You spent the better part of this day trying to survive Tia.

Poor girl has a lot of stress to vent, you imagine, and you can't even complain because you have been the main source of that stress up to now.

You already knew how amazingly strong she was, but now you have an even greater respect for what a crazy Full Moon can do in a wrestling match.

In a way, you're also, probably, the only real sparring partner she can have. Except for Karas, maybe, but, even though they both seem more comfortable around each other now, and they fought side by side in battle, you still have the feeling that they're a bit wary of each other. Tia is not good at interacting with people in general, and Karas seems still weirded out that his sister is going to marry so suddenly and in such odd circumstances.
They'll probably need some time to adjust.

All hurt and covered in bruises, you collapse in the center of the wrecked wasteland your hours-long wrestling match created. Tia's lying in the dirt next to you, she turns to look at your face and giggles. "You've got a ton of leaves and bark in your hair." She says, apparently finding that very funny.

That's hardly amazing considering how many trees she broke on your head.

You both watch the sun set on the ocean, the silhouette of Golden Reach appearing like a dark shadow against the glowing red disk in the background.

>Who are we?
Maka, an exiled noble Exalted as a Zenith-caste Solar. Queen of Gem, now ruling the western island of Tianna. You have gathered a vast amount of allies and friends, and defeated every threat to Tianna up to now.
You recently discovered that Tianna is actually an artificial island, built around a First Age Titan: an almighty flying fortress. Your forces have crushed the Bodhisattva Anointed by Dark Water, a Deathlord who tried to usurp its power for himself.
Now you have built a solid power base, and worked hard to draw the attention and earn the trust of the Unconquered Sun. What will your next step be?

>Solar? Zenith? I don't know Exalted...
This quest is as newbie-friendly as possible, and I want it to work as a newbie's intro to Exalted. If you have ANY question, ask in thread. For the setting, google "1d4chan exalted".

>Archive?

>System?
Dicepool-like system. When performing an action, everyone rolls 1d10 when posting. the first X rolls are considered, where X is equal to attribute + ability.

>XP?
Attributes cost [current score x5] xp. Abilities cost [current score x3] xp, except Zenith costing [(current score x3) -1]. Charms cost 10 xp, except for Zenith-based charms (related to charisma and physical/mental fortitude) which cost 8 xp. At the end of every "session" (thread) you will be presented with a list of possible acquisitions.

Let's brief our bro so he's not totally in the dark about what's happening with Gem and ends up deciding to do something hasty.

Also EF could you mark on the calendar when our tentative date for the Skullstone Strike is? That way we have a ready reminder so we don't make plans over it.

Yeah me too. The long gaps between threads is understandable, but sometimes it makes it hard to keep track of the little things between the big events.

Rather than just taking the "TALK TO EVERYONE" approach of early adventure games, it would be a lot better if you thought about what you wanted to do/say/know first.

Like, you could go and see Mikahil, but do you have anything to ask him or that you urgently need to know, or is it just to chat?

Character interactions are great, but not everything needs to be played out in actual play. It can get boring after a while.

So, don't think "we need to talk to everyone", and trust your NPCs to be able to handle minor things on their own without your constant supervision.

For example, I don't think Maka has anything left to take care of personally before the wedding, but you might disagree. Think about what you want her to do first, instead of having her just wander around talking to everyone.

>>43499471
You don't have an exact date for attacking Skullstone, there aren't specific plans in place yet.
>>
Actually wait, do we have time to go to Tianna?

I'd like to at least see Amata one more time before we timeskip, even if it's just to chat and spend time with her, but other than that I'm fine with moving forward.

You can't spend the rest of the night here.

Well, ok, you can, but you probably shouldn't. There's some things you have to take care of before the wedding, and, if you spent the night here, you're 80% sure that Tia would ravish you.

Alright, that doesn't sound bad at all. Still, you should probably take your leave.

Once you can stand back up without everything hurting, you say goodbye and leave. You can see the thought of coming along with you crossing Tia's mind, but, in the end, she just nods and says that she'll stay with her tribe to beat them into shape.

You don't envy them.

You head back to pearl, give the Steelshard mercenaries the training of the day, and then pick back up your (horribly essence-inefficient) Swift Rider and blaze along the new road to Tianna.

Along the way you cross, and probably scare the living crap of, small, impromptu settlements, with tents or small wooden huts, and construction sites. Either people making the trip between the two cities, or enterprising individuals setting up food stands, inns and hostels to provide for those making the trip.

While the whole trip takes you just a few hours by Swift Rider (or Lunar), it's a bit more than a day of travel by foot, so it stands to reason that, with time, someone will start to use the traffic between the two cities as a business opportunity.

