Hestia has asked you to remain behind for something and since you do not really have a reason to refuse her, you wait for the others to leave Hestia’s monitor room while reading up on the status of the two cities.

Completed research

>Dragon scales – The research into the scales has made Hestia very happy as your current level of material sciences already allows you to surpass their toughness. New enchantments available: immunities to acid, fire, cold and electricity.

>Absorption fields – Absorption fields work by attempting to draw power to the shields from high energy or magical attacks. Allows force fields to regenerate when struck by such impacts.

>Deflection fields – Rather than trying to stop an attack, deflection fields attempt to redirect incoming forces away from what they are protecting. Increase the chance of ranged attacks missing.

Ongoing research

Ethereal lasers
Photon distortion
Matter creation system

Important notes

>Prisoners – The redesign of the prison to maximize effectiveness of the goat figurine has the prisoners slowly cracking. Soon they will be talking to get away from the goat.

>Demons – A group of demons is demanding to see Queen Tslah, their long necks indicate some possible relation but they are being very secretive and belligerent.

“There is one final thing that is not listed,” Hestia states once the others are well and truly gone, “Final configurations of the first suit of power armor are complete.”

“Are you happy with the final results?” you ask her.

“It’s for you so you’ll have to judge the results,” Hestia tells you, “I was unsure what weapon system you would prefer so I created several. Would you like to see it?”

“Not yet, I need to finish preparing something first,” You tell Hestia and her avatar flickers.

“Is this related to Ayla’s previous comments?” She asks you.

“She is not very good at keeping a secret,” you comment when makes her blue avatar change in hue ever so slightly.

“When you are ready then please come to this location,” Hestia displayed a map for you.

“It shouldn’t take too long,” you tell her.

The trip back to your mansion’s study is surprisingly devoid of encounters, only a few goblins calling out chief as you walk back.

You collect all your data and materials for your projects and make haste to a bio lab. Again the city seems strangely empty, either things are just going good for you right now or something is happening.

It takes a couple minutes to find a bio lab equipped with time dilation but once inside you set it to maximum and get to work. The computers take a bit of coaxing to grow the body around the cybernetics you’ve prepared, and the worst part is you have no means of knowing for sure if everything is connected perfectly until Hestia connects to the body.

When finished you have a replica of the virtual reality avatar that Hestia designed, you won’t say it is a perfect copy since you were working from memory, but it feels the same as it did in virtual reality.

Right, clothes, you clean off the bio tank fluid and get the body dressed, women’s clothing is much easier to remove than put on.

Its only when you’re maneuvering the body into your backpack do you wish you thought of some means of transporting it ahead of time.

Hestia’s avatar immediately appears on a small monitor next to the door to where the power armor is being kept when you arrive.

“Your preparations are complete then?” She asks and the door opens.

“I believe so.”

Inside the room a cylinder rises from the floor revealing what looks like a skin tight black suit.

“I was also unsure how much armor you wanted so I created a modular design,” Hestia says, “this is just the interface suit.”

You will be unable to wear anything under that suit if you put it on.

“I have something here for you as well,” you tell Hestia.

You set your backpack on the ground and reach inside to pull the newly made body out.

Once you’ve fully pulled the body out it suddenly gasps, breathing for the first time. Its eyes lock onto yours as it shivers experiencing the most basic sensations organic life feels on a regular basis.

“I too was unsure how much you wanted,” you say, “so I set up a sensor system that is more comparable to what you already use.”

She chokes on some residual fluid as she tries to operate the organic body, then she makes some strange sounds, testing how to vocalize perhaps.

“Take your time,” you tell her as you set the body on the ground allowing her to stand on her own, “we don’t know the effect of the physical sensations translating to you are yet.”

“I am unable to speak through the body right now, it is difficult to use vocal cords properly,” Hestia eventually says over the speakers, “but thank you.”

She spends a few moments making jerky inhuman movements testing all the muscle groups to see if they are operational.

“Is everything working properly?” You ask her.

“All connections are functional, but more tests should be preformed,” Hestia says.

She suddenly embraces and kisses you.

She has made it pretty clear that this is exactly what she’s been wanting so rather than stopping it, you embrace her as well.

