Welcome to Saiyan Quest. This takes place shortly after the war against the Tuffles, as the Saiyans look for more foes to battle in the absence of their old enemies.

Voting will operate on a first to five system, at least for the time being.

Dialogue is allowed to be added to votes, as are actions (though I'll ignore what I consider shitposting)

During battles, options will usually have a number assigned to them. After that vote has won, players will roll a d100, and have three chances to match or beat that number.

If a 100 is rolled, it is considered a crit success (unless 100 was the number you had to match).

If a 1 is rolled, it is a crit failure, regardless of whether or not the other two rolls are high enough to succeed.

If, during a battle, players want to attempt a writein action, that is allowed, but I am the one who will assign the number to it, so use caution

You're a young male Saiyan who fought in the war with the Tuffles. You are an average fighter for now, but have the potential of one of the greatest warrior races to roam the universe flowing through your veins. There is no limit to what you can accomplish through blood, sweat, and tears.

Power Levels (as of the start of this thread)

>>
It's been two weeks since the planet surrendered itself to your control.

In that time, resistance movements quickly sprung up to oppose your new rule. Bardock and his crew insisted on being the ones to deal with them, and did so quite brutally. The death and destruction they caused has sent a clear message that any defiance is nothing more than a path to destruction.

Kamatsuna has provided you with a new scouter, and begun work on a second healing tank, which she is convinced will be of higher quality than the previous one. The planet has a good supply of fuel, which has been used to restock your ship for now. And, you've collected more than enough food and drink from the locals to keep everyone on your ship happy for a good while.

In the meantime, Rugula has taken to training those with Heran blood, just as you instructed. Many have died in the training, as Rugula's methods are decidedly intense, but those who have survived have already increased in power, with the strongest among them possessing a power level of nearly 700 now.

The issue of who to leave in charge when you depart has come up, with most of the Saiyans suggesting leaving a Heran in charge. However, the Heran students have made you aware of a resentment the common people have toward their kind, and suggest you leave a full-blooded Afhanian in charge.

"We'll have to decide sooner or later," Soko tells you. "What do you think?"

A couple of suggestions:
1. Kamatsuna needs mininions, so she can spend less time doing grunt work and more time doing R&D (I have a list of crazy projects.)
2. We have a bunch of attack balls, hand them to some lizards to do some scouting, so we have a selection of targets
3. While the Lizards are scouting, we can beat on the other saiyans until everyone has at least 1.2k PL.

You tell Soko that you want a part-Heran left in charge when you leave.

"Alright, I'll tell Rugula to choose one of her charges to leave behind," Soko tells you. "Now, on to Kamatsuna-"

"The engineers on this planet aren't the best," Kamatsuna tells you. "But they grasp the basics and are able to follow instructions and designs. I'd like to take a few of them with me to help with tech. It should make things go a little faster."

You tell her that she can choose some natives to bring with her, and let everyone know that, if they attempt sabotage, their home cities will be destroyed.

"Works for me," Kamatsuna says. "I think three should be enough. I'll go round up a few."

She leaves the bridge, leaving you alone with Soko, Azu, Sabi, and Alpha.

"Besides the Herans, the people here aren't good fighters," Sabi tells you.

"And their tech isn't very useful besides for parts," Azu adds. "Their planet does have some resources we can use for fuel, but otherwise there isn't much here worth keeping."

"These people are so weak," Alpha tells you. "My people want a real challenge."

"Between the lack of resources and the lack of strong fighters, I doubt this place would make a very good capitol world," Soko tells you. "We should probably go find some other planets soon."

"I'll go," Azu tells you. "I think Kamatsuna said that right now only three of the pods are ready for flight, so whoever else wants to go had better pick a pod now."

"I'll take one," Soko tells you.

You leave the bridge and decide to go see what Bardock and his crew are up to.

Using your scouter, you quickly locate them not far from the ship, and make your way there slowly. You spot them from the ship's ramp, engaged in a fierce training session.

Gine is absent, but Bardock, Toma, Seripa, and Totapo are all fighting one another fiercely.

Bardock is by far the strongest of them, and so he seems to be taking on all three of them at once. With their combined powers, they're giving Bardock a challenge, as they coordinate their efforts to attack him.

Totapo, the largest of the group, attacks Bardock head-on, getting quickly knocked back by the more powerful Saiyan. Toma fires an energy blast that Bardock easy deflects, and Seripa attacks him from behind, managing to land a kick to the back of his head that sends him staggering.

Toma takes advantage, and blasts him in the face before Totapo rushes in and knocks him over with a shoulder-charge.

Bardock picks himself back up and flies high above his teammates, who fly up after him and fire a barrage of energy attacks. He manages to deflect several, but there are too many, and soon he is struck by their combined volley of attacks.