And, true to that line of thought, you can see the first hints of a future settlement beginning to appear about halfway, in a small valley between the central hills. For now, it's just a bunch or ramshackle and unfinished wooden buildings, but you get the feeling that they'll grow in time.

You wonder if Mikahil knew this would happen.

>Well, let's stop and check.
>Interesting, but I have things to do, and besides the whole thing is unfinished. No reason to stop here now.

>Have this ever come up before? I like the idea, but this is my first time seeing it.

It's been mentioned in passing a couple times. And yes, it's technically possible. Not something you can hope to do on a mass-production scale, but once you develop the right stuff it's entirely feasible to grant Awakened Essence to a small number of Mortals to make them enhanced officers / special forces / whatever.

You bring your Swift Rider to a halt on the road, right in the middle of the odd cluster of improvised houses and hovels.

Considering the darkness, your flaring anima, and the noise the damn Rider makes, you think you can excuse the locals when you notice them peek out of doors and windows, some striding outside in their sleepwear, more than a few of them wary and armed with hunting bows and spears, some with brooms or frying pans, looking scared yet fairly confrontational.

A poster pasted to a nearby wooden board wall, penned in exquisite calligraphy in Seatongue, Riverspeak and Low Realm, warns the locals that survivors, deserters and stragglers from the Skullstonian forces might still be lurking on the vicinities, so you can see where their initial suspicion comes from.

When you turn to them and they see your well-known face and easily-recognizable Castemark, most of the weapons clatter to the ground as the respective owners let go of them in shock and surprise.

"L-lady Maka?"
"We- we didn't mean to- we're sorry! We didn't know it was you..."
"What? It's lady Maka?"

A few of them, possibly suddenly afraid of capricious retribution, fall to their knees and beg, but most of them keep staring, embarrassed, in a dumbfounded silence.

Probably a mix of "oh gods what is she wearing and why this is making me very uncomfortable", "I am face to face with a Solar and I have no idea what to do", and "those people are kneeling should i kneel too i didn't get the memo".

You lift a hand to calm down the confused and astonished murmuring all around you.

"Don't worry, don't worry. I did arrive here in a rather sudden and noisy way. You did the right thing to come out prepared."

Sighs of relief can be heard all around as people relax, reassured that you are not going to wreak bloody vengeance on them or anything that idiotic.

"Actually, I was just passing by on my way to Tianna." You glance at your Swift Rider, which is already drawing a lot of attention. "Just thought I'd stop." You glance at some of the locals, still kneeling. "You, uh, you can stand up. If you kneel for too long it gets embarrassing." You successfully break the ice with a small joke and a wink, and the atmosphere becomes immediately more relaxed.

You give a look around. An inn, a tavern, a well, a shoemaker, a small bazaar-like store, a cooper's workshop - for repairs and maintenance on carts and wagons, you bet - and not much else, and all the buildings look unfinished in some what, not to mention rather thrown together, probably with the intention of improving them later.

You don't really feel tired, but you wouldn't mind asking these people for a room to spend the night here. Just for the heck of it.
However... it doesn't seem like there's much to see, right now. If you stayed, you'd just make them feel bad for making you stay in a place like this.

The thought crossed their mind as well, it seems. One of them, a man around his 40s, tough-looking but graying at his temples, steps forward and timidly addresses you: "We are honored by your visit, lady Maka, but, uh, we are afraid that there is not much we can provide for you at the time, as far as food or services go..."

You doubt he's the on "in charge". In fact, you doubt there's anyone "in charge" here at all for now. There's barely anything to be in charge of, anyway.

...You get the feeling that they're not mentioning something. Maybe they're hiding something from you, or maybe they're just honestly nervous because of your presence here.

It doesn't feel like there's anything EVIL afoot, at least. You stare in their eyes and gauge their reactions. Maybe they DID have some problems but they want to handle them on their own, or they think it's not something you should be bothered about? Or they're worried about wasting your time?

You smile politely and just wait.

"Every- everything's going... well." He repeats.

The entire crowd averts their eyes nervously. You see some of them elbowing their neighbors, either to prod them to speak or to keep them silent when they look about to do so. And...

You make a nonchalant gesture. "You're all staring at that poster."

Of course, as soon as you mention that, no one stares at in anymore, but it's too late by now.

"Did you have problems with Skullstone stragglers? It's okay to tell me, you don't have anything to worry about."

"Well..." A woman in the crowd breaks the silence. "We found one of them three days ago, but we took care of him, so there's nothing to worry about. Right?"

"You took care of him." You repeat. "How?"

"We, uh, we... we killed him."

You glance around. "I don't see any traces of a pyre nor any marked grave around here, and you don't look dumb enough to dispose of a body without the proper rites."

"We-we did burial at sea." Chimes in someone else.

