Morning.

Ughhh.

You had too much fun last night. You've been awake for almost five minutes and you still don't know where you are.
Which is both the sign of a wicked hangover, and a sign that you've been drinking the good stuff.

You are Jack Albator, handsome explorer, bold adventurer, beholder of fluffy tails. It's roughly 10AM in the morning, judging by the rays of light streaming through the window. Which means that you've overslept by at least four hours.
Yesterday, you raided Konditorei's castle and 'kidnapped' their princess, or something. Maybe that counted as 'rescuing'. The lines are blurry when it comes to that.

After that, you found that Konditorei 'rescued' the entire castle and city of Gallete. So you went to kidnap them right back. It was a task that was straight forward and simple except for one glaring problem; Konditorei has another hero on their side to add to the one they abandoned. One who is at least a seasoned veteran who can use any kind of magic at-will.
You remember thinking some about it last night. It made you feel bad for Kayda, who was Konditorei's first hero. She was thrown away after they found a much stronger hero.

Then you passed out. It's time to figure out where you ended up after last night.

You see a curtain drawn over a gigantic bed. That's a good sign, at least you're sleeping on a bed instead of face-down in your own drool. Silk linens, and wooden ornaments. This must be one of the guest bedrooms. Fuzzy ears, shiny scales, and fluffy tails. Okay! So you're still in dogland, too.

Hold on, fuzzy ears and fluffy tails?

You sit up and survey the bed. Around you lay the fully-clothed and completely-unconscious forms of Tuile, Madeleine, Atsuko, and Camille.

All the fluffy bits.
AND the scaly bits.

They're right there. Inches away from your face.
The blonde one just twitched slightly.

You really shouldn't; the girls were probably placed in the guest bedroom with you because Alicot, Biscotti's head maid, knows that you have a way higher tolerance to alcohol than any of the girls. Also because she knows you'll probably scare off anyone that tries to walk in on a bunch of half-drunk girls laying on a bed.

Which is why it's such a shame that you've already grabbed one in each hand and started rubbing.
Oh, this auburn one. Tuile is really soft, just like her personality. There's something to say about Madeleine's tail, too. It feels more smooth, and cool to the touch. It's almost relaxing to hold. Gently, it wiggles free from your hand. You quietly reach over and pet Atsuko on the head. She's soft too, but she has a kind of calming feel about her. It's funny considering how much of an ice-lass she can be when she's irritated. Camille, her fur is kind of coarse. It makes you wonder if she's led a rough life, or perhaps just needs to catch up on sleep.

You are so thankful to have such a great crew. Also, they have cute butts. That's a plus in your book.

That's when you notice that a head has risen above the sheets, one with silvery blue hair.
"Don't be shy, you can keep going." Madeleine says, a mischevious smile on her lips.

>"No no, too risky."
>"Don't mind if I do!"

Yeah but I fear that might be his personal brand of bullshit...

Seriously, we need to consider this sort of thing.

There was talk of having multiple girls at once, this would be even worse then if we'd end up abandoning them.

"Why don't mind if I-"
You feel a bump against your nose. A brown tail has bopped against your face and slides down onto your chest.

You turn your head quickly to notice a single slightly-open eye from Tuile. It quickly shuts as the tail twitches some.
Argh, that's cute.

You lean back and examine Madeleine as she lays back down onto the bed.
"How're ye feelin'?"
"Good! I forgot to tell you, the skin problem is gone!"
"Aye, a little salt water solves almost any illness."

Well, not any, but most that you know of.

"Mm, I should remember that."

You look once more at Tuile, and notice her eye close again.

"What happened last night?"
"Well, we discussed plans for fighting this guy, got involved in a game of strip poker with Cody. After Yuuki and lost her shirt, his fiancée came in and dragged him off. Then I passed out."
"Sounds like a fun night."

You keep stroking the fuzzy and scaly mass in your hands. You can feel Tuile's hand gently poke at your side.
Argh.

"So, one other question."
"Hmm?"
"How old are ye?"

She leans back, that mischevious smile again.
"Old enough for you."

Yeow.

"Wait! So am I!"
Tuile lazily sits up and wraps her arms around you.

"Pfft, decided to drop the act, huh?" Madeleine smiles
"What act!?"
"That 'I'm sleeping but actually listening in' act."

"Hmph." She leans up against you. "I was just checking in to make sure my husband wasn't thinking of cheating."

>"Wait wait, Husband? Explain"
>Ignore it, that's more trouble than it's worth.

Oh, there's something you really didn't want to think about.
You almost feel like a drink, all of the sudden.

"Ey, can we talk about that later? Aye think doin' that 'ere with everyone else is unbecoming."
"Hmph." Tuile lets go and falls back onto the mattress. Madeleine smiles a little.
"Just means you'll have a little more time to marry me."

