Location: Unknown Planet

Information: Daikon and his forces have wiped out most of the opposing army, but with heavy casualties, including Alpha. After an intense battle against Commander Fesla's top men, Daikon has lost most of his energy, and suffered minor injuries. The timely recovery of Bardock and Totapo allowed them to turn the tide until Fesla himself stepped in. Now, with Seripa, Rugula, and Totapo all out of the fight, things look grim for the Saiyans
>>
Welcome to Saiyan Quest. This takes place shortly after the war against the Tuffles, as the Saiyans look for more foes to battle in the absence of their old enemies.

Voting will operate on a first to five system, at least for the time being.

Dialogue is allowed to be added to votes, as are actions (though I'll ignore what I consider shitposting)

During battles, options will usually have a number assigned to them. After that vote has won, players will roll a d100, and have three chances to match or beat that number.

If a 100 is rolled, it is considered a crit success (unless 100 was the number you had to match).

If a 1 is rolled, it is a crit failure, regardless of whether or not the other two rolls are high enough to succeed.

If, during a battle, players want to attempt a writein action, that is allowed, but I am the one who will assign the number to it, so use caution

You're a young male Saiyan who fought in the war with the Tuffles. You are an average fighter for now, but have the potential of one of the greatest warrior races to roam the universe flowing through your veins. There is no limit to what you can accomplish through blood, sweat, and tears.

Power Levels (as of the start of this thread)

>>
You decide to save Seripa, and Kamatsuna opens Sabi's pod.

Sabi's eyes slowly open, and he looks around in confusion. "W-what the hell happened?"

"No time to talk," Kamatsuna says, taking Seripa, stripping her down, and putting her in the healing tank.

As Sabi puts on some armor and a scouter Kamatsuna made for him, you give him a somewhat confused look. Kamatsuna said he hasn't fully recovered, but his power level is over two thousand.

He looks at Seripa and Totapo, looking somewhat anxious. "What's going on?"

Kamatsuna explains the situation as best she can, and you see Sabi growing more and more angry by the moment.

"I'll rip this bastard apart!" he shout, rushing down the hall and toward the battle.

"You need to recover!" Kamatsuna calls after him before letting out a resigned sigh.

She looks over at you. "I don't need to tell you that he isn't fully recovered, and that the three of them won't be able to stop this enemy alone."

You're tired and wounded, you've lost two valuable warriors, and two more are in critical condition. You can guess that the battle outside isn't going well, either.

This may be your last stand, and the last stand of your entire force.

But you'll be damned if you go down without a fight.

Taking a deep breath and preparing yourself mentally, you rush out after Sabi, ready to see this thing through.

Bardock and Toma are losing, badly. You can see the two coordinating their attacks and fighting with everything they have, but Fesla is simply too strong for them.

Sabi rushes up behind the Commander, slamming his foot into the back of Fesla's head and knocking him forward, giving Bardock the chance to use a double-axe handle and send the commander plummeting toward the ground.

Toma fires a barrage of energy blasts down, striking Fesla as he falls.

I would have agreed to that idea in the beginning of the fight when there was a lot of enemy mooks running around that we could redirect our rage onto. If we use it now with only the commander left we'd no doubt end up killing a few members of our own team.

You open your mouth, unleashing a wave of energy that shoots up toward commander Fesla, catching him entirely off-guard and striking him at full force.

There's an explosion, and you see Fesla falling from the cloud of smoke, striking the ground hard.

Bardock, Toma, and Sabi rain energy blasts down on the commander, kicking up a ton of smoke and making the ground shake with every strike.

The smoke begins to clear, and you see Fesla lying on the ground, not moving for a few seconds. But, you see him begin to push himself back up, scowling first at you, then at the three airborne Saiyans.

"I'll admit, that hurt," he comments. "But you still don't have a chance in hell at beating me. You Saiyans may think you're powerful, but you don't have any idea what real power is."

You drop into a defensive stance, readying yourself for Fesla's counter-attack.

His eyes linger on you for a moment before shifting to the three Saiyans above him. He keeps his eyes locked on them, but holds his palm in your direction, gathering energy.

He unleashes a blast, and as you scramble out of the way, he races up toward the others. Sabi stupidly tried to meet his charge, and receives a blast to the gut for his efforts.

Sabi is thrown upward by the blast, and Toma and Bardock split to avoid being hit, rushing down toward Fesla from both sides. Bardock closes in first, throwing a kick that Fesla easily blocks as Toma shifts behind the commander and strikes at the back of his head.

Fesla angrily slams his head back catching Toma in the nose, and Bardock retaliates by blasting him in the face. Fesla grabs Bardock by the throat, and Toma fires a series of energy blasts.

Fesla fires a wave that cuts through them and knocks Toma from the sky.

