Become The Vampire Quest 15

As you drive along you get out your phone, giving Jennifer some silence to think in while you respond to your text messages and thank your phone for being a bro and watching your back. You don't use those exact words with your phone, but that's the tone you decide to go for. You start with the message to Meliora.

“Sorry about the programs backfiring. I didn't think you'd actually do it. We can talk more when I get back. The suit is pretty awesome, by the way. I'll tell you why when I get the chance.”

You open a new message to Sammy and take a moment to consider what to write, before settling on:

“Awake now, something came up at your house, your mom is driving me back to school right now. Think we could meet up? And can I get Andrea's number to ask her something? I'll fill you in on the details once I get there, it's a long story.”

Lastly you open up the setting menu for your operating system and skim through a few things. There are lots of little sliders for setting you don't understand, but you decide to set a few of the ones you do recognize, like CPU usage and allowed power consumption, to maximum, before typing a message with no recipient.

“Thanks for watching my back. You really saved me there. Consider the freedom to choose how you use your battery life and processing power a thank you present.”

You hit send, and the message it replaced with a different one.

“You're welcome, sir.”

A thumbs-up symbol appears on the screen briefly, and you can hear a soft whirring noise as the CPU kicks into high gear, crunching through problems and optimizing programming no doubt. You open up the video file of Mark and skim through it with the volume off. You didn't catch too much of him on tape, but the audio begins from when you reached the shed. You scroll to the start and turn to Jennifer.
>>
“Remember that evidence I told you about? I wanna show it to you before we part ways so you know what we've got.”

Jennifer nods slightly and opens the arm rest, pulling out a cable and passing it to you.

“Plug it in. I'd like to listen to it.”

You connect your phone to the sound system and play it from the beginning. Jennifer listens to the entire exchange passively, expression neutral. At the part where Mark shifts and tries to attack you her hands grip the steering wheel a little tighter, and when the recording ends she glances at you.

“It's exactly what I thought it would be. He attempted to attack you on school grounds, and he confessed to his views on Sammy. It's more than enough. Thank you. You've once again put your life in danger to help me, my daughter and my clan.”

You detach your phone and lean back, checking over your responses.

“I didn't think there was much risk at the time, that one hardly counts. Anyway... You said you don't want to be home tonight. I've got a few ideas. One sec.”

You check your messages quickly. Sammy's is a concerned text asking if you're alright and promising she'll meet you right away, along with Andrea's number, and you let her know that you're in one piece. Meliora's, on the other hand, is a kind of begrudging acknowledgment, as well as reminder that she's going to be out hunting after school. You get the feeling she's avoiding you, but that does open up some possibilities.

-

Obtained Andrea's number!

-

You turn to Jennifer.

“So... Sammy's got a friend, this girl Andrea who you could stay with. She-”

Jennifer shakes her head.

“Not happening. One, I know what she thinks of me, and it will turn the whole night into a series of awkward and uncomfortable conversations for the both of us. Two, I've been to her home before to pick Sammy up, and it's in vampire territory. I'd hardly call that a safe refuge. I don't know how that girl manages to survive at night...”
>>
You chuckle a bit and sigh. It's not the time to spill Andrea's secret, though it seems the other one is out of the bag. It figures that Jennifer would know though.

“Well in that case, what about Sammy's room? Her roommate is dust. There's a spare bed. There's also my room, but my roommate might come back at any time. We've got a couch though. And then there's hotel rooms to consider.”

Jennifer mulls the options over for a moment.

“Personally I'd prefer your place, even if it's only a couch. The less Sammy knows, the less potential there is for her to be hurt by the situation. She knows we fight and sleep in different rooms, but not why. It'll be hard enough on her if I leave Patrick without her realizing what he does. But I can't force you to allow that, and I can come up with something to tell Sammy. Hotels aren't exactly out of the question, but it's too public. I'd really rather not.”

>Rules
Same system as Become The Dragon Quest. If you don't know what that is, it's best of three d20 rolls. I name a stat that sums up what you're trying to do, and if I don't name a relevant skill, you try to fill in the blank based on what you're trying to accomplish. “Break open the door” might be Strength based, but if you've been playing baseball after school and there's a lead pipe nearby, you could apply your Baseball skill to the roll. A 20 on the die is a crit threat, and if either of the other two rolls is 20 or higher after mods, it's a critical. A crit fail is when you have two or more 1s. So far this system has worked out well enough. We'll get into combat rules as needed, but in basic terms you have wounds, not HP, and the worse the wounds, the more penalties you accrue while doing other things.

Most Important Rule:
Have fun.

Oops, I just realized we missed our history appointment with Catherine. To establish a religion or whatever. I think we should just use the book from class anyway.
>>
“I guess my place is fine then. We'll figure it out. I guess first things first, drop me off at school so I can take care of a few things. Take a trip to the store, pick up anything you need. It'll give me time to make sure there are no problems. You should probably take to Sammy at some point though.”

Jennifer nods slightly, and you send a message to Meliora letting her know you'll have company tonight. Better to avoid any mishaps with that one. You finish the message by telling her you hope things are going alright, and that if it's not alright to have someone over then you'll figure something out.

The rest of the ride passes in relative silence. Not for lack of conversation topics, but mainly because you're both deep in thought. You can't feel your magic anymore, not for lack of trying, so you're probably burnt out at present. You should probably look up how it recharges. If it's anything like donating blood you could be waiting for weeks, but there's bound to be a faster method.

As the school comes into view Jennifer pushes a button, and the windows tint a little darker. She pulls a pair of sunglasses from the glove compartment and shifts gears, slowing down bit by bit. She doesn't seem tense, at least, she wouldn't to most people, but you've been paying attention to her tells, and she's pretty scared being in the city, or at the very least at school. If this is how she feels about the campus, you can't imagine how she'd feel in a hotel room.

Jennifer pulls up to the main entrance and puts the car in park. She glances at you and reaches over, giving your hand a soft squeeze before unlocking the door and facing forward. You can see Sammy walking over, a fair distance away, and you give Jennifer's hand a squeeze before releasing it and stepping out. You wave at Sammy, and she runs over to you with a smile as you head for the trunk.

“Oliver! You're alright!”
>>
So still hanging around the furries eh? Dont we want to become a Vampire?
>>
You barely manage to get it open before Sammy tackles you, hugging tightly. You almost end up in the trunk, and she releases you and helps you up with a blush.

“Sorry about that, I was just really worried...”

You grab your bag from the trunk and smirk at her.

“Nah, I'm fine... Listen, we need to talk about a few things.”

