(PAST THREAD - http://archive.4plebs.org/tg/thread/43814368/ )

You are Tylus Adriaanse. A force sensitive human from the Outer-Rim planet of Drascent – A militaristic Hutt planet that gains its fortunes from the scavenging of deserted planets: Making you quite valuable to Doja Bogga Grella, reigning patriarch, as your nascent recognition of the force allows you to recognize force-imbued relics, often some of the most valuable treasures.

In exchange for relative freedom from the usual slavery the huts place upon your kind, you’ve been conscripted into the Treasury Expedition Force, composed of 20 soldiers of various races with you at the commanding helm.

And as of the last thread, you have entered the tomb of the hooded man and have sent soldiers down a fork in the road to examine the different paths after finding evidence of someone currently living within the tomb. All soldiers reported back with the exception of your soldiers sent down the central corridor where echoes were heard.

---

The damp atmosphere of the tomb once again has condensation forming on the inside of your mask, making it uncomfortable to breath. The same reaction seems to happen throughout the company, stressed men and women of several races stripping of their helms to cool their flushed faces.
"Commander, what next?" The voice of one of your compatriots rings over the comms network.

Grasping your blaster firmly, you decide the next course of action.
A.) Follow the missing group of soldiers with the remaining 16 and yourself.
B.) Focus on clearing the blocked passageway
C.) Stealthily, with 3 or less soldiers, attempt to scout the passageway yourself.
D.) Other (Write-In)

Sorry about the thread ending early last night, been on medication that's made me sleepy as hell lately and sorta passed out.

You motion to move forward, 7 soldiers in the front, 7 soldiers following behind you. The atmosphere seems to get heavier as you step into the passage, the cloying darkness growing thicker with every step. The walls slowly began to lose their smooth architectural look, traded for the rough stone of a carved out cave in the rock of Moraband's mountains. The echoes slowly became more pronounced, groans of agony, and light chatter between two individuals. The steps of your soldiers were too loud to make out much else.

The darkness began to lighten, pale red light filling the path before your group, its source unknown. The rocky terrain beneath you does little to silence the sounds of your footsteps as the cavern opens, giving you precious few seconds to examine the situation before you when the pathway opens into an expansive cavern.

The room stretched on for what seemed to be several hundred yards, leery red light illuminating most of it. Before you stood hunched over man, wearing loose fitting robes as he turned to face your regiment. Next to him, a youth of no more than 15 wielding an electrified staff stood, on the body of your presumably deceased comrade. The situation seemed a slaughter, the smell of burnt flesh accentuated the sight of your forward squad's mangled corpses.

The man looks at you and gives you a sinister grin.

You respond...
A.) "Drop your weapons and you will be spared!"
B.) "Bloodshed doesn't need to happen, let us find a reasonable solution."

Immediately you give the signal to open fire on the pair of strange humans. Blaster fire fills the room, and you swear the aim of you and your men is near perfect, but not a single shot seems to hit their intended target – either avoiding the older cloaked man, or being deflected by the electrified staff of the young boy. The red light around you flares, the man let’s out a horrifyingly loud and deep laugh, raises his hands, and the smell of ozone fills your nostrils.

The front line of your soldiers is struck down instantly by lightening, the armor being conductive, your ceramic plates avoid much damage but the electricity tingles down your joints. You continue to fire with desperation, a shot makes contact with the boy and he screams, charging you with the staff. It takes mere seconds for the boy to sprint to you, and smash your head with his weapon.

The blanket of unconsciousness does nothing to shield you from the pain in your skull, feverish nightmares wrack your body and mind, meaningless images and an endless sense of anxiety permeating your existence. Slowly you slip back into reality, voices around you, even the most quiet sound feeling like white-hot nails being slipped down your ears. Your right eye slowly opens, the dim light is almost blinding but you force yourself to adjust, survival instincts kicking in. All you see is a young boy standing above you, probably the same age as the youth that bashed you over the skull but clearly a different person. He holds a dripping rag above your mouth, letting the moisture fall onto your parched tongue, heaven is the only word that comes to mind as the droplets roll over your lips.

