Last time someone had the brilliant idea of handing out a bunch of bandit drugs. Suffice it to say many tripped balls and upon the return of our scavengers they wondered why it looked like a warzone at our base and whats with all the paint bullets and bombs?

We learned a valuable lesson that day...beware bandit drugs and for the love of god don't get them mixed up with the actual medicine, also don't believe the people who claim we saw the future or went back in time. They had an especially intense trip.

Mainly it's looking like poor communication on both sides and I wanted to say something. You have a style and you players seems to be confused about what that style is in full. To my understanding the old guard is wanting long-term strategy civ like Crusader Kings. Making combat lighter and the games more about economic things. Then they voted easy and it seems they didn't understand the full meaning of that.

I understand your style of heroes, but you removing of them should of came with some warnings from the start. Hell even bring up a vote to boost combat to balance things would have been nice.

Hopefully this helps some, I lack time to really type things out on a phone and 4 chan keeps banning me.

Activate: Build
Convert 2 resources into [Materials: Steel, Glass, carious chemical fertilizers such as nitrogen, phosphorous, calcium and sulfur in small amounts]

We are not only going to build an expanded greenhouse, this wil literally be the Potted Plants new home.

It should be constructed under his supervision and dimensions, to be enacted out by the Constructor Core. His position in there will increase the growth of fruits and vegetables which can be harvested.

The excess food will then be given to survivors to aid in restoring our image as per the CEOs concerns.

It's only natural we seek an excess of food to dole out to those who need it. After all, we ARE Custodus.

"Custodus will provide!"

Action 1 - Since the Constructor and the Potted plant are busy, and MC Ninja is doing his own thing, it's time we solved the other issue.

Our bad rep.

As the CEO dictated, so we shall instate it.

Start manufacturing survival equipment. We're Custodus, supplying people with what they need in times of disaster is precisely our speciality.

As well, a lot some of our food.

Then start handing them out to survivors.

ENSURE THIS TIME THAT EVERYTHING IS SAFE. HAVE OUR OWN PEOPLE ACTUALLY TEST THIS STUFF AND DON'T LET ANYTHING OUT THAT IS DANGEROUS.

No death traps. No poison.

Oh, one more thing, hand out some fliers while we're at it. We need to make some business survey's on what our customers need.

See if we can't get the survivors to give us a more detailed list of items they would want the most.

We told the Magitek that his talents would be encouraged here, not surpressed.

At the same time we don't understand magic enough to know its risks or potential side effects.

Have the Magitek make up some designs for his own personal Magitech Laboratory. Where he can have supplies and equipment and subjects to work on his stuff freely. Then have him and his team of magiteks build it under their own supervision. No need for Marty to interrupt unless requested, but we would prefer not exposing him prematurely without understanding any side effects.

Clearly we'll need to put people's faiths in robots another way.

The gifts aren't cutting it, we need to actually help them.

Monsters and zombies seem to be a pest to almost everyone.

Action 1 - We need to reorganize our military, starting with converting the Bandit Vehicles into normal versions. Are they less offensive this way?

Maybe. But our limited military will survive longer that way.

All bandit vehicles were being converted successfully until it was the behemoths turn...that was when things went to hell in a hand basket. In particular it self destructed instead. One big mean ugly plasma, explosive, shrapnel, and radioactive BOOM.

Amazingly enough the Constructor Core was somehow able to shield itself...the other stuff not so much.

WARNING
Our base has been contaminated with radioactives.

Alert
All nonflying vehicles have all been destroyed.

Alert
Our vehicle bay has been destroyed in the explosion.

Alert

Action 1 - This is a GREAT time to try yet another PR stunt.

That is developing specific bio-hazard cleanup bots.

...or how about dealing with two birds and one stone.

We'll do something better than just a janitor robot.

---

Deconstructor Dreadnought Bots.

A multipurpose robot meant for defense, bio-hazard cleanup, and construction.

Essentially heavily armored juggernaut type bot, equipped with multiple layers of thick steel and exotic alloyed armored, and capable of surviving in harsh enviornments and carrying large weights and weapons. It should be well insulated against both energy and kinetic attacks and ecological hazards and chemicas.

