You are John James Green, mutant vagrant.

You jerk yourself awake, the wet, insistent sounds of the nightmare dwindling away into the creases between worlds. Slowly, after a moment of horrified disorientation, you realize that you’re in your tent. Dim, fiery light dances across the skin of your dwelling. You feel the comforting warmth of Laura beside you, the steady rhythm of her slumber insinuating itself through your senses, anchoring you.

You lie back. The water was there again, and the mist, and the crumbling Scar. And things you saw down in the dark.

You burned all traces of the creature, whatever it was, but its image remains at the forefront of your mind.

Tensions have been running high since then. You didn’t find anything else – thank God – down in the dark, but the knowledge that some kind of deranged serial killer was stalking the nearby tunnels has not been especially good for morale.

You turn over, resting an arm across Laura’s shoulder, feeling her shift minutely in response.

You want to sleep, but those eyes – those long, dark tunnels, pinpricked by just the slightest mote of distant light – keep returning to you.

Also Crusty, I made some fanart of JJ in his Marvel Knight gear accompanied by Huginn and Muninn. Hope you like it.

Not that anon, but I do think he should get something for that.

'Cause damn it's good.

Also, I found this pic of a shoggoth-dragon. Would it fit for early Dragon Modo!JJ? Like it's him after just turning into it.

>>
So now that JJ can talk to plants and influence how they grow and stuff, who wants to make a backup secret tree bunker in the park? We can have some trees do funny stuff with their roots to form rooms and stuff. Have the trunks make air tubes up through to the surface where it's all stealthy and stuff.
>>

I didn't draw it. I only found it.

I've also started working on Laura in same gear, but I'm having trouble with perspective and proportions. Have a sneakpeak though.

JJ has a different mask to accomodate his mutations, mainly the horns and the optical forceblasts. Gotta have eye room or he would blast the insides of his mask every time.

This time with the file.

As much as you wish you could descend back into the warmth of sleep (without the nightmares, preferably), you can’t. Life is inevitable, and you can feel it tightening its grip over you, urging you up. You glance at your watch, noting the time, and pull yourself away from Laura.

Got people to see, or something.

Fishing your phone from your pocket, you call the Agency. It doesn’t take long for the Phantom’s voice to greet you on the other end of the receiver, though you detect a slight quaver in the tone of her speech that suggests she’s been without any kind of caffeine for a good stretch of the morning.

“You were narrowing down your names, right?” You ask, once the pleasantries are out of the way. “Got anything for me?”

It’s weird. You can actually hear her nodding through the phone – hear the bones in her neck shifting, her hair swaying gently against her forehead. You guess you senses are at their peak just a little while after waking up.

“A few.” She pauses. “Are you alright? You sound hoarse.”

“It’s nothing…” Nothing at all.

“If you say so.” Comes her less-than-convinced reply. You’re too tired to assure her otherwise, so you let it go. “If you can make your way here, I should be able to run through them with you.”

“Alright.” You say, nodding to no-one in particular.

You stop suddenly, thinking.

Nice but the horns seem a little off center compared to the eyes.

All the masks have different horns. Before you posted this I was about to say that the smaller devil horns fit Laura the best. So that nice.

Speaking of morning coffee. maybe we can have some designated morning barista who gets up an hour early and makes simple breakfast for the whole group, not just the Morlocks. I nominate Layla.
>>
>>43627484
As long as she got the stuff and maybe little extra. Can't afford to run a charity any more than we already are.
>>
>>43627437
A detailed actions scene might still be beyond my skill.

My plan was to draw each tunnel snake in their MK gear (at least those who would step up for it) and then arrange them to a crowdshot. I'll at least do Laura before anything else.

We'll see if I can come up with something after that.
>>
>>43627635

Good idea.

For Layla, you could do two drawings of her, each in a different pose, then copy-paste them around until there's about 50 people in the shot.
>>
>>43627663
That would be a lot of work. He could just do one pose and reverse the image so that there's two of them standing back to back.
>>
>(1/2)

“…Give me a little while.” You say, rolling your shoulders experimentally, shrugging off the last vestiges of sleep. “Just have a few errands to run.”

You have some supplies to pick up – assuming Rao has them by now.

“Not a problem.” She replies. “Just don’t keep your partner waiting too long.”

