>>

I just picked one op said he was interested bruh, the reason civs are dying are that alot of people flake on them
It's really hard to run that way
I didn't mean it as personal attack
>>
>>44111395
A lot of people flake on them because a lot of the same exact civs get run over and over and it becomes old quickly.

Slimes and Insects happen all the time. The Bullywug civ that was up yesterday was refreshing though.

My opinion on why civs aren't as big as they were a few months back when they were fucking huge is because of streamlining. All the civs kind of end up playing the same and it's dissapointing.

That said, good luck to the CM running this I hope you can make it a fun time for us all.
>>
>>44111469
I like the cut of your job anon, I respect it
That being said insect and slime civs can be interesting, just like humans orcs dwarves and elves can be its all what goes into them
>>
>>44111362
Nah I'm really hoping for insects. Evolution and customizing our units. Swarming 5:1 just to reach parity of strength, eating everything and at the same time diplo and trade royal honey for food or some such.
>>
Okay I'm calling a new vote here. I'm not banning anything so go nuts. I've been in one too many civs that went to hell just because people were ass-hurt by the race that was chosen.

So here, choose ANYTHING that you guys like but this will be the final votes. You got until the end of this song and at the end of it I'll just go with whatever has the most votes

Hunger. That's the first feeling you get in a long time. Slowly you begin to stir from your sleep, all manner of senses assulting you all at once.

Sounds, your aching bones and smells that are quickly recognised as blood, death and fire. You open your eyes and lazilly stand on your, stretching your almost petrified skin with every movement. You are awake!

>Choose colour of your dragon king:
*Green - Smaller in size but fast and cunning, a pair of legs and strong wings you look more like a over-sized wyvern but you are way more dangerous
*Black - Massive, tough and strong. Bony spines dot your huge frame supported by four log like legs and two pairs of wings
*Red - Not big, nor small but smart. The most iconic of dragons, hoarder of wealth, commander of armies, King
*Write-in fluff, size and everything else

Scanning your immediate surroundings you can discern that you are in a shallow cavern. In front of you are the charred remains of what looks like humanoid creatures, recently killed, but by what?
As you move out of the cavern you find yourself surrounded by enormous trees and greenery. A rushing sound catches your attention and as you turn a wyvern hisses to your right. It keeps it's distance for now although it looks at you with vicious eyes.

What do?

You scoff at the snarling wyvern and stretch your wings, blue scales glimmering in the slight light that penetrates the dense folliage. You take a step forward, the wyvern retreating with a hiss behind a boulder near the entrance to the cavern. Looking at it you start flapping your wings, slowly inching higher and higher until you pass the upper cannopy of the jungle you are in.

Looking around you cannot discern much but looking southwards you can see the forrest thining a little as a huge river cuts through it. It appears you fell asleep in the side of a small hill surrounded by an ancient jungle that seems to span forever. Content about your curiosity being sattisfied you start descending back your former "bedroom".
By the looks of it you and the scared Wyrm are the only living beings around. Rummaging through the burnt corpses you indulge yourself on the charred meat in a failed attempt to sattiate your hunger.

You decide that since you are stuck here with the thing, why not, well.. Have fun.
You slowly approach the wyvern, your chest puffed, your horn high and proud. It watches you with a reserved curiosity until it hits it. You're male it's female, you are bigger and faster. All it does to stop you from subjugating it is a weak snarl as you gently bite at the back of it's head.

It is night time when you step out of the cavern. Your new mate while smaller than you still managed to nick some scales of your maw, but now it calmly rests on the same boulder she used to hide behind.

Your stomach rumbles violently as you start to feel a bit woozy. All the energy you expended today needs to be replaced, you can't even remember when you ate last. (-5 to all rolls)

You listen to what your body tells you and with a grunt you open your maw at your new mate:
"HUUUNNNNN-GRRrrrrrrYYYYY"

She lifts her head up gently chirping at you as you both head out into the jungle to hunt. She moves hungrily from tree to tree, breaking and bending branches, you following closer to the ground, listening.

Suddenly she stops clinging to some sturdy branches as she tilts her head from side to side. A family of primates sit on a long branch of a massive tree, munching on a blue-ish fruit. You start counting one, two.., four, fi-
Before you get a chance of making a plan your mate screeches as she pounces at the biggest ape, bringing it down by biting on it's neck. The others panick and start to scatter around the cannopy but you manage to catch a cpouple of stragglers, quickly swallowing them whole. You are not left with much after the meager feast, 2 apes, but at least you are sated for today.
You bring the prey back home and lie back in the cave contemplating your next action.

Sitting in this damp little cavern makes you quite unconfortable, you can't even stretch your wings!

