This is Boruto Quest, a quest set in the universe of Naruto. It is during the generation of Naruto's son, shortly after everyone has graduated from their Genin exam. I haven't kept up with the series beyond the end of the original one, so this one is intended to recapture the feel of that time of Naruto. I will not be incorporating the main show or the Boruto movie's plot into the quest, although some recognizable characters will be present. You play as a 12 year old Genin graduate named Takeshi. You have been assigned a Jounin squad leadrt named Hanto, and your two squadmates are Kichiro, a young delinquent, and Ai, a strange social outcast of a girl. You are of average skill in most aspects, a shadow being cast over you by the particularly talented members of your class. You are a blank slate ready to set out on the world.
>>
>>42112945
You stop running once the last clone is eliminated, and you walk over to Rokuro, who is sweating as hard as you were. The Water Clone jutsu is impressive for a Genin to know, and you get the feeling that you were as instrumental in helping him learn how to use it as he was in helping you. You walk over to Rokuro. "Thanks for the exercise, but it's starting to get late and I've had a long day. I'm gonna head home."

He nods, and smiles. "Likewise. I'll see you around."

You head home, and find your brother, watching TV and grilling pork just as before. Today he seems to have boiled some vegetables in a pot as well. He waves in your direction as you enter. "Hey Takeshi, you look beat. Long day?"

>A. I had my first mission and did some training. It went pretty well.

You smile. "Bro, I bet you my first mission was crazier than yours."

He chuckles, popping one of the vegetables in his mouth. "Probably. I walked some dogs. What did you do?"

You take a seat at the kitchen table, and you place the stack of money that you've earned onto the table. "My team went to a bar and blew up some thugs." Your brother looks at you funny. "That sounds a little intense for a bunch of Genin, heh." You nod. "I'd think so too, but our Sensei took us to this bar at a nearby town. We protected it from a gang who wanted to break in and wreck the place up."

Your brother scratches the stubble on his chin, and takes a drink of a glass of milk. "Well, at least it was for a good purpose then. Maybe that'll help the crime problem in general. No one will want to go out when children are playing now, you never know which one will be a shinobi, haha!" You chuckle, and enjoy a dinner with your brother before standing up.

"I'm going to head to sleep. I want to wake up early tomorrow so I have time to do some stuff."

He nods. "Night, Takeshi."

You peacefully rest, only a little bit sore in the morning. You shower, get dressed, have a small breakfast, and head out the door. The entire Leaf Village is open to you until the afternoon, where you must meet your Sensei at the training field. What do you do?

You soon find yourself in the market, and look around. Something in particular is on your mind, buying poison and possibly information on anatomy. You find a few stands for herbalists medicines and the like, but you can't seem to find anything specifically for poison. You approach an elderly man at a stand. "Do you know where I could buy some poison?"

He nods. "Yeah, you can get some rat poison about four stand's down. Guy makes it himself, gets the job done every time!"

You shake your head. "I mean like poison for shinobi. For people."

The man leans on his stand with one arm, and shakes his head. "Freakin' kids. What does someone your age want with poison? It's not like you're gonna be running into anyone that needs killed on missions of your level."

>A.I could kick your ass and I'm twelve, you know that right?

Alright I just tuned in and guys if you want to get poison you don't just buy it in the market, probably the best way is to find some shinobi scrolls detailing some poisons and acquire the herbs by collecting or buying to make the poison ourselves.

"If I don't practice, how am I going to be effective when I'm older?"

He leans up, and shrugs. "Alright, you got me there. I'd rather not lose a son because I wouldn't give directions to you and you had bad poison or something. You should be able to find poison at the specialty weapon shop a few blocks down. You can't miss it, the signs for the sales are everywhere. The owners are a renowned family of Shinobi."

You nod. "Thanks, mister. Appreciate it."

You head down the road, until you find a shop covered in posters for various weaponry. They apparently do custom forges and sell all sorts of maintenance products, as well as general shinobi tools or equipment. When you walk in, it's like you've stepped into a weapon emporium. There's woman who looks to be in her thirties sitting at the counter, who smiles and waves when you walk in. She's wearing a white, long sleeve button up shirt, and red pants. She also has a leaf headband on, and brown hair with buns in the back. "Hello there. I don't think I've seen you around here before, young man. My name is Tenten, my family owns this shop. Is there something I can help you with?

