Before the thread starts today, check this out! https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL7B3FB937EAFF781D Lots of interesting information for use in this thread

"Well..." Mesut considers it for a moment, then seems to have an idea. A smile spreads over his face as he nods, rubbing his chin. "Yes... Yes, this could actually work! Hah and with plants, it's not like you have to run after the things; you can just sit around and wait for them to grow." It's not quite that simple, but his acceptance seems a good sign. "Very well. I'll support your odd plan, but on one condition: My family will be the ones to tend to the harvest and portion out the seeds. Agreed?"
"Agreed!" That seems a small price to pay for the support of possibly the most influential man in the clan who's not over the hill. You shake on it and share meat for the rest of the evening, before heading home full of roast aurochs beef and hope for the future.

You wake the next day, to an unfamiliar smell. As you sit up, you find Beren grinning smuggly by the fire, with a stack of something round, white and a little bit burned next to her.
"I found something interesting," she purrs, clearly more pleased with herself that you've ever seen before. Sera, seeing you're awake, grabs the top circle and runs over to you, folding it over and holding it up.
"Da! Open wiiiide!" You warily oblige and she pushes the folded... Thing between your teeth. Its taste is unfamiliar... Savory, light and wholesome.
"What do you think?" Beren asks. "I mixed that flour with some water and of the fat from the last herd you slaughtered. I think it came out rather well, although it could maybe do with some kind of filling..."

Beren has discovered how to make unleavened bread; tortillas, in fact!

Nice. From hunter-gatherers to agriculturists and bakers in one generation. Probably will still be a long time before we know about leavened bread, but still, we're like a thousand years ahead of everyone else right now.

I have to say, I'm somewhat worried about giving Mesut control over farming. That could really shift the balance of power into his favor.

With a good roll to convince?

We fucked up.

Mesut is going to be chieftain with the control of food distribution FFS !

We really should partition land, and get a larger family.

Why? Becoming chief doesn't really sound in character and would just be another layer of responsibilities keeping us from exploring.
>>
>>44231957
I think we should to more of the dirty with the River Spirit and find a way to be with her in the afterlife, becoming a guardian ancestor of sorts
>>
>>44232144
We should have more kids with Nila. Both because they might end up being special, and because we need a massive family.
>>
>>44232380
Ok, we should defiantly have another....once we can sustain ourselves, damned food issues. I think we should also work on having an otter as the symbol of innocence (like our lost son, the Silver Otter)
>>
>>44232380
Why do we need a massive family? There's still things to see in this world and places to discover.
>>
With Mesut's aid secured, you go through the next few days with a glad heart, made all the gladder, as your bribery of the wolves keeps going well. They're practically greeting you now each day as you bring them their scraps. You've managed to figure out that as long as their tails are wagging and their ears are up, you're in no danger from them. You take a risk one day and simply hold out the meat to them... At first, they're reluctant to take it from your hand, but eventually, one comes forward and gingerly takes the treat. Your fingers remain on your hand too, so that's good news. The trust builds, until when you appear, your pack swarms around you, tails wagging and barking happily. They seem to accept your authority too, as two get into a fight over a particularly large hunk of meat and you pull them apart, cuffing them soundly and cutting it in half for them to share. None of the pack objects, so it seems they've finally accepted you as their alpha. All that's left is to test how well they react to other humans.

Elia looks petrified. "This is NOT what I had in mind when you asked for help with one of your ideas, brother-!" he croaks, as the pack circles and sniffs at him. You had to smack a couple of the more aggressive ones who put their ears back and raised their hackles, growling as your brother approached, but they seem to have got the message quickly and are now more curious than hostile. Of course, the side of smoked beef he's holding over his head probably isn't helping matters. You just laugh, as he shrieks like a little girl, falling over backwards as one of the pack jumps up at his front, tongue lolling out and tail wagging, knocking him into one standing behind. The long scream peters out embarrassingly as they completely fail to rip him to shreds and instead chow down on the meat he was carrying.
>>
>>44232468
I agree with this anon. I wanna take Elia and maybe Paku and follow the river downstream for a while, see were it ends
>>
>>44232555
"So!" you ask, once you've helped him back up, "Convinced they aren't going to kill you yet?" You show Elia how to scratch behind their ears, causing the one you're demonstrating on to close its eyes and pant, blissing out and its tail thumping your leg.
"You couldn't have warned me before?" Elia grumbles sullenly.
"Would you have come if I had?"
"True..." Elia sighs and smirks as the wolf presses its head into his hand, unwilling to let the head-scritches vanish. "Alright, they kind of grow on you, once you get over the panic."
"Yeah, I think they can smell fear," you shrug. "But they're very obedient. Damn useful too! Can you imagine hunting with a pack of these?"
Elia's face lights up. Between his sling and a pack of wolves to do his bidding, his prospects have just jumped suddenly.
"Not to mention watching the village, keeping other wolves at bay, keeping warm on cold nights..."
"Emergency food..."
You swat your brother around the back of his head. "After all I went through to get them to trust me? Are you crazy?"

The pack's introduction to the village, as you both bring them back, goes about as well as expected. There's screaming, panic, a few issues as all the new sights and smells get introduced to the wolves, then gradual curiosity and slow acceptance, mostly among the children, whom the wolves immediately take to well. Once you finally take a count, you discover you now have fifteen wolves, most male, but a few female, eagerly sticking their noses everywhere and making a nuisance of themselves. You can't tell if Beren's impressed, or furious, as she has to hang all the meat higher where the dogs can't get at it. Oddly enough, even the elders seem to accept the dogs after a few days, possibly because they don't get bored when the old men and women start talking, so long as they keep petting the things.
>>
>>44232569
It is now late winter. You have enough food to last your family until spring. Thanks to their being everywhere, your new dogs manage to get tidbits from everyone and so are not a huge drain on your resources. You think they're even hunting small animals themselves now...

Why are we calling them dogs?

They are still wolves. Just clan/tribe wolves.

No reason to call them dogs. Also keeps a bit of their connection to Soqed alive so it could be quite a good idea, since he wants to learn from us, no? He is in some ways ok to be partly adopted if he keeps in touch with these wolves...

Maybe something about fertility or good hunts?

Harvest? while summoning think if plants growing, think of wheat in the fields, think of fertile soils. Never know if it's male "fertility" and the river "female" they may hook up giving us a hyper fertile river and place to grow food?
>>

I feel like that might be an insult to him at this point, he is still after all a spirit of the wolves and the hunt.

