Alaria and you started to work on her passion, servoskulls. You wondered if you had a passion of yourself and the only thing that came to your mind was plasma and energy weaponry, none of your actual gear used solid slug ammunition and with a few exceptions you cannot quite recall yourself actually using them. After some hours you two had managed to reprogram your old servoskulls, Morti and Wurgen, to follow and protect her for the rest of her life, right after that she was so pumped and happy to work with you that she immediately started working on another project, it was of course, another servoskull, this one was created from an old man that died of old age, with her help you fitted it with a pict-recorder, a small vox-caste and a micro heterodyne transistor. With the help of a third techpriests you were able to create a small portable screenthat would be linked with the servoskull. That way she would be protected by two of them and surveilled by a third one. This process didn’t worked on both ways thought, you could see and hear what she did but she couldn’t see you unless you started a conversation with her, it was a protection measure. For you, Alaria was precious and you didn’t want her to observe the many horrors that you might encounter.

When you were with your daughter time seemed to fly. She was eleven years old when you suddenly disappeared from her perspective and she had now reached the twenty year milestone, you had surely spent more than half of her life without her… doubts started invading you and for a second your firm hand trembled and almost made you lose the delicate tool. After doubting for what felt like a small eternity you managed to gather the enough strength to actually ask her about the topic.
>>
Woo after long last I finally caught it and can participate.

“Well I… I know you are not my real father. I still don’t know why you went away and all my attempts to dig on that topic have been halted by the Inquisition. The few things that they told me is that you bravely fought against mutants and other fiends and that you were badly injured… I don’t care that you aren’t my real father! Your homeplanet thinks of you as a great hero and so do I, I’m proud of you Daddy!”

Sadly, the day came to its end and after hours of tinkering and talking you two had to once again, depart ways.

Over the course of the following weeks you learned incredible secrets and knowledge that was kept away from the normal Imperial citizen. Daemonical comprehension, Chaos combating instruction and the hidden history of the Imperium, still; even someone like you, who had the everlasting mission of hoarding information, felt that still, the best day was the one in which you were given permission to share some time with Alaria.
>>
>>43197401

Time went by and the day of your mission was getting closer and closer. From time to time you were questioned about what gear you wanted to wear during that dangerous time. At the end you ended decanting for upgrading your armor to a fully ironclad power armor suit that had been covered in small protective sigils and had several purity seals on it, you also asked for various types of grenades to carry with you wich were the following: one stasis grenade, one psyk-out grenade, one frag and one krak. As for ranged weapons you decided to keep with your trusty Arc and Phospex pistols and also your beloved Acidic Plasma Gun, you also decided to carry with you a Lascannon and a Power sword as new equipment.

Telematha, your planet, was creating soulless clones and experimenting with a chip that created Cerebrum Synapses and managed to fabricate a fake soul. You are considered a great hero for them but the Inquisitor believes that it is bait to attract you back. We still don’t know what is going on in there but you’ll discover it. The Inquisitor has talked with you about your evolution as a warrior. He is proud of you and thinks that you are ready; still there are still tons of things that he can teach you, he doubts if you should leave now.

>Tell him to brief you your mission and start already. Say goodbye to Alaria and enter in the transport that will carry you back to your planet.
>Tell him that you still need more training to get used to your new equipment.
>Tell him if they can teach you during the travel.

Well provided Hector survives this gig, he would be press ganged into the inquisition (or the mechanicus equivilent) so hard it would be hillarious.

Plenty of potential for future storylines just doing normal inqusitor jobs if you wanted to continue the MC's epic.
>>

>Tell him that you still need more training to get used to your new equipment.

You considered it for hours, it was good to be back, you really missed your old forges and the particular smell of their oiled machines, still, you wouldn't return as a tourist but as an spy and an avenger. You wanted to become even stronger, to continue with the mission that had driven you into so many dangers and to do that you had to meet with Inquisitor Iantorus Minal to tell him your opinion personally.

During your time as an wayward techpriest you had faced many terrifying things, reflection of Eldar War Gods, Hybrids between Astartes and several Xenos, enraged Orks, Daemons... Still, the Inquisitor of the Ordo Malleus was one particular thing that scared you most. It was a sarcophagus that carried with it a massive two handed sword that was jet black and whose chassis moved with eight spidery bionic legs that ended on scythes and seemed to be a massively powerful psyker. What was inside of the coffin and why was in there was something that puzzled you. He seemed to be covered in a veil of mystery that confused and scared you equally. Every time you saw him several new questions formed on your brain about him and not even after months of seeing him daily for hours during your classes you had became used to his terrifying presence.

As you called and entered into his personal chamber you found him crawling on the ceiling. His room seemed more like a strange area rather than an habitaculum. It lacked any kind of furniture and from the incredibly high ceiling hanged chains or long scrolls that carried withing trinkets, purity seals and a great array of variegated things. Looking at him hanging down even gave him a bigger spider like impression.

