The four armed demon while ready to kill pauses to think. It seems to sense that something is different about you, it doesn’t know about the hell deeds at least. The Ghaele struggle against your psychic bonds while the demon contemplates what to do.

Hestia’s avatar and bursts of intermittent static fill your HUD suddenly.

“…Communications are being slightly distorted by something emanating a large power signature, it is heading in your direction please be careful…”

She cuts comms after transmitting a burst of data for your power armor to translate into her reports.

Completed Research

>Fusion ray – This weapon operates based on the same principle as your laser ability, an intense ray of spirit particles forcibly made to undergo fusion. The resulting weapon however is less coherent than your ability and loses effectiveness at long range.

>Distributed neural computation – A small modification of the implant previously created, Hestia’s understanding of psychic abilities has allowed her to create an external system that links the neural output of organic life’s subconscious mind. While the effect is subtle and undetectable to most Hestia measures a clear increase in productivity.

>Stealth field – The researchers have developed full spectrum camouflage, purely technologically based and as effective at long distance as magic invisibility. Provides a bonus to stealth when installed.

>Electromagnetic shields – Marissa has worked with the researchers backwards from your understanding of force field harmonics to create a rudimentary form o f the shielding you already have. Hestia thinks that this is the final piece of how the force fields operate, future improvements will now start increasing the power of your shields.

>Selective materials – Hestia has mastered the enchantment process that created the shifting material of the artifact bow. Newly installed material shifting devices cut back on the number of chips needed in the casino. The customers seem to like the new level of showmanship that has been introduced by the chips suddenly altering into new things as the value increases from their winning. There also seems to be a list of industrial applications, shaping easier to manipulate material then converting it into desired materials.

>Nuclear force manipulation – Hestia has developed the means of controlling the strong and weak nuclear forces. Effectively this allows her to force or stop fission and fusion reactions, thus your holdings are now immune to nuclear weapon strikes. Current power requirements prevent portable applications at this time.

Important note

>Administration activity – A large energy signature is headed in your direction. It appears to be flying many miles above you.

>Director Burgess – He is still battling holograms, so he has been put to use refining the holographic training simulation, his skill and power allow him to quickly locate the weak points in the simulation. Evangeline things he is waiting to see how fast you can resolve the mission he sent you on.

>Dragon egg – The drones have been searching the first level of hell to locate a dragon, thus far they have located a ring of stone pillars containing a dome of fire and a tunnel filled with hostile humanoid amphibians that you have yet to explore. A massive glowing array of runes painted in blood has been located, power is building and the drones are unable to disrupt whatever it is.

When your HUD reverts back to normal display you see the demon still remains unmoving, its thinking about just killing the guards, that would fulfill the summoning conditions technically.

The few moments of nothing happening was enough from the mayor to become enraged, “KILL HIM!” He shouts at the demon.

You look over your armor’s condition before starting this fight.

Everything seems to be in order, but you can’t help but notice that the large black sphere that is the merchant has stopped resisting.

There is a faint hum as the power armor’s vibroblade kicks into action, the demon eyes your weapon warily. You bring the weight of you mind down on the demon, encouraging its thoughts of attacking anyone but you.

>51 vs dc 50

Unfortunately the demon’s mind proves to be almost too simple to manipulate and so rather than being compelled to fight for you it descends into mindless bloodlust. You’ll be unable to further influence it now. Ignoring that for now you dash across the room and slash at the mayor. Your sword cuts him open easily, the vibrating blade severs his arm and continues through his body, killing the helpless mayor.

The black sphere then suddenly releases a pulse of magic. The psychic bonds you created to hold everyone into place are suddenly shattered. Guards tumble to the floor and try to quickly recover, but the demon is already upon them, its four arms rip a guard’s arms off and the demon starts feasting on the still dying Ghaele.

>Your status – Power armor, 100/100 structure – shields 60/60 – 113/113 external mana

The demon continues to eat the dead body for a moment while a glow begins to cover its body. With the mayor dead and the demon having killed a guard its terms of summoning are complete and it slowly fades away.