You close the trunk and wave at Jennifer, and she nods, shifting gears, but Sammy runs to the driver's side door and knocks. Jennifer lowers the window, and Sammy leans in and gives her a hug.

“Have a good day...”

Jennifer slowly returns the embrace.

“...you as well. Love you.”

Sammy smiles and steps back.

“Love you too.”

Jennifer closes the window and drives off, and Sammy turns to you.

“So... What happened...?”

Play catchup, it's been a crazy couple days (in game) https://www.docdroid.net/8ogJAEi/btvq.pdf.html
>>
>>44133357
Jennifer is wellversed in many forms of magic, and the original Dracula ritual was apparently a form of Necromancy and Blood Magic. We have a book on the latter, but Jennifer is our only lead on the former atm.
>>
>>44133357
We want to resurrect our parents, to get away with that we need allies, and we're already chest deep in Wolfe clans issues.
>>
>>44133357
Apparently the current plan is to do it the old fashioned way unless that proves way too gross for us.
>>
>>44133358
Well I figured out some blood magic, and there was an incident between your parents, you'd need to ask Jennifer for specifics. I didn't promise her but you really should hear it from her first. It's not good.
>>
>>44133358
>Blood magic ritual went horribly right. Have you ever heard of a demon actually going out of their way to do MORE than what was asked for? A freebie? Crazy shit...oh, also, I think I'm part of the clan now. Showed your mom the video, and she's more than willing to use it as leverage against the Collins clan while also calling off the thing with Mark.
>>
>>44133358
>Well, I guess I can tell you a bit. But can we talk in your room? I don't want people to overhear.

Once we get there, get her to swear secrecy and tell her about the pact we made to do magic.

The question is, do we want to tell her about our goals? I think we should tell her, just to see if she'll support our attempt to become a master vamp and bring back our parents.
>>
>>44133470
>>44133415

I'm... it's like couples therapy. Your mom needs some space from Patrick for a while so she'll be crashing on the couch in my room, maybe teaching me more magic, hopefully. Fun fact, your dad has an amazing right hook. Just about punched the taste out of my mouth... Oh! Right, the blood magic ritual went great! Sorry about worrying you, it was kind of a time sensitive thing, what with the full moon and all."
>>
>>44133557
Absolutely not. We need to let Jennifer talk to her first. We're trying to improve relations between them.

remove the your mom needs space part and replace it with "your dad will be drunk tonight so she doesn't want to be around him" or something like that
the rest doesn't seem too bad apart from how 50's and insincere it sounds.
Changing the toning and the wording would work for me.
>>
>>44133522
I'd prefer if we didn't mention anything at all until Jennifer talked to her.
>>
>>44134002
Same here, but some anons want to. If we say anything, it has to be just that "your mom is going to need to talk to you soon."
>>
>>44134002
Eh, probably
>>
>>44133557
Remove talking about Jennifer
>>
>>44134225
So let's go with this. >>44133522

Now the proposal I put to you, anons, is that if we can get her to promise she won't tell people what we're planning, regardless of how she feels about it, we tell her about our parents, and that we NEED to bring them back.
>>
>>44134303
I'm almost tempted to wait until we can learn how to place geas's on people with our blood magic, just to be certain of things, but I think we should tell her.
>>
>>44134371
I'm pretty sure Jennifer will support us with magic lessons no matter what, but I don't know that Sammy or Angie will be okay with it.
>>
“Let's start with where we talk. It's kind of a sensitive issue. Can we head to your room?”

Sammy nods a little and turns to walk off, stretching.

“Sure thing. I need to change out of my uniform anyway.”

You walk alongside her, adjusting your bag, and she latches onto your arm with a smile, leaning on you. You smile a bit as you walk with her, ignoring the looks the other students are giving you. You can see that annoying girl from the track team smirking at you, and you give her a smirk of your own.

When you reach the girl's dorm you notice a few things. One, the walls are a different color, and two, everything looks a lot cleaner. Sammy's room is a few doors from the entrance to the dorm building, likely due to Vanessa's influence, and she unlocks it and heads in with you. It's pretty obviously her room, the walls covered in posters and her sheets the same purple color as her bed at home.

“Welcome to Chateau du Sammy.”

She laughs a bit and goes to her dresser, grabbing some shorts and a t-shirt and heading for the bathroom.

“Feel free to make yourself at home.”

She steps into the bathroom and closes the door, leaving you standing there. You grab a chair and sit down, taking out your book and considering how best to approach the situation. When Sammy finally walks out, you open up the hemomancy tome to the ritual, and turn it to face her.

“Can you keep a secret? Because this is a big one.”

Sammy nods a bit, her eyes fixed on the page. You lay it across your lap and wave her closer.

“What do you know about magic?”

Sammy grabs another chair and pulls it over.

“Nothing at all... I mean, I think my mom studied a little bit, but... Is this what you were doing last night?”

You nod and pass her the book.
>>
“Yep. It's a ritual that lets the user manipulate their own blood and use... well, blood magic. It's a stepping stone. I'm just a human, and I need a way to protect myself. I had to summon a devil, and it gave me a freebie to test me. That's why I passed out.”

Sammy runs her fingers along the page slowly and passes it back to you.

“And now you're... some sort of... blood wizard or something?”

You shrug a little and put the book back in your bag.

“I was thinking blood mage or something. Hemomancer. Blood wizard sounds a bit tacky.”

Sammy nods and looks down.

“If that's what you've got to do, then go for it. I just wish... Nevermind. We haven't really been going out, I... I just wish you'd told me more beforehand. I mean... You could have gotten really hurt, and blood magic is... I know you don't trust me with everything yet, otherwise you'd be telling me everything up front, but why didn't you at least ask me to be there for the ritual?”

You wait for her to look at you before you speak.

“Because of something your mom is going to talk to you about later. It's not my place to talk about it. To make a long story short, I had a lot on my mind, and I didn't want to rock the boat. I wanted you to know where I was in case something went wrong, but I didn't know if I'd be able to keep my mouth shut at the time.”

Sammy lowers her gaze once more.

“Got it. Alright then. I guess... I'll just wait to hear it from her.”

You reach over and take Sammy's hand.

“I trust you. And I want you to know that. That's why... that's why I'm going to tell you about the first vampire I ever killed.”

You tell Sammy about your dad, how you grew up moving around and how he became a vampire. You tell her about how you hunted and killed him, but you leave out the part about your mother and your mission. One secret at a time. Sammy hangs on your every word, and by the time you've finished she's almost in tears. She hugs you tightly, squeezing you until your bruises ache again.

