As the Nazis demand you identify yourself you spread your energy across the bond you feel with your followers. The faint feeling of serving you more is sent to the shamans and the goblins that have learned to mimic your abilities. As expected from the goblins, they accept the new charge to fight in your name. You try to offer the bond to a few others and find it is more difficult than expected, Izulu and Ayla when they accept your touch pull significantly more energy from you than the goblins did. For now the two strongest succubi you have also accept your power without question, you can feel the last infinitesimal vestiges of their once evil nature burn away to be replaced with even greater devotion to you.

Tslah’s servant is to devoted to Tslah that you can hardly feel any connection to her, so you have to ask Tslah to convert first before you have the influence to touch the servant with your power.

The smartest imp you know of though outright rejects the lord slayer’s request; you think his reasoning is that not overtly taking sides has kept him alive so far.

>111,232 worship lost

Converting so many at once seems to have saved you some power, despite the larger pull from Izulu and Ayla. The fraction of a second that the whole process took seems to have unnoticed by the Nazis their decrepit half-living leaders stare at your confusing elemental form of fused holy and unholy energies expecting an answer to who you are. What does make you almost miss introducing yourself and making your demands though is the gentle feeling of Evangeline being both a little unsure of things and disappointed that you were not there to pick her up after she finished teaching the goblins for today.

“I am Gareth the Goblin King,” you tell the Nazis while twisting the clashing energy of your form to look more like that of a goblin, the title sounds a little weird in German.

(1/4)
>>
The mage and the occult scientist begin bickering over if goblins are close enough to fall into the same category as koblods, or if your strange elemental nature is more a result of magic. This leaves the psychic free to attempt to speak to you alone.

“You warned us that we were not strong enough for our mission, but you are here alone,” he observes, “I feel nothing of your mind, are goblins much stronger than we are? Or is that a particular trait you have as king?”

“From what I see my goblins can easily defeat your men,” you tell the Nazi, “I am here to take the deed to hell -”

Hestia uses your bond with her experimentally to transmit the data on her reports to you. The surge of data interrupts the rest of your sentence.

Failed Research

>Dimensional anchor – After further study Hestia has no means of creating a spell with this effect, she did study more about how the demons travel across the hells however. Research was Terminated.

>Planar shifting and planar shifting prevention - Despite detailed scans and working closely with Ayla Hestia was unable to replicate Ayla’s ability to move across vastly different planes. Research was Terminated.

Completed Research

>Curses – Hestia’s insights into enchantments has enabled her to create inverse effects of both enchantments and the curses she already knows. The study of the few remaining redundant pages of the lich’s spellbook has revealed knowledge of effects roughly opposite to the precision, fortunes and stone skin spells expanding knowledge of possible curses and enchantments even further.

>Hyperspatial dam – Hestia’s failed attempt to create a method to block Ayla’s plane shift has lead her to create a new type of energy construct, a dam in hyperspace. This extraordinary complex system of spatially folded energy within hyperspace has enabled Hestia to force planar shifting and teleportation to be vastly slowed and/or shunted to a desired location.

(2/4)
>>
>Hyperspatial teleportation – While the power consumption is currently immense and the calculations very complex Hestia has created a method of teleporting through hyperspace to even other planes. This method to teleportation also is able to bypass the teleport scrambler and jammer technology you recovered from the administration.

>Mana regeneration implant – The researchers credit themselves with a brilliant idea, by having the VRP implant enchanted to constantly sublimate the blood of the implantee, unlimited mana can be obtained. After resuscitation with Lazarus serum, the researchers dialed back their enthusiasm and more carefully created an implant that isn’t spread across the entire body via nanites. A series of mana superconducting monofilaments can create mana in a more controlled fashion for now while the researchers work out what went wrong. Hestia highly recommends not using the implant unless taken with some means of regenerating the damage it causes.

>Organic mana grid interface – A basic version of the implant has been completed. The implant allows for a organic creature to link up with Hestia’s grid and pull mana from it. “天然有機チャクラへのダメージ”, the Japanese goblin warns, “これは悪いことです。”Following the advice of the Japanese goblin, Hestia has decided to place hard coded safety precautions in place so the implant only allows for mana equal to what the being can naturally hold to be used.

Ongoing Research

None, Hestia has shifted focus to Ayla’s project until you desire studies to be undertaken.