The remain guards rush at you trying to kill you.

>50 vs dc 45

You vibroblade slices into the guards, not one but twice. Each slash cuts down a pair of the guards their swords and armor too weak to even slow down your blade.

The last guard backs off and starts edging his way to the exit, he now knows there is no way for him to hurt you. He thinks you are here for the merchant so he hopes you’ll be distracted long enough for him to escape.

The black merchant has been charging a spell for a while, when unleashed it causes a massive flame to form above you and it blasts down against you. A storm of fire and holy energy rages around you, the wooden building is instantly set ablaze.
>Your status – Power armor, 100/100 structure – shields 45/60 – 113/113 external mana

>Enemy status –one guard - fleeing, a large black sphere, five dead guards, one dead mayor

Whatever the spell was didn’t pierce your armor’s force field, but you can feel the orb readying another spell to blast you with. With only two enemies left you can afford to split your attention a bit.

Tracking the fleeing guard with your mind you let him run away while planting the seeds of fear deep into him.

At the same time you use telekinesis to rebind the black merchant and then redirect gravity to further hold him into place.

>54 vs dc 50

By the time he reaches to door to get outside the guard is so terrified that he’ll be discovered and killed for dereliction of duty that rather than running for help he slowly marches off to talk his way out of a gate to escape.

The black orb hangs silently in the middle of the room unable to break free of your psychic grasp.

“You appear to be more important than the others, where is the leader of this invasion?” You try asking.

The merchant responds by blasting you with a beam of light. It damages your armor’s shielding a bit, it didn’t seem to be a laser but operated similarly. The merchant struggles useless against your binding for a few seconds before preparing more magic.

“What would happen if I carved you into a cube?” You ask while brandishing your blade.

The merchant casts another spell at you, a swarm of blades whirl about forming a wall. The blades flash against your armor’s force field slowly but surely cutting through it.

Since your armor’s shields are still around half full you ignore the spell for now and work on trying to break into the merchant’s shielded mind.

>50 vs dc 50

His mind is well protected, you think you can fell that not only is he trained to resist this sort of intrusion but he also he has some sort of outside protection assisting him. You are able to not only slip through both layers of his mental protection but you also root in deep enough to be able to direct his actions from now on.

His focus on casting another spell prevents you from gathering information for now, but you do know that next he is going to try and banish you. Even he thinks that banishment is a terrible thing, but with your strength he sees no other way to deal with you.

Even Director Burgess said that banishment was annoying so you nip that in the bud and force his magic to stop. He seems a bit surprised but not nearly as much as when you next force him to undo his transformation.

A hooded man is what the sphere turns into, his eyes glow slightly with some sort of magic power.

“I am here to buy this land, naturally for the crime of demon summoning the mayor had to die,” you decide to mess with him even more for some reason, “Will you sell me this land?”

He isn’t sure if you’re insane or not, but since you did just dispatch the guards and mayor he decides to play along.

“Yes, yes, demons are evil right,” He mutters, he wonders if you saw all the dead humans or not, “you’ll need to see the general if you want to buy land I’m afraid, yes, outsiders need special permissions. Just take the south gate and follow the road until you find the fortress.”

He is hoping you’ll go for it and get yourself killed by the army, but he seems cooperative enough for now perhaps you can get some questions answered. You don’t have much time the building is burning down, the smoke and fire will be noticed soon.

You keep the merchant under control and put the fire out with nothing more than a thought. The smoke that is slowly trailing out of the building you pull back in with a slight breeze and then allow it to dissipate to the point where no one will notice it.

Then you check the while building for anything interesting, then you double check the bodies for soul orbs, when you finish you’re pretty sure there are less bodies than you found orbs.

