and theres no reason to think that just getting her favorite toys would help with her current condition. Certainly not the gun.

I mean OOC we know it probably would help because of the three stooges. Hopefully they would be willing to help fix Chiakis brain (Braids atleast would). And the three stooges would probably have administrator access.

However I don't think Chiaki has ever told Midori about the three stooges, so Midori really has no reason to think the gun will help beyond Manukes word does she? And explaining to say Sayaka or QB "A familiar of a witch told me to do it!" is unlikely to go well. Heck, it really should not go well with Kyoko

Assuming that we have a good, rational and justifiable explanation for why we think the DEagle will help, I could actually see it being possible to convince Sayaka to try it. Do we?
>>
>>41280162
Well, Midori can always cloak herself with illusions. How are you going to chase something that you can't see, smell, touch or hear? What's more, Midori can also create an illusion of herself while cloaked and laugh at Sayaka chasing nothing but air
>>
>>41280191
Alarms from the vault? The incredibly secure vault that it's her specific job to be the only one who can get into?
>>
>>41279721
One correction. We're not asking for Sayaka's ID cart. The GW vault has an access card, that belongs to Chiaki, and which Sayaka currently holds until Chiaki can return to the helm. The card is Chiaki's not Sayaka's.

That said, Sayaka also owes Midori a favor, and also promised to help smuggle stuff to Chiaki, so odds are that she'd be on board with this plan, or at least willing to look the other way if approached right.

So things aren't that bad for Kyouko really.
>>
>>41280231
Again, Midori has seen a similar thing happen in Siberia when the Grief Bomb went off and Chiaki's memories/psyche was fragmented.

And when Midori dived into the Barrier, certain items and places were used by the fragments to help themselves.
Hanegawa's Ramen for a sanctuary.
Weapons that Girl A and Chiaki were fond of using.

These examples to show that what is happening now can likely be helped by using items to focus Chiaki's fragments towards coming together.
>>
>>41280237
Right. And you wouldn't check up on said vault and just let whoever broke into it run off with its contents? You are being incredibly dumb.
>>
>>41280256
One thing is to amuggle a chair, nothing from the other world. But smuggling a golden weapon is another story. And even if we don´t tell her our plan, she will ask for what reason do we need a card that gives you acces to the vault. She don´t mind helping with stupid stuff like the chair, but dubious plans, golden weapons, identity cards and breaking offico rules is an entirely different matter
>>
>>41280312
Eh, I don't think there Siberia situation is really fitting if you don't know about the three stooges ahead of time. At the very least its a major major stretch.

We should really have had Chiaki actually mention them when we had the chance.
>>
>>41280352
What I was trying to get at there is that Sayaka owes Chiaki, and she knows it. Plus, Sayaka's a mega-bitch, but she's not unreasonable, nor is she heartless or an idiot... even she saw how spooked out Kyuubey is, so she likely realized that as he is, he's unlikely to help simply because he's so afraid of what Chiaki's current state might mean.
>>
>>41280405
Well, could be and could not be. You are taking a dangerius gamble here, anon
>>
>>41280428
You know who would have a better idea bout it?

Maybe her girlfriend, who knows her pretty well and has a lot of pull and is friendly to us?

Pretty sure she's going to tell us how she think sayaka will react to this.
>>
>>41280041
Are you sure thats going to summon Chiaki and not planefag?

I mean granted we're using a deagle and not a nambu, but still...
>>
>>41280466
Bingo, that's why it's good to pitch this plan by Kyouko, because whether she can help or not, she can still tell us about how Sayaka will react and stuff.

Though really, by the sounds of it, Sayaka's way too busy and stressed out to really interfere unless we're going to be horribly obvious about it all...

You look around the room before you answer Kyoko's question, your eyes raking the ceiling and its corners - trying to check for surveillance cameras, or anywhere one could be hidden in. You don't find any, but that's hardly a consolation: if someone like Misaka can make a huge sentient robot like Tiny Pete walk around and just be a complete and total juggernaut, she can easily make a small camera the size of a pin, with a thousand megapixels and clear audio capturing quality or something.

Geh, you really should've asked Enishi to teach you that trick she did earlier. Then again, something like that might have taken you too long to learn. And besides, using magic right now might disrupt some of the more delicate equipment in this particular part of the Officio building - that'll just attract unwanted attention. You can't run that risk, not right now.

Heaving a sigh, you turn back to Kyoko and answer her question. That you have a handful of plans - one of which involves acquiring your sempai's Golden Desert Eagle and then getting it to her.