I agree with the harvest idea, probably would end up being some sort of transformation of a spirit of the plants in the first place.

>>
In the depths of winter, as you lay beside the fire, pleased with your doings for the clan so far, Nila's words slowly return to you and make you frown. There's so much more in the world that you do not yet understand. Nila and Soqed are just two parts of it, but there's hints at so much more. There's creatures, beings of great power out there in the world somewhere and they could prove either friends or foes. Soqed has been both and Nila nearly was too. That was when they were new to humans and probably still weak... If you don't miss your guess, Soqed has become much, much, MUCH stronger since he took human form; you can tell just in the way he moves, how his eyes look and when you hear one howl on the night wind that chills you more than the others.

That danger has to be known. What you are unaware of can and WILL kill you, as you know very well. And besides, while you've done great things for your clan so far, they're nothing truly revolutionary. Plants and dog-wolves? Who's going to remember who did THAT in a few generations. But the Other Beings... That's altogether different. A smile splits your lips as you rub the head of the nearest dog and roll over, closer to your sleeping wife. Tomorrow, you will seek them out, for the first time on purpose.

You take as much food as you can carry. Fire flints, spear and sling... A set of tools to fix what stone and wood you break... Beren waits by the entrance to your hut, her white fur cloak pulled close around her as she stands at the threshold of home and wild. "You have a look about you," she notes, "As if you want to go and do something foolish again."
"Have I ever died yet?" you ask, pulling her close, letting her fold the cloak around you both and holding your beloved, cunning wife against your chest.
"No," Beren admits. "But I sometimes worry you think too little on the dangers of the world."
>>
>>44234955
Ill come back, one way or another. Give each kid a kiss. Say to Mesut what we are doing, shake his hand and wish him luck while we are away. Begin our quest
>>
>>44234955
She rests her head against your shoulder briefly and sighs, before standing straight again. "Don't die, Trym. Noh will need you as he grows and the girls would miss their father."
"Are you going somewhere, daddy?" asks Sera, seemingly appearing from no-where inside the hut. "Where are you gooooiiiiing? I want to come along too!" At eight years old now, Sera shows every trace of her mother's hooked, sharp features and strikingly dark sheen of hair, but takes after you, a proud and hawkish hunter of the clan in the making.
"Daddy's going strange places," says her sister, quietly. "Are you going to see mommy, da?"
You squat down and pull your two daughters into a hug. Ebba is as uncanny and watchful as her sister is active and her flowing, fair hair and amber eyes clearly mark her as different to anyone ever born from your clan. "I'm not going to see your mommy, Ebba," you reply, "But I'm going looking for some of her friends."
"Be careful," she whispers. "They're strong."
"But your daddy's stronger," you assure her, standing and placing a hand on both their heads, as if they were a pair of dog-wolves.

The pack makes ready to go with you, but you gesture with your hand. "No," you tell them imperiously. "Stay! On guard." Teaching them all to understand your voice and commands is slow going, but they seem to get the idea of 'no' at least. You click your tongue at two of them and they eagerly spring up, padding to your side. It'd be foolish to go without anyone at your side, after all.
"Be safe," Beren says again, kissing you before vanishing to see to Noh's squalling cries. "Elia's a good man, but I trust you to look after us more than him." Ever plain-talking, your woman... Still, even though you never planned for it, you've grown to love her and she you, even if she shows it in small ways.
>>
>>44235096
You stop briefly to tell Mesut where you are going, before you leave. He's perplexed and frowns deeply. "Wandering off into the valley in the middle of winter? Trym, you've lost your mind at last, haven't you?"
"It's not like I'll be alone." You gesture to the two dogs who are play-fighting behind you. Mesut's frown lightens only slightly.
"Hmmh. Don't die, Trym," he sighs. "I'm only one voice. I need yours, if the clan's not going to eat itself to death."
"I don't mean to let everyone down by dying just yet," you laugh back. You pat one another's backs before you leave. The stranger's custom has really caught on among the hunters in your clan, partly due to Mesut using it so much. Paku too bids you farewell, with the long acceptance of someone used to your flights of fancy.

The quiet solitude of the valley in winter is something you're used to, but have grown to miss, staying in the small village so much. The heavy padding of your dog-wolves, the crunch and squeak of snow under your feet and the distant calling of birds seeps into your soul and wraps around you. You are one with the winter landscape, pressing over it in search of something. You don't know what it is, but you'll know it when you find it. And find it you do. A week out from the village, within the borders of one of the light forests that dot the valley, you find... A place. You don't know what it is about the place that feels different, but it does. Your dog-wolves refuse to come close, instead tucking their tails between their legs and laying on their bellies. The air tastes different. pacing it out, it's an indistinct shape, maybe six or seven paces in diameter and at times, you can almost feel yourself slipping, tugged by something that's not quite a wind that plucks at your limbs and hair.

>This is a long one..!

>>44232468
>>44232557
Because we won't always be around. This is a multigenerational quest, Trym WILL die and the QM has said one wrong decision and our whole line could die out, ending the game.

Can you see why a massive family is a benefit now? Trym's adventures are temporal compared to that and we need to strike a balance. So yes, massive family.
>>
>>44235096
Goddamn right I have. Maybe it's the hopeless neurotically asocial husk of a man I've become, but there's something about a simple, plain, honest woman and a love that you grow into gradually that just appeals to me. Makes all the other tales of grand loves and harems seem kinda flat in comparison, like eventually all of us can choose to love whoever we can find because we're tired of being alone. Like maybe there's a plainfaced pudgy little woman who'll put up with our bullshit out there for all of us.

... Christ, I either need to drink more or less.
>>
>>44235437
We already have two children that survived past infancy. Our line is practically guaranteed to survive until the next generation.
>>
>>44235413
You lift your nose, sniffing at the air as one of these not-breezes drifts past. You smell the scent of aromatic wood in summer, out of place amid the snow and cold around you.

"What are you doing?" Soqed asks, sounding exasperated and a little uncomfortable to find you here. He rubs a thumb over a knot on his spear's shaft, yellow eyes narrows as he stares at you.
"Looking for something," you reply. "I think I found it."
"Right. And now you've found it, what will you do with it?" the wolf presses.
"I think I'll call," you decide. "I came here looking for a place that feels different... Where I can find you and others."
Soqed snorts, seemingly amused. An appropriately wolfish grin graces his face as he sits down. "Well go on then," he chuckles. "This should be interesting indeed, human. Call out."

