>I've been considering this for quite some time
You are Isaiah Corneah, the youngest child of Lord Victor Corneah leader of house Corneah.

You are rudely awoken as the door to your bed chamber burst open slamming into the wall.

The woman standing in the door way is Iliza, your cousin.
"You are coming with me."
Two of the houses armsmen march into the room grabbing you by each arm.

"What the Frak do you think you're doing!"
She laughs, it's a mocking laugh one you've heard far too often as a child.
"Things are about to change in this house."
Your own men drag you through the corridor.
"Don't worry Izzy you won't end up like the rest of them, I have plans for you."

Izzy was what she had called you when you were children, back then you'd been best friends.
That had changed when you were both 16 and she caught you in bed with her best friend.
The name was now used mockingly.
You arrive at the throne room where your Father and siblings are in chains kneeling in front of the planets high priest.
The armsmen throw you to the ground next to them.

The priest nods at your arrival then turns to your father.

"Victor Corneah you and your children stand accused of heresy."

What...

You had never been your fathers favorite or overly close to your siblings but heresy?

"Who is the accuser, what evidence do they have?"
The old man blinks.

"Two of your fathers armsmen caught him painting strange symbols on his personal Knight, using blood in fact, they brought the matter to your aunt Lady Yvana."

"W-where is the evidence, my father would never do that."

A female voice interrupts.
"He was caught red handed, we even have pictographs."
That was your aunt, Iliza's mother.

A dataslate is shoved into your face.
It shows your father's Knight Gallant covered in strange runes and symbols the largest of which occupies a spot where the Aquila was before, it's a strange eight pointed star.

"F-father?"
The priest returns his attention to the lord of the house.
"Do you have anything to say for yourself Lord Victor?"

Father remains silent, perhaps considering his options.

"If you repent perhaps the Emperor will have mercy on your soul, and those of your sons."

"FUCK YOUR CORPSE EMPEROR!"
...That was your eldest brother, Gideon.

Your father bursts into laughter at that, and so does your other brother Raville.

There's only one way out of this.
You try to punch your brother in his heretical face, but your arms are held.
So you do the next best thing.
You swing your leg in a circle catching him in the mouth, you actually feel his front teeth give away against your leg.

THis only makes your father and other brother laugh harder.
"Now you're getting into the spirit of things son!"

"Fuck you all you heretical bastards, I have no Father, and I have no brothers!"
Where the fuck did this even come from.
The priest looks at you examining everything

You Iliza whispers something to her mother who takes this opportunity to speak up.
"Perhaps my youngest nephew is not cut from the same cloth as the rest of that particular line."

Shaking his head the high priest seems to disagree.
"Can we afford to take that risk?"

Your cousin steps in front of you.
"No. that's why we give him the opportunity to prove himself, he can serve as a freeblade and
crush the Emperors enemies until he's proven himself,
There are several wars in the sector and we were already sending a contingent.,

You hit him with the pistol with a cracking sound.
The high priest nods,
"Very well, I do see some wisdom in that decision, he may be planning something, we will simply leave him in the dungeon for now."

Iliza seems unfazed as ever.
"Come on, I'll help you prepare."

She leads you the the bay where your knight paladin is docked, you haven't usued it in over a year, your father and brothers were fare more martially inclined, you spent most of your time at court, especially with the the local women.

Fucking idiot, why would you choose the autocannons when the autocannons are more cost-efficient in terms of dakka to wound ratio? Also, autocannons fire more shots then autocannons and have twinlinked (Something autocannons don't have) that make them even more accurate. Don't even try to argue that more WAAC players choose the autocannon over the autocannon because its obvious mathhammer wise that the autocannon is better then the autocannon.

You decide to find out just what you're up against once you make planetfall.

Ignus one of the more senior Knights is happy to inform you.
"Isiah!, Great to see you, ready to bash in some heads are you?"

You nod, the older man has always been rather enthusiastic, he pilots a Knight Crusader armed with a Thermal cannon, and an avenger Gatling cannon.

"So have you heard what we're going up against?"

He pats you on the back.

"My boy haven't you heard, we're getting the chance to show old Greeny What-for!"

He also acts like one of those stereotypical over enthusiastic imperial guard commanders.

YOu also take the time to check on your Knight Titan, worried that Iliza would have tampered with it.

But it seems that she was telling the truth, she wants you to fail all on your own.

The rest of the journey takes roughly a week,
You spend some time with the arms men, who seem happy with the attention.