"...And?" Kyoko prompts after a long, awkward silence between the both of you, her one eye wide and staring. "After ya get her that thing, what happens next?"

You look at Kyoko and shake your head. That's...that's it, you tell her. There's nothing else to the plan other than that. You have it on good authority that whatever's happening to Chiaki, it'll stop the moment she gets her gun back, and everything'll be fixed.

The red-haired Eversor looks at you, before crossing her arms, frowning. "...Arright, I realize that I'm not exactly the smartest knife in the drawer here, Midorin, but even I can smell something fishy with that kinda plan." She shakes her head, her long untied mass of red hair swaying with the movement, cascading down her back in rich crimson waves. "Just get the gun to Murderface and that's it? Everything's fixed? Everything's back to the way it was?"

[1/2]
>>
I know I might regret asking this given what I have (recently) found out about her, but is Zero (Drakengard 3) in any of the ordos and what would she most likely be classified as if she was ?
>>
>>41280861

>>41280861

You nod here, feeling more and more uncertain of the plan yourself. But, well, Manuke did tell you about it, and...it didn't really feel that the doll was lying about it. You didn't read deceit in its words, even though as a living doll it was practically unreadable.

No. No, it HAS to work. It makes sense. The Golden Desert Eagle was...it was meant for your sempai. She was meant to wield it to the very end. Somehow, it'll get her back to the way she was, once she gets it again.

"Are we forgettin' that that gun - and the other golden shit she's been collecting - is the reason why she's been going nuts?" Kyoko continues. "And then there's getting into the vault in the first place! And that vault's crazy secure, only Murderface's card can access it, not to mention all the freakin' cameras--"

Well, that was what you were going to ask next, you say, gently cutting her off. If...well, you know it's not right to ask Kyoko of it, but if she ever gets the chance, perhaps she could...recover it from Sayaka somehow?

"..." Kyoko looks at you in complete and utter silence, before looking up to the ceiling. "That's...that's a really tall order, Midorin. I mean...yeah, she's actin' Warmaster an' everything, and I'd do anything for Murderface, but..."

A sigh leaves her lips, hissed through gritted teeth, just as one hand reaches up to cover her one eye once more. "...Okay. Okay, I gotcha. Murderface's access card. I know where Sayaka keeps her important stuff on her, so that'll be relatively easy to lift. Just...gotta make sure to lock the door before I do it." Kyoko's cheeks turn a bright crimson here. "Yeah. Alright. I can do that. Sure. Murderface needs it." She adds in low, quiet tones, as if reminding herself why.

[2/3]
>>
>>41280884

You find yourself smiling here, before blinking and then shaking your head. It's...it's not entirely set in stone, you remind her as quickly as you can. You still have to talk to Wendy to decide on which plan you're going to pull off, after balancing all the pros and cons. If you're lucky, something will happen that will let you not have Kyoko steal from Sayaka. ...You're not that cruel, after all.

"...Yeah, alright. I hope so too." You refrain from smiling at how Kyoko's trying to hide how relieved she is about that news. "But if nothing does happen and we gotta go through with it, just tell me in advance, okay? It's gonna take me one whole day at least to get something like that."

Of course. That's perfectly fair.

"Okay." Kyoko lets out another sigh, before reaching up to rake her fingers through her hair. "Man, you do know that we're going to land in a heap of razor blades and
broken glass, ass first, if we get caught? If it fucks up somehow?"

You're fully aware of that, yes, you nod. But you're hoping that saving your sempai's life - the Warmaster's life- will make that short-term concern insignificant, if not nonconsequential. If they have to haul you off to Officio jail, so be it - but at least you'll die having fought for who you love rather than just sitting idly by and doing nothing.

...Wait. You stop in your tracks as another idea hits you. What about if you got Sayaka into it too, instead of just Kyoko? Yeah, sure, the rapport between your sempai and Sayaka will never be able to top that of your sempai and Kyoko, but...

[3/4]
>>
>>41280906

"Honestly, I dunno." The Eversor shakes her head. "I...I guess I can try talkin her into it, but I'm not really happy with my own chances there. I mean, Sayaka-chan doesn't hate Murderface as much anymore, but she's the kinda person to really be strict against the rules, so..." She shrugs, a helpless look at her face. "Mind, I'm not sayin it's off the table, just...it's gonna take a bit to do that. And if I do that then I can't steal the access card, you know?"

You nod. So it's just one or the other. Fine. You just need to pick when the time comes.