From your bag, you produce the geode that Nila gave you. Soqed's eyes widen as he sees it glow, but he says nothing, as you sit, your legs folded in front of you and hold the geode between your hands. This treasure is strange; a piece of a world you don't understand. It makes sense that it'd be useful now. You tale a deep breath and think. You feel the land beneath you, every step of the journey here burning in the land and slowly fading to cold. The forest, the valley, the river, the beasts... Everything has an echo very briefly in your mind. You can't see them and you don't really know them, but you know they are there. Like a silent wave, your call ripples out over the land and as one, you feel a response. Looking up, figures enter the small clearing and your breath catches in your chest. Maybe this wasn't such a good idea.

A shambling mountain of a bear is first to appear, looking angry at being roused from its winter slumber. It stands as tall as a tree on its hind legs and when it falls forward, the ground shakes. Next is a lordly stag, the same figure you once glimpsed in the winter snow and darkness just before you met and fought Soqed. Nila is, blessedly, a familiar and friendly face, but the falcon as big as a deer is NOT. Neither is the feeling you get that is as inscrutable as the forest itself, nor the one as tall as the mountains. A great snake hisses, coiling down from one of the trees, loath to touch the cold ground, banded with marks that match no serpent you know. The 'sensations' materialise, seemingly stepping out of the world itself; one a mass of walking wood and leaves that slowly changes before your eyes, growing gradually more human and matching Nila's proportions and stature. The other is more male, content with being a great mass of stone that only vaguely resembles a man, hunched and walking as much on its knuckles as its feet and the only features on its craggy face being two eyes that pierce like stars in the night sky.

The stag, proudest of all those present, steps forward, looking down on you in a way that makes you very aware of the twelve points of each of its antlers. "You called," it says, its voice deep and immediately commanding respect. It doesn't have the difficulties that Soqed first had either. "You called rudely, human and short-lived. Some of us slept, others were far from here. Some have not come at all. Why then have you called us, as if you were an equal. We here would seldom willingly share such space, so tell us what human reasons you had."

>Your mystical call to the spirits of the valley has earned you a point of Spirit!
What do you say in response?

Now that I have it seemed to me rude not to call, and not to tell you that I, and humans have begun to see you. I know not weather others have seen you before, but there are no stories of it, so I think not.

So, hello. I am Trym. Who are you?

We can promise that we personally will share and that we will advise our kin and tribe to share. Whether they do or not is up to them.

Never make promises for other people, especially people not yet born.

Drop the promise for others and we are golden.

>>
>>44236134
>>44236134
Hell if Trym ascendes to spirit, perhaps not make it a promise but a indication. Not promise but a like to share.

In the idea that the more we spread some knowledge we learned the more others will have a chance to learn and find something new and spread it back around so we can know more again.
>>
>>44236148
this is fine. we're not really freaking out as much as discussing a meeting of the third kind.
>>
>>44236134
I kind of want to make a pact though, I don't think they are going to buy into an empty promise. I'm thinking like covenant with god, with us being Abraham
>>
Are going to become the world's first shaman?
>>
>>44236148
Probably go with honest and straightforward desire to know more, meet the neighbors and try to treat on a equal level. After all we did spend a lot of time with Nila and Soqed and while more than human they still can be exceeded in some aspects, even tough they exceed us in others.
>>
>>44236174
I think we're coming across as too irreverant if we try to act like we are all too buddy buddy. This >>44236009
Is the reverance and respect we should be going for
>>
>>44236188
I really don't want that. More like trade with spirits. tit for tat and all that. A equal level of standing is better since obvious they are not a omnipotent or seemingly omnipotent entity. Hell we can best them in some ways.

A covenant is massively to our disadvantage.
>>
>>44236213
No! We are not their equal, that's ludicrous and will likely offend them
>>
>>44236215
uhh I replied to RWB on the "general tone" question.
>>44235817
was my suggestion.
>>
>>44236250
True, we are not. But in the same way they are not our equal either. They have limitations that humans do not have, and humans have limitations that they do not have.

So as a compromise lets call it equal, and not put us or them above the other.

We did not kneel to Nila or Soqed we sure as hell wont kneel to others.
>>
>>44236248
But we fucking aren't equals, they are more powerful then us and our only offering is our knowledge.
>>
>>44236290
No, that is not a good idea at all, and just because they are limited in domain now doesn't mean they won't grow more powerful as pounted out by our observation with Soqed
>>
>>44236290
but we killed Soqed on our first meeting and the only reason Nila didn't kill us is because we stopped Elia from picking up some valuables.
>>
>>44236290
But we should show respect. These beings have the power to fuck us and our tribe up royally.
>>
>>44236290
And Soqed came back and is more powerful then ever. They are the ones holding the cards, not us
>>
>>44236290

Well we haven't knelt to either of them but we have been leaving them offerings and praying to at least Nila to control the rivers.

They're nature spirits, I'm not arguing that we immediately fall to our knees in front of them but at the same time we can very, very, very easily die in this situation and not just us. If we actually piss off the majority of them then our clan is fucked as well. They have control over the forces that allow us to continue to live.
>>
>>44235817
Seconded.
>>
>>44236248
A covenant is not a massive disadvantage if we gain massive boons for honoring it
>>
>>44236248

You look up into the lordly stag's eyes. Though it may not possess the strength of the bear, or Soqed's vicious, predator's cunning, the spirit of the Stag is by far the most regal and impressive of the creatures here. It carries itself with dignity and within those deep, brown eyes is power; the kind of power you seek, respect and fear in almost equal measure. It's the kind of gaze that renders you insignificant, by the strength of the years its seen. You know that this stag, whether you killed it or not, has seen more years than your clan can remember and will see many more yet. Just as you take a breath to respond however, you are interrupted by a clatter of wings and you see the hawk hang its head in a very human expression of exasperation.

"Am I too late? I'm too late aren't I? What did I miss?" A large crow, not quite the size of the hawk, but still respectable enough to carry off a wolf, if it set its mind to it.
"I thought we agreed I was in charge of the birds," groans the hawk. You're astonished by how much of a human tone it can get, as if speaking through gritted teeth, despite having only a beak to use.
"Yeah and I thought I agreed your mother roosted soft-shelled eggs," retorts the crow. "Get plucked, you over-stuffed pigeon! I do what I want!"
The hawk takes a swipe at the annoying black bird with its wickedly sharp beak, but the crow merely hops into the air and flaps to the next branch up.
"Missed!" it caws in what you're sure is its most aggravating tone. "You'll have to get up earlier than that to catch this worm!"
"Just... Stop talking!" sighs the hawk, covering its head with one wing. You've never seen a bird somehow manage to blush before.

