As discussed in the Flesh Civilization Quest thread, I'm creating something similar to act as a companion quest series. Maybe the two will intersect at some point.
Everything is black. You've been asleep for a long while, waiting. Hurtling through space, aboard a chunk of stone. Bland, boring, unappetizing stone. You drift back to sleep.

Not long after, to you at least, you feel the gravity of a celestial body. This new feeling wakes you up, it's close. Very close. It gives off so many different signals, so many different forms of radiation. It's sheathed in a thick band of high energy electromagnetic radiation, with pinpoints and hiccups of higher and lower frequencies of electromagnetic radiation coming from the surface.

You've been caught in it's gravitational pull. You're hopeful, it's been eons since you've been on anything but this boring rock. The thought of what awaits on the surface fills you with an almost all consuming hunger.

Where does the meteor strike earth?

The heat. So much heat. This planet has atmosphere, and a lot of it. You tremble as the meteor you're within plummets through the atmosphere, heating up and burning as it falls. The heat invigorates you, you've never felt so alive in your life. You've always been cold, never hot. You like hot, it's... perfect.

As the meteorite plunges closer to the surface of this world, you exert some of the wonderful new energy you have from the heat to grow a small sensory appendage. You didn't know there was another world, you want to see it.

Water. Vast, open expanses of water. Your metaphorical heart sinks. Water is cold, water is lifeless, you've never been good with water. You brace yourself, pulling your new appendage back into the meteorite as it hits the surface of the water and sinks. The water is deep, very deep, and oh so cold. The further down you go, the colder it gets. You consign yourself to death until the meteorite settles at the bottom and you feel a blast of heat again. You peek out and can barely make out a strange crack in the stone at the bottom of this expanse of water, glowing and emitting a lot of trapped gasses and thick vapor. You need to get closer to it, you know this much. Heat gives you life, and that source will be your saving grace.

The meteorite splits open, with some help from you, and you ooze out into the water. Almost a sludge, thick and black. You don't know what you are, all you know is you've existed for as long as the universe has. You make your way to the vent and latch onto a rock nearby. You look around and notice all manner of strange and twisted life living around this fissure. Living stone and misshapen creatures.

You decide that the strange living stones are the best target for now, and sweep over them. They grow in a large cluster surrounding the vent, which spews superheated water and a dark black cloud into the surrounding otherwise frigid water. You find the opening to several of the living stones, odd tube shaped constructs with creatures embedded within them, and force yourself into them. The creature, too simple or too scared to know how to react, does nothing but retract further into itself as you touch it. Wherever you do touch it, it turns dark, and you shudder with the pleasure of destroying life and re-purposing it to be a part of yourself.

You see no reason to leave the homes empty, they afford a decent level of protection, so you inhabit them. You spread yourself across a small area, and as you take over more and more of these creatures, which you've decided to call "Tube Stone", you grow stronger. Their biology is simple, but unique. You realize that they do not have a mouth or guts, they do not eat, but instead subside on bacteria that was within them. This is unacceptable to you, so you analyze what you've absorbed and find a very, very useful piece of information. You've heard of it before, on a world you once infested. "Chemosynthesis". You thought you had forgotten that, but no, you remember now. It's simple, and there's so much inorganic material in the water near these vents for you to convert. No wonder these creatures lived here.

You pause, and ponder your next move. What should you do?

[A]: Focus on Chemosynthesis and filtering out the minerals and nutrients from the black smoker.
[B]: Attempt to infest some of the faster moving local fauna

Action Theme: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lFH_sLohbRQ

As you think and weigh your options, you start piecing together a plan. With this reawakened knowledge of Chemosynthesis you can turn the vast amounts of carbon and methane being released from the black smoker into energy, nutrients, and mass. A plan is hatched, and you think yourself quite the devilishly handsome genius as you put it into action.

You infect more of the Tube Stone around the vent, as well as the other oddly shaped living rocks, which you decide to call as a whole "Feed Stone", and use it to create a base for yourself. It's been a long time since you've made a seed, but you remember how. It's not something you forget, although you prefer the visceral pleasure of corrupting a sentient lifeform to make it.

