ah yeah welcome back Laze, Also here is my new attempt at Kon given the info we have of him so far (mind you I gave him a cut down flak jacket)

In the morning, you take one more chance to make sure you've packed everything you could need before heading downstairs and eating what will be your last meal in the Leaf for some time.

Afterwards, you leave your house to find that Konohamaru is already waiting for you.

"Come on bro, don't keep me waiting like this!" he insists. "Let's hurry and tell the Hokage so we can leave! This is gonna be the best trip ever!"

You chat with an eager Konohamaru as you two head to the Hokage's office. Upon arriving, you find Sasuke and Jiraiya are also there with Itachi.

"Good morning Kon, Konohamaru." the Sixth greets as you enter. "From the looks of it, you two intend on leaving for training of your own."

"Aren't you going with Neji and Itachi to the summit?" Jiraiya asks. "I can't imagine that you'll be able to complete whatever regimen Enma has for you in that time. Sasuke certainly won't be. He's gonna be getting some hellish training like never before!"

"Kon might just surprise you Lord Jiraiya." Itachi interrupts. "It wouldn't be the first time. But whether he cuts his training short to come to the summit, or decides to train uninterrupted, he may do as he wishes. I can find someone else to come with us if necessary."

"Very well." the Hokage responds. "In the meantime, we will be working out a plan for the village while we are away."

"I'm sure you can handle it, Itachi." Jiraiya insists. "Well, we'll leave you to it. Sasuke, we're off."

Jiraiya makes to leave, and motions Sasuke to follow. Before he goes, he turns to Itachi.

"When this is over, I'll be stronger. Much stronger." Sasuke says. "At that time, I'll show you that I can be your equal. That I can do just as much for this village as you can."

In contrast to Sasuke's determination, Itachi just replies with a gentle smile. "I look forward to it, little brother. But remember that there's no rush. You just take as much time as you need."

As Sasuke leaves, he shoots one last comment at you. "Of course I trust you won't fall behind either, will you Kon?"

You give him a nod before he finally takes his leave.

"Well Kon, unless you have any final business before you leave, you are cleared." the Sixth tells you. "Good luck."

You and Konohamaru leave the Hokage's office. With nothing keeping you, the two of you head to a clear area with no one else around.

The only remaining question is how to breach the topic to Enma. He did initially make the offer, but some tact might be in order.

Then again, you could just be frank. With how Enma was insisting before, you'd probably have to offend him pretty badly to get rejected now.

You perform the Summoning Jutsu, and Enma appears in a puff of smoke.

"Not in battle, this time." the monkey king comments, looking around. "And it's the both of you. Intent on more training this time?"

"We're prepared to train under you, King Enma." you say, offering a bow. "I have only a month, but Konohamaru here can train as long as you see fit. Will you please take us into your tutelage?"

"It's about time you two came around." Enma says. "I was getting fed up with waiting. Let's not waste any more time. We go!"

Before you know it, Enma has make handsigns and both you and Konohamaru have disappeared.

When the smoke clears, you find yourself on a pristine mountainside with giant trees and flowers, and streams running down it. You see monkeys here and there, relaxing or goofing around. Towards the summit, there is a peak shrouded in mist.

After a few moments Enma appears before you again, having reverse summoned himself.

"This will be where you will train." he explains. "The Mountain of Fruit and Flowers, also known as Kakazan."

Enma points to some giant flowers. "Any time that you are not training eating, or drinking water, will be spent on top of one of those flowers. There you will both meditate and sleep. Make sure to keep the distinction between them."

Enma then points toward the top of the mountain, surrounded by mist. "Up there is a tree. The fruits of that tree are all that you will eat while you are here. You will eat one every day, and you will eat it as soon as you pluck it. Other than water, you will consume nothing else."

"I will train you one at a time." Enma goes on. "Kon, you will train from the moment the sun begins to rise to midday, when the sun is highest. Then Konohamaru will take your place until the sun has disappeared beyond the horizon. The half of the day you do not spend training under me shall be spent procuring your daily fruit or water, meditating, or training on your own. Do you understand?"

You look to Konohamaru. He looks significantly less enthused than before.