They were all trying so hard to be regal, ethereal and intimidating, all hoping and sweating that the Crow wasn't going to show up

This is why this is my favorite quest, RWB
>>
>>44237944
The crow meanwhile, has spotted you. "WHAT?!" it squawks, "A HUMAN called us? Oh you're KIDDING me! I had a really nice eyeball I was enjoying and I leave it to find a HUMAN has figured out how to use magic?! Urgh, that's not even SLIGHTLY interesting! So come on, hairless! What the hell have you got to say for yourself, hmm? An apology, I should hope! Boring little humans... All you're good for is when you're dead an- AWAAK!"
Un-noticed by the crow, the bear has lumbered over and bent back a branch behind the loud bird. Now it lets go and with a thwup, the springy limb smacks the crow high into the air, where it struggles to right itself and find another perch, this time apparently getting the message that it's to be silent.

There's a moment of quiet, as the gathering tries to regain some of the dignity the crow completely robbed from it. You get the feeling the hawk in particular is utterly mortified by what should be his subordinate's behavior.
You cough quietly. "Uh- I came to understand you," you say, fixing the convocation's attention back on you. You are forces beyond my understanding and that scares my people." It also scares you too, a little... A little more, given how many spirits of power are now surrounding you. "I came to learn. I know I'm not your equal. I'm not as swift as a stag, as strong as a bear, as silent as a snake, as keen as a falcon, as beautiful as the river or as canny as wolf. I'm not as-" You falter a little, glancing over at the two unfamiliar beings that don't take the form of animals, "As eternal as the forest and mountains." You choose not to mention the crow, who now seems to be trying to be as obnoxiously blase about your words as possible, lounging on his branch. "But I CAN learn. I have learned a great many things, but in my heart, I know that there is always more I do not yet know."
>>
>>44238172
"If you will but teach me, I promise that I and those of my blood will share the fruits that come from that knowledge, as well as anything else we learn. This I swear."
"Fine words," sniffs the Stag, "But words are all they are. While I might accept words, especially praise well deserved, I do not hold with empty promises and neither do any of my equals."
"That goes double for me!" the Crow takes the chance to interject. "Blood and meat up front, or you can kiss your eyeballs goodby-"
"THANK you, that's MORE than enough." snaps the Stag.
"Seriously, this is why we don't invite you places," sighs Soqed. "I'm a predator too, but there's a damn limit."
"Ssshow ssssome classs..." the Snake adds.
"Your mother didn't show much class last night," sneers the Crow. "If I wasn't having so much fun up here, I'd already be out. Oy! Human! YOU. ARE. BORING! Since this lot won't say it, I will! If we teach you jack shit, what's in it for us?"

"I think I have an initial offering," coughs the Stag, desperately trying to regain control with quickly-expiring patience. "Names. You gave Soqed and Nila ones. If you give us each a name, we'll teach you a little of what you've managed to bungle your way into. After that, well... You humans leave offerings for Soqed and Nila, don't you? Do the same for us. That's not a request. We will consider what you give and decide if it's worth an answer or a gift. But don't just call and expect us to come, like those..." he casts a glance at your cowering dog-wolves, "Things you took from Soqed."
"I didn't want them in the first place," the wolf-spirit mutters sullenly. He seems to resent the implication that you 'took' anything from him without his will.
>>

Alright alright, I'm up. Counting the votes and writing.

You guys are playing merry hell with my sleep patterns you know... Ah screw it. Worth!

I'm glad at least someone picked up on the Near Eastern influences for naming conventions thus far. I was afraid it'd gone un-noticed... Not that other named aren't just fine, mind you.
>>
>>44242765
Who picked out the influence, might I ask?
>>
You've never been asked to come up with so many names on the fly before, but thinking fast, you throw together words that might fit the figures around you. "Lugal," you start, looking up at the Stag. "Ursa. Emush. Isu. Enki. Ulh." Bear, Snake, Forests and Mountains, then finally Hawk all consider their new names and there's a mute feeling of smug contentment as they each nod, accepting them.
Ursa grunts, making to leave. "Awake winter. Not bad. Name good."
"Ursa, we have our side to uphold," Lugal reminds him. "The names are good and we did agr-"
"You agree," Ursa rumbles, sitting on his haunches and scratching his ear with a massive, blunt paw. Oddly, for the most human of animals, he seems the least interested in language, still using the simple words Soqed first did. "Winter bad. Sleep. Maybe talk when spring. Give fish. Honey better." He snorts in your direction and again drops onto all fours, slowly leaving the meeting.
"AHEM! Aren't you forgetting someone?" butts in the Crow, glaring at you with a beady black eye.
"Ulh speaks for the birds, you belligerent butcher," snaps Lugal, shooting the black bird a look that could freeze fire.
"And I speak for me!" retorts the Crow. "No-one else has a big enough beak to do it! You! Human! Give me a name too!"
You hastily wrack your brains for something and blurt out, "Oh, right, how could I forget you, uhm... Awak?"

"That's a bullshit name and you know it!" the newly-named Awak yells. "You just copied my cry! What next; you name the Aurochs 'Maar'?!"
"Actually that's not bad," you mutter, rubbing your chin. Awak actually falls from his perch amid a torrent of abuse towards your intelligence, parentage and body odor.
"That's it! I can't take this anymore! God, this human's just so dull! I'm out! I hope the lot of you freeze!"
"You're not going to hold up your end of the agreement?" asks Lugal, carefully hiding his relief at seeing the back of the bird.
>>
>>44243163
"The offering is shit!" Awak caws, flapping into the air angrily. "Fuck you, pointy!"
"Pointy?" the regal stag blinks, as Awak makes himself scarce
"I don't believe it," blinks Ulh.
"I think that'sss the firssst time someone'sss got him so angry hisss insssults have got worssse," Emush adds. "At leassst sssince he learned to talk." Now you have a chance to hear the snake's sibilant, almost musical tones, you realise she's most certainly female, or at least styles herself that way.
"At least he's gone now," Ulh sighs. "I am never going to live this down."
"Relax," hisses Emush, "I hardly think the human'sss going to sssay anything unkind about usss, if it wantsss to stay on our good ssside."
"'The human' has a name," Nila at last interjects, "His name is Trym, foremost among his clan. And he's right there too."
Emush turns its head to look at you. If Soqed's eyes were intimidating and Lugal's were commanding, Emush's gaze is downright petrifying. Your limbs seize up and even your chest locks as you struggle to breathe under the watch of her slit-pupiled, turquoise eyes. After a panicked second however, the paralysis lifts and you can breathe again.
"My apologiesss," Emush smirks. "A human with a talent for magic is unusssual indeed. A firssst, if I do not missss my guessss?"