Ongoing special projects

>Purification swarm – The creatures you’ve created are exponentially growing as they purge Djinnistan of Iblis’ taint. Hestia has determined that the swarm is benign to demons or other evil creatures so she has released swarms across all your controlled territories. 16% complete. A faint whisper continues to remind you of your impending doom.

(2/4)

>>
(4/4)

>Djinnistan modernization – At Ayla’s request Hestia is assisting in improving Djinnistan’s infrastructure. The three major cities under Ayla’s control will be upgraded fairly quickly, beyond that Hestia has no estimate as to how long this project will take.

Important notes

>Administration – The confetti golem infestation is ongoing, can figure out how to stop them. Hestia warns that there are rumors of a Directors’ meeting convening.

“Then you are our rival as well!” the two bickering Nazis announce turning their attention to you. They are now determined to fight against you now.

“You have a machine that enables travel to hell and then back to Neuschwabenland, I want it,” you tell the Nazis, "you are free to stay here, or to go home, but I will not leave the way back open for long. I would not recommend staying here, because the tide of war has shifted against you."

“Impossible, the Reich has tasked us to do this! Failure to return without something equal in value to the deed is unacceptable,” The magic Nazi says.

“The machine is also ours, we will fight to the death to prevent it from falling into the hands of others,” the occult scientist says.

“We can talk this over like gentlemen, can we not?” the psychic Nazi says, “I sense that the undead have withdrawn from the battle making our position here fragile, perhaps we can negotiate?”

>Offer something you have in return for their device
>Offer something to replace their desire for the deed

"I can assure you that if you remain here, the demons will be content to devour your very souls,” You try to tell the Nazis, but you get interrupted.

“We know how demons operate,” the occult science Nazi says, “we have the means to win here, do not concern yourself with our operations.”

You can see from his mind that the Nazis have bound Astaroth in Neuschwabenland, they are confident that their seals are holding and forcing the demon to obey their demands. Most of what they know comes from binding demons, unfortunately only the highest ranks of the occultists know how to carry out the ritual binding.

“The deed will cause you to be hunted, and the one who uses it will be bound to obey its rules,” you try to continue.

“We are not foolish enough to use it ourselves, it is being used as a bargaining chip,” the mage says.

“Enough of this foolishness,” the occult scientist says, “Now, be gone goblin king or we will be forced to name you as enemy to the unending Reich.”

“Rather than seek out death and oblivion by remaining here, you should return home,” you try to convince them.

>258 vs dc 270 fail

“I do not foresee this course of action as being a good plan, perhaps we should in fact return until conditions stabilize here,” the psychic Nazi says you sense that most of the men agree with him.

The psychic and the men are worn down by the constant warfare. The men want to see their loved ones once more rather than fighting to the death for a lost cause.

“No, we will not abandon what has been sacrificed here,” the Nazi mage says, “we shall fight to the last.”

The mage is responsible for the acquirement and transport of the deed, so he is unable to be swayed. He lives to serve the Reich.

“Allowing this specimen to escape is unacceptable, I agree with staying no matter the consequences,” the occultist says.

Two thirds vote of the leadership against leaving, and the occultist wants to capture you for study. This is not going exactly as you desired, their loyalty for the Reich is very high.

“Demon attack from the east!” A soldier runs your way and yells out, “They are breaking our entrenchment!”

You see a large group of scorpion demons overrunning the Nazi position, the men fall back with expert timing and training enabling the retreat to be done in complete order without losing a single man.

The Nazis rush to support their eastern flank leaving you alone, for now.

The Nazis open fire as they slowly retreat, leading the band of scorpion demons into an ambush. The killing field is soon to be soaked with the blood of the demons.

You wanted to convince them normally, but there is not time for that now. You reach out with your mind and attempt to end this skirmish between the Nazis and the demons.

>263

The demons are linked back to their master, and trying to control both them and Nazis simultaneously has alerted it. There is a flare of hellfire in the distance as the leader of the scorpion demons is pulled into action by your interference.

Slowly but surely the demons come to a halt, waiting for you command. Giving you the freedom to break the last of the Nazis, you sever the feelings holding them to their friend, family and nation and replace it with complete loyalty to yourself. The three Nazi commanders prove to be the strongest willed, but even their half-alive status isn’t enough to shield them from your oppressive might.

Under your will the Nazis and Demons work together to seal the broken fortifications that the demons spilled past. As they work you heal the bullet injuries the demons suffered and regrow limbs severed by demon pincers to prevent any casualties. You now have control over the Nazi’s hell outpost.