You promise not to, and stow away your phone. Careful not to wake Laura, you pick your way out of the tent, hurrying up to the stairs. The gloom of the station is mitigated now by the soft, fiery light of several sharp, jagged crystals embedded in the pillars that line the platform edges, courtesy of one of its new occupants.

Heading out over the Scar, you let your wings unfurl, muscles twisting and distending along your back to accommodate their weight. You’ve found you soak up sun more easily when they’re out.
>>
>(2/2)

Huginn finds you as you approach the Red Cross camp, his talons pricking lightly at your skin as he lands on your shoulder. The whispers he has for you are mundane, mostly – nothing untoward happening with the humanitarians, as far as his understanding of ‘untoward’ goes. You treat him to a few sunflower seeds and let him loose once more.

You spot a few familiar faces around the camp as you make your way in, some of them from the station, others from around the Scar. A few of the volunteers, upon spotting you, seem to look away immediately. You’d guess it was the wings, but it feels like more than that. It’s not long before you see one emerging from a nearby tent with Doctor Rao, her eyes widening when she’s pointed in your direction.

She says something to the younger woman, before making her way toward you.

“Wings, too?” She says, dryly, as she comes into earshot. Or what she assumes is earshot, anyway. “Most mutants would be lucky to have an enhanced healing factor comparable to yours. I don’t often see such abilities paired anything as useful as flight, unaided or not.”

She doesn’t phrase it as a question, but you can’t help but think that there’s one hanging in the air.

Why would someone who in another world worked on 'curing' mutants, work with the X-men? More than that, in this world, where it is more than likely the government is using drugs to vilify mutants and terrorize the public, why should we have trusted someone working with the Red Cross?

“Yeah, being me is great.” You can’t help but raise your snark levels above optimum for a bit there. Possibly not the best idea, but it comes to you as though by reflex. “Have you gotten together the stuff I asked for?”

For a moment, the doctor looks almost apologetic, before her usual stoicism clouds her features once more.

“Most of it.” She says, lowering her voice a little. “Not everything can be so easily acquired. To be honest, we’re not supposed to be just handing out equipment like this at all.”

Your brow furrows in response. “I thought you were here to help people.”

“There are rules.” She says, her voice snappy, sharp.

Right. Rules. Sometimes you think you’ve spent way too long on the raggedy edge of civilization. It didn’t occur to you that Rao might have had to jump through hoops to get some of this stuff.

“Someone is picking up what I have for you.” She continues. “Your blood is working, by the way. It’s an interesting example of healing factor. Not many mutants can transmit their regenerative abilities like that. The few that can usually have a lower caliber of self-healing.”

Big whoop. Does kinda make you wonder, though…

“Yeah…” You pause, thinking momentarily. “…Is there anything, I dunno, odd, about my blood?”

Those eyes. You can’t get rid of those eyes.

She looks up at you, her expression momentarily unreadable, before you see something that might be realization flash through her eyes.

“…No.” She says, finally, squinting slightly at you. “Why do you ask?”

“…No reason.”

You’re not 100%, but you think she’s telling the truth. You can usually tell.

Soon enough, one of the volunteers shows up with a large, double-layered blue bag. It’s surprisingly heavy.

You shift awkwardly in your boots, glancing over Rao’s shoulder momentarily, at the rest of the camp. You guess… you’re off?

“Thanks.” You say. “For this stuff. I don’t know how any of it works, but I’m sure it’ll come in useful.”

“That’s encouraging.” Says Rao, and you actually cannot tell whether she’s being sarcastic or not.

“Uh, I think…” You fish out your phone, noting the look of surprise on Rao’s face. “…You should probably have my number? In case something happens here.”

She looks at your phone in silence for a moment, seemingly bemused, before agreeing.

You guess she's just surprised you've got a phone at all. Probably more used to dealing with starving third world kids than New York street crust.

The doctor notes down your number, and you head back to the station, dropping the supplies off at the stairs. Heading back out, you take to the skies, shooting yourself straight up into the air with a pair of powerful wingbeats. You pick up a good bit of speed before bothering to vanish, the wind whipping through your hair and prickling along the thin membrane that clothes your wings.

You feel light as a feather up here.

As you pass by the edge of the Scar, you notice a bunch of police cars down below – three, to be exact. There seems to be a bit of a crowd gathering. You can even hear a few raised voices over the roar of the wind, though the exact words are lost on you.