> One large human bone, eleven very large ruby gems, one huge hourglass, one opened letter, seventeen tiny steel seal statues, one sandal, one gilt amulet, twenty very small tigereye gems, nine soul orbs, one vase of dark grey flowers, one cork, one elm bow, one jasper gem, one large olive-fletched arrow, *one book of prayers*, one blue steel amulet, one sealed letter, eight tiny platinum daggers, *one arcane tome*, one carnelion, one teak broom, one bird skull, seven chisels, eighteen platinum swords, *one tiny azure-fletched arrow*, five tiny turquoises, and *one blue-green cape*.

“Would you give your recommendation to the general that I be allow to buy these lands?”

“Of course, just let me down and I’ll write a letter for you,” the merchant lies, he is going to run for it as soon as possible.

The merchant is still bound in mid air trying to struggle free, you have him captured for now but what are you going to do with him?

>>
You grab the merchant and walk out the front door, one or two of the people notice you, but you ignore their shouts and fly off to the south. Your power armor gets moving fairly quickly and the merchant is very uncomfortable from the wind chill.

“Have you heard of a Marquis, Max or something, he should have been in charge when the invasion started?” You ask the merchant as you fly along the southern path though the forest.

“I know nothing of what your people did here before we took this place from you,” he tries to say while the wind buffets him.

While he struggled to speak you notice that there are many life forms down below you. The suit picks up a few unusual looking animals, mostly similar to the canines you’ve encountered before.

More mountains are springing up from the depths of the forest occasionally, you have to avoid one or two now and then. After a few hours following the southern path you find a massive fortress surrounded by mountains.

Within you sense a vast number of life forms, there is a large number of them that have shielded minds. From the unshielded minds you gather that this is to be the capital of their new nation, the humans are going to be exterminated by their army and that the general is in the deepest dungeon interrogating their annoying prisoner.

As you float in mid air gathering information the suit’s sensors suddenly register a massive energy discharge, behind you the town you just came from is vaporized by a massive energy blast coming from sky above. The disturbance that Hestia mentioned is still headed your direction, its power a bit lower now after firing but it is slowly building up once more.

As if the flash of light from the explosion of energy was a signal you sense a group of humans exiting a cave in one of the mountains, they are trying to sneak into the city to save their worthless leader.

“Do you know what that was?” You ask the merchant.

“What what was?” He asks confused to what you mean, he didn’t even notice the flash from the explosion.

The merchant considers using magic to signal the fortress, but you change his mind and fly off to intercept the group of humans you sense.

There is a bit of a panic when your power armor suddenly drops from the air in front of the group of thirty four people. They relax a bit when they see it is not a Ghaele attack but instead is power armor.

“Unknown armor system, identify yourself immediately, surrender the enemy combatant to our custody, and exit the armor immediately,” a heavily armed and armored woman advances to the front of the group and announces.

She seems to be the one in charge here. She has tasked her group to rescue the Marquis. As annoying as he is he did make sure everyone got to safety. She is also very suspicious of you, the soldiers following her will obey her commands without question.

The commander readies her gun, and the troops behind her follow suit, “I’ve never heard of any goblins having a king, surrender yourself to our custody.”

“I can tell you are on edge since the Marquis Max or whatever was captured, but with your current skills and equipment you will be killed. So just sit back and let me handle it.”

A few of the soldiers burst out laughing at your making fun of the Marquis, the commander while amused keeps stony silence, she raises her fist to signal the others and stop laughing immediately.

“I will add disregarding lawful orders to your list of crimes ‘goblin king’ now surrender or I will open fire,” the commander says, she is a bit worried about your armor but thinks she can overcome you with numbers.

“I had hoped to reason with you. Just stay clear of the fortress, there is something coming. With the energy blast it unleashed before you are better off hiding in the cave to stay alive,” you warn them.

You pilot the suit away from the group and true to her word the commander opens fire on you, her aim is pretty good. Your shields hold and you quickly move out of sight. The group of soldiers are worried, but the commander gets them regrouped and heading towards the fortress. She pauses every now and then to check the sky and take readings, she doesn’t want to admit it to the group but she knows you’re right something huge is coming.