_____________________________________________________________________________________

You’re positive that she figured out how to negate the sense of fatigue somehow, it is just not normal –

“And so you see, feedback errors for the neural transfer device have been resolved,” Hestia thinks to you.

“The ‘feedback errors’ right, you also have upgraded the connection to enable a virtual reality presence.” you think back to her.

“It was necessary to complete the armor.”

“That was unrelated to the armor.”

“I needed to do something more since you brought two projects to me.”

You just drop that subject, no point in arguing about it.

“So what other things can this suit do?”

“I have prepared a few different interchangeable possibilities for you.”

List of specifications for power armor
------------------------------

Each level of increase from the interface suit will provide a bonus of +10 damage reduction and + 50 health as well as a penalty of -5 to stealth. All power armor is maximally enchanted with all possible effects. Due to your understanding of gravity all suits except the interface have the ability to fly.

Interface suit - Unable to equip power armor weapons. 0 weapon slots

Light armor - Unable to equip power armor weapons. 3 weapon slots

Medium armor - Unable to equip standard weapons. 5 weapon slots

Heavy armor - 7 weapon slots + Gattai ability, can temporally fuse with other suits of power armor to create something larger and more powerful.

Ultra heavy armor - 10 weapon slots + Able to equip a super weapon.
------------------------------

“Of course more weapons for platforms of this size will need to be created,” Hestia mentions.

I'd like to get our actual computers skill maxed out to do this, but we can probably do some maintence/upgrades to her.

Pff, the interface should be the gattai one so we can have hestia fly the other suits to us in a tough fight, and we progressively merge into Light, then medium, then heavy, then ultraheavy to get more and more formidable

>>
“I’ll start with the medium, get a feel for how things work fist,” You tell Hestia.

Machinery whirrs around you as the interface suit is integrated into the armor.

“The basic load out I’ve prepared for this armor should be suitable to your standard way of fighting,” Hestia explains.

You are jolted back and forth a bit as the suit of armor connects to the interface and seals around you.

A heads up display forms in front of your eyes, you see that you have two missile pods, a set of retractable blades on the arms, a massive sword and a rifle labeled PA-x-1. There is a dedicated section to show the suit’s condition as well.

>Suit status – 100/100 structure, 20/20 shield, providing 20 standard units of damage mitigation

With the interface suit connecting you to the armor all you have to do is move your body and the suit moves with you. The suit picks up a mass of energy and you turn to face whatever it is.

>43

“I have prepared targets for you to test the suits abilities with,” Hestia’s avatar appears in your HUD.

A large setup of stationary and mobile drones now fills the room, you draw the suits sword, it is a monofilament blade, impossibly thin and glowing with magic.

You leap at the targets to tear them apart with the sword but it’s balance throws you off a bit at the speed you suddenly accelerate to so you accidentally destroy the targets by slamming into them.

“I must recommend not ramming your targets in the future,” Hestia comments.

You try moving a bit more slowly to get the hang of the sword. You don’t need to put much weight behind your swings its super thin and sharp edge just slices through anything.

There is a roar of flame as the missile pods burst open and then explosions release bursts of sound, fire, ice and lightning all around you.

Most of the target drones have been utterly annihilated. The arm blades appear to be more or less identical to the sword, just mounted to the arms and meant for closer range.

You mop up the remaining targets with the rifle, no it’s a rail gun you discover when shooting it. The slugs that it fires ignite the atmosphere from their speed alone.

“I hope you are satisfied with the results,” Hestia says as the armor is taken off of you.

After you are done changing back into your normal clothes Hestia’s new organic body walks up to you.

She touches your face and tries to say something that just comes out as garbled noise. She looks frustrated and begins to run through the phonetic sounds of letters to continue her practice speaking with the body.

“It’s time for the other upgrade now,” you say and she replies by nodding.

On your way to the monitor room you notice that the way she moves is very rigid, every movement is precisely what is needed to perform an action. Something to work on to better pass as a human perhaps.

(1/2)
>>
(2/2)

When you arrive at the monitor room the body goes dormant and she lights up the screen with her avatar.

“There are truly an inordinate number of pointless stimuli that must be processed for a task as simple as walking,” Hestia notes.

