Last time, on Feral Necromancer Quest: You decided to leave the burial of your friend for later, instead taking revenge on the drow first. You met a roc on the way, who turned out to be a pretty cool bird, but flew off without offering you help. You split the mountain asunder and murdered the drow race. Melandie came quite close to losing her mind, but calmed down in the end. Leaving her with Lathrien and Bathory, you entered the caverns under the mountain. There you found the statue of the god of necromancy. After urinating on the statue the god very nearly killed you, and only quick thinking and clever words saved your life. That is where the nineteenth installment of Feral Necromancer Quest concluded.

The Cast

Vlad Tepish: You, a necromancer, who after being exiled from his tribe, found a ruin belonging to a dead elven necromancer. Armed with ancient knowledge and magic you are on a quest for immortality (among other things)

Bathory: Your lover. Trying to bring her back to life was what lead to your exile in the first place. The process of preserving her spirit was, unbeknownst to you, excruciating, and she hated you for a long time. You have given her an immortal alchemical body. You have repaired your relationship with her, and you love each other dearly.

Lathrien: Your erstwhile hostage, now a friend and an apprentice, Lathrien is an elf and becoming quite a capable Necromancer and Shaman.

Melandie: Elven huntress and berserker. She joined up with your party on her own volition. She has had serious issues with rage management, and her runeblade seems to be affecting her mind.

Housekeeping:

I was very out of it by the end of the last quest and have made the following adjustments to the spells you gained from levelling Necromancy.

False Life: Using 1/2 a unit of undead, you can make your minions appear alive. They are still obviously undead to magical senses, and they do not have a heartbeat. They can breathe on command.
>I added a minor unit limit cost to false life, as I figured that, while I want you to be able to do it when necessary, I think it would be thematically damaging if you could just make your entire army look entirely living at no cost.

Create Blackguard: Using 5 units of undead you can create an intelligent undead creature. The raised creature retains all of its mental faculties, and gains increased physical ability as well as some curious necromantic ability. Furthermore, instead of expending 5 units of undead you can allow the blackguard to retain its own will, instead of being bound to yours. If it should go against your will in the slightest, you must expend 5 units of undead on controlling it, or you lose control over it, and it loses all of its superhuman abilities.

* Drow are dead, should've removed them from the paste.

Your dark duty is done. The drow are no more. You have faced their god, spit in its face and come out, well, if not unharmed then still alive. This has been a good night to be Vlad Tepish. You stand up. You only now notice that you had taken some injuries. That is, aside from your clothes being covered in tears, saliva, urine and, yes, now that you check closer, vomit.

Well, you never thought challenging a god would be painless.

There is likely not much to see in the ruins, though you could explore further. You should probably raise dead up to your maximum too. As always. There is work to be done.

>Rest, go back to your home.
>Loot the bodies, explore every nook and cranny of the drow tunnels. It will probably take another day, but you might get nice stuff.

Man, but you are sore all over. Your headache is mostly gone, but the encounter with the god was grueling to say the least. Maybe you should've asked it for its name.

As you move to exit the caverns to meet up with your party you run into Lathrien.

'Gods, Vlad Tepish, we feared the worst.'
'I did meet some resistance in here.'
'What? Anything to be on the lookout for?'
'A god. It's alright, it will not bother us for now.'
Lathrien just stares at you for a moment.
'Anyways, how long was I out?'
'Er, it has been around four hours since you entered the caverns. I was looking after Melandie, but she's sleeping now.'
'Well, I might just join the camp for now. Lots to be done tomorrow.'

The camp has been set up just outside the range of the stench of death. You keep tripping over dead drow. You raise them, just to keep them out of your way.

>You now control 70/70 units of undead.

'Lathrien, you should have some minions of your own by now. Do it.'

Lathrien focuses, as if readying himself for a painful blow and does so.

>Lathrien controls 20/20 units of undead.

You fall into deep sleep as soon as you reach the campsite. One would think that unconsciousness would have given you some rest, but it appears not. When you awake, the rest of your party are already working around the camp.