But still, Kyoko shouldn't do anything until you tell her to. Until then, she should just rest easy for now and wait for your call.

In any case, that should be everything you need from her. You bid the Eversor goodbye with a hug, before leaving her to begin the recovery process anew as you leave the sick bay wing.

Now you have to meet up with Wendy, get her updated on what happened and finalize a plan.

You should call her to arrange a meeting.

Where do you want to meet her? It has to be somewhere safe.

The cafeteria has the advantage of the noise, but it also can be too risky (we all know that if you focus in one conversation, even in an enviroment with noise, you can pick details of that conversation). Outside means that we can be followed. In our quarters we have the absolute security that we´re alone

>[X]In your quarters. Nothing like absolute privacy.

Meeting outside is potentially suspicious, especially since people know that we have reason to hate each other. The cafeteria would have been a good idea, however, this one is full of MGs, some of which may or may not be of the Callidus rank, and thus prone to snooping... and again, Wendy and Midori hanging out together might draw attention.

The personal quarters is best, since Wendy is likely skilled enough to get there without anyone noticing, since she's a Callidus herself after all.

You pull out your smartphone. Instead of calling Wendy - and allowing anybody else to overhear you - you instead quickly tap out a text message to her. Telling her to meet somewhere outside the Officio, to regroup and reassess the situation. Come up with a plan. Maybe get lunch too. You direct her to a family restaurant that you've gone to once before. A family restaurant that served western food.

...Come to think of it, you never did get to eat there, did you? Just some tea you barely touched. Because...because of a fan you decided on a whim to meet up with. A fan that you'd been trading emails for a while now. And she seemed really nice, if a bit rough around the edges, when the both of you met. You wonder if she's there now--

You shake your head, jolting yourself back into the present. No, no! There's no time for that at all! You need to focus on your sempai! You immediately send the message, hoping that even without the name of the restaurant Wendy would still be able to tell which family restaurant you meant. After a few moments, you get your answer, in the form of a one-letter reply:

>K.

...

No clarifications, no confirmations, no nothing. Just one single letter, with the rest blank white space.

Right. Fine. That'll do.

Even though it's one of the things you absolutely detest the most, that'll...that'll suffice. You'll stay quiet for now.

If she's not there by the time you arrive though, you're calling her up and screaming at her in full blast.

Who does that? Really, who does that? Not even a complete sentence!

Sempai, how in the world did you meet someone like her again...?

[1/2]
>>
>>41282663

You arrive at the family restaurant easily enough - despite the lunch rush, the elevators weren't as jam-packed and crowded as they usually were, and the crowd streaming in and out of the lobby entrances helped make you blend in. Just to be sure, you threw on a bit of an illusion - anyone looking at your face then would have found your features very slightly blurred, not enough to make them think that there was something fishy going on but just enough to make them want to rub their eyes or blink. By the time they looked again you'd already be long gone.

You cancel the illusion just as you step into the restaurant itself, and true enough, Wendy's there, sitting in the same exact booth that you and Dreamy - the fan you met up with - squeezed into when you decided to get some lunch together. Brooding over what looks like an absolute monster of a burger - literally two small hunks of bread sandwiching a thick, greasy wad of ground beef. The mismatch was so huge that you can't even see the pickles, or the lettuce, or the tomato. Just bread and beef, that's it.

Oh, and of course a tall glass of soda, and what looks like a large platter of greasy fries. That's...well, that's a Western lunch, all right. Strange, though, she hasn't started...?

"Was waiting for you," She grumbles as you finally approach and squeeze into the seat opposite. "Order something, you look like you're about to fucking collapse." The American narrows her copper eyes at you. "Did you even have breakfast to begin with? Or did you just start running around without even so much as a fucking sandwich?"

...It wasn't like you had any choice in the matter, you shoot back. You got woken up because of that...that emergency, and it's been non-stop ever since! This is probably the only time you could actually stop to think about stuff other than what's happening...!

[2/3]

>not bedding Wendy

>>41282630
>Are we seriously talking

No you dumbass. We're being facetious. Do we need to spell it out for you? And would you rather we be talking shit about them instead, like what usually happens?
>>
>>41282677

"Christ. Alright, fine." Wendy gestures to the waitress, who'd coincidentally just finished taking the order of the next table. "She'll have what I'm having. ...Yeah, all of it."

What?! Wait, she can't mean that...! You won't be able to finish even half!