Toma rushes up, punching Bardock in the face before being kicked in the head and sent flying away. Bardock then fires down an energy blast that knocks Seripa out of the sky before charging down at Totapo and sending him crashing to ground with a powerful punch.

You open the match with a barrage of energy attacks, scattering them among the teammates but mainly focusing on Bardock.

The four fighters move with impressive speed and manage to evade your attacks, spreading out and firing a few of their own. Their own attacks strike yours, causing explosions and creating clouds of smoke that make it difficult to track them, even with your scouter.

Totapo comes charging out of the smoke, and you ready yourself to face him, only to be blasted from behind by Bardock, Seripa, and Toma. With their powers combined, they actually do manage to hurt you a bit with their attacks, and put you off-balance enough for Totapo to land a punch to your face.

You recover quickly and kick him back into the smoke before turning on Bardock and his crew just in time to see three energy attacks racing toward you.

Bardock, Seripa, and Toma, who were charging right at you, come up short, clearly not having expected you to knock away their attacks.

Totapo charges you from behind, knocking you off-balance and leaving you vulnerable. Seripa rushes forward and kicks you as you fall, throwing you into the sky.

You fire a barrage of energy blasts down at your charging foes.

They do their best to evade you, but you manage to knock both Seripa and Totapo out of the sky. Bardock, on the other hand, fires a blast to intercept one of yours, creating a cloud of smoke between the two of you.

A blast comes flying from it, and you swat it aside before noticing Toma firing one up at you as well. You knock it away and fire a blast that knocks Toma down to the ground, then see Bardock shoots out of the smoke, quickly rising above you and preparing a double-axe handle.

The blasts intercept, exploding into a cloud of smoke which you dive right into. You come out the other side, and are immediately blasted on your left side by Toma. As you whirl on him, Bardock comes up from behind, smashing you on the back of the head with a double-axe handle.

You see stars and fall forward, quickly losing altitude as you plummet toward the ground. Landing in a crouch, you spring back into the air, charging up toward your foes, who fire energy waves down at you.

You dive between the blasts and keep rising, deflecting a blast Toma fires down at you and giving him a strong uppercut to the jaw.

Bardock blasts you from the side, and Toma, displaying great endurance, recovers, punching you in the face. As you move to punch him, Bardock slams into you from the side, pushing you away from Toma and further disorienting you.

"Now!" Bardock shouts as he and Toma fire balls of energy at you.

You fire blasts to intercept the ones heading for you, but Bardock and Toma keep firing more.

You destroy every blast they send your way with one of your own, yet they persist in firing energy blasts at you. So, you continue to destroy them with your own, wondering why exactly they're continuing with something that doesn't work.

That's when you hear Seripa scream.

Cursing, you look over to see the Saiyan woman unleash a colossal wave of energy at you, one that shoots through the sky at incredible speed and closes in rapidly.

You get a crazy idea, and attempt to move faster by putting your energy into your feet and accelerating your body faster than it could normally go.

However you're unable to successfully perform this new move in the brief moments you have, and instead are caught full-force by Seripa's blast without defending yourself.

The attack hits harder than anything you would have expected from the woman. whose power level is barely over 900. But, with all the time she took gathering energy, it packs a punch, and you find yourself in great pain from it.

You're pushed back by the power of this move, and feel your skin begin to burn and see smoke begin to rise from your armor.

As the attack ends, you need a moment to catch your breath, and find yourself hissing in pain from the burns the attack left on your skin.

Seripa's a bit worse off, however, as the attack seems to have taken just about everything she had. She falls from the sky, crashing to the ground. You watch her struggle for a moment to pick herself up, but only manages to get on one knee.

Bardock and Toma don't waste any time in attacking you, but it's only two on one now, and while that attack hurt, you can definitely keep fighting.

You attempt the same thing you tried with Seripa, having a few more seconds this time.

To your frustration, you're unable to achieve the speedy movement you'd hoped for, but you are able to push a good deal of your energy into your right leg.

This gives you an idea, and you wait for Toma and Bardock to close in.

Toma's in the lead, and as he draws closer, you pull your leg back. You see Bardock's eyes go wide.

"Toma, look out!" he shouts, pushing his teammate out of the way as you kick.

Your attack catches Bardock right in the gut, and his arms and legs both shoot forward, though his body remains still. His eyes go blank, and his mouth opens, blood shooting from it.

He falls off of your fist, and his limp body drops toward the ground.

"Bardock!" Toma shouts, rushing down and catching his leader.

Toma slowly lowers to the ground, holding Bardock and looking down at him.

"He needs a healing tank, now!" he shouts before rushing toward the ship.