If you people are so concerned, we can have Phantom and Moon Knight do a check up on Rao. If they find anything odd that should clue us in.
>>
>>43628737
Good idea.
>>
I think the main thing is that while Mystique might have keen eyes and ears, her nose is normal. So while she can replicate how someone looks and sounds with a lot of accuracy, she can't be sure how someone is supposed to smell. Though I guess a solution would be heavy perfume/cologne/aftershave?
>>
>>43628737
You. I like you. And your good ideas. You should post more often.
>>
>>43628737

>>
>>43628768
She doesn't have to know how they smell. When she replicates their biology she automatically smells like them. Its only her blue form, or when she stops sweat glands and the like that she has no smell.

But let's please put this behind us now. She can copy scents, this isn't in question. She can also stop producing a scent, this we've seen.
>>
>>43627097
Holy damn. We are some real horror movie shit when we want to be, aren't we?
>>
>>43628768
Depends on allot of factors concerning what she thinks of us and knows of our powers.
She has been an animal enough times to get their scent abilities to know how important it is. As such, we can not rule out her copying a smell if she is knowingly fucking with us.
>>
>(1/2)

…Does that bother you?

Yeah it kinda bothers you.

You think you should check it out.

Pitching yourself to one side, you swoop downward, landing on one of the nearby rooftops, just beyond the very edge of the ruins that mark the beginnings of the Exclusion Zone. You notice that fresh tape is being set up around some of the semi-collapsed buildings on the edge of the Zone, proclaiming in bold yellow and black “DO NOT ENTER – UNSAFE”. You also notice that some of it has been very recently trodden down.

The streets just below are a whirlwind in the making. There’s a whole throng of angry, frantic people down there, most of them shouting, some of them just stewing in their clothes, others carrying heavy lengths of wood or other detritus. You can sense this monumental, anxious energy coming off them, like there’s an electrical charge arcing through the crowd, growing in strength as it bounds from one frayed mind to the next.

–“can’t stop us from defending ourselves. Can’t stop us from”–

–“within our rights”–

–“Again, sir, this is for your own protection, now please step”–

–“Look at him! He’s a goddamn”–

Mutie. You hear a lot of mutie.

There are cops on the scene – eight of ‘em, mostly uniformed, though there’s a woman in plain clothes in the back. You can tell she’s a cop, though. You’d be able to tell even if she weren’t holding her badge up like some kind of magic talisman.

Nobody stands that way unless they have authority.

As far as you can tell, the police seem to be trying to keep a crowd of angry assholes in check. You notice, just beyond the lines of tape, a short, hooded shape covered from head to toe in ratty, ill-fitted fabric, only the top of his face visible. He has bright, piercing yellow eyes, and his skin is reminiscent of a snake’s.

He hisses, throwing up two very rude gestures, before turning to run.

One of the cops, seemingly uncertain, reaches for his gun, before pausing to bodily intervene as one of the civilians tries to run after the kid.

Damn, what’s this kid doing? He keeps backing off a few yards, then throwing up some awkward sign of defiance while striding forward, before backing up again whenever the crowd seems almost ready to just rush past the cops and lynch his ass. The whole scene is wired with a couple of thousand volts – the crowd is running on maximum adrenaline, the kid is twitching in his sneakers, a few of the cops seem barely an inch or two from drawing a gun.

“People, go back to your homes”– The plain clothes detective is shouting over the crowd, showing little fear in the face of the growing storm. She’s constantly being interrupted, though. –“back to your homes, this is a matter for the police. For your own protection and that of others, you need to disperse right now”–

Her voice is almost lost under a wave of inflammatory screaming. The frustration creasing her brow is almost palpable.

“Again, go back to your homes, this is a police matter”–

“Crap! Crap, Knight!”–
>>

>(2/2)

Without warning, two of the officers are roughly pushed aside, and – five, six, seven – a whole bunch of angry men and women flood by them, dashing after the snake-skinned kid. He freezes for a second, before bolting, spewing profanities.

Shit.

You move. Darting into the air, you swoop down, pushing yourself too hard and fast to maintain invisibility. There is a chorus of gasps as you hit the ground in the kid’s path, the air booming around you as your wings beat against the ground.

–“Shitshitshit”– The kid skids to a halt, eyes widening, and your danger sense ignites along your spine.

Almost before you know what you’re doing, your hand snaps out, grabbing the kid’s jaw and angling his head to one side – just in time to redirect the spray of noxious, bright green liquid he ejects from the fangs that protrude through his gums.

