Hey guys, sorry for starting late, but I spent all morning in the hospital.

Archive here: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=Eldric+Lightbringer

After being reborn in a world of Swords & Sorcery the likes of which he always dreamt of, a former fa/t g/uy and chemical engineer finds himself trying to organize a pletora of fantasy races and nations to fight a typical incoming invasion from things from the cracks in his new world's reality.

Let me know when you are here, guys

Woops, I'm late, too.
>>
How quickly could we get the Harpy Sister to get levels in Noble, so that we can free them from our Menagerie?
Or should we keep them as pets until people in Albion and at the Academy get more used to seeing them around town?

Hey guys, ready to start?
You know, I was rewriting some stuff I wanted to expand on (mostly lewd scenes) and realized that I'm not sure how to write Eldric 1/2 the time since we usually have him act by popular vote.

He's not a white knight, but I think he's a pretty nice guy, you know? Also, would he be dominant in bed? and what do you think are the othewr characters defining traits?

As a brief joke, I wrote Lyann as a yandere (if you dont know what it is, google it) and.. oh god it was just so hilarious I had to erase it before I liked it too much. Just too funny.

Why noble and not villager? and actually that sounds rather good, having them do stuff around at the academy, but what? wizards by default dont really need messengers. Package deliverers?
>>
>>41852954
At least a few levels in Noble, though they should probably level Villager for the Item Box.

As for around the Academy, I was thinking of having them enrolled as First Years, or having them help out around the Chess Club and in general be gofers (go for tea, take people's lunch orders, fetch snacks).
>>
>>41852954
Maybe have them be handymen, or handyharpies? Whatever. Have them assist whoever needs it with work, or help first year students with dungeon diving etc. If we wanted to clear them out of our menagerie eventually, cause apparently they take up alot of space, it would give them a place to call their own too.
>>
>>41852938
I imagine Eldric as a pragmatist with a heart of gold. Willing to do what it takes even if its not the nicest, having a fair bit of self interest, and not viewing himself as beyond fault or overly good. At the same time, between his second upbringing with his loving family and his morals from his first life I would think he couldn't bring himself to do great wrong except under trying circumstances. However despite his strong caring center eldric is nothing if not mischievous, and his pragmatic side realizes the necessity of less savory things like war and conflict. Definitely a dominant guy in intimate settings I would imagine, though not overly so.

I think that sounds okay. Anyway ready to continue? IIRC we had just got acquainted with count Kaas dyruring a meeting with Okaba and were talking about supply lines, right?

***

"Perhaps we should have some new foodgeons built, or turn old dungeons into foodgeons?" the count asks while consulting some documents about dungeons that are not being regulated by the country
"We would need to gather the court devadasi, and escort them for the duration of the rites, which can take as much as a month in the worst case," says Okaba as he sits back and thinks about how many devadasi the country has.

>It would be better to create new dungeons from scratch. Even if it is more expensive, a convenient location its just too useful

>As a brief joke, I wrote Lyann as a yandere (if you dont know what it is, google it) and.. oh god it was just so hilarious I had to erase it before I liked it too much. Just too funny.
You could always post it as a dream (or nightmare) sequence for Eldric. "Hey man doesn't Lyann seem to attached?" "What no, no way, this is just normal." Then Nightmare!
>>

>It would be better to create new dungeons from scratch. Even if it is more expensive, a convenient location its just too useful
Historically, and even in contemporary nations, the distribution of food is of great importance even compared to the capacity to produce food and often the leading cause of starvation, like in India under the British for example.
>>
>>41853319
>It would be much faster and cheaper to make old dungeons into foodgeons
We could set up teleport platforms to make it easier to get to the foodgeon and back, making the location as convenient as going through a gateway.

It was a series of short scenes, inspired by a phrase from a book on threesomes some lady wrote "There's an odd fascination to seeing my husband worshiped by another woman" and then I thought it maybe was some sort of reverse ego. You know "the man i choose is the best. All these girls just prove me right" or something like that.

Like, she actually scares the fuck away girls that arent AAA+ quality, you know? Eldric just never notices, but basically she is the one choosing which girls can reach him and which ones cant. I was imagining she thinks that it is very unfair that the nice young kid that saved her has to deal with all this awful saving the world business, and that a greater god/spirit asks so much of him, so she wants him to be as happy as possible. That's why she not only indulges him a lot, she also chases off all the girls that don't fit her criteria. I think she probably gets along terribly with Tanis, but since Eldric "caught" her instead of Tanis making a move, she endures it in front of him.

