While you might have led quite the rough and tumble lifestyle for the better portion of a decade, it has come to your realization that FUCKING SHIT UP might not lead to the most prosperous of futures…

So super-charged with newfound determination to change your life, you CRASH INTO THE ROLLING MORNING!! Perhaps today will be great progress into a brilliant future of wonders untold!!

Life has been quite ordinary (or as ordinary as can be when you’re a degenerate in the eye of society) lately, hopefully this trend will continue as you strive for a better tomorrow!

Yeah… there’s no reason for you to act like some pompous ass when you aren’t. That shit’d probably be disrespectful or something. Not only that, you’d probably make a fool of yourself by acting like a total poser. Fuck that shit. You ain’t no poser.

You tryin’a act like some sort of civilized peoples would probably only make her laugh anyways.

With that decided, you take one last drag of your current cigarette before stomping it out. Can’t be the cause of a fire or some shit. The action seems to attract some negative attention of a couple other girls in the vicinity, as they mumble in what you can only think of as disgust at your action; you hadn't really noticed them before due to your objective. Bah! They might as well be background characters or some shit, like they’d try to associate with you as you are now. Fuck them anyways, you’ve got an even classier broad to be chatting with.

You continue into the tranquil and secluded garden, and just before you actually reach Masumi’s table she stands from her seat and bows politely.

“Good afternoon Sonohara-san. How do you do?” Damn. You’re pretty sure you’ve never been greeted like this before. You flinch slightly at the motion and question. She’s sure as hell acting like your proper people.

“Fuck. I’s doin’ good I guess?” Rather than returning the bow, you nod your head in greeting. Yeah. This is more along your style. You relax your posture a bit once you realized that her greeting sent you into a stiff and rigid stand. It ain’t like you to be so at attention. Your response to her greeting elicits a small giggling from the blue-haired girl before you, but you can

“Masumi-chan is pleased to hear you are doing well. Now, please.” She motions to the seat opposite of herself with one of her dainty, little hands. A small brushing of pink fills in upon her cheeks to nearly match the color of her smiling lips as she takes her seat once more. “Take a seat.”

“Eh… thanks.” You follow her lead and sit down yourself after pulling the chair out a bit. You slouch slightly forward and rest your elbows upon the surface of the small table, and eye the tea set once more. There -are- indeed two cups, and one of which is -indeed- on your side of the table. Well, now isn’t the time to be shy or anything, so you lift up the accompanying teapot, and pour both yourself and Masumi a cup.

While most of your actions are quite haphazard and crude, your hand is damn steady as you pour a nice, steady stream of the hot liquid into either cup; taking care to ensure that not a single drop is wasted by it splashing.

“Oh~” Masumi claps her hands together as she watches you take special care of the tea prepared. Her red eyes shimmer excitedly in the noontime sun. “Masumi-chan didn’t know you could pour tea like that! You’re so good~!”

“Heh. Ain’t no big deal, Princess.” You finish pouring and return the teapot back to where it sat before. “I’s just got some steady hands. M’job and homelife depend on them, y’know?”

“Ah~! Masumi-chan sees.” She gingerly takes your carefully poured cup of tea into her fingers, and lifts it up to her lips. You follow suit as well, and taste whatever tea she has prepared, and it turns out to be quite good… Ginseng?

“So, Princess, th’hell cause you to want to associate with a thug like me this fine day?” You ask while taking another sip of the tea.

“It is because Masumi-chan hardly ever gets the chance to speak with Sonohara-san these days. Masumi-chan also noticed Sonohara-san’s apparent interest in her, the way you stared at her for so long with such intense eyes. Uhuhuhu~” She giggles with a hand raised to cover her mouth as she does so, just like a proper little lady.

“Uhh, yeah. Well.” You respond, not quite sure how to continue on. You didn’t even realize you were staring at her, but it was possibly because your mind was still wrapped around the lecture where her family’s name was mentioned… it was -most- likely that, but Masumi is also quite pretty and cute in her own right. It could also do with the fact that her desk is in the same row of desks you sit in only at the very front of the class, and you would -have- to be looking in her general direction to be watching the presentation… there’s just so many possibilities, dammit! You’re a delinquent, not a detective!!

