>CURRENT LOCATION:
TELEMATHA // UNDERGROUND // AQUACADENS CITY // THE ACADEMY
>>
You were now a gladiator of the city of Aquacadens, it was true that you were fresh blood and that your only victory didn’t proved much but still your past actions and legendarium boosted those acts and made you have a greater regard among the fellow Telemathans.

Once the armored limousine that was transporting you all reached the interior of the Institute you all entered solemnly. The already existing members of the Coven reunited in the main hall while you were dismissed in a somewhat rude manner and asked to rest in one of the upper rooms while they debated if you had to be included or not.

The Coven was a select group of Magii that had studied in the Academy you are at right now. This teaching school seems to be pretty select when it comes to choosing students and thus the Coven were only made from the elite of the elite. You were an intruder, an outcast. Even if you had been born on Telematha you weren’t taught in this Schola and thus they are pretty reticent of accepting you, even if doing so would mean a great boost of resources and contacts.

You disliked them, they were rude and completely ignorant and out of touch with how crude reality was. They had always been surrounded by a bubble of protection; this made them feel both superior due to their status as Magos and also completely untouchable. There were two Magii among those that you despised most, those were Magos Artisan Hellenica and Magos Biologis Axsiselios, the ones who apparently created and installed the Soul generating chip that was deeply lodged into your grey matter. Those two were married and the sum of their combined intellects spawned a diabolical entity that could trigger a daemon and chaos filled apocalypse at any time.

Sluggishly you ascended the stairs and entered inside the first empty room that you saw. You ignored all the blueprints, scrolls, books and notes and simply fell on the bed, who cracked under your heavy weight and wasn’t big enough to completely accommodate your big frame. Honestly, you were tired, you didn’t had any time to rest since you had returned to your world and your stamina levels were now reaching pretty low levels. Maybe you could sleep for a while.

What will you do?
> Tap into the system and try to hack your way into the cameras and the microphones of the building. Try to spy on their conversation.

> Contact your personnel; see if they have made any new discovery around the city.

As you lie on the uncomfortable mattress you contact with your men once again. Those people were warriors, not spies and thus their mission wasn't what they had trained for, any advance on the matter would be very slow but still it was all you could do. There was some dark and strange force or thing happening around you and you had little to now clues about it, anything no matter how small it is might be helpful. It hasn't been a long time since the last time you had spoken to them but maybe now they had found something interesting.

The first one you contact is the pilot Campiní, a woman who knows how to drive any vehicle capable of flying and seems to be able to open locks and steal any kind of secured vehicle.

"Campiní, do you hear me?"

"I do boss! Great combat down there!"

"You saw it?"

"Indeed! There were several vehicles that were observing, it seems that usually those onlookers are deprived of their show by using an opaque energy shield but in this occasion they had turned it off. They sure wanted to show everybody what you were able of."

"And what if there was some sniper or any other attacker that wanted to kill me from above?"

"Doubtful, there were so many onlookers that anyone who dared to do so would be caught shortly after. And with the great religious fervor that they seem to have about you in there such perpetrator would be surely given the harshest of the punishments."

"Let's not stray of the topic. Is there anything you have discovered?"

"I have witnessed a couple of drug smuggling and several stabbings, specially in the slums but nothing that truly ticked me off. All those things can be seen in any big city after all."

"Keep me informed if anything happens."

"Roger Roger."
>>
>>43871520

After that you looked at the frequencies and tried to contact with Georgius, to no effort. Georgius was the commander of the Electro-Priests, a small yet strong man that somehow managed to conserve his magnificent brown beard even after having a constant stream of fire inducing electricity running on every one of his cells. Considering how warring he is he was surely either completely excited about your victory and was either completely drunken or fighting some peeps that gave him an stinky eye. Regardless of his motive he didn't answered.

With a sigh you called to Nathaniella, the trainer and commander of your Skitarii forces.

"Nathaniella? Do you copy?"