You raise your neck, examining the area around you. The first and oddest thing is that you, and the couple dozen humans, twilek, and assorted races are all lacking clothing, among them not a single recognizable face, the second, that you are trapped in a relatively deep pit some 20 ft. down. The boy laughs with the sound of a person who has been sick for a very long time, and with a voice equally as raspy says “Everyone is just as shocked when they wake up, I’d say don’t worry, but that would be a lie.”

A.) “Where the hell am I?”

"Where the hell am I?" You groan in frustration. Nobody really seems to notice beyond the boy several inches away from you. He shakes his head, and in the same strange raspy accent responds

"You are in a prison, the people you fight outside here, they use us for their experiments, we have they say, the power, the force I think they call it." He coughs, a little bit of blood is wiped away from the corner of his lip as he continues, "I have been a prisoner of theirs for many many months, they travel here... We stay in this cave ever since." The boy was definitely from a culture removed from mass media, the accent was too hard to place regardless of the fact he was human.

"So they are collecting those with a connection to the force, and experimenting on them?" You get out slowly, taking small sips form the wet rag. The boy nods.

"You know," he continues, "they'll come for you soon, take it from me," he grasps your hand, "Survive. It's possible. I do it for long time now." His grip releases, almost on cue the light chatter in the prison pit silences.

A sensation of weightlessness fills you, you're floating. The boy makes eye contact with you, almost repeating the message silently. Quickly you rise over the pit, forced into a laying position in the air, the heat of the pit leaving your bare body in the cool air.

>>43826333

As you rise above the precipice of the pit, you see the man and boy, the man sits in a chair, one arm raised towards you, the other unfastening straps on a table, the boy stands near it, grinning a devilish smile, small dark lines running across his pale face.

You're lowered onto the table, the straps fastening your arms and legs to the cold metal surface. And the man stands over you, giving you the first clear look at his face. Gaunt, very gaunt with papery skin stretched tights over angular bones. If the boy had dark lines on his face, this man had caverns of blackness stretching from every wrinkle, leading to unnaturally orange eyes.

"You, you are a novelty," he proclaims, "Who might you be?"

In a fit of bravado, you spit at the man, "The one who's gonna shove a blaster up your ass and hold the trigger down 'till it overheats if you don't let me out of here." In all honesty the monstrous elder looked shocked to say the least.

"Such aggression even after being near death for several days... How unseemly." He places a hand on your forehead, "We'll do this the rough way then." Immediately searing pain emanates from your head. Through the haze of agony you hear the man mumbling.

"Tylus, such an odd name. A Hutt's slave.. barbaric creatures... " You almost want to laugh t the pure hypocrisy, with all the pain you suffered from your Huttenese masters nothing was a horrible as this.

His hand lifted, the pain left just as quickly. The man gestured and the table moved upwards, forcing you into a standing position but still bound to the table.

The boy stood, and took a stance as if readying for combat. The old man spoke "Now, concentrate your rage Apprentice. See if you can actually harm this one." The tone was almost disappointing.

The boy raised his arms, and so began hours of pain, ranging form the "Apprentice's" light shocks, to the examples given by the older man, whom the boy referred to as 'Master', which were agonizing in every sense of the term.

By the time you were lowered into the pit, every inch of your body ached, hair was singed in... Uncomfortable places, and nobody in the pit seemed to be surprised or care. Beyond of course, the young boy.

Running up to you, he handed you bandages.

A.) Reject his offer, remain solitary.

You grab the simple cloth bandages form the boy, nodding to him, "Thank you..." you trail off realizing you never caught his name.