Melandie does each task mechanically. Her face looks pale and there are black rings under her eyes.

'We will be looting and exploring this place before we move on. It will take some time, but there are materials I would have here.'

Melandie starts walking towards the carnage, without saying a word.

'Now, we can still have breakfast first, at the least.'

What I would've suggested had we not just killed the mountain itself

>Commune with the Drow nercomancers, learn the names of those they know. Those shall be the harbingers.
>Send Nightmare to those named, with Send Dream afterwards of safety if they come to the path we know of
>Show them the mountain falling down on them, then call element (earthquake) minor tremor
>When those selected come ambush, kill, and raise
>Send back to their dwellings after getting the knowledge of where it is with assorted Totems to spread
>Illusion our self invisible and go to Drow undercity, sit and watch as they do Drow shit, start the ritual with those noted, move to a new place and repeat three more times
>Go home and sleep
>Let chaos reign as they search for the cause and kill themselves in despair
>Call element (Frost) in Undercity, wait half a day, imbue Frost into skellies, install Totem of P. Gaze/Fear into eye sockets, have them rush and Ghost Rider them into submission
>Have Melandie butcher them and Lathrien raise them, install more Totems and repeat
>>
'Melandie,'
She remains silent.
'Melandie, I am talking to you.'
'Yes, Vlad Tepish.'
'Come, let us talk away from the others.'
'Whatever.'

'What the hell happened there.'
'I- I don't know.'
'I see. From my side of things it looked a whole lot like you entered a murderous rage, fueled by your own anger and the magic of the sword.'
'Fuck you.'
'I am not being an ass. It is important to know when something is corrupting your mind. Believe me. I know.'
'Well, fuck, what the fucking fuck am I supposed to do then?'
'Well, trying to understand what's happening to you might be a good start.'
'I'm going fucking nuts ain't I? So what the fuck am I supposed to do about that?'
'Whatever you like. Hell, you could embrace it and travel the land in a red fury, if you wanted to.'
'I don't.'
'Good. I didn't think you did.'
'Vlad, should I even keep the fucking sword?'
'It is your decision. And I am, or course, biased. But I believe that if you can reign it in, bring it under your control, even a dark power can be used to do great things.'
'Whatever. I'll think about it.'
'Good. Just do not do denial. It is foolish and could hurt you. Or me, for that matter.'

The rest of the morning passes in silence. After a while you get to the unpleasant, yet necessary work of looting the bodies. There is a lot of death there. Most of the drow are wearing limited clothing, very little if any armour. What metal they have seems to be stolen from the dwarves. If you can melt it down, it will add significantly to your own stockpiles, however.

>Make undead do all of the work. Relax for the day.
>Join with your undead in exploring the caverns further. You might see something they could miss.
>This is useless crap. Leave early, grabbing only the best goods.

We don't know just how much influence that demons can exert unto the mortal plane, so let's assume the worst.
>>
>>41306331
John Constantine would disagree

21! Blackjack!

You move through the caverns as your minions and allies loot the bodies. There does not seem to be a whole lot there. The main fascinating thing about the indoors here is the clothing of the civilian drow. It appears to be made of a strange fabric, soft to the touch and actually very durable.

You proceed deeper into the caverns. It gets darker. You have a light spell going on at all times, and yet every step you take it gets darker. You focus, sense the magic and dispel it.

You are surrounded by rooms sealed off with iron bars. And within...

Sheesh, that's disgusting. Now that you've noticed them, you hear the chittering and the clacking of the teeth. Half a dozen spiders, the size of horses are bound and caged in the room. You were, in face about to walk straight into one of those cages before you re-doubled your efforts to cast the light spell.

>Nope. You don't need this. Ignore them, move on.

You call in the rest of the party. Lathrien screams. Just a little bit.

No matter, you start planning as to how to bring the spiders back with you. It seems like the safest option would be to simply pick up the cages and carry them. They would be terribly heavy. In fact, from your estimates you could only take all of the spiders, if you completely delegated all of your and Lathrien's minions to carrying them.