"Good." Enma replies. "You go find your way around for now. In fact, you might want to get started on that fruit. If you skip it for today, you'll regret it."

Konohamaru head s up the mountain, while you set your things aside and prepare for your training.

"The way of the monkey is to learn by imitating." Enma begins. "You will learn from me by doing what I do. By the time we are finished, you will move with the same agility that I do. We will begin every day by sparring in hand to hand combat. Let us begin."

Enma takes a stance a ways away from you.

He said to learn by imitating. For that, you need to see him in action first.

You take a defensive stance and wait for Enma to approach. After he sees that he will have to make the first move, Enma slowly approaches you. His movements are slow and methodical, not at all like you'd expect, but as soon as he gets in range, he unleashes a flurry of strikes. You just barely manage to guard as you jump back to safety, but Enma flips forward and drops a kick on you from above. You manage to get your head out of the way, but he clips your shoulder, and pulls his legs back before you can grab him.

He goes to approach again, and this time you dodge before he begins his attack, but Enma bounds as he attacks, and strafes around you. You just can't follow his movements. By staying on the defensive, you manage to keep your beating minimal, and you try to get an idea of his movements. They're certainly like no taijutsu you've ever seen. The explosive and chaotic style will be hard to imitate for sure.

After a while, Enma stops and sets you off for a water break. When you return, Enma urges you to follow him. He leads you to a deep chasm, with bamboo shoots growing from it.

"We will be crossing this chasm for the next portion of our training." Enma explains. "You may use any method you see fit, but remember that you will be getting as much out of this training as you put in."

With that Enma crosses, clinging to and jumping from the taller shoots.

Enma said to imitate, so that's what you'll do.

You attempt to take the same path as Enma, but it's rough. You can't jump nearly as effectively from shoot to shoot, and there are several points where you almost fall short.

As the chasm goes on, the shoots get farther and farther from each other. In addition, you're starting to ache from exerting yourself like this. It will take some getting used to. For now, you have to slow down quite a bit in order to make the jumps, and at some points you even need to lean the shoot over until you can manage.

After nearly an hour, you finally catch up to Enma. You arrive on a stone pillar. There are several like it nearby.

"A bit slow." Enma comments. "Well, you'll improve quickly I'm sure. Here, you will train to use the staff."

Enma breaks off two bamboo shoots and tosses one to you.

"You'll start with these, and work your way up until you can wield me in my Adamanitne Staff form." Enma explains. "Now, remember not to fall off. These pillars are narrow."

Enma takes a stance with his shoot.

You don't have any training with the staff beyond the basics they teach you in the academy, but you can use the environment to your advantage.

By hopping from pillar to pillar, you make it hard for Enma to mount an effective attack on you. He'll jump after you, get in one swing, then you'll deflect while making your way to another pillar.

The strategy keeps you unharmed, but your staff skill doesn't see much improvement. With this, you never see Enma attempt a string of attacks either. At least you're improving your footwork.

After a while Enma calls it, and you put the shoots aside. The two of you cross the chasm again, and it once again takes quite a while.

By the time you return it is midday, as you had a late start today. You see Konohamaru returned, his arms and legs all scuffed up. He looks particularly dissatisfied.

"So you didn't get the fruit, eh?" Enma asks him. "Well, you'll manage for one day. Come. We will start with a spar. Kon, I leave you to your devices."

Enma and Konohamaru take off, leaving you the rest of the day.

If Konohamaru had failed to get the fruit after attempting for so long, it must be quite a trial. You decide to head up there first.

It takes you a while to climb the peak, as the mist obscures everything not directly in front of you. When you finally get to the top, you see the tree in front of you. It's absolutely massive. You can see why Konohamaru must have had trouble. With the mist, you can't even see any fruit. They must be quite high up. You get ready to make the ascent.

While you're here, you should just keep acting like a monkey. The more you do so, the easier it'll be to adapt Enma's moves.

You start heading up the massive tree by jumping from branch to branch, and you soon realize the true reason that Konohamaru didn't reach the top. When you try to steady your landing from a jump using chakra, any attempts to mold it are thwarted as soon as your feet touch the tree. This tree must have some property that makes molding chakra while touching it impossible. That will make this quite a bit more difficult.