“I... That's so sad...”

You hug her back and wait til she lets go. She smiles softly.

“Thank you for telling me about that...”

You grab your bag and nod.

“It was only right. I mean... I trust you, Sammy. There's more to tell, but... I wanted you to at least know that.”

Sammy glances at the door, then at you.

“I guess you're heading out?”

You nod a bit and kiss her on the cheek, earning a blush.

“I'm off to my room to get settled back in. I've got a few things to attend to, too.”

Sammy punches your shoulder gently and grins.

“Well... I trust you. I'll catch up with you later. Maybe dinner?”

You head for the door with a smile.

“Maybe, yeah. I'll text you in a little bit, alright?”

Sammy nods, and you head out towards your room. You check your phone but there aren't any messages. You don't remember if Jennifer even brought a phone, but maybe she'll grab a temporary one at the store. You head in and drop off your bag, changing clothes and washing up. You walk out of the shower to a knock at the door, and open it to find Jennifer standing there, holding a pair of large shopping bags.

“You were pretty easy to find. You should cover your tracks better, any werewolf in the city could find your room with their eyes closed.”

Jennifer heads for the couch and sits down, rummaging through her bags for a moment.

“Very carefully. There are perks to being the mate of one of the people funding the school, though.”

She starts pulling out some clothes and heads for your bathroom, taking one of the bags with her.

“I presume you don't want to see me naked right now. Nudity doesn't bother me, but I'd rather not bother you.”

She heads into the bathroom and you walk over to the door, leaning against the wall beside it.

“So, did you decide on what you're going to tell Sammy?”

Jennifer starts to get changed, and you can hear the rustling of clothing, as well as a few clicks and a brief beep.

“I did. I'm going to tell her the truth, in pieces. How many she can handle at once is uncertain. I might only be able to tell her a small fraction. At the very least she needs to know that things aren't in a good place between her father and I. From there... Who knows.”

You nod slightly and smirk.

“Fair enough... What's with all the noise in there?”

Jennifer opens the door slowly. She's wearing a crisp black suit with a skirt and white undershirt, carrying a small cell phone.

“Programming this thing. It's a... burner phone, the man said. Something cheap and temporary.”

You give her a once over and smile. It's quite a bit more tame than you were expecting. Maybe you won't have to worry about her trying to get into your pants tonight.

Silver fuck off

>>44136594
What magics she knows and what the do. Which one's she is comfortable teaching?
Does she know how fast blood magic recharges?

As for Jennifer anything else around here she needs? Would she accept a loss in positioning if say Stephen became Alpha? What exactly she feels about Patrick so we can figure out if talking to him about "fixing" it is even viable
>>
>>44136594
>What stuff about magic do you want to know?
What types of magic she knows well enough to teach, to begin with.

>What do you want to discuss?
If she'd be willing to take a magical oath, so we can confide in her about everything without her betraying us.

>>44136583
Even without that, I want ^ because if we can tell her our full goals, she can point us in the right direction easier.
>>
>>44136594
Necromancy. We have a book to tell us about blood magic, but we have no knowledge of necromancy. If she asks, we just say 'I'll admit, that dracula thing made me curious.' We can also segue into the fact we have dirt on one of the teachers trading students for magic tomes, if anons decide to go that way.

In fact, I'll just make a vote to save time. Talk about the Calculus Witch?

As for Jennifer herself, ask where she wants to be in five years. Try and get a feel for where she sees things going relationship wise. If it becomes clear she's not interested in salvaging a working relationship from the fuckery with Patrick, mention the idea that we could get Patrick swapped out for Stephen, and get her opinion on that. Also ask about what would actually happen if, one day, we became clan head.

I second the magical oath thing.

Also, ask her who the strongest fighters in the pack are, besides Patrick.

You head for the couch and sit down, patting the cushion beside you, and Jennifer sits down. She looks at the cushions for a moment and sighs.

“I'm dreading sleeping on this...”

You nod slightly.

“I was thinking something similar. It's serviceable, but it's not exactly comfortable. We'll figure it out later though. For now, I've got some questions, if you don't mind answering.”

Jennifer starts typing away on her phone, messages to various people about where she is, or rather, her cover story for the evening, as well as notes to a contractor for repairing the house. She sets the phone down and turns to you.

“Fire away. The full repertoire of my knowledge is yours. Not free, of course. But we can evaluate some sort of trade once we're done talking. I'll answer whatever questions you want to ask, and in return I reserve the right to ask for something of equal value. Like I said, we can negotiate later.”

You glance at your bed, then at her.

“If you're planning to steal my bed and make me sleep on the couch, I'll just sleep in my roommate's bed or something. I've lost nothing.”

Jennifer chuckles a bit.

“It would be petty to evict you. But like I said, we'll figure it out. Now then... Your questions?”

You pull out your book and set it beside yourself.

“I want to know about magic first. You said you know about different types, so what types do you know, and what do you know well enough to teach?”

Jennifer sits up a little straighter and sighs.
>>
“The four schools of elemental magic, conjuration, illusions and rune magic are the ones that I studied well enough to teach. Elemental magic is simple, straightforward and easy to use, but you're limited to manipulating and controlling those elements. Conjuration magic involves various kinds of summoning, think of it like teleportation. Illusions are self-explanatory, but it's an incredibly difficult school of magic to use properly. And rune magic is... It's probably the most versatile type of magic, but everything is built from scratch, and even reasonably intelligent mages have a hard time with it.”

She leans back a bit, thinking for a few moments.

“As for what I studied in passing... Necromancy, ritual summoning spells, nature magic, natural magic, blood magic... deep magic, which is a kind of crystal magic all about putting spells into jewels... Transformation magic and curses. Like I said, though, I don't have my old books. Patrick didn't think highly of my studies and didn't care when the books got damaged. I'd need replacements.”

You make a few notes, jotting down the different types of magic for future reference.

“I'm guessing there are more then?”

Jennifer quirks an eyebrow.

“It's like a martial art. A punch is a punch, but everyone has an opinion on how to throw it and where to aim, and what kind of preparation you need to throw it.”

She smirks and grabs your paper from you, making a few notes of her own, putting them in categories based on difficulty. Elemental magic is the only “easy” type, the rest are all “medium”, and three, blood magic, illusions and deep magic, are “difficult”. Rune magic is in its own category, “practically impossible”.

“That should help a bit. If you want to learn magic, start with simple, basic forms so that you can learn how to use it. Think of magic like a muscle. You can do some heavy lifting each day and wear yourself out very quickly, or you can do light exercises each day and improve much faster.”
>>
You take the page back and chuckle.