"̨̢̕I͏ ̸h̵e͘aŗ͝ ý͠où̴̡ w̢͝i̵̢t́́͏h̡́ a̸ ̷gr̶͘͡e͝͏a͏ţ́ ̶̸d̸͜i̛s̨͢ţ̴o̶͢r̡͝t̡͘í̢ò͢n͡!̛ Ì ̀͜a̸̷ḿ d͏e͟s̛͡c̴̶̕ę̸n̴͟ḑ̵i͢͞͝n͟g ̷̕͞so̷̡͞ḿ̕è̛ ͘͝ţu̷͡͡ń͘n͟e̸l̴͢ş ̧͢a̷͢͡n̢͝d̷́ exṕ̡l̛̀o̴r͏̶i̶̕͢n̨g̵҉͞ ̛͟ǫ̀ǹ̵ m̀͠y͢ ̛͜ơ͘͜w̢̡͡n͜,͜ ̶́i̶̧͞t͘͢ ͡s̶̛ee͜m̛s t̶́̕h̴̸a̸̡͘t̸̸͝ ̶̵ţ̵h͘͡e͘͝͝ ̵͟e͠͞l͜͡e̶̡͟c̨͡ţr͘͜o̢̢m͢agn̶͘͟e͞t̢͟ic̸̨͠ ̀w̛͝av̡͟e҉͝ś̸̛ ̵͟h͠a҉̸̀v͏̢e͡ ͏tr͡o̡͡u̸͟b̕l̛ȩ̷̀ ̧̢͟to̕ ͏̴r̷͜ea͢͏c̸h̡͘ t̷̵h̵̢ȩ͘r̷e̕͜͠.̷̢.͢.҉̷"̢

A great screech of static white noise blasted over the vox-caster and made your entire spine chill. There were only a few understandable fragments on his message, the rest was pure undesirable noise. You prayed for her safety and sent her a text message about not straying of very far away.

Finally came Walthari, the odd man that seemed to find himself more comfortable around servitors. You didn't disliked him per se but that person made you feel nervous...in fact you had some sympathy for him, he reminds you of your younger self when you were a complete pariah and on top of that awkward around most of the people.
>>
>>43871530

"Walthari, do you copy?"

"Yes."

"Good, is there anything that you have discovered?"

"Yes."

"...What is it?"

"There are some strange square surfaces on several points of the city. They are completely black and are at ground level, making them very hard to be noticed and seen as they might look like normal tiles. They are spread on pairs and separated by a distance of approximately five feet. My sensors cannot study them, it is as if they didn't existed but I know they aren't an hallucination. I have questioned my servitors and even an outsider. The servitors have answered with a positive answer while the outsider lied about their existence, saying that he couldn't see them, I know he lied because he ended scared by the presence of my Servitor retinue and cowardly tried to escape, on its way it avoided touching the black surface as if it were plague ridden. Result...Inconclusive, more study needed."

"T-thanks, good work."
>>
>>43871540

Black squares? Maybe they were a hint, maybe they didn't meant anything at all. You should try to find some of those to discover it on your own...Suddenly a rumble broke your chain of thoughts, you got up and looked by a window and saw that the outside dome of energy flickered for a second, then there was a distant explosion and an even bigger rumble. The entire Academy got on a sealing lockdown and all the windows and doors started to close and get covered by huge slabs of metal that turned the entire building into a fortress. The explosions came from below, you ran towards the stairs but found that they had been sealed, in case of emergency the safety of the students was primordial after all. You looked back for an instant and saw several youngling techpriests with a mix of fear and confusion on their faces, they all looked at you as if you were the answer to their questions, you were the oldest and a great hero after all.

> Ignore the kids, try to breach into the lower floors.

You looked at all those kinds and luckily discovered that they were unharmed, they were mostly confused and sleep deprived but overall healthy. With an oral order you sent the smallest and weakest ones back to their slumber and questioned the remaining ones about what was going on.

"I am a guest in this Academy, can anybody tell me what's going on?"

"We are now under the protective protocol. Something has happened, either natural or provoked that has activated the protocol and turned the entire school into a safe bunker." Answered a tall female whose head was completely covered in bionic eyes and lenses.

"Natural or Provoked?" You ask them.

"Yes, it isn't the first time it has happened, small to mid earthquakes aren't so uncommon after all."

"But..." Said another student, a teenager that had a flamer and apparently had some accident with it, as most of his body was covered in bandages. "Earthquakes usually have two or tree continuous tremors and then stop. This has been only a couple of them followed by some explosions, I bet my heart that if we stick our ears to the floor we will be able to hear gunshots and other kind of battle. This ins't an earthquake, but an attack!"

All the students started to mutter and soon a few ones started to place their auditive organs on the cold floor for better hearing. You had an improved ear and so you did too. The flamer student was right, the high ceiling and poor transportation of energy that the air carries made the sounds of below be near inaudible but now that you were closer to the source it became much clearer. The sound of clashing weapons and crude low powered pistols could be heard.

