Holidays are fun like that, especially when you've got a buncha personal shit going on, but we aren't here to talk about me, let's talk about Zev!Last time on JAQ Zev dabbled with the fucking dark side and also met a Jedi named Vis, who seems to be real big on meditation and all that jazz.============================
>>44468103While Renari spent most of her time yesterday training at the mats with several other apprentices, you instead chose to meditate with a fellow named Vis. He's not all that talkative, instead being the sort of fellow that more enjoys silence and relaxation, but he seems friendly enough, and even helped you out in achieving sort of an inner peace. Meditation still really isn't your strong suit but Vis could probably out meditate even one of the Masters, if that was actually a thing."Hey... get up sleepyhead." A voice speaks into your ear, before a sharp jab pokes at your side.Groaning, you blink several times, trying to focus your eyes only to see Renari staring at you from her place on the bed. "We gotta get up." She says, motioning down to where your arm is curently wrapped around her side, pinning her in place beside you. Instead you simply close your eyes again and snuggle onto the pillow, figuring a few more minutes won't hurt."We're gonna miss breakfast Zev!"Before Renari can even realize what's going on you're already dressed and ready to go, standing at the door and tapping your foot, staring at her. All she gives you in reply is a sigh and gets out of bed as well."So, what's the agenda today?">I wanna explore Tython a bit.>I hear there's a Republic ship dropping by today, could be fun to check that out>Saber training like normal>Let's see if Master Tikran has some free time>Library, gotta learn>Meditation, inner peace is cool>Write in

Our choice in lightsaber combat is really, really, not suited for warfare. We're good at fighting Sith, not on the frontlines
>>44468497to be honest, i'll be surprised if we don't end up the lewdest consular ever.
>>44468497Well, it's either be good at crowd control or one-on-ones and be mediocre at the other.
>>44468497Sounds good to me. Don't forget that we'll be using a blaster too sometimes though.
"I hear there's a Republic ship coming in to dock today. They're gonna be dropping off some supplies among other things." You respond to Renari, putting your hands behind your neck as the two of you walk along. "Might be fun to check it out, talk to the crew and all that. They've probably got some interesting stories that'll be good to pass the time. Maybe even squeeze a few credits out of an ensign or two with some sabacc."Your mouth was already salivating at the idea of how many credits you could eek out from the crew if you actually got to play. Now that you knew a bit about controlling the force, it couldn't be that hard to cheat your way to a small fortune... but the Republic crew probably knew that as well. It'd be hard to find a soldir that was actually interested in playing with you."Bleh." Rena mutters from your side. "If you think the Jedi are boring, wait until you get a Repbulic zealot on your butt. They're always wanting to talk about how great the war effort is going, even though it's still a stalemate. If they find out that you're a new apprentice that's so strong, they'll probably be hounding you to join up for a while.""Aren't the Jedi already part of the military?""Kinda...? A lot of them fight in the war, but it's not really required that they do so, it's more of a choice." She replies. "You aren't thinking about joining are you? I know you've been reading up on Revan lately, think you're gonna be the second coming?" Calling the vote and writing
So we're all aware that Jedi don't actually take orders right? This is just Zev not knowing and subtle Renari manipulation? Cause remember, she is technically a Sith
>>44469146Joining the republic army does not necessarily mean that Zev would choose to remain a jedi. At least in a formal sense. Also, exceptions occur. I can see Zev being a soldier and a jedi at the same time, with all that those two things entail. I can picture it now... Zev standing shirtless atop the roof of a temporary field HQ, launching fireworks out of a roman candle post-battle while simultaneously chugging a 40oz and force-persuading the the officer corp to loosen up and join the fun.
Zev dealing with Sith the only way he knows how
>>44469253I enjoy this mental imageZev, if he joins while still a Jedi, would technically be a Jedi Commander, at least once he's fully brought in
>>44469146We're never gonna do anything cool if these guys keep voting to be a "neutral" scumbag at every opportunity. We gotta choose a side.
>>44469505Apathy is Death>>44468726"Eh... I'm not exactly prime soldier material. I respect Master Tikran a ton, and I still barely do what she tells me. Can you imagine if I was expected to follow orders down to the letter like I was a droid or something like that? I'd be in military court within the week." You sayw with a chuckle, before shrugging and continuing to speak. "I mean, it's an idea though, I might decide to join up if nothing else really catches my eye, kind of a waste to learn all this fighting and strategy stuff and not use it, eh?"A sly smile shows up on Renari's face "Jedi don't take orders, most of the time. They're automatically promoted to officer positions within the Republic. Sort of like the Empire and the Sith, the common folk know that people like us typically make better commanders outright than someone that can't use the Force." Ah there's that Renari attitude you've come to expect when discussing non-force sensitive beings. She was never quite that fond of them, figuring that they just couldn't match up to a Sith or Jedi in nearly every sort of situation. Still, what she said, that's quite interesting, you wouldn't be a grunt if you joined up under the military banner of the Republic."Of course... there are alternatives as well." She says in her sweet voice. "We'd make it far under the Empire if you're wanting to be a soldier. Sith Lords... it has a bit of a nice ring to it, right?"She's backed down on the whole Empire thing recently, but after you performed that Dark Side technique yesterday it seems that Renari might be bringing back that little part of her that wants to get you to defect and run away with her to join up with the Sith.>Not likely>Long as we stick together, I don't care>Boop her>Write in