But you’ve got to answer her somehow why you were staring at her.

You shrug off any sort of doubt as you reach down for your lunch, hidden within your bag just beside your feet. You grasp at the cloth that you use to keep the box from suddenly opening up, and promptly bring it up to the table.

“Well, yeah. I suppose I was.” Your hands easily untie the knot, and then lift the lid of your lunch’s container. It looks and smells delicious, as it always does. Everything is rightly in place, including your chopsticks. You -do- tend to do all the cooking between your siblings, mostly because your elder sister can’t cook worth shit, and you had to learn how to give you and your little sister some proper nutrition. Can’t bust faces if yer lacking in proper nutrition. Grasping them in your fingers you pick up your first bite and hold it just a couple inches above the rest of your lunch. You’re still talking, after all.

“Yer name was sorta mentioned in that entire presentation bullshit that the Teach started up.” Raise the chopsticks up to your mouth and take that first bite. Mmmm. Tastes delicious. Your hunger -was- pretty intense. You usually eat a bit, if not -all- of your lunch in the middle of class.

“Ah~ So you’re-eh?” Masumi starts before you raise a hand to silence her. She stops abruptly understanding your gesture.

“Well, that and yer also a pretty cute chick, y’know? Why wouldn’t I be staring?” Your blunt honesty seems to stun Masumi a bit as her cheeks flush pink, and she averts her gaze slightly. Your sudden flattery also seems to increase the rate of muttering from the other two girls in the garden, from what it sounds like.

“W-well… M-Masumi-chan th-thanks you for your k-kind words, Sonohara-s-san.” Masumi squeaks out as she straightens her posture once more, and once again takes her cup into her fingers and takes a dainty little sip.

“Y’don’t have’ta thank me, y’know. You’s fuckin’ cute. Not like I’s could be the first bloke who’s said that shit ta ya.” You chuckle lightly at the break in her demeanor, switching from that of a proper young lady to that of an embarrassed school girl. She really -is- quite cute.

“So then, did you not know that Masumi-chan’s family was here to found the city?” She tries to break away from that previous line of conversation. Man. Her face is pretty red, and it almost looks like she’s sweating now. Perhaps you over stimulated the poor little lady. Hehe.

“Nah. I’s only been kickn’ round for a few years. Shit, that day on the bridge was my first day in town.”

“Really?! Masumi-chan thought you only transferred schools and living locations!” She covers her mouth as she gasps. “Masumi-chan didn’t know you weren’t a local.”

“Nah. But it probably esplains why I didn’t know the entire founders story and shit. I thought your name was big just because yer folks own that business of theirs.”

“Masumi-chan understands.” She nods her head a couple times to emphasize her statement. “Yes, Masumi-chan’s family -does- go all they way back to the original three families, and more importantly was the house of Blue: Family of Magicians.”

Wow. That sounds pretty fucking crazy coming from the single most proper lady in school. House of Magicians? No… wait… maybe this isn’t as fuck-wierd as it sounds. Perhaps they were like illusionists and street magicians? Like those people who make it -seem- like they do strange, spooky shit… no… th’fuck would ‘farmers’ need smoke and mirrors for? Did... they like -magic- the ground? Did you miss out on this little fuckin’ gem of a factoid during the Teach’s lecture?! No..

“It actually -was- mentioned during Pisuov-sensei’s lecture.” Masumi says matter-of-factly as she uncovers her own lunch and takes a bite of it. Oh shit! Is she reading your mind?! No! She was just informing you due to your confused-as-shit expression. Shit man. You’re not quite sure how to handle teh spooky in this sort of situation. Perhaps she’s just shitting you, because rich people don’t have anything better to do other than fuck around with the lower class. There’s no reason why to not continue on with this line of conversation.