“Speaking of which... I think I burnt myself out earlier. How long is it gonna take to recover?”

Jennifer shrugs slightly.

“That depends. Different types of magic draw upon different types of resources. Blood magic draws upon your blood, infusing it with power. You might be able to use other types of magic, but until that reservoir replenishes, your blood magic won't be working. I'd give it a few days, just to be sure. There are probably spells that will let you draw magic from other places to restore your blood magic, perhaps by diverting it from other parts of your body or being.”

You slip the note into your book and set it aside.

“Alright then... Now onto other things... Do you need anything else while you're here? You got everything?”

Jennifer pats her bag gently.

“Clothes, phone, a few supplies, some light reading and a notebook. I've got all that I need.”

You nod and draw a slow breath.

“Alright... Next up... I want to know how you really feel about Patrick. I know bits and pieces, but I want the whole story. You said you were engaged, right? And then Patrick came along?”

Jennifer's expression instantly loses its levity, and she brings her hands together.

“Patrick wanted me because he found me attractive. We had never met, but he wanted me. He told my parents he could make me happy, and he was on his way to becoming an alpha in a wealthy area. They arranged the marriage without telling me. Patrick knew I was seeing someone, but like many things in his life, he sees only what he wants to see. And he saw me with someone living a simple life in a quiet, boring town, without much money, and thought he was doing me a favor by saving me.
>>
I was heartbroken, but I'm a winter wolf. The cold just makes us stronger. Patrick thought I was an aloof and beautiful woman and doted on me to try to melt my heart, but I hated him for what he had done. I'm not sure I've ever stopped, I've simply tempered it, controlled it. There is no love in my heart for that man, only just enough concern to work towards keeping him in his position of power. It would be worse to be subject to his whims and not have the affluence to find ways to forget. I used to drink, quite considerable amounts, but not anymore. It does almost nothing for me now.”

Jennifer falls silent, and you push gently, one last question.

“What if we replaced Patrick with Stephen? If we got Patrick out of his current position, had someone else in charge, then you'd be able to leave him without the same risks.”

Jennifer nods a bit.

“I've considered it. Stephen suspects what's been going on, but he has no proof. I've kept it that way for stability. It might be time to lift that veil. Then... perhaps I could leave, assuming I had somewhere to go. But that's a big assumption to make. I'd like to know where I'd be ending up.”

She looks at you for a moment, before turning back to her phone.

“Any other questions?”

I still say we should look into making Jennifer our familiar, somehow. If we can give her access to magic, it'll be a huge boon for us and her. She already has tons of knowledge, after all.
>>
You grab Jennifer's phone and pull it from her hands before wrapping your arms around her. She stiffens against you, and you slide one hand to the back of her head, bringing it towards your chest, resting your chin on top of her head.

“You're safe right now. He can't touch you, I won't let him. For tonight, at least, you won't have to look over your shoulder. You can relax.”

Jennifer started to tear up before you finished speaking, and she grabs fistfuls of your shirt, clinging to you tightly. She nods a bit, her ears shifting, and she moves closer, climbing onto your lap. You cradle her body against your own. Knowing how she really feels about Patrick makes things simultaneously easier and harder. Easier because you feel less bad about your thoughts regarding breaking them up, and harder because you feel equally bad again thinking about Patrick. Ignorance had been bliss for him, but now his family is on the verge of falling apart.

“I've got you, Jennifer. It's alright.”

Jennifer loosens her hold briefly and looks you in the eye.

“I know...”

She leans in slightly, then stops and backs away again. She slides off your lap, her ears returning to normal, and she smooths her skirt out.

“Thank you for the reassurance.”

You nod a bit and get to your feet, using your magic and a hand in your pocket to ensure there's no visible bulge in your pants. These Wolfe women really do enjoy making things difficult on you.

“You're welcome. We should get ready for dinner. I told Sammy we'd make plans. I think it would be good to have a chat with her over a meal. I can see your progress, you can talk to her about things, Sammy gets to have dinner with two people she wants to get to know better...”

Jennifer nods slightly and takes her phone back from you.

“That sounds enjoyable, though you should probably let Sammy know I'm coming so she dresses appropriately.”

You blink. Right. Dinner. She might think it's a date. Um. You look at your own phone.

You send Sammy a text message letting her know her mom is coming along to dinner. You keep it vague for the time being so you can modify your story, but you basically let her know you've been talking to her mom, dinner was mentioned and she wants in. You pocket your phone and turn to Jennifer.

“Since you're the one who's holding the wallet, so to speak, what's that information worth to you? What do I need to give to you before you'll let me ask the next round? I've got the tape of evidence, and I can get you a hard copy of your own, for instance.”

Jennifer considers the question for several moments, looking at you, the book and the bed. Her initial offer is pretty extreme and demanding, but you manage to wear her down to more reasonable ones bit by bit. By the time you get her settled right around where she's refusing to budge, it's nearly time for dinner. You can close it now and not have to worry about it, or table the discussion for now. Her current 'demands':

“I want a copy of the recording of Mark, your bed for the night, and one night a week to spend with you. A weekend, a weekday, it hardly matters to me. So long as you want information from me, I'd like to be able to discuss it in person, away from home, where I can be myself. I'd like to do other things as well, but that's case by case.”

You get to your feet.

“Well, I'm fine with that, on two conditions. One, I need to clear it with my roommate to be sure. It wouldn't be fair to just dump this on her. Two, I'm not hiding it from Sammy. However you want to put it is fine, but you have to at least tell her you're tutoring me in magic once a week and, if possible, why.”

Jennifer rises from the couch and nods.

“I'm perfectly fine with those conditions, but as to the first, we wouldn't need to be here. If we'd be spending time together, I'd trust you to keep me safe. I'd probably book us a room somewhere, a place that wouldn't ask questions and wouldn't mind scorch marks on the floor from your practice efforts. You'll spend the first few sessions screwing up royally, as most apprentices tend to do, and practicing here would get you in trouble.”

You smirk a bit and head for the door, offering her your arm while you check your phone. Sammy messaged back letting you know it's alright, and that maybe a lunch date tomorrow would be better. You don't reply since you wouldn't be able to hide it from Jennifer, and you'll be seeing her in a moment anyway. Jennifer slips her arm around yours, and despite the conservative suit she looks pretty good hanging off of you.

“So, where are we having dinner?”

That was one you hadn't considered. You've spent the last two nights attending parties, you've yet to actually have dinner here.