>Do it. Have all of your minions carry the cages [6].
>Have half of your minions carry half of the cages[3], the other half to take up as much iron as they can carry.

>You have gained Iron Cages [6] Giant Spiders [6]

>>41306767
Not only is it possible, but due to your Shaman secondary school it will actually be cheaper to raise a giant spider than a human by Shamanism VIII

>>41306855
The cages are actually pretty spacious and VERY heavy, and the spiders are pretty fucking huge themselves.

The days looting over, you break camp once more. In the morning you start a long, cold trek back. You did take enough silk fabric to make clothes for all of your party, but other than that left the place unlooted. If you need it you can come back, but you could also trade with the dwarves for iron.

The journey back is uneventful. You reach your ruin on the dawn of the third day of travel. You have been away for little more than a week.

>Check in with the humans, double-check how your ruin is doing before doing anything else.

That was if the restraining them had won. As it was, most of you voted for picking up the cages. If I was unclear and you all want a re-vote, feel free to do so. The spiders are very much awake and mobile.

>>41306944
You pretty much skinned, gutted and bled the dragon, also you bound its soul. You could make whatever remains you could assemble appear alive, but you could not actually raise it.

You can absolutely use false life and Blackguard together.

You have your minions drop the spider cages off near the ruin, and ride towards the human village. You see that the walls have been built and that the village is safe. Indeed, a few years ago a simple wooden construction such as this one would be one of the most impressive architectural creations within a hundred miles.

You check in with the humans and see that they are relatively warm. It appears that an elven trade caravan has come through while you were away. They are just about as well off as they could be in the weather.

You find their elder. A woman, in her middle age.

'I assume everything is going fine?'
'Aye, mostly good. There are some grumblings, but we get by.'
'Grumblings?'
'Nothing that is of your concern, sir.'

You leave it for now. You walk towards your hold and take out the head of the drow necromantrix you bound. You press your hand to her forehead and talk.

'Mmm. A binding. And so skillfully done. I would have loved to keep you alive as my slave to do as I please with.'
'You seem less than furious about being bound.'
'I just love the craftsmanship. Besides, you have met my god. I did not want to meet it, unless I had to.'
'And yet you served.'
'Yes. I did. And it gave me influence and power you could not dream of.'
'Considering I destroyed your entire race, I think I have power aplenty.'
'If you say so, gorgeous.'

No, I'm Dead.

'So, about those spiders of yours.'
'Oh? You found my babies?'
'Are you implying they will continue to grow?'
'No, no, I simply love their cuddly little bodies. So... rough and stimulating.'

Sheesh

'I see. Is there anything I should know about caring for them, keeping them alive?'
'Oh it's simple enough. Throw a living sentient creature in the cages once every few months, do not keep them in freezing temperatures too long, simple enough.'
'Sentient? Does it have to be?'
'I don't know. I always found it more fun, and my people had always done it that way.'
'Your god. Who is it?'
'We call him Kalashit-Adam, but that's not really a name. I think the elves call him Garuth. He allowed me to use necromancy, and in exchange for worship he did not kill me.'

You think fondly back on telling him to fuck off.

'What else can you tell me of him?'
'Oh not much. So much has been lost in the last millennium. I mostly just performed services for him, sacrifices, that sort of thing.'
'I see. What of your magic?'
'I believe it is much the same as yours. I think you could easily dominate me. In a contest of magic that is, of course. I doubt you could learn much from me. Unless...'
'Unless what?'
'Well, unless I taught you how to properly appease my god.'
'Fuck that.'
'Thought so, handsome.'
'Call me Vlad Tepish. Please.'
'Yes, master Vlad Tepish.'

You sigh.

'Why do you feel so sure of yourself, even in this position?'
'Oh? I have never shown weakness in my life, I thought I probably should not start in death.'

You unceremoniously put the head back into one of your bags.

You have all you need to continue your journey after a quick re-supply and rest. You could depart now, carry the elder on a stretcher, or you could prepare some more for the journey.