“Shit, like occult shit? Sacrificial pigs and salt circles?” You’ve got to calm your shit down, and talk this shit out. You know there was a lot of magic crap all throughout history, and a lot of spiritual and demonic shit as well. The usual drivel that gets horror movies to sell, or the bull shit to get magical girl series to take off.

“Yes.” She nods happily, no sign of any sort of change in her demeanor. She chews for a moment on another bite of her food before continuing once more. “That would be correct. Masumi-chan’s family was renown as practitioners of Magic, as well as spiritual exorcists and youkai-busters.”

“Does your family still do that creepy shit?” You reach into your pocket to light up another cigarette. You need one. This is far too strange to take at face value without one… then again you remember that some shit was left out of the Yamamoto family’s history when you were told of it by Kamiko at one point.

“Oh~? No~ Don’t be silly Sonohara-san. Masumi-chan’s family doesn’t engage in such macabre things anymore.” She giggles lightly at your comment. Perhaps you really were just thinking too hard about it all. “Her family is purely focused on helping out the city with energy, material good production, and food. You’re such a kidder Sonohara-san~”

“Heheh… yeah. Well, it’s not like I’ve ever heard the full story of the city’s past or anythin’.” You exhale a plume of smoke to the side, making sure to blow it away from Masumi’s face. “But shit. Magic is a pretty -different- thing ta think about, y’know? That’s like talkin’ bout demons and shit bein’ round as well.”

“History exaggerates so much, though. Who knows what is legend and what is history?”

“Fuck, I dunno. I hardly pay attention in class to understand which is which.”

“Oh? Do you s-stare at M-Masumi-chan that often, p-perhaps?” She blushes heavily, though this time she tries to hide it behind her teacup as she takes another sip.

>Well, yeah. Better ‘n staring at the blackboard.
>Only sometimes. I stare at other chicks to, y’know.

“Well…” You start up as you watch the girl across from you stare deeply into her teacup as she tries to avoid eye contact with you. Your answer is quite simple, as it is indeed the truth. With another bite of your delicious meal you formulate your words within your brainmeats, but this seems to almost serve to drive Masumi crazy as she begins to risk glances up at you whilst you do so.

“Princess, ya do remember that I hardly ever show to class in the first place, right?” This seems to break Masumi out of her flustered state a bit, but replaces with with the embarrassment of missing such a detail. She smiles wryly in the face of this fact.

“Then when I’s do, is like a 50-50 chance I fall asleep, zone out, stare at whatever catches m’eye, or don’t even has a fuckin’ clue to what the fuck is goin’ on.” Masumi lowers her teacup a bit more, her smile slowly fading and replaced with a look that looks vaguely guilty.

“I ain’t no good student.” You take a nice, long sip of your tea as Masumi’s mood seems to have stabled out a bit. You swallow your drink before continuing on, as you’ve yet to finish. “I’s plannin’ on fixing that, but that’s been the general trend, cutie.”

With that final mention, that little addition at the end of your sentence some of that life seems to return to Masumi’s cheeks, as well as her lips. Good.

>[1/2]
>>
“Then, Sonohara-san, does that mean that you will be showing up to class more often?”

“Yeah, sure. I’d like to think it’d go that way.”

“Hopefully it will. Masumi-chan would like to see more Sonohara-san, and I’m sure Raku would like to be able to see more Sonohara-san as well.”

“Ra… Oh yeah.” You snap your fingers as the name matches up with a face in your head. Raku was indeed the name of Masumi’s younger sister, but you also remember that she seemed like she had quite the rotten personality. She was a brat, who -acted- a lot like how one would expect a spoiled, rich girl to act. Even in your youth you can remember her calling you a peasant or commoner… the girl has probably never received a spanking in her life…

Well… while that girl was quite a little brat in youth, that shit’s probably changed. No reason to hold a grudge from childhood for nothing; especially when you’re finally getting to socialize with the upperclass on what feels like an even level. Yeah. She hasn’t once looked over at you like you were trash or anything. Hell, she’s given you more respect than some middle class people have ever given you. There’s no harm in asking more about Raku.

