A Forest: Somewhere full of nature and such, potentially implying that there is no civilization or we are just far away from it. No information regarding such things until we meet it, animals might be encountered.

City: Is it evacuated? Empty? Did everyone dissappear? Or is it just full of life as usual and people would freak out? Eitherway, things would be harder but we would know what we are up against.

Moon: A desolate place, empty... And yet, no competition and plenty of freedom, time. We can wait and dig in. Or maybe there is space colony there or such?

Room: Is it a facility? Is it empty? Are people around? Did you work here or not? What happened?

Write In: Could be different planets, asteroids, stuff

Depends on the medium. Lungs are more efficient in beings where the blood supply is restricted to transport highways like veins and arteries but in simpler organics where the musculature is bathed in blood/bloodless, this is better.

For lungs to be useful we'd have to develop an entire capillary system, and as we expanded we'd have to expand the capillary system and grow more lungs fairly often to continue to supply our musculature with oxygen. Not to mention if part of us got cut off from a set of lungs it would die.

You thought of how your desire for eyes created the eye and kept it going as you rested. So perhaps creating something capable of movement might be possible. At least, that is what you thought. You had no idea what the rules for this were, yet.

Time passed, and with it, you finished your work. However, you did feel what amounted to a small trickle, filling up the pool of usable matter. It seemed the walls and floor you covered were broken and digested, bit by bit. There was some asbestos and fungus, but it was still not the best source.

After some thought, you named your creation Runts, for that is what they are. And with another thought, you sent them out. Two went towards the roof, two more started searching throughout the building you were in, while two others went outside, keeping to shadows.

In the building, there was not much else, besides a rat infestation that your creatures dealt with, bringing the corpses to the flesh-tub, letting them dissolve. Yet you studied them a bit longer. The information they provided... You were sure you could replicate the fur and tails they had, if you wanted to. And that was good.

Runts on the roof did not find much, yet you got a better look at your neighborhood. Right now, it was night. And as you saw before, there were some buildings in okay condition, and you could see some people were still up due to the lights being on in the windows, while others seemed to either be empty, or their occupants were asleep. It was not quite slums, just a shitty place.

The Runts you sent just outside your building, however, started digging through trashcans and managed to find a little bit stuff to fuel your life, not yet bringing it into the building but just carrying it. As they ventured slightly out of the alley, they could see a person slumped near a wall of nearby building. The silence was split by a nasty coughing fit from a person, before he hugged himself, letting his dirty blanket cover him a bit more. There were some cats around, but they seemed ready to run away at your creature's approach.

At some point, as you were fiddling with them, you had the mental equivalent of a sneeze, your work being disrupted as it happened. The vocal cords rearranged themselves due to it and you groaned in frustration, but let the Runt out of the Fleshtub, to see what happened.

You made a note of this one and worked on others. Soon, you had all six of your Runts speak in that beautiful voice. If you desired so, they could sing acapella in that voice. Oh, and they also had a wide range of tone, possibly mimicing other sounds. But still, Morgan Freeman tho.
