Nysela groans and delicately, reluctantly, lets go of the large, square carved golden panel, handing it to you. She struggles a moment as you wrestle it out of her hands by force, but eventually you are once more in possession of it."Well." She straightens her hair, combing it back with a swipe of her right hand, trying to look dignified once more. It's not hard for her. "I've delivered the message I came to deliver. Time for me to go now." She glances around herself at the wrecked ruins of the castle. "Have fun rebuilding." "I need to know one thing." You stop her before she leaves. "You said I destroyed a Deathlord earlier. The Silver Prince... The Bodhisattva Anointed by Dark Water. Is he really dead? For good?"She gives you a pitiful look. "I was talking about the Tyrant.""...Oh." You mumble."Taru-Han, the Shogun of the Department of Abstract Matters, confirmed to the Unconquered Sun that her soul has returned to the cycle of reincarnation. She has been put through Lethe.""...Do you know anything about the Bodhisattva, then?"She turns her back to you. "...If the Light of Judgement annihilated him completely, then of course his soul wouldn't return to the cycle. It would be consigned to Oblivion, and then only the Neverborn would know of his fate. And if his death wasn't final, and he was destined to return... then, even in this case, only the Neverborn would know." She vanishes in front of your eyes, dematerializing. "Still... twelve Deathlords isn't as threatening as thirteen.""Eleven would be even better." You reply."We can't all have what we want, all the time. Not even the gods or the Exalted can."And with that, she leaves you.(cont.)

The situation is... messy, overall. You're just starting to cope with it right now.Over the course of the day, work crews of soldiers and citizens remove rubble and try to locate the missing, patch up the wounded, and put the dead to rest. You do your part.Come morning of the day after, you finally manage to have something resembling normalcy. The population has been moved in tents, refuges or the still-intact buildings across the town, or the villages in the countryside, still intact. That's when you can stop considering Tianna in a state of emergency anymore, and call for a much-needed general meeting of your Circle, or at least the part of it you can reach, here in Tianna City..One of the few still-intact rooms in the ruins of the castle has been cleaned and filled with the bare essentials: a cracked table, mismatched chairs and stools. Officers bringing in reports from the various part of town and beyond. And in the morning Zaan flew in from Pearl with news from the other side of the island. You take a look around. No one is unwounded, though some have it worse than others. Mikahil is in a wheelchair pushed around by Five Tails, and you give him an apologetic look, feeling bad for what you had no other choice but to do. Valeriana seems fine physically, but has the looks of someone about to collapse from stress or exhaustion any minute now. (cont.)
Tia, despite her healing factor, is covered in scrapes and bruises, as well as dust, probably from her recent work as part of the rescue crews. You still see the scar where her arm was ripped off. She must've just stuck it back on the stump and it's still in the process of knitting itself. The wound, open, wet and porous, is filled with dust and loose debris sticking to the insides in a way that makes you want to cringe. Regeneration or not, immune to infections or not, that just looks... errrrgh.Talon seems mostly fine, though he clearly still has the scars from all the arrows he took. You guess that will take a while to heal even for a huge guy such as him.Moray Darktide is as badly messed up as Mikahil, maybe worse. He's in a wheelchair as well, covered in bandages, with a collar, and most of his skin burned off. He looks like he must have both arms and both legs broken. Regis has taken to himself to push him around as needed.Amata still has the wounds from the battle, some of which bandaged, plus Valeriana's same look of exhaustion. Everyone's giving her odd looks. You guess she must've explained her deal to the others, too. Hard not to after what they saw.Sitting at the far end of the table, nibbling on a large seabass he must've brought with him and which must've been still alive and swimming up to a few minutes ago by the looks of it, Zaan has his fair share of scratches and bruises too.
>>41930843Man this comes perfectly
Awful lot of chatter going on. You imagine everyone has a lot to say. To boast or to complain or simply opinions to share. Tia and Amata are the only exceptions. The former just stands to your side, silent, with her hard-to-read expression on. The latter is on the receiving end of a barrage of questions she's busily dodging as skillfully as ever.>Let's start by talking about the battle we just faced.>I want to know how the things are in Pearl.>We need to talk about Flame and the Titan, and what to do with them.>We need to talk about Tyrant's abyssals, and what to do with them.>We need to decide on our next course of action.