With a surprising agility it jumped and turned mid air to heavily land on its clawed legs.

"Well, well, such a pleasant surprise. What is the motive of your presence if I may know?"
>>

Are you still planning to run that fallout quest? If so, I'll play when I can. Class is getting stressful here too.

>Hector
>>
>>43197917

He was polite, but in a way that seemed wrong. How could such a dangerous individual act so politely? Everything on him reeked of wrongness.

"I am here to inform you that I want to stay for longer so I can train with my equipment to a fully extent."

"Heracor, time isn't our ally..." He answered somewhat cantankerously. "Still..."

Iantorus jumped back to his chains where he seemed to be most comfortable.

"One month and no more... B'xir and I will place and exam after that time. If you manage to surpass our expectations we will let you infiltrate on your homeworld and... try to discover what is the purpose of your creation and what the Benefactors are. Fail us and I will personally lead the Invasion until Telematha is... completely purged. The Telemathans are playing with a danger that they don't even comprehend and every day they are closer to liberating something that they don't have a chance to fight back."

You were somewhat struck back by that. Complete invasion and destruction? It was true that you barely had memories of that planet but it was still your origin. You didn't wanted to be a planet orphan like Liwet. The Inquisitor hanged down and let the handle of the huge black sword that it carried on its back be only mere inches from your face, then he continued speaking with its old and raspy voice.

"You might think that I am a tyrant but you have to trust me...the destruction of an entire forge world is nothing compared with a complete daemonic invasion...Do you want to know how did I end enclosed in this Sarcophagus?"

>Hear his tale.

>Are you still planning to run that fallout quest? If so, I'll play when I can. Class is getting stressful here too.

I don't know. Questing is being pretty straining to me because time zone shenanigans. I do love fallout but I don't think I know enough of American culture to properly run it and if I stick to my plan of doing it in Mexico I think that there will be plenty of people who will be set back when they see that part of the thread is written on spanish.
>>
>>43197935
>>Decline and rest. You have to train extra hard for the rest of the month for their exam.
At least for now. Maybe after the exam.
>>
>>43197935
>Decline and rest. You have to train extra hard for the rest of the month for their exam.

"I would love to. Still, If I will have to endure an exam I want to rest as much as I can. I will be there to hear your tale once this is all over."

Iantorus didn't seemed to mind it, he did some kind of shrugging with his claw tipped legs and returned to whatever he was doing.

Slowly you returned back and meditated about your decision as you walked. The Space Station you were in seemed to be in a constant work state that was oddly silent. People walked here and there with the sign of stress and hurry on their faces yet there was little to none chitchatting or other similar noises that workplaces generate.

You returned back to your private room and stripped of all your dendrites, equipment and clothing until you were completely naked. After that you placed yourself on the bathtub and rested. You now knew that you were in fact vat-grown and thus sleeping in there didn't ticked you off. In fact, if felt even more pleasant than before now that you knew the truth. It then hit you, your quest of vengeance was secondary, you needed to seek the Truth. You had to travel to Telematha and discover all the dark ploys that are being practiced in its dark corridors, and for that you had to become cold and efficient. With a mental order you shut down your artificial anima and went to sleep as the soulless and fake creature that you were.

The next morning you woke up looking even paler, your eyes glowed differently and casted a different shade of hue. You were completely covered of bionics, you were inhuman but what really made you a monster wasn't what you had added to your body, but what it lacked.

On your HUD the message of your equipment being finally finished flashed several times; barely dressed and surrounded by a veil of apathy you left your room and headed into the forgery to receive them. You were given your newly created armor and weapons. It had many resemblances to standard Astartes armor but you cynically doubted that they would give you something as good. The Lascannon and Power Sword were pretty standard ones and besides a few purity seals and other decorations they weren't truly noteworthy.

With all your equipment ready you headed to B'xir's class. She would teach you how to weaponize your lack of soul and use it to instigate terror and create blasts of negative psychic energy. She was also planning with the local techrpiest turning your own skull into an Anima Speculum to further turn you into a walking reaper. Now that you were soulless you didn't cared much of that.

Several hours later you ended your classes and stealth and agility training and headed into Iantorus's class, he taught you how to scare fear incarnate and how to fight what couldn't be fought. Each day you ended completely exhausted and the few spare hours that you had went to training. After the first three days you noticed that you would have to focus on one single aspect because otherwise you wouldn't truly improve with how little time you had.

What should you focus on? ( Chose 1 )

>Melee combat with your Powersword and Powerblade

According to Inquisitor Iantorus there can be traitors everywhere, closer than we expect and your own personal experiences confirm his words. You better be ready to strike down anybody who suddenly decides to follow its own agenda.

