Hey guys, I'm taking a break from Flesh Planet Quest and going back to my roots...oh yes you know what it is...

CIV THREAD BOYS!

Three votes for race, three votes for place.

Minotaur Civ will come back in a month or so, I'm doing some work with the world of it.

post something on the general, also dwarves, coastal mountains
>>

Skaven / subterranean

We shall come from under their cities.
>>
>>41553801
How about a clan of dwarves, exiled due to losing a civil war, resettling themselves in an abandoned ancient dwarf settlement. Complete with lots of space to grow, dilapidated defenses and maybe connected to some kind of underground highway system

Connecting it to vampire civ, eh?
>>
>>41554092
I will not lie, I'm down for undead. Down side is unlike you I've seen a few come and go.
>>
So 2 for undead
2 for dwarves
1 for skaven
>>
>>41554155
Eh not exactly, its similar to my first succesful civ I ran, and I enjoy the nostalgia I get from seeing a dwarf civ, especially one with any kind of similarity at all
>>
>>41554155
Even though all my civs share some similar stuff, such as I usually depict dwarves as clannish and divided, even though they are usually rich/powerful and have at least decent technology
>>
>>41554182
>unlike you I've seen a few come and go.
That's the thing I've seen some die after one thread or in the middle of one. I dunno I kind of have faith in shroom.
>>41554206
How did dwarves get two votes?
>>
>>41554281
Oh I thought shmeh was 2 people since he changed his vote a bit.

Nothing wrong with having faith.

>>41554250

That's cool, what was the first civ about? Have you decided which civ race you'll do next?
>>
>>41554281
By they way you guys should change your vote to dwarves, havent seen a dwarf civ in ages
>>
>>41554206
I vote for short mining men.
>>
>>41554356
What about undead dwarves....
>>
I'll say dorfs/ruins to get this started
>>
shit eating swamp giants , we fight gnomes and halflings to eat their shit
>>
>>41554329
Eh, it was a year or two ago so itll be in the archives, but essentially, they started in an small abandoned underground outpost underground, combined with a group of civilized orcs, built a seafaring empire, killed a dragon and fought a massive multiple thread long war against an empire of bloodmagic casting drow
>>
>>41554092
>ignoring Ghoul and Vampire Civ
Really?
>>
>>41554404
People really love having an orky pirate captain with an eye patch as a civ hero, one of my fondest civ memories for sure

any votes for swamp giants? (turtle animal companion)
>>
>>41554422
>>41554480
Eh I don't really consider vamps a traditional part of the undead civs, since they have a lot of special mechanics and rely on blood to survive
>>
>>41554480
Then say so. Lich Civ.

There are other forms of undead you racist
>>
Rolled 87 (1d100)

>>41554476
From all of us?
>>
>>41554526
I see your point, I still feel that a lich would overpower a vampire and have a control of it since its technically still undead.
>>
>>41554682
Talking about technicalities, I think thats possible, but Vamps vary dramatically in strength and can be very good at mindcontrol, so it could just as easily go the other way

>>
lets try something different
>gnomes
>floating islands
>>
>>41554793
I suppose I agree with that, taking mind control of a creature so powerful would be incredibly difficult unless said vampire was demigod tier strong
>>
>>41554837
Yeah I could vote this (and will). I had fun with a floating islands civ a while ago

Ulog Grindsbairn having lead his clan in rightful challenge to the High King is now forced to watch three of his twelve sons hanged like a common thieves. Gathering those that fought with him in the Great Tavern Push he sets out for the long since abandoned mountain refuge of the first dwarves to walk across these mountain cliffs and valley heathes. With all of the clan carrying heavy hearts in their breast they begin their mountain ascent.
>431 dwarves
>261 Men
>130 Women
>40 Children
>40 canvas covered wagons full of food, supplies, and such.
>80 oxen to pull said wagons
>Enough food for 14 turns
>The men have enough arms for all, mainly being battle axes and shields plus the odd spear
>It is too snowy to rest here on this barren cliff path, we must do something.
>Keep going(roll d100)
>Look around(d20)

The beginning of this civ will be you Oregon Trailing your way up the mountain.

>>
>>41555133
..wait, you're saying Gruul is around demi-god status already, my god what have we done!?>>41555181
Sure, you still haven't answered my question. What tech and skills do we have?
>>
>>41555213
Well not exactly but Elizabeths current power plus his would put us in the right ballpark
>>
>>41555242
Still how many bloody artifacts were there and from a scale from 1 to 10 how will Elizabeth fare against Grull with her current status?
>>
>>41555213
Advanced mining, ad forging, good construction, basic golem work, basic firearms/explosions, basic engineering, farming, basic medicine.
The dwarves of our clan are known for their shield and axe/hammer/ spear combo.
>>
>>41555320
Probably around a 5 as of the end of last thread, they are pretty evenly matched, maybe a slight advantage for elizabeth
>>
>>41555143
you're autistic, faggot. kids was bitching and claiming the same thing even after i disproved him.

So are we agreed then about continuing?

Ulog urges the clan onward.
"My family and friends, we can not rest here! Do you not hear the cries of the dire wolves carried on the snowy filled winds?" He announces standing atop a rock. "We must forge onwards if we are to make it to the home of our forefathers."
Once again the clan pushes forward up the moutain, until they are only a a day's journey away from the keep.
"Ulog, we can't keep up like this much longer; we must rest soon, we have already lost two of the children to the winter's teeth!" Adrik roars over the howling wind.
The clan breaks camp for the night and prepares a fire and food to raise spirit's before making the last stretch of the journey.

While the clan is gathered about with the caravans surrounding them huddled around many fires and their families; hearts and minds being warmed by the fires and comfort that their journey will soon be over.
The wind howls outside the camp...
The snow billows around...
The wind roars outside the camp..
The snow sprints closer...
The claws wrap around one of the caravans and throws it into another one, alarming the entire camp.
At first everyone is afraid to say it...
Then..
"A WENDIGO!" Cries Old Maud.
Then the screams, roars, and blood begins to pour out into the snow-covered land.
When at last the beast is dead it is but morning, and the camp is in mourning as well.
>43 men died
>12 women died
>2 caravans destroyed
> 3 turns of food consumed
With the entire clan's feet filled with lead and sorrow, they continue their climb up the mountain, and when they reach the top they find.

They find the homes, farmsteads, forgeries, and fortress near untouched by time. Even the tapestries detailing dwarven history going back 3000 years are still in workable condition.

Quickly the short folk settle into their new homes and plan for the no doubt hard and challenging winter living up this high.