Aritsu? cute and submissive elven princess. Eldric can have a lot of fun with her. Approved
Mako? AAA+ wifehusbandry material, the type of girl she'd want Eldric to be with.

She also probably carries a bit of a inferiority complex for having been a slave in a dirty environment, and having seen a lot of bad stuff. Like "I was a -technical- virgin, but having seen all that I saw, I didn't really think of myself as one" you know?

Totally unrelated but, remember im not a native english speaker. What does the old guy say at the end? I only understand "We'll..." and thats it

"In that case, we'll need to summon the country's devadasi once we have finished choosing locations and digging up the first few floors."
"In our experience, you can also use a tall building," adds Okaba

Right, we did use the Black Spire back at Asmund's home...

"We do have plenty of tall buildings. No, rather, we have many buildings in tall places."
"I don't think we ... your highness cannot be suggesting to use the palaces of government on each city? besides tradition, relocating the government to new buildings would be more expensive than digging new dungeons."
"In that case, we'll need to decide where to place the dig sites. Near the cities or inside the cities themselves?"
"Inside would make it mor covenient," adds Eldric
"We'll need to buy the land, then. And nobody wants a dungeon next door, even if they know the creatures can't come out"
"I will try and look into it myself," Okaba finishes, and the rest of the meeting is more about catching up for the prince and the count.

Once it is over, we are about to head back to the prince's palace, when a mesenger fromhis older brother, Baaka, delivers a message inviting us to dinner with him.

"We just finished a evening-long 'lunch' however," says Okaba. "Eldric, what do you think?"

"Alright, we'll be there in a few minutes, then," Okaba confirms with the messenger and guides us to the palace's eastern gardens. "My brother is... he makes a big ... how do I say this... he's very traditional in all ways, both good and bad. Expect him to look down on you for not being a majin, AND for not flying"
"Alright, I can deal with that. If he's not dumb, though, I assume he can change his mind?"
"Of course. I wouldn't take you to him just to be insulted. I'm hoping he will eventually change his mind after meeting intelligent and capable people outside our race."
"Well, he was supposed to inherit the throne, correct? Isn't he bitter about it?"
"Not especially. But he does disagree with pretty much every change I've proposed so far, and he has many of the nobles on his side. Perhaps it would be better to think of them as the traditionalists faction?"
"Ah... a group of wealthy and powerful people who want things to stay as they are? who would have thought?"

The eastern gardens are a series of platforms carved on a side peak of the palace. Each platform is round and holds the next platform inside itself, with the steps to each higher platform on the opposite side of the last one, forcing those unable to fly to take a series of long detours.

The sight is breath taking, however, as the gardens are right on top of sheer cliffs and one can even see eagles fly under your feet in the distance, with the far away clouds giving the impression of a foamy, slowly flowing sea.

The plants themselves are tropical in nature, with vibrant blues and greens, and it must take a lot of upkeep for them to stay as lush as they are. Thankfully, a new-looking fountain at the very peak slowly bring water down side cannals for the plants, before cascading into the fliffs below.

Since the fountain is a new addition, it must have taken the servants a lot of work to carry water up here in the past.

Okaba's brother, Baaka, is standing in the centermost platform, wearing a pair of black and white pants with a complicated design. On his shoulders, he has a short "jacket" that covers only his neck, shoulders, and the upper part of his back, which seems to fit since it is obviously designed with his wings in mind.

He is roughly the exact same height as Okaba, albeit a bit more solidly built. It looks like he's the type of person that needs to be careful with his diet, or "solidly built" will easily transform into "overweight". His hair is white and worn long, which makes quite a contrast with his dark skin and wings.

There are two succubus with him, wearing what looks like dancing silks. One is soft red with pinkish hair, and the other is completely white but by her black hair. Theor bodies are only 'accidentally' covered, and showcase large collections of jewelry not just in gold, but in whatever materials would better stand out against their bodies, showing that they were made especifically for them, rather than collected or bought over time.

...there is a crystal chessboard atop a small table, and it looks as if the First Prince was playing against his succubus.