>>444698921) I don't necessarily mean that Zev would be a leader like a politician, general, or whathaveyou. A broader definition is anyone who can push their field of expertise farther than anyone has before. Nikolai Tesla was reclusive and had little backing in political or business sectors, but was a genius of awe-inspiring scale. Regardless of your path in life, the best results will be obtained via early specialization.2) Zev is going to be the greatest Jedi of all time. Sure, he might not lead populations. But he might. In fact, he probably will, even if just by accident.

>>44469959Okay, but you were extremely focused in pursuit of that degree whilist you had that plan in mind, were you not? I'm not advocating an approach that obsesses on one goal to the exclusion of all other possibilities. As I said in my earlier post, keeping an open and adaptable mind is in fact important. What I am urging is dedication.I repeat: Dedication to a goal is what I'm arguing for. The acquisition of skill is greatly expedited when you have a purpose in mind. And in my opinion, obtaining that skill is more important than what you're trying to accomplish in almost all cases.
You stare at Renari after she's finished speaking, looking the smaller girl straight in the eyes. She stares back at you, likely expecting some deep or insightful answer about how you feel about the idea of joinig up with her and going to the Empire, to start your lives as Sith on Korriban... maybe run across some punk Sith Apprentice on Drommund Kass that you form a rivalry with, maybe."Boop"Instead of any of that, though, you reach over and give her a poke on the forehead."Zev!" You can't stop from whistling in amazement at the sight of it... a... strange sense of wonder building up inside of you."Beauty, aint it boy?" "Oh to have slipped the surly bonds of earth and danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings... It makes me want a ship of my own." You mutter, not responding to the man's question as you continue to look up at the ship"Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth f sun-split clouds and done a hundred things you have not dreamed of." The man's voice continues, which causes you to break out of your little trance and glance to the side, finally getting to see who it was that spoke to you. You're greeted with the sight of an older human man, his mustache and swept back hair looking as though it was a mixture of salt and pepper, betraying his age considering how fit the rest of him looked."I'll admit son, I wasn't expecting a Jedi to know the old ship poem. Where'd you learn that?" He asks you."Couple of Veteran's hung around Nar Shadda cantinas, picked it up about ten years ago... it always sounded nice, never knew it had a meaning behind it." You reply, looking the man over... and somehow just now noticing the Wookie that was standing slightly behind him, it appears to be sizing you up as well.Your inspection is cut short by the tugging at your sleeve from Renari, the girl looking slightly distressed as she tries to get your attention. Pulling you down enough to whisper in your ear, she quickly speaks "Look at his uniform, that's a Captain, Zev! That's his ship!"Oh.The old man looks slightly amused, evidently picking up on the words spoken by your companion. "Captain Wyadam Sayber, a pleasure." "Zev, Padawan to Master Tikran, nice to meet you." You say while extending your hand to shake the officer's. "Greatest Jedi in the galaxy, even if most people don't know it yet." A light grin showing up as you continue the running joke that's popped up around your small circle.Squeezing your hand back, Captain Sayber chuckles "Ambitious one eh? I like that, suppose time will tell if you've got what it takes son." He says, before the Wookie speaks up from behind him, unleashing a series of growls that sound almost... amused."Hey now, it's a work in progress still. You reply to the Wookie, getting a surprised look from both