Slowly and deliberately, you absorb more mass around you from the cyanobacteria mat coating the seafloor and grow up and around the vent's stack until you get to the top opening. You prepare yourself, then cap the top with a feeder construct. You shudder with glee as you start to filter the scorching hot, mineral rich water flowing from the vent. Some of it must be expelled, you're not strong enough to process it at the rate the planet is dispensing it, but it's more than enough. You grow new organs within your mass, embedding yourself around the vent as you churn and undulate, growing rapidly as you strip the minerals from the vent and turn them into mass. It's not as easy or pleasurable as corrupting sentience, but it's efficient and the vast amount of heat helps considerably.

It's not long until you've formed a complete seed. Above the vent and surrounding it is a large, veined, undulating mass of yourself. Less material is expelled as you get better at processing it, and you're filled with vigor and energy you haven't felt in millenia.

You could launch the seed now, it would need to breach the surface and find land but that shouldn't be hard. This isn't a conducive atmosphere for a new seed.

Averaging these three because some faggot thought he could roll all 3 by himself.

C wins.

You decide against launching the seed. You can tell the vent field is fairly large, this whole area must be very close to this planet's molten core, and you think it would be wasteful to not take advantage of the resources this planet is so willingly offering up to you.

With renewed vigor, you begin spreading out along the seafloor. You grow a hydraulic system within yourself to pump the hot water from the vent throughout your body as you expand, and you move to cap more and more vents, constructing additional pylons.

After several days, you've covered what you are certain is this entire hydrothermal vent field. Your size is several thousand times more than what it was when you started, and you cover a roughly five square kilometer portion of the seafloor almost entirely.

Above the seafloor and the smokers, supported from struts of your self, hardened with an outer shell made of a condensed carbon lattice, you've formed a platform that sways in the current of the ocean. It extends almost two kilometers towards the surface, and you can detect sunlight! At this depth, there is much more and larger life swimming around you. You notice exceptionally large creatures swimming around slowly, calling out through the water with long, low, mournful tones. Other bodies seem to be composed of hundreds, or thousands, of smaller fish who seem to swim together instinctively. None of them have taken notice of you, yet.

>The A's have it

You decide you want, no, NEED, some of the creatures here. You've been surviving on chemical conversion but you need to consume something.

You shift and change your form, branching out and creating many large and small mouth-like appendages. You open them up, the insides lined with thousands of small sharp organically grown carbon teeth, and in each one you create a pheromone organ, emitting an irresistible smell into the water for all organic life.

It isn't long before a pod of three whales begin to investigate. They inch closer, unsure of what you are, knowing you're not quite right, but drawn inexorably closer to your bait. The pod shifts and each whale goes to a different trap. When all three are within your grasp, you close the traps with a level of speed unexpected from such large constructs, and the whales cry out in deafening agony as you sink your teeth into them, immediately pumping them full of your self, corrupting them as you absorb them from the inside out. You take some of their organs, their stomach, liver, intestines, kidney, colon, bladder, reproductive organs, and melon. Absorbing those, you replace them with constructs only you know the names of, large, undulating alien growths attaching to the tissues of the whale. After a few hours, you release the three sperm whales you caught and they float lifelessly in front of you in a triangle.

Then it hits you. A spark, a flicker, and then an explosion. Your consciousness expands and you can feel every part of you that broke off on the sea floor, and you can control it. You're acutely aware of everything going on within a kilometer of any of your parts at any given time, and feel one of your traps engage on a school of fish.

It's not long until those are converted too. The fish and the whales appear lifeless, although they follow every command you give, puppets to your whim.

Hex had some irl shit go down. Think you missed the last thread. Gobbos are gone gnomes assimilated and elves are outside our walls in their thousands.

He said he will be back should be gone for a couple more days at most I think
>>
Goodnight. Voting for the stealthiest option next update (what is considered stealthiest is purely for the QM to decide).
>>
Decision Theme: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ZlRwF16dks

You decide to use the schooling fish to try and subtly infect the higher species on this planet. They're an interesting appearing fish, with many small triangular fins running down along the back and underside from the dorsal fins to the tail, many of them are fairly large as well. You keep a few dozen back, keeping them hanging around the whales, as you send the vast majority, several hundred fish, out to sea.

As the fish swim around, you're able to ping your consciousness off of them to see further and further out. After about a week, you feel the telltale arrogance of sentient life and, upon further investigation, find that you've lucked upon a fishing trawler. You mimic the behavior of the fish you're controlling, and allow them to be caught. You feel nothing as the fish are suffocated, gutted, packed with ice, and preserved in the hold. You remain.

By the time these fish reach the cannery, you've already replicated this with several dozen schools of fish, and over the course of a month, tuna laden with spores of yourself are put up on the shelves at grocery stores all over the nation.

