Hello and welcome back to (the hopefully longer) Minotaur Civilization Quest! I would like to formally apologize for my behavior in the previous session, it was inexcusable.

Previously we:

>A) Honestly didn’t do much, besides sending Sophie and her now apparent boyfriend to a strip club and sent out a new expedition to make a new settlement in the New World. If you want specifics check the thread.

Hopefully things will go smoothly from here.

SPECIAL EVENT!

A familiar bellowing sound erupts over Gorric as the Machine’s ship arrives overhead. As previously, a balloon descends from the craft and with it comes two constructs. The first is dressed in what could best be described as semi-noble clothing from the Victorian era, with a top hat and monocle to top it off, while the other is armored in heavy steel plate and carrying what looks to be a very big gun, with odd-looking green etchings carved into the barrel.

>”Greetings chaps! I am Lord Jeremy Berrington the Second, and I am here to formally negotiate a treaty with your leader, Queen Catherine!”

Stepping off the ship with the presumed guard in tow, the two quickly make their way to the capital, albeit with several confused glances from the populace. Eventually they make it to the front doors of the royal palace.

>”Bloody long walk it is…Oh, your Highness! Forgive my bluntness.”

He drops a knee, while the guard stands ready and silent.

>”If the word has spread quickly enough then you know why I am here. Or if you don’t, in which case you really should get some sodding messengers.”

He makes a noise that sounds like the machine equivalent of clearing his throat.

>”We would like your permission to hunt the Snow Elf population within their reservation. In return we will provide you with the secrets of our technological developments.”

>>42741426
Currently there are no issues that have divided your people into these. Sans the pacifistic worshipers of the Water Spirit and even then they're underground so they can't make much of a difference.

Declare Empire

We unlocked Vasselhood, so establish The Pact of the Horns.

Any nation or race can join, when they do, in exchange for a tribute of resources or donated citizens, they gain a garuntee that the Mighty Horned Army will crush all enemies and a seat in our new Congress.

For those too poor to pay, they donate citizens as tribute, these befome Sworn Born and are state property to use in our army, academies, breeding experiments, or super soldier program as needed.

>A1: Empire!
>64: HOT DAMN LUCKY NUMBERS!

Seeing as how your nation is a regional and global (to an extent) powerhouse, it is only fitting that you should consolidate your power. Envoys are sent out to every race and nation that you know of, and the results are as follows.

Humans:
>"Of course we'll join ye! Just don't do anythin' stupid."

Thriae:
>"I don't see the harm in it. Besides, just means I can spread the love more!"

Orcs:
>"Wut? Oke."

Insects:
>Scutteringnoises = WHAT IS EMPIRE.

Snow Elves:
>"OH MIGHTY GODS YES WE WILL JOIN YOU IN THE HEAVENS!"

Dark Elves:
>"Seeing as how we've got a Royal Marriage might as well make it official."

Dwarves:
>"You saved us. It is only fair we join forces."

Sverfneblin:
>"As long as we are allowed to continue on, we will join you."

Reptiles:
>"We would rather not join in this...Empire. But seeing as how you have a back door embassy, we don't really have a choice."

Kech:
>"Fuck off."

Thus the Pact of Horns was established, stretching across the seas from the far north of Drozen to the blistering dunes of White Sands. May the Pact last a thousand years!

>Pact of the Horns established!

Catherine gives a simple nod, and the machine gives a look similar to that of confusion.

>"Really? Well, that was easy. Bit of a cock off...Anyways, here are some of our finest designs!"

The guard makes several sputtering noises as it marches towards the throne, extending a worn and old scroll to Catherine.

>"Right then, have a beautiful day!"

They leave in a hustle as Catherine looks over the scroll to find that it's schematics for fine metal top-hats.

>A3: Crystalids
>47+15=62: Success!

The lack of a response from the Crystalids concerns Catherine to say the least. Sending a few scouts high into the mountain range they find that the clan you had known have been turned into worm food. Literally. The whole place is overgrown with weeds and what look to be gigantic masses of insects huddled together feasting on the multi-colored corpses of the people. Investigation further reveals that there is some signs of life in the upper reaches, though there is (judging by the tracks) less than 50.

>A4: Hat
>94: Amazing success!

While the designs were strictly limited to top hats, it wasn't hard for Catherine to put together a fine tam for one of her brothers in arms. She presented it to him as a wedding gift, and after a bit of drunken laughter, he accepted it with a grin as wide as the empire.

>"Thanks lass, 'bout time ah got me hat back!"

>A5: Sworn Born
>14: Complete failure!
>6: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA SUFFER FOOLS!