Renari and the Captain."You can understand Shyriiwook son? That's impressive, ain't too many around these parts that know the language.""Where did you learn that Zev? I've never even seen a Wookie before, but I heard that it's really hard to understand their language." Renari pops in from your side."Nar Shadda, I know a bit of everything." You explain, dropping the hand of the Captain and extending it to the Wookie. "Big fellow here though, wouldn't wanna tussel with you in an alley with a vibroknife." Both you and the furball laugh as he grasps your hand."Huh... ain't ever seen Jho make a friend that easily, guess he likes ya." Captain Sayber says"I'm good at making friends, like Renari here. Say hi Rena."That perks the girl up, "Oh, umm... hello Sir, it's nice to meet you." "Nice to meet you as well Miss Renari."As the two of them do that, the Wookie sniffs the air, then... chorttles with laughter before speaking. "Technically they don't, we just sort of have an... arrangement with the council I suppose? You explain to the Captain, while Renari seems to be quite shy to talk about that topic, not that you can really blame her for that one. "We're sort of... partners, I guess you could say. We work pretty well together, and so far our training hasn't been affected, they just kind of turn a blind eye."Jhoruura chimes in after you finish up, the Wookie giving you a pat on the shoulder as he once more laughs. "Yeah she is a looker ain't she? She's all bark and no bite though, bit of teasing and."Your reply to the Wookie is cut off by the Captain coughing into his hand, and a nod from the man indicating that Renari's face is just about as red as her hair color. Probably best to cut off that line of teasing for a bit, else you get yourself in trouble."Mind if I take a look at your ship, Cap'n? Always wanted to get on something bigger than a transport and actually see how it all works." You ask the older man, hoping that a quick subject change would be enough to still keep you on his good side. Truthfully, you do want to head up there and check the ship out. Ships were the dream of everyone stuck on Nar Shadda, and it'd be a lie to say you didn't have a few fantasies about being a pilot when you were a child. Moving over to wrap your arm around the girl's shoulders as the other one waves up at the ship so far up in the sky. "Grr... Fine, let's go on your little ship adventure." She finally relents, crossing her arms and upturning her nose. "All right!" Giving her a slap on the back, you shoot a grin over towards Captain Sayber and Jhoruura. "We're in your capable hands for the time being Captain."You've got the distinct feeling that the Masters of the Academy wouldn't approve of this little adventure, Tikran aside, but their opinions really don't matter all that much to you right now, it's time for an adventure! Adjusting the cap on top of his head, you can tell that Captain Sayber is trying to hid the grin that he bviously has. Better the man be amused by your actions and attitude rather than amused. "Right then... I expect you two will be on your best behavior now, you hear? This is a Republic war vessel after all, not some wimpy little transport shuttle like we'll be riding up to it in.""What's the name of the ship, Captain Sayber?" Renari asks from your side."Dawn's Lady, that's her name. Every time we head into the fight our Lady brings us out of it without a scratch at the first light. Call me a senile old man if ya like, but I couldn't imagine a better name for her. C'mon now, our shuttle is waiting." He finishes up and motions for the two of you to follow him and the Wookie to the shuttle that's starting up nearby. When you're all strapped in, Captain Sayber and Jhoruura across from you in the passenger bay while the pilots go over the final check, it's not too much longer before you're leaving the Academy behind.>Ask for a story from the Captain>Ask how he and Jhoruura met>Ask something else>Silence>Write in