"'Ey, what'd I just say?"
"Heh, aye capt'n." Madeleine giggles.

She really does love getting under your skin.

"mmphnkmph." You hear a very disgruntled groan emit from the blonde puff of hair to the other side of you.
"I think it's time I made my leave." You gently creep out of bed, "No need in givin' any wrong ideas to people who might bash my sailors in my sleep."

"Heh, good luck." Madeleine curls back up on the blanket just as you slip off of the mattress. Gently, you creep out of the door.

It shuts with a tiny thump, just as a voice nearly scares you out of your skin.
"Get a good rest?"

You turn around, it's Fritelli.
"I was worried you would get your workout for the night." She has her arms crossed, a bit of a smile on her face.
"Argh, ye know I'm a gentleman."
"I'll contest that, but whatever." She points down the hallway, "The other heroes who woke up this morning are already in the courtyard. It's time to get started."

"Started?"
"Training, you know that. If you want to get the proper experience, you gotta play by my rules." Fritelli claps her hands together. "Let's go, One two."

Tulie: "H-How many?! I-I don't know!" She pushes her fingers together in embarrassment, her tail swishing back and forth. "One w-would be lonely, s-so more than that definitely. N-not a lot, mind you! Just like...a half dozen...or a dozen...or t-two." She buries her blushing face into her hands, tail moving in overdrive.

Madeleine: "Oh Jack~. Already thinking that far ahead, are we?" Her tail wraps around Jack as she leans to his ear. "Well, a ship will need a crew, right?~"

"Aye aye!" You make a mock salute, the best that you know how. "Aye know better than to say no to a drill seargent. Lead the way."

She sighs, with a slight smile.
"I with the others were as cooperative as you. Come along."

She leads you down to the armory to get your things back and maybe dress in something a little more becoming than clothes you've been wearing for three days. She hands you some practice gear as you follow her down the hallway.

"Ye said ye wish the others were as cooperative? What's happenin'?"
"Yeah, so. Some of your hero team isn't exactly getting along."

"Really?! Aye thought Cody, that kid, and Yuuki got along just fine!"
"For one, that kid is named 'Dorje'. Memorize his name next time you say that. And two, there are more than four heroes in your crew. One of them didn't even wake up this morning for training, and the other-"

You step out into the courtyard, presented with targets, some soldiers sparring, and some familiar faces.

Cody is sitting on the sidelines, looking rather sullen. You notice that his coat is torn, and his left eye seems a bit reddened.
Yuuki and Dorje seem to be the only two doing any kind of training together. If you can call it that. They both move very slowly in unison, as they seem to be re-enacting the slowest fight ever.

Meanwhile, there is a much more angry face back toward the ranged targets. There's a crate of what appear to be axes, and a silver-haired damsel with a piercing gaze on her face to match the colored headband.

Wordlessly, she grabs one axe out of the crate, and then throws it at a target with perfect accuracy.

She notices you looking at her, and then immediately goes back to chucking those axes. One target explodes into splinters.

Eep.

"She hasn't said anything all morning." Fritelli crosses her arms.

>"That's lovely! Want to train Cody?"

"Aye." You sigh, you already know this isn't going to go the way you expect it to. "Aye'll go see if I can have a talkin' with her."
"Good luck." She seems worried.

You're worried too, but for a different reason.
Cautiously, you walk over to where the silver-haired girl is winging axes. You're very cautious to not startle her or make yourself known as a threat.

"Hey." You say, kneeling down to about her eye level. "Want to come train with us? It's better than tryin' to do it all yourself."

She pouts, and then takes out another axe. She throws it dead-center in one of the targets as it splits clean in two.

"Y'know. I know ye don't trust us very much. I don't know why, we did save yer life after all."
Another axe is thrown.

"-But, ye could at least know by now that tryin' to do everything yerself makes it worse."
There goes another axe.

"'Ey, do ye even speak our language? I'm startin' to wonder."
She stops.

She drops the axe in her hand, and turns to face you.
"Do you think I want this!?" Her expression goes from cold to absolutely sour in an instant.

Even though this is the first time she's ever spoken to you, you still feel taken aback.
"What?"
"Do you think I want this!? Do you think I want to be in your stupid country while my summoner cries herself to sleep at night!?"
She picks up another axe, "I didn't ask to be summoned, but I can't change it now. Greta didn't ask for her father to be an ass, but she can't change it now. We both want to go home, but we can't. Neither of us even have a place we can call 'home' anymore. All we have left is each other. The least you can do is leave us alone while we suffer together."

Yeowch, not the reaction you expected.
"Do ye like yer summoner?"
"Does it matter? Go away."

Well, Fritelli can't say you didn't try.