Your wings lash at the air, driving the crowd back, and you note the baffled look on the cops’ faces before you take off, hefting the kid up into the air with you.

“Hey! Hey!” He struggles vainly in your grasp, his chest heaving. Not so great with heights? “Put me down!”

Oh, you intend to.

You think you’ll go a little higher first, though.

He squirms desperately as you pass along the side of one of the awkwardly-angled apartment blocks that litter the Scar. Turning abruptly, you toss him down on one of the balconies, where he lands in a confused heap. You perch effortlessly on the twisted railings that separate the balcony from thin air.

“Hey.” You say, your voice low. Her looks up at you, eyes wide and full of fear. “Are you a fucking moron? What were you doing back there?”

“I…” He begins to pull himself up, pausing as if to think. “…I was just…”

He trails off, seeming to realize how stupid anything he might say would sound.

“Yeah.” You mutter. “That’s exactly what I thought.”

“Dude, what the fuck!?” He hisses, and suddenly you feel a righteous, indignant fury rear up inside of you. “Why’re you on my case!? They’re the ones that”–

You backhand him. Not as hard as you can, but hard enough to make him cringe backwards, clutching at once side of his face. When you try to catch his eyes in yours, they turn downwards.

As quickly as it appeared, the anger is gone.

“Be less retarded.” You advise, a little venom in your voice, before throwing yourself from the side of the balcony.

Slipping out of the visible spectrum, you let yourself glide back around to the site of the would-be-riot, bringing yourself down onto one of the nearby buildings for a quick scan of the scene.

The crowd is… well, it’s calmer than it was. Mostly, you think they don’t know what to do anymore. The immediate object of their ire is gone, vanished literally into thin air, and judging by the anxious posture of those that have edged their way back over the lines of tape that mark the border of the Scar, none of them particularly want to end up following him.

The cops are still hanging around, making sure nobody tries anything stupid. Plainclothes is talking to somebody on her phone, watching the proceedings from the corner of her eye.

Perking your ears up, you tune in for a moment.

“…Yeah. Yeah. No, we couldn’t pursue, the guy vanished.” She pauses, letting someone babble into her ear for a bit. “Tall, blonde, maybe kind of cute if I were in college. Weird, sort of green eyes. Some of the civilians said he had scaly hands.” Another pause, and she sighs slightly. “Yeah, maybe, but I don’t recall anyone ever saying that guy had wings.”

Interesting.

Having a threesome isn't the same thing as cheating. If she saw JJ kissing some random girl ya she'd have a problem with it. But if she was informed beforehand it's a different story.

Also, Crusty already said that Laura would be down for a threesome. Of coarse he also said that she would do basically anything JJ asked her to do.

Well, this is something. You shuffle a little closer.

“…I don’t see why people even want this guy. There’s bigger fish out there.” A blink, a frown, a roll of the eyes. “Yeah, the law is the law, I know. It just seems fishy, is all. Can you honestly say this guy deserves a whole little cabinet to himself? The Six are active, and we don’t have a dedicated team working them.” There is another pause, and a small grin lights up her face. “Yeah, there’s the captain I know.”

Man, you hope none of that implies what you think it implies. Maybe it’s all just one big understanding?

Whatever. You’ll deal with it when the time comes.

Turning your attention back to the problem of the possible riot, you ruminate for a moment on your options. You could just jump down there, bare your fangs, be scary. But you’re not immune to bullets, so maybe not? You could just call Noriko, get her to keep an eye on things.

Deep in thought, you almost don’t notice the pigeon landing on the opposite end of the roof. Almost. You start to shuffle away, them being filthy creatures an’ all, and then… an idea strikes you.

A terrible, terrible idea.

You take to the skies. Finding more pigeons is not hard – this is New York. The city is a heaving morass of human detritus, perfectly ripe for the picking by scavengers of all sorts. The skies are practically bustling with the little winged rodents. They’re stupid as hell, too – convincing them that your little plan is the best thing ever is laughably easy.

Twenty minutes later, you settle back in on the roof, and watch the show commence.
>>
>(2/2)

There is an almost thunderous collective rustle, scores of tiny wings beating in unison as the grey tide casts its shadow over the street. You hear shouts, then confused utterances, and then there is the most wonderful noise imaginable – it’s like… it’s like a sheer ton of wet paint slapping against the pavement all at once. The flight of pigeons let loose their bowels, and cover the crowd in a concentrated volley of wet, greasy birdshit.

