So, about two weeks late, but life happens occasionally.

Here is Episode two of..

ALPHA LEGIONNAIRE QUEST

For those of you who are joining us for the first time, and those who wish to refresh their memory,
the previous thread is:
http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/41111649/

In Summary, you are a freshly minted Warpsmith of the alpha legion, named Demernon Teliolaris
Your Mission: Infiltrate the Imperial world of Barapadaraso
Your Goal: Cause little C chaos and confuse the enemies of the legion in any way you deem fit!
Additional Directives may be issued occasionally.

Your Abilities:
>Willpower
Never once flinching in battle, nor backing down at the nightly poker game, you stand unbroken, a pillar of will set fast

>Warpsmith
Flash. Steel. Warp-stuff. All are colours in your palette as you craft works unimagined in mortal minds, twisting Imperial, Xenos and dark age Technology together with the power of the warp.

>Primarch Strain
All of the Alpha Legion is closer to their Primarch than other Astartes, and yet your body is closer than most. Where did your Gene-Seed come from?
>Lets you activate PRIMARCH POWER, adding 100 to the roll. Turns failure to success, and success into reality-bending triumph
One use per thread

Assets:

>Mini-Forge
The size of a hand cart, yet able to unfold to a small manufactorium. Useful, if used creatively

>Initiate Squad
Although no Astartes, they are far more than any normal human could deal with. Trained in the Low War favored by your kin, they will be able to aid your designs
Added Loyalty due to your bro-ness

>Underhive Lair
Reclaimed hab-block, now with a power tap connected some levels above to a power source unknown
Contains:
lodgings for you and your men
charging bays for their gear
processors for air,food and water
Mini-Forge deployed

>One scrap bike with mag-lock wheels
>>
>>41426530

Current Issues:

Our Scout Aced his roll (natural 100) to infiltrate a Church. Primarch power was added, now he has a hot date coming up.
Do not allow him to fail the legion

Their is an Church One floor above, the single Staff is being.. Led Astray, shall we say.

Arbite base six floors above yours, no patrols

occasional expeditions by Tech-Priests or Ministorium sent down to underhive. Next one not for several Months (probably)

Access ladder near base to lower floors, bloody smears around it. Probably Harmless.

Magrail to Higher levels non-functional
Current ascencion involves you walking up the wall and laughing at your Initiates as they clabour up supports

Feral Sub-Human Mutant cave near base

Two mostly Human townships with a mutant slave caste
One has an access to higher levels

One town with more sizable mutant populace, less segregation.
Has an unpowered lift to lower down

Last session ended with us in the mutant town in disguise, considering what to do with our spare purifier.

How to play:

Pick an option
Roll d100
Sneaky actions get a small bonus.
Success is base 50, but it's a sliding scale so even a pass may have issues, and a fail may still succeed.

I pick best of first three rolls of the winning vote, PP can be activated post-vote
I check votes every 15 min or so.

All good? Good!
>>
>>41426536
Stripping of your power armour and donning a body Glove, and then a simple Leather Robe, you decide to take your new bike for a spin.
You pack up a purifier, just incase.
As you open up the throttle in the tunnel you cant help but smile, the power output of the engine is significantly more than expected. maybe it's the combustables in the air?

Soon enough you approach the settlement and slow down to avoid being shot on sight.
You cruise up slowly to the gate and spin some solid gold
> Greetings there fine sir! I am Demernon Teliolaris, purveyor of precious products to picky peoples, and am here to see what products your people have that they may be willing to trade!
He seems a bit Confused by the long words you use, but he gets the gist of it and waves you inside, probably figuring you couldnt do too much damage inside.