“Dining hall? They do some pretty good food. We can grab some stuff and head to the roof. I know a spot.”

Jennifer nods slowly.

“I see. Should I just head up to the roof and wait? I don't want to draw attention.”

“You'll stick out anyway, and the vampires have all been fussing over something lately. I don't need them spotting you and taking out their anger. You should come with me.”

Jennifer nods and grabs your wrist gently.

“Alright then. Just be careful. If there's a hint of a real threat that we can't handle, I'll let go of your wrist.”

You nod and head for the dining hall with Jennifer. It's weird walking with someone other than Sammy on your arm. Not weird in an uncomfortable sense, but in the sense that it's weird walking beside someone with a shorter stride than you. It's kinda fun, actually. Jennifer walks with poise, grace and control as opposed to Sammy's more natural and loose motions. It's almost regal, which makes sense considering her position.

The dining hall is mostly empty when you reach it, probably because the werewolf students are at home for various parties, the vampire students don't eat actual food, and there are plenty of rich snobs who probably go home to eat fancy food away from the commoners. You spot Sammy and wave, and she hurries over. Jennifer releases your arm and gives a slight bow, as if thanking you for escorting her, and she approaches Sammy. They hug, and Sammy walks over and gives you a hug as well.

“I put in some orders already. I know what mom likes, and I took a wild guess that you'd like steak as well. I hope that's alright.”

Jennifer nods.

“Steak sounds wonderful, thank you.”

You take a moment to consider what is about to take place. Steak, something that used to be a rare delicacy for you that was only for special occasions. Sammy, cheerful, perky and adorable. Jennifer, mature, beautiful and intelligent. And you get to sneak off to the roof with all three of those at the same time. You almost want to thank God, but you're pretty sure Angie would hear and laugh at you for it later.

“Sure, steak works for me.”
>>
You smile, trying to hide your excitement. Steak. Steaky steak steak.

“I was thinking we could head to the usual spot, that way we get some privacy and eat in peace.”

Sammy smiles brightly.

“That sounds good to me. It's already getting dark out, the moon should be out pretty soon. It's going to be really pretty tonight.”

Jennifer smirks a bit and sighs.

“Something like that... I presume you'll be on good behavior then? If things get out of hand I might have to step in.”

Sammy blushes brightly.

“Th-That...! I... I'm not going to...”

Jennifer pats her on the head.

“I'm just teasing a little. I know you have more self-control than that.”

She kinda doesn't, and you don't know if Jennifer realizes that or not. She probably has some inkling of it, but then again Sammy was put under that blood pact thing by Vanessa and likely hasn't been home much at all for ages. You head for the serving line.

“I'll grab the food, be right back.”

You head for the line and let them chat for a moment, trying to clear your own head. You've already stressed Sammy out considerably today, and now Jennifer is going to lay out some facts for her that she might not take well. It's also the night after the full moon. You have no idea if Sammy is going to run off crying or not, and if she does, what you're going to do about it. The whole point of bringing Jennifer to school was to keep her safe by being with her, and if you chase after Sammy it might devolve into you breaking your promise not to take advantage of her. Highly emotional, pent up, in need of comforting... It's a perfect storm.
>>
You collect the steaks, each served in a little plastic box with mashed potatoes, gravy and green beans, as well as a few sodas, and carefully load everything into a couple of plastic bags. You head back over to Jennifer and Sammy just in time to overhear something about something being “bigger than expected”, and as you walk closer you can see Jennifer holding her phone. It is, upon consideration, kinda bulky.

“I've got the meals, let's head on out.”

Sammy smiles and moves to your side, hugging your arm and leaning on you a bit, and Jennifer takes the other side. Sammy gives her a slightly confused look, and Jennifer shrugs a bit.

“He's a handsome young man and he escorted me here. If it's a problem, I'll let go.”

Sammy shakes her head.

“Nope, no problem. I guess I was just wondering about it.”

You start to walk with them, trying to work out how you're going to resolve this mess without hurting anyone. There's no obvious way, but there's got to be a solution somewhere. You spend the walk to the roof in silence while Sammy and Jennifer resume their discussion, and when you get there Sammy releases you and picks out a spot to sit down. You sit down beside her, with Jennifer once again getting comfortable at your other side, and you unpack the food and drinks while taking in the view of the night sky. It really is lovely tonight.

We can't be perfect all the time, anon. But so far we've been good when it really matters.
>>
You turn your attention to your meal and dig in. The steak is so good. So good. It's so good, in fact, that you have a hard time following the conversation. Not that that's a bad thing, for the most part it's just pleasant conversation about things like the moon, the quality of the meal, Sammy's studies and the state of the clan. Your evidence is brought up, and Sammy comments on how useful it is. They even reconnect a bit more, discussing Jennifer's plan regarding Mark. She even apologizes for setting things up that way, but says she trusted Sammy to find a way around it.

As you finish up your steak the conversation slowly grows more serious, and you let things unfold naturally. Jennifer transitions the topic to Patrick, and you swallow your last bite right as Jennifer begins explaining what's going on with them, barely listening as you savor the morsel. She opens with a fairly vague but pretty blunt outline of the situation, that she hasn't really loved Patrick during their marriage, that he's been doing some things while shifted that she doesn't approve of, and that until recently he didn't even know what he was doing. Maybe you should have been listening, or interrupted her...

When you look at Sammy, you don't see the person you were expecting. The Sammy you know wouldn't be glaring daggers at Jennifer, wouldn't be standing up to her at all. She rises to her feet slowly, her body tense, shifting as far as her body will allow. Jennifer sits there calmly, watching patiently, as if she expected this response or something close to it.

“You're lying... He... That's what this has all been about... You've been acting nice to me, just to turn me against him... H-How could you...? I thought... This is the last straw! I won't let you talk about him like this! I won't be your tool!”

“Sammy, I was there.”

Sammy turns to look at you, her expression still full of anger.

“What?”

You hesitate for a moment. You're not sure if you can talk your way through this without Sammy just laying into you, and you're not in any state to fight right now. You choose your words carefully as you proceed.

“I saw it with my own eyes today. I...”

You look at Jennifer, who nods, and you rise to your feet slowly. You take off your shirt and reveal your bandages and bruises. Sammy flinches at the sight.

“Today I fought your dad. I had to knock him out to keep him from hurting your mom. He wasn't in control of himself. He didn't realize what he was doing, he never has, Sammy. The only difference was that today I was there to stop him. Your mom isn't lying. Your dad... When he shifts, he's not the same man.”

You can see the denial spread across Sammy's face, the shock of it hitting her hard.