"As long as I can remember," agrees Lugal, "But then, our memories for details like that don't stretch too far, do they?"
"Oh you've at last got to the lesson?" Soqed rolls his eyes. "I was beginning to wander if you just wanted Trym to fall asleep first.
"Why are you even still here?" asks Ulh, "You've already got a name and you spend as much time looking like a human as you do a wolf, these days."
"In case you make another deal while I'm not looking and I get left out," replies the wolf plainly.
"Oh." Apparently Ulh hadn't considered that. You hesitate to make the pun, but could it be he's a bit of a feather-brain? No, he seems intelligent enough, just... 'Flighty'?
>>
Artfag here, I'm on oz so going to sleep now but really keen to draw some more silly stuff for these guys. Fun characters too, and vest of all I'm learning what they look like so I can draw them right
>>
>>44243286
"Names are small things," Lugal begins, "I think it's fair that we each share one truth in exchange-"
"Lying is an ugly habit for you," snaps Nila, stepping to your side and looking unafraid into Lugal's face. That extra height she has on you really helps her not look overwhelmed by the towering stag's stature, but much of it just comes from the way she can speak to him as an equal. "You know what a name does for us; you saw what it did for Soqed and me."
"Wait, what DID it do?" you ask. Nila looks down at you and sighs. She's under no agreement to share knowledge with you, but she likes you enough to do this much freely, especially when she's let something slip in front of you.
"Names are human things," she explains. "They're interesting things; not magic, but not powerless either. Human ideas are odd and strong, but at the same time weak. By giving us names, you give us that same kind of weak strength. I know that doesn't make much sense, but that's because we're still figuring it out ourselves."
"So by giving everyone names..." you start, but Ulh cuts you off.
"You've essentially made us stronger, yes. I wouldn't worry though. It's like comparing a really big rock to a mountain - you're never going to lift either of them. Besides, like Nila said, it's not really 'strength'... It's weird."

"Back to the matter at hand," Lugal coughs. "Names may be important, but you gave them easily. If it's that easy to give away, it's not worth much to you, so we'll each give you one piece of knowledge each in return. I'll start with what we are. We don't die."
"I beg to differ! Spears hurt!" interjects Soqed loudly.
"We don't die PERMANENTLY, you big baby," Lugal snaps back. "You got better, didn't you?"
Soqed lapses into cantankerous grumbling, as the stag sighs in despair at keeping even a trace of his regal bearing throughout this gathering.
>>
>>44243324
Also hang on a sec, I bet each of these guys is one alignment, there are 9 and crow is CN, I'm betting stag is Lawful something, snake may be neutral evil, bear, true neutral...well I'll wait to learn more before I judge
>>
>>44243377
Naaaaw it's ok soqed we know your fearsome and awesome, though tell the stag names are not that easy, while any word can be spoken, for that word to bond with someone then both they and others should accept it. The more who know your name the more powerful it becomes, you are your own names meaning
>>

"We don't die, permanently," he continues, with a pointed look at Soqed, "Because we're not mere animals. We are... 'Spirits' is a good word, but not strong enough... There are spirits of mice, but you don't see them here today, just as there are lesser stags and does. We are the strongest of our people. The others rarely walk where you mortal humans can see them. I am the strongest of deer, the spirit and essence of what it is to BE a deer, just as Soqed is THE wolf, not just A wolf, but what it means to BE one. Understand? Good. We are the mightiest of spirits - gods."

"Asss to 'walking where mortalsss cannot sssee them'," Emush picks up, "We come from another placcce. It isss like thisss world but not. Thisss place is where the barrier isss thin. If you know how, you can crosss and walk in our world - the world of spiritsss. Sssoqed named it sssoon after you gave him hisss name; the True Wild. It isss to this wild world, asss this world isss to your homesss." She looks a little smug. "In other wordsss, I have a ssspecial gift for ssslipping through the boundary."

"As spirits, magic is pretty much everything we are," nods Ulh. Now he's not burdened by Awak, he seems to be regaining some of the majesty of the sky's top hunter; the thunderbolt from the clear sky. You file that title away at the back of your mind; if names are important to them, that might be trade-able later.
"Magic is the ability to command the world," Ulh continues. His voice doesn't have the commanding timbre of Lugal's, but it is deep and sonorous, giving the full impression of his contained power. "You have seen how Emush can freeze you solid, or Nila can command water to move as she wills? That is magic - power slaved to will. Understand a force or a thing and it is easier to command it. For instance, all the sky is my domain. As a human, you have very little power and little understanding, but that crystal holds some of Nila's, doesn't it?"
>>
>>44243503
"You should consider that to be borrowed, human," he continues. "Like water taken from the river. Once it's used, it's used. And it holds no inherent understanding with it- it's merely power. You need to supply the will"

"Of course, if you use it to make something, then it's another story," Nila helpfully picks up. "Like that charm you mentioned to me? That is power caught in something. It goes around and around, into the body of the wearer and back. All living things slowly create power within them, but it's mostly lost. That charm will store what would otherwise be lost, so it can be used almost forever, or until the loop is broken."
"So wait, it's going to get more powerful the more it's worn?" you ask, but Nila shakes her beautiful head.
"No. A crystal can only hold so much and once it's empowered, it cannot be pushed beyond that point until it is utterly depleted. Further, the loop can only hold so much before it too starts to loose power, like a fire throwing out heat."

The animal gods have all spoken, so you look expectantly at Isu and Enki, but the silence stretches out somewhat, before Soqed chuckles.
"Maybe you should try asking them something? They're kind of new to this whole talking thing, so they might be unsure how to start."
The two gods of forest and mountain give the wolf-god a flat glare, as he laughs and holds his hands up.
"Hey, it's not like it isn't true!"

