Welcome to Saiyan Quest. This takes place shortly after the war against the Tuffles, as the Saiyans look for more foes to battle in the absence of their old enemies.

Voting will operate on a first to five system, at least for the time being.

Dialogue is allowed to be added to votes, as are actions (though I'll ignore what I consider shitposting)

During battles, options will usually have a number assigned to them. After that vote has won, players will roll a d100, and have three chances to match or beat that number.

If a 100 is rolled, it is considered a crit success (unless 100 was the number you had to match).

If a 1 is rolled, it is a crit failure, regardless of whether or not the other two rolls are high enough to succeed.

If, during a battle, players want to attempt a writein action, that is allowed, but I am the one who will assign the number to it, so use caution

You're a young male Saiyan who fought in the war with the Tuffles. You are an average fighter for now, but have the potential of one of the greatest warrior races to roam the universe flowing through your veins. There is no limit to what you can accomplish through blood, sweat, and tears.

"A proposition?" King Vegeta demands of the Arcosian that stands before him.

"Yes," Emperor Polaron answers. "As you can see, our planet is not in very good shape. A great war amongst ourselves destroyed most of our people and resources. For years, we have prepared to invade a nearby world, but are still years away from having a chance of success."

"Get to the point," King Vegeta demands.

"In a mere hour, you decimated our armies," the emperor continues. "You reduced a city to ash with a single attack, and most of your people survived the battle. We may not yet be ready for our invasion of Planet Banassa, but you Saiyans are certainly strong enough."

Another Arcosian approaches, opening a briefcase filled with glittering chips and strange pieces of metal.

"We can offer you wealth and technology in exchange for Planet Banassa," Polaron explains. "Our technology is on par with the race you knew as the Tuffles, and we are not as soft-hearted as they. We can provide you with Battle Armor and ships to take you to any worlds you wish. Imagine it: Saiyan Warriors conquering a thousand worlds!"

"Are these Banassans strong?" Vegeta asks.

"Far stronger than us," Polaron confirms. "Their warriors might even be a match for Saiyans."

King Vegeta chuckles, turning towards you and the other Saiyans.

"Who wants to go conquer Banassa?" he asks.

The other Saiyans erupt into cheers.

As the other Saiyans roar in approval and excitement, you remain silent. Soko notices this, and questions you on it, his voice barely audible with the loud noise your fellow Saiyans are making.

"What's wrong? Don't tell me you're afraid because that weakling said the planet's warriors are as strong as we are," he says.

He laughs at you.

"Come on, we've already shown that we're out of their league," he says. "We destroyed everything they threw at us, and if they are lying to us about this new planet, I'm sure King Vegeta will bring us right back here to kill them all."

The Arcosian's probably aren't a threat to the Saiyans, and you expect that Soko is right about what King Vegeta would do to them if they lied to him.

"Now stop being so worried and have a little fun," he instructs, turning and disappearing into the crowd.

It's a few days before everything is ready to go. The rocket King Vegeta's scientists constructed is refueled, and a small fleet of smaller rockets is provided to keep your people from being quite so cramped during travel.

The Arcosians bring food for your people, but are clearly unprepared for Saiyan appetites, as the food is gone in mere minutes, and a few unlucky Arcosians are devoured by some particularly hungry Saiyans. Things may have gotten worse had the Saiyans that ate Arcosians not dropped dead shortly thereafter.

King Vegeta has announced that you will be departing tomorrow, and the night has been spent eagerly readying for the next day.

Your stomach is growling, and you hate to fight on a completely empty stomach, so you decide to see if you can scrounge together some food.

You walk around the city-sized crater where your people are staying. Most of the Saiyans are awake, but a few have decided to get some sleep before the trip tomorrow.

You can't find a scrap of food anywhere you look. The other Saiyans most likely devoured it, and you don't think the Arcosians are going to risk bringing any more over.

Your stomach won't stop growling, so you decide to head into the wilderness and look for some food.

You fly out of the crater and begin looking around. Like Polaron said, the planet's kind of a dump, and your scouter picks up few living creatures in the wilderness.

You head towards the largest group of the creatures, and your scouter soon alerts you that you're right on top of them. You can't see them in the dark, but their power levels are at about twenty each.

You drop to the ground, and immediately hear the creatures moving closer.

One leaps at you from behind, but it isn't exactly quiet about its attack, and you quickly turn and kick it. You hear a sound that you assume is its neck breaking as its thrown back against a tree, and you hear the other creatures retreat deeper into the forest.

You approach the dead animal, a hairy, skinny, four-legged creature that comes about to your knees and is roughly as long as your arm. Its no feast, but you suppose it will do for a snack.

This single creature will do as a snack, but you came here looking for a meal.

You use your scouter to track the other creatures and pursue them into the forest, your higher power level allowing you to quickly overtake them.

You grab one by the tail and lift it into the air, quickly seizing and breaking its neck. The others continue to run, and you decide to let them go for now.

You fly up to one of the nearby trees and rip off a large branch, chopping it into pieces once it hits the ground. You shoot a weak energy blast, and your pile of wood bursts into flames, allowing you to cook the creatures before you devour them.