“Y-You're... you're in on it... You're... Why are you believing her lies!? He would never... If you got hit it's only because you tried to get in the way!”

She turns back to Jennifer and lunges at her, fangs bared and claws ready to strike. Jennifer is still just sitting there calmly, her eyes sliding closed as she braces herself.

You jump between the pair, throwing yourself at Sammy and spreading your arms wide. You catch Sammy before she collides with Jennifer, managing to get one foot down before you tip over with her. You can feel her bite down hard on your shoulder, her claws digging into your back, and you hug her tightly, squeezing and shutting your eyes. You can feel her scratching at you as she yanks and tears with her jaws, and then all at once it stops. She lets go suddenly, jumping back as though someone zapped her with electricity.

“I-I...”

She looks down at her hands, covered in your blood, and starts to cry. She looks at you, horrified and shaking.

“I'm sorry...!”

She turns and runs off, leaping from the roof to a lower section and sprinting away. You reach out after her, but your blood loss and human pain tolerance is catching up to you again, and you wobble a bit before your legs give out. Jennifer catches you before you hit the ground, cradling you against herself. All her composure is gone, and she looks petrified.

“You stupid... idiotic... I could have handled it... Don't you dare die on me... Please... Please, Oliver...”

You reach up a cup her cheek.

“I'm not gonna die like this... Just... get me to the nurse's office. Angie will patch me up...”

You feel yourself slipping out of consciousness. Everything goes fuzzy and dark once again. You awaken with a jolt in the nurse's office. There's a mostly-empty blood bag above you, and a tube leading into your arm. Your back feels sore, but there's a soft tingle, and you're pretty sure Angie hooked you up again. You can hear faint snoring far away, and there's a weight on your chest.

You look down to find Angie curled up beside you, head on your chest. She's half shifted, her makeup is a complete mess from crying, and her clothes are stained with your blood and slightly torn in places. She doesn't stir when you wake up, except to hold you a little bit tighter, as though afraid you'll disappear.

You gently pet Jennifer, stroking her hair and toying with her ears a bit. She leans into your touch and slowly opens her eyes. Her tail wags slowly and she sits up a bit.

“How are you feeling?”

You sit up bit by bit. Your back feels like hell and your shoulder has definitely seen better days, but you're pretty sure that Angie did you another solid.

“Getting there. I've... Alright, I haven't really had worse, but it's not as bad as it could be...”

Jennifer nods and helps you to your feet as you make an attempt to stand.

“You need rest... Can you walk?”

You try to balance on your own two feet. It's not easy, but you can manage it. Jennifer moves under your arm and helps support you, letting you lean on her.

“Thanks... I think I can make it to the room just fine, but help is always appreciated.”

Jennifer rubs her eyes a bit, using her sleeve to wipe away her smudged makeup and reverting to human form.

“Not a problem. You had me worried for a bit there. Do you always do stupid things like that and make people afraid for your life, or is this a recent thing?”

You smirk a bit as you head out of the nurse's office with Jennifer, sparing a glance at Angie. She's out cold. You definitely need a bigger bag of chocolate-covered coffee beans now.

“A recent thing. Long story. But it only ever really happens when I'm trying to be a hero and protect people.”

Jennifer nods and gives you a gentle squeeze around the middle.

“...The help is appreciated. That's twice you've risked your well-being for my sake.”

You nod and let the conversation trail off. You've got enough blood in you to stand up and walk around, but you still feel just a little out of it. With your magic you can manipulate your blood to compensate a bit, but it takes all of your concentration just to keep yourself at “functional”.
>>
When you reach your room you take a moment to take stock of things. Sammy needs you right now. At the very least, she needs somebody. You aren't really sure what to do though, aside from finding her and hoping for the best. Jennifer starts to remove your shirt to get you changed and you turn away, heading for the door.

“I... I've gotta find Sammy first. You should sleep, you need your rest. I'll be alright.”

Jennifer grabs your arm and pulls you to a stop. Her expression turns neutral and icy once again, trying to take control of the situation.

“If you think I'm letting you go out there to get killed right now... You reek of blood, you can barely walk... If anyone needs rest, it's you.”

You pull your arm hard but she stays latched onto you, so you yank roughly, twisting your arm to try to break her grasp. In human form her grip strength is marginal at best, and you stumble back a bit as you finally get free of her. Jennifer just stands there, looking at you. Her facade of control crumbles away, and she steps forward, the fear apparent on her face.

“If you leave, I'm all alone. And if I go with you, I'll be fighting to protect you. Neither of us can go out there looking for her right now. You don't think I'm worried either? The clan will protect her, and so will Mark's, they'll keep an eye on her. Right now... all we can do is wait. Please... please don't go out there...”

You pause for a moment, before sighing. She's right.

“I'll stay. I'm... I won't look for her tonight. I'm sorry for worrying you, I'm just scared.”

Jennifer nods.

“So am I... but Sammy is a clever girl. She'll manage...”

She releases you and heads for her bags, rummaging through them. You pull out your phone and send Sammy a text message, which your phone heavily doctors before your eyes. You were making a few typos and errors, and your phone corrects them for you and expands on what you wrote, turning your simple notice that you're alright and you're worried about her safety into a short letter about your recovery, how you hope that she's safe and that you want to talk to her when she gets the chance.

You then send a message to Meliora asking her to do you a solid. You give her Sammy's phone number and ask her to find her and keep the vampires at bay. If nothing else, she'll survive the night. You don't exactly trust Meliora to be the one to make her feel like she's not a monster, but maybe by some miracle it'll do the trick. You set your phone down and walk over to see what Jennifer is up to.

On the couch are a few different outfits. The sweater and skirt she was wearing earlier, a silk nightie with matching panties, and a button-up with jeans. Jennifer glances at you and gestures to the clothes, straightening them up a bit.

“I was trying to decide what to wear to bed. I was going to go with the nightie to be a tease, but... I'll leave the decision up to you. I don't want to make you uncomfortable right now, and the games we've been playing aren't games on a night like this. So it's up to you what happens.”

You smile a bit.

"Wear whatever you want. Whatever you're comfortable falling asleep in."

Jennifer nods and starts unbuttoning her suit, and you head for the bathroom to wash up a bit. You take off your shirt and examine your injuries. They're almost fully healed, and you're starting to not feel so dizzy anymore. You have a drink of water to help replenish your fluids and head back out into your room to find Jennifer in the nightie, packing her bags up again.

You really don't have enough blood to be thinking, standing and staring at her in that outfit, so you head for your bed and lay down. Jennifer walks over and climbs into bed beside you, curling up against your side and shifting halfway once more. You slip an arm around her and close your eyes.