It should be equipped with hydraulic claws capable of rendering steel for clearing through rubble or enemy vehicles, making it exceptionally good for scavenging or construction, and if possibble be armed with miniature versions of Marty's construction laser equipment. Perfect for slicing through steel wrecks, or in improvised attacks against vehicles, rendering them to useable scrap.

It will be armed with a heavy thick bulldozer spade. This will allow it to haul large amounts of dirt for construction or contaminated waste, which can then be dumped into containers on mass. As a bonus, it can also act shield to give itself and allies cover from attack.

The cleanup while ongoing is slow going...the radiation wasn't from no ordinary radioactives. Not to mention you ever tried to remove the stuff literally seared by plasma into something? Its a nightmare.

Luckily lot easier for the bots assuming their hardware wasn't completely fried(and needed recycling) one could bring them up online. Sadly that turned out to be only half the bots and the rest will need entirely new recycled hardware. They should all be fixed if we spend another turn on it though.

Marty meanwhile is still in self repair mode. No responses come from approached the armored sphere ever since it opened up to release the saved personnel.

Morty is back online and has some information for us.

"Detected non ordinary human tech within behemoth and technology I suspect to come from robotic sources...most painful combination. Was expecting ordinary perhaps looted technologies."

Repairs have all been completed. Electronics if not fixable were sent to be reprocessed into new ones and replaced the old. The bots were brought back completely online. Now the only thing left is cleanup.

MK has returned! He has brought news and has information.

"Bad news is ghouls are on the way. Good news is the explosion was only big enough to cause the ones in the industrial park to head towards us."

"Bad news is the I overheard from some smart ghouls that the ghouls here are 'especially strong' because of all the fun toxins, heavy metals, radiation, chemicals, and stuff they got to enjoy soaking in. Good news is the smart ghouls don't seem that interested in taking action against us personally. Sadly they don't plan to stop the ferals and even seem to be whipping them into literal shape. Fortunately for us the resulting horde coming at us will be nothing more than varying levels of feral."

"As for other news zombies were attracted to the noise but soon ran into problems. They wont be a severe threat but DO expect their activity around us to increase for a time."

"As for the bandits they plan to take watch and take action if an opportunity presents itself. Especially the raiders apparently they are rather ass blasted we stole their only bad bandit behemoth and then blew it up."

"Sorta took that last part rather hard."

"Other factions meanwhile are wisely getting the fuck out of the way. They don't want to attract any curious zombies or interested ghouls."

"As for monsters..."

"Remember they just offered a single loot?"

"Yeah come to think of it how DO those guys have any loots anyway?"

"Fuck if I know. According to my sources that bunch are weirdos. Supposedly the bandits may finally make a real move against them."

"Figures for playing nice with the bots I was wondering what was taking them so long."

"Its because their weirdos no one was able to get a proper feel for em especially the bandits were confused now thats getting cleared up."

"Well if the bandits don't like them doesn't that mean they could be a friend of ours?"

"That doesn't take much for bandits and besides these guys are robo lovers. So fuck em."

"You and your robo hate."

"Robots aren't human and you any idea the shit they pulled during the Fall?"

"We all heard the stories. So anyone gonna take up the offer?"

"I will make sure to send me some help though I don't trust these assholes of course you will get your cuts."

"We'll just each take a Supply each. You'll get the rest."

"Assuming we get the contract and they actually pay up."

We have received offers of interest and we vetted them until only the best remained they are:

Poirad: Claims they can fix the problem at its roots.
Fiery Force: have much 'exotic' weaponry to handle the issue
Rako Vector: Vehicular slaughter is the way to go.
Arsenal Air: Airsupport away!
Baleful Brigade: A mixed unit force claiming they can handle any problem.

Apparently these groups are all top quality mercs who were available on such short notice.

Focus immediately on cleanup of the Radioactive materials, with continuing repairs on the construction center as secondary.

The less radiatioactive materials that are in our base when the Ghouls arrive, the better.

Burn 1 Common Metals to create some [Lead Walls] to help quarantine the sights, and absorb the radiation during cleanup before it attracts anymore Ghouls.

BATTLE ACTIONS

"It's time to do what we do best, construct improvization!"