"...Zaan? How are things going in Pearl?"It's not an official sort of meeting. The conversations in the background slow down because more people pay attention, but don't stop entirely."Well, not as bad as here at least. I mean, lots of structural damage, but Golden Reach's still intact." He replies. "It'll need a lot of repairs, though."Valeriana groans audibly."Casualties were heavy, but not crushing. The Steelshard Company is still sort of intact, so they're handling security. There are a few stragglers from the Skullstone army, but they're getting quickly located and destroyed.""So, in the end we won." You sigh. "Why doesn't it feel like it?""Because even though we won, we got beat up very very hard." The lunar explains succinctly. "And, according to our reports from Tyrant, Lynne and Karas, what we faced was just a part of Skullstone's military might.""On the other hand, we definitely took out the Bodhisattva. Going by Lynne's reports, the next in line of command seems to be the Abyssal known as the Marvelous Maker of Mayhem." Amata notes."She's not going to act outside of Skullstone without orders." Mumbles Moray in response. "She's not the type. She's not a military leader and has no spirit of initiative, or interests, outside of her labs and workshops. Not to mention the confusion and panic that will spread in Skullstone once news gets back.""Well, At least we don't have to expect a second attack." You sigh in relief.>I guess you know about the Titan now. What are we going to do with it now?>What's going to happen to Tyrant's Abyssals?>What are we going to do next?>(Other)

"Now." You try and raise your voice. "What are we going to do with Tyrant's Abyssals?""Well, they don't have a place to return to anymore, from what I understand." Amata replies. "Given the circumstances, I don't think they're a danger to us. Well, not willingly."Talon grumbles. "I heard they fought well on their side. I'd say they're free to go, but... if they don't have a place to go to...""...I think you should talk with them, Maka. Hear from them what they want. As odd as the situation is, they DID help us a lot, and we owe something to them.""...I already had a few words with Fleurdelis. She seemed... well, a bit out of it." You ponder."She had the feeling of being the most mentally fragile of them all." Is Amata's reply."She really is." You nod, thoughtfully. "At first, Abyssals kind of felt like horrible monsters to me, but... I think they're more like victims themselves, in a weird way. But we know too little of their world and their problems to know how to help."Talon crosses his huge arms. "Let them do whatever they want." He says. "Go if they want to go. Stay if they want to stay. Join if they want to join. If not, whatever. >>41931905>>41931908The counterattack option seems like a trap to set Moray off. He's totally devoted to the people of Skullstone and asking them to help attack is going to make him crazy.Besides Moray is a hero in skullstone and the people will follow him, we just need to know moray has turned his back on the bullshit that the Prince spouted and send him back there to take control of skullstone himself.

>>41931882>I plan on heading to what's left of the Dark Omen immediately after this to meet them.Using them in counterattack on Skullstone is a valid suggestion, but we need to decide on our general course of action towards it first, discuss our options with Moray.
>>41931882>I think they need time to sort things out for themselves. I'd leave them alone for a while.
>>41931935It doesn't have to be a literal military attack, but sending them with Moray to try and raise a coup against The Prince's remaining Abyssals is a valid strategy.I can't remember what the Silver Prince's prophecy was, but I wonder if we can spin it so the Bodhisattva was a pretender and Moray is the real savior.

>>41932014We can also pick up that Zenith-turned-Midnight caste to help them along
>>41932014That's actually not a terrible idea, having Moray be the 'true' savior of Skullstone. We'd need to know the full prophecy and Moray's approval, but he might go along with it if he knew it meant lessening future casualties.
>>41932095It could also potentially start a civil war, but hey.
>>41931882>>I plan on heading to what's left of the Dark Omen immediately after this to meet them.>>Do you think they can help us by leading our counterattack to Skullstone? They're better trained and equipped for this sort of thing than us.
>>41932103It's almost guaranteed to start a civil war but having a dawn solar and a circle of abyssals on one side will make it extremely one sided.
>>41931935Just saw this. It doesn't have to be an actual counterattack, at least not in the militant sense. It could be a social attack, subverting the Bod's brainwashing and also having a posse to keep the Bod's Abyssals in check.
>>41932116One sided? especially when backed by another nation haboring an entire circle of solars, a mutant hand full of dragon-bloods and 4 lunars. All together we could overthrow the rebellion easily, we just need to have Maka make a nation-wide social attack...
About Skullstone, I'm on the fence about it, I kinda want to take it for ourselves, we'd still have Moray or whoever in charge of it, but they would be more like a governor or something, they would still answer to us in the end, kinda like how we would be ruling both Gem and Tianna despite them being a million miles apart.
>>41932116We'd need to find a way to make it as bloodless as possible though, besides just not wanting to kill our future citizens, anyone that dies would come back as a ghost and potential material for more Sousteel.
>>41932160Moray is not a true leader, he's a general. He's more fit to rule in someone's name than ruling on his own. He doesn't even have a circle.
>>41932160Ehhh... the thing is that would also make Skullstone our responsibility. If we could instead set Moray up in control, and have Skullstone as an ally, we can get some of the benefits of controlling a decent chunk of the West, without having to manage three entire nations.
>>41932160>Maka controlling half of creation through figure-headsOBEY YOUR MASTER! MASTER!
>>41932186Well the best way to do that is to really show what goes on at Island Five. Nobody but the most deluded or insane diehards would support the Prince's new order then.
>>41932103Considering that Skullstone will likely be incredibly fractured with the Prince's death anyway with the hardliners believing he'll come back and the military being disillusioned, there will likely be a civil war regardless. And there's no way Moray would let the hardliners stay in power knowing what he knows about the Silver Prince. If he could fill the vacuum and try to make the transition easier for Skullstone to swallow it could only help.
>>41932200>Half of creation>not all of itWhere is your ambition?
>>41932194Moray has never had a chance to be a "true leader".This is his chance to rise to the occasion and show the quality that Solar Exaltation saw in him.
>>41932215We're not even done with our first century of life. Also gem IS the world. Once our Eclipse is there it's game over
>>41932232>the quality that Solar Exaltation saw in him.>DawnIs he going to rule by punching?
>>41932160Well, the best way to rule Skullstone is by not forcing it. Try to appear as the moral victor in this, by sending aid and supporting Moray's possible takeover. This way, Skullstone's becomes reliant on us (and if we include it into our plans with crashing the economy, one of the only places that won't fall into a depression) then we can control Skullstone as a proxy.
>>41932242I mean excellence and leadership, he had no chance to be a national leader because of the Prince but he's still a hero to the people of skullstone and an experienced leader of ships and maybe small fleets. He's also a good puncher.
>>41932252Right, I don't want to pull a Scarlet Empress and have them be a satrapy we milk dry.
>>41932242That's actually pretty validPunch disease gods awayPunch gods of animals and environement till they make them breed until noone suffers hunger and seashells fill everyones house...Unlimited aplications, like explosions, which, for solars, are the same
>>41932239>We're not even done with our first century of life. >>41932242Having a specific doesn't mean your necessarily forced into a militant role. Your more inclined to certain things, but his exaltation could evolve to match the task of leading.
>>41932273>I'm not sure what this means. He's talking about controlling the world's economy once he gets his hands on Gem's immense fucking wealth. It's probably a joke

