Location: Planet Dian

Information: Having finally assembled a team, Daikon leads his first mission in the service of Lord Frieza. The target planet is called Dian, home to somewhat primitive aliens who live in tribes, and, on occasion, in walled cities. Having already slaughtered one ruler, Daikon and Rugula move on to the next city, while the others move to destroy the scattered villages.

Welcome to Saiyan Quest. This takes place shortly after the war against the Tuffles, as the Saiyans look for more foes to battle in the absence of their old enemies.

Voting will operate on a first to five system, at least for the time being.

Dialogue is allowed to be added to votes, as are actions (though I'll ignore what I consider shitposting)

During battles, options will usually have a number assigned to them. After that vote has won, players will roll a d100, and have three chances to match or beat that number.

If a 100 is rolled, it is considered a crit success (unless 100 was the number you had to match).

If a 1 is rolled, it is a crit failure, regardless of whether or not the other two rolls are high enough to succeed.

If, during a battle, players want to attempt a writein action, that is allowed, but I am the one who will assign the number to it, so use caution

You're a young male Saiyan who fought in the war with the Tuffles. You are an average fighter for now, but have the potential of one of the greatest warrior races to roam the universe flowing through your veins. There is no limit to what you can accomplish through blood, sweat, and tears.

You and Rugula soar above the vast plains covering the planet, not really speaking to one another as you follow your scouters to the nearest large settlement.

You both have a rough idea of what to do; kill the leader and any warriors who won't submit, and spare any civilians who pledge to serve Lord Frieza. It's a simple enough course of action, and considering how easy it was to defeat the last group of warriors, you aren't all that concerned about the ability of you and Rugula, the two strongest fighters on the team, to deal with whatever awaits at the next city.

You find it soon enough. It's slightly smaller than the previous city, though the basic setup is the same. It's surrounded by a large wall manned with guards.

>A. Attack them all head on with Rugula (45)

>B. Blast them from above (30)

>C. Sneak past them and head for the leader's dwelling (20)

You ascend high above the city, and a few seconds later, Rugula follows. The two of you use your scouters to tell you where you are in relation to the soldiers, and continue moving above their sightline until you're confident you're either in or near the center of the city.

Slowly, the two of you descend, spotting a large building.

You see nobody outside of it, save some civilians passing by it, but your scouters confirm that there are dozens of fighters inside, each with power levels of 250 or higher.

You tell the guards who the two of you are, and give the same warning to them that you gave the kind of the last city.

Their response is laughter.

"You're an idiot to come here and make demands of us," the nearest guard comments.

"I guess negotiations have broken down," Rugula says, holding her hand towards the guard and firing an energy blast at him.

The blast sends him flying across the room, slamming into a group of guards and knocking them over as his scorched corpse falls to the ground.

Many of the guards step back in fear, while others grab their weapons and charge.

Rugula laughs, blasting them down with energy attacks before they can even reach her, then leaping into the air and swooping down on them.

You rush across the room, firing a blast of energy that throws a trio of warriors near Rugula into the air.

Ducking a spear another guard throws at you, you fire an energy blast that leaves nothing but a charred corpse as you rush to engage the others.

A guard throws a punch at you, only to have you seize his wrist, spin, and throw him into a pair of his charging friends. As they fall in a crumpled heap to the ground, you execute them with an energy blast.

Another comes at you with a sword, stabbing at your neck and gasping in surprise as the blade shatters against your arm. You grab him by the throat, holding him up in the air above your head.

As he squirms, one of his allies rushes at you from behind, but you kick him away before crushing the throat of the alien in your hand.

Letting the corpse drop to the floor, you turn to see Rugula punch right through the chest of another guard, opening her fist behind his back and unleashing an energy wave that knocks down another group of them, killing two.

A half-dozen guards rush you together, dying as you leap into the air above them and rain energy blasts down on them.

A spear clatters uselessly off of your armor, and you look down to see a dozen spearmen preparing to attack.

You drop to the ground and rush forward, ripping the enemy apart as they attempt to gore you with their spears.

The few that actually manage to strike you cry out in fear and frustration as their spears harmlessly bounce off of your armor. The less fortunate ones are thrown back from strong punches and kicks, being killed by a combination of your strikes and the impacts as they hit walls or each other.

The remaining guards you blast away. You ten look to see Rugula heading for the door to what you presume to be the king's room. You leap up and land beside her, watching as she blasts it open.

You find five men and a single woman standing between you and the king. Each of them have powers of around 450, except for the woman, who is at 480.

"I don't know who you are, but you're going to pay for killing our friends," she vows, stepping forward.

You tell Rugula that you'll each take three, but you want the woman.

Rugula looks ready to protest, but your foes waste no time in leaping into acting, splitting into groups of three and moving to attack each of you.