They aren't exactly delicious, but they're edible, and the growls of your stomach become much softer. You return to the crater and go to sleep.

The next day, you and the other Saiyans wake up and board the rockets. With your distrust of the Arcosians, you make sure to load into the rocket you took to reach Arcose.

The rockets take off and speed through space on a voyage that takes a few days. At least things aren't as cramped as before, so the trip is much more pleasant than the last.

"When we land on the planet, we are going to attack their cities and wipe them out!" King Vegeta announces. "But the Arcosians want the resources of this planet, so don't go burning down the forests or killing all of the animals. The Banassan people should keep us plenty entertained."

The ship soon lands, and you disembark along with the others, finding yourself in a clearing surrounded by thick forest.

King Vegeta and most of the other Saiyans immediately take off.

You decide to see if the Arcosians were right about the strength of the Banassans, and activate your scouter.

The device picks up two cities within its range, and thousands of power levels that you're pretty sure are Saiyans heading right for them. Within the cities themselves, you detect countless individuals with power levels of five hundred or above. In fact, you're pretty sure the Saiyans are terribly outnumbered.

Deciding on safety in numbers, you follow the other Saiyans to the nearest city. You can tell King Vegeta is there; his power level of 5,000 broadcasts clear as day on your scouter.

You soon spot a large city towering over the surrounding forest, and swarms of Saiyan Warriors zooming around it, firing energy blasts and diving into the streets. It seems they've managed to catch the Banassans off guard, giving the advantage to your people for now.

You see flashes of light erupt from the streets, and beams of light strike Saiyans with enough power to knock them out of the sky. It seems the Banassan's are fighting back hard already.

This is the kind of battle Saiyans live for.

You land just outside and rush onto the streets, getting your first look at the Banassans.

They're about as tall as the Saiyans, and rather muscular looking. They have light yellow skin, bright green eyes, bald heads, and flat, black noses.

You watch as one catches a punch thrown by a Saiyan female, then judo throws her over his head, sending her slamming on her back in the street.

He raises his foot to crush the woman.

Your scouter informs you that this warrior have a power level of 700, and that the Saiyan woman he early killed is stronger than you, with a power level of 650.

The Banassan man picks himself back up, not looking too badly hurt. The Saiyan woman does the same, though she fixes you with an angry look.

You guess she doesn't like having to be rescued.

"I don't know what you people are, but you'll pay for attacking this city," the Banassan vows, getting into a fighting stance.

As the blast comes towards you, you recover just in time to pull yourself out of the way.

The blast streaks past you, vanishing in the distance as you hold both hands towards the Banassan. Your palms glow and you fire a blast of energy of your own.

The Banassan's eyes go wide and his arm drop as he tries to move.

He doesn't move fast enough. Your blast hits him right in the chest, pushing him back a bit and drawing a pained grunt from him.

You fire another blast, this one catching him in the same spot, and a third that catches him in the face, pushing his head back and throwing him off balance.

You extend your hand towards you sprawled foe, preparing to finish him off with a final blast.

Before making the attack, you can't resist giving a little salute to the woman you saved, and if looks could kill, you would have burst into flames after you did it.

You fire the blast of energy, but the Banassan sits up, holding his hands out towards it. The attack strikes his palms, and he lifts them above his head, sending your attack soaring into the sky, where it strikes a Saiyan that was charging at another Banassan.

That Saiyan is hurt and begins to descend in disorientation, giving his foe an opening to kill him with an energy blast.

The woman smirks at you, watching the Banassan get back to his feet, breathing heavily but clearly still having enough energy to keep fighting.

"You aren't going to kill me that easily," he vows, leaping into the air and flying right at you.

As your foe comes screaming towards you, you let out a yell and fire another energy blast.

He pulls in his right hand, clenching it into a fist and backhanding your energy blast away. The Saiyan woman watches out of the corner of her eye as the blast slams into a building not too far away.

The Banassan holds his left hand towards you and fires a blast of his own.

"Take this!"

The blast hits you in the face and knocks you entirely off of your feet. The Banassan quickly reaches you and grabs you by your left ankle, spinning and throwing you into the building your blast just struck.

Between your blast and the force of you crashing into it, the building crumbles on top of you. You find yourself buried under tons of stone, and are forced to blast your way out of the rubble.

You're bleeding, and your breathing is heavy. You're hurt badly, and you used a good amount of energy in your fight, but you're alive.

What you see when you pick yourself up surprises you.

The Saiyan woman you saved stands over the Banassan, her foot crushing his throat. She looks over at you, an arrogant smirk on her face as she presses her full weight on the Banassan's throat and walks toward you.

"Consider us even," she tells you. "If you get yourself into a fight you can't win again, then don't expect my help."

As in, Bardock for example didn't have to be classified as too strong to send out to clear out a planet to be sold by Frieza (or King Cold, or whoever) later once he'd finished the job. With the way Raditz talked about it he sounded like sending your babies out shortly after birth to genocide an entire planet before picking them up and letting them join Saiyan society is a perfectly normal, natural thing to do, which seems odd if that policy is only about as old as Raditz himself (and especially considering it would have come to an abrupt end shortly after Goku was sent out).