When the Sworn Born first arrived at the Super Soldier testing facility, everything was normal. And then the experiments started. Recruits were cut open while restrained and screaming as their innards were plucked out and replaced with "superior" organs. Somehow a few managed to survive, though they were made irreperably insane. Of these recruits, two stand out. A lone human named Wade, who was shot numerous times in an escape attempt and is now being held in a cell, and a...thing. We're not quite sure what it is, but it's skin is some form of writhing tentacles, and the less said of the rest the better. It escaped by massacring over a hundred fully armed guards, all the while giggling about some "Elder Beings." Clearly they believe in the old stories.

It lives.

>"Your highness, we are proud to announce that we have managed to successfully transplant organs from one subject to another, and keep both alive! Our first major test was placing a Minotaur brain in a human body. Though we barely managed to squeeze the brain into the tiny skull, we were able to shock the subject back to life! Another fine subject was a Thriae drone that had her uterus replaced with that of a Minotaur's. She was less than happy about it, but we were able to create the first hybrids! Unfortunately, they were all some horrid abomination that died about ten minutes after exposure to air. One of the scientists tried to keep one as a pet. Not fun."

>A6: Super Soldiers
>46: Average!

A detachment of your super soldiers numbering about 20 in total were sent up to the abandoned ruins to try and murderhobo the worms. Half died on the way up the mountain, be it by exposure, falling off a cliff, killing eachother, and the occasional giant eagle attack. Five more ran off into the wilderness while gibbering like a mad man. The remaining stuck to their mission and were able to clear about half of the worms from the desecrated corpses before what could best be described as a massive tunneling snake-worm erupted from the central gardens (or what was left of them) and nom'd all but one. He promptly ran right the fuck away.

>32+15=47: Average!

For as long as your people have bothered to stay in one spot you've had a basic method of finding stuff out. This consisted of hitting the subject, fucking the subject, mixing the subject with another subject, or just looking at it.

BUT NO LONGER!

After the recent "incidents" involving the Super Soldiers, it was decided to formally establish a leader for the buggers. The canidate chosen was the same man who attempted escape from the compound, Wade. He was given a series of drugs that managed to at least partially restore his sanity. And by that I mean he stopped trying to murder anyone within five feet of him without reasonable (in his mind) cause. >"Get out of my sight. I don't care where you go, just leave the Empire."

They're led away in silence.

>HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

In distant lands a storm is brewing, fueled by hatred and desire for revenge.

It knows.

>Illuminati
>23: Below average failure!

The secret hall's walls are filled to the brim with bickering as the heroes of the realm are busy screaming at each other.

>"Look all ahm sayin' is that Cath'rrine was in tah rright sendin' those bastards away."

>"That's a load of Mino shit, they made a mistake! How can you ruin someone's life for that?"

>"I am Queen, simple as that."

William is about to continue on as Dr. Popolis the Inhuman Acropolis interrupts him.

>"I OBJECT! We are allegedly the heroes of this nation, and yet we do nothing but bicker and waste the time of ourselves and the citizens. Frankly, the statistical chance of us actually performing something of note is abysmally low that we really should not even continue with these endeavors."

His voice pierces the noise like an arrow through flesh.

>"Now, it would be in all of your best interests for you to be silent as we continue with this meeting, lest I be forced to make you meet Death herself."

The silence is thick, and is only pierced by the quiet, meek voice of the newcomer Erin.

>"He's right guys. Please be quiet."

>R1: Armor
>42+20=62: Success!

With the recent development of grafting, you have been able to form crude neural armor, allowing you to make a sort of second skin for your soldiers. Currently it provides no benefit.

>Neural skin invented!

Research mandatory conscription for every man and woman (of all races) age 16-55 (or their years equal to this), just pass a few health tests and a few weeks training to provide the bulk of the army.

Now, let me just say this. Most of your soldiers are over in Cuth doing fuck all. Two of the most renowned heroes of the realm have been booted out for what the people see as an unjust cause, and the beer just ran out. Normally this would result in all out riots, potentially even a revolution! Catherine's head would have been rolling across the floor had it not been for a quick way to vent your anger. This way came in the form of conscription.

While less than glamorous, many people used the opportunity to let a few angry thoughts (to say the least) out, and quickly met new friends and fuck buddies in the process!

>+10 to all recruitment rolls!
>All citizens on the mainland now have the ability to act as a militia and receive basic training beyond what they normally get!

And on that note I am calling it, as I just threw up all over my keyboard and there appears to be blood. Have a nice night guys, and I will hopefully see you next Saturday.