"Hello, my name is Takeshi. Do you have any poison?" you ask.

Tenten nods. "We do carry a mass produced liquid poison that's used all over the globe. Specialized stuff you'll have to request at the Flower shop."

You blink. "They sell poison at the Flower Shop?"

Tenten chuckles. "That's right. The Yamanaka family that owns the store are very familiar with flora, and being shinobi, they use it to great effect. If you know how to make something that even they don't, you can custom order individual plants. It's expensive though, I have to warn you! The prices of the flowers can be bad enough, around the holiday's." She winks at you, and you get the impression she's just jesting at the competition on the market.

"Thanks." you say. "Do you have any books or anything on anatomy?"

She frowns. "Hmm, you'd be better off trying the Academy library for something like that. The only thing we have of that nature is these human-shaped paper targets with the vitals marked. But I'm guessing you could get that kind of training with any of your friends that can make clones."

You nod. "Right. Well, what about support items?"

She waggles a finger in your direction. "Now those we have! What would you like? We have flash bombs, smoke bombs, wire, food pills, bells for distractions, multitools, explosive tags, etcetera etcetera."

>A. Can I buy some of the generic poison? (1 vial for 3000 Ryo, 10 uses.)

You purchase all of the equipment that you can fit into your weapon's pack, even going as far as to buy a second pack to place on the other side of your hip. Now you have one for your senbon, kunai, and shuriken, and then one for your support items. You now have a vial of poison, an explosive tag, wire, and two flash bombs. Tenten even gave you a free multitool for being a good first time customer and buying a lot.

Now you have 88,000 Ryo left. "Thanks." You say, smiling. "Do you know of any other ways to deliver poison that are just as accurate as a senbon?"

Tenten seems to think for a moment, placing her finger on the tip of her chin before holding it up as an idea hits her. "A deceptively friendly cup of tea! They'll never see it coming!"

You chuckle, and give thanks for the advice, although it wasn't really what you were meaning.

You tell Tenten goodbye and leave the weapon store. That took about an hour. It's 9 o' clock. Where do you want to go?

You make your way to the Academy, and enter. You say hello to a few of your teachers that you see, and enter the library. There are all sorts of books, but you came here with a particular goal in mind. You want to read a book on anatomy to improve your aim with senbon, and maybe even just learn a little bit about the human body. You've got no idea how medical ninjutsu works, but you figure that since a requirement of it is advanced chakra control, it might help you to get better at Genjutsu as well.

You walk around the library, searching through rows of books. You come around a corner to the section that you believe your desired book to be, and spy a girl from your class at that exact spot. Her name is Sarada Uchiha, and she has an infamous reputation as a genius. During your years at the Academy, you would often hear the teachers praising her and her abilities both as a shinobi, and an academic. You would be lying if said that you didn't feel a bit jealous of her abilities, your goal of wanting to become the strongest shinobi has her along the path, waiting.

Same as Mari. You're really going to have to step it up if you want to compete.

She seems to be dragging her hands along the book shelf, searching. What do you do?

>A. Cast an illusion on her to change the title of the book that you're looking for, to ensure that she doesn't grab it.

You step out of the rows of books and start to head over to Sarada. You step beside her, and start to look through the titles for the one that you're looking for. As you're examining, she picks a book and walks away. You keep going down the line, looking for your book, until you come across an empty space.

The empty space where your book should be. You quickly turn around, and hold out a hand. "H-hey! Wait a second! That book!"

She turns around and pushes her glasses up slightly, staring at you with an annoyed look. "What about it?"

You walk over to her. "I was looking for it."

She keeps that annoyed look up. "Right. And?"

You rub your neck. "Do you think that I could..-"

"No." She flatly states, turning around and starting to walk away.