Rugula leaps back across the room, firing energy blasts at her attackers, who nimbly jump out of the way. One leaps at her, getting blasted to the ground as another jumps and kicks Rugula in the face.

The female fighter, a red-haired girl with fiery eyes, stands in front of you, dropping into a fighting stance as her allies flank you.

You slowly raise your hands, holding a palm toward each of the guards.

The woman begins rushing toward you, and with a yell, you fire a pair of energy blasts, putting a good deal of power into them and blasting the two men away.

One is sent crashing into the wall before the blast detonates, leaving nothing of him, while the other crashes into one of the guards fighting Rugula.

The woman leaps at you, throwing a powerful kick that you bring your arms up just in time to block. She backflips off your arms and lands in a crouch, eyes shifting between her fallen comrade's corpse and the pile of ash where her other friend was.

Her eyes close, and you hear a strange sound to your right. Looking over, you see blood rise from the corpse of your fallen enemy, and move through the air to the woman, surrounding her and soon coating her body red.

Your scouter beeps, indicating that her power level has risen to 580.

You hold your hand toward the woman like Rugula, and the two of you fire a barrage of energy blasts at her.

The tendrils of blood move to intercept the blasts, but she's simply lost too much strength. The energy attacks cut right through them, each one striking her and pushing her back.

She falls to her knees once again, but she picks her head up and tries to stand.

The two of you don't give her the chance, and fire more and more until the life leaves her body. She falls dead to the ground, smoke rising from her corpse.

"Well, glad to see at least one of them had some fight," Rugula comments, glancing around.

You don't see any sign of a king, and your scouter detects no living things in this building.

"Yes," you tell her.

The rest of the mission goes off without a hitch, and by the end of the day, the natives have all either pledged allegiance to Lord Frieza, or been destroyed.

You and your team regroup at the ships.

"So, we're done," Soko states, climbing into his pod. "I think we're supposed to contact someone and let them know what happened."

You take a look at your ship's computer, and find a communication line with one of Frieza's underlings.

You climb into your pod and blast off with your crew, opening a communication with one of Frieza's men as you speed toward home.

"This is Staff Officer Zeach," a voice announces. "You are...Daikon, correct?"

You inform him of the success of your mission, including the laborers you secured for Lord Frieza.

"Hmm...a labor force for Lord Frieza?" he asks, sounding surprised yet intrigued. "Well done. I'm sure he'll be pleased to hear that. In any case, your reward will be waiting for you back on your homeworld. Safe travels."

The communication ends.

You open a communication with the others, asking how the job went on their end.

"Piece of cake," Soko tells you. "The villagers barely put up a fight."

"Yeah, too bad," Sabi laments. "Other than one or two leaders, none of them were entertaining."

"Maybe we should take a tougher job next time," Azu suggests.

"Yeah, fighting enemies this weak is almost insulting," Rugula agrees.

"The next mission will be tougher," you promise. "This mission was more of a testing the waters to see how the group functions together."

"Good, I want a challenge," Sabi tells you.

"That would be nice," Rugula agrees.

Everyone signs off, and you sleep until you reach Planet Vegeta.

Your pod crashes down into the landing pad before opening up and allowing you to exit. Your team gets of their pods, stretching and looking around.

"Welcome back, sir," one of Frieza's men says to you. "I was told to give you this."

He hands you an envelope which you suspect to contain money.

"Lord Frieza gave you a bonus, from what I understand," the soldier tells you. "An extra five thousand. Nice work, sir."

"Thanks," you tell the soldier before looking at your crew. "Ready for another mission?"

Sabi grins, cracking his knuckles. "You bet."

You and your team return to the mission selection room, making your way to the main computer.

Three planets are on display.

Planet Vutta is the first. It has no real resources or anything of much value, but it's apparently home to a clan of pirates who have been making trouble for Frieza's forces and attacking his holdings. The average pirate has a power between a thousand and two thousand, and the full moon will occur the day after you land. The reward is 100000 Frids.

The second planet is Zodge. Like Vutta, it's home to criminals, but the planet itself isn't the target. There's a rogue Saiyan Warrior apparently hiding out on the planet, who defected after the Saiyans joined Lord Frieza. King Vegeta himself has placed the bounty here, which is 50000 Frids.

The final planet is known as Xultra. It's a warrior world that Frieza intends to sell to the highest bidder. A full moon comes two days after arrival, and the average fighter is around 2000. Reward is 125000 Frids.

Daikon is up to you guys to decide.

Sabi is a tall, muscular Saiyan with a bald head that has a scar across it. He's also clean shaven.

Soko is average height, but with spikey red hair and a cut on his left cheek.

Azu has short, dark blue hair

Rugula has spikey black hair that goes to her shoulderblades, and brown eyes.