"Seth." He rasps. Simple enough. He watches as you bandage yourself, the roll of cloth quickly diminishing as you attempt to cover your wounds. Luckily anything open was cauterized by the electricity, and were shallow. You struck up small conversation with Seth. He and his brother, who he referred to in a way that makes you think him deceased, were kidnapped by the older man nearly a year ago, atleast he estimates, from a small mining colony in the core worlds.

...

Over the next few weeks, time passed in an odd fashion, days at a time you would be left alone, leaving yourself to converse with the boy, contemplate the insane mutterings of your fellow prisoners. Some days you would be taken, and torture would be your existence. the boy training on you, day by day gaining strength with your agony.

The Master, Darth Gareth as you've heard the Apprentice mutter at times, began subjecting you to experimentation, often stoking your sense of the force to appear, manifesting in strange shows of light, often the man seemed fascinated and hurried to record findings in his holocron.

And as when you are the boy returned from these sessions, you consoled eachother by sharing scavenged cloth for bandages, talking to take the mind off of your pains. As you slowly approached the breaking point.

You had considered avenues of escape, and as you were raised out of the pit, an opportunity reared its glorious head in the form of the Apprentice forgetting to buckle your left arm fully, apply enough pressure and you could easily swing it forward.

A.) Wait until the apprentice is close enough, and attempt to kill him via suffocation. Use his weapon as protection.

The apprentice straps you down, yet the vambrace holding your left wrist could easily be slipped out of if you forced it. The Apprentice, several years your junior, grips your cheeks with one hand, "Such a pathetic wretch, its a surprise you haven't died yet." He spits at you and then walks back to take his position, as his back is turned, you quickly force your wrist out, grab a scalpel, and smoothly slide the blade beneath the wrappings of a bandage near your thigh, and then limply hanging your wrist back through the loop.

He turns to face you, none the wiser. The pain begins but you just remain limp, Seth had told you this would happen, an existence of pain grows dull, agony becomes something to ignore, and all that occupies your pain addled brain is the thought of returning the punishment to the insolent child before you ten-fold.

The apprentice's blows simply didn't matter anymore, you knew you were going to exact revenge, you knew it was your turn to be the inflicter of pain. As he lowered the table, and began unstrapping you, one arm was freed, using that, you gripped him by the neck, pulling him on top of your prone body, and with the loosened hand, grab the scalpel, and drive it deep into his neck.

Pure rage exits the boys mouth as red, warm blood gushes over you. The Master rushes into the room to see the apprentice standing over you. bleeding profusely, and his eyes glow redder to an intensity that it brightens the room around you. The master simply sits back and watches.

As the apprentice's eyes grow crimson, he raises his arms in a fashion similar to his Master, and the worst pain you have ever felt devours you. Again and again searing pain eradicates your sense of self, you smell burning flesh.

Then it snaps.

Every ounce of emotion stored within you begins to spill forth, as if a dam had busted in your mind.

The apprentice backs up quickly, stumbling and falling on his ass. You scream, a scream of anger filled with the agony of over a month of persistent torture, the pain of watching your comrades be slaughtered, the pain of nearly submitting to sanity with every waking breath.

An inky cloud rushes forth and devours the apprentice.

A small glimpse in a reflective surface shows you, eyes like stars, veins filled with oil, anger fit for the lord of hell radiating from your every breath.

The cloud dissipates, only bones are left.

You collapse.

Unconsciousness takes hold.

Dreams filled your sleep. The same hooded figure, whos tomb you were in at this very moment, was again standing at the floating platform among thousands. He didn't not wear the regalia his statue so elegantly adorned, but rather simple blue robes. And as his muffled voice ushered the crowd to cheer violently, he donned his dark robes, and the vision went black.

Another arose in the void, a Twilek girl, standing among ruins. Milling around here were dozens of training soldiers, seemingly in the art of the light saber. A man in brown robes placed a hand on her shoulder. The vision went away as you began to wake.

"Seth, what happened..." You mutter, mind cloudier than the day you had first arrived.

"My child, you have ascended..." The voice of the Master responded, shocking you to your feet with the revelation that you were no longer sleeping on a stone floor, but rather a roughly cushioned cot.