You take a step forward. "Hold on! Maybe we could just study it together!" Sarada slows her walk, seeming to consider her answer before spinning around. She's holding the book close to her chest. "I'm sorry, but I think you'd just slow me down, really. You can have this book when I'm done with it. My mother is too busy to give me notes on medical ninjutsu. I've already got a great head start in chakra control, and I'm at the top of the class. It won't take long for me to be finished with it, okay?"

She's not looking at you with that same annoyed look, but you can tell she's torn between her determination and her unfriendliness. She doesn't wish to directly insult you, but she honestly believes that she's superior to you and more deserving of the first serving of the knowledge contained within.

She's not suggesting that she's better than you to insult you, she's insisting that it's a fact and you should recoil and accept it.

Or maybe she just really wants that book? Would you have given her the book if she would have asked? Probably not. But you would have definitely let her study with you. What do you say?

You chuckle. "Hey, don't be so harsh! I'm a lot smarter than I seem. I'm positive that I could keep up with you in a study session if you gave me the chance."

She seems skeptical, adjusting her glasses again. "Your test scores were never all that impressive. I remember you from class. Basically average in every category. Ninjutsu, Taijutsu, Genjutsu, and academics. I think you should learn some more standard jutsu before you try and tackle something like this."

You cross your arms. "If you want to be Hokage, you should try being a little more sociable, Sarada."

You think for a few moments, trying to discern a way to prove your intelligence to her. Suddenly, you smile. "What if I told you that I once landed a hit on Mari Hyuga, a Genin who's a year older than us. I'm sure you've heard of her, if you're looking out for competition."

Sarada's eyes went serious for a brief moment, as she tried to see through what must be a deception of yours. She soon scoffed. "Tch, please. Mari is a shinobi as skilled as I am. There's no way that you'd be able to hit her. What Jutsu do you even know that could preform such a feat?"

You smile.

She makes an audible "Hmph." Seemingly outdone by your comment. She turns around and walks away for a few seconds, before turning around once more. "You should have spoken up more in class. I didn't know that someone who seemed as boring as you had so much to say."

You can't help but grin widely. "I could say a lot more if you'd let me have a look at that damn book, haha!"

She sighs in resignation. "I'm not going to be able to use it for the rest of the day anyway, I have way too many chores. Listen, if I give you my address, will you please drop this book off at my house before it gets too late?"

You nod. "Sure! Thanks a lot, I'm going to put it to really good use."

Handing you the book, she sighs once more, and takes out a sticky note from her bag. She writes an address on it and with a single finger, sticks the note onto your forehead with a poke, before holding it out menacingly towards you. "Don't be late! I will seriously knock you into next week if you don't give me this book tonight, got it?"

You nod. "Got it."

You decide to stay at the library, and Sarada leaves. You pour in to the medical text. It's thick, complex, and difficult to initially understand. You start by learning about the bones, joints, and arteries. You start to get a rough idea of where everything is located after a couple of hours. You have enough skill to hit a still target's joints and impede their movement, or even an artery for a fatal wound. Poison is also critically effective if you can hit an artery. Aiming in this way is impossible if the target is on the move, however.

You look up at the clock, and realize that it's almost time to meet your team at the training field. You get up and set off, carrying the book under your arms as you do so. A short walk later and you see the rest of your team waiting patiently for you to arrive, near the Memorial Rock. You're slightly late.

Your sensei waves as you approach, and your squadmates seem as disinterested as ever. Ai is standing perfeclty straight, the picture of uniform discipline. Kichiro, surprisingly enough, looks totally awake. You imagine he's glad to not be waking up early in the morning. He calls you out. "What's the big idea, being late like this!? We've got business to take care of!"

Your sensei chuckles. "Relax, we've got the whole afternoon to practice this. Besides, after I show you the basics you can practice this on your own, as well."
>>
>>42117187

Ai looks up at him. "What will we be doing, Sensei? Are you going to be teaching us a technique?"

You set your book down near the trees as you approach. Hanto nods. "That's right. From what I've seen, you guys pretty much have total mastery over the basic Academy jutsu. Kichiro, you have enough Chakra that you're able to use them effectively. Ai, you're naturally talented enough that they come like second nature to you. Takeshi, you're smart enough that you can use them in unpredictable ways. Considering that you're all three around a similar level, I think it's the perfect time for this technique."