Jhoruura doesn't fit in one of the seats, taking up two with his larger body, the Wookie having two safety straps reaching across him to cover his mass, it's pretty funny to see, not that you'd ever laugh at a Wookie. You aren't suicidal after all... everyone knows you always let the Wookie win at a game too. "So Cap'n, it's not that common you see a Republic officer and a Wookie as best pals like you two seem to be, what's the story behind that?" You ask while getting comfortable in the shuttle, figuring you were going to be here for a few minutes, so you might as well get comfortable and get a good story out of this as well. The two look at each other for a moment, then belt out laughter that seems unbecomming of a man of Sayber's age, let alone a towering Wookie like Jhoruura. "Well, Jho, whadda say, wanna tell 'em about it?"He gets a rumble of acceptance in return."Back... shoot, before either of you were even born, when the War was still running at it's hardest, Jho here was part of a merc group that the Republic hired on to help out. We might have a lot of foot soldiers, but hired guns still fight pretty darn well when the credits are good enough y'see." The Captain comments, before continuing."Anyways back then I stationed on the Nightwatch, was already an officer, and the Captain wanted me down on the ground to supervise a few things. Me 'n Jho were on the same shuttle down to the planet when we got hit by some AA from a hidden Imperial base, got sent way off course and ended up crashing in the jungle with just the two of us crawling out of the scrap heap." They both chuckle once more at the memories "Ain't a life debt between us, but we work darn well together, never saw a reason to split after that." >>44474145>"Can we go anywhere on the ship?"
"Are there any other Jedi on board the ship at the moment Captain?" You ask the man as the four of you disembark from the shuttle and step foot on the ship proper. If you had thought that the Academy felt like a buzz of activity within the force, this ship felt like it was a constant roar, you were having to do your best to actively supress the ability you had picked up to sense life forms, just so you could think straight... this was a weakness you needed to take care of sooner, rather than later. There's two stronger presences on the ship that most others though, and it's near the front, where you think the center might be."Manage to sense that out with yer Jedi powers? We do, two of 'em, though one is a visitor like yourself, the other is the Jedi assigned to the ship just in case we need 'em, not too much better of a fighter to have on your side in case of boarding than someone with a lightsaber after all." He comments with a chuckle. The man's response gets a reply of annoyance from Jhoruura. "Hey now, you're pretty good too Jho, but even a Wookie can't stand up to a lightsaber in close quarters unless they got one of their own.""It's more than just a lightsaber that makes us so effective at fighting, The Force envelops us, it's a wonderful thing to experience and tap into during combat." Renari chirps in. "That's the real reason you've got a Jedi on board, not just because they've got a lightsaber if the Sith attack. A whole platoon of normal troopers wouldn't even stand a chance against a Sith Lord."Wanting to change the subject before the Captain might get a bit curious about Renari and the Sith comment, you decide to step in once more. "Can we go anywhere on the ship, Sir? Like... the bridge maybe?" You ask him. >CONT

"Considering I sensed them, and I know you did two, we should probably go check in with the other Jedi that are on the ship, wouldn't you say?" Renari says from your side, grabbing your hand and pulling you along as she starts to move towards the hangar door. "Better safe than sorry... don't want people to think we're escaping on a Republic ship after all." Looking back to you with a light grin before she suddenly sticks her tongue out at you, obviously non-verbally referring to the Sith discussion from earlier. When you're through the door and past the gaze of the first soldiers that saw you landing with the Captain, you're greeted with a long metallic hallway, one that appears to go on for quite a ways before making a turn in either direction. "Cmon, we gotta go this way." The redheaded girl is already leading you along."I was gonna suggest this anyways, bit surprised to see you so eager to meet up with a couple of Masters though, doesn't seem like your style." You comment at the two of you round a corner, her hand still entangled with yours as you rush along. Looking back, she rolls her eyes "Like I said, beter to get this over with now rather than later, if we get their concerns out of the way, that'll be more time to explore the ship." Renari says."Sorry, excuse us!" You call out to the poor pair of ensigns that you nearly knocked over, and likely would have if you didn't have your Jedi senses to help you out. With the help of the Force you managed to avoid an accident, and now both you and Renari are slightly using it to increase your movements, just enough to get from point A to point B quicker than you normally would.A quick Turbolift ride later, in which Renari got a little... excited for some reason that you aren't entirely sure about, you're on the 'relaxation deck', which normally consists of a small regulated Cantina, along with a VIP lounge, and an Officers lounge, where you can feel the presence of the other Jedi.>CONT