“Yeah, her. How’s the Duchess been doin’ lately? She still kickin’ round here, or did she go away to one of them fancy-ass private schools?” You finish the last of your lunch. The act of taking that last bite settles in your stomach quite well, and hits the spot. “I remember back then ‘the common’ folk wasn’t quite her cup of tea.”

“Oh! That! No, Raku is just a shy little girl. Masumi-chan has heard nothing but good things about you from her. It was especially so when Sonohara-san actually spent more time with Raku and Masumi-chan.” Huh, wow. The way she trash talked you, you could have never guessed that she would -ever- have positive things to say about you… seems almost farfetched.

“Yeah? I’s never heard her say a word to me that wasn’t mean as hell or demeaning. She always acted a bit like a bitch, though is nice to know that there’s something else there.”

>[1/3]
>>
“Yeah, Raku is just a shy girl. She doesn’t know how to express herself, but you can always find a brighter side if you’re willing to look. Trust Masumi-chan! Her big sister knows best.” She crosses her arms in front of her chest and smiles proudly. You suppose that’s a trait that both you and Masumi must feel, as both of you also have younger sisters. “Oh! Masumi-chan almost forgot to answer your question! Raku -is- a student of Onimaru Junior high. She even comes to visit her older sister at lunch sometimes!”

“Izzat so. So you’s still pretty close then, eh?”

“Yeah, Masumi-chan and Raku are almost inseparable!”

“Well, tha’s cool. Perhaps I’ll see you guys ‘round then.” You stretch and take a good drag of your cigarette when the sound of the bell rings out in the distance, signaling the end of lunch, and heralding an afternoon of learning. “Ah…”

“Oh, well it seems as though your and Masumi-chan’s little lunch date has come to an end.” She pouts slightly as she begins to stand. One of the other girls in the area come near and begin to clean up the table, and placing the tea set into a special box. They must have been a couple of Masumi’s servant. You’ve heard about her family employing youths for the sake of extra companionship and friendship for their kids, as well as convenience whilst at school; but you’ve never dwelled too much on that fact.

“Masumi-chan must swing by the office before heading back to class. She will see you later, Sonohara-san.” She gives you a deep bow, and even a curtsey before she begins to head off through one of the other entry ways into the little garden sanctuary. She is soon then met up with a couple other girls a little further away as she makes her way back to the school.

>[2/3]
>>
You yourself clean up and wrap your shit up, and place it back into your bag. You withdraw your drink from your inventory as well, and decide to crack that open as the girl handling the tea set grabs the teapot and places it in the box as well… you’re pretty sure it still had some in it, but far be it for you to tell her how to do her job.

You take a drink as a red-haired girl lazily walks up from the path from where Masumi went. Her twin-tails bob up and down with each step she takes, and her unfocused, blue eyes are clearly locked onto you. She stands slightly taller than most girls, but is still a fair bit shorter than you. Her Oddly enough she’s wearing a pair of white gloves with cuffs that almost seem out of place at the school, though you guess you can’t quite criticize based on your own gloves (albeit yours are for the punching). Perhaps she has a thing with dirt or dust... You begin to wonder how she’s going to berate you for consuming Masumi’s time, like you’re sure the tea girl is wanting to, but instead she smiles tiredly.

It’s not until she’s closer you realize that she’s not only locked onto you, she’s very obviously eyeing you up and down. Her head tilts slightly to either side up until she finally stops only a couple feet away from where you’re standing.

“Yo, Sonohara.” She raises a hand in greeting, a light wave, and finally makes eye contact with you. “You’re Sonohara, right? Here. You lost these this mornin’.” She lifts up her sweater-vest and shirt slightly, and it almost looks like she might just lift it off her body until you notice that there’s a familiar pair of round, black sunglasses half-tucked into the hem of her skirt. She grabs it, and then lets her sweater and shirt fall back down before handing them to you.

These are the same ones that Souichi lost this morning in the pond!