He starts calmly walking towards a tree, before placing his foot on the trunk and walking vertically up it. He continues to speak as he does so. "You've probably seen Shinobi do this a lot, but never even thought about it except when you wanted to do it. It's an incredibly important fundamental technique, and it completely changes the way you look at a battlefield. You do it by concentrating chakra at the soles of your feet. This is excellent practice for trying to get ahold of your chakra control. Kichiro, this exercise is going to be critical for you. Ai, Takeshi, I think you'll pick up on it quickly. Everyone give it a shot.

You and your squad all stand in a line, each facing towards your own respective tree. First, Kichiro goes. He pumps a large amount of Chakra into his feet and sprints at the tree. He seems to be getting a few steps in, going straight up. After a very short while, however, the wood starts to splinter under his feet. A couple of more steps and he's launched backwards, slipping after putting too much resistance on the soles. Hanto let's him know where he was wrong, appearing at the exact point where Kichiro took his last step and marking the tree with a kunai.

"Not bad, but you got too eager. Tone it down and keep it steady. If you can't control the flow, you'll burn yourself out too quickly." Kichiro grumbles, but forms a handsign. He seems dead set on completing the task before him.

Next to you, Ai makes her attempt. She forms a handsign and slowly starts feeding in Chakra to her feet, shutting her eyes and concentrating. After a little while she stops, and the grass around her feet can be seen gently swaying. She appears to have a steady stream of chakra. She runs towards the tree, picking up speed the closer she gets to it. When she hits it, she starts going vertically up at a much faster pace than Kichiro was. Her momentum helps her to keep going and going, while the steady stream keeps her balanced. As she starts to run out of momentum, however, her foot slips and she's sent crashing to the ground. Thankfully she uses the Transformation Jutsu to turn into a small bird, gliding down before turning back and landing again. She wordlessly looks up at the tree, clearly trying to discern where she went wrong. Once again, Hanto marks her spot, and he gives her his advice.
>>
"Not bad at all! One of the best first attempts I've seen. It's easier when you're in motion and you have speed, but you'll have to be able to do it standing still too. Practice on controling the chakra in a slightly more fine and responsive way, rather than simply having a static amount come out. Time it with your steps."

Now, you go. You hold your handseal as you slowly walk towards the tree, and when your foot hits it, you can feel gravity vanish. You start to walk calmly up the trunk, still holding the seal. You struggle to maintain it, and it feels like intense working holding yourself still at this speed. Although it takes you longer than anyone else, and you've clearly exerted the most effort, you manage to get much higher than Ai, although when you come crashing back down, you apparently decided to tumble through some branches and hit a bush instead of being graceful. You hear Hanto call out. "Good job! If you keep practicing like that, you'll be able to do this in no time!"

You and your squad practice for hours, with Hanto standing nearby and offering snarky advice, and chuckling a bit at your misfortunes. Eventually, you all start to reach about the same level of effectiveness, although it's clear that it took Ai and Kichiro a little while to catch up for this specific exercise. Once it's over, Hanto calls you all down.

"Alright, guys. Originally I was just going to eat these all myself, but since you've been working so hard, I think you've earned them."

He opens up a box of donuts!

You walk over, and inspect the donuts. They seem to be ordinary. You pick one up, and inspect it with your eye. "Hmmm. Is this another test? They're not poisoned, are they?"

Hanto chuckles, and takes a jelly filled donut out of the box, and bites into it. There's a bit of the strawberry jelly on the corner of his mouth. "Of course not. Why would I eat a whole box of poison donuts all by myself if you guys suck? What would my plan for the devious donuts have been if you all actually couldn't preform the tree walking technique?"

You decide to wait for a few moments, and after seeing that your sensei is unharmed, decide to take a donut from the box. You grab a glazed one with chocolate sprinkles, Ai grabs a chocolate cream filled one, and Kichiro takes a powdered cinnamon sugar donut. You all munch happily for a few moments, having worked up quite an appetite. Your sensei shuts the box, and tucks it under his arms. "Well, good job today, team. You look over at Kichiro. "How's your nose doing?" He gives you a dejected look, like he really doesn't want to talk about it. After you return this look with a blank smile, he eventually gives in. "It's fine. I still don't know what he even did to me, though."