Burn [1 Industrial Materials] to create the thickest, heaviest shields we can arm our bots with. Arm them all with these shields, as well as any bandit weapons preferably long ranged, and have some in excess

Use them in organized phalanxes and to make shield walls to give cover to the Vehicles from the Ghoulish weapons. Have some other bots on standby to just carry more excess shields. Whenever a shield or a bot or a vehicle is busted, send it back to be recoventerted while a fresh shield replaces it as part of the defense!

Have some other shielded bots hang on to the underside of our VTOLS. Use them to prevent them from being shot down. The VTOLS can be used to lift vehicle wrecks off the battlefield and back to Marty to be repaired, or to bring up freshly repaired vehicles to the front

Activate: Build. Whenever a bot, shield, or even vehicle is damaged I want it recovered and then restored to fighting condition and returned at once!

Give cover to the mercs, and use the walls to PUSH the ghouls that try to climb the walls off them, smack em hard.

MC Ninja, take any forces you deem as stealth worthy or go solo, use the cover of the phalanxes and sneak past the battlefield find out where that fire is coming from.

Have the artillery we put on the bunkers wait for his signal.

Activate: Cheap Shot! on the enemy fire, this is the signal for our bunker artillery to follow up and open fire and obliterate that enemy covering fire.

Then they can proceed to assist the vehicles forces properly.

Activate: Let's strike a Deal
Offer the bandits ALL our (extensive) Bandit Drugs we have no use for to fight these Ghouls with their artillery and snipers and heavy weapons.

CEO If you're very sure that's not a sweet enough deal, you are free reign to offer them anything we don't already owe the Rako's regarding Food, Water, and Meds and things they can't manufacture.

Tell them to use their Artillery and Firepower to give cover to OUR forces

---

Pray that the enemy artillery stops. or better yet goes against the Ghouls.

These walls are SOLID STEEL. They can handle some flame.

We have above average fuel and can spare some, douse the walls in oil and light em up! Let them slip on the oil and burn. Keep them from climbing our walls!

Activate: Build

At the rate we are losing robots, it's more cost effective to mass produce more rather than focus on replacing them. Switch tactics, the more metal bodies we throw at them the better and the debris they leave behind can be used as cover!

If you can prefabricate yet more wall replacements even if its just giant slabs of steel we can use to weld onto holes and the gate.

In the absolute worse scenario the Ghouls get a hold of the walls everone on top DUCK. Have a VTOL make a sudden flyby and literally toss the Ghouls off the walls by scraping them off it using its flying body. Repeat as necessary.

KEEP RESTORING THE RAKO'S.

CEO was able to make a deal with the bandits but it required the release of their friends and a return of their remaining gear. Some reason they don't want their loot back. In exchange the CEO was able to insure that instead of making them halt their fire but to actually use it against the ghouls. They insist however to not help until we transfer their gear and people over by air. So we had to consume some fuel to do the transfer but true to their word they have commenced firing upon the ghouls.

Walls have been doused in oil and lit on fire...this doesn't stop the ghouls from coming though. Even if their completely on fire they just keep on climbing up. Even worse still those that fall off or die...those behind them are able to even more quickly take their place. They are only really slowed by the ones furthest along who are forging the way through so to speak.

It DID slow them down a bit though but they'll likely make it to the top next turn if something isn't done.

We now have the Rako, The Bandits, and Ourselves fighting on the same team. But we can't just do this willy-nilly we need to recoordinate our defenses.

First we need some breathing space, have our freshly mass produced robotic forces use those new shields of theirs to make a sudden push with their shields and push them off the wall. Give us room! and get them off the walls. Get the Rako closer to our walls.

Have the Rako fall back and regroup with the phalanxes, we need to concentrate and coordinate our forces. Having them closer together means they'll be able to support each other better.

Work with the Bandits on zoning in their artillery properly, we can give them live adjustements of fire and trajectory based on us actually seeing where they land.

With our regrouped forces, coordinate our artillery, the Bandit Artillery, and the Rako, and our helicopters, and create new killzones of interlinked, interarced fire in front of the walls and gate. I want a literall wall or woodchipper of firepower.