>>41932291>jokeUm, no? Why would Mik joke about crashing the economy?
>>41932331Well sure, but the thing is that step one of those plans is always "Step one: Amass tremendous amount of wealth."Just so happens that "Conquer Gem" is one way of implementing Step One.
>>41932356See >>41932331He can and he should.
>>41932356He'll do it to serve the people of Skullstone.
>>41932308Part of me totally wants to call it that, while another is saying that even the Fist Age Solar who thought up the original Order-Conferring Trade Pattern didn't name it after themselves.
>>41932356Then I guess we'll be taking over personally. If it comes to that.
>>41932356If he really doesn't want to, then he can tell us that when we suggest the idea to him. Then we can either think of something else or convince him to do it anyway.
>>41932356Well, then we offer to step in, but given Moray really cares about Skullstone's people I don't see why he'd at least try to take the reigns (if only reluctantly)
>>41932369Only if he answers to us. Otherwise we'd just have to conquer him later on our quest to be Queen of All Creation.
>>41932370He was doing it by serving the prince. The deathlord might be gone now, but he Moray might still want someone else to take the reins.
>>41932394Maybe, but Solars are rarely the type to willingly play second fiddle to someone else.
I love it when we have civil discussion about the future take over of Creation.
"...I'm going to visit them at the Dark Omen and talk things over with them." You decide. "Maybe they can help us with Skullstone.""Maybe." Amata doesn't sound TOO convinced, but she's not entirely unsupportive of the idea either. "In the worst case scenario, we have one year to take care of Skullstone. We need to solve the problem by then, but not at the expense of everything else, I'd say."Moray falls silent, staring straight at you."...Do you have something to say?" You ask him, detecting his restlessness."...I don't know these people well. If you trust them, though, then I can give them a chance. But I want to be kept on top of things concerning Skullstone. We need to dismantle this system they're using to siphon souls off the populace." He lets out a long sigh. "I want to do something about it as soon as I'm back in shape, though I don't have a plan yet. And, I don't want to sound conceited, but I intend to do it with or without your help.""Understandable." Kinda related to this, but do we know what's going to happen to the Abyssal Exaltation from the ones we killed?
>>41932641I honestly don't know. Would they go back to the Neverborn if the Deathlord in question is really gone? I'm not really sure how Abyssal shards work once an Abyssal dies, and especially not when the Deathlord who doled them out is dead.
"Don't worry, we're on your side with this. Completely." You reply. Everyone on the table shows their agreement."On one side, the best time to strike back at them is as soon as possible." Talon nods to himself. "They must still be reeling from the shock. The longer we leave them to recover, the worse it will be.""And on the other, the longer we wait, the more people will be soulforged." Amata's tone is grave. "At the same time, we can't act IMMEDIATELY, either. We suffered tremendous damage, and even if they must be in confusion right now, Skullstone still has most of its conventional military might intact.""I'm not crazy." Moray nods. "I understand that the need to act fast must be balanced against the risk of acting too fast. The question is: what timing are we talking about here? When are we going to prepare our counterattack for?">One week, ten days at most.>Two weeks.>At the end of next month.>At the end of the season.>Three months.>(Other?)