You exit the warp and move into orbit of Acherus prime, which is a fairly minor world with some minor industry and agriculture that controls a major warp route to the Damocles gulf it's population before it was invaded was roughly 4 billion.

I like it, but you need to work on your spelling and grammar. You might also want to read Titanicus and the Titan comic by Dan Abnett. You say a quick prayer to the Emperor as the transport ship comes into land.

Praying is something you've been doing a lot recently, you suppose it makes sense considering the circumstances.

You march in the back of the formation down the ramp onto the surface,
Acherus Prime is a fairly standard planet, it would be a nice place if the local terrain wasn't scarred by trenches and craters.

The sound of gunfire, both Auto and Las fills the air.

Iliza's voice comes across the vox.
"I will speak to the local commander, the rest of you remain here, the armsmen and Sacristans have orders to set up camp."

After half an hour or so she speaks again.
"Well Izzy, it looks like we have a job for you."
come to my position."

The Titan's sensors feed the direction the transmission is coming from into your brain.

You walk, carefully making your way through the Imperial Guard camp.

Many guardsmen sop their conversation to stare at you as you pass.

Once you arrive it takes a few moments to detach the wired connecting you to your metal frame.

You climb down the ladder that extends out of the hatch on the Titans back, and make your way into the commanders tent,
To see Iliza at a table discussing the situation with three officers.

"Ah there you are,
Lord general Augustus, this is Isiah one of our more junior knights,
he is not our best but he should be more than able to support the 231st in their mission."

THe General looks you up and down.
"You are sure he will be able to aid in taking back the manufactorum?"

"Aid is one of the few things that a Knight can absolutely guarantee commander. What are we up against?"

He nods.
"Most of the equipment for the PDF was manufactured on planet,
The main manufactorum fell roughly a week ago,
We're already seeing ork weapons and vehicles pouring out of it.
The attack on the site was led by an ork named
'Big Mek Smashgut' and his personal force of orkish walkers,
Who have not been sighted since.
We believe they are still there.
The war cannot be won while the orks can so easily replace their equipment."

Iliza takes over the breifing gesturing to a map on the table.

"You will escort a light armoured assault force on this location more forces cannot be spared if the front line is to hold , if you cannot reclaim it then you are to deny it to the orks by any means necessary.
Do you have any questions?"
>>
>>43123468
>you cannot reclaim it then you are to deny it to the orks by any means necessary
You mean blow it up?
If it would be taken back, would it help the reclamation effort? Would it's absence debiliate the planet much?

OOC question; are we from a feudal world? how civilised are we? What type is our Knight Titan?
>>
>>43123468
How many men are coming with us and what are they armed with?
>>
>>43123525
Semi feudal, the world itself was fairly advanced in some ways, but the orginization of a feudal world was still there.

You'd be considered fairly civilized, you are capable of speaking high gothic.

Your knight is a knight paladin with an Icarus autocannon mounted on the carapace.
>>
>>43123537
>>43123525
To frequent withthe question.

We are at the bottom right now, to many question would be suspicious. Just do what you´re told for the time.
>>
>>43123654
These aren't the sorts of questions that draw suspicion. They're the kind that help us not die on the field.
>>
>>43123654
So what do you suggest? We just walk into the battlefield, where presumably everyone with an anti-armor weapon will shoot at the biggest thing (which is with 90% certanty will be us), without any info on our numbers, and orders?
>>
"So blow it up?"
She nods.
"Correct."
"If it would be taken back, would it help the reclamation effort? Would it's absence debilitate the planet much?"

The general answers this one.
"The supplies could be useful, but muck of the equipment is below the standard equipment for the guard, stub guns and light flack, some light APCs,
While important to the locals it is considered disposable, they should be able to rebuild in a decade or so."

"Alright so what forces can be committed to this?"

"You will be supported by a Platoon of mechanized infantry, a squadron of Leman Russ battle tanks and the third armored sentinel formation.
In an emergency we are prepared to send three valkyrie dropships to support you as well as one vulture gunship,
but only in an emergency."

Iliza nods.
"I believe those are enough answers for now, you may forward any more questions to the leader of the assault force, one Lieutenant Elodia."

As you leave the tent you are greeted by a guardsman standing in front of a small lascannon armed walker.
"Sir, I am to show you to the staging ground for the assault."
He salutes.

You nod quickly.
"Very well just give me a moment to mount up."

You quickly reconnect with your Knight and are led by what you assume is a sentinel
To an area where the guardsmen seem to actually be doing work,
Refueling vehicles and carrying shells.