Activate: Build - Ensure that this concentration of firepower is sustained via immediate production of ammunition, as well as more robots.

We can use their numbers to disadvantage, group them up and gun them down as they try to push forward.

Despite their much greater strength relying upon our number and formation we were able to successfully able to push off the first wave of ghouls of the way. Some of them fell all the way down while the rest were able to grab a hold of something, but now things are starting to intensify on the walls as the ghouls concentrate and climb up each other.

The Rako refuse your orders and continue as what they are doing. Which is mostly strafing and hit then run tactics.

Artillery has been sighted however we do not possess enough fire power to completely cover the front of the walls and gate. Its rather scattered instead but where it does hit it certainly counts blowing the ghouls back or away.

We need melee robots able to rip the ghouls shreds so the bodies don't pile.

We need Shredder Bots."

Activate: BUILD
Use our weapons: Calibrated Tools to gather up chainsaws, buzzsaws, cutting blades, claws, everything sharp and pointy. Even use some spare Helicopter blades and engines.
Use some [Rare materials] we need them to be physically stronger material than the average bot.

Make them in such a way that they're spinning masses of blades and cutting tools, so that the more the Ghoulies try to swarm em they only get chopped up to bits.

We need to deploy them in as much number as we can, on the walls and the gates. Cut them down when they try to climb or just throw them like buzzsaws into the strong ghouls.

Even if we lose them unlike the shield bots they'll damage the Ghouls while being destroyed thanks to the cutting tools and spikes. Everytime they try to grab or rip and tear them they'll be gripping onto moving blades and saw.

The more we throw at them even if they're destroyed they'll thin the horde and cut through the bodies!

And keep making more phalanx bots to cover them from ranged. They can coordinate that way, Shields up against Ranged, and then the Shredders against Melee.

CEO has used credentials!

Found schematic for shredder bot. Its mostly intact but its an industrial pattern. Still though it gives us something to go on.

Shredder bots have been constructed with rare industrial materials which makes them especially strong.

Acquired R Class Industrial type shredder bots.

When we deployed it turned out they were the longest lasting yet! Though they DID end up eventually getting overwhelmed turns out they can get jammed and some ghoulies are just that tough...

Our attempts to make the ghouls come at us by melee or range sadly failed. The ghouls apparently would target whatever they could find. This meant we lost a few shredder bots to ghoulish gunfire and our phalanxes were getting swarmed with melee ghouls.

We will NOT lose this gate!

Above all cost we need to keep them out there.

By hook or crook or improvisation we will hold the line.

Get a giant forge cast, the one that holds lots of molten steel like most factories would have and start melting some metal into it quickly!

Get a VTOL to come in and dump it directly onto the front of the gate. The molten steel will not only be impossible to tear through, but it will also burn Ghouls and when it cools freezes them in metal AND creates metal seals over our damaged gate.

"Marty we just need a little more time! Find some additional materials or do absolutely anything you can to delay those strong ghouls from breaking in through the gate."

Activate: BUILD. More Gate Supporting Structure

MK Ninja!

While the Strong Ghouls are distracted and slowed by molten metal from the sky I need you to activate:sneak attacks and start killing them. Aim for their heads, kill them, and then those tough bodies of theirs encased in steel will make PERFECT statues blocking the way of the rest of the Horde.

--

Meanwhile we need to keep thinning out the horde as much as possible. Our blessing is the ability to produce while we fight thanks to manufacturing, they can only lose troops. With more than half their Horde gone and only the strong ones left at this rate even losing 1 or two bots per Ghoul is cost effective as well we can reduce their cohesion

Keep mass producing more shredders and use VTOLs and Choppers to deliver them by and scatter them onto the battlefield directly onto the horde. We can drop them on any sighted groups of ghouls with guns cause them to have to focus them fire on the spinning bots of death, buying precious time .

Use them to directly support the Rako via airdrops of bots on anything targeting them, distracting the Ghouls to focus on them and allowing the Rako to keep up the fight.

We still have 1 Loot and 5 Supplies as an ultimate fallback to still meet our quota, and so far we've only been using materials instead of resources as much as possible, since we have like a ton of them .