Isu's wooden mouth opens, as she tries to mimic speech. At first, all you hear is a creaking like a tree's branches in a wind, but she slowly gets the hang of it. Even though she looks more human than Enki, bark and leaves still cover her form. While Nila is almost indistinguishable from human, there's no mistaking Isu for anything other than an unusually lively tree, although you do notice her lower body has more in common with grass and earth than the forest trees.
>>
>>44243564
"I... Isu," she finally manages. "I valley. Grow. Long, long time. Big ice long ago. Then animal. Then human." She tries to smile, but with the rough edges of wood around her features, it comes off as creepy, rather than charming. "Never speak. Speak good. Humans, animals, good. Happy. Humans happy too. Good." Well at least she seems nice...
Enki tries next, but with no mouth, it's clear he finds it hard. Finally however, his eyes gleam and you hear his voice rumble out of the stones and ground. "I ENKI." No indoor voice, this one. "I MOUNTAIN. STRONG. ROCK AND STONE, TALL. OLD." The rumbling dies down a little, but he's still a loud voice that challenges anyone to oppose his words. "Older than valley. Old as world. Enki and Isu, both worlds. True Wild and this one. See much. Speak never. Trym first human to speak. Enki speak to humans that speak."
"Trym want true?" asks Isu, her voice (refining by the moment from its croaked start into something softer and more whispering, "Ask. I and Enki give one truth each."

What will you ask these last two spirits?
>>
>>44243615

>>
>>44243615
Shit... This is a hard one.
>>44243653
They've already let slip one important thing. How to make magical items. The magic is already in the geode. All it needs is will just like we did with the healing charm. Focus the magic with our will.
>>
>>44243673
No, we can sustain the magic, but the magic in the stone has to be imbued with a god or spirit's essence in order for a specific effect to work. That's why we got the geode, and why we didn't make another necklace (because Nila's magic would not help with birthing)

Think of it like a re-chargeable battery.

The stone comes pre-charged, then as it expends energy, it gathers the power your body naturally wastes to re-charge.

Nila gave you what's essentially a generic battery, so it can be used for anything. If she's IMBUED it, rather than EMPOWERING it, it'd be easier to use it to, say, manipulate water, but harder to use it for anything else.

Likewise, you can use a generic, 'Empowered' crystal for anything, but it's just the 'basic' requirement for a magic item.
>>
>>44243818
Thanks for the info.
seconding
>>44243744
>>
>>44243818
So for instance when she imbued our stone, it was easier to make a healing charm, correct? So if we got a god to imbue their essence and their domain was fertility, it would be easier to make a charm for child bearing? Basically, they can change the settings of the geode, and we're the power supply?
>>
>>44243841
What? You don't want to know which one can imbue/attune our geode to fertility?
>>
>>44243842
The geode is the power supply and we're programming the geode.
If a spirit imbues a stone with power it's like having hardware specialised for it.
>Nila gave you what's essentially a generic battery
This means everything we did with it was our own doing not aided by Nila.
>>
>>44243860
And we don't have hardware specialized for it. Nila's specialization is not fertility, it's healing.
>>
>>44243853
I don't think these spirits have such power.
> If she's IMBUED it, rather than EMPOWERING it, it'd be easier to use it to, say, manipulate water
This implies that they only have power over their literal domain and not the domains we attribute to them in our world.
>>
>>44243869
What fucking part of GENERIC do you not understand?
Nila gave us an GENERIC battery.
>>
>>44243872
But that's not the case, for instance Nila also has domain over healing hence why the geode imbued with her essence was perfect for making a healing charm.
>>
>>44243885
RIGHT, and that's what I'm fucking getting at. We don't have a stone specialized for anything, hence ASKING for someone to make it non-generic
>>
>>44243890
what part of "Nila gave us a generic battery" do you not understand? She didn't imbue the geode she empowered it.
>>
>>44243902
I know, anon, I am talking about the geode she did imbue the first time. The second geode is generic, I know this, I'm saying we should ask if there's a god to attune it. I'm not saying that the second geode given to us was already attuned to Nila

"I have no power to make sickness leave her, but..." She looks up suddenly, an idea coming to mind. "Trym! Do you still have the gift I gave you?"
The geode we made into a bracelet was as generic as possible and also the first time Nila empowered something.
>>
>>44243965
>http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/43913953/#p43934564
"They could help maybe," Nila explains, as she hands Sera back to Beren's caring arms. "I... Don't remember much of what I did that day... Memories get clearer the more like you humans I became. But I remember doing something... Those crystals caught my breath, a small part of me. If... I'm not sure how, but if she is weak, they might be able to help give her more
energy. The sickness takes that from her, yes? If you use the crystals that hold my borrowed strength, she could recover."
>Those crystals caught my breath, a small part of me.
>A small part of me

SO YES, the charm had a small part of her and was not generic.
>>
>>44243990
Even then it would at best allow better manipulation of water since
>"I have no power to make sickness leave her, but..."
clearly states sickness is outside her domain.

"If it is for our friendship and the child we share, I'll gladly let you take some," Nila cuts you off, shaking her head. "But without my strength, they aren't much use. Further, while they can heal, childbirth and pregnancy is something different...

>But without my strength they are not much use

"There's... Other spirits. Other beings like I and Soqed. They're not of the land or beasts, but rather... I've never seen one, but I have felt them. Maybe one of them has the power to ease childbirth? You could try calling to them?

her power can heal. It did not cure Sera's sickness, but it healed the damage done to her because of it

This simply talks about the magic granted by her.
>>44244032
I don't have a good argument against that aside from assuming she was only talking about the healing charm we made. Would like some clarification from RWB.
>>
>>44243818
So we can use this generic battery to shape a fertility charm without needing a god? Because that's what we got the geode for a while ago, and from Nila's dialogue we didn't have the right stuff to work without a spirit god's specific mojo
>>
>>44243615

>>44244107
>>
Alright how about this.
"Tell me your domains."
This helps us much more than just asking about a single domain.
>>
Holy crap this is a lot of discussion...

To make it clear, Nila gave you an empowered crystal both times. Healing is a pretty generic effect, so a basic crystal is all you needed. A charm specifically for childbirth however, would need something more specialised. There's a limit to what generic power can activate.

Like, say you made a magic weapon with an Empowered crystal or other power source. It could strike surer, cut through armour, hit with more force, etc, but wrapping itself in lightning needs an imbued power source or a special construction for it. A special construction in turn needs understanding of the effect you want.

Does that sort everything out? So, what do you want to ask Isu and Enki?

>>
>"Are my people safe where they are?"