"Then eat whatever you can and we'll leave the leftovers, Christ." Wendy nods at the waitress just as she leaves, probably to bring those orders to reality. "You're not going to do anyone any good if you fuck around with your health, especially at this juncture."

...Urgh. And you were hoping to watch your diet this week, too...

Anyway. No time to cry over...overdone, artery-clogging burgers, now. You have to get your sempai's escape plan figured out as soon as possible. Manuke did reassure you that time wasn't completely of the essence, but something tells you that you shouldn't take too long. Otherwise, you may not have a sempai at all anymore.

So it's while you wait for your food - and Wendy picking off fries one by one from her platter - that you go over the three plans you have so far. The seer, the gun, and the escape. All three have their merits, and all of them have large, glaring obstacles that you no doubt will take some doing to overcome. And as attractive as busting Chiaki out - where do you go next? Who do you turn to?

You also go over the people who have volunteered to assist. Enishi, with her distraction for Heartcatch Squad. Kyoko, with her way into the Golden Vault, either through stealing the keycard in Sayaka's possession, or bringing the Acting Warmaster over to her side. Sayaka, too, with the favor she owes you, but you're a bit hesitant on calling it in so early right after...well, practically blackmailing her for it.

"You managed to squeeze out a favor from MICKEY?" Wendy very nearly spits out the fry she'd been chewing. "That's...wow, that's something else. How the fuck did you manage that, Green?"

[3/4]
>>
>>41282721

>>
>>41282735

Eh? It wasn't really anything special, though, you tell her. Just...you taking advantage of a situation when it called for it. There was this visitor that snuck into the Callidus floor, end--

"...HOld up. A civvie snuck into the Officio? In broad daylight?" Wendy's eyes go wide here. 'Jesus, either somebody that's stupid, or somebody's just that good of a Callidus." A chuckle. "So who is it? Who's the visitor?"

You tell her, and she laughs again. Loud and harsh.

"...Jesus, really? A fucking idol? That's...wow. I thought the fuckin' security in the Ninth was going to be good. Hell, give me some time and we'll probably won't have to rely on so many people just to get Kong out."

You glower at her, before shaking your head. No, she wasn't a Callidus - she didn't feel like one, anyway - so maybe she did sneak off and then got lost along the way. It was just coincidence that you bumped into each other.

"Right." Wendy shakes her head. "Guess you still have to learn about how Callidus really are, but that's fine. We'll figure something out." It's here that your food finally arrives - a clear carbon copy of the meal your fellow Callidus ordered. "Now dig in, just finish what you can.

Now it's your turn to grumble, but you do so anyway, Wendy following suit a moment later. It's...honestly not that bad, that is if you ignore all the grease.

"...So, besides all that, any idea what we're going with?" Wendy asks, having just swallowed a bite of her ridiculous burger. "The plans, I mean. Which one are we gonna go for and leave the rest to scrap?"

...Hm. You're not sure if it's just the indigestion - your stomach rebelling against such unhealthy food - but you can tell that Wendy's hiding something. Or at least waiting for the right moment to say it.

How do you proceed?

Your posts stand out a lot because your writing style is completely different from the norm (one which persists across the entirety of 4chan).
You use a tripcode, even though you have no reason to use one because you have nothing to offer/contribute to MGNQ that requires a verifyable identity across posts, nevermind across entire threads.

You piss people off when you use a tripcode without the reason stated above. There's a reason why 4chan is an anonymous imageboard and not a regular forum.

Try as you might, you can't seem to lift the entire burger to take a bite out of it. It's not that it's too heavy to lift, although it does seem to be sporting some serious heft - but the fact is that it seems to want to fall apart, beef patty and everything, if you ever so much as hold it wrong. So you start eating it piecemeal instead - tearing off chunks of bread and beef with your fingers, pinching them together and then eating them. Sure, you're getting greasy fingers out of the deal, but it's still somewhat tasty and palatable.

What isn't palatable is how Wendy seems to be holding something back, and you know it's not her opinion on how wrongfully you're eating your hamburger that she paid for. So you tell her to spit it out. If it's got anything to do with your sempai's escape, then you want to know about it. You're not going to decide until every option is explored thoroughly.

"...Yeah, yeah." Wendy glowers at you, before taking a long, petulant sip from her soda. A few moments more, and she puts the drink down, the cup hitting the table surface with a tell-tale empty thunk.

"...I know a seer we could use. Think she can get Chiaki out of there without too much of a hassle."