Truly, life is magnificent.

Shouts turn to screams and shrieks, men and women dashing for the nearest available cover as the flock come in for a second run. The pavement is slick with leavings, a few unfortunate would-be-rioters slipping to their knees, where they are covered in a second coating of avian waste products.

You almost laugh.

The cops, most of them backing well away from the spectacle, shoot each other bewildered stares. Plainclothes is staring, wide eyed, the phone at her ear forgotten.

“Well…” She says, quietly. “That ain’t normal.”

Hair isn't a flat surface, you mongoloid, it has texture and varying shades of lighting.
>>
>>43630392
Part of the her hair is pulled down by the straps on the mask. Its not easy to spot since I chose have dark haired character stand against dark background while partially covered in darkness.
>>
>>43630427
You should probably change outline, or background color. Make one dark green, and other dark blue or dark grey or something, SO they pop out more. That or do some more shading, and ad at least one extra color for shade transitions.

Yeah, its a work in progress. I spent a whole week on making the JJ one. Most work I've done on Laura has been during this thread.

Oh, man, you never thought talking to birds could be so great. That was some Apocalypse Now shit. How did you ever live before you had bird friends?

It takes all your inner strength not to be a huge, smug asshole and taunt the fleeing crowd. It’d just bring them back quicker, probably – though you guess they’d have to be pretty dang stupid not to suspect mutie shenanigans in the first place. Officer Knight – you’re pretty sure that’s what one of the others called her – pretty obviously smells some foul play, and not only because the smell in the air is indeed very foul, holy shit, this street is uninhabitable as of now.

Mostly with the intent of sparing your nose the shitstorm to come, you take to the air, heading North, toward the Agency.

The journey isn’t a long one. You’re always surprised by just how much time you can cut out when you’re literally above all the tiresome diversions and backstreets of the city. You glide down to the ground on the raised porch in front of the office, the muscles in your back tightening, wings receding back under your skin. It hurts a lot less now – though, you can’t help but notice that a great deal of their mass doesn’t actually fold back into you, but, rather, disintegrates into a cloud of tiny, glowing embers.

You knock on the door. It’s about a minute before you hear feet on the stairs.
>>
>(2/2)

When the door creaks open, you’re faced with that chubby kid you met back when you first came round. Glasses, big sweater, kinda… Velma looking. Her name sort of escapes you for the moment, but you’re sure you can work around it.

She glances out onto the apparently empty street, her brow creasing into a deep, long-suffering frown, and prepares to slam the door.

You swear, she nearly jumps out of her skin when you push back, holding the door open.

“Hey.” You say, quietly. “It’s me. I’m… invisible an’ stuff.”

Composing herself, the girl adjusts her glasses, narrowing her eyes out at you – over your shoulder, technically, but it’s the thought that counts.

“Why are you invisible?”

“Because I’m not wearing a shirt.” Pausing, you elaborate: “And I’m covered in weird mutant weirdness. Lemme in.”

Still looking a little wary, she steps aside, and you slip in, shutting the door behind you. Releasing the valve in your mind, you let yourself shimmer back into view. The girl starts slightly, her eyes sticking to you for a moment, before she very pointedly directs them elsewhere.

“…What?”

“Nothing.” She straightens herself up, heading back up the stairs. “…Did you get bigger since I last saw you?”

Uh, maybe?

Well, actually, definitely. But you’re not sure you told anyone you could rip a car in twain, so you’re in a bit of an awkward spot here. About half these gains are legit, the rest just seemed to come naturally as you got stronger.

“Uh, it’s the horns.” You say, grinning sheepishly. “They add an inch or two.”

She stops, and looks back.

“Holy shit.” Her eyes widen. “You have horns.”

Yep. You nod.

You guess she was too distracted by your way manly muscles to notice. That’s a pretty good feeling right there.

“Hey.” You say, quietly, as the two of you ascend the stairs. She looks back, to find you with your arms posed in the cliché macho man style, muscles flexing. You grin mercilessly. “Are they really that distracting?”

She sighs loudly, eliciting a small chuckle from you, and stomps up the stairs.

“He’s here.” She announces, in her nasally voice, as you turn toward the main office. “And he’s worse than I remembered.”