>"Do you know what calamities we may face in the future from your realm?"
>>
For a moment, you consider asking for a boon, but given that they only said they'd answer a question each, you elect not to push your luck. You have an odd feeling this offer is time-limited too, but for the life of you, you can't think of some question you desperately need the answer to. Maybe it'll come to you once you've had a chance to really process the information you've been given. Instead, you go with safe bets.
"Isu," you begin, hesitating for a moment. Should you address them with respect? Probably, but you have no idea how to begin. They aren't family after all. "Great Isu," you start again. That sounds much better. "If I and my clan gives offerings and pleas to you, as we do to Nila, will you please grant us your blessings? We seek to grow grain and more to eat, but with your aid, our future will be all the more secure."
"Yes." Isu nods. "Humans give gifts, give good words and ask, then I help. No bad plants. No bad grow. Grow big and many, but can not stop all bad. Some bad needed, yes?"
So she can help, but some blights and bad harvests will still happen? Maybe that somehow fits into the cycle; not every tree or bush gives a great harvest every year. "Thank you, Great Isu," you bow your head to her and turn to Enki.

The mountain god is even more tricky to get a read on. You consider asking simply what he can do for your clan, but a sudden worry occurs. Avalanches, storms, rockfalls and much more can come from the mountains. He may not have great control over the beasts, but Nila can control or at least command the fish in her river, so it's worth a shot. "Mighty Enki, I ask how we may stop the dangers and calamities that come from your realm. Rock and snow can crush and bury us; blizzards that howl from your slopes can freeze us. Can you avert this?"
>>
>>44243615
>If you are The exemplar of your kind and spirit kind, is there one for humans, or will it come later, like it did for the other living things? You two speak as you would be the oldest...
>Do spirits grow, and become like you in the end, should nothing prevent them?
>>
>>44246110
"I strong," Enki nods, stone grinding on stone as he does so. You've never seen a gorilla, of course, but if you had, you'd say his posture resembles one. "I old and last long. Hard and strong. Humans give gifts, I make strong, maybe. Cannot stop snow. Not mine. Can stop rockfall and avalanche. Will do, if humans ask good. Ask with gifts." He can't smile, but you can feel the big grin on his face in his last words. Maybe you should have asked what they want with gifts from humans? Nila doesn't need to eat much, after all... Too late now.
"Thank you, Mighty Enki. I will bring word to my clan."

"Now you have had your question of all of us that will answer," Lugal nods. "If you humans continue to be polite and praise us and give offerings, then we might be inclined to lend you our assistance and magic. If you do not, we will not concern ourselves with you... Well, most of us won't anyway. I cannot and will not speak for that butcher Awak-"
"Nor will I!" quickly speaks up Ulh. As he speaks for the birds, he must be something like their chief and he's quick to distance himself from the disgrace. "Awak speaks for himself and only for himself!"
"But if you insult us and try to hunt us..." Lugal lowers his head to look you in the eyes on your level. "They you will have earned our enmity and our wrath. Understood?"
"Very clearly," you nod. "My thanks for the warning, Lugal the Grand."
The stag seems pleased by your title for him and you swear you see the quirk of a human smile on his otherwise animal face. "You may return here with offerings and if you wish to speak with us again, but next time, do not be rude," he commands. "You may hunt the mortals that bear our forms without fear, but do not take too many, or we shall consider it an insult."
>>
>>44246150
You return to the village with the greatest of all stories to tell. The clan needs little convincing that you encountered more gods out in the wilds and you spin them the story, leaving out the parts you suspect the watchful gods would object to you sharing, such as Awak's exact words. You do mention him as a rude and belligerent spirit who seems to favour mocking those that are too proud. You suspect a few of the children take to this depiction of him a little too much, but the damage there is done.

With your meeting with the gods of the valley and the knowledge they gave you (most of which you keep carefully to yourself for now), you instantly become a very highly-respected member of the tribe. The word 'shaman' is bandied about, occasionally replaced by 'druid'. Your clan also takes to occasionally leaving small offerings outside on small altars made of flat stones. Few seek direct blessings as yet, but it seems they are mostly doing it to ward off misfortune, lest neglect be looked on as an insult. Even Beren leaves small gifts to Isu and to Lugal, alongside Nila. Since your return and rise in standing among the clan, she's been looking at you with more love in her eyes than before, if you do not miss your guess... And a small trace of awe too. She doesn't say it, but to someone familiar with her, it's possible to see she is surprised and spellbound by the way you seemingly so easily called to and treated with the gods.

No time to think of much else; you head straight for the river and mindful of your promise to Mesut, convince a band to follow you. You take the chance to explain to them that the herds are being over-hunted, but it turns out to be a lot easier than you expected, when one of the group asks, "Is there an aurouchs spirit upset with us for hunting too much?"
"...Maybe? Yes?"
"Okay! It's fish for dinner, everyone!"
You hope respect for the gods doesn't turn into outright fear, but for now, it's extremely useful to have a bunch of the hunters suddenly declaring that they really feel like fish for the next FOREVER and going to look for their long-neglected fishing spears.

Once you reach the river, the inefficiency of spearing one fish after another becomes apparent pretty fast. The aurochs you could herd into a dead end and kill until your pantries were full, but your lack of practice and the less efficient methods only catch you enough to see your family through until mid-spring. The other fishers seem to have scarcely better luck and cast their eyes over to one. One of them clears his throat. "Uhm... Trym? I don't suppose... Maybe you could ask Nila for a little help? Please?"

You shake your head, feeling confident. If Nila can do it, then you may as well try. "No need to trouble her," you nod and reach out your hand towards the river. Will and power, they said. Well, you have the will and how much power can ordering a bunch of fish to swim closer to the shore take? At first, everything seem to be going well. The fishers gasp as the silvery shapes of fish start to be sighted, closer to the surface and grouping together.
"A-are you... You're doing that?" gasps one of the fishers, slack-jawed in astonishment. Sadly, as you nod towards him, you start to lose your grip on the spell. It's suddenly a lot harder to hold onto! Fish start to slip away from your magical grasp and in desperation, you grip tighter. The river bulges upwards and everyone starts to nervously back away as you wrestle with power you don't understand and rapidly realise you're out of your depth with! Fish wriggle in place, stuck still by the tightly packed water, the free-flowing river swirling around it. Shouts of alarm and calls for caution shake your concentration more and more until..!

BOMF!