"We're nowhere close to the sea, and you don't have boats or rafts here for a good reason. You should've taken thew body to either Tianna or pearl to do that, and goodness that sounds like a lot of work for the burial of a guy you didn't know." You explain.

You see them all sweat nervously as they collectively realize they dug themselves in a corner.

You scan the crowd for another few seconds while you piece together some clues in your head.

"Whatever, it's not my problem. You said you'll be fine, and I see no reason to believe anything is going wrong."

Collective sigh of relief.

"But i'm still going to just put together a wild theory, let's say, before leaving."

Collective holding of breath.

"You're not yet open for business, and you're still working on this whole little settlement. Those of you who aren't in their sleepwear are wearing their work clothes, with obvious wear and tear." You point a finger. "Except the young lady there, who's in some nice clothing, even with jewelry. Why?"

The young girl, a lightly tanned brunette who looks barely 18, hesitates and steps back in fear. She's wearing some fairly stylish clothes, nothing too showy, but like she's planning to meet someone, or go out for a date, or making a good impression. She's wearing earrings.

"I'd almost expect you to have perfume on as well, but instead you smell of alcohol, aloe, and mint oil."

She's clearly thinking of a comeback, but nothing comes to her mind. The locals step away from her, as if a lightning bolt was about to strike her from the sky at any moment.

You let the silence hang around in the air for a few more seconds, then groan as the final piece of the puzzle clicks in your head and you realize that you've stumbled into something that feels straight out of a romance novel.

"Is he cute?"

"..................what?" She replies, dumbfounded, after a way-too-long pause.

"Him, or, might be a her for all I know. Whatever. The wounded Skullstonian soldier I'm guessing you found and are nursing back to health, hidden in one of these houses. Really? I didn't think these sort of things actually happened in real life." You roll your eyes. "Amazed you got everyone else to cover for him."

".....Yes." She nods, visibly embarrassed, answering your question.

>>
You lean closer, and grab the girl's hands. "You must absolutely tell me everything that happened."

"Uh... sure..." She sighs, now resigned. "So... we found him huddled in the barn, three nights ago... he had thrown away his armor, and had an arrow in his back that was getting infected..."

"You know some first aid." You guess.

The brunette nods. "...A bit, yes. He was running a fever and for two days we thought he'd die... this morning was the first time he was conscious."

"What did he have to say?"

"He asked how the battle went. We told him that the Silver Prince died at the battle under Tianna Castle. At first he didn't believe us... he seemed shocked."

"Did he threaten you or do anything worrisome?"

"No... at first he looked like he wanted to leave, but he was too weak... and then, when I stopped him, he said he didn't know where to go..."

You know where this is going.

"...So i told him... well... I told him he could stay. He offered to help us with work and so on if we kept him hidden... we didn't make him do anything because he was still too weak..."

The story continues, and you don't feel like there's anything excessively suspicious going on.

"...This is a cute story. Still, this individual IS an enemy combatant and I have to at least see him in person." You inform the woman, who is forced to cave in.

As she escorts you towards the inn, you glance at the rest of the crowd: "Also... I'm not mad. But. Don't lie to me. Alright?"

You leave the scene, surrounded by a stunned silence, and arrive in a rickety bedroom filled with the smell of sawdust and lit only by your Anima Flare. On a bedding of tightly packed straw on the floor a pale-skinned young man, bandaged and sporting several shallow cuts and bruises, opens his mouth to say something just as you enter.

His mouths stays hanging, wordlessly, as he sees you.

You sit down next to him, calmly, and wait for him to recover from the shock. He shakes in fear.

You frown, staring at him. what little of his armor and clothing is left tell you he wasn't a Vodak - one of the Silver Prince's elite mortal soldiers in powered armor. He's quite clearly not an undead or a ghost-blooded or anything like that.

The thought crosses your mind that he might be an Exalted, one very good at pretending to be a mortal, but you discard that idea. Either he's so good that he's fooling you completely and if he is you'd have no way to know... or you're just being too paranoid.

You lean closer.

"I'm going to pretend I never saw you here today. Make the most of your chance. And don't cause trouble."

That said, you stand up and, without another word, leave.

Leaping from rooftop to rooftop, you head to the small part of Tianna Castle that's still standing, where you know Amata resides and works.

And, she left her window open.

You leap in from there, quietly startling her as she was... still working? At this hour of the night? Her desk is littered with papers and documents, books and scrolls. Important-looking government stuff. You imagine it must be a lot of boring work.

You grin and lean closer, pressing your body against hers, keeping her pinned between you and the desk.

"Oh, I had a feeling... something like, "My mistress is feeling bored right now!" And so, I arrived."

She gently strokes your cheek. "How perceptive of you. And... how good you look in those clothes."