You run. Towards any exit you can, Darth Gareth simply flicks his wrist and the passage closes, leaving you trapped.

"The Rule of Two," he begins with a sigh at your escape, "Demand there always be a Master and an Apprentice, so dictated by the Master of the man who spends his eternal slumber in these depths, Darth Sideous." he points with an oddly clawed finger, "You, you are far stronger than the dead boy you destroyed. You, you will be his replacement."

A giggle actually escapes your lips with the incredulous offer "You've been torturing me for months and now you want me to be your student?! Are you senile or just an idiot?" Disbelief paints your voice.

"The pain you experienced simply fueled your power. I think your show from earlier proved that enough..." The paper skin folded back in a smile, "I offer you the strength to never fall to an adversary, to never fall to the whims of others..." In an almost whimsical tone Gareth began chanting:

"Peace is a lie, there is only passion.
Through passion, I gain strength.
Through strength, I gain power.
Through power, I gain victory.
Through victory, my chains are broken.
The Force shall free me"

The power is tempting, and being in his good graces gives you a better chance to kill him later. Raising your voice, you say "I accept." Simple but effective.

"First," You begin, "What is this 'Rule of Two' you're speaking about? What does any of this mean?"

He lays his hand on a nearby table, lowering the hood around his ancient face, though a certain strength seems to course through him. The gray hair sits tied back in a tight tail, black lines tracing his skin to his orange eyes. " The Rule of Two is a creed created by the Sith Lord Darth Bane, you have heard of the Sith yes?" You nod your head, the legend of Sith and Jedi permeated your home world with fantasies of liberation from slavery, "You were extinct." You state.

"Incorrect young one. The Sith persisted. The Rule of Two ensured that for our kind. Darth Bane, Master of Darth Sideous, created this concept to ensure the longevity of our teachings. Only two wielders of our power will exist, the Master, who embodies power, and the Apprentice, who craves it. Past Sith wielded enormous power in numbers, but without an Emperor of appropriate strength, the Sith never survived for long. Thus, we ensure that infighting remains at a minimum, that our strength is exuded by the pair and their servants." You shuffle your feet, morbidly fascinated with the history of the order you were forced in to.

"Thus, you will now crave my power, and if I ever weaken, you will take my place and raise an apprentice of your own, and so the cycle will continue until the True Emperor rises to command the Sith to a perfect existence as masters of this Universe." The lecturing continues. "You have always felt the force yes? The power that exists at the fringes of your mind. That is our tool. The force is melded by our emotion, and takes from as we see fit. It gives us strength greater than any being, agility rivaling the quickest machinations, and wisdom beyond our years. You harnessed your anger, and destroyed a being whom was weaker than you, that is evidence as your destiny as a Sith Lord."

He grins. "Yes my son, that forcefulness is exactly what you will learn to exist by. I will grant you these demands," the admirable tone quickly shifts to a threatening one, "though command me again and I will bring you to your knees"

"Our mission is simple Apprentice. You will be trained, and once you are powerful enough we will begin the reestablishment of the Sith. You will learn the ways of our order, and will rise with me to command the resurgence of a new Empire. The goal of our predecessors, and the goal of your future students should I fall."

You straighten your posture, reminiscent of your days as a military commander and walk up to the woman. You turn your head to look at the expectant Master. "Is this what the Sith do? Kill innocents for fun? If I understood my situation correctly, she is a force-sensitive yes? Why waste the potential of such a useful resource? No wonder your apprentice was pathetic."

The rage was almost tangible from your Master. His grin slowly melted, the result of your demands no doubt.

The results are... As you should have probably expected. He raises his hand, and your near perfect posture is ruined as you are thrown to the floor by a wave of power. "I did tell you I would not accept insubordination, did I not?" He lifts you to your knees. He commands the woman to walk forward, she kneels beside you, "I will not cripple you this time whelp, so you will get to keep your pets," the woman sobs, she gets to live, "Do not dare question my commands again." Lightening flares from his hands, searing your body in that all too familiar pain.