Oddly enough, Ai speaks up. "I believe it was a different version of his father's technique."

Kichiro crosses his arms. "Oh, yeah, isn't his dad supposed to be some sort of big shot Jounin?"

Ai nods. "Correct. his name is Sarasu Hikawa. He is a Fire type specialist, and an incredibly potent Taijutsu master. He combines these skills to create a devastating fighting style known as Dragon Boxing. I've read about it in old news stories."

You blink. "Huh, so Hanto really is that guy's son. I guess that's why he's so looked down upon. Anyone would be when you get compared to a hero like that."
>>
>>42118385

Kichiro nods in agreement. "True, but he doesn't seem to mind at all. If anyone, the guy seems like he doesn't have a care in the world."

Ai looks up at the both of you. "Perhaps this explains his delinquent behavior from the other day."

You chuckle. "Maybe. By the way, good job out there today, Ai. We were neck and neck the whole time!"

"..."

Kichiro pipes up next to you while Ai remains silent. "Hey! I was right behind you guys the whole way, don't forget to acknowledge me too, buster!" You chuckle and rub the back of your head, smiling. "Sorry!"

Looking up at the setting sun, you can see that it's getting kind of late. "Shoot, I've gotta go guys. I've got to give a friend her book back. See you!"

You wave at your squadmates as you run off, and see that they separate and go on their own ways as well. You pull the address you'd recieved out of your pocket, and find the appropriate house in town. You knock on the large red door, holding the book under your arms. A woman with pink hair and a diamond on her forehead appears, frowning when she sees you. "Oh jeez, not another one. I told you little creeps to leave my daughter alone! She's not interested!"

The woman slams the door. What do you do?

You scratch your cheek, a little surprised to have the door slammed in your face. You swear that can you hear Sarada and the woman, who is probably her mother, speaking behind the walls. You knock on the door again, recieving no answer after a few moments of waiting. You persist still, and start to beat on the door until someone answers.

Soon enough, Sarada's mother opens the door again. She looks absolutely livid. "I told you to scram, so scram! Why don't you just-"

You hold up the medical textbook, and yell over Sakura's voice. "Ma'am! You're misunderstanding me! I just wanted to give Sarada her book back!"

Her mother places both hands on her hips, and cocks an eyebrow at you. "Is that so? Well..I'll let Sarada be the judge of that. I swear if this is some sort of trick, I'm going to give your parents a call and let them know what sort of nonsense you've been into besides training."

You chuckle. "I think my bro would just laugh at me if he thought I was chasing girls."

The mother turns around, and yells over her shoulder. "Sarada! Some boy says that he has a book to return to you! Get down here!"
>>
>>42118911
Lets not...
>>
>>42119038

Moments later, Sarada is quickly stepping down the stairs that you can see behind her mother. She approaches, and steps just beside her mother. "You can go, mom."

The woman crosses her arms, and looks at Sarada suspiciously. "You mean this isn't a ploy of his or something..? Hmmm, alright. But no funny business."

Sarada's cheeks turn slightly pinkish, and she clenches her fists. "Get out of here mom!"

You suspect that her mother is just teasing her, and understands that you're really here to just drop off a book. Or maybe she's just this paranoid about her little girl. Either way, the woman turns and walks away, and Sarada turns back to you, adjusting her glasses. "Sorry about that. Boys come over here all the time trying to get me to hang out with them, she's pretty fed up with it. I see you have the book. Give it here."

You hand her the text.

Behind her, Sarada's mother yells out. "Dear! Dinner is ready! Are you inviting your friend in, or are you just going to let all the cool air out of the house?"

Sarada groans, and you chuckle.

>A. Well? Invite me in.
>B. The text wasn't too hard to understand. Now that I'm caught up a bit on it, we should study. I don't want to wait for you to be done now that I've started.