“Is the general or anyone else high ranking female?” You can’t help but ask the merchant.

“The general and heads of staff maintain the alternate form, even I do not know,” he answers with a bit of mental pushing from you. He only knows the general’s sphere has multiple colors.

>47 vs dc 45

To your surprise the commander notices something is happening, but can’t quite determine what. She pulls out an injector and her mind kicks into to overdrive. She keeps everyone on track and starts resisting your influence. So rather than forcing them back to the cave you just trap them into a maze, they will be trapped wandering in circles through the forest for some time now. With her mind pumped up on the drug cocktail you have to make the mental trap a bit more complicated to trick the commander.

Once you are sure the soldiers are going to stay away from the city you turn to the merchant.

"Is it impolite to ask about sphere colors? What might different colors signify? I have only encountered you, what does black mean?" You send a barrage of questions to the merchant.

He hates you so much, he is starting to think this Is some sort of esoteric torture technique.

“Yes it is impolite for outsiders to ask, but you are going to pry answers from me anyways,” the merchant says.

“Different colors note many things, power, ability, age, it is much too complex for you to understand,” he tries to push your inquiry away but you keep pushing for more, “white and black are special, black gives me the power to compel others, though obviously your skill at this is stronger.”

“Interesting, but what about the general’s multiple colors?” You ask.

“I know of only cyan, green and white, the general is rumored to have many more.” The merchant tells you hoping to extend his life, “When multiple colors are present you can’t presume to know what the other’s abilities are, they could be hiding colors to maintain an advantage. The general is a master of combat however.”

According to the suit’s sensors the energy signature will arrive over the fortress in two or three hours more at most.

Why would we buy this land?

This is basically the frontier, sure, we could buy it, since they "conquered" it "first", but they just want to DESTROY ALL HUMANS! and get rid of us and ours anyway, so fuck these guys. It'll devolve into a shootout, and we won't get our money back, metaphorically speaking, that is.
>>
On your way to the fortress walls you chat with your prisoner more, “So tell me more about the colors, what exactly do they do?”

After some coaxing you manage to get him to talk.

>Ghaele sphere color information
White – Very rare color, improved abilities, can grant power to others
Red – Fire abilities and resistance, stronger than normal
Blue – Water abilities and resistance, calmer than normal
Green – Plant based abilities, tougher than normal
Yellow – Stronger electricity, faster than normal
Pink – Lust abilities and resistance, more attractive than normal

After he tells you this you think that he is holding back something still, but you’ve reached the walls and can’t talk more for now.

>57 vs 55

You try something new this time, you extend a field of psychic energy that should make others ignore your existence. Floating up and over the wall you test its effectiveness, the ghaele soldier at the top of the wall doesn’t notice you at all. You take care to avoid being seen from a distance and drop down into the fortress itself. Lifting information from unshielded minds you make a mental map and make your way into the main keep.

Several times the merchant tries to yell for help, but you just block the sound he makes. This makes him very frustrated.

You still sense the general below you, still interrogating the prisoner it seems. So far you are completely undetected but you’ve been avoiding shielded minds and inside the keep there are a lot more of them. Only the general and prisoner are shielded in that direction so you could make your way there easily enough.

Or you could interrupt what appears to be a meeting of some sort, twenty shielded minds are all in a single area together.

The merchant has taken up hitting your armor to try and make sound but you continue muffling all his attempts to attract attention.

“Stop that you’ll only hurt yourself,” you say right as you pass a guard, your control over sound preventing the guards from hearing.

Upon witnessing this the merchant falls still and resigns himself to being trapped by your power.

Following a twisting path down into the bowels of the fortress you eventually come to a large securely locked door. A bit of telekinesis unlocks it and you proceed unnoticed by the stationed guards.

“… Never! Justice will always be victorious!” you hear an unfortunately familiar voice shouting.

“Impossible!” the merchant bellows when you turn around a corner and see what you presume is the general.