You blink at this. A seer? Does...does she mean Haruka, or Oriko? Because you highly doubt they'd be in a hurry to get your sempai out of there, and--

"No, no, for fuck's sake, listen." The American growls here. "I said it's a seer we can use. That implies they're not fucking useless at their job, not like those two."

...Yuma would have had something to say about that, definitely. But instead of letting loose that remark, you simply urge Wendy to continue. To tell you more about this seer.

The brown-haired Callidus sitting in front of you lets out a sigh, as if she can't believe she's doing this, before speaking once more.

Shit like this makes me sick
>>

"...Old friend of mine, Annie May Springfield." Wendy somewhat stumbles over the name, but after that the rest follows smoothly. "She's been dabbling in occult shit like this since...I guess before I met her. Trained beside her for years. She used to work as one of our in-house exorcists, along with her sister. Former Equerry of the Eighth. ...She, uh...The little doll was talking about somebody that can walk the Akashic Realm, right? That's...kind of her deal. And she's pretty good at what she does."

You blink at this, downing a gulpful of your Diet Coke to wash down the meat you've been forcibly chewing these past few minutes. Someone...who can walk the Akashic Realm? That sounds...well, pretty handy, if a bit crazy.

Also, that's another angle you didn't think about. Exorcism. Granted, you've never seen one in action, but you've heard how it works with...well, complicated cases like these. While you've got no proof, it could be just what your sempai needs. It doesn't involve the Golden Weapons, or being busted out - hell, you can probably package it nice and clean for the Incubator to allow it. Whether if it works or it doesn't, it'll let you have access to your sempai, and that's...sort of good, right?

Just as you open your mouth to ask more about this Annie May, Wendy immediately volunteers. What she says next isn't...well. It isn't what you expected.

"...She's the High Priestess of the Golden Land. Kinda crazy. A little fucked up. She'll probably go along with anything that'll make Pinkbitch Blendermouth happy, though, and I figure getting her favorite little fucktoy back falls under that. Wouldn't be hard to set up a meeting, either."

Did it really? All we learned was that yes, collecting the Golden Weapons like we were planning to do after the immediate missions (Big Shell, Oriko/Ahriman) were finished, is the way to advance the plot.
If not for that, we could have avoided this entire stint in Regalia and instead worked on finding the next Golden Weapon user.

Yes we got new powers, but they have stipulations that if anyone sees us using them then we get our friends killed as well as inviting a complete loss of control.

fat girls

>>41284730
It's kind of a case by case thing. Generally speaking magical girls are so much more active that you really have to overeat to be fat, or just be really unlucky.

It seems to be more common in Callidus, though, probably because they do a lot more sneaking and a lot less running around. Or chubby girls are just more likely to make Callidus wishes.

>>
>>41284854
these are answers I like.
>>
>>41284549
>further misled Chiaki
Misled Chiaki away from what?
All we learned was that Malal wanted us to collect the Golden Weapons without becoming the kind of bitch that would behave like the TTO.
Which is mostly what the players want.
Saying she would have misled us means that she would have misled us towards what we wanted and away from things that won't get us Golden Weapons or letting the TTO take us over.
>>
>>41284912
Venenum probably know too much about the importance of exercise and diet to let themselves get fat, and Vanus are probably fatasses.
>>41284914
Enishi is an elegant lady, she doesn't spill crumbs on her thighs.
>>
>>41284912
We don't see enough of them to say for sure, and most of them have ended up varying levels of quirky mad scientist rather than charming fatty.

This is almost all coincidental anyway. The casters are squishies, and that's the important part.

>>41284968
She probably would if someone offered to lick them off, though.
>>
>>41284968
Wouldn't being fat or out of shape be counter-productive to Callidus work though? I mean, infiltration is just part of the job, and there are always cases when things go to hell no matter how good you are. Shouldn't they have a standard so to speak to ensure their survival when things inevitably go pear shaped or when infiltration is just the first part of the job?
>>
>>41285032
>go pear-shaped

heh

When your body and profession are mostly supported by magic you can basically get away with some extra pounds. You probably won't snag any sexy ab-licking Eversor waifus that way, but turning invisible, for example, or trapping your enemies in an illusion aren't really affected by weight.

I mean, I'd say the girls with nothing else to back it up probably get culled pretty quickly, but it's probably not as big a deal as you'd think.
>>
>>41285126
Debatable then. Having something to fall back on if the magic isn't enough, or ill advised because enemy Callidus support or whatever sounds like a better idea than just saying: I have magic lol, not like being in shape will matter.
>>

The thing is, being chubby does not have to mean not being in shape. Meguca bodies are already heavily enhanced by nature even without a ton of extra effort put into them, and any agent REALLY worth their salt probably A) puts the extra effort in, B) crosstrains for a more varied skillset, or C) is extremely competent re: contingencies and backups.