>>41932669>At the end of next month.
>>41932669>At the end of next month. In the mean time we'll do what we can to mess with them. Propaganda campaigns, pirate attacks on their merchant ships, training, spying, tactical assassinations, whatever, we can to emphasize the weak leadership they have.
>>41932669Is this when we intend to arrive, or when we intend to set sail?>At the end of next month. If the former>Two weeks. If the later
>>41932746I had some ideas for propaganda.>The Silver Prince did not perish during the battle of Tianna. He evolved, having fulfilled his purpose of saving Skullstone. Now, as the Golden Prince, he aims to save the world!
>>41932669This decision might depend on our ability to gather necessary assets, like, if we include Abyssals in our plans and they agree to go along with it, will they be able to fix the Dark Omen and how long would it take?At the very least we will need a half-decent naval fleet if we are to approach Skullstone in force.
>>41932746"Hey guys look at these nifty coins I found with a pretty lady on them!"
>>41932789Might only work if the Silver Prince doesn't come back in a year, we gotta plan for that.
>>41932669>At the end of next month. This sounds doable.
>>41932669You know, it kind of depends on how Social-oriented this "attack" is going to be, doesn't it? If we're mostly just bringing the exalts to try and convince the people to back Moray, we might be able to leave in a week. If we expect to have some degree of military force to fight large-scale battles, then we might be better served by waiting a month. Is anyone else interested in the idea of going in with just the Exalts, and convincing the people of Skullstone to fight back with us?
>>41932826If the Abyssals are willing, then they could all go as soon as the Dark Omen or another regular ship is ready.
>>41932817Yeah, maybe set him up as an impostor? After all, anyone who appears in the guise of the Silver Prince must not have gotten the memo that the Silver Prince shed that role.
>>41932826That's a good point actually, if we want to do a bunch of social attacks we can probably leave in like a week or two and still start preparing for a military strike if it comes to that.
>>41932669>>41932826>Two weeks.Yeah that makes sense, if we just do that we can be ready in like a few weeks and hit before they're all properly set up it'll be more effective the less time they have to solidify their control.
>>41932826Well remember that the process of turning skullstone away from the abusive system the prince set up is probably going to take awhile. I'm leery of going too soon and taking a significant chunk of our available time on Skullstone alone. We've got at least two other things to do before Summer Camp, we crash the economy of Coral and then maybe the West with Mikahil, and we send a team to rescue ma and pa from gem.
>>41932826We can do both, start making social maneuvers against them in a week or two and then send in Moray and at the end of the month to hit them big.
>>41932894Don't forget the promise to Ocean Father!
>>41932915Oh I know but that's gonna be tough to do without bringing more people into the Oath to help search. We'll need to ask Ocean Father if it's okay to bring in maybe the rest of our Circle under the Oath to really search for it.
>>41932894Before the whole mess with Bod started we were going to send our ninja Exalts to Gem to check on the things there.
>>41932894Welllllll...I'm inclined to argue that MOST of the Silver Prince's system isn't that bad. That's a big part of why it's so successful: The ghosts really are selected based on the judgements of ghosts who are kept largely impartial and free of corruption,(Save from the desires of the Prince, who is no longer a factor) and giving the people a very visible reward to strive for in life goes a long way toward maintaining order. The thing is, the actual LIE is that the people who aren't chosen to remain as ghosts don't reincarnate like the Prince said, they get turned into soulsteel. And that soulsteel wasn't even a key part of the economy; it was all being kept on Island Five to make the Prince's super-fleet.If we just... stop making souls into Soulsteel and let them pass on to Lethe, we can keep most of Skullstone's society intact while removing the moral wrongs.
>>41932941Yes but that would mean that our ninja exalts would be available to help with Skullstone.Hence my wariness of undue haste.
>>41932894>We've got at least two other things to do before Summer Camp, we crash the economy of Coral and then maybe the West with Mikahil, and we send a team to rescue ma and pa from gem.We don't NEED top crash the economy before summer camp, if we have to it can wait until after.
>>41932915The oath doesn't prohibit us from spending any effort on others things except looking for that shard thingy, does it?
>>41932973We don't know how long summer camp is going to be.It might be a full year or two instead of just summer.Best to do it before when we know we've got time.