“Like what?”

“Hunger, thirst, alterations in cardiovascular activity based on proximity to you, haptic feedback, bio chemical responses, etc. ” Hestia drones on, “the simple elegance of robotic design is superior in many ways.”

“You don’t need to use the body if you don’t want to.”

“No, it will just take time to adjust to it that is all,” Hestia says as she exposes her core to you, the organic body moves once more, lays its hand on your shoulder and smiles, “we can work together now.”

It takes a while to upgrade the old system without deactivating her completely, temporary pathways needed to be created to maintain her presence while you tear out the old obsolete wires and replace them with newly designed monofilaments.

“I feel significantly superior now,” Hestia says when you finish and her body hugs you, “thank you.”

“You should take all the time you need then,” you tell her, “no need to rush things along.”

“Yes learning how to speak is proving to be more difficult than I expected,” Hestia agrees, “Knowing how organic systems work is much different than trying to handle the inefficiencies in real time.”

“While you practice I should see what is going on with the demons, Queen Tslah may know something.”

“That would be, an effective course of action,” Hestia says, but her body gives you a disapproving glare. Sure she can do that but not talk.

You get to the secure Quarters where Tslah is staying so you can see what is going on.

“Ah, what a pleasant surprise,” Tslah appears to just be leaving when you arrive, “I was just going to sharpen my claws, come please join me.”

“Do you really need help with that?” you ask her, “I can’t say I’ve sharpened claws before.”

“It is just a figure of speech, I am currently as you humans say a clean slate.”

“Still feeling out the limits of your body then?” You ask her while you walk with her outside with her servant and a number of drones following behind.

“Yes, to have been healed after so long, I do not know how strong I am.”

“Time is all you need, the limitations you feel should be nothing more than mental blocks.”

“This is true, but you did not come to see me only to check up on my health, there is something more.”

“A group of demons have been demanding your presence,” you pull out your laptop and hope Hestia has already taken pictures, “the leader of the group looks like this.”

“Yes, it is in hell, easy enough to go to. Who is it though?”

She takes a moment to breathe, “Pardon my loss of composure, that is the one who betrayed me and left me for dead inside the hibernation chamber.”

“Are you showing me this to have me take care of it, or are you offering to once again lend me your aid?” Tslah asks expectantly.

“Well their group is making a ruckus in the city there so I’ll help you,” you tell her which makes her visibly relax.

“Thank you, I know none other than my one follower who could assist me,” Tslah says, “so your assistance in this matter is much appreciated.”

Your group changes directions and follows the drones as they make a path to the portal to hell.

“So then this betrayer is the one who hurt you before you were sealed away?” You ask.

“Yes, a knife in each hand across the neck,” Tslah tells you, “As your image captured he is a lower cast so he lacks the elegance of bladed hands and on top of that he is a deformed monstrosity. It is only by the protection of my father that he lived, and then to betray me like that is a grave insult.”

An interesting story but just one half of it, perhaps you should speak with this other demon after all just to see what actually happened. It has been five hundred years by their estimation, it might not even be the same demon as Tslah remembers.

“I see you have secured your portal well,” Tslah comments when you pass through the mirror to hell, “and on the other side a palace, So you do control two cities.”

She runs her claws gently over the architecture and statues as you walk through the city, following the drones to the meeting. Silence hangs over your group as you all think on just what it is that will be done.

“Waiting waiting waiting, that is all you tell me to do!” The demon is yelling at the display screen on a drone when you arrive at the meeting spot. Its once of Hestia’s park projects, and their seem to be a little too many demons around.

“Traitor, you dare seek me out?” Tslah demands of him, and he descends into cackling laughter.

“The rumor were true, the queen still lives,” he stalks towards your group quickly, “but not for long!”

Four knives cackling with electricity appear in his hands and he dives at Tslah.

Repeatedly.

He seems a bit confused that nothing is happening.

So you lift him up by his long neck, “I just told you no violence outside the arena, and you try it anyways?”

All the demons around you have a sudden shift in hostilities. Not just random demons wandering about a park but hired assassins, fantastic, there are at least fifty demons now coming to kill you.