Your powersword has been given the form of a Falcata, somewhat curvy and sickle looking. It crackles with blue energy bolts that illuminate with intensity and generate greats amounts of noise and vibrations. When it strikes is launches a small shockwave of energy and then its disruption field starts to dig into the jabbed materiel. It is a deadly weapon of elegant design that will be able to slay any foe that gets on your path. In comparison with your powerblade it is slower and heavier but its power is far wider.

The powerblade that you carry right now might be the third or fourth iteration, the past ones had been destroyed or even devoured. This one creates has a yellow/orange disruption field around its edge and softly hums as its power cell transfers its energy to the blade.
>>
>>43199207

After training you have discovered that with both weapons you can have several unique combat techniques.

>Twin-spirit:
You grab your powersword on your right hand, the one in which the hidden powerblade is stored. You enter into the power cell of the powerblade and connect it to the powersword. This way your Falcata is powered by its own energy and the spirit of the powerblade. If this is done it will gain a even bigger disruption field of varying coloration and its power will be increased several times. It will be so strong and powerful that to correctly wield it you will need both hands.

>Power Arc:
By touching the tips of both weapons you can create a great tension that will reflect in the form of a electric arc that will expand frontwards several feet as if it were a shockwave. This Arc can be lethal if done in a very close distance to the objective but in most cases it will paralyze and leave people unconscious or fry electronic circuits.

>Dual Wield:
After weeks you have managed to wield both weapons with some skill and dexterity. Dual Wielding both weapons will let you fight more enemies but cause less damage and be more prone to failing attacks.

Once again, it was now or never. You had learned how to distinguish the different daemons and their patron gods and how to combat them, you had learned how to use your lack of soul in your advantage and even how to turn it into a weapon. It was time.

You walked towards Iantorus and requested his exam.

"I am ready." You firmly said.

Followed by a group of servitors and troopers you were taken to a small opening that would now act like a gladiatorial arena. Since it was a doomed area inside a Space Station you were illuminated by thousands of little stars and a mantle of gas of a million colors. There were several people there who were ready to observe your test, including a massive Astartes that wore a grey armor.

You expected some cultist, xenos beast or even a daemon, but not what appeared in front of you.

Only mere seconds after being deployed on the Arena and left for your own a gate opened and from it a slim and androgynous figure appeared.

There were several faces looking around, Iantorus, B'xir, the Grey Astartes and other personnel, including a couple of Techpriest that somehow gained access and managed to get a seat. You looked at them all trying to find on their faces a reason but they all showed hate or curiosity. It couldn't be a casualty, it had to be planned by Iantorus.

The enemy that you were tasked to fight, was the Eldar witch Elyadien.

She still wore her armor from Ulthwé, black, white and red decorating her wraithbone shell. She looked more fierce than before, several sparks of a fire like energy spawned on her eyes and she fiercely carried with herself a massive Witchblade.

"I now know your dark past, abortion of the Yngir... I was blind but now I can see clearly how dark you are. Your soul isn't a beacon of light but a burning tree. You are destruction that will bring destruction. And for that you must die!"

She screamed something in her alien language and proceeded to stride with a great speed and agility towards you as she raised her blade and readied to strike.

>Block her with your own Powersword.
>Dash away and use this turn to overcharge your powersword with the Twin-Spirit technique.

>Dash away and use this turn to overcharge your powersword with the Twin-Spirit technique.

You roll and somersault out of her destructive path, she's still a creature fitted with an inhuman agility and she's soon once again back on your heels. Still, you also have agility on your own and while avoiding and running from her you manage to open the energy distribution panel, somewhat hastily you removed the connectors and placed it on the power cell of your power sword.

Doing so required you focusing on your task and leaving everything behind, when it was done you pressed the activation rune and muttered the prayers as fast as you could. The weapon activated and a corona of destructive energy of shifting colors surrounded your weapons as you turned around and observed your surroundings in the search of her.

She was way closer than you expected, so close that she was in fact already jumping and throwing herself into you, ready to plunge her weapon into your chest. On the last second you managed to parry her attack with your blade. The contact between both weapons created a cascade of sparks and electric arcs of several colors.

"I will not be the monster that you believe me to be! There is no need to fight!" You screamed at her.

"That was what the Jasdevi Craftworld believed! They were constructors and artisans and preferred to live in hiding! Their deaths will haunt you down for eternity. I will make sure of that!"

Elyadien was the first one who retreated back and flexed to attack again.

"They were doomed already by the Orks! What could I have done?"

You twisted your adamantium spine backwards and used your massive torque to retaliate. Alien and Imperial alloys clashed once again with an impact that rejected both attackers, you still managed to stay still due to your heavier weight and bigger size, she fell backwards several feet but managed to stand up with a quick somersault.

"I look you and I see a monster, the spawn of two opposing fathers! You don't truly know what you are do you? Lucky you! I will destroy you before you do...who knows what point might you even be able to reach if I let you know it all."