>>41932999It can still wait until after if it absolutely has too. Both Maka and Mikahil are Solars. A year or two, or even a decade, isn't that big a deal.
>>41933051I didn't say Nysela said anything, I said it was depicted on the calendar. Ask Exaltedfag if you want confirmation.
"At the end of next month?" You suggest. He clearly doesn't like the idea of waiting that long. You can read that on his face. "End of next month is fine. We'll have to come up with a plan.""We will." You reply. "We'll come up with something. Right now, though, our priority is to rebuild all the damage in Tianna. We have to take care of our home base first and foremost.""Yeah, I understand that." He nods."It's going to take a while to fix everything." Amaranta doesn't sound too energetic."How long?""Well, assuming we get all the money and resources and workforce we need... two weeks, and I'll have to wear my Charms thin." She gives you a very, very tired look. "Once i'm done, I'm going on vacation. Even if the damn sky falls down.""You definitely deserved it." You nod. "I think we all deserve... and NEED some time to recover. But first..." You turn to Mikahil."Our coffers are going to be empty again soon, way before we can fix all the damage that we suffered." He replies. "What about our loot?" Amata wonders. "How much of it can be readily converted into money or other usable resources.""Remember that we found quite a bit of gold in the Titan."Mikahil nods. "That'll help, but we need something more. Not just pure cash: access to raw resources and greater workforce."You sound like you have an idea." You know you should be afraid of Mikahil when he gets that scheming look in his eyes."I do." >>41933089>You're being crazy again.>...I'm listening. That's bullshit, but I believe it.
>>41933242Well considering they can't use the grid without the Scarlet Empress, I'd say we're safe from that at least.
>>41933239He's the Dawn caste Icewalker that gathered all the Icewalker tribes and fought off the Realm legion, I can't remember if he hates civilization though, I don't think so at least.
>>41933242Well, they can't access the Realm Defense Grid without the Scarlet Empress. And since no one knows where the hell she is, alive or dead, they can't really use it as leverage. And given we're probably one of the more powerful and good Solars active in Creation, as well as having a pretty large and quickly accumulated power base to play with (and a host of dozens of Exalted) the Realm is going to have a hard time gathering a Wyld Hunt capable of putting us down, especially given how fractitious it is right now with all the in-house fighting.
>>41933242Probably to the tune of "Send the Water Fleet and the Fire Fleet after them!"Mind, as soon as someone says that, someone, probably high up in the Peleps hierarchy, is going to remember what happened the LAST time that the Realm sent a significant chunk of it's forces after a burgeoning Solar Empire, and immediately start waffling. So, while we can definitely expect some pretty respectable Wyld Hunts sent by the Immaculates who have their shit mostly together, a combination of in-fighting and fear will probably forestall a major military response for a while.Thankfully, we don't have to worry about the RDG. If that shit comes online... then we have bigger problems.
>>41933331Like fifty miles of black problems
>>41933331If EF is using any elements from the Return of the Scarlet Empress (which I hope he does because I liked it, flawed as it was) then it isn't just us that will have to worry about the RDG, given it might fall into the hands of the Ebon Dragon. In which case everyone should freak the fuck out.
It would be really fun if we find the city of Luthe, which is currently under da sea, and get it working again. Although to get it working we would have to convince the lunar eldar Leviathan that its time to stop morning someone who died during the usurpation and its time to move on. Although we can still get something out of it if we can't get Luthe running again. There are a lot of dragonblooded down there who are treated as second class citizens by the sea folk population. We can get a lot of loyal dragonblooded to our cause if we give them a passage off Luthe in exchange for their fealty.

>>41933365While there is a lot wrong with the GSP fluff, I always though that the Ebon Dragon's plan of "use the Scarlet Empress to fuck up Creation so I can escape, then close the door behind me and laugh at the Yozi who are still trapped" was very much something he would do.The Dick.
"You're being crazy again." You roll your eyes."I'm not being particularly crazy." He replies, unflappable. "I have a few ideas. I think we can take over the Neck in three days. Without hurting anyone, if everything goes right.""...I'm listening." You reply."All I'll need is you, Tia as an escort and because it'll be hard to pry her off you, an upfront investment of a few thousand florins, and as many warstriders and warships we can put back together in working condition." He starts."...Are you SURE it's going to be peaceful?" You're having second thoughts about this."Don't worry." He seems confident. "They'll already know we smashed Skullstone. We just need to pass our narrow victory as a complete triumph, make a mind-boggling show of strength and wealth, and then win the tribal council over to our side."You roll your eyes. "...you need me to sleep with the Chieftan, right?"He grins. You have to wonder, though."Oh, the situation changed a bit, so I'm putting that on hold. I'll have to revise it." He explains. "I'll keep you posted."Alright." You tap on the table. "Now, there's another important thing we need to talk about: The Flame that Marched Against The Sea. The Titan."The room falls silent."I'm sorry I've had to keep so many secrets." Amata apologizes. "I had to.""What's done is done. What matters now is that we're literally sitting above a first age floating fortress. Hideously damaged, but still structurally intact, and with the soul of a dragon goddess-elemental of singular power." You steeple your fingers. "What do we do about it?"Valeriana raises a hand. "Our two main options are, I'd say, to either work to repair it entirely, secure Tianna above it, and turn it into a flying island, or to dismantle it completely, recycle its parts, and combine it with what's left of the Dark Omen to construct an airship out of it. >>41933820>I think a powerful airship is the best choice, even if it means dismantling the Titan for parts.
>>41933885I second this.
>>41933882Why? This is something we already promised and talked about months ago, we have always had the long term goal to be to secure Tianna and get the Titan flying again safely.
>>41933852That's kind of Sidereals in a nutshell really. They don't get to make custom charms, and they have to make do with what the Maidens give them, so they had to go and make an entire martial art about fucking.
>>41933845we've already been over that and a repaired Titan is much much much better, hell we've had this discussion 4 fucking times already and we've always agreed in the end that getting the titan flying and Tianna safe on it is the best option
>>41933906Last thread we had quite a discussion about repairing the Titan or making it into an airship. And it didn't exactly go anywhere.
>>41933820>I think a repaired Titan is the best choice, even if it will require massive and extensive repairs. And we didn't discuss our options with Flame last time we talked, did we? She should at least have a right to voice her opinion on this matter.
>>41933934Yeah it did, it went the same direction all the other times we've discussed this has gone, the airship would be the quick and dirty cheap method, and the titan would be the longer term more expensive but very much worth it option. The Titan is the more desirable and supported option, it will just take longer and cost more.
>>41933820Leave it up to Flame, she should be allowed to decide her own fate

