You are Sergei Boystov, pilot of the stolen Super Mech RB-01 Cognis.

The day after your raid on the Peace Keeper base you receive new instructions from Sang.

"My government is growing concerned over the increasing fire we are coming under and wish to wrap this operation up quickly. They have come up with a plan to extract the Cognis while the Peace Keepers are on the back foot."

"And what would that involve?"

"An engineering team has been dropped into the southern tip of Aldite, right now everybody expects us to go straight for
the Greunian Border. We will rendezvous with the engineers in Aldite and get the railgun repaired, finally we will head for a nearby airport where a heavy cargo plane will we waiting to air lift us out."

"I hope this isn't going to come out of our final payment."

"Rest assured Mr. Boystov your final payment will be quite cosiderable. I think you should be focused on staying alive long enough to spend it."

A day later you cross the border with Aldite, the border patrols were light and relatively easy to slip past. You breifly wonder if the Zanvrans were pulling some strings behind the scenes. If they were then they were taking a huge risk.

You receive an encrypted transmission from a forest at the foot of a nearby mountain: The signal from the engineering team, you adjust your course accordingly. Finally after trudging through the forest you see a Warden class mech and mobile server farm decloak in the woods. Soldiers come out of hiding and begin to unfold a hastily erected repair arm from it's camoflagued pit.

Another transmission comes over the com:
"Stand next the repair arm, we need to make this quick."

An hour passes without incident as the engineering team feverishly works on the railgun. You occupy yourself staring at the sensor scope, so far nothing. Maybe the repairs would be completed without incident, maybe you'd finally given all of your persuers the slip. You open a comm channel to the Warden.

"How much longer do you think this will take?"

"At least another hour. This railgun of yours is something else, lots of parts whose relationship we don't quite understand. Even now we've only just begun making some stop gap repairs to get basic functionality back."

You sigh in resignation. "Well fine. I appreciate whatever you can do. Even just being able to fire this thing in normal mode again would be a massive help."

A blip appears on your sensor, you snap your attention back to the scope and focus...nothing. Must have been an anomally or something... There it was again. You've seen this before.

"Disengage the arm and prepare for combat, we have incoming stealth units!"