You see Bardock struggle against the grip of his more powerful foe, first attempting a knee-strike that Fesla blocks with his own knee, applying more pressure to Bardock's throat.

Bardock pulls his right arm back and throws a punch, only for Fesla to catch it and break Bardock's wrist with a quick twist.

You gather energy, holding your hands up toward Fesla and focusing, creating a ball of light in front of your palms that continues to grow.

Bardock lets out a choked sound of distress, vainly attempting to fight his way out of his foe's grip.

You feel your anger boiling as you let out a yell, unleashing a colossal wave of energy that shoots up toward your foe. The light is near-blinding, and soon grabs Fesla's attention.

His eyes widen, and Bardock takes advantage, using his good hand to fire an energy blast into Fesla's face. The attack knocks the commander off-balance, and allows Bardock to escape.

Your blast closes in, striking Fesla with enough force that the shockwaves send Bardock tumbling out of the sky. You see the other Saiyan land, staring at you in surprise.

The smoke above soon clears, revealing Fesla. It's clear that your attack caused him pain, but unfortunately for you, he's very much alive.

"Alright, I've had enough of this," he comments, holding his hand down toward you.

A ball of energy flies from the ground, heading right for Fesla, who knocks it away before firing a retaliatory attack at its sender.

You hear Toma cry out in pain as the blast strikes the ground, creating a large fissure into which Toma falls.

"Toma, no!" Bardock cries, screaming in rage before exploding into the sky.

You move to follow, but fall to your knees, that last attack having drained your energy something fierce.

"Enough of this!" Fesla shouts as Bardock reaches him, giving Bardock a punch to the gut with enough force for the Saiyan to spit blood and fall limply fro the sky.

You see Sabi rise from the ground, gathering all of his energy and unleashing it in a massive ball of light that rockets toward Fesla.

"TAKE THIS!"

You see the blast strike Fesla, but you also quickly see that it did little more than piss him off.

"You just don't know when to die," Fesla comments, firing his own ball of energy down at Sabi, the blast throwing your comrade into the air and causing him to land on his head.

"You Saiyans have caused way too much trouble," Commander Fesla says. "But I'll make sure you don't cause any more."

Your jaw clenches in anger. You gave everything you had in this battle, pushed yourself to your absolute limits, and even beyond, watched comrades die, and it still wasn't enough. Now, Totapo is dead, and you and everyone else are about to join him.

Everything you've worked for is about to come undone, and everyone you've worked with is about to die.

The anger inside you explodes to the surface.

You voice your rage in a deafening yell, letting everything out as a sudden burst of energy fills your body. You feel not only refreshed, but more powerful than ever before, and as you take a moment to examine yourself, you also see that a golden aura is surrounding you.

Not only that, but your power has gone through the roof, now at nearly six thousand.

>You've unlocked Saiyan Rage, a state that can occasionally be triggered in times of extreme anger. In this state, your power increases immensely, but be careful, because such power can be hard to control, especially when consumed by rage.

Commander Fesla looks down at you, frowning. "Well, looks like you REALLY don't know when to give up."

You shoot into the sky, closing the distance between yourself and Commander Fesla in mere moments. You throw a solid punch that catches him right in the gut, causing him to hunch over and gasp in pain.

Quickly recovering, he throws a punch at your face that you quickly avoid by moving your head out of the way. He throws another punch and, after parrying it, you give him a nice kick in the jaw, knocking him back.

You then use a double-axe handle, slamming it against his face and sending him plummeting toward the ground.

He recovers just enough to land in a crouch, but still hits the ground with enough force to create a small crater. His eyes slowly rise to look at you, and he pushes himself back to his feet, looking at you like a serious threat for the first time.

"Fine, let's see what you're really made of, Saiyan," he says, rushing up into the sky and closing in on you quickly.

You rush down to meet his charge, and the two of you throw punches at the same moment.

You parry his while slamming your fist into the side of his face, knocking him off-balance. A knee-strike to his gut hunches him over, and an elbow to the back of his head sends him plummeting toward the ground.

You watch him stop himself, turning and firing a wave of energy up at you. Deflecting the blast, you race down toward him, kicking him full-force and sending him crashing to the ground on his back.

You stare down at him, watching as he clenches his teeth in anger and pulls himself back up. At this point, he actually seems to be trembling with rage, on the verge of tears, perhaps, or maybe just some impotent shouting.

He holds his arms out at both sides, palms facing upward. As you watch, an arc of electricity shoots from his left palm, travelling over his head and coming down to connect to the right. He slowly raises his hands, clapping them together over his head and spreading them apart to reveal a small green ball of energy that quickly grows until it's larger than both of you put together.

Sparks dance around the sphere of energy, and it suddenly moves, coming at you far too quickly for you to dodge.

You thrust your hands toward the oncoming blast, letting out a yell and unleashing an energy wave that rushes to meet the attack.