"They're yours, aren't they?" You hiss in her ear. "You have good taste."

With just a quick swipe of her arm, Amata has cleared the desk of everything that could get in the way, like quills, inkwells and the most important documents. You haven't followed her motion closely, but now all those things are somehow neatly stacked on a shelf a few meters away.

"I made them thinking of you and how good you'd look in them." She gently pushes you back, inspecting in detail how well you fill that outfit and whether you're wearing it correctly according to her taste. "And I have to say, you look acceptable."

She lifts you up and slams you down on the desk. "Oh. What are we going to do on your desk, mistress?"

Amata clearly needed this. She went all-out.

And, well, you needed this too, you just hadn't realized it. She used... charms? You can only imagine. It was a lot different than last time with her, when she was still pretending to be a Dragon-Blooded.

You saw stars. Not just figuratively.

Tia might be a tiger in the sack (sometimes literally), but you have even more respect for Amata now. She knows exactly what to say and where to touch at what time. In fact, you get the feeling you could even learn a lot from her.

...the end result is that what almost a full day of getting suplexed by Tia couldn't do, two hours in Amata's bed (or rather, on her desk) accomplished: you can't move, all your nerves and muscles utterly numb from the experience.

It's not even a matter of physical endurance, just of your body shutting down.

When she's satisfied, she lifts you up in her arms and carries you over to the couch in her office, dropping you there.

"All this time... you were holding back this much?" you mumble, barely conscious.

"Annoying but necessary." She admits, sitting down next to you. "Can you imagine how embarrassing it would have been, to blow my cover in bed?" She grins. "But, yes. What were you expecting? I'm a Chosen of Venus, and I'm a lot older and more experienced than you."

"...How old ARE you, anyway?"

Her grin widens, but she doesn't say anything. "I have many secrets. I might reveal the one about the secret conspiracy of heavenly Exalted manipulating everyone's destiny since the beginning of time, but you'll never get the one about my age."

Over the course of the next minutes, you regain enough consciousness to be able to actually hold a conversation.

I know we scheduled the date of the wedding based on something for Tia and us, but I hope she isn't mad about it.

I always feel a little guilty about how our relationship feels more focused on Tia than on Amata, I'm not just saying that because I like Amata more than Tia either.

Speaking of Amata, heaven, and the wedding, I'm hoping that someone in Heaven can pull some strings and have our wedding feature a high-noon full solar eclipse.

That's extremely auspicious in Creation, because a solar eclipse is when the sun and moon grow face to face with each other and whisper secrets that only each other can hear. It's symbolic of the event where Sol Invictus and Luna became BFFs, was so important that it became immortalized in the Eclipse Caste (speaking if which, Mikahil will be important as someone to make our marriage official in the eyes of Heaven, with an Oath), and remains the greatest symbol of different people being unified by marriage, treaty, or first contact world-wide.

So. Yeah. Here's hoping for an eclipse.

Well, not to be rude, but Tia is more needy than Amata, who somewhat kept her distances due to her secrets

Tia fucks like a horny animal, and Amata fucks like a sex goddess.

I would trade art for this (if I had one), but I feel EF would prefer to choose them himself.

There's a lot of art that could be used for our kids from that artist that did Tia's picture.

Personally I'd like at least one to have Maka's white hair and Tia's red eyes and pale skin tone. That way they'll look like a little Tyrant, I'm still hoping she get's reincarnated as our child.
>>
>>43504202
I think vibrant colors would fit them more. Both have a sweet contrast going on with skin/hair/eyes.

What about First Age Tyrant? She'd look like Amata as well.

That's pretty easy to answer: is she literally extending her essence against a person's mind to twist it to her will? Or is it just being really charming? Because the latter isn't much different than Jessica Alba convincing you it's a great idea to give her your time in her bedroom.

That's basically what I said
>Being charming doesn't make it rape, being more charming than the person who just tried and struck out doesn't make it rape. Maka is REALLY REALLY charming. That still doesn't make it rape, at least not until charms come into play.
But as I said here >>43512196 the entire argument was filled with such a level of stupidity I would have been better off staying out of it entirely.

If I were to draw a lewd picture of Maka, what would be nice to draw? Only Maka, no one else.

something looking up from below, with her hands on her hips, her looming over the viewer, a slight smile on her face. Wearing nothing, or something better than wearing nothing, your choice

Give her a dick

Trick question, any lewd picture of Maka is going to be nice. And any picture of Maka is going to be lewd.

Dancing, stripping, in some of our clothes, dressed as a nurse/secretary/other sexy cospay.

Boobs, large ones. When you think you've made them large enough, go the extra mile and up them another size.

I'd love to see Maka in some sexy high heels and stockings

Cheeks spread, anus and vag fully exposed.