Rivers rarely ever freeze over (i live up north and there is a river near by, as long as the river is big enough it won't really freeze over)

So am I to understand that normally necromancy is granted through this "Garuth"s blessing? Or, you know he kills them for not sucking his spirit cock.

And we don't do that. So did we essentially steal magic from a god?
>>
>>41307764
It haven't been really revealed (Unless I wasn't paying attention) But all those who use magic that is connected to a "giant spirit's" (aka "god's") doman, gives power to the spirit in question.
Praise and sacrifices also help.
More user, more prayer, more sacrifice = more power

So yes, more or less.

Unless I interpreted it wrong

Maybe. It's complicated. Vlad doesn't exactly know, but he certainly didn't make any pacts.
>>41307711
He does have the advantage of having a pre-fall library that he can read.

The river might be thematically appropriate, but it could be more dangerous than travel by land. In either case, the trek will take weeks. You decide to make a coffin out of pine, the most common tree in the area. Somehow you think the elder would approve. You set to work, chopping and carving the wood yourself. The result is not ornate, but it is functional. You set four of your undead to carry it and you set out the next morning.

>>
>>41307993
Yea, that's exactly right.

Marginal favour for following the river.

You set out early. Bathory and the elves follow you. After them the undead hordette you command, four of your minions carrying the remains of Varilis, the Elven elder. The air is cold and biting, but getting somewhat warmer. You are all well dressed, having quickly made cloaks out of the spider-silk cloth you found in the caverns. You will be going beyond familiar lands. You will be walking for longer than you have without a break in a very long time. An appropriate gesture for one of the few reasonable people you've met among the tribes.

You send an envoy to the elves from the human village, telling them where you're going and to join you if they wish. You will be waiting for three days before starting the burial.

First few days you travel familiar land. You break camp in comfort and rise with the sun. You enter unknown territory by the third day. It is not actually all that different from where you live. Well, aside from the whole undead tree thing you have going on around your camp.

You meet nobody for a few more days. It is strange, you had almost expected for another new tribe to be within a few days walking distance from you, but no such luck. You chat with your companions.

Melandie seems to have regained much of her composure and liveliness, though she is a little more serious still. Lathrien is learning quite quickly. He is not half the necromancer you are, but he hears spirits as well, if not more readily than you. That is not to say he can interact with them as effectively, he just seems to be more aware of their wishes.

And Bathory... Well, it is all going great. You can almost fool yourself that it is all just like before she first died sometimes. In the evenings, by the fire, she looks just like she did back with your old tribe. You enjoy yourselves almost as much as the elves do.

It takes a week before anything significant occurs. Lathrien stops.

Alucard was not!Dracula long before Hellsing came along, and Castlevania did Alucard as his own entity better than any other media ever has.

It just irks me that people refer to Alucard as a separate entity when the only time he was (that is notable) was in the Castlevania series.

Hellsing's Alucard was also Dracula, he wasn't his own being like referring to them separately implies.

That being said, Dead said we'd be like WoD style Cain or WHFB powerful vampires, so yeah, really fuggen stronk.

'Hm? It all seems silent to me.'
'I mean, the spirits. They are somewhat strange.'
'Strange how?'
'I do not know, Vlad Tepish. More aware. Human, I guess.'
'Indeed?'

You focus your attention. There is something strange about the spirits indeed. You cannot put your finger on it. You can understand what Lathrien means, however. The spirits, well, it feels like you could talk to them. Usually spirits of nature are all but incomprehensible things that you can just about direct, control or fight, but these...

Something clearly is not right.

'Very well. Let us camp early today. I would like to investigate.'

Can be done. You'd have to trust Lathrien with the soul transfer though. Hint: you are really, really good at that shit. In fact, one could say that is your talent. And even then, the first time you tried it you hurt Bathory's soul so bad she nearly never forgave you.

You set up the camp and you start feeling the effects of the enchantment. It is a strange feeling. Everything seems just a little hazy. Just a little more like a dream than it should be. Everything still makes complete sense to you, but then, it does so in dreams too.