You can see that your blast is slowing it down, but unfortunately, that's all it's doing. The ball of energy continues to creep its way towards you, and no matter what you do, you can't seem to stop it.

Letting out a yell, you put more energy into stopping the attack, but are soon overpowered. The ball of energy pushes through your blast and strikes you, an you feel both a burning and shocking sensation at once as it detonates in a colossal explosion.

Your vision blurs as you slam into the ground, and you wince in pain as you pick yourself up. Taking a moment to examine yourself, you find that your injuries are minor. Still, that hurt like hell.

Commander Fesla is breathing heavily, but smirks in your direction.

"You see?" he asks. "You might think you're mighty, but you still can't measure up to me. I was born with Heran blood, and enhanced using their genetic code. I have the full power of the most powerful race to ever roam the cosmos. Next to me, you're nothing."

You're ready to fight again, but as you take a step forward, something happens. Your scouter alerts you to your power taking a nosedive, and you see the golden aura vanish. Your power drops down to three thousand, and you suddenly feel a lot less confident.

Fesla smirks. "What's wrong, Saiyan? Has the fight finally gone out of you?"

You don't feel exhausted anymore, in fact, you feel as though you're at full strength, but you no longer have the insane power of moments ago.

Still, Fesla's taken a beating and must be quite tired. Maybe you stand a chance.

"Ready to die, Saiyan?" your foe asks.

"I'm ready," you answer. "How about you?"

Commander Fesla chuckles, and you rush forward, channeling your energy into your right leg and delivering the most powerful kick you can muster.

Fesla brings up his arms, crossing them and blocking it. However, the force of your attack does make him take a step back.

Lowering his arms, he punches you in the face and sends you sliding on your back across the ground. You look up to see him smirking at you.

You turn and fly off as fast as you can, dashing away from the commander and into the sky. You push yourself as fast as your energy will allow, but it isn't fast enough.

Commander Fesla appears in front of you, slamming his fist into your face before grabbing you by the throat.

You feel your flow of oxygen being cut off, and Fesla grins maliciously.

You desperately make a move, unleashing your energy in all directions and catching Fesla off guard.

He releases his grip, being pushed back by your energy and scorched by it just a bit. A you struggled to catch your breath, he slams his elbow onto the hop of your head and sends you crashing to the ground below.

You find yourself spitting out dirt as you pull yourself back up.

"You're a stubborn one, that's for sure," Fesla tells you as he slowly comes to land beside you.

You let out a yell of rage and exertion, unleashing your energy once again and knocking Fesla right off you with a powerful blast.

You pick yourself back up, breathing heavily. That last attack took most of your energy, and you know it wasn't enough to put Fesla down.

He stands back up, looking enraged once again. Before you can react, he slams his fist into your gut with enough force to make you spit blood. He takes a step back, watching you drop to your knees and retch.

"Enough games," he tells you, holding his palm in front of your face.

You prepare yourself for him to deliver the final strike, but before he can launch his attack, someone slams into him from the side, sending him flying away from you.

To your surprise, Seripa lands in front of you, absolutely fuming with anger. Letting out a yell, she pursues her opponent, firing a blast to distract him before doing an axe kick on his face and sending him crashing into the dirt.

You see a shadow loom over you, and look up into the eyes of Kamatsuna.

"What are you doing on the battlefield?" you ask her.

"Making sure you don't die," she answers. "And don't act like I'm too fragile to be here, I'm a Saiyan."

She produces a familiar looking syringe. "I kept Seripa in the pod just long enough to stabilize her, then gave her a dose of this. She'll crash hard soon, but assuming Fesla doesn't kill her, she'll survive long enough for Totapo to come out of the healing tank."

She hands you the syringe. "Look, this is pretty much the last chance we have. Take this, and end this fight quickly. If you fail, I don't think we'll be making it out of this."

You reach out, taking the syringe.

"You'd better be right about this," you warn her.

"I know," she says, taking a step back. "Now hurry, Seripa won't last much longer."

You stick the syringe into your arm, injecting the odd substance into your body. Your arm begins to itch, then burn. The terrible, burning sensation spreads across your body, accompanied by a horrible headache.

You bring your had to your head, and your scouter alerts you to your power level rising. It's not as high as you would have liked, only at about 4500, but your energy has been restored, at least for the moment.

Looking over, you see Seripa getting pummeled by Fesla. No longer having the element of surprise, she's unable to keep up with her much more powerful foe. She tries her damnedest, attacking with a ferocity that even Rugula would envy, but Fesla blocks every attack and answers with a more powerful one.

You rush toward Fesla with everything you have, giving into your bloodlust and attacking him with no restraint, no thoughts for grace or showing off, just the cold intent to kill.