"Is there any way of opening those doors?"

"Y-yes!" Answers a chubby girl with a strange bionic mandible that made her look like a frog with braces. "The system is connected to a seismograph, the moment the quakes and replicas are over the doors open."

"This isn't an earthquake thought, If this has been an intended action then the doors require manual opening. Something which can only be done on the control room below." Answered the flamer guy, who seemed to know quite a bit about the Academy.

"And what if the attackers get to the control room!? We will be exposed!" Yelled the girl covered in bionic eyes and which the location of her mouth still remained a mystery.

"Don't be so imbecile, the opening is locked by a password that only the Magii know. That way only them can make use of it, in case the attackers made their way to the control room their efforts would be moot. Sooner or later someone would come and rescue us."

It seemed that an arguing was slowly brewing among those hormone driven students. You better act now before any of them makes something overly stupid.

> Try to contact with the Magii below, ask them to unlock the doors so you can descend and see what's going in.

"Stop whining. You all are the best minds that humanity can offer. People have problems during their lives and they can hardly manage to solve them but you all? You guys are addicts to those problems and actively seek solving them. No matter what kind of problem it is, be one of logistic problem full of mathematical equations or the one we are facing now."

You stand by the door as if you were a guard, a symbol that they cannot cross.

"You will now think of a way of solving this problem, for you are the few chosen ones that are best suited to do so."

Good, you have given them an objective, this will make them focus more on what you have ordered and they will end forgetting the demons that trouble them. Meanwhile you will try to tap onto the network system and check if you can see or hear them."

> Try to contact with the Magii below, ask them to unlock the doors so you can descend and see what's going in.

You return to the same room that you had entered in and connect to a wall terminal to see if you can tap on their systems. Luckily for you since you have entered from inside they are unprotected and thus you don't need to waste any time on bypassing firewalls or trying to crack passwords.

Most of the cameras of the lower level are broken or don't show anything interesting at all but then one catches your attention. It shows a couple of Omega Drills, the same model that you drove back in Plinia Vesus. They have breached from underground, surely the attackers came from below and used these to do so, it also explained why was it detected as an earthquake of some sort.

After looking across the cameras you manage to find a female Magii hiding behind a desk floor. It breathes pretty quickly but seems to responsive enough. Without his name or direction you cannot message her directly.
>>
>>43872520

"Do any of you know who this Magos is?" You say as you start printing the image with a painfully slow printer-

After it has been finally printed and shared one agrees.

"Yes...its Lanna, my mother."

You grab that kid by the arm and force him to look at you.

"I need her name...NOW!"

Tears for on the eyes of the kid and he stutters until he manages to spit the name. You type all the runes that conform her name and search her on the database to find her contact name. Once done you send her a message.

"Lanna, I'm Heracor Nahive, I am on the residential floor with the rest of the kids, including your son. I need you to open the door that seals this floor from the rest for a little bit so I can go down and see what's happening."

With her kid on your lap you looked at the screen to see how she reacted to the camera, a small group of other curious students formed too around you two.

At first her mother looked at the blinking communicator with despair and fear as she thought that it would reveal her position but after putting it on silence and looking that it was a message from you and her son then she decided to answer.

"But...what if the Nox Vox enter inside? I cannot risk the life of my small project, Niko is my best creation so far!"

The small kid smiled when he read that message and nodded, as if he were both proud of himself and his mother.

You now had to convince a mother of endangering the lives of his son and her's to give you the chance of participating in the combat. This wouldn't be easy.

"Listen to me Lanna. I have fought the enemy within, the enemy without and even enemies from beyond. Those warriors are nothing for me. The Omnissiah's light illuminates my path and guides my aim, it's fire has tempered my weapon and crafted my body. Trust me Lanna, open it for only thirty seconds, that will assure the survival of your son."

She seemed to doubt and then started to cry, maybe in fear, maybe in shame because her own cowardice. Whatever the reason was she managed to surpass and move away from her hiding spot. You didn't knew what her specialty was but it was obviously nothing combat oriented, she seemed weak and didn't seem to have any knowledge about sneaking.