You think on the dreams you have been having for the past few weeks. You shiver a little. You've started dreading sleep. It is always the same nightmarish visions. They are merely dreams. You still awake rested. But you need to get that asshole out of your head and as soon as possible.

You set up as many safeguards against possession, mindcontrol and sendings as you can. It never works, but you think you've gotten better at it. And besides, this does not seem like the kind of place you should leave your mind unprotected in.

You go to sleep.

You have nightmares of a dead god.

You wake up before anyone else and you get to work.

24! Some kind of advanced success.

Instantly you feel that this land has indeed been enchanted by a mortal mage. You focus in on that enchantment, trying to look for a source. It is no great surprise to you when you find it within the area of effect of the spell.

You turn your attention to talking to the spirits of the forest.

You hear a spirit of a brook.

'Bubble bubble bubble.'
'Spirit. You are astraly vocalizing the words 'bubble bubble bubble''
'No i am not.'
'And now you have spoken to me directly.'
'Bubble. I guess.'
'How come you speak?'
'It is the lady. She's woken us all up. She is nice.'
'The lady? Tell me more.'
'No. I don't wanna to.'
'Not even for a favour.'
'No. The lady said I shouldn't talk to strangers.'
'Please?'
'Bubble bubble bubble.'
'Spirit?'
'BUBBLE BUBBLE BUBBLE'

You search for others. As you do so, a squirrel come right up to you.

'So I hears you's been askin' for the lady. I reckon you better be leavin' her alone, see?'
'Why?'
'The lady, she don't like no visitors, yea?'

You speak to all nearby spirits.

You stop your meditations. The others wake up soon enough, you break camp and you start walking.

20! Successful willpower check.

A few hours into the trek you notice that you have to focus harder and harder to keep on track. The river is right next to you, but as soon as your mind begins to wander you inexplicably move to the right.

This could be dangerous magic. You should definitely come back here. Or perhaps avoid this place like the plague. It takes most of the day, stopping every fifteen minutes to make sure your party isn't losing their way, until you leave the area of effect of the spell.

As you do so, you look over your shoulder one last time and you see a woman among the trees, older than it seems possible. All of her bones are so bent and crooked it is a wonder she can stand up. Her skin is so loose that you can clearly see her skull under it.

And then you notice that, while somewhat floppy, her ears are pointed. It would appear that this woman is an elf.

'Hello, Vlad Tepish, Bathory, Melandie, Lathrien.'

'Hold on a minute, pardon my rudeness, but are you suggesting you remember when the ancient civilizations fell?'
'Pah, I've been old long enough to get used to it. It ain't rude if it's true. And memory is a strange thing at my age. But yes, I was there. I counted my age in years, not centuries, but I was there.'
'That is... I did not think there was...'
'Oh don't get impressed by how old I've got. Anyone can do it if they wait long enough.'
'And if they are elven.'
'Yes yes. You humans do tend to die just from waiting around, I remember now.'
'While I process that, your magic, it is strange to me. Could you tell me a little about it?'
'Not much to tell. I get inside a brain of someone and I move bits around. Pretty useful, less so if you decide to go into the woods and become a hermit. Would've been dead if my father hadn't insisted on me learning a bit of shamanism.'
'What is your magic called?'
'Enchantment is the proper term, though I don't believe it's quite right anymore. I ain't weaving no webs of deceit, or what have you. I break in and I change things.'
'Sounds... Dangerous.'
'Oh, I'm good enough not to break anyone I don't want to.'

'I see. So, what was it that you told the old mages?'
'Hm? Oh, right. The usual. Not to mess with the fabric of reality. Not to go to war. That a hundred mages could destroy the world. They did that anyways. I was what, twenty? I was talented, but they all had defences in place. Couldn't just break in.'
'Would you teach me your magic?'
'Have a decade to learn?'