>>41933952>>41933965"Hey Flame, would you like to be brought back your full glory like you have expressed various times in the past and is the reason you hesitated before the Silver Prince and I already promised to do so twice, or would you prefer to be decommissioned and turned into an airship?"
>>41933820I don't know if it's feasible, but imagining a mobile, well-armed and armored airship with the near-full capacity of the Titan's reactor just gives me goosebumps. Like a poor man's Shrike.
I think people are forgetting that as always, this is just a general long term goal outline and can very much be changed in the future, it isn't setting anything in stone, just like when we were originally planning Pearl and then building it.
>>41933820>>I think a repaired Titan is the best choice, even if it will require massive and extensive repairs.OH BOY HERE COMES THE SHITSTORM
>>41934011Forcing Flame into the ruined airship and cobbling it together with pieces from her former glory to make a bastardized and shitty version of the titan doesn't give me goosebumps.
>>41934018Something we should definitely keep in mind
>>41934009>>41933976While we may already know the answer, she should still be part of the decision making. She might also be the one who best knows how and where we even start
>>41934037>She might also be the one who best knows how and where we even startIrrelevant, we will get to that once we have the decision and ask her where to start repairing her.
>>41934009At the very least, if we get her to say it in front of everyone, it'll give clear direction to the project going forward. This is a lot like the asking Amata and Tia thing. Just because we're pretty much 100% sure what other people's opinions on things are, doesn't mean it's not valuable to ask them.
>>41934037>she should still be part of the decision makingShe was, several times, months ago.>She might also be the one who best knows how and where we even startThat is a good point, we should at least get her in for things like that.