Arriving next to eight more sentinels the guardsman dismounts surprisingly quickly and
salutes a woman dressed as an officer polishing one of the machines,
This particular walker is far better maintained than the others.

"Ma'am, this is the support the general could provide."

She salutes him back wearily and looks uo examining the titan.

You climb out and walk up to her.

"Glad to be of service."

She smirks.

"So you're our knight in shining armour huh?" She looks up again.

"It's a little bigger than mine."

"I would hope so, you're far to pretty for me to think you're a man,
anyway we both know it's the amount of kills that matter in the end."

She laughs before gesturing to the numerous guns on the Titan.

"Seems like you've a bit of an advantage in that, sure you're not compensating for something?"

Behind her the guardsmen begin to mount up, nine sentinels in total armed with a mixture of las and autocannons, , seven chimeras full of men, and three Leman Russ battle tanks.

The tanks form a wedge in front of the chimeras, while the sentinels take up positions on the flanks.

"Oh I ensure you I don't need any compensation."

The lieutenant shakes her head.

"Well we'd better get moving, we've got work to do, you can keep trying to flirt with me once we're done.

You take up position at the rear of the formation, ready to move up as needed.
The final guardsmen climb into the chimeras, and you set out.

The journey is fairly quick half an hour or so, you run into a few lone orks who are dealt with quickly.

The smoke is the first thing you see, thick black clouds of it fill the sky,
Then poking over a hill you see the chimneys spewing far more smoke than they were designed for into the sky.

Finally as you crest the hill you see the manufactorum,
The orks are everywhere, there must be two hundred, not to mention the smaller gretchen clambering all over the building, stripping plates off for extra bits of metal.

The first ork sees you not long after and shouts to the others, soon the hoard is up in arms clambering into badly made flatbed trucks, shooting potshots, and generally making a racket.

A group of walkers stomp out of the main door 20 or so smaller one armed ones around 5 larger ones with two arms and two guns, and one four armed monstrosity.
Then they charge.
"WAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!!!"

>There are several different targets you could focus on.

>Move up to prevent the orks from getting into melee with the guardsmen.
>Cover them from the rear(Choose to target either trucks walkers or infantry.)

You move to the flank, splitting your fire stubbers and autocannons focusing on the infantry and your battlecannon focusing on the walkers,

The orks on foot die in droves, falling to the waves of las, bolt and autogun fire, the green tide seems to break against the treads if the imperial guard.

Some of the smaller orks move to run, only to be trampled by the larger members of the mob.

The walkers fair slightly better, but still lose atleast five of the smaller ones
And two of the larger one of which fell to your battlecannon.

Most of them seem to focus their fire on you, and not a single shot penetrates the shield.

The largest walker stomps in your direction lascannon fire reflection against some primitive forcefield , it's speakers come to life.

"OI BIG GIT! I'M GONNA USE YER SHINY BITZ TO FINISH ME STOMPA!"

If he wants a fight you'll give him one, you set the external voxcasters to maximum volume.
"COME AND GET ME XENO!"

You dash away from the imperial lines,
So that he will have to present his flank to the guardsmen.

He falls for it without a second thought, charging you, while roaring through it's speakers.

You focus fire on him, to buy you enough time to brace yourself.

The battlecannon leaves several large dents the armour, along with some smaller ones caused by the autocannons.

Then he's upon you a frenzy of mechanical limbs covered in spikes, spinning blades, and crushing claws.

They scrape against your armour scratching the paint in several areas, but causing no real damage,
You feel as though you just received paper cuts across your chest and shoulders.

Pistons straining, you block two of the arms with your cannon, while swinging the chainsword in an arc.

You have to admit the ork has some skill,
He manages to bring a buzzsaw tipped arm up quickly enough for the two blades to collide,
Shattering his weapon against yours.

You finish the swing chopping the arms off, and leaving a large gash in his armour.

"GOTTA ADMIT UMIE, DATS A ROIGHT GUD CHOPPA YA GOT DERE, OI'll PUT IT TA GUD USE!"

You quickly remove the other arm on that side.

The ork manages to push the battle cannon out of the way, bringing the other two arms to bare.

Unfortunately for him, that let you line it up with his machines body,

The first shot, rips a hole in the armour, revealing the ork sitting at the controls.

The second, would have killed him, if he hadn't pulled a lever just before.

The Mek is launched out of a hatch at the top of the Dredd blindingly fast.
"OI'LL GET YOU NEXT TIME UMIE!"

The guardsmen took surprisingly few losses, two sentinels and a chimera along with one squad.

"Not bad big guy, I still got more kills though."