Molten metal prepared and dumped. Sadly it doesn't do much to stop the ghouls. Sure we can get the ones outside the gatehouse with it but those who are inside and tearing at the gates are nicely covered up. So they don't even care while the screams of their lesser brethren coming from behind.

Constructor Core has prepared another unit of metal in front of the door.

MK Ninja denies orders claiming its impossible to get inside and it would likely be a suicide mission. So many strong ghouls in such close confines? Fuck no, he ain't no martial master and thats assuming you can get through the big ass pissed off pile of ghouls in front of the gatehouse.

You do not have enough actions for the second part of the plan.

DENIED.

Alert Ghouls are stalling on the walls.

Alert
Ghouls are now concentrating on the material beyond the gate and starting to make their way through it.

I suggest a flanking manoevre. While the Gouls are attacking the gate, we launch a couple helicopters with heavy weapons to circle around and turn the confined area into a kill zone.
>>
>>42204789
Not a bad idea. We could also ask the Rako to come up.

Right now I'm just trying to organize my thoughts.

We have them in the gatehouse, confined in closed quarters, if there was only a way we could use that.

I'm considering drilling a hole in the to of the gatehouse to try and bury them alive in molten metal and then flash freeze it with water.

Alternatively>>42204645 has a point about building a giant gun or something behind the gate for when they bust through.

...or maybe a giant woodchipper.
>>
Rolled 98 (1d100)

>>42204919
woodchipper could work, we have shredder bots already. In a situation like this where there's a mass of bodies pushing forward, we might be able to trick them - make some kind of smokescreen when they break through, and just have the gouls' rear ranks push their front ranks through a shredder funnel.

But that would probably be a last resort. We can set up shredders and smoke bombs for if the gouls break through, and try to thin their numbers as much as possible with helicopters and corp weapons.
>>
Rolled 64 (1d100)

>>42205196
Or maybe we bring the shredder to them.

>>42204437
We cannot hold them at the gate indefinitely or forever. These Strong Ghouls are our last obstacle, and they will make us or break us.

The gate will fall and either they break us or we break them.

We HAVE to break them.

"Marty, our accident cost us one giant vehicle. . .but I think this is your chance to replace it."

Construct the Dozer-Killer Breakthrough Super Tank, or the DK-BST.

A breakthrough frontal assault vehicle.

It's front will be a heavily armored spade of high grade metal 2 feet thick, and integrated with Industrial-Grade Megacorps Shredder meant for shredding tanks and buildings, because that's exactly the kind of thing we need right now.

Normally we'd use it to puncture through thick walls such as our base or mountains for mining, but in this case Strong Ghouls wil more than suffice.

The Chasis will be constructed on a high-traction treaded platformed armed with auxiliary industrial grade hydraulic legs, allowing both traction from caterpillar treads and legs to push it forward with incredible force and pressure.

Whatever guns, cannons, or ranged weaponry that are lying scattered about that we can spare should be placed within concrete and steel pilboxes.

The entirety of the tank itself should be covered with deployable buzzsaws and blades that if are somehow jammed or blocked can be shot out via explosives like giant buzzsaw cannon, while a fresh blade falls into place to replace it.

ACTIVATE BUILD:
Use [1 Rare Building Materials] for the armored chasis and [2 Rare Metals] for the industrial grade megacorps shredder.

Fair. It just we need fighters to help us sooner than later.

With bandits they will be cool with the bots. We can give them food and water. Plus we can upgrade their buildings for them. Maybe we can even guide them to be alright people.

Yet your right about that dam rep. Maybe if we made weapons we could trade with military people to get them. Yet we also got to be able to hold our own till the deals are made...
>>
>>42207545
I doubt we'll ever be able to hold our own for a long time, not until we get some proper weapons.

We barely survived this battle with huge monetary spending of materials and resources (did get a new bot varient at least) but like the Ghouls mentioned we are weak.

I mean, those were just dumb ferals and strong ferals, not even organized ghouls (though they did have weapons).

In any case, we just need more allies. Allies with military experience.

Also thank god this is easy-mode because the game is still hard as fuck, but it's at a level we can survive. Unless we become virtual gods of war and strategy as players dwarfing Rommel and Alexander this is probably the mode we should stick to for a long time.