One day, you feel it. Worry, doubt, love. You hear the voice of a young girl.

"Daddy, are you sure the other girls will like me at my new school?"

'Of course, honey' this being replies. David, you realize. He snuck a few morsels of tuna as he was making his daughter a tunafish sandwich for lunch. What a monster. You peek through his eyes, he's standing at a kitchen counter with a knife in his hand and freshly sliced bread on a cutting board, looking down at a smaller bipedal creature with light yellow hair and blue eyes. Skin the color of cream, wearing a colorful dress with a backpack in the shape of a cartoony quadrupedal animal with pointed ears. Melissa, you find her name in David's mind. You worm your way deeper and assume control.

Jesus Christ, that A option.

B

No reason to get our first infected fellow caught and examined immediately. Plus, she may not even like the tuna. Could trade it at school and spread our influence to and even more diverse range of humans.

I'm really disappointed no one wants to stab Melissa. I even put her in a hello kitty backpack.
>>
Let's do A.
>>
>>41924043
>[B] Finish making her tuna fish sandwich and send her off to 'school'
Once it's time for lunch we'll have her share with her friends.
>>
>>41924179
Sorry to disappoint you OP.
>>
>>41924179

I mean, I know we're going to unite all of humanity beneath the glorious banner of our meaty curtains, but god damn man. That shit is savage.

No judgment, hell of a lot of respect, but I can't be the only one feeling even remotely skeeved out by that shit.

/tg/ is known for murderhoboing, at the best and worst opportunities, but rarely on just a whim.
>>
>>41924088
Changing to A.
>>
>>41924179
Later, when we have more control.

We can send entire legions of infected city people to turn on their non-infected brethren.
>>
>>41924179
We have several people.
And now me, since I vote A.
>>
>>41924179
But this way we have more infected. She's more useful alive than dead. Vectors, OP, vectors.
>>
>>41924021
>A
>:^D
>>
>>41924264

Looks like we're going to be indulging a slight snuff fetish instead.

I'm not in favor, but we have plenty of other vectors. We just infected an entire country's supply of fresh seafood, Melissa's dad is merely the first of countless others to come under our possession.
>>
B seems to be the best bet for spreading ourselves, so I'll vote for that. We can stab people later
>>
So I'm a bit confused, are we some kind of space fungus with mind control powers?
>>
>Samefaggotry
>>
>>41924419
When the OP says he'd prefer something, people will suck up and vote for it.
>>
Let's do A for shit and giggles.
>>
>>41924306
well, we've already infected very large number of infected with the fish, we could conceivably get away with a single random killing. as long as the other vectors avoid doing the same. though it is such a waste, schools are a great place to spread disease, just encourage sharing.

You withdraw a little and allow David to finish making his daughter's lunch. He sends her off to school and you set in to examine him more thoroughly as you wait for Melissa and countless others to become infected with you.

As you examine and inspect David's musculature and bone system, you slowly string parts of yourself through him, consuming the fat in his body and that one oddly shaped mass that was growing on his brain. As you consume that particular mass, you hear him comment to himself that it's nice that the migraine he's had for the past four months has finally gone away.

He finishes getting ready and heads off to "work", which you discover after combing through his mind is an actor at Disney World.

[A]: Assume direct control and plow David's car into a fuel tanker on Westbound I-4
[B]: Allow David to go to work and attempt to subtly infect patrons at the park
[C]: Allow David to go to work, then assume direct control and forcibly begin infecting patrons

D: We do a Dylan Roof and shoot up the park.

No, he's about to deliver a scene wherein a loving father goes on a most inspired rampage, then explodes in a cacophony of spores, infecting all those around him.

Paranoia will reign as we activate each of these new "sleeper agents" on a whim, causing previously stable and productive people to an hero in the most destructive and ridiculous way possible.

I absolutely cannot wait.

And, before the explosion destroys his brain we find out, that his wife is dead, buried 1 year prior when the driver of a fuel truck fell asleep at the wheel.

Ok looks like "Mad Max: Florida Interstate 4" option is winning now.

Seriously though guys how does archiving work on /tg/? Is it automatic like on other boards or no?

Okay so, archiving this thread now. I will return tomorrow night around 10:45pm EST to continue it for a few hours.

Option "Mad Max Florida" won, so the OP of tomorrow's thread will be ultraviolent.