As she moved you tried to follow her movements by using the several cameras around but as most of them had been battle damaged tracking her proved to be way more difficult than you expected. At the end she managed to reach the control room and entered, then she logged onto the computer and ordered to the system to open your door, if only for thirty seconds. Her success made her squeak in excitation and yell loudly, something that proved fatal as a nearby warrior heard her and ruthlessly placed a bullet on her brain, covering the feed that you and her son were watching with crimson dots. The son was obviously traumatized by the event but there was nothing you could do, the door was now opening and would soon close again.

You tried to stand up but noticed that the kid that was on your lap was now completely tight around your body, hugging you and frozen out of pure shock and fear. You didn't liked the action that you did afterwards but you had no option but to punch him softly on the stomach and force him to lie on the floor, alone. Trying to remove him by softer means would have been simply way too slow.

Violently pushing other students away you ran towards the door and noticed how the time that she had calculated was maybe too little. As there were still some feet until your destination the door started to descend and seal again. Not having any other option you jumped and extended your wings while activating the jets on your back at maximum potency. Since you had three wings they were set on different heights when you flew horizontally and thus the students that were between the door and you had little to no way of avoiding collision.

On your path you brought down several students that painfully hit their heads against the cold and hard floor or hard their arms and shoulders dislocated in the worst cases. Still, it was all worth it, as you barely managed to reach the other side before the door completely sealed. Oddly, whereas the stairwell used to be there was now an orange and faint tornado that carried withing some strange sparks.

The now deceased Lanna mentioned something about the Nox Vox, it seemed to be the attacking group that has done this attack. It doesn't takes long until you meet one of their members, just as you are descending the stairs you meet a group of men that have makeshift armor made from scrap steel and mining equipment and carry slug weapons and powder charges.

"It's him! The angel of death! Shoot, shoot shoot!"

> Use your flamer dendrite with their gunpowder charges. Turn their weapons into traps.

You backed up and pressed yourself against the sealed door while at the same time extending your flamer dendrite and showering them with a chemical flame that painfully coated their bodies and heated them to the point of making their own blood and fat boil. Even after that they tried to aim their weapons at you but it was of no effort, soon the flames reached the gunpowder and they sooner or later exploded, sending several limbs flying away and covering you with a thick layer of blood and other human fluids.

Those warriors were weak, surely they had manage to create so many damage by sheer numbers and the advantage of surprise. Your own Skitarii could easily defeat those people as they were better armored and equipped, still, the energy shield that domes this Academy is still active, you cannot make them enter.

You don't know what exactly that orange tornado is nor why or how it formed but it seems dangerous and thus you avoid it as you descend. Once in there you open the door to find a massacre. Several dead Magii lie in all directions, their secrets lost with their deaths, along with them there are also many dead warriors, inexperienced and ignorant people that were given crude weapons to fight in a battle that they couldn't win.

> Try to find a surviving warrior and interrogate it.

Slowly you advance across the corridors and rooms in the search of enemies and anybody that might be a good interrogee. It seems that the combat has been in favor of the Magii who had used some hidden laser turrets to fend off the attackers.

After a quick search you manage to find a warrior who is dragging herself into safety and has a rebar fragment stuck on its left thigh, apparently from a faulty explosive trap. You walk towards her and grab her by her dirty black hair, and painfully lift her in the air.

"Speak."

"Wasdhh!! Y-you are the Angel of Death! Why speak when I am already dead?"

"Because I can make your assured death into a quick and painless experience or a excruciatingly long and tortuous one..."

"The Nox Vox exists to end you Angel! You are our reason to be!"

With one hand you grabbed her from the hair and maintained her above ground, with the other you hold the rebar and started to move it in different angles, damaging her muscles and fracturing her tendons. She screamed but you activated the Noise Dampener, you don't want any noisy people to interrupt your torture after all.

"What is the Nox Vox?" You ask after you are done with the torture and you have deactivated your Noise Dampener.

"We are the truth-holders, the reason behind the lies. Your life is a lie and you will trigger a catastrophe that will doom not only this world, but also many others. You and the Coven are death..."
>>
>>43874494

She was valiant, valiantly stupid. Once again you twisted her leg over and over until her knee muscle became fragmented and her limb started to twist in impossible angles. Once again she wanted to scream but she had no mouth.

"Why the attack? What's your motive?"

"We kill death, we win at the impossible game...check, mate."

You had enough, with her leg so damaged you had bent her will more than enough, any more torture and she will simply fall into unconsciousness. If she cannot work as a interrogate she will have to do as a test subject.