Elodia apparently doesn't want to let you rest on your laurels just yet.

You cut a hole through the main door to the manufactorum in order fit in.

And you immediately see that you were lucky.

The machine that occupies the center of the room is about two thirds finished.
It's twice as tall as your titan
with a massive gun in the chest, and two stubby legs, one of the arms mount what looks like a massive rapid fire autocannon, while the other is a gigantic chainsword.

The guardsmen that follow in their sentinels sum the situation up nicely.

"By the Emperor... I thought these things were just rumors..."

The lieutenant cuts him off.
"Looks like they aren't, luckely this thing isn't active, if it was... well this fight would have been much harder,
In a way I guess we're lucky, if these resources had been made into tanks, well I doubt we'd have won that fight."

Blow it the machine up.
>>
>>43128843
Claim the machine for the Emprah. This will be a lovely addition to the military's forces.
>>
>>43128843
Do you happen to have any spare explosive munitions? Cuase im thinking of blowing it up and I don't think I have enough ammo to do it.
>>
>>43128843
Could they still be made into tanks? The colonel said that the supplies can come handy, we could use all the ammo if nothing else.
>>
>>43128843
Melt it down, make tanks.
>>
>>43128862
>>43128898
They said to blow up the place ony if we are in a thight spot, not if we want fireworks
>>
>>43128862
>>43128898
Why would we blow this glorious machine up? It's big, and it's probably a lot more powerful than any comparable units that this army has.

Even if there's a good reason to not pilot it, it's still useful as a big pile of spare parts.
>>
>>43128959
It's Xenos tech. Anyway it would work for us as it's an ork design.
>>
>>43128942
I second this action. Blowing up the ork's makeshift titan could demand the manofactorum, and melting it down can assist the guard.

Also lets tell the lieutenant that it would be wise to build a defensive perimeter and tell high command of our victory.
>>
You could always vox for orders.
>>
>>43128942
The only real answer
>>
>>43129093
Do that then.
>>
>>43128998
Would it be heretical to use Xenos tech as a human?

I'm not very familiar at all with WH40k lore/politics/tech/factions...

>>43129093
Check in and update command with our mission status, request advisement on big mech, ask permission to claim it for ourselves.
>>
>>43129132
Very. it'd be an executable offense unless you were left with no choice, and even then.
>>
>>43129132
It is, but the Techpriests might find "salvagable" goods.
Vox for orders
>>
>>43129132
If you are powerful enough, you can get away with using xeno tech, we are nowhere near that. Not to mention ork tech only works for orks, as they have a low level gestalt psychic field that smooths over the errors and problems with their ramshackle tech
>>
>>43129132
At your level, there is a chance you could get away with it, but this probably wouldn't work for you, same as anything else ork related for that matter.
>>
>>43129177
>>43129197
>>43129205
Okay, so I guess we're not gonna be taking this thing for ourselves then.

>>43129230
Radio in to update command, ask if they'd rather use this thing to patch up existing forces or melt it down for spare Leman Russes.
>>
>>43128843
You decide to Vox command.and are greeted by the voice of Iliza
"Oh Not dead quite yet hmm?, Don't worry we'll have those valkyries in the area to save you in a few moments if you need them."

Smug bitch...
"That won't be necessary, the manufactorum has been cleared,
But it appears that the orks have been attempting to make some sort of primitive titan,
It's not quite finished yet and some of the parts could be salvageable.
I thought I would call for further orders."

There's a few moments of silence, before the voice of the general comes through.

"This 'titan' how large is it?"
You respond describing the size of the titan as well as armament.

"Well then, good work, that could very well have broken through our lines, I'll let your lady know to put you down for a commendation.
Tell the men to secure the facility and make sure no orks remain,
The valkyries will drop off reinforcements as well as a delegation from the mechanicus shortly."

With that the signal drops.

Elodia takes it's place.
"So what did the brass want?"

"We're to secure the facility and clear out any more orks, reinforcements and some techpriests should be arriving soon."

You can almost hear her roll her eyes.
"Great cogboys, they always give me shit over the modifications I make."