A sphere of constantly twisting and shifting colors floats outside a cell. There is an endless stream of colors, including a few that you’re pretty sure don’t normally exist.

The merchant faints trying to comprehend the sight.

“Wait what is this feeling? VILLIAN HOW DARE YOU COME TO TAUNT ME!”

And the idiot just gave your presence away, how the hell did he even notice from inside the cell that it was specifically you out here.

The general shifts its attention away from the cell to you, the mental trick you used doesn’t work and they see you clearly.

“Hail interloper, what brings you to my domain?” The general’s voice is forceful and crystalline.

The sphere’s colors shift as black and pink become dominant, then the general starts trying to push some compulsion into your mind.

The general’s psychic attack fails, but you are able to twist the resulting scattering of energy to make it appear as though it was successful. The sphere’s color drop back to normal, dropping their guard? A chance to talk at least.

“Having fun with the Marquis?” You ask.

“I can hear that VILLIAN!” The marquis shouts.

“So willful, good, this will make things more interesting,” the general says, “this Marquis has proven to be rather resistant as well, I came to personally break him.”

“Why are you invading?”

“Why not? The strong crush the weak,” the general says.

“There is some sort of meeting above, what is that about?”

“My people are organizing operations here so it is nothing of interest to you.”

“What would it take for you to leave?”

“Is that a threat now? If you came to me you must know that we don’t do well without leaders.”

“I was looking for big,” you pause for a moment, “tracts of land. This merchant said outsiders need approval to buy land.”

“WHAT?!? Making deals with these, these, MURDEROUS ORBS? Your villainy knows no bounds, I will break free and rescue my darling Evange-” You cut the marquis off by blocking the sound of his force from coming near you.

“Your request is denied, we will purge the weak humans from this land and expand,” the general says, “Enough questions the strongest will decide things from here.”

The sphere turns bright yellow and the dungeon corridor is filled with lightning, it is just electricity so you take the hit, shielding the merchant from being killed.

You are going to have to fight your way out of here.

You go on the offensive with your mental powers, probing for a hole in the general’s defenses. The sphere shifts colors as it tries to prevent your intrusion.

>59

The general’s mind is strong and well protected, but you are persistent. The general’s mental protections are stripped away slowly but surely. When you breach the last defense you gain full access to everything. You force the general back into a human shape and force, her, to stop all hostilities towards you.

“What?!? Where did that evil orb go? Why is there a delicate beauty here in this prison? VILLIAN YOU DID THIS DIDN’T YOU!” The Marquis shouts out, you were too focused on the general and forgot to keep blocking his voice out.

“LUNAR ESCAPE!”

Wait if he could escape this whole time why was he staying captive?

With a flash of light the Marquis appears outside his cell, he is a bit disheveled looking but he is ready to fight you.

“Don’t worry fair lady, I will protect you from this villain and-”

The general stabs him in the stomach with an energy sword, “You disgust me, now die.”

The marquis flickers and appears behind you.

“Urk- I, I see, your villainy has already controlled her too,” the marquis chokes on his own blood, “I won’t let you get away with this villain!”

“LUNAR TELEPORT!” He runs away again, the beam of light quickly escapes from the fortress.

“Why would you even try to save that man?” The general asks, she blasts energy at the ceiling above you trying to cave it in on you. The general is working very hard to circumvent your mental control.

>Your status – Power armor, 100/100 structure – shields 55/60 – 103/103 external mana

Obviously not, he got captured like a chump, and we have defeated him in battles of words, penmanship, and not jobbing to WMD-style attacks.

I bet you if we lasered him he would have to teleport away or he would be instantly de-atomized.
>>
Looking into her mind more trying to find something to work with you find something a bit disturbing, these ghaele are a minor branch off of the main group. They were cast out of their homeland after a magical accident caused the degradation mutation that caused the majority to have a single color. The mutation also caused rampant insanity, the general herself is a throwback to the true ghaele.