"Brother!" he stands up with a smile and walks over to hold his brother's hands, then hugs him, "this 'chess' you brought back is a lot of fun, but this move where the king and rook trade places, it seems a bit like something a child came out with not to lose."
"Ah, you'll have to take that to the creator of it..." -he gestures towards us

"Oh... speaking of? Oh! so this is the pedestrian you told us so much about?" the first prince has no issue with the word, nor does he seem the least bit regretful about it. Well, he's technically correct, by dictionary definition, I guess?

He lets go of Okaba and looks at us, then offers us his hand.

"Nice meeting you. We don't have much use for our brother's books and laboratories, but we can appreciate a wargame such as this. We are Baaka Onkabu, nice meeting you"
"It is an honor to meet you, your highness."
"Uhmm... our interest goes towards asking for a game, but we are not sure if we could keep our pride unbruised after playing with the game's inventor. Oh, but would you accept to play against our succubus? that way we could hide behind their beautiful faces when recalling this later."

>Sure, I don't mind

"Ah, allow me to introduce them. These are Zenith and Twilight."

The succubus look at us and nod with a smile. It just occurrs to us that noone on this platform has asked our name, but we are probably meant to introduce ourselves, right?

"Eldric Lightbringer. It is a pleasure to meet you ladies," then we add, "I can't help but notice, Aura, Dawn, Zenith, Twilight... are all succubus names related to the sun in some way?"
"Many are also based around the moons." Says Zenith, the pink one, "But many more are also based on the stars and other heavenly bodies."
"It is nice meeting you, young sir." says the snow-colored succubus, Twilight

Baaka gestures us to the empty seat, and stands behind the girls.

"Could you continue from where the board is at, right now?" -it looks like both sides were just a few moves from check. "It was our turn, anyway"

"Ah!" -the girls seem excited for some reason, then they take their turnS

Zenith moves, then Twilight moves, and you are one move from check.

"Wait, what...?"
"Well, of course, theyre's two of them. It wouldn't be fair unless they each got a move, right?"

So, the first prince was basically playing one turn, and then letting his succubus have two turns in a row before his next turn? A part of me wants to screa, "Chess is not a multiplayer game!" but on the other hand, it is a novel idea, and you have to respect a guy who can play with a handicap like THAT.

>Explain that chess doesn't work like that

Uhmm... I think worrying about any nudity is a bit exaggerated, but I COULD agree on the panties being suggestive. Still, that's just slightly lewd, not really porn.

And yeah, I'm thinking that while giving them two turns SEEMS too strong, if they aren't consulting eachother before each move, it can work against them, unless they are REALLY used to working as a team and/or can mind read each other. If they do, I think its notable that someone could play under such disadvantage

>>Wait, they didn't consult with each other before moving. It's like a two headed giant, where one head doesn't knows what the other is thinking about. Their consecutive turns could work against them if we play it right.

For now, we focus on salvaging the situation. We block their check, and see what they do.

After a few moves, it looks like Zenith, the pink-colored one, is really aggressive, which gets in the way of Twilight's planning, but it is still quite hard to play against two turns in a row.

Thankfully, Zenith's hunger for pieces helps make holes in their defense that Twilight has to fill in afterwards, but progress is still quite slow.

In a sense, Zenith is much like playing against a computer. She always goes for the obvious best choice.

Honestly, Twilight is much more dangerous, if not because of her long term planning, because she's also able to keep calm while her counterpart keeps blowing up her plans, and then coming up with a new plan instantly and without skipping a breath. As soon as Zenith moves, she moves, and then its our turn.

In the end, we manage to win, somehow.

"Thank you for your time," says Zenith while very politely bowing for a moment
"Thank you for your time," says Twilight with just a nod of the head.

Baaka smiles a little as he caresses the top of the girl's heads, and warns them about discipline to come. Both girls seem to tense, but only for a moment, before sighing (in Twilight's case) and 'Eeeping' (in Zenith's case), then saying "Yes, master."

The succubus look at us for a moment, then they turn towards their prince in a hurry.

Did we ever give Miel access to our teleport technology, so that she could have better communication with her Empire?
Did we buy her rock-it ships to turn into Hives, so that they can lift-off and escape if they encounter an [ERROR]?
What about buying more land around our parents' house in Albion so that the seat of the Miel Hegemony can expand?
Shouldn't we begin considering buying a mansion of our own, and having Miel join us, having her chambers connected to our bedroom?