> Study the Orange Tornado

Once more you drag her by pulling from her hair, her head is now profusely bleeding from your mere pulling and there are some small patches that are now devoid of hair. She is somewhat unconscious but she completely awakens when she notices the destiny that awaits her.

"NO! NOT THERE! I HAVE SEEN WHAT IT DOES! WHAT IT DID TO MY FRIENDS! IT IS THE DEATH BREATH, THE ORANGE TIME END!"
>>
>>43874513

Tired of her nonsense you threw her lithe body at the interior of the tornado and saw how the currents of the wind were small yet potent enough to maintain her steadily floating in front of you. Slowly she started to change, wrinkles appeared on her skin and somehow all her wounds healed, then she became thinner and thinner until she turned gray and soon all her cells started dissolving until she was nothing but a skeleton that soon after that also became dust. Whatever happened was out of your comprehension but it just made one thing clear, you had to stay away from it.

After that you returned and started exploring it seemed that you were late, maybe too late. The laser turrets along with several combat servitors and the few combat capable Magii have been able to repell all the enemy forces, they few remaining survivors have left in one of the two Omega Drills and collapsed the tunnel afterwards.

An emergency meeting is organized and you are included on it. In the same hall that you had meet all the Magos you find yourself once again, this time there are way less people but still, Hellenica and Axsiselios are still in there. You feel somewhat conflicted, one part of you says that its a shame that they didn't died in the attack, the other screams that it is positive as it gives you the chance of doing it yourself.

"We have to retaliate, fight back! Hellenica, Axsiselios and you should go down the hole and hunt them along with half of our combat servitors!"

> Decline. They haven't made you a member yet, stay away from their affairs.
> Ask them to let your men enter. Take one of the Omega Drills and go on your own.

"Why should I join? I am a stranger, a foreigner I cannot partake on your affairs. Am I to assume I am formerly allowed into the coven then? Because if not, this is none of my concern, and I will simply observe."

They all gave you a look of disgust, but then some of them smiled, or did the closest thing they could to smile, be it a happy electronic beep or a thumbs up. Those Magii were kind of disgusted of having an outsider like you inside their elitist circle but at the same time they liked the fact that you had taken advantage of them during their weakest moment, for being a ravager scavenger is what a Magos does best.

"Raise thy hand, dendrite or other appendage thy ones that accept Heracor as a member of this our Coven."

Slowly one by one they all raised their hands, with Hellenica and Axsiselios as the last ones doing so, there was even a small uncomfortable moment until they opted to raise their hands.

"It is chosen then. You are now a member of our Coven. We will move the abandoned Drill and along with them two you will descend into the underlevels."

"It isn't necessary doing so, I know how to drive such vehicle."

"You do? Wonderful! Remember to share such knowledge among us!"

Not long after that you were on the mining vehicle turning it on and shooting its machine spirits which had been mistreated for long and repaired with jury rigging techniques. Shortly after that came the married couple along with two Combat Servitors that had been fitted with Heavy Bolters.

Standing so close to such secretly hatred enemies made you incredibly nervous and anxious, even their smell was something that made you despise them. Using all your mental strength you managed to ignore them and dive the drill into the same tunnels that the original attackers had used to enter.

Driving an Omega Drill made you feel nostalgic. What once seemed like a massive machine now it looked way smaller, surely because you had increased in size and the comparison between you two was now smaller. All round you there was the sound of grinding rock and crossing water, there were so many underground pocket bodies that it was near impossible to dig without finding one, luckily for you the Melta effect of the drill instantly gassified and turned those water streams into hot steam. After about an hour of driving the tunnel became more and more horizontal until it reached an underground cavern. As the vehicle advanced more and more torches started to light around you two, your presence was known.

"It is Death itself that has come in its stolen carriage and it is here and now to stole our lives too! Well Mr.Death, I am here to meetcha" Said a girl from on top of what seemed to be an abandoned forge or fabricatorium. Whoever she was it seemed to be a leader of some kind.

Slowly more and more people appeared all around, thousands of warriors that wore crude weapons and armor.

> Use your Drill to run over as many people as you can. This will kill many of them but they will surely end overpowering your vehicle sooner or later.
> Deploy your warriors now. Your firepower is superior, with enough caution you will be able to defeat all those madmen.
> Us the drill to drive under them and break the floor, destroy everything, destroy everybody.
> Seems like the girl that has greeted you might be spoken. Try to convince them to wait on the Drill while you speak to her.