A thunderclap behind your eyes cuts your legs from under you like you'd been punched in the face by a bear. The water you were 'grasping' suddenly explodes, soaking and stinging everyone around and raining fish, both whole and in pieces, down upon the ground, occasionally interrupted by the placement of someone's head, hand, or upturned face. You have the most splitting ache of something you didn't know you even POSSESSED and a spiderweb of black lines run from your fingertips to halfway up your forearm, itching and burning like you've been attacked by a swarm of bees armed with stinging nettles. Fortunately, the whatever-ache soon subsides and there's plenty of cool bank mud to at least partially soothe the stinging.

As you're nursing your arm and your companions are gathering up the bits and pieces of flying fish, Nila emerges from the river and looks around in utter confusion. "What in the wide world even happened here?!"

After you explain what you tried to do and show her you arm, she sighs and shakes her head in sympathy. "Burnout. You tried to do too much too soon! You thought just because you can use magic you can jump in and start doing whatever you wished?" She smacks the palms of your hands lightly, causing you to yelp in pain. "Idiot! You're lucky I'm fond of you... Stick to minor things first. Small blessings and healing. If you try to do too much, you could harm, or even kill yourself. You mustn't ever, EVER let these..." she traces a cool, soothing finger up one of the lines, "Reach your heart!" She pokes you painfully in the chest and holds her finger up to your face. "Understand? Be glad you didn't try to turn back a flood or something."

Is there anything you would like to talk to Nila about, before she storms off in a worried huff?
>>
>>44249885
"Would you teach me how to control this? I know I can never be as strong as you, but even a little magic could change the life of the tribe, and our family."

Hopefully we can get giggity with her if she agrees.
>>
>>44249885
Apologize. Ask her to oversee us training and mention we will be fishing more in the future.

Not too long ago, you were saying how trash harems are and now you're all for gettin' it on with the fishlady?

Hey, I'm not judging. Harem ending best ending. I'm just pointing it out.
>>
>>44250115
Nila's a good girl, but I don't think spirits count for waifu-ing.

Also I want more spirit babies. It gives us a higher chance of magic fun for later generations.
>>
>>44250115
I WANNA PLAY WITH SOME FISHY TITS. GOT A PROBLEM WITH THAT?
>>
Idea for an offering to the spirits, create a shape to associate with their name? We have drew shapes on ourselves but let us draw a shape of each on their shrines. Such a minor thing could if my theory is correct be very powerful
>>
>>44250115
Harem end best end indeed

Animal sacrifices as well

human sacrifices[spoilers]

Rudimentary art? Sculpture out of soft stone, relief carving, whittling wood, etc may be satisfactory for the more "refined" spirits. We'll need to start gathering more food resources for the other gods though.
>>
>>44251011
We need to gahter more food for our own tribe first.
>>
>>44251030
The only food we really get updates on is meat resources. Anything like bee nests, buried seeds, or edible plants/roots haven't been mentioned much. I'd reckon it's insignificant from the standpoint of the thread, but we know ancient humans relied on these food sources between hunts.
>>
Is there anything special with our child? It is half spirit and all
>>
>>44251074
Your clan does indeed gather wild grains, fruits, roots, seeds, nuts and other such treats, but since moving to the more open lands of the valley mouth, your diet has lost a little in terms of diversity. Further, you guys have never actually gone gathering for food - you've just relied on hunting and fishing. As such, meat has been the staple of your diet. Now that may change in the future, but you'll need to get your fields working first.

Ebba? Well she does seem oddly insightful at times, but who really knows?

And I'm sorry I left you all hanging, everyone. Staying up so late last night has done a number on me. I need to hit the hay somewhat earlier today.

We'll pick up from here on Monday. I hope you all enjoyed the thread so far. This is about the longest we've ever gone! Until next time, everyone please stay safe and have a good time.
>>

Thanks so much RWB. It's been a great thread!
>>
>>44251600
Thanks for running! Can't wait to see what happens next time.

did the 1 cancel us getting a stat point or something from the 10 we rolled

Danke Freund.
>>
>>44251873
No, I've adjusted how you gain those though. Keep practicing a skill and you'll get a level in the job. Stats like Spirit or Strength need involvement from you guys to raise. You need to write something for the thread, or draw a picture or the like.

>You need to write something for the thread, or draw a picture or the like.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
>>
>>44252111
*sigh* drawfag here, ok will try to draw something that might "inspire" us some spirit growth and write something to go with it
>>
Fishing nets needs to be researched soon
>>
>>44252515
We should ask RWB if we can roll something like an inspiration roll to come up with like a net or something
>>
>>44252787
Or just get a writefag to come up with a short story that details the invention of nets?
>>
>>44253002
wow, that really came off as dickish. Sorry.

One day Trym watched a spider catch a butterfly in her web, which prompted him to say "what if that shit could work on small games/fishes.
Guess it would starts trapping as well

Not everything comes from Trym, you know. With the Tribe having to give fishing another go, I've got plans, don't worry.

After all, realism has taken enough of a beating. I hardly think it could stand one man/family being the source of all technological innovation ever.
>>
>>44253130
You'd be surprised, when you get a brilliant mind a lot of inventions spring forth. They also tend to attract those of a similar mindset, and together they create a lot of useful things..

That said, anything can happen throughout the ages. We could be set back technologically for quite a while due to fire, pillaging, plague (if we keep to just rote oral history) or all three

Don't be afraid to let us lose some of what we earned. I know my fellow anons will tell me to shut up, but that's how I feel.
>>
>>44252496
We appreciate you drawfag, you've done us a great service and your art has been really appropriate.

We should tell Nila that we love her. Not just as a god, but as a person. She has given us a beautiful daughter, made time to see Ebba when she could, helped us in creating our first magical artifact, provided another stone for future crafting, defended us among the other spirit gods... Nila has been good to us, in her own way. She deserves what affection we can grant her
>>
I love this because I almost see us building a mythos, like in the future generations, a person may go on an epic quest (like Gilgamesh or Heracles) and one may be talk to the root of your blood and thats whom we are playing as now. Trym was the start of the human/god bloodline. The adventures of our future children becoming legend and the like. I just love it, we are not looking at myths, we are living and building them, we are the ancient myth that others will look back to. The man whom slew the white wolf and gained the love of the river, the first Shaman, he whom opened the door.
>>
>>44253336
It is neat, isn't it? Trym has done so much for the clan, and while they can't fully appreciate what he's done yet future generations will point to him for what he has done and be like 'damn, dude was cash'
>>
>>44251600
that reminds me, how smart do you think our kids will be RWB? Beren and Trym are both surprisingly witted, I imagine that at least one of their children would be pretty smart too
>>
>>44253389
Like Abraham en shit.