You let the Nazis and scorpion demons work together to keep the Nazi encampment protected as you plunder the Nazi base for their portal machine. Crafted from bone, brass and crystal the device looks like it is unable to actually do anything, but you partially disassemble it enough to shove into your backpack so Hestia can study it later if she is interested in it.

>Nazi portal device acquired

“Ayla how is the transport of the undead going?” You mentally echo across the battle field.

“There are soooo many master,” Ayla laments to you, “It’s going to take forever to move them all.”

“They better be extra cute alive!” She declares before getting back to work shifting the undead back home.

Since she seems to be doing fine, you look over the gathered demon armies once more, the demon forces seem to be favoring the scorpion demons now as their leader stirs into action sending troops riding actual giant scorpions into battle. The new onslaught is forcing the other armies backwards and is particularly damaging to the other group of humans. Despite their technology the vehicles they have here are broken down, most of them are being used as nothing more than obstacles to block the advancing demons.

Gouts of plasma and lasers arc out from their guns easily burning the rank and file demons, but the demons are endless in number so the humans are being forced into a smaller and smaller area. Soon they will be totally overrun and massacred.

You can sense a distress beacon transmitting to anyone who can pick up. This force is a very recent arrival, their ship crashed here and they have no clue as to where they are but are doing everything in their power to keep the vessel mostly intact despite the raging war around them.

You leave the demons and Nazis behind and move quickly through the battle field, a few demons unlucky enough to be in your direct path get killed, but nobody seems to notice or care.

As your domain reaches the edge of the makeshift vehicle barriers you unleash a storm of elements on the demons, you would raise stone from the ground to form a more physical barrier but the ground beneath you seems to be nothing more than the corpses of long dead creatures. Holy energy rips apart demons who venture too close to your barrier and the people in the power armor fall back fearing that they are under attack by something new. When your domain encompasses the unburied end of their ship and all their people you complete the barrier, the holy component keeps the demons at bay as the people continue to fall back towards the jagged tear in the side of their vessel.

As you walk closer to their group and terrify them with your strange elemental form you contact Hestia via your bond with her.

“Hestia is it possible to use our bond to patch me through to Evangeline?” You ask her.

“It may be possible, but I refuse,” Hestia says, this bond is special just for you and her to share, and she is going to keep it that way as long as possible, “I will put her into contact with you via your laptop.”

It takes a moment for the signal to connect that way and you have to use your control of sound to keep the conversation private.

“Hello?” Evangeline asks.

“It’s me,” you tell her, “How is the training going?”

“Alright I suppose, I had to break early when goblins started yelling about the king’s touch or some nonsense.”

“I gave some power to them that is probably all that was,” you explain, “you seem to be doing good job so, would you like to work with Hestia to develop better methods of teaching the goblins?”

“I’m sure as an AI Hestia already has that process optimized, but if it really needs to be done I can help,” Evangeline sounds unsure.

“Sorry about not being there in person but I’m currently clearing out another circle of hell,” you say, “Would you like to have dinner with me tonight?”

Evangeline sighs.

“You have no idea what time it is do you?” She asks.

“Truthfully it has been a bit unnecessary to keep track of the time lately, even sleeping seems to be just a habit now.”

“Fine, I’ll be waiting then, don’t take too long,” Evangeline says, “now unlike you, I do need to sleep so good night.”

“Good night,” you repeat back to here, was it really night time? It’s hard to tell when you can see perfectly even in the dark. You push that from your mind for now because the people have all gathered up and seem to be afraid of you.

A single suit of armor is very different from the others, it looks to be partially organic with iridescent wings resembling those of an insect stretch out behind the armor.

The commander looks down at you, preparing to give the order to open fire. She hesitates for a moment because if you are responsible for the barrier then you may be able to help them.

As you draw even closer to the people the tension increases, the swirling holy and unholy energy of your elemental form is unsettling to them. A scorched panel of their ship reads ‘Silvanus-4’ and you look into the minds of the troopers to try and learn more.

Their group comes from the world of Silvanus, the namesake of their vessel, they were stranded there untold eons ago with a small group of dwarven craftsmen. Although at first glance you thought they were all humans you can see now that they are not human at all, they are elves. Using the work of the dwarves as a base of technological development despite being stranded on a world without magic they were able to come this far. Using all the resources they could muster ten vast colony ships were created and launched from the world of Silvanus, taking all the elves away to hopefully return to their true homelands.