You say.Several moments after you respond to the droid, likely the machine processing the information and transmitting the request into the room, it steps out of the way. "Enjoy yourselves, Master Jedi."When you walk in you see something you really, really didn't expect.Master Tikran, a human man in Jedi robes, a huge bottle of Corellian Ale, and a sabacc game strewn out in front of them."Master Tikran?" While Renari seems to be dealing with her surprise over seeing your Master gambling with her friend, and winning by the looks of it considering her larger pile of chips compared to the other Jedi, you decided to be more of the pro-active type of person. Hopping over the back of the couch, you get comfy, leaning more towards Tikran than the other fellow, because why wouldn't you."Deal me in, won't ya Master?" You ask while reaching for a glass of the ale, only for Tikran to lightly smack your hand. "Yes... I will, but you're too young to be drinking yet my dear Padawan. Tikran looks to your companion and pats the couch, inviting her to sit as well. You scoot over enough as to where she's able to sit between you and Tikran, the three of you on one side of the U shaped couch with the man on the other side."All right, see if ya can beat this one 'Ran." The man shows his cards on the table, presenting a solid 21 count. That only causes Tikran to giggle once again as she reveals her own cards, showing a total of 22, getting close to a perfect 23 for the pot itself. "We'll catch up in a minute, I promise!" You call after Tikran, and the woman only hesitates for a moment before nodding and leaving the two of you behind in the lounge. Renari is still cuddling against your chest, her fingers digging into your tunic. "Rena...""Zev, please... w-we don't have to fight, we can just stay back and hide, and, and... maybe we can slip away somehow!" She begs of you, looking up into your eyes and appearing quite frazzled about the whole situation. "C'mon Rena, is this still about the Sith thing? We've already talked about this..."She suddenly shakes her head and further digs her fingers into you, fully crawling onto your lap. "I don't care about the Jedi, or the Sith, or anything! You're all I have! You care about me, I don't want to lose you like I lost Papa!" Tears are welling up in the corners of her eyes as she pours her heart out to you. "If you fight and get hurt... I've got nobody left..." Her voice drops, and she once more simply cuddles against your chest, unwilling to let you leave unless you're going to be carrying her out of her with you."Please... Let's just stay here."This is big... How do you respond?>Guess what? Write in option!I had a lot of trouble figuring out how I wanted to handle this one, sorry for the wait

Once more, as has become somewhat of a running trend with the two of you, Renari is staring into your eyes and you're of course doing the same for her. "Rena..." You start, moving a thumb over her cheek, really inwardly hoping that the girl doesn't start to cry, you don't do well when girls cry."Zev..." She replies, leaning up like she's about to kiss you"Boop"The poke to the forehead stops that motion outright. "Gah! Why?" She asks of you, going from looking sweet and needy to annoyed once again."You're not gonna lose me Rena, I'm not going anywhere. I didn't live this long by making decisions that get me killed, and I'm certainly not going to put you in harms way either if I can help it." You reply, ignoring her question and instead pressing a kiss to where you had just poked her head. "From here on out, wherever you go, I go. And maybe--just maybe--what we need isn't here, on Tython. Maybe it's off-world; right now, this ship is our ticket out to bigger and better things. Best Jedi in the Galaxy, right? Giving her one more poke, and she starts to get off of you, brushing up her tunic a bit. "Zev... thank you." She softly says, leaning over to kiss your cheek... then nibbling on your ear. "When this is over I'm gonna rock your world, mister best Jedi." Before she runs off after the Masters.Neat.>CONTINUE?>END?Your choice here lads, it's late and all