Action 1 - Ghouls always loot battlefields when they're done, just like bandits, even without Reavers.

Still, even if they picked everything clean that also means they've killed and driven away a lot of the local pests and dangers, so that means we get to exploit the vacuum while it's still around.

Might even find those hidden things the Magitek wanted.

That is simply because they stick around to eat the bandits and naturally have a good chance to grab their shit.

Not to mention bandits have access to a special unit known as 'looters' who are fantastic at it granted they are rather weak...until they become elites. All that time being weak gets paid back with interest.

bah meant to eat the bodies who are not necessarily bandits. They don't have any looting skills is just their sticking around to eat bodies warrants them more time to loot stuff.

Reaver is a special classification they don't actually have a upgrade path but they DO have requirements to acquire it. Real tough and extremely hard requirements too at that.

I thought it was like resources would be some scrap or parts deemed useful and thrown in bulk, while materials would be melting that down and collecting steel or plastic as a pure material.

Action 1 -
Pay the Poirad 2 Resources for both cleanup and removal of contaminants AND an extra 1 resources plus excess food to boost our relations with them and mercs in general.

Marty, CEO, we need designs for a proper bio-fuel plant. Thanks to the potted plant we have a steady influx of grown organic material, and if we can convert that into biofuel not only can we sell it but we'll also be able to give some to mercs.

Except that was on normal and triggered and immediate paramilitary attack which I DO NOT WANT TO SEE HAPPEN IN ANY SHAPE OR FORM ANYTIME SOON

>>42210630
"Will the mercs care?

Also can give us a price including discount for offering bot samples and copies of viruses?"
>>
>>42210666
Maybe.

You would have to ask on the radio waves which would decrease your rep. The magitek only knows they offer discounts with that sorta thing.

I think we have a more Subtle Way.

Have MK Ninja sneak the CEO again to the bandits.
Activate: Strike a Deal

Let's see what price we can get for what we need.

Hopefully they're still low on ammo.

"Hm so let me get this straight you want US to deal with your rampancy AND virus plague problem?"

"Yes...we'll let you take samples."

"The fuck kind of old world systems were you digging around in? Bah fine we'll take the job for 10 resources and said samples."

"Don't have that much."

"Hm...fine 5 resources and material of both common as well as rare."

"Deal."

Five resources transferred.
1 common metal
1 rare metal
1 plastic
1 glass

Tek bandits are on the way towards our base to 'fix' the problem.

Rep loss acquired.

Okay, we can survive this.

Action - For now everyone hunker down, stay indoors, don't approach a robot except for Marty, and let's just work on figuring out the bio-fuel design that we can use to boost our rep.

The bandits seemed to be having a hard time making progress until they started using weapons capable of taking down one of our bot warriors with a single shot. Merely disabling them allowing them to close in and fix the issues.

After that they piled all the fixed bots in the pile while they slowly made their way around the base digging around the electronics. Very organized and methodical breaking up the base into grids and clearing them out.

It seems like its gonna take them some time to get all done though.

Meanwhile our own forces hunkered down create a plan for a crude biofuel refinery. Had not much better to do especially given all the electronics were forcefully shutdown and power connections torn out by the tekbandits.

Morty for his part parked his fat ass over at the construction center making sure the rampant bandits couldn't fuck with it while the rest of our military personnel were scattered around key areas that we couldn't afford them reaching.

Action 1 -
Let our smarties continue to research the bio-fuel plant.

While this waits, I think we should give the Potted Plant some attention.

"So we were thinking, this is a desert and water is much more valuable than food.

But what if we were to make it so that everytime we gave food, we also gave hydration?

Watermellons, apples, oranges, pomegranates, the ones you bite into and smile because it's sweet and tasty and most of all. Also lemonade.

Refreshing. It will help boost our reputation!

Think you can do that, say, with some further greenhouse expansion?

Because we're also going to need even more organic material very soon."

Acquired schematic hi grade biofuel refinery+. A blueprint containing the plans of a plant that can produce a lot of quality of varying qualities/grades biofuel.

Bandits meanwhile continue their operations and apparently have gotten the hang of things considering their greatly increased speed compared to last time. It shouldn't take much longer before they finish up.