You get up and start digging at the loose soil, piling it at the entrance of the cavern in a circular shape. As you dig and dig some more, you hear a yelp from somewhere within the jungle. As you turn to face the sound you can distinguish some shapes moving between the trees and bushes. Your mate looks concerned, chirping and tilting it's head at the sound.

Just as you start moving towards the weird sounds out of the greenery two huge four legged beasts come charging at the two of you. Your mate panics and soars to the high branches, leaving you facing the two behemoths.

They are roughly your size and currently charging towards you. As you get ready to face them, you feel a surge of static moving across your body. You are ready.

It staggers back to it's feet clearly dazed by the shock as you land behind it.(Jungle Behemoth 35/50hp)

Before the second animal can even make a move towards you, your mate pounces on it's back, biting and scratching, it rips whole chunks of meat and fur from it's back and neck.

Concerned for your new found mate, you decide it's best to take to the air in search of her. You slowly climb a tree to it's top and survey the immediate surroundings.

You don't spot many things. Some of the apes you hunted swinging between the branches and liannas, other small animals and lots of trees. Defeated by this sight you stretch your wings and soon you are above the canopy heading towards the big river you saw on the first day.
The flight to one of it's banks was uneventfull, but once you get there you get a feeling like being watched. Walking around you see lots of foot-prints of various animals in the soft, muddy bank of the river, but a pair of them in particular stand out. Not nearly as big as yours, but clawed just like yours.

You curiously follow them as they leave the river bank and head into the thicker jungle again. As you follow the footsteps you notice darting movements between the hulking tree trunks around you, the feeling of beeing watched deffinetily confirmed, you swing open your wings and clamber to some lower branches to scout around.

It doesn't take long for you to spot what was following you. Salamanders. Small (compared to you) quadruple lizzards, with sharp fangs and teeth, they gather bellow your branch and look at you curriously.

What do?

You spend some time analyzing these creatures. They're small but agile, some of them even climbed closer to inspect you. They seem quite fond of you actually.

You counted about 6-7 of them running about bellow you. Still you went out looking for your mate but you think you can have some fun since you're out exploring so why not? Taking off into a flight you go around the jungle hunting for some apes. The salamanders follow you curriously, and seem quite extatic when you drop the mangled bodies of the apes for them.
You spend more time eith the little critters untill you finally take off back towards your lair, where to your surprise find your mate (wanna name her?) building a nest for the two of you. There's some colourfull feathers in there, some sprkly stones, and even mangled bits of metal. She chirps excitedly as you arrive and seems surprised when she sees 7 Salamanders watching playfully from around some bushes at the two of you.

Hahaha she's started our hoard for us.
So if I'm understanding the GM, this won't be focused on building a civilization so much as building ourselves for a little while.
I'd like to do some research, but I'm not really sure what we could possibly do there. So..

Rolling to practice some lightning magic using trees as the targets. Nice green trees that are less likely to start a forest fire.

Research our powers in order to better understand our power. Look into what makes the king different from the wyvern or the salamander, and test everyone for magic aptitudes.

Also what do you want to build? Right now you're kinda in the limits of digging and pilling things on top of each other.

I could take this >>44116494 as an action since it's a fucking crit. But you guys decide

Allright!

It is nice that you said you want to continue this story. DO you have twitter? So that we can see when you will be starting a new thread when this one ends?

Looking at the salamanders play, your mate fiddle-ing around with the nest and the boring scenery around you decide to get up and do SOMETHING. So you wander a bit around looking for something to hunt untill you stumble upon a pack of the ape creatures you hunted before, but this time you get to plan first and then act. As you lay in the cannopy contemplating the different approaches you can take suddenly you remember about the fight with the behemoths. the feeling of static running across your body, surging from your maw straight onto your enemy, and so you decide to try and recreate it.

It takes a couple of tries to get the right tension around you but soon you are surrounded by a light blue shimmer. It crackles a bit as you rub across the folliage, but you maintain the feeling, stalking the family from above. When you are right on top of the group, you open up your wings and silently glide downwards. You eventually get spotted but they didn't stand a chance. As soon as you heard the first panicked cry, you released all that tension in an instant, parralyzing the unfotunate animals. All you had to do then was pick them up in your mouth one by one and carry them to your nest.

>Electrical Surge discovered. You get a better understanding of your power. Using the Surge in battle Will stun big enemies arounf you and might actually kill smaller beings.

So, when did this civ gaming start? I remember doing something like this years ago on an online game which was basically a map with text you can change. It was hilariously bad and under thought in comparison to this tho
>>
>>44117372
Also, i think this is a good place to call it a night. Should be running this tomorrow if you guys are interested.

>>44117482
I'm into this for about 2 years (?) now.
This is my second attempt at a civ game. I started an insect one a WHILE back but IRL shit got in between..

Anyways I might have a hexografer map by tomorrow and a better fleshed out system, so stay tuned.

Here's my twatter again https://twitter.com/MunQm