“Stop digging through my mind,” the general says, “I don’t care what they have become, I will build a home for them.”

For some unknowable reason you feel compelled to tickle her. Several minutes later you have her telekinetically pinned to the ground as she laughs so hard she is crying. She is helpless before your mighty attack. With her completely distracted you remove her will to right, but it does nothing to stop her desire to win. Even with fighting you she will beat you, somehow.

When you let her get up she stows her energy blade and stares at you angrily, she huffs in indignation.

“Now I want you to end the invasion and terraforming,” you tell her, you work the idea into her mind but find that she is able to resist this change.

“I must refuse, the terraforming process cannot be stopped, we used a stolen magic device,” the general explains, “once started it fuses with the earth and will continue to operate until the mana used is expended, we sacrificed many mages for this.”

“You can go back home,” you say, and her mind seizes up at the mention of home.

“We have no home human,” she spits at you, her voice is venomous as she continues, “we lost our home long ago, death we face here, death we face if we return. Living another day is a victory for us.”

You suit’s sensors indicate that you have an hour at most now, the energy signature is closing on the fortress.

“I could help you. If you stay here you will die,” you tell the general, “I have come to control the upper three layers of hell and have built up some holdings there. I won’t say that the demons will be welcoming, but you could build a home there.”

“Are you telling me to go to hell?” The general asks, “how can you be so sure of our deaths here? We drove out humans once, we can do it again.”

“Hestia are communications working or are we too far out?” you ask your suit.

A few moments of silence pass.

“…energy signature is disrupting communications, total communication failure imminent,” Hestia warns.

“Do we have time to create a portal out? The second layer of hell should suffice for their needs.”

“...yes, please make the preparations quickly.”

“Did you capture any footage of the previous attack? I’d like to see it on the laptop.”

“No response?” The general asks.
>>
You open the cockpit, and drop out in front of the general. She is surprised that you left the protective suit, she wants to try to kill you, but your compulsion stops her from even thinking about it long enough to try.

“Just stay there for a moment, look at this while you wait,” you say handing her the laptop.

While you assemble the frame for a mirror portal from components you pull from your pack the general watches the attack footage.

The probes you left around capture a massive energy blast descending from the sky. The encampment the ghaele built is vaporized by the blast unleashed when it hits the ground.

“A trick. This is showing lies!” The general smashes your laptop again the bars of a cell.

“That wasn’t very nice, the footage wasn’t fabricated and the weapon that did that is almost here,” you tell her, “but going to hell is your way out.”

There is a shimmering of mana as the portal forms.

“Go through yourself and come back, I’m not lying to you.”

Unable to resist your power the general does so, she is confused as to why you would help when she returns.

“You want something, what is it?” she demands of you.

“The device you used to terraform this land, where is it?”

“I told you it fused with the earth, you can’t retrieve it once it is used,” the general says, “fine, assuming the attack was real then we are unable to defend against it, so we must use your portal out. I will begin the relocation myself.”

“I have prepared a safe area to relocate the ghaele refugees,” Hestia says via a drone the exits the portal, the drone is spinning at you like it is your fault the general is female.

“There were some soldiers trying to assault this fortress I’m going to check up on them, I’m sure everything here you have covered,” you tell Hestia.

Willing the walls around you to warp, you form a wide staircase leading back up to ground level . It gently curves around to be easily accessible from the keep’s main entrance.

The general raises an eyebrow at you, clearly impressed, “and so you show your power now? Just how much strength are you hiding?”

“Sorry but you should worry about her more,” you gesture to the drone before getting back into the power armor. The general is confused since you pointed to a robot not a woman.

While the general goes to command the ghaele to relocate you sneak back out of the fortress.

Back in forest you find the soldiers still wandering around lost in the mental trap you crafted. The commander is very angry, she knows that this is some sort of trap but she can’t figure it out. Any more stimulants and she’ll hit critical toxicity, you can already feel the drugs she has taken eating away at her as it is.