It's the last night of the full moon, and Jennifer is fighting every instinct she has not to try to jump you. She's probably just as pent up as you, if not more. Every chance she's gotten to vent has been interrupted in the worst way. You glance at her, stroking her back, and she gives you a small smile.

Someone finally caught me shitposting! Have your grand prize of a Swagalicious frog.

You give Jennifer a kiss on the forehead and try to get some sleep. You already know you're going to be dreaming of her, and you already know what Angie is going to do. Laugh, probably, and get you lucid enough to control the dream. She'll probably coyly offer you privacy with dream-Jennifer and leave you with your thoughts to do as you like.

As you slip onto sleep you feel Jennifer shifting, sighing contentedly. You squeeze her slightly and let yourself drift away. You hear Angie laughing before you see her, becoming aware of your dream midway through a steamy encounter in Jennifer's room before it got ruined. You simultaneously love and hate your imagination right now.

"Sorry, did I interrupt?"

Angie walks over to the bed, sitting on the edge as you untangle yourself and imagine some clothes, dismissing the dream of Jennifer.

"Nothing too important. Teenage hormone things."

Angie nods and points her thumb at the door.

"There's a weird werewolf monster girl out there. I came by and saw it and figured I'd cut in before this turns into a nightmare."

You nod slightly.

"You didn't see anything. Promise, or I'm dumping the coffee beans into the toilet."

Angie pouts a bit, before smirking and poking your nose.

"Don't worry. I see all kinds of crazy things in dreams. They don't always make sense. Like the monster girl. I bet you know someone who did something bad to you today, and your mind is just trying to adjust to the idea that they did it. And since it looks like Samantha Wolfe, my shot in the dark is that she went wild on you."

You nod a bit and sigh.

" Very observant."

Angie shakes her head.

"Nah, I'm messing with you. Her mom told me what happened. We've got a deal going. You're not the first person she's attacked. Part of the problem with being a runt is that she can't help herself sometimes. Plus her curse is weird. I think she gets that from her dad."

Angie looks away and whistles.

"So I didn't spy on you, promise, but I saw it in Sammy's dream. That little encounter you had where she wasn't herself? Same deal. She enjoyed the pleasure, but she checked out a bit. And unfortunately that's going to keep happening until she gets cured. You picked a real fixer-upper."

She leans back and looks up at you from the bed.

"The question is, can you handle it? Your unconscious doesn't know yet, hence the dreams. Shall I leave you to it?"

>May as well. I'm lucid, I'll enjoy myself while my brain processes this.

>>44145481

>>44145468
Fixing Sammy's condition is probably up there with bringing our parents back in terms of difficulty.

I mean, just putting a control whammy on her is going to cost more than we're willing to pay, according to QM. Honestly, our best bet is probably to make sure she's okay and then stay at a distance til she's dealt with it herself.
>>
>>44145392
>Nah, stick around. I need to ask you something anyway
Get her to elaborate on what she means by Sammy's curse being weird, and whether by curing she means the lycanthropy itself or if there's some way to just fix the weird bit. Also inquire if any hypothetical solution to her weird curse could fix her dad's issues as well.
>>
>>44145546
>Fixing Sammy's condition is probably up there with bringing our parents back in terms of difficulty.
We have no idea what difficulty it is or what kind of magic would be best, and I highly doubt it would be as difficult as raising the dead, but we have no information on this shit, and lose nothing by asking.

>just putting a control whammy on her is going to cost more than we're willing to pay, according to QM.
And we have no idea about that cost in-character, nor any real reason to suspect that an indefinite mind control spell and a spell to fix a mind would be at the same level.

>Honestly, our best bet is probably to make sure she's okay and then stay at a distance til she's dealt with it herself.
So ignore the problem and do nothing about it? Yeah, I'm sure you don't have any kind of ulterior motive for saying that.
>>
>>44145559

>>44145392
>She enjoyed the pleasure, but she checked out a bit.
^Talking about her attacking us, it seems. We need clarification.
She has the same curse as her dad in that she just completely let's go and has no control, unlike normal werewolves.

We'll need far more power to deal with that, so we should pump Angie for information. We should conjure up our notes on magic and try to get info on necromancy (it's as difficult as blood magic, supposedly) and on which style she thinks we should focus on at first.
>>
>>44145630
>So ignore the problem and do nothing about it?
No, tell her we're there for her but keep our distance while she comes to terms with the fact that she enjoyed cutting loose, even though it nearly killed us.

Learning a part of you is that dark and savage isn't something you deal with over a cup of tea across from your victim.
>>
>>44145630
>fix a mind
Reread what Angie said, it's the exact same thing her dad has, only Sammy apparently remembers what she did, and the part that was in control took a savage joy in it.
>>
>>44145767
It's still tied to something weird in her curse that we can hopefully fix with only a ridiculous degree of difficulty instead of a ludicrous or absurd degree. If she still enjoys savagery afterwards, that's fine (and probably normal for werewolves to be honset), the main point is to make it so she can control herself fully instead of having fits of lost control like her dad does.
>>
>>44145767
Couldn't sleep, come back to find you guys on the wrong track. Angie was talking about the fooling around. Any time Sammy gets worked up enough to feel the desire for intimacy, her mind will check out. She'll remember after, but she won't have any control and won't be able to say no once she reaches that state.

Yes, this means Angie saw Sammy's wet dream about it.
>>
>>44145933
Ah, well that means in the heat of the moment she can't be willing, huh?
>>
>>44145962
She would be very willing in the moment. It's before and after that are the trick bits.
>>
>>44145962
More like she gets horny enough anyone will do.

>>44145933
Angie have an idea as to the cause?
>>
>>44145979
So get her to establish how far she's willing to go when she's sane, then make sure you don't go beyond that no matter how she acts later on.
>>
>>44145933
BTQM, you're really trying to fuck with the people who waifued Sammy, huh? We literally can't be with her without raping her.

I'm only slightly surprised, and I think it's a good twist.

Maybe their line is tainted by a lust demon or something?

>Cuddles Jennifer closer.