As you look around the settlement you notice the squalid conditions and general sense of hopelessness, and see that they barely manage to eke out a living in the sewers. They Produce nothing of real value, but have access to some salvage and perhaps most importantly, bodies you could use.
One way or the other.
Given the Premium the marketplace here demands for foods, you are sure your little purifier could fetch loyalty beyond any sa;vage you barter for it.
If a trade option, Roll to see how well you do
>Trade it away for salvage
>Trade it for some minions
>give it for free
>keep it for now
>>

Leaping onto a small raised scrapheap in the middle of the market you call out in a booming voice:

> Greetings, Mutants and Men! I Come before you with a Miracle of Technology!
>THE PURIFIER!
>This handy device, with power, will filter contaminants from the air, soil, water and food that passes through the relevant ports!
>And I will quite Happi-

At that point you notice the market has turned from a bustling trade hub to a stampede of desperate smallfolk, clawing at you to get to a treasure beyond any before displayed in the underhive.

You make good your escape, but lose your purifier and possibly gaining some attention.

>Purifier Lost!

Well, what next?

In town:
>See the leader (what for?)
>Inspect the Lift
>Something else in town

Back at base:
>Get some more Salvage to build something
>Summon a Demon to bind it to something
>Fortify Base (needs Scrap)

89, pretty good!

And remember, Anons, you still are in a bodyglove, you took off your power armour. Just something to keep in mind. (you can ask to put it back on if you want)

After a half day (as best as you can reckon in the lightless underhive) you come back with a fat load of scrap on your bike
>9 scrap units recovered
(for a rough idea, costs of some basics are presented)
>New scrap bike (2)
>Purifier (1)
>Autogun x5 (1)
>Lasgun x5 (2)
>Fortifications (3)

You send half of your initiates into the tunnel with orders to recon the area.
After several hours of mapping, they have located the primary access for the main purifiers in the area, and many more tunnels leading to unknown locales
It does have a small Genestealer problem though, but your Initiates are confident they did not get noticed or tracked back.
>securing and repairing/corrupting will cause large changes to several levels, and will need lots of power to keep running. Will probably draw a lot of attention too.

Interesting funtimes!
Well. It IS a demon.
But, It's a bit clean for nurgle.
>Pink horror summoned.
You shrug and stuff it into the purifier. Better than leaving it cavorting around.

Oh shit dubs!
The Demon does not even struggle as it is crammed inside. Most curious, since normally they struggle and fight against the binding with all their might.
Perhaps a trick from Tzeencth, Price of Lies?

You load up your Purifiers, with the possessed one disguised among the normal ones, and head off to the Mutant town to give them a "Gift", the Fewls!
However as you try to explain to the gate guard you bear a gift he becomes incensed
>The town has been rioting since your last visit, asshat! Get out of here! Your last machine doesn't even work, and probably didn't before it was trod on!

Well, That was a bust. Maybe some covert deployment? Or waiting till they see the benefits of your work and they come crawling to you, begging.

The Next town is more receptive, although it is furthest from your base and seems to have nothing special about it. They say that in return for three purifiers, and their maintenance, they will provide 20 workers to you for as long as the machines operate, although their upkeep shall be your responsibility.

On your return to your base you come to a halt down an ancient alleyway near your base. there is a strange flashing coming from around the corner. Too quiet for lasfire, maybe some kind of fault lighting?

>Your Initiates have installed a flashing neon sign outside your base, declaring it the workshop and residence of "Demernon Teliolaris, Grandmaster of the Resurgent Gear"
Cute

Play it straight, we want a positive reputation before we start throwing demons around.

It'd be better to keep our workforce relatively clean and use the possessed one as a tool of destruction/subversion from within towns we target for destruction.

Chaos influence makes you more chaosy and thus more likely to turn into chaos. Side effects among the common rabble are irrelevant.

Chaos armies (even lost and the damned) generally consist of a a core force, an elite force and rabble.
The elite are in command, the core keeps things running and the rabble are fodder/tarpit.

You give Ecengi the keys to the bike and wink.
>Don't fail the legion, Initiate, and remember...
You grin as you toss him a box
>The Emperor protects, hahaha!