Several glowing runes started appearing around her like dancing wisps, her entire silhouette started to get covered in a dim light and her sword became more and more blurry, as if it were starting to get surrounded by a strange mist.

>She might be readying some strange majyyk. Move away and change to your Plasma Gun.

You moved back and grabbed your trusty plasma gun, just as you aimed at her and pressed the trigger Elyadien sunk her blurry blade on the ground and it seemed to combust into a sea of dark mist that turned everything dark, much to the dismay of the observers.

Your following shoots were done blindly and without pointing at anywhere particularly, the green bolts of energy didn't managed to create a great ball of light with them and thus they were of little to no effort when it came to illuminating.

You hoped that your psy-blind implant was strong enough to hide your presence from her, still there were more senses out there and due to her alien nature who knows how could she find you in the middle of all that mist.

>Turn yourself into a beacon of light. Raise your hand and dendrite flamer along with your phospex pistol and power sword and generate as many light as you can. Hopefully it will be enough to dissipate the dark mist.

You remembered the vicious cultists of Khorne that you fought against more than a decade ago. They rejected tactics and preferred to attack directly and without any remorse; such mindless ferocity ended being their perdition, for each of our fallen warriors several of theirs died. You are far above them, you better use this new environment on your advantage and adapt. Adapting is one of the best things that humans do, the reason they are on such different worlds all across the galaxy, even if you sometimes feel that you aren't human anymore you will show her that you are as adaptable as the rest of humanity.

After getting on one knee you place your left hand on your left ear and use your right hand to grab your Arc gun, then you mutter a pray to the Emperor and let the different spectral visions take place. Soon enough your other senses become more dominant and let you see in ways that your simple eyes couldn't.

All around you there is movement and noise, people who move nervously and try to leave or get defensive, thinking that the vile Eldar will attack them too. With the exception of the Inquisitor and the Grey marine they all chatter and move like scared rats. Slowly you manage to filter their steps, their heartbeats and nonsensical babble, and then you see it.

Elyadien was slowly advancing towards you, her own pride made her believe that you would fall under such a simple trap. Just as she was about to finish you with a single slash you raised your pistol and aimed at her.

She had no time to react and the arc of energy directly hit her on the head. It was a great blow to her but she somehow managed to discharge the excess of energy onto the ground and turn a mortal voltage into a mere shock.

The mist suddenly dissipated and revealed you two to the public. You might have managed to get the first blood but the fight was far from over.

Sorry guys but I gotta end it now. Shame, I was having fun. Anyway, 30 minutes for questions and such.

Will Oihan turn up and try to kill us as well?
>>
>>43201373
Nah, Oihan is a bro. I'm still dating her real counterpart, she's a bro irl too.

Liwet would be more likely, given her birth, and being conditioned by Karelia. They already had to purge Melli after all.

will we be stopping by cloud city?
>>
>>43201493
What cloud city?
>>
>>43201507
the one we left our 2 ship cleansing buddies on with their kid.
>>
>>43201526
Oh yeah, Melchisidor's cloud. I guess we could make a stop. I don't see why not.

Eugen and Faust should reappear, their daughter should be about 14 by now.

What happened to Karelia's ship? How bad was it in there?
>>
>>43201589
Imagine the situation, an Inquisitor goes full arch heretic and almost reaches daemon status. The surviving Deathwatch members were nervous and pumped, they went to her ship and started killing almost everybody, I don't think if you remember but the time Heracor got on her ship I also mentioned something about most crewsmen wearing a small medallion of Warpsteel.

Some people managed to survive by hiding or sealing themselves until things went somewhat calmer. The Chaplains came in and studied the survivors, those who were deemed pure were mind erased and shipped to different locations.

Since most of Heracor's Skitarii had little to no relation to the Inqusitress and thanks to Heracor's heroics they managed to survive and be considered pure. They all were mind erased ( with some exceptions, like Alaria ) and sent to the Explorator ship.

The ship was the salvaged of anything considered useful and destroyed.

So the Explorator ship doing well?
>>
>>43201807
Yup. That's another reason of why we are considered heroes for the Telemathans.
>>
>>43201807
I'd also like the answer to that. Is it run by the now bionic-less techpriestess (what a rare sight)?

>Is it run by the now bionic-less techpriestess (what a rare sight)?
Hell no. Arandano might be a techpriest but she is very far from being able to run a ship. The ship was surely taken by the Magos of Karelia's cruiser since they are above her in the hierarchy. During the 12 year time gap that we have suffered she might have become Magos herself and gotten control of the ship, or she could be dead. We will have to see.

You're planning for that to be our ride aren't you?

I have planned a fucking great arc that will hopefully become epic and finish with a fantastic ending. My writer's block is only with how to reach to that point.