What to do with them though, you have just enough time to either send them back to the cave they were hidden in or you could have them escape with the ghaele.

>we save his life as a child, but drop him on his head in the process

Fuck.
>>
You drop down in front of the soldiers once again, and slowly undo then your pervious work. The soldiers all take aim at you immediately.

“Came back to taunt us? Who sent you here? Was it internal security?” The commander demands.

“Look we didn’t get off on the right foot, I’ll even apologize for that mental trap I put you in. But you need to leave now. The marquis is free and the Ghaele are leaving, problem solved,” you tell them.

“No, you will surrender immediately and then we will confirm things in the fortress,” the commander says, you can tell that the damage from the stimulants is only getting worse.

“You shouldn’t use so much of those drugs,” you tell her, “you will wind up killing yourself.”

“Shut up and remove the armor.”

You reach out with your healing aura and heal her. The stimulants are like some sort of toxins now that they have started breaking down, but you are able to purify her system and heal the damage done. In fact she is probably healthier than ever before when you finish.

“What did you just do?” The commander asks, she thinks that there is no way you could have healed her.

“I healed the damage you caused to yourself, now, are you going to listen?”

“I have to confirm the marquis is gone, I can’t trust your word ‘goblin king’ you could be using mind control on us still,” the commander’s words are agreed with by the soldiers.
>>
>>42950762
>to save the world we had to made him attack us but he wouldn't because he liked us and we had to brainwash him into believing that we were that one to kill his parents.
>now the cunning resemblance of the man who killed his parents with us made him hate us.
this is plot hook material
>>
“The marquis really did leave, after being stabbed by the ghaele general he yelled out the name of his skill, turned into a beam of light and vanished.”

A few soldiers cringe when you mention the marquis’ habit to yell out the names of his attacks. They now believe you’re telling the truth.

“You said the enemy is leaving? Then we can go to their prison, confirm the marquis’ escape and leave.”

A countdown time appears on your HUD, you have about a half hour before the energy signature arrives.

“If you go, you’ll be stuck following me to get to safety,” you warn, “the fortress is about to be destroyed.”

“We have to complete the mission,” the commander says.

The soldiers nod in agreement, you’ve convinced them, even the commander was convinced.

“Sorry, but we have to go, you can leave us to die if you are that worried about it,” the commander says, she is very stubborn and won’t budge on this issue, and it is costing her respect from her men.

The timer is counting down fast, after that speech you don’t have any time to argue with her.

“Fine, do it your way, but you’ll be going to hell for this.”

“I don’t care, let’s move.”

The soldiers start moving out, but there isn’t time for them to run there.

“No time to walk, try not to shoot each other.”

You grab them with telekinesis. You stack them onto your power armor and talk flight, your gravity manipulation helps you speed towards the fotress.

“Holy shit!” One of the soldiers shouts out, they are split between awe and terror as the watch the trees zip by below you.

You drop them off at the keep’s entrance with just a few minutes left to escape.

“Take the stairs down, and hurry there isn’t much time left,” you tell them.

The commander gives some hand signals and the troops move out rushing down the stairs.
>>
Spreading out into the dungeon basement they check around for the Marquis, a few of them poke at the portal in curiosity.

“Here, the Marquis was in this cell, who else would do something like this,” the commander finds what looks like a journal entry carved into the wall of a cell.

“If you are convinced, then it is time to leave go through the portal before everyone dies,” you tell her.

She nods and the soldiers hesitantly walk through the portal.

On the other side you see colored spheres floating about, demons checking out what is going on, drones flying about organizing everything, and the soldiers look on in shock.

A pair of drones flip the portal on its side and take off into the air.

“Welcome to hell!” You announce to the soldiers.

Your words are punctuated by the portal exploding as the weapon on the other side destroys the fortress.

You have nine looted orbs if you want to consume them.

Book of prayers – Dedicated to the worship of light and darkness, contains two spell abilites – Umbral magic and solar magic.