You deliver a Super Kick to the back of Fesla's head, sending him sliding face-first through the dirt. You chase after him, leaping and landing on his back, you leap off of him, spinning and grabbing him by the ankle and dragging him across the ground.

You throw him skyward and chase right after him, dodging an energy blast he shoots down toward you and punching him in the gut. As he hunches over, you move behind him, grab his head, and quickly twist it until his neck snaps.

You watch his corpse fall to the ground, and look over to see Seripa unconscious. You remember how you had to waste valuable time saving her after she got herself hurt, and how saving her had nearly gotten Totapo killed.

You kind of want to kill her yourself now.

You see Kamatsuna looking at you in concern. This was her idea, wasn't it? Why would she ask you to do something like this if she thought it would go wrong?

You look between Seripa and Kamatsuna, deciding which one to attack first.

Kamatsuna's staring at you, and you don't like that. You begin flying right down toward her, and she drops into a defensive stance. Now you just feel insulted, she honestly believes she can beat you with such a weak power level.

You grab her by the throat, lifting her in the air, then wince as she stabs something into your arm. You look over, see a syringe, then pass out.

When you wake up, you're in your bed and feel like absolute shit. Everything is sore, you still have some burns, and your head is pounding.

You pick yourself out of bed and make your way down the hall toward the medical center. You figure that the others are probably still recovering, so you assume that's where you'll find Kamatsuna.

Sure enough, you do find her there, and see Rugula stepping out of the healing tank, putting on her armor and grabbing her scouter. Doing a quick scan of her power level, you see that she's jumped up all the way to 3005.

She frowns at you as she activates her own scouter. "Uh...Kamatsuna, should Daikon maybe get put in a healing tank? His power level is only at 1500."

"No, physically he's fine," she answers, placing Sabi in the now empty tank. "As far as I can tell, it's a side-effect of the drug he took."

You ask Kamatsuna what it was that she injected you with out there.

"I managed to get some samples of the sedatives that were used on Bardock and Totapo," she tells you. "When I gave you the drug, I brought it with me as a safety precaution. It seems that was a wise decision, otherwise I would probably be dead right now."

Activating your scouter, you frown as you see that Rugula was correct about your power level, which is now a measly 1500.

"Rugula, can you train with me so I can get my power level back up?" you ask her.

She smirks. "You're asking me if I want to kick your ass with no repercussions. What am I going to say? No?"

She walks past you. "I'll be outside when you want to start."

>>
>>43959239
Well now Rug is going to be an even more insufferable bitch.

You're welcome, by the way, for saving your fucking life, despite the consequences.

Also, why the fuck was the commander so tough? I don't mean to ask why his PL was so high, but why would he just not die, despite taking hits that would have crippled or killed other people who shared his PL?
>>
>>43959239
Is this power loss permanent?
>>
>>43959270
Eventually

>>43959271
He's a warrior like you, and was altered using the genetic code of Herans, making him about the closest thing there was to a full-blooded Heran still out there. That made him rather resilient.

>>43959280
Of course not. If you train, you will regain your strength and eventually grow stronger. If you don't train, then yeah, you'll be stuck at 1500
>>
>>43959271
>despite taking hits that would have crippled or killed other people who shared his PL?
There is no proof this statement is true.
>>
>>43959314
But Herans weren't inherently hard to kill, not like Arcosians or Namekians.

Herans just had naturally high PLs, and some had the "Full-power" form which really boosted their shit.

And I guarantee that we would have had an arm broken if we tried to block a "super-kick".

I just can't be convinced by you, SOM.
>>
>>43959314
Will Gine ever get stronger? I know she isn't a skilled fighter. It's just sad to see her stuck at 700 on the pastebin every time i look at it

Nope. I refuse. I vote we stay on this planet until Daikon and most of the team is as strong as canon Nappa.
>>
>>43959377
You could maybe watch "Bojack Unbound" and notice that they were not exceptionally hard to kill.

And seeing as there is very little other source material for it, that kind of means a lot.

If you want to go ahead and defend him for putting us into artificially difficult situations that's fine.
>>
>>43959365
If she ever fights/gets hurt, then sure. But she isn't a warrior, she's too soft-hearted.

>>43959371
Choices are alright so far. Most of the things that have gone wrong lately have been due to bad luck with rolls.

Rugula is starting to like you, but she is still completely determined to surpass and defeat you.

Sabi likes and respects you, and hopes to become as strong as you were, if not stronger.

Soko likes you, but hopes to surpass you one day

Azu likes and respects you

Kamatsuna is fine with you, and does respect your leadership

Bardock sees you as a rival and a good comrade, but he intends to get you back for the "Bardock Buster"

Toma likes you fine

Seripa thinks you're good fighter and likes you alright

Totapo likes you

Gine likes you

>>43959412
Conquering the planet might boost your power a bit, but I'd recommend you let Daikon get some of his strength back first