'I would take that peaceful night. How about I try to learn the basics of Enchantment while we wait for the eve?'
'Cheeky, aren't you?'
'And while we wait, could you not tell me a little more about the ancient elves?'
'Hmp. Every old person wants to talk about their youth you know? But I was young and careless. I do not truly know much about what was going on, outside the nobility.'
'Indeed? That sounds fascinating.'
'Hah! Proof that you've never met no noble. It's seven parts useless etiquette, two parts pandering and one part war-mongering. I suppose I know what every elf knew back then.'
'Which was?'
'A war was coming. The human mages were stronger than the propaganda suggested. We knew that when one burned the White City to black ash.'
'That is... Serious magic.'
'Pah. You just killed a mountain not a month ago, and you are not even at your peak. The REALLY dangerous mages, well, we all knew end was coming, just not when.'
'None tried for peace.'
'Oh sure, we were always at peace. But we never liked each other, never saw each other as people. So, cities burned, people died, world ended.'
'You don't seem too broken up about it.'
'I've had one thousand, two hundred and seventy three years to get over it. It helps that I bloody well told them.'
'So, about that magic.'

'No offence meant, lady. My mind wanders sometimes.'

You set up camp and go to sleep. As promised, you do not dream that night. You awake refreshed. You had not even noticed how tiresome it had been to see nightmares every time you closed your eyes.

You wake up.

You continue on your journey towards the sea. Melandie is getting better every day. Ever since yesterday she seems to be recovering much of her lost energy. Lathrien is Lathrien as ever. You have to admit, his constant worrying and fear comes in handy on the road. And you and Bathory.... well, you do not know what it is, but to tell the truth it is hard for either of you to wait until you camp. You have not been this close in a long time.

You travel for a few more days until you reach the swamplands. You had heard of the southern swamp, but you had never seen it before. You had imagined a wetter forest, but what you see is all but dead land. There is still beauty in it. You know that death is not all dirges and sobs. It is cold and mostly frozen over.

You proceed cautiously.

What old lady?

No, this is dangerous terrain. Besides, you have a job to do. The frost makes the swamp a little more safe, but you still have the heaviest undead walk on ahead of you. You make good progress, and the swamp seems entirely abandoned. Your progress is slower than it was through the forest and your camps are much more damp than they had been.

On occasion you wonder where your knowledge about the end of the ancient civilizations came from. You suppose you must have read it somewhere.

No matter, in a few days you reach the sea. And it is breathtaking. It is the seaside. There is nothing more to say about it. It has magic of its own.

Who?

You settle down to wait. You have a good line of sight for several miles every direction, so you do not feel that exploration would give you much of use. You do walk about a little, however. Mostly with Bathory.

'Vlad?'
'Yes, love?'
'You were saying that I should be able to have children.'
'I did not know for certain, but I do not see why not.'
'It is just that... We have certainly done everything possible to ensure that a baby comes.'
'Well, it has not been long. Perhaps it is already on the way.'
'Vlad. Perhaps. But what if it is not so?'
'Then we have each other. For all the time.'

You wait for the allotted time. It is still as cold as ever, but it is also serene. Melancholy, yet beautiful.

Finally, on the eve of the third day an elven delegation arrives. There is no more than five of them. But they carry themselves with appropriate gravitas. There is even a banner.

'Vlad Tepish. I am the new elder of the tribe next to you. My name is Amyr.'

It is hard for you to show no emotion at this. He's younger. He's snottier. He certainly does not approve of you. But you have dealt with worse.

'Welcome, Amyr. If no others are coming, we can proceed tonight, at sunset.'
'That would be fine, Vlad Tepish.'

You did not spend all of your time in leisure, of course. You have a boat prepared of pine wood. You have filled it with sand, as per the laws of ancient elves. You light the fires.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CVTv5eX0bLY

'Vlad Tepish, a speech.' Lathrien says.
'Here lies a man that was the best of elf-kind. Here lies a man that was one of the best people. He saw more than any other. I am honoured to have called him a friend. And for his efforts, we, all of us here, have come together as friends.

Hell. I am trying to be a diplomat again.

That is not what this is about.

My friend is dead. I am sad. Let us honour him.'

There are no more words after that. The ceremony is silent. The boat floats towards the sunset, as if guided by an unseen force. It does not sink. It does not catch on anything. It disappears over the horizon.