“Umm… thanks. How’d ya find ‘em?” You reach out and take the black glasses from her gloved fingers. She reaches forward slightly in your motion to poke at your palm before retracting her hand. “I though that Fangy lost ‘em in the pond. I’ll get these back to him… but.”

You look at her once again, and now she’s staring at the finger she poked you with. She’s definitely a little… strange… You examine the glasses once more, and find that they have been cleaned and are completely dry, on top of being quite warm. They are -indeed- the same glasses he was wearing earlier this morning.

“By the way, who the hell are ya, girlie?” You raise an inquisitive eyebrow as her gaze once more slowly shifts upwards to meet your gaze. She pauses, almost freezes a few seconds before a tired, but cheerful smile forms across her lips. She tilts her head slightly to the right, causing her pigtails to bounce and sway for a moment before she opens her lips.

“Ah! My name! It’s Leirinaria Feilarastian, I moved here to Eternal De-Diamond City from overseas a couple years ago. I’m Masumi’s friend. Nice to meet you.” Her voice almost sounds monotone as she speaks, but you can hear the faint sound of upbeat emotion amongst her words. Despite saying she moved here from overseas, you can’t quite tell any accent in her voice denoting her being a gaijin… though that might just be because of the -way- she speaks. Even with her clearly understandable manner of speech you still can’t quite grasp her name fully, mostly due to how many similar syllables are within it… damn, strange gaijin names.

“Uhh, yeah. Nice to mee’chu too, Mono-girl. I’s Ch-”

“I know who you are~! You are my second year senpai, Chitose Sonohara.” Yeah, she already knows who you are. You suppose she -did- use your name earlier when she handed you the glasses. No matter, it’s not like most people don’t know who you are due to your reputation as a bad egg anyways… “Masumi and Raku talk about you all the time.”

Eh? -Al the time?- That seems a little excessive for a couple of girls you hardly interact with, but then again it could be gossip of all your exploits as a delinquent, or even possibly residual feelings from five years ago. It -makes- sense, but it feels a little strange to know that for the better or worse that Masumi and her little sister talk about you to this… girl you don’t even really know.

“You’re my underclassmen?”

“Yes. I am a first year student here. Please take care of me as well, senpai.” She bows lazily, but strongly. Her bow almost makes her pigtails touch the ground. She has a weird mix of formal and informal going on about her.

“Yeah. Sure.” You nod in recognition to her request. Perhaps you’ll become better acquainted with her as well as Masumi and potentially Raku. While -potentially- not a member of the upper class, she’s pretty associated with them which might help you keep up your goal of becoming more respectable. With nary a word, Leirinaria turns on her heel and begins to walk away.

“Hopefully by chance we’ll meet again, Sonohara. You’re every bit as interesting as I’ve been lead to believe.” She turns her head slightly to give you another flash of her smile before she trots off after Masumi.

Well, that was… an encounter. Well, with the lunchtime end bell rung, it’s time to get back to the classroom… or something… You’re not quite sure. You almost feel like you’ve had enough school for today, but you want to keep up the good work on becoming a better student…

Then it will be time to wrap up.

Mono-girl almost said 'Eternal Demon City' didn't she?
>>
>>42841136
I bet she's an oni in disguise.

We're trying to change our image, though, so if we do learn magic, we should totally learn something people wouldn't expect of us, like healing magic.

Cleric is the most broken class for smashers.

I... I-I have n-n-no idea -what- you're talking about.

>>42841136
That is indeed one of the -many- possibilities of starting a sentence with "Eternal De-".

On another note, I -did- kinda go full weeb with the concept of the city/setting as if you couldn't tell from the full-on anime/VNess of it all, and thus the moon pronunciation would be close to:

>"Eien no Dai-mo-n-do" City.

The message is in the "original language" as all I hear is the moonrune-ching-chong language when I type dialogue for these characters, and thusly translate it into the superior 'Murikan language.

Nope, sorry but she is not an Oni.

Alright, so if that's that I shall take my leave~!

I'll be back tomorrow with a continuation of your delinquency, and your journey to escape it!!