You give him directions to a less wrecked building on this floor you know to have SOME power, and quickly give it a renovation while he picks up his date.
You blitz over the area with some Initiates, shoving everything aside frantically into other rooms, before moving the better furniture into a side room and decorating with the better wrecks. In the back you unwrap your Legion Ration packs, normally considered a fate worse than death, since they are superior to anything local you would find. You pull a small Amasec bottle out of your supplies you has stashed for a special occasion, and with a moments hesitation, fortify it with some industrial Promethium distillate.
Not Enough, with a growl you smash your hand into the warp, forgoing the normal protections in your haste, and drag a demonette out with your free hand before breaking its spine on your knee and wringing its juices into the bottle as well before it fades back into the warp.
Your Initiate is not going to fail tonight!

As you hear a bike pull up outside, you instruct your other initiates to serve him, and sit at a table in the corner, holding a newspaper in front of you (although it does have some unsuspicious eye-holes cut in it), and prepare to spy on your minions date with the local priestess, Xandra Samara

The meal goes well, with him charming her with consummate skill you admit is beyond your ability.
You listen in eagerly, for intel purposes of course, and discover she originally wanted to join the Mechanicus, but her family were against it, being Monodominant Puritans to the core. As they begin on the desert, and start to open the Amasec, she does esquire who the figure is behind the newspaper.
Oops.
With a sudden jolt, you stand up and follow legion deception 101, deny everything, especially unrelated or false things.

>I am most certainly not this young mans Father, and am definitely NOT spying on this date to make sure you do not rip out his heart like the last girl he dated!
>Excuse me while I go elsewhere to do things, away from the young man here who is not my son, although he is admittedly quite attractive, wealthy and has a caring heart damaged by previous relationships.
>That is all! I go now to build all the things!

There, that should confuse her long enough for the amasec to work it's magic.
>>
>>41428542
Cont.
Having embarrassed your Initiate, you set out to make enquiries at the towns for some guards, and you get the following offers

Town 1 (Upper access)
2 Guards for 4 days per scrap unit
Town 2 (current agreement)
two more Purifiers for 10 guards, same upkeep deal
Town 3 (Mutant town)
8 Mutant Guards for 4 days per 3 scrap
20 Mutant Guards for 3 purifiers, with an upkeep deal as well.

All guards come with autoguns and will need purifiers in place at your base to support them

On returning to your base you manage to get a basic firing range set up, nothing fancy though. And it may have some windows behind it, but hey, these autoguns shouldn't be able to pierce them.

Workers pull in 10 scrap units.

Total Scrap: 16

Make the call on which (if any deals to take, roll for making more purifiers if you need em, and then I'll archive and call it a night.
Thanks for playing /tg/entlemen!

towns are hard to get a concrete number on due to squallid conditions, but probably around a thousand in each, give or take a few hundred.

And is that a take her on as an assistant?

>>Excuse me while I go elsewhere to do things, away from the young man here who is not my son, although he is admittedly quite attractive, wealthy and has a caring heart damaged by previous relationships.

>Town 1 (Upper access)
>2 Guards for 4 days per scrap unit
How much is our current stable scrap income? I'd take a third of that in guards.
If
>Workers pull in 10 scrap units.
is correct, I'd take 6 guards.

Install enough support infrastructure to keep everything running, of course.

>Ah, and Xandra Heard your talk of building things and asked her new lover the next afternoon about learning more. An assistant would be useful, but she is still rooted in the Imperial Cult.
Actions/Suggestions?

We are looking to use our technical skills to set up an enterprise down here, selling essential living supplies at affordable prices to the locals. Or so the cover story goes.

Probably get some guards in exchange for more purifiers and probably start making a small stock of 6 or so.

No, she isn't corrupted enough yet.

Well, time to tidy up!

You hire 6 Guards from the first town, install one of your spare purifiers in your hab block and tell Ecengi to give her the run-around until he feels her loyalty shifting.

>Scrap: 13
+7 a day
-3 every 4 days

>20 Workers
>6 Guards
>10 Initiates

>36/40 capacity

>3 spare purifiers
one with resident Pink Horror

>One Bike

>Dodgy Shooting Range
>Basic Barricades

Hmmm. As you plug in the latest purifier, the lights dim momentarily. Looks like you are approaching the safety cut-off for this conduit. Going to need to find another and reroute it or gain access to the generator and re-task more power to your floor.

Good Night, and hope you enjoyed!