The utility of a blackguard is kind of meant to be in having free super-powered undead. If someone loyal to you dies. It would be significantly stronger than an alchemical minion. If you spend the five units it's still a decent investment, but not THAT much more significant than 5 skeletons, or, y'know, 20 skeleton wolves. I'm also trying to balance Necromancy with the fact that it gives like three things per level, while most other schools give you nothing.

From the sounds of this we get a zombie that is strong as hell and can also raise zombies( no clue on how many and if it depends on who the zombie was before.)

>>41312353
Oh yeah, forgot about that tiny detail.
>>

>implying that frail old nigga has the influence at this point

Honestly, if he tried some shit we'd just flee to teh desert where Pern has influence.

Sure, we'd get a headache from being a necromancer, but I bet you Pern would fuck up anything that Garuth sends in personally.
>>
>>41312353
actually if you reread that they can't betray us, the second they try to betray us we will (maybe roll and) give up 5 undead slots for them.
>>
>>41312427
About that. Maybe we could let his servant's soul go? Unless we need any specific information from, he is no use to us.
We don't have to be a dick and let him rot there for eternity
>>
>>41312447
Nah, they -can- betray, at which point we either spend points and force them to serve our will, which costs 5, or we say "nah, fuck that" and they lose all their boosted shit and extra power.

As long as we are not an asshole to our blackguards, they are potentially free.
>>
>>41312485
No no, pastebin says if we let them loose they lose their superhuman boost.
>>
>>41312471
>letting that prick Rashim go

Actually, I don't really care, we don't want anything from him, even if it may be useful, drawing the eye of Pern is a bad idea.

I'd back letting him go, even though I think the souls we bind don't go to the normal afterlife.

>>41312513
That is exactly what I just said.
>>
>>41312524
Oh, sorry read it as "they GET lose with all their boosted shit and extra power"

I guess I'm running out of juice

As for the afterlife; we don't really know that. we are just afraid of the prospect, and have no evidence for the opposite
>>
>>41312485
I mean, you are certainly the more powerful person in the relationship, but y'know they would be pretty much in the ideal position to backstab you. Perhaps not ideal to just spam dead enemies as blackguards. It only takes one knife stab, which would be elementary if you surrounded yourself with untrustworthy Blackguards.

Again, it's not a bad idea, but maybe turning straight enemies might have some significant risks. Don't need super-strength and necromancy to kill someone.
>>
>>41312568
To elaborate, it would count as 'defying your orders' only at the point where it started stabbing you. You'd get to react, but certainly with a roll and certainly nothing fancy.
>>
Good session. I always enjoy these!
>>
>>41312568
I was afraid of that. Makes sense tough.
>>
>>41312568
>"Et tu, Brute?"

All we do is have a standing army of volunteers, ask them when they "sign up" so to speak, "Yo, if you go down, you want me to bring you back as a swole ass nigga?" if they say yes, good, wait for them to kick it, if not, ah well.

Can you answer my question if falselife and blackgaurd offer a bonus that gives the zombie peak human capabilities?
>>
>>41312632
I think that the answer was already yes.

>>41312630
This would most certainly work

I know that i was asking if their combination gives a bonus.
The reason for this is because the text last time when they were both the same one said that the zombies would be in the peak of their species strength.
It doesn't still have to do that, but i'm wondering if it at least still give a strength bonus.

Fuck, guys it's 4AM here, I'm supposed to be up at 9 tomorrow and the thread's on page 9 anyways. Had fun running this, as always. See y'all next Saturday at the latest.

There might be quests earlier next week too, follow @DeadQM for announcements.
>>
>>41312786
Thanks for running, been great as always
>>
>>41312772
Erm, it would be the peak of their species either way.
>>
>>41312821
sweet so we don't need blackgaurds to have super strong zombies, with just false life we can make stronger zombies for a bit of the higher price.
>>
>>41312847
Nah, what you need to do is have zombies and skellies with Plague totems go into battle.

That will turn sour VERY quickly for living and magically unprotected armies.
