Hello Elegan/tg/entlemen and Fa/tg/uys alike, last night I started a thread speaking of starting a StarWars Quest Thread and what /tg/ would like to see, counting up the results and deciding what I would actually enjoy doing I present to you, The Star Wars Humble Beginnings Quest! Follow my twitter @CrucibleCM to keep in contact.

The Devaronian across from you at the table reaches forward and takes the credits from the center of the poorly lit Sabacc Table, he does so with a cold smirk carved into his face. Another hand lost, and with it your debt feels heavier. You think to yourself though, what more is there to do on this backwater world beside whoring, gambling, and getting up to no good while waiting for the next job to come your way? Ylesia is a very important location to those who are worried with the production, transportation, and business of spice, you're none of these in particular, merely one who follows the promise of credits.

Speaking of which, you look down to realize you haven't many left, hardly enough to afford a meal tonight, and buying into the next hand would take that from you. While if you lost, tonight wouldn't be the first night you've gone to be hungry, you don't know of any jobs that need doing so you hesitate when the Devaronian, a Bith, and a young Chiss woman all buy in. They look at you waiting for your response.

What do you do?
>Buy into the next hand
>Excuse yourself and head over to the counter to order some food
>Excuse yourself and head home

"I'm in," you say, and the squat rusty dealer droid deals you in.

If we can't reach consensus soon, I'll happily change my vote from Trandoshan to Kaleesh. They are on the same level of cool for me.

I'd be able to accommodate that, unfortunately they are a little too aye for my preference but I swear I'll try to make it work!

I worded that poorly I meant ''I would vote for them but they are butt ugly lizards that don't speak basic and aren't genocidal space serbs''

I think the Wookies would like to speak to you about just how genocidal the Tradoshan species is...

"The name is Dossoxss," you say as you are dealt in, time to hope for the best you think to yourself.

The game plays out and the Chiss Woman is becoming friendlier and her cheeks appear purple as she continues to drink, the Devaronian continues in his cocky demeanor, and the Bith simply sits humming to itself.

Roll 1d10, first two are used to determine the result.

The Devaronian asks,"So Dossoxss, what brings you to Ylesia?

The Chiss pipes up,"You're never offworld long enough to be a spice runner, in fact I've never seen you at the ports."

What do you say?

>>
>>42644247
>>42644260
>>42644288
>>42644291
You break even, not losing anything, nor gaining anything either.

"I'm here for work, I follow the credits. Cold hard credits my friends. Speaking of which, anyone know of any work going? I could use a gig."

The Bith stops humming, it looks you up and down seizing you up if you would, after squinting he begins humming again and buys in.

Devaronian looks at the Chiss woman, "Depends if you're after the sort of work Illiana here does or not." He says her name with a wink and a nod.

Illiana slams the table, "How many times do I have to tell you Drax, I don't don't whore about. That was a rumor started by the Corellian man I turned down after he bought me enough grog to make a Gamorrean stumble." She sits down and looks your way, "I run with the crew of the Jolly and her crew, we could use another gun, last one got lynched by some sith troopers, running his mouth to the wrong crowd or something." She laughs, "Any good with a blaster?"

Do you buy in, if so roll 1d10, same as before.
What do you say?
>>
Rolled 6 (1d10)

>>42644388
If the credits are right. What's the work and hows the pay?

>Buy in.
>>
Rolled 10 (1d10)

>>42644388
Intrested whats the work & the pay?

>Buy in
>>
>>42644419
Damn son, looks like our ability to bargain for pay just got a little better.
>>
>>42644411
>>42644419
You doubled your steak, you now have 22 credits

"Well I'm interested, depends if the credits are right. What's the work and how's the pay?"

Illiana gets up from the table and beckons you to follow her, Drax looks confused and the Bith continues humming. "Follow me dear," and with that she leaves with a wink for Drax, credits clinking in her pockets.

What do you do?
>>
>>42644533
Clear house and follow but be wary of any ''surprises''
>>
>>42644533
We follow her of course, but keep our holdout blaster at the ready.
>>
>>42644533
Yep, do as >>42644540
Suggested.
>>
>>42644533
Follow, but hand at the holster. Even if it's legit it'll make us look professional
>>
>>42644540
>>42644541
>>42644544
As you walk, Illiana explains what the crew of the Jolly does, they're spice runners, although they have a side operation of smuggling other precious materials, you are utterly surprised she so willingly opened up to you about all of this, maintaining her friendly attitude. She leads you to the Space Port rentals, where offworlders tend to stay, and knocks on a door.

"It's Illiana, I believe I may have found our new gun."

A brute of a human opens the door, you see a vibrosword at his side and a large Blaster on his back. Seated inside is a Male Zabrak, a smaller human male, and another female Chiss, she seems to be nearly if not identical in appearance to Illiana.

What do you do?

>>
>>42644648
We're quick on the draw, can shoot straight. Pilot a swoop bike like no one's business, not too bad at fisticuffs.

Oh, and a smattering of knowledge about alien species.

Blaster Pistol or Blaster rifle, if it's a blaster, we can shoot it.
>>
>>42644669
I'll agree with this. Perhaps as far as previous work goes, we've done non-professional security details for moving cargo over land, a little bit of serving of warrants, nightclub bouncing and some various odd jobs. This would account for our decent blaster skills, piloting and brawling.
>>
>>42644648
>Huk Removal

"Hello," you nod your head,"I'm Dossoxss, Illiana here was saying you had some work or a job open? If it's a hired gun and or hand you need, I'm your guy. I am quick on the draw, can shoot straight. Pilot a swoop bike like no one's business, and to top it off I've been able to more than hold my own in a few cantina brawls. When it comes to guns, if it's got a trigger I can shoot it, and if not, I can learn."

The Zabrak speaks up," His name is too long."

The other Chiss girl, "I'm going to call you Dox." She says it with an oddly childish cheerfulness and a wink. "Have you done much previous work?"

"A different gig every week, I go where I'm needed, been a bouncer, a courier, security, serving tables and private rooms, collecting bounties, and some other odds and ends. Haven't been able to find the right "gig" yet if you know what I mean.

The lumbering hulk at the door, "Dox talk too much, Gan do not like."

Deal with it Dox, if you're going to hire me you need to know who I am. I wouldn't let someone who refused to talk about themselves walk onto my ship and I don't expect this crew to either. But just for you I'll be quite now.
>>
>>42644768
>Other: Write In

You don't have to like me to work with me. You want another gun? Then I'm your man, take me or leave me.

>>42644784

>>
>>42644786
You're Dox, the brute is Gan.

"If you're going to hire me, you're going to want to know me, but if you want it nice and short. You want a gun and need something done, that's me and I can do it."

Everyone but the Zabrak smiles, and the smaller human speaks up for the first time, "You're hired, so tell me 'Dox', do you know anything about the Force?"

And with that I'm going to have to leave you for the night, I'm sorry it was so slow, family friends were over. Anyone that'd be interested in keeping up with this follow my twitter, @CrucibleCM and if someone could archive this, that'd be great. Cheers for coming everyone!

It started way earlier before it really got going. I think this quest has potential. Either way,we'll see.
>>
>>42645066
>>42645102
I started it a few hours earlier like Anon said.
>>
>>42644960
So they're somehow involved with the Force. This ought to be interesting.
>>
>>42645201
Agreed, that was a great cliff hanger. Interested to see where it goes. I think our response should be something along the line of "The Force? You mean the mythical space magic mothers tell their children about to make them go to bed on time?"
>>
>>42645306
I agree.

Maybe phrased along the lines of "that old hokey religion?"