“Excellent.” Comes the Phantom’s voice, from round the corner, in her little study. You hear her rise from her chair, and she emerges out into the room proper. Nico trails in behind her, waving over her shoulder.

“He and Minoru have a lot of reading to do.”

Boosting gives them a brief increase to the next level. Boosting level 5 eyebeams would give you level 6. From level 3 onwards, higher levels are more noticeable, and 5 -> 6 is clearly a multiplicative jump. It'd be pretty nuts, but it'd also take 5 Solar charges, so having Photo 5 would be a fairly good idea.

Agreed, sort of. Typhon is too dangerous, maybe even for something like a Phantom Zone, and he's not particularly human in mind or body, so there's next to no moral consequences there.

Creeper also needs to be killed. Detaining someone with his powers would be too costly to be worth keeping him alive. He's scum and as far as we know, he lacks any loved ones. But actually killing him might do really bad stuff to JJ's psyche. Ideally, we would just, uh, "not save him." Or maybe Dr. Rao's research will pay off before the showdown and we'll get a third option, but with our luck, that's not happening.

To put this in perspective, we could PROBABLY cover the scar in fully grown plants in the course of a night. At least the parts we care about. Doesn't one of the mutants we have on the tunnels, the one who was going to open a bath house when we met Rao actually, have the power to create water? If we can get some sort of bioluminiscent plant that doesn't require natural sunlight, she could keep them irrigated.
As for drinkable water, maybe we could keep hydrated by eating lots of fruit and drinking our own urine.

The plants could not detected Creeper. His powers allow selectively disable all life from sensing himself if he conceously thinks of it.

Besides, if we are talking about plants that could kill people so easily, how are they going to distinguish friendly targets? Talking to them doesn't let them perceive the world like we do or let them have memories like we do to be able to identify right targets from wrong targets. Getting the right mutation for identification and a offensive ability would also be extremely rare combiation.

So can JJ make vine-tentacles for tenderly loving Laura?
>>
I'm sorry but all your arguments flew out the window once crusty mentioned multimelta daffodils. Them being rare just makes me think we should start sooner. Hell if it works like plants and the mutation is passed on we could have a small room where we breed new ones continuosly then take their seeds and spread them around once they have something we can use.

Creeper affects minds to make people around "forget" him but a Venus Trap is a motion based predator. That's actually even better.

But plants must have some sort of mind in the Crustyverse for Floral Affinity to work, so maybe Creeper does get around those too.

He can control them, so I don't see why it wouldn't be possible.

Could there be mutated plants that can act as bombs?

Venus flytraps don't perceive shit. They have little triggers inside their traps that activate a sort of hydraulic mechanism. It'd catch him just like a beartrap would catch him.

Now I'm looking for stuff that would fit druid ablities.

Why do I love Darkstar so much? It's pretty simple when I think about it. Darkstar isn't just the best character in the series, he might just be the greatest character of all time. Just imaging him riding through the sands of Dorne, the wind in his hair, his mighty steed below him. As he rides through the red mountains, the ladies swoon at his very scent. They know how he smells, the essence of his smell is sold in Planky Town under the the name of "Greenblood Orgasm." The very nature of Darkstar is mystery. could he be playing a deeper game than even his creator realizes? The answer is yes, he has transcended such boundaries as the written world, and has free will to do whatever he sees fit. However, Darkstar is filled with such guile, such arcane craft that he does not even use these powers. Why, you might ask? You will never know, for the mind of the Darkstar is not one that is easily penetrated. Darkstar is such a force of nature in his realm that nothing can truly touch him, the only thing keeping him bound to the page at all is his will to exist within the preordained boundaries of his world. Darkstar is not only beyond the comprehension of us, he exists within a plane of true focus and beauty. Observe his playful smile, his gorgeous and rippling biceps, his gallant nose, and most importantly, his eyes. His eyes, like pools of saffron, provide the only glimpse into the true machinations of Darkstar. Do not stare into them. Many good men have gone mad in the attempt. Darkstar is not just a character, a formless collection of words and images, he is himself is the binding that holds the saga together. Without Darkstar, the entire series, the entire world of Westeros as we know it crumbles. The Trident would stop flowing without Darkstar, the Reach would become a desolate crater, and the Wall would melt without his frosty gaze. These are just of a few of the reasons why I like Darkstar so much.