I feel like sparring will get the same result faster, if we persist. Training to get a move could take weeks. So, it's a matter of risk for time
>>
>>43860569
There is some truth to this. You can learn things more quickly in a stressful situation, but failed attempts can be extremely costly. On the other side, practicing on your own holds less risk, but results will likely take time.

You drop to the ground and walk over to Seripa, helping her to her feet and letting her lean on you as you approach Totapo, who seems to have been knocked unconscious.

You pick him up, and the three of you make your way inside the ship, heading straight for the healing station, where Bardock has already been loaded into a tank.

You notice a second tank beside it, but it doesn't look like its ready just yet. Kamatsuna's engineers are working fast at fixing it up, but you figure it will be at least another day.

"It's a good thing you got him to me quickly," Kamatsuna tells Toma. "Even another minute, and this tank might not have been able to save him. As it is, it might take two days for him to fully recover."

Toma lets out a relieved sigh. "Well, at least he'll get better."

He turns toward you, frowning, but not really saying anything. He's not pleased about what happened, clearly, but you also get the sense he knows it was an accident, and can't really blame you for it too much. After all, him and his team weren't pulling any punches.

"I'll get Totapo to a bed for now," he says, holding out his hands.

You hand over Totapo, and he leaves the room without another word.

You help Seripa back to her room, helping her get into bed then leaving her to rest. Clearly, she's exhausted, and you're feeling pretty tired yourself.

This actually might work. Tell them we're refugees from Frieza, that we landed here but the people are super paranoid about aliens ever since the Herans or some shit and they nuked us.
We've had to defend ourselves, but even though we've come to accords with some of the natives a group still thinks we're the Herans reborn or some shit and keeps trying to attack us.

You tell Rugula that you and her will go to deal with the patrolman together, but you want to try talking to him before you do anything else.

Rugula sighs in annoyance, but doesn't say anything else.

The two of you take off and use your scouters to track the newcomer, finding him in a far-off city. You spot a small one-person vehicle surrounded by Afhanians

In front of that vehicle is an alien in some kind of metal armor that covers his shoulders, midsection, legs, feet, arms, neck, and the back of his head, leaving only his face and the top of his head exposed.

He has red skin, sharp teeth, yellow eyes, and a tiny nose.

Some people below begin to scream when they see you and Rugula, and quickly flee into their homes. The alien scowls up at you, and you land in front of him, with Rugula landing at your six a second later.

"So, you're the Saiyans I got a call about?" the alien asks in a gruff voice. "You do know invading a planet is against galactic law, right? I'm going to have to place you both under arrest."

Rugula chuckles.

The patrolman smirks. "Funny. But no, I'm going to take you into custody, then the people of this world can run things how they see fit."

"So much for negotiating," Rugula comments, dropping into a fighting stance.

"In the name of the Galactic Patrol, you are both under arrest!" the alien declares, drawing some small blaster from his hip. "Put your hands up, or I will be forced to discharge my weapon!"

You slowly begin to raise your hands above your head.

"Daikon, what are you doing?" Rugula demands.

The patrolman smiles, then frowns as he turns his blaster on Rugula. "You, too, nice and easy, ma'am."

Before Rugula has time to attack or retort, you fire some energy from your palm, striking the blaster and disintegrating it while also causing the patrolman to stumble back and fall against his ship.

Rugula laughs, firing a blast into the patrolman's chest as he starts to stand up, once again causing him to fall against his ship.

The patrolman hunches over, hands at the top of his legs as he shakes his head.

"This is the best the Galactic Patrol can do?" Rugula asks in surprise.

"Not even close," the patrolman tells her before throwing a tiny sphere in her direction.

It opens up into a large net made of electricity that quickly covers Rugula and begins shocking her.

As Rugula collapses to the ground, yelling in pain, the patrolman throws one in your direction.

You let out a yell, sending out your energy in all directions as a gust of wind rather than a blast.

The force of your energy causes the sphere to switch directions, heading toward the patrolman before opening and encasing him in an electric net. The patrolman screams as he's caught in his own trap, and falls to his knees, his metal suit making his agony far worse as he writhes in pain.

You look over to see that Rugula is no longer under the net, which now sits atop a hole in the ground. A few seconds later, she emerges from beneath the surface, scowling at the patrolman.

"So, what should we do with him?" she asks.

You search his ship for anything of value, finding a few odd devices but not much else. You then blast him out of the net and take his clothes and possessions, leaving him naked on the ground.

However, the area to the North of Frieza's territory is very small, and he'll probably expand there before too long. We could go to the South and cut through the territory of some people called Cooler and King Cold. It would take two years, but we'd have plenty of room to expand and Frieza may never reach that place."