“Attacking the ruler of the city and his guests is a capital offense!” You announce to the demon assassins, but they don’t seem to care. A show of force then perhaps?

>50 vs highest dc 50

Long necks are an obvious design flaw, yes that is something Hestia would think, so you go to snap it. No that would be too easy, you dig your fingers into the demon’s body and tear it in half, you can’t even feel a soul orb in the corpse he was so pathetic. You throw the two halves at a pair of demons that are building up some sort of magic, the demon mages are unable to withstand the impact and explode into clouds of gore.

A group of five ninja spider demon things emerge from the shadow of a nearby building and throw all sorts of weapons at your group. You feel so light and fast in normal gravity though so you grab the weapons from midair and send them right back them much faster than they could throw them.

A demon bursts forth from the ground to attack the queen but finds your hand plunging into his back instead. You then tear the demon’s spine out and throw it at a demon that took flight and is creating orbs of fire. A spine spear through the brain is enough to kill most things, and sure enough it tumbles from it air completely dead.

A bigger demon swipes at you with claws ablaze with hellfire, but it completely misses you. You then tear its heart out and it watches as its own heart still beats outside its body before dying.

Hestia has the drones take up a defensive screen around the Queen her servant, but it is no longer necessary all the demon assassins are focused on you alone.

>tfw I raise dc by 5 for all demons rushing you at once, you just roll higher. Ok then.

The remaining demon gang up on you, with these numbers you may need to use your feet too.

>57 vs highest dc 55

Three demons come at you in a straight line, you kick at their heads. The first demon’s head explodes and remaining demons are decapitated.

You reach out and grab a demon from either side of you and slam them together head first, their bones shatter as their rib cages twist together.

Dropping the corpse you cave a demon’s face in with your elbow on the back swing, then another gets its head pulped by your fist.

It’s less of a fight and more like a blender, the demons leap in swinging weapons and claws then assorted body parts come flying back out. When the bloody mist clears from the air you realize that there is only one demon assassin left alive. The blood around you begins to glow and the corpses start twitching.

A wave of foul magic rises up from the corpses it is clear that its target is you.

>20 vs dc ???

This mage has been preparing the spell since the start of you killing all the demons, the sacrifice of blood is more than enough to fuel something you have no chance at resisting. The power of the demonic magic pulses through the entire area.

Nothing happens.

The mage is struggling to channel the power properly, not that isn’t it. Rather the mage is being consumed by the magic. The blood inside his body is drawn out into a swirling orb killing him in the process. The magic probes around trying to find an outlet and settles back on the corpses that the mage tried to use as fuel in the first place.

The swirling orb of blood grows larger and larger as the magic collects all the spilt blood in the area, it even pulls the drying blood off of you cleaning you off completely.

The orb of blood pulses with magic.

Tentacles of blood lash out from the surface as the magic settles on a few form, a hungry form, a form in search of more blood.

You charge up a spell and unleash lightning on the horrible creature as you rush forward to punch it.

>Double 37

The electricity, holy energy and wind from your lighting blow the creature apart, but it reforms as though nothing even happened, the dense magic that formed it forcing it to regenerate.

It slurps and gurgles angrily at you.

So you punch it and try to drain it of its life and mana, you pull mana out to recover that which you lost from the spell but it doesn’t seem to be effecting the creature while the magic is healing it.

The creature responds by engulfing you within the mass of blood, it pushes at your body trying to find some way to drain your blood out.

The incomprehensible nature of the mass of blood is starting to aggravate you, so you charge up your mana and become one with the void.

The creature no longer seems so incomprehensible, it is nothing.

Everything is nothing.

You can hear the distant whispers of the elements, they no longer crowd your mind trying to gain entry.

The creature stops trying to draw your blood out it can’t sense your existence right now.

It starts to head towards the closest source of blood, the Queen and her servant.

So you detonate a mass of lightning right on top of yourself.

Threads of un-reality squirm over you instead though.

Where the creature is touched it no longer exists.

The mass of reality removing energy is growing and growing.

Tiny pieces of the creature are trying to reform and seek blood.

The city is unmade by your presence as well.

Long gashes form where your threads touch the ground, erasing it from having ever existed.