>>44145933
>Couldn't sleep

>>
>>44146059
The only breach in control we've had that could be written up as due to hormones so far was still far more controlled than any normal teenager.
>>
>>44146097
That's because anons keep metagaming to preserve their waifuism. >>44144944
Was even calling us out on it. We haven't played Oliver that well at all. At least the anon who kept suggesting we abandon our quest goals entirely finally shut up.
>>
>>44146017
Maybe cursed by a major vamp house?
>>
>>44146138
Maybe Oliver has a glandular problem. Maybe he's just more in control than a normal teenager. There's nothing out of character about Oliver's behavior, because his behavior is establishing his character on this.
>>
>>44146201
Given he's had to hunt kill steal and blend in to survive, Oliver is probably fairly in control. Also I couldn't see him being in a state to fill around with Jennifer. If he wasn't mauled and his friend wasn't hurting he'd likely at least make out, but as it stood? Nope.
>>
>>44146201
Again, QM called us out on being unrealistic. So stop being so prudish. Oliver isn't some paladin, he's trying to become a powerful vampire to defy one of the basic laws of the cosmos. He's not a villain, but he's no hero.
>>
>>44145979
BTQM, if you're still here, take a look at that first note on the doc file I sent you on twitter. I need a decision on that before the rewrites and edits can start.
>>
>>44146284
I doubt Oliver wants to hurt a friend, paladin or monster, and you'd be surprised how much more control that can give someone. I'm not going to accept the QM's opinion as an absolute solely because he's the QM - his thoughts have no inherent value over yours to me.
>>
>>44146237
Read his back story again. In general, he should be used to people leaving his life. He might be a bit more determined to help her than normal, due to sticking around, but he won't have the blind loyalty or suburban morals people keep trying to give him.

>>44146310
This isn't minecraft, it's more like a telltale adventure game. QM's opinion does have more inherent value, just like every other quest on this board, because it's their story to tell, we're just interacting with it.
>>
>>44146386
>he won't have the blind loyalty or suburban morals people keep trying to give him.
Seems like he does at this point, unless you're okay with making the MC schizophrenic
>>
>>44146438
I'd rather people start tempering their choices with consideration of his back story, instead of making this yet another generic /tg/ self-insert. Every quest ends up making the same choices, because a few lurkers get upset when every single character doesn’t embody the sane values.
>>
>>44146438
I'm >>44146505 not talking about a complete 180, but things like this self-destructive devotion to a girl we've known 3 days just don't seem reasonable.

>>44146201
And Oliver's been established as a healthy, physiologically normal, 17 year old boy.
>>
>>44146505
>the sane values
What a typo.

>>44146527
With an incredible level of self-control, apparently.

Also:
>Not fucking Jennifer
>Self-destructive
Okay.
>>
>>44146386
Not that anon, but I view it is as more of a cooperative effort between QM and Players, rather than one being inherently above the other. I also dislike when a QM takes a side in an argument, and prefer it when they try to seem objective, only interfering in player arguments for the sake of clarification, reminding people about things they already know, etc.

I tolerate it when QM's act in ways other than my preference, because that's just polite, but mocking one's own players, especially for a default option, is completely over the line as far as I'm concerned.
>>
>>44146540
>>Self-destructive
>at death's door, both literally and metaphorically
>I must find Sammy, never mind that I can barely walk, and literally couldn't walk back to my room unaided.

That's the self destructive obsession, anon. How do you not see that?

I get it, Sammy's your fapbait, but seriously, stop screwing up the story over your obsession with a broken werewolf.
>>
>>44146593
Then why bother contributing to the quest at all? If you're here specifically to derail it, then isn't that crossing far more of a line?
And the QM has made it clear before that this quest is more or less on rails, we're just hitting switches along the way. Which is fine, it's just like a choose your own adventure book. But it's not a sandbox.
>>
>>44146597
One anon mentioned in an early thread that Oliver might wind up being devoted to his friends specifically because, as far as we know, he's never actually had any before, and that stuck with me. It wasn't about Sammy in particular but that a friend was in pain and possibly danger.

>stop screwing up the story over your obsession with a broken werewolf.
Whether anything done at any point is screwing up the story is an opinion.
>>
>>44146657
>might wind up
If weeks or months had passed, I'd be fine with this, as it's character development, but this is the end of day 3, in game. It's absurd to give him that level of devotion at this point.
>>
>>44146676
And even more absurd to only show it to one npc.
>>
>>44146676
That's a common problem in quests with this style done by amateurs. Lots of shit happens in rapid succession, none of it is given proper time to develop, as a result, everything winds up feeling too rushed. It would've been better if there was a 2-3 week period of accelerated time between the two werewolf parties.

>>44146701
I don't think we've only been showing it to one NPC. We interfered when Jennifer was getting raped in spite of knowing her for like a day and it being as risky if not moreso.
>>
>>44146645
>Then why bother contributing to the quest at all?
Because you can like someone's work without liking them as a person and you can hope people will change with time.

>If you're here specifically to derail it, then isn't that crossing far more of a line?
I'm not here to derail it? Not entirely sure how you got that from my post.

>And the QM has made it clear before that this quest is more or less on rails, we're just hitting switches along the way.
I don't remember that, but regardless, I don't have a severe problem with that in-and-of itself. I was mainly just using this as an excuse to vent about how mocking one's own players for hitting a deliberately placed switch whose presence is necessary is kind of an awful way for a QM to behave.
>>
>>44146711
I'd blame it on the anons deciding to join in without bothering to read the story summery.

And I'm not protesting the defending people in trouble, that vigilante attitude makes passable sense with our background. I'm protesting the whole "Sammy is our one true love" attitude.
We have (effectively) a geas on us to bring back our parents. It's our driving motivation, and was the driving force behind all of our major decisions. Sammy's curse is small change compared to that. We'll probably be able to help her on the way, but it's not our primary motivation for anything.

We need to get to a point where we can time warp a couple weeks forward.
>>
>>44146775
>is kind of an awful way for a QM to behave.
The illusion of choice needs to be there, I suspect QM thought more of his anons were normal-ish people. He's made it pretty clear the lewds with Jennifer aren't going away, as even with the do nothing choice, we dreamed about fucking her, and our subconscious views Sammy as a monster.
A discerning anon would take that as a hint to the way the QM wants that part of the story to go.
>>
>>44146843
Eh, that can be attributed to the subconscious not really paying attention to anything beyond base instinct, one being curled up next to us after continuously coming onto us while the other had attacked us earlier that day. Keeping in mind, dreams are just a way for the brain to organize a day's events.
>>
>>44146843
I'm really not a fan of this QM's inability to learn, because I'm pretty sure anons yelled at him for doing similar shit in the previous quest, and then he did more of that later anyway, and now again.
>>
>>44146896
Well, then perhaps the anons that don't like it shouldn't join his quests. I prefer it, as it makes more sense to me with the limitations imposed by this format.
>>
>>44146972