As you climb higher and higher, he branches get further apart, and the jumps get more difficult. You almost fall quite a number of times, but after a few hours, you reach the top.

There are several fruits growing from the branches up here. It's still hard to see very far, as the mist is just as thick up here, but there are several fruits easily within reach. You pluck one and eat it immediately as you were told.

The fruit is horribly bitter, but leaves a strangely sweet aftertaste. Although it isn't much, you feel full from having eaten it alone. Afterwards, you carefully make your way back down.

By the time you descend, the sun has just finished setting. You see Konohamaru heading for one of the giant flowers. He looks absolutely exhausted.

If you want to get the most out of this training, you have to stick to it. It's time to go to sleep.

You climb up to one of the flower tops to find that there is only room for you if you sit down in the center with your legs crossed, keeping your balance as close to the center of the flower as possible so it doesn't lean. It takes quite a while for you to get it right, and your sleep suffers. Konohamaru has a just so slightly easier time of it due to being smaller.

The next morning, Konohamaru heads straight for the peak as soon as the sun rises, while you get ready for your spar.

You stay on the defensive again, this time trying to copy a bit of Enma's footwork. You take another beating, but you feel like you could get used to moving like that.

You continue through your day with agility and staff training, then return to the flower tops to meditate with your remaining time, while Enma tries to disturb your concentration.

As the sun hits the center of the sky and you get up from your meditation, Konohamaru runs over, looking fairly proud of himself.

"I did it, I got the fruit!" he says. "Now we can really start training!"

"Good work, Konohamaru." Enma replies. "You are correct. This is where it truly begins. In about two weeks of those fruit, we may finally see some results."

Konohamaru and Enma get ready to start their spar.

You prioritize getting the fruit, and it's still a trial, but you can tell you're getting better. By the end of this training, you should be scaling this tree easily.

You spend the little time you have left once you descend meditating before you go to sleep.

Attuned to your day's schedule, and improving all your skills, the only question is how you use your ever increasing free time in the evening.

You spend most of your free time training your agility. After only a few days, you already notice a difference, as your balance and speed has improved immensely. You also take the time to continue training in one handed seals, and manage to develop them for all of your jutsu save for your Impact jutsu. They seem to be quite a bit harder to use one hand for, and will need more practice.

After two weeks, you and Konohamaru are fairly accustomed to your training. You can put up a decent spar with Enma, and your improved agility makes hopping around much less daunting. Though Konohamaru seems to have surpassed you in staff skill.

On the fifteenth day of your training, Enma gets both of you together.

Enma tells you to be perfectly still, and try to feel the Nature chakra around you.

"Careful not to draw in too much." Enma warns. "You can turn into a monkey and then to stone if you're not careful. If you start to get too monkey-like then stop immediately."

The two of you focus on not moving and sensing around you. It takes quite some tie to actually become in tune with nature enough to feel anything, but eventually you sense it. You feel the flow of chakra in everything around you.

You both start to draw in chakra slowly, careful not to go too fast and upset the balance of your chakra.

"Stop, you two." you hear Enma call. "That's enough."

You open your eyes and look at Konohamaru in front of you. His eyes are surrounded by red pigment, and his irises are orange.

"Excellent, Konohamaru." Enma says. "Your aptitude with Nature chakra seems to be perfect. Your grandfather couldn't even manage the tiniest amount."

Enma then turns to you. "Well, it's quite the improvement over Sarutobi, at least. You seem to have made a partial transformation. Go have a look in the water."

You do as Enma says, and go look at your reflection. You've grown sideburns, and your face is notably rougher, with red markings under your eyes. More notably, you turn around to see a tail growing out of your backside.

"It may not be perfect, but it is quite an upgrade regardless." Enma tells you as he approaches. "Go on, try it out."

You try and get a feel for this form to find that you can move around with ease you could never have imagined. You're more agile than Enma even.

"I think with your unique release. you could make an unmatchable fighting style." Enma says, as you hop around. "Konohamaru will have more improved jutsu proficiency, but I think I'll have more fun teaching you. Now sit back down, you two. Our training has only just begun."