And I think putting in that kind of work means they deserve that extra snickers bar from the candy machine.

Point.

Different question then. Way back when, Midori implied that her particular branch of illusions rely heavily on people's expectations.

Does that mean that she can get into a fight with an opponent that knows that they're stronger than her, illusion them into thinking they killed her or are killing her, and then proceed to kill or disable them before they can react to the reality of the situation?
>>
>>41285317
Potentially, yes! Midori's ability is actually pretty strong, it's just that she doesn't have as much experience or confidence as other Callidus in the...I suppose weight class she associates with now.

That wasn't a fat joke.
>>
>>41284997
Does Pinky like eating casters more then?
>>
>>41285351
Only when they're trying to bang Homura-chan. And that seems to be something most of them are trying to do to date, so...Yes.
>>
>>41285346
Mhm... that's something us anons will have to keep in mind for this quest.

Still on Midori.

What was she doing while she was off-screen since Siberia all the way to now, aside from the mission with Kyouko and training others of her rank? That wouldn't take all of her time after all.

I mean, she keeps wanting to be useful to Chiaki, and she knows the level of shit Chiaki's involved with. Shouldn't that result in her trying to improve herself or something?

Hahaha!

Decu control aside, wouldn't the answer to that question be relevant seeing as we're actually playing Midori right now? I mean, if there are any changes or anything, shouldn't the players have access to that information to make use of it in the same manner that Midori might?
>>
>>41285592
Yes, because she is controlled by anon.

>>41285595
It's not a question I'm qualified to answer in any depth. That said, 'if there are changes or anything' is sort of the conditional statement there, isn't it?
>>
>>41285592
If anon is in control, then yes. Yes she would.
>>
>>41285691
So, was the plot really advanced by handing over our Soul Gem, or did we essentially get on a boat/still on Planet Namek with this sidequest?

Control the fluffy tails, control the world.

It definitely pushed some things forward by QUITE a lot. Whether that's good, well...we'll see.

Mostly those things seem to be how the Officios will unite to destroy the Ninth, putting all of our friends in the crossfire, and making Pinky take closer notice of our actions.
Oh, and making the TTO aware of usbefore we're ready.
>>
>>41285857
>still on Planet Namek

I'm making it my goal to get a character in-quest to exclaim "Seriously, what the fuck is Namek?" now. I'm just letting you know that I am a failure as a human being.
>>
>>41285908
This quest needs character sheets. I'm not talking about stats, stats would be stupid for anything using PMMM as a base with 40k and many other things added to it. I'm talking about inventory, known abilities, and things like that.

How hard would it be to keep a couple of character sheets on pastebin and update them when relevant?
>>
>>41285248
There's a difference between chubby and fat, but Americans seem to think it starts after a BMI of 30. If you got a gut, you're not fit, you're fat.

And when you're fighting abominations and such, not being able to run will kill you.

Tell that to Decu then, or get someone approved by him to do it. Or you could do it!
>>
>>41286259
>Those are some of the things!
None of which actually advances the plot, just makes things a lot more difficult.

I mean, collecting the GW's actually advances the plot; the things that got advanced are obstacles that are meant to come up once we have the GW's needed to overcome them.
>>
>>41286303
I'm thinking about it, yeah. Probably wouldn't take more than an hour to compile the main cast stuff and maybe throw it up on the wiki or at least into a pastebin file.

>>41286346
Obstacles are also part of the plot.

It wasn't a suicidal choice but it didn't really help as much as it hurt.
>>
>>41286438
>Obstacles are also part of the plot.
>It wasn't a suicidal choice but it didn't really help as much as it hurt.

With the way things are going, anons should really aim for the Wendy/Chiaki/Midori threesome, that way, when Chiaki dies at the end, Wendy and Midori will still have each other.
>>
>>41286438
>but it didn't really help as much as it hurt.
And yet there are still anons who think that it helped more than it fucked us over.
>>
>>41286438
What happened to the whole phone journal thing? Are there any passwords we should try next?
>>
>>41286561
I'm sure it'll come up again.

The first ten entries were unlocked, then another set was revealed.

No one had any time to bother with them over the last 80 threads or so.

Also, people keep forgetting about the REMOV recordings too. Y'know, the ones in the flying skull.