The Master walks away, shaking his head out of anger. You rise to your feet, and hold out your hands to the two nude figures before you to help them up, suffering from the residual effects of the lightening.

Seth stares at you with an astounded expression, his trademark look of happiness tinged with pain, the woman continued crying as you asked for her name.

"C- c- Celene." She manages to force out. You silence her with a raised hand, motioning to be silent. She shakes silently, but manages to keep herself under control. Seth stands expectantly.

"I have freed you from the experimentation of my Master, and in return, you will serve me until your deaths. Accept, or I will be forced to watch you suffer." You don't mean to threaten, but mercy would surely anger the Sith Lord even more than your insubordinate behavior.

You command the two to follow you, Seth helping to calm Celene, leading her down the dim paths towards your room. You tell them to scavenge clothing from the dead Apprentice's things, as you leave to find Gareth.

Gareth stands looking over the pit, that damned hole that still gives you shudders. "Have you calmed your stupidity?" He grunts underneath his breath. "You stand on the precipice of god-hood, and you defy your teacher? Idiot." Shaking his head, he raises one of the insane prisoners to the surface, he gestures to tie them to the table, and you follow suit.

The man babbles in a foreign language, you look at him with pity, but value your own hide more than his.

"My experiments are not only to inflict pain Apprentice," Gareth begins, " I seek to renew the ancient rituals of the Sith, and we are almost there. The tomb of Lord Vader, a place where I have seen the future of the Sith beginning, is nearly open. But it requires sacrifice. The sacrifice of darkness aligned midichlorians." noting your confusion he explains, "The cells in your body responsible for your control of the force, Vader had a strange fascination with them towards the end of his life, before his falling to the light. The spirit of his darkness placed this lock on the door of his tomb, and you shall be the one to unlock it."

He gestures to the man bound to the table, "And in this process you will learn to harness the Dark Side."

The table rises to a standing position, and your master raises his hands, you feel the crackling as the electricity shoots out, the man screams in agony.

"We do not know where your affinity lies, whether that be in the physical or energetic manipulations of the force... Try to think of wher eyour strength lies.

A.) The force points you to the pathway of a Sorcerer, manipulating the force to show physical manifestation.

Basically, alexander the great. Sith marshal or some such, a conquerer tho. Melding of bladework and cult of personality I suppose

I would consider this a more physical combat style rather than personality/charisma decision

Strategy/charisma/physical?

I suppose akin to the jedi generals in the clone wars

Err let me rephrase, this decision is about deciding what kind of combat style you will have when you yourself are in conflict, it is NOT however, your ability to command or the strategies you use with troops, etc.

You concentrate on that inner pull of energy, it's astounding how clear it is after it was released on the former apprentice. The pull grows stronger and a vision of you standing at a distance, destroying your enemies form afar, and as they get close, demolishing them with the blade of a crimson light saber.

Without saying anything, you run to your dorm, your servants are passed out on the floor, used to sleeping on rocks, as you grab the dead boy's staff and an old blaster.

Without thinking, driven by some innate bloodlust, you wield the blaster, an older model, and drawing from your former experience you put the insane man out of his misery with a perfectly executed shot to the heart. The aim of your gun seemed to move with your will.

The master applaude dlightly, "I Didn't expect you to outright kill him, but alas is the need for combat." A sickening feeling grows in your gut, you killed him without a thought. The dark energy of this place drawing you to satiate the need for violence. Part of your mind whispers to resist the urge, another desperately pulls you towards it, locking you inbetween.

The first shot, as you continue to practice on the cadaver, seems to have been beginner's luck, your decent skills with the blaster augmented by new techniques taught by your master give you great accuracy, but still nothing as aggrandized as the first shot. Your master begins his usual lecturing, "You must harness your rage, your passion, your fear, force the blaster to follow, and it will, force your blade to strike its target, bend physics to your will." He strikes at you with his own light saber, you jump back, blocking it with the staff which electrifies brightly before being knocked out of your grip.

