The morning sunlight bears down on me, shining right in my face until I finally stir awake. Out of instinct, I bend it away from me so I can get back to being nice and comfy in the dark, but every time I start to drift back to sleep my hold breaks and then there it is again, right back in my face. This repeats maybe three times before I just give up. And so, cursing the sun, I grab my glasses from off my nightstand and roll out of my bed. And land head-first.

"Friggin' crap..." I mutter under my breath while rubbing my aching forehead.

While a one-foot drop may not be enough to cause me any actual damage, it sure as hell still hurts.

Well yeah, the rest of the Scarlet Devil Mansion is pretty good. Meiling and Sakuya are decent tier, Remi is high tier, and Flandre is god tier. Not sure what tier Koa is in, probably decent tier as well.

It's just that the presence of the lazy ass asthmatic anaemic neet loser that lets Marisa kek all her books brings the mansion down to a D- rating.

If shitshowly wasn't there, SDM's waifu rating would easily be a B+. maybe even A-, though that's stretching it.

Just the thought of the suffering that my entire body is sure to go through is enough to make me dread living.

"Don't think you're gonna get out of this," Theresa says.

Theresa steps out into the hallway, but then doubles back and walks up to Irene.

"I'll be back in an hour and a half," Theresa says to me, looking as stern as ever. "And you better be ready or I'll drag you out there in that giant shirt."
"Yeah yeah..." I mumble.

While I slump over and lament my impending torture, Theresa wakes over to Irene and gives her a quick peck on the lips.

"Wha!?" I stand back upright in a flash.
"Theresa?" Irene stares at her in disbelief.
"Doesn't feel right unless I'm the one taking the initiative," she replies.

With a cool smirk on her lips (and her face just a little bit flushed), Theresa makes her way down the hallway and towards the front door.

"Well, umm..." I glance in the general direction of the front door and back at Irene, "...you wanna get some leftovers before my father eats everything?"
"Yeah, sure," Irene nods.

After I lock the door after Theresa, I meet up with IRene in the kitchen... and it looks like she's already brought out all of the containers of leftover food from the fridge.

"I didn't know what you wanted to eat," she says, "so I just kind of got everything."
"It's fine," I reply, shaking my head. "My father'll probably show up in a few minutes to eat everything that we haven't already gotten to anyways."

First is some turkey... then some stuffing... cabbage... and that's it for now since I don't want to end up puking during Theresa's hell run. I'm kind of surprised to see that Irene only takes about as much as I did.

After moving all the containers over to a counter, me and Irene sit down at the table and begin eating.

"So..." I look across the table at Irene.
"Hm?" she looks up at me.
"You seemed to have taken to Theresa way faster than I expected."
"Yeah, well..." Irene starts grinning like an idiot. "It's been a while and she's just so cute, you know?" she laughs. "Couldn't really help myself this morning."
"So that's about as far as things have gotten with you two?" I ask. "...if I'm not prying, I mean."

I'm nosy to begin with but I kind of have a personal stake in the details of this particular relationship. I mean, it -is- entirely the result of my hard work.

"You were around for all of that," Irene says with an embarrassed smile. "She fell asleep on my boobs last night and this morning's the first time we kissed. Before that, the farthest we went was handholding."
"You mean like this?"

Because I can, I pull forth the image I had in my mind of the two of them wearing Heidi dresses and holding hands while skipping in a field of flowers. Irene immediately starts choking on her food when she sees it.

That was how I did it this most recent time, but that can potentially last a LONG time since most of the days in the main quest can end up lasting multiple real-life months depending on what's happening.
But assuming that things remain manageable in length, I may continue to have it like that.