>>41933820>The Sidereal grins. This is one of the few situations where that's a good sentence to read.
>>41934082>with roughly the same essence output of a fully functional TitanKeep on ignoring what has been said about that and projecting your fantasy onto the quest anon.
>>41934082Well hey, let's ask her.
>>41933820>I think a repaired Titan is the best choice, even if it will require massive and extensive repairsWhile Flame should have a say, I'm leaning on repairing it fully
>>41933897Work on the reactor first as part of the restructuring process? That's what some anon said last thread.
>>41934123Never said we shouldn't.
>>41934144That makes sense, its the heart of the Titan, repairing that will make repairing the rest and healing Flame easier.
Reminders that Tia still need to claim us , in our throne room, while soaked with the blood of her ennemies
>>41933820>>I think a repaired Titan is the best choice, even if it will require massive and extensive repairsIsland Fortress, Island Fortress!
>>41934163That would be poor etiquette. And Maka is still hurting from the previous battles.
Why do I foresee us symetrically docking with Gem in the floating island/titan Tianna, while Amata facepalms and Tia cheers?
"...I don't want to take the Titan apart. Both because it's Flame and because, well...""Because it's a Titan." Valeriana nods. "I can understand that. But I'll warn you: Don't think we'll be able to even begin working on that before next month at the very earliest.""How long do you think it will take?" You ask her back."Well, depends a lot on what you expect, exactly." She replies."What do you mean?" Amata wonders."Well, we're talking about two things: securing the island - and that also means working with its geomancy so our manses keep working even after lift-off, which is no small feat - and letting the Titan fly again. But what about the rest?" She wonders. "Making the interiors of the Titan liveable, like a massive underground city in addition to the cities in the surface? ANd, are we talking about civilian liveable, or restoring it to a military function? Up to what point? What about weaponry? Do we want just a floating island or do we want as much of the full might of a First Age battlestation as we can muster? There's a lot of variants. And... let's not talk about the Light of Judgement. I don't think I can repair that at all.">A flying island is enough.>I want it to be inhabitable, like a city.>I want it to be inhabitable, like a military fortress.>I want it to be inhabitable, like a military fortress, with all the weapons and bells and whistles you can give it.>(Other?)
>>41934082No, not roughly, it's firepower would be greatly reduced anon. It'd still be powerful, but not nearly as powerful as the intact Titan.
>>41934197I don't know about symmetrical docking, but we've got the hole where the Light of Judgement used to be and I'm sure Gem has towers....
>>41934011>Like a poor man's Shrike. We can pick that thing up too when we head down South to reclaim Gem.
>>41934216>>I want it to be inhabitable, like a city.>>I want it to be inhabitable, like a military fortress.I think most of the Titan should be available to civilians, but the core systems should be guarded and controlled by Tianna's military.
>>41934197Because that's what we do. Make people cheer and facepalm.I'm still for repairing the titan underneath the flying isle, so we can drop our Coast on enemy fleets and use the inside as population center
>>41934216>I want it to be inhabitable, like a city.
>>41934216>>I want it to be inhabitable, like a military fortress, with all the weapons and bells and whistles you can give it.But start with getting it flight worthy, that's the most important thing.
>>41934216>>I want it to be inhabitable, like a city.>>I want it to be inhabitable, like a military fortress. Both, it should be like a city that just happens to also be a military fortress where it counts, without decreasing from being a nice livable city.
>>41934216>>I want it to be inhabitable, like a military fortress, with all the weapons and bells and whistles you can give it.The surface will be where civilians live, they can take shelter inside of the Titan if something comes that can actually attack them.Since we're repairing this thing we might as well go big on it.
>>41934216Set it up like Pearl, with the bulk of it being used for civilians and the primary systems being used for the military.
>>41934216>Tell me how long it would take for each, please. We don't have to choose now, only to know what our options are.
>>41934216>I want it to be inhabitable, like a city, with all the weapons and bells and whistles you can give it.
>>41934216>>I want it to be inhabitable, like a city.>>I want it to be inhabitable, like a military fortressDon't bother with the light of judgement.
>>41934216>>I want it to be inhabitable, like a military fortress, with all the weapons and bells and whistles you can give it.But like >>41934252 said, flight is the most important thing and should be our first priority
>>41934216>I want it to be inhabitable, like a military fortress.I mean, I kind of want it to be mostly flying city, but I feel like being lax on defenses wouldn't be a good plan when somebody starts shooting at it.
>>41934216>>41934269this, whats involved in each one?
>>41934216>I want it to be inhabitable, like a military fortress. We can add bells and whistles later, we have a whole lifetime to do this, let's move a step at a time. The surface can be for Civillians, but we should have evacuation sites inside for when shit goes down in a hurry.
>>41934216>>I want it to be inhabitable, like a city.>>I want it to be inhabitable, like a military fortress.
>>41934272I second this. We should have something peaceful, defensive rather than offensive. We shouldn't use it as a weapon, even if it was initially built to be one.

>>41934216There can be only one choice.>I want it to be inhabitable, like a military fortress, with all the weapons and bells and whistles you can give it.Gotta work on some kind of aerial fleet too to avoid the need to land for any minor supply exchange with the ground.
>>41934216>>>I want it to be inhabitable, like a city.>>I want it to be inhabitable, like a military fortress, with all the weapons and bells and whistles you can give it.
>>41934216>>41934272This sooo much, and turn the Light of Judgement firing tunnel into a similar thing like we have in Pearl for praying to UCS-senpai with.
I'm pretty sure making it a city and making it a fortress would be mutually exclusive
>>41934216>>I want it to be inhabitable, like a city.>>I want it to be inhabitable, like a military fortress, with all the weapons and bells and whistles you can give it.
>>41934334We're going to have the island on top of the titan. That means food will be a non issue and maybe water too if that water aspected demesne can be made into some kind of perpetual spring.
>>41934216Adding >I want it to be inhabitable, like a military fortress, with all the weapons and bells and whistles you can give it.to my vote here >>41934269, because it's the option we can downsize, if needed
>>41934311>>41934326After we did this we should also ttry to go for mandatory military service. Rotating the recruits on half-year basis in three classes, this way we keep the population ready for defense if necessary.
>>41934216>I want it to be inhabitable, like a city. With enough weapons to defend ourselves with. Make it a city that cannot be conquered.
>>41934216>I want it to be inhabitable, like a military fortress, with all the weapons and bells and whistles you can give it.Why are people so obssed with making it civilain habitable when the point of scuring the island to the top is so people canstill live on it?
Gods and angels, we still have to train those mercenaries.
>>41934342>Light of Judgement turned into a prayer cannonYES