Several months ago they encountered some unknown disturbance and crash landed here, and have been fighting to dig their vessel free ever since. Repair work is slow since they lack the raw material to fix the damage the crash caused.

Sub-commander Aoibheann is the name you manage to pull from their minds, she continues to not issue the order to fire as she waits to see what it is you do.

As you try to figure out how exactly you can communicate with them you stop getting any closer, they are on edge already. You can understand the message their beacon is sending, but you are unsure if you can speak their alien language. The moment of hesitation is enough to get their leader to speak to you, however.

“What manner of creature are you?” Sub-commander Aoibheann asks you, the armor’s voice synthesizer gives her voice a robotic sound.

“I am Gareth the Goblin King!” You announce to the elves.

They talk to each other asking if anyone knows what a ‘goblin’ is.

“What do you want?”
“Did you did that?”
“Why did you trap us?”
“What is a goblin?”

The Elves bombard you with a number of questions before being ordered to be silent, they were interesting in meeting something that didn’t want to kill them for once.

“What do you want?” the sub-commander asks.

You let the energy of your elemental form subside and you slowly return to mostly normal. The elves are surprised at this, but they are more comfortable with you looking roughly elvish, your body is clearly much too big and bulky. The females nod when they see how nice your ears are though, the length and shape are just perfect.

You try to sort around their minds to find more information as they calm down a bit. The only memory of their true homeland is the name Alfheim, they all greatly desire to return even though most of them have only know of the ark or Sylvanus.

Coordinates of Sylvanus, no one knows as the ship’s computer handles that sort of things, these people here are trained for combat situations not physics and engineering.

Then you look for magic, unfortunately spending so long on a world without magic they don’t remember any. The sub-commander knows that the ship contains some magical dwarven artifacts, proof of their heritage should they even make it to their destination.

“I want to help you,” you tell them, “this place is clearly not where you want to be.”

“You created this wall?” Sub-commander Aoibheann asks you, “is that magic?”

“Not precisely, but it is similar,” you say and you make an orb of water appear to show them in a non-threatening manner.

“Can you work with metal?” She asks, “We need repairs done quickly, these creatures are vicious and give us no rest.”

“Yes, I can easily work with wood and metal,” you demonstrate by lifting a nearby vehicle and reshaping the metal. The elves look on, very impressed. Your ploy with the ears has them trusting you completely at this point.

“Our ancestors said magic was capable of greatness, if you are willing then please we request your assistance,” the elves give you some sort of physical display to show their sincerity, you lift the correct response from their minds, further cementing their trust in you.

You are guided by the elves up through the wreckage to the scar through their ship’s hull. Engineering crews are trying to cut back dead wood and tear down twisted metal framework.

Their ship design is astoundingly simplistic and the design has very thick walls to protect the lives of the crew members. The work crew is alarmed by all the soldiers coming back, with you in particular. There are words exchanged as you casually destroy the dead wood in the area around you and then will metal into existence to match and repair what the elves used in constructing the ship.

The work you complete in seconds, the engineers had estimated would take a year if the demon attacks could be held off and supplies were found.

“If I take care of the major work, your engineers can fix the details,” you tell the sub-commander.

The elves are awed by what you’ve done, but you are not finished yet. You focus the power of your domain towards the entire ship and lift it cleanly free from the decaying corpse strewn ground. The gouge that their crash landing torn into the ground is clearly visible now, but that doesn’t interest you at all.

You will a strong stone platform to carefully hold their vessel above the ground into existence. With the ship now extracted from the ground and set level you can see the damage a bit better. You have to do a slight redesign on the front end of the vessel which was nearly completely destroyed by the crash.

The vessel’s engines section is completely trashed, Hestia can fix the level of technology here but with just your control of metal the most you can do for the elves is structural work.

Using your sense of life you are able to carefully reshape the interior as well, a few engineering crews are caught in the middle of your repairs and they witness the metal rippling like water as it returns to its original shape.

“There, that is a bit better,” you tell the elves when you finish, “It isn’t ready to fly, but that much should be easy enough to fix.”

You get no response, the elves are flabbergasted and can’t even respond.

“Master~”Ayla telepathically tells you sounding a bit wearily, “I finished! I’ll be over soon.”

“Just be careful, and make your ears pointy, I’m with some elves,” you tell Ayla.

“Okay, I can be invisible, so no demons will find me,” she tells you.