Stand guard, let the lighet units secure the premiter.
>>
>>43129893
This.
>>
>>43129847
Secure the facility set up some defensive areas and wait.
Also we should be as nice as possible to our cousin let's not play her games.
>>
>>43129847
Well I can say you're out patrolling for orks if you want. I don't like em either since they give me grief over my Titan, or worse insist on inspecting every inch of it, but we kinda need it taken apart and rendered down for supplies for the war.
>>
>>43129847
Send mid-weight units to check the rest of the inside of the building, send scouts to patrol outside and secure the perimeter in case there's ork stragglers/scouts that weren't in the fight, and the heaviest units stay inside, giving us a chance to hit on Elodia.
>>
>>43129908
Agreed, but we should be -condescendingly- nice, because we really are better than she is.
>>
>>43129847
reinforce the factory and make sure the titan is empty. no one wants to get shot in the ass by the one last ork hiding in the titan
>>
>>43130052
>>43129908
Doesn't she have some annoying childhood nickname as well we could use?
>>
>>43130101
yeah, that could work well.
>>
>>43130101
I've personally been calling her Illy, but I don't think OP's confirmed any nicknames for her.

There is one confirmed for us though.
>>
>>43130101
You did call her Lizzy before things went to crap.
>>
>>43130138
Dropped my trip
>>
>>43130101
Maybe take her drinking and get her to reveal something embarrassing or at least finding out why she saved us.
>>
>>43130216
BECAUSE SHE IS A HERETIC, WHY ELSE?
>>
>>43130257
Revised plan take her drinking, wait till she passes out, tattoo the eight pointed star on her, call a priest, chill in titan
>>
>>43130216
I still think that, at some point, we need to jerk off somewhere where we know Lizzy will catch us in the middle of it.

>>43130336
We would have to wait for the tattoo to heal, and she'd probably find a way to be rid of it before that happens.
>>
>>43129847
We should take up a position outside the main door. Our Knight isn't much good inside the manufactorum and the incoming brass might need some AA support if they encounter enemy fliers.
>>
>>43130359
No need to jerk off. We're going to plow the lieutenant and Lizzy is going to find out.

She obviously wants our dick, we're going to give it to everyone but her.
>>
>>43130397
Speaking of plowing the lieutenant...

>>43130380
This, and have Elly accompany us so we can hit on her while we wait for the gearheads to arrive.
>>
>>43130397
She might be a bitch but we do owe her for standing up for us, so we should at least let her beg for it.
>>
We should invite her into our "cockpit" of sorts to show her the shinny levers and buttons.
>>
>>43130609
She's a smug bitch on a high horse, she isn't going to beg. And her standing up for us seems to be a more political thing, we owe her nothing.

The best way to handle people like her is to deny them the things they want (like attention). So we should ignore her and her bullshit, surpass her in skill and prestige, then continue ignoring her.

It'll drive her mad.
>>
She is our cusin you sick fucks, she doesn't want no dick.
>>
>>43130609
Letting her see the goods might be a good way to tease that out of her.

We should plow everyone close to her, and just tease Iliza with glimpses and suggestions.

>>43130662
And one knob in particular.

>>43130664
Oh, she'll beg if we drive her to it. There's no reason that we can't ignore her and make her pay attention to us by positioning ourselves where she simply can't ignore us while we grip it and rip it.
>>
>>43130710
Wait, a noble house of knights not being ok with incest? What planet do you come from?
>>
>>43130715
Plow any women she's close with, bromance the men.

If we can get all the other knights to be our buds it'll really get under her skin.

>>43130710

There's no reason we can't plow the men as well.
>>
>>43130749

Inbreeding is Slaanesh worship and punishable by execution.
>>
>>43130759
We should also be really polite and nice to her especially around others.
>>
>>43130784
Inbreeding is extremely common in noble lines the hapsburgs are a good example.
>>
Damnnit QM, why you couldn't just make our rival a guy?
>>
>>43130829
Condescendingly nice.
>>
>>43130784
Good thing we're not breeding then. If we ever get Lizzy to crack and admit she wants the D, it'll be all be recreational.

>>43130829
>We should also be condescendingly polite and nice to her especially around others.
fify
>>
Ohshi, we're over the bump limit. New thread, OP?
>>
>>43130843
and? That was old Terra before Chaos was known. Now? BLAM we get executed.

>>43130860
Even more Slaanesh worship anon.
>>
>>43130883
Still works to our advantage to tease her to admit that she stares at us with cocklust in her eyes. We can use that against her.
>>
Where the fuck are those gunships? If it doesn't arrive soon, we'll really become heretics.
>>
>>43130883
Good to know you're an absolute authority on chaos worship.
Gee, I wonder how you know so much about chaos in the first place...
>>
>>43130780
none at all just keep things not heretical

Lets take lliza's knight and give it to Elodia for a "trial run" and bribe on of the magos with a toaster saying that her knight was sent back to a forgeworld for "maintence" because the house Sacristan is on vacation.