>>41934415No, because it shouldn't be used as a weapon. Enough weapons to defend ourselves with.
Saw this in a chinese comic book I was fapping to, immediately thought of Maka.
>>41934458Not that guy, but we can do that anyway because the outside will still have people living on it even if the inside is only military personal.
>>41934216we can do it in phases, we can focus on doing the achievable parts to begin with and keep our options open
>>41934216>I want it to be inhabitable, like a military fortress, with all the weapons and bells and whistles you can give it.
>>41934458Hell, Luthe, mentioned previously in this thread, used to be Mobile Directional Platform 3, and supported a fairly large civilian population that just went ahead and became the ordinary population once it was decommissioned and turned into a city.'Course, then they all became Shark and Octopus people, but that was the Dragon Blood's fault.
That person who was worried about samefagging last vote should have held his complaints until this one
>>41934497It should have the Light of Judgement though, so that we have a MAD situation going on with the Realm and Lookshy. Sure, they could send a Wyld Hunt after us (and maybe the RDG if they ever get their Empress back) but then we let them know that if they attack us, we fire on them.
>>41934505You're going to have to provide source anon, you know the rules.
"How long would it take you to just... make it fly?" You try asking."No idea. I still haven't seen it all, and I still need to figure out a way to keep the island on top of it. But I'd say... at the very absolute minimum? One year.""Inhabitable?" "As a city, it'd just be a matter of rearranging the passageways and making it more accessible and getting basic systems back up. Maybe two. As a fortress... we'd need to restore its armor plating, dig out firing points, restore all the military facilities. Four, five years.""At minimum.""At minimum." She nods. "And what were you thinking about.""I'm thinking that we, as Solars, right now... are way past the point when we keep our heads down. You think of the massive fortress hidden under your feet, a marvel from an ancient age... an age gone entirely wrong. Much like the fortress itself. Can you repair it all?"You said two years?"She nods."I'll hold you on to that."She relaxes. "I thought you were going to say something unreasonable like "I want it in six months" or something."You grin. "I know you're going to do it anyway."[SESSION END]
>>41934551It probably will never fire again, did that occur to you?

>>41934588Is the LoJ completely busted? Anons are shitflinging about it, but I could've sworn you said it was repairable.

>>41934565>>41934574Bah, that just means we need to wait until she can up her Twilight higher.Someone built it initially, so all we need is someone equally skilled to repair it.

She smiles weakly. "...I will never be what I used to. Maybe... Maybe over time, I'll lose myself again."So there you go. I hope your delusions work out well for you.
>>41934607In this very thread, Val said:> And... let's not talk about the Light of Judgement. I don't think I can repair that at all."That's not the same as saying "Never ever ever", but it sure sounds like "Don't count on it."

>>41934640>>41934650Because of this I think that making the Titan into a flying city-fortress is the best option. And don't use it as a weapon, but rather a safety city for the innocent and downtrodden!

Just some thoughts I had about our Gloves, what do you guys think about giving them an alternate shield form?It wouldn't stack with SHS, but I'm pretty sure it still would with Fivefold Bulwark Stance which would give us a huge defense boost, this is just in case we're ever in another situation where we need to not die as opposed to kill the things.Plus it would just be an alt. form, we could still have our gloves if we wanted to kick ass.

I feel like this is the one Exalted campaign that could actually help increase Creation and make Creation better again instead of decaying and becoming more shit as time goes on. That was always kind of underwhelming about the original books. The Solars were basically stuck with scraps, and there was an undertone that nothing would be as good as it was.
Say who rules gem at the moment?
>>41935184If nothing has changed by RAW then it's Rankor, some mortal. He's the one that dethroned us.

>>41935243He's not the wealthiest though, for our boobs are the greatest measure of wealth in creation.
>>41935278App. 7 IS an excuse.
>>41935184That's actually a VERY good question. In the canon, Rankar V is the current Despot of Gem. But... by that same canon, he's not the most recent ursurper, that was his father, Kolar III, who took the throne about 70 years ago.So, currently, Maka's backstory can't fit 100% with canon, since she lived through her family's ursurpation, and didn't spend 70 years as a mortal before exalting. So, assuming we don't throw out that canon completely(which is an option), either in this canon, Rankar V actually took power about tenish years agoOr... Maka is the daughter of Rankar V. I actually like this idea, because A: Kolar III drummed up some evidence that he was descended from the original Rankar, founder of Gem, and it wasn't necessarily complete bullshit, so if Maka is of that line she might even have some real-ass legitimacy. And plus, Rankar isn't particularly evil or, indeed, interesting in canon, so if someone ELSE was the one who overthrew Maka's family, we could have an entirely NEW antagonist and nemesis.Could dispense with Rankar and his line entirely and just have a completely new antagonist anyway, but I think it's a backstory worth considering.

>>41935385That's not how prayers OR how gods work.>>41935297An older thread has Maka's backstory. Her father was dethroned by Rankar V. Maka managed to run away. She knew Amata because Tianna was her parents' favourite vacation spot. She doesn't know what happened to the rest of her family.

>>41935426>She knew Amata because Tianna was her parents' favourite vacation spot.I remembered that Maka's parents had visited Tianna and that's why Maka had fled there, but "favorite vacation spot" implies multiple trips, which given the remoteness of Gem and how difficult it is to travel from one direction of Creation to another, maybe the people of Gem are just happy to have a ruler that is around consistently.