Following after Renari, it's only due to the presence of the masters within the turbolift, that they so graciously held for you, that things don't get really steamy within the square elevator. Though you'd kind of be lying if it didn't seem as though Renari wasn't considering doing it anyways. When you reach the command deck, the ship has already made the transition into hyper space, which means that you likely aren't too far out from the destination. Tikran gives you a pat on the shoulder as the four of you step out of the turbo lift, a small smile slightly betraying the serious moment. "Good work." Is all she says before taking the lead of the Jedi present, being a Master of the council and all. "What's the current situation, Captain Sayber?" She asks the man as you all approach, Jhoruura still at his side.As he turns to face you all, he looks pale once he sees you and Renari present. "Oh hell... they were still here." "Worry not about the Padawans, they'll be able to handle themselves. I believe you spoke over the intercom about us joining a battle, however?" She keeps things on track rather than letting you and Renari be the focus."Right... yes..." He clears his throat after Jho gives a concerned whine in his native tongue. "The planet of Rabaan, it's come under attack by an Imperial fleet. Current numbers are unclear but we're currently enroute to provide assistance in the battle. It'd be wise to assume that the majority of the fighting is still taking place around the planet, rather than down on the ground." >CONT
>>44479630The Captain walks over to a holo emitter and brings up a representation of the planet, with several ships surrounding it. "It's still also unclear who the leader of the enemy forces are, though I'd wager a Sith Lord of some power. Thought the numbers aren't solid, like I said, we do have an estimate of how many ships there might be"You're greeted with the sight of quite a few Imperial vessels, and with the next click, Republic ships are shown as well on the holo-map. They're outnumbered, by a 1.5 margin."Questions, comments? How about you son, this is your first taste of battle, isn't it? What're you thinking about all this?">Write inWrite in because pizza time

>>44479641Well, it's my first taste of battle on this scale for sure. I don't see how'll be much help unless they actually, you know, board us. Also can I get a blaster pistol please, I've kinda missed my one since the jedi took it from me.

"It's my first fight that's got more than a few grunts with some pipes, that's for sure Cap'n" You say while studying the charts, not really finding much of a way that you could be of help with this. You've learned the basics of strategy in the classroom, but never put any of those lessons actually to use."Can't say I'll be much help unless they decide to board us, or we board them... or Master Tikran wants to send me down to the planet to assist there?" Glancing to the side to see what she's got on her mind. She shakes her head in response "Rabaan has several Jedi already on station that will handle things planet side, we'll need you up here with the rest of us." Tikran says, moving forward to the holo-map and rubbing her chin as she looks over the simulation. That causes a shrug from you, since you've pretty much already offered to do what you could. "If you could spare a blaster though, that'd be great Cap'n. I might be a Jedi now, but old habbits of Nar Shadda die hard." You decide to ask the man, which actually gets a chuckle out of the captain. "Well, you heard him Jho, give him your bowcaster." That only gets a defiant roar back from the wookie, along with a grunt afterwards. "Hey now, I'd treat it well! Never gotten to fire a bowcaster before." You comment, much to the surprise of the Masters, they didn't know you could understand a Wookie after all.Captain Sayber rolls his eyes at his friend and approaches you instead, reaching into his holster and producing his blaster pistol "Here son, take mine, you treat it well now y'hear? I expect that weapon back in tip top condition." He pats you on the shoulder before resuming his spot next to the Wookie.>CONT
Checking over the blaster pistol, you can see it's fully loaded, over three hundred bolts, more than you'll need for this fight. Giving it a spin, a little trick you learned back on Nar Shadda, you tuck it into your waistband for later."It's your ship, Captain Sayber, I'll trust your guidance when it comes to the battle, but if the chance offers itself, I'd like to lead a strike team into an enemy vessel to see if we might be able to deal with the enemy commanders. Even if it's not the command vessel, taking out even one ship might help us a great deal." She finally says, ending her statements with a small nod.>"Will we be going?">"Can I go with you Master?">"I'd like to stay on the bridge, rather than going.">Try your hand a bit of tactics looking at the map (Roll time)>Silence>Ask a question>Write in

While Master Tikran, Master Coltuc, and Captain Sayber discuss possible tactics amongst themselves, you decide to give it a shot as well, approaching the holo-map and looking it over a few times, trying to tune out the noise of the world so that you can instead focus on what's in front of you."Hey... Jho, come here for a sec would ya big guy?" You ask the Wookie, figuring his experience might help you out here. He gives a chortle of acknowledgement and moves over to look at the map with you, while Renari comes up from behind you and looks as well."See that cluster, right over there?" You point at cluster of smaller ships towards the back of the main fleet that seems to be hovering over the planet. "I know it's just a simulation, and we can't really know what they are... but I'm betting those are corvettes meant for a hit and run when the main cruisers start engaging. If we could hit them hard and fast from the start..."The Wookie gives a growl of appreciation and claps you on the back, hard enough that you're almost sent flying into the hologram emitter. He gets the attention