The training continues for hours on end. Seth and Celene seem to take the initiative with their roles as slaves, bringing food and drink to you and your Master as time wears on. Exhaustion takes root several times, but your master infuses you with his power, allowing you to continue. Your mind operates on instinct alone as more than 4 days pass without rest, yet you still operate at peak performance.

As a full week passes, you finally collapse into the arms of Seth, who drags you to your quarters at the Master's command.

You've gained a proficiency in force combat with ranged projectiles and sabers, heavier emphasis on the ranged portion.

(Will cont with the next set of decisions shortly)
>>
>>43830430
You settle into an odd rhythm in your new... home. If you could even call it that. Daily training and exercises forcing you to the brink of death or insanity, moral dillemas as you attempt to cause the least damage possible to your test subjects, but inevitably their bodies cannot sustain your growing power and they die, much to the delight of Gareth.

The glare of the bolt as you fire it from across the entire length of the atrium lights the room, before striking a withered husk of a man on the table, cleanly between the eyes. You mourn the man silently, a practice you've adopted to deal with the guilt, and the cavern begins to shake.

Gareth jumps from his table, the holocron rolling off onto the floor.

"The Door to Vader's tomb is open Apprentice, quickly quickly, gather yourself and come!" He grips his saber and heads to the exit. That passageway which changed your life permanently.

The red sands shift in the air around you, a deep breath of the dry air reminds you just how long it's been since you've been above ground. Gareth in a macabre display of joy is quickly prancing down the steps in his black robes, heading towards the now gaping entrance to the tomb of the Armored Monolith - Lord Vader as Gareth referred to him.

The tomb's history was very muddled from what Gareth had taught you, originally Darth Sideous' tomb had been the odestination for Vader's burial, but due to his 'loss to the light' Sideous ended up in the tomb first. Vader's darkside spirit manifested at his death, vacating the remains of a long unknown Sith and claiming it as his own, marking it as the resting place of Vader. What was to be found in the tomb was unknown, but Gareth laced great value in it.

You step up besides Gareth, gazing into the entrance of the ancient tomb. "My apprentice..." he begins "You must complete this on your own, truly solidifying you as a Sith Apprentice..." differing from his usual dark tone, he seemed, somber, almost reverent to the sight before him. "You will find a piece vital to the ritual binding us as Master and Apprentice, find it and return to me." Gareth turns, and walks toward the tomb of Sideous.

Seth taps you on the shoulder, making you jump in surprise. "Sir, I'd ask that I escort you, let me show my worth as your servant." It was odd behavior form Seth, you had nothing but respect for the child that saved you from insanity when first arriving, but he took to his role as a servant quite literally, acting to please you in any way he could.

"Come." You command him, clicking the light on your blaster to view in the darkness of the tomb. If Sideous' tomb was filled with dread, Vader's was filled with regret. Entering the stone walkway made you think back over every decision you've made, even thinking of sending Seth back. But you press on, the two of you taking solace in the friendly presence of the other. The architecture of this tomb was simple, smoothed walls and floors leading steadily downwards, no ornate decoration, no history in mural, just stone and a solemn sense of desperation.

The walk felt like miles of empty paths, turns and stairways twisting into an ever growing abyss, the stench of dust and stale air far worse than your Master's home.

A touch startles you, "What the hell Seth?!" You question, jumping slightly at the sudden touch.

"Sir, I did nothing, what's wrong?" He says nervously, fearing for your well-being.

"Nothing, move along." You order, the touch again happens, a whisper of a woman in your ear, the sound of a baby crying, all vague and distant, making you unable to tell if they are real or hallucinations.

The passageway ends, a doorway stands closed in front of you.

A.) Force the passage open.
B.) Use the force to open the door way.
C.) Explosives.