Arcane tome – This book of magic contains five spells – summon lesser shadows (3) cost 20, liquefaction (4) cost 10, silence (5) cost 10, Boil blood (5) cost 5, immolation (6) cost 25,

Tiny azure-fletched arrow – This arrow magically returns to the quiver of whoever shot it.

Blue-green cape – Makes the wearer more beautiful, providing a large increase to physical appearance.

OK, I say we eat 6 orbs. We can save the rest to see if anyone is interested. (There has been talk of having Evangeline eat an orb for a while now)

Obviously learn the magic and study the items.

>A city of immensely beautiful people, HELL YEAH.

No.

We accept people for who they are.

So should they. A meritocracy coupled with equality? Yeah nigga.

Of course, if people want to BUY stuff that makes them look good, well, we'd dominate the cosmetics market, that's for damn sure.
>>
>>42951996
Get out of here with your shit. Everything is free here, there is no buying.
And most people want to be attractive to others, so fuck off with that acceptance shit. Im not calling niggas ugly, im just saying that everyone being attractive is rockin. People as a whole would be happier knowing that they appeal to everyone. And the outliers wont really be treated all that different, because people honestly wont give that huge of a fuck about it beyond what its like in normal nonultrabeautiful societies.
>>
>>42952052
So the people who were already pretty are now double pretty because of the items, and the people who were just normal looking are now only pretty because of the items.

Please, people will find reasons to hate eachother, even if completely irrelevant.

I knew a guy who hated anyone who drives a Chrysler, he has never owned a Chrysler, nor has he ever suffered a traumatic experience related to that company, he's my brother, and he's a fucking moron.

People still segregate and hate others for simple reasons, and childish ones, as well.

You're naive.

What are the requirements to have those new abilities count as elements under our control for Elemental Avatar?
>>
>>42952181
What we have is true communism, and it works, until someone tries to grab power.

The only reason our society works is because Goblins don't have loyalty issues, the demons are both cowed by us, and respect us, and the humans have been more or less brainwashed by speeches.

If we had all normal people in our society it just wouldn't work.

As your rank increases you’ll have 10% per rank chance of developing control for elemental avatar.

Sealed letter
----------------------------------------

The letter contains a list of all citizens in the encampment, a list of all supplies and a request for some more specific supplies.

Tucked inside is a smaller folded piece of paper, addressed to the general.

It is a complaint about needed to deal with the black merchant, mainly about the merchant’s compulsion ability.

‘Journal’ Entry
----------------------------------------

Dear wall,

Hello fantastic wall! This is Marquis Gabriel Armstrong - The jewel of the western front! How fortunate for you to encounter me, now your life, er, construction will be filled with beauty during my stay here.

The villain has sent an army of strange orbs to steal my land. After killing several of them and blood spraying all over my journal I found corpses of strange people where I struck down the orbs. How odd! The villain must have created some teleportation system to terrorize me.

While trying to save a beauty from the orbs I was ambushed, true treachery! When I awoke I found myself trapped deep in a dungeon. The evil orbs come every day but the strength of you, the wall behind me, has supported me through resisting their interrogations. Little do they know that I can escape at any time!

Ahahaha, just wait villain I will pretend to be captured and prepare for your appearance here and then I shall defeat you for good this time!

Elemental Avatar modification
Increase HP
Increase Willpower (we make opposed willpower checks extremely often now, this needs to be maxed)
Increase Strength (just a little higher would cause giant form to push it over 100)

Here are the things:

>Ability modification
Elemental avatar
Protective Aura – You auras now give damage reduction for all elements you control to anyone of your choice inside your aura (defaults to all allies), protection granted is equal to twice your ranks in this ability.

>Ability gained
Spell absorption: Rank 1
This ability enables you to absorb spells. Any spells that are absorbed provide mostly temporary benefits. You have 1% per rank in this ability chance to absorb spells. Currently known buffs: your health or mana may be restored, gain temporary statistics, Higher ranks in this ability may have additional effects.