"The text wasn't too hard to understand. Now that I'm caught up on it a bit, we should study. I don't want to wait for you to be done now that I've started!"

Sarada makes a small "hmph." and adjusts her glasses again. "That's too bad. That wasn't the deal. You can have it once I'm done with it. Besides, I'm usually very busy with my team or training. I don't have time to waste playing teacher for you."

You grumble. "You've got the wrong idea. I don't want you to teach me how to do this stuff, I want to work with you. Jeez, it's called cooperation, ya know?"

She starts to shut the door. "Yeah, right. I bet this is just an excuse to try and date me or something. It's not like I haven't heard the 'study session' line before, /genius/!

She slams the door in your face, much akin to the way that her mother had done. Apparently she's minsinterpreted your interest in the material she has as a personal excuse to try and date her or something.

You turn around and start to walk away, grumbling. "Ridiculous. I had no idea she was actually like that. Now if I do anything but wait for the book..she'll sick her mom on my for trying to flirt with her!"

You facepalm, and start on your way home, feeling defeated. Why couldn't you have just grabbed the book first? Sometimes life isn't fair.

Well, it depends on what shift he's working. Whatever shift it is, he wakes up, does some exercises to stay in shape, eats breakfast and showers off, and heads out. The entirety of his job is creating a barrier for hours at a time from his chakra, requiring intense focus. He takes a meditative position and does this several times a day, and during the times when he's off-shift but at work, he's either manning the village gate, training with his fellow employees, or doing paperwork for deliveries to and from the village, to deliver to his boss. That is if he worked the gate that day.

On his days off he might go drinking with his friends, or he and takeshi might go get something to eat or just hang out and watch television and bullshit.

I do have a few writing critiques though, your writing is very good. However you use the same words when describing character actions, like smirks chuckles etc.

>>42119493
nah

>>42119518
yeah I'm aware of this, doing dialogue isn't something I have any sort of technical understanding of so I'm sort of mitigating my need to experiment by using some stock words. I do better when writing slowly in this aspect.

I'll try and keep it mixed up
>>
>>42119550
Dialogue is always tricky, some advice I give students is to imagine talking to your friends. Then you apply that to your characters. For dialogue to feel natural it has to be between people and not cut-outs.

tl;dr imagine the character is a person
(your writing is very clean though)

>>
>>42119600
I sort of do that, but I'm also trying to relate the characters to the world as well. Use phrases they use and mannerisms seen in the series. I tend to focus on that and the content of what they say as opposed to the presentation, and I need to balance that out a little bit.

Thanks for the advice though. I greatly appreciate any and all commentary/criticism.

>>
>>42119793
Sure.

Hanto: "Obviously the smart one of the group. He'll do the talking and planning, bring the others together."

Ai: Utter confusion, much in the same way she reacts to any social situation

Kichiro: Mostly indifferent, but he was impressed by your quick thinking on the mission.

Rock Lee: "I see great potential in this Genin, if he can apply himself in the proper way. It is a shame that his sensei is one who lacks such direction."

Mari: "Cowardly dork got lucky, I won't fall for any of his tricks next time. I won't play around, I'll just go straight for the finish!"

Takkun: Good ol' dependable Takeshi. It's too bad I didn't get put on a team with him, I'm sure things wouldn't be so chaotic.

Sakura: "Just another punk who's thinking with the wrong head"

Saruda: "This guy might be even more annoying than Boruto."

Rokuro: "He's well rounded, at least. Nothing exceptional, though. I'm sure that I could defeat him if I needed to."

I don't think I missed anyone.

>>42119992

>>42120057
Although the combat and everything else is pretty much 100% freeform, I have a very clear cut idea of how things should progress, so I'm happy to answer any question to give you guys the best context for each scenario.

Plus it's fun relating things you would never find out about normally in quest, like the character's thoughts.

I actually already have an idea of how the characters are all going to develop ability wise. Every genin you've met has their own gimmick that they use. I'm keeping those secret though, so that they're extra cool when they happen

>>42120090
Chakra Scalpel is too low level of a technique to really compete with Rasengan. It's something you could learn as a high-tier genin or low-tier chunin.