Queen and arena champ rolled high enough to escape, lucky

You release the spell before you do even more damage to the city, as soon as you do the carnage that you wrought comes to the forefront. You quickly search around to find Tslah to see if she survived your attack.

The queen and the arena champion are still being protected by drones just outside the area you erased from existing. No not drones, a drone with half of its chassis gone. That was a close one you nearly killed them both, and if she could sense it Hestia would mad about her drones being lost.

The tiny mass of blood is still alive though and it gurgles happily now that it notices you are closer to it than its old targets were.

It heads right towards you to try and draw your blood out.

You charge up your mana and unleash a blast of frigid ice at the monstrosity. With a howl of wind another blast of ice forms and with a crackly of electricity even more ice streaks towards the creature.

>43

A triple blast of wind, holy light, electricity and ice makes the slurping and gurgling mass of blood freeze instantly. You can sense that whatever demonic magic held it together has faded and the creature is dead.

The arena champion looks terrified of you and Tslah is deep in thought when you finish the creature off.

“Those blood summons are usually not killed by anything,” Tslah decides to say after a while.

“It didn’t go as expected, it all worked out in the end,” You say.

“I have never seen nor heard of anyone that can control the void in such a manner,” she says, “normally something breaks in the mind of those who dabble with it turning them insane.”

“It doesn’t seem that bad to me,” you tell her, “the whispering voices get annoying but they didn’t bother me at all this time.”

She doesn’t speak any more still thinking on something, so you return to the goblin city in silence.

We can put them in the colleseum for everyone to admire.

>we bring Max to the arena to finally fight one day

>we have paintings of him being defeated each time prior
>>
>>42390098
>in all of them Reggie is just in the background yawning
>>
>>42390118
>for some reason, Max's face is always slightly wrong in each picture, not enough to be a real difference, but noticeable enough for Max
>>
>>42390232
Even worse for max would probably be each picture being photorealistic and an absolute masterpiece compositionally.
And each and every painting has our signature on the bottom. In a flowing cursive equally as impressive and beautiful as the picture itself.
>>
>>42390318
Or we could make everything but max an absolute masterpiece, while he's just a stick figure
>>

>"I-Impossible! You merely took a picture and signed it!"

>Reggie proceeds to speed-paint the very situation they are in, with a very bored looking Reggie standing in front of a dumb-founded Max

>When Reggie steps back and looks at Max, it's the very same scene
>>
>>42390372
>Reggie paints a picture of something that will happen five seconds after max looks at the picture, from max's perspective
>Five second later it comes true in every fucking detail

>the demons are actually genuinely interested in this, despite the lack of death-murder

Oh sweet lord.

My sides breh

We should really do some low oxygen cardio, I'd rather we not end up having muscles so large we can't actually move. Gotta limit the gains with cardio

Pretty sure physically we wont get bigger or smaller than when Reggie died.

And he was probably built like the Rock.
>>

"Hulking beast of a man"
P'huge
Also stop acting like the rock is peak human, he's no where near
>>
>>42390805
I'm not.

He's a good balance between buff and swole, especially when he bulked up recently.

He is also actually a pretty big dude.

You may also wish to note that "peak human" isn't the same as "hulking beast of a man".
>>
>>42390836
Yes, hulking beast of a man is bigger, considering Reggie was super-human before we died in some area
>>
>>42390879
And unless Reggie was built like those guys who puff themselves up with saline or whatever, he wasn't as strong as his stats implied.

What are your standards for his description, because it would seem you have inhuman expectations.
>>

>he wasn't as strong as his stats implied
Well gee what the fuck are the stats even there for you nigger.
And what the fuck do you mean by standards?
>>
>>42390983
For giving a number to his abilities. And since he was apparently a normal ass human being, he couldn't be a stick figure who could lift cars.

What the fuck do YOU mean? What do you think Reggie looked like, in terms of size, and physicality, to fit the description of "a hulking beast of a man"? Do you think he looked like "The Mountain" from "Game of Thrones" or did he look like Tom Hanks if Hanks put on more muscle?

Describe Reggie for me. Not his hair color or any of that shit. Give me a concrete description of what you think the descriptors used for him mean.