“Are any of your people injured or sick?” You ask to try and nudge the elves back to reality.

They are just too shocked to respond right now, some of the engineers have outright fainted. You give them a moment and contact Hestia again.

“I have encountered some space faring elves but their ship is severely damaged,” you tell her, “Do you mind assisting their repairs?”

“Are the elves ready to move?” Hestia asks you, “Repairs would be significantly easier in the facilities I already have constructed.”

“I’ll ask.”

“Are you all ok?” you ask the elves.

“Sorry,” Sub-commander Aoibheann says, “you have saved us years of work, the engineers had thought it best to just sever the entire front section to save time.”

“Are any of your people injured or sick?” You ask again.

“You’ve done enough, the medical rooms are still working so we will be ok,” she says.

“So where were you headed before the crash?” You ask so as to not reveal your mind reading.

“Alfheim, our true homeland,” She looks over your eyes with scrutiny, “perhaps you have heard of it?”

“I have, but I do not know if the way I know of is safe,”

“What? Is that true? You know the way to Alfheim?”

“Master~” Ayla falls out of the sky and lands next to you, the elves take notice of this finally and turn to see what is going on, “All done!”

(1/2)
>>
“Who is this?” Ayla asks and wiggles her longer ears at you.

“Who is this?” Sub-commander Aoibheann asks you as well.

“Ayla and -” you introduce her to the elves

“Líadáin” The elvish commander says.

“I can’t understand them!” Ayla giggles.

“I am not familiar with this language,”

Ayla and the elves look at each other, not sure about things.

“Your ship requires more repairs, if you would like we can move it to a safer location,” you offer.

“If possible we would very much like to leave this place,” the elves say.

“They are willing to move Hestia,” You say over the link to her.

“Move them all aboard their vessel please,” Hestia says.

“If everyone could return to the ship,” you tell the elves, “then we will move to a safer location.”

“And then, you will tell us of the path to Alfheim?” the elves ask.

“Yes, I may need to determine if the path is safe first,”

It takes a few minutes to move all the elves onboard their vessel and as soon as the last elf steps foot onto the ship, there is a massive blinding light.

The ship vanishes instantly.

“Hyperspatial teleportaion complete,” Hestia tells you, “repairs will now begin.”

Make more ability goblins into paladins. If there is excess, then start pouring it into medical companies for clerics.

Maybe we should move the ghaele here when we conquer it. Convert all the infinite corpses in the ground to the most fertile dirt for them, no sharing a level with tslah, plenty of food for a while.
>>
>>43338858
No, wait. Maybe we can just set up a system to constantly cast revenant to raise massive fucking hordes of powerful undead, and spread them out a bit to guard all of our layers/the pit.
>>
>>43338756
>we have gotten all of 0 potential worshipers

Dino's are too dumb, elves are going home to a place with connections to actual gods, and the skeleton army all have ties to something (somewhere [they think {kind of}]).

Nazis are the only ones who would really turn to worship, but it'd be better to return them home instead, have them spread the word about us being fucking great, then going over ourselves and sealing the deal. Nazis are a hard sell, though.

Everything else are demons and demons incorporated.

And hey

>not wanting to get a modification to Ascendancy through soul shenanigans
>>
>>43339144
Demons generate worship
Lich may generate it
Elves may end up wanting to stay, at least a few of them. Too early to say.
The skeleton army has yet to say they're monotheistic. It's entirely possible to worship more than one god, you know
>>
>>43339252
I'm not doubting the specific theism of the skelebros. Just, come on, dudes are hardcore.

I highly doubt the lich will generate worship, if anything, the lich lords would probably find some way to leech it from him.

Ayla wants some elves, right? Still, I don't think they'd stay. They probably think Alfheim is the paradise of paradises and know very little about it in reality.

As far as demons are concerned, I don't know if these are the intelligent kind. Imps and succubi are, and the four armed ones are as well, but the scorpion demons seem more like animals, and that will probably apply to every other demon down here sans the leaders and four-arms.

I like your dedication, but I doubt everything, always.
>>
I theorize that the knights may have misinterpreted the dead god's wish for them.
He said to fight evil, not to fight demons or anything like that. I think he was trying to tell them to spread goodness and peace, a more metaphorical way of fighting evil. I doubt someone would want their followers to literally fight and kill things for eternity, especially a good-aligned god,

Clerics sure, it would roughly be the same expense.

Nice. How much would we have left over if any from doing the rest of the ability goblins and making clerics?