Yeah we're working on it, girl wants to hit us really hard the next time. I'm so looking forward to it blowing up in her face.
>>

Hmm....
How do we defeat girl with byakugan, great defense and tool user expert?
I dunno... but it has to be something psychological
>>
>>42120201
Actually, Mari's strikes penetrate traditional armor. You won't receive any physical damage from her attacks that way, but the points she strikes will still damage your tenketsu or whatever they're called, disrupting your chakra flow.

Mari is one of my favorite characters because of her skill set. Incredibly dangerous at close and long range, and has the ultimate defense and an incredibly powerful sensory ability. A great combination.

>>42120355
Well, once it hits a wall is when it does it. So if you can put something in it's path before it reaches you it'll be completely negated, since all of it's force is a single impact rather than penetration of multiple targets or some such.

You can better resist the hyuga's chakra blocking through one of two ways. One way is by having a great amount of chakra control, but this is largely ineffective unless you have really, really good control. The other is to simply blast open your gates with a stupid amount of Chakra, but you're not Naruto.

>>42120520
Could we use wire and senbon plus chakra to replicate what this anon referenced?>>42120552
>>
>>42120555
Yep, she has no special defense against it. Well, sort of.

She can see 360 degrees for miles around, so she'll be able to see you forming the handsigns and infer that you're about to cast a genjutsu on her by the seals you use. Then she can simply stab herself or break out of the genjutsu using kai.

If you're going Genjutsu, the best thing to do is either be as subtle as possible and try and fool her into falling into one without realizing it, or casting a Genjutsu so powerful she can't break out of it without causing damage to herself repeatedly.

If you trap her in a Genjutsu that she can't escape at all from, though, you win.

>>42120594
You don't have the physical strength to propel it hard enough. You would need a similar bow set up.
>>
>>42120624
This is why we attack from stealth, oh wait she can see through solid objects.... Maaaaaan if the Sharingan wasn't more bullshit the Byuakugan would piss me off more
>>
>>42120624
Guess this is one of our potential weakness in becoming a trap master eh Min?
>>
>>42120624
Correct me if I'm not wrong but just because she has the range and degree does not mean she can use it 24/7. After all Naruto caught Neji from below by distracting him. Couldn't we do much the same to hit her with a genjutsu?
>>
>>42120685
That's correct. She has to actively try to look 360 degrees and at great distances.

The key will be getting the genjutsu off before she finds you. Especially since she'll be able to differentiate any distraction that isn't a shadow clone from you, and divert her time to looking for you.

You could play on her arrogance. But she's wise enough not to trust you after your initial display, so that could be much harder now.

>>42120681
There's a lot of weaknesses involved with any build, anon.

The exam will be a while. You'll have met every team in the Leaf before it starts. Ai has been diligently training her fundamental skills and trying to advance, but she's been having some trouble due to her social seclusion. She would do better if she was less anxious about succeeding.

Kichiro divvies up his time between hanging out with his friends from his old class and training, now that he's a Genin. He probably has the most Taijutsu experience out of the Genin of your squad, brawls among his buddies being common.

He's having a hard time improving his actual jutsu though. He'll be working on that soon though.

They're both tough nuts to crack. In the end, it will be up to you to bring everyone together, but right now you could potentially do more harm than good.

Kichiro has his own problems, but he's not really willing to talk about them. You could convince him to spar or train with you though, and that could lead to hanging out. Ai is Ai would probably have a panic attack over an extended social hangout. She doesn't even feel comfortable just training.

Hell, when you guys complimented her tonight, she was shaken up until she got home. She's fragile.

Holyshit man, she has less autism and more extreme social anxiety. What is her home life like christ

It's really both.

and it's a bit messed up. She's no sasuke, but, she does have her motivations for wanting nothing more than to be a part of the ANBU black ops

I have a question. So a flash bang is nothing more then light and noise right? So does that mean when our clones throw their flash bangs out they'll be just as good as the real thing?

We'd need an illusion that creates the intense light and noise of a flashbang.

>Saruda: "This guy might be even more annoying than Boruto."
That's like a fullblown tsundere admission of love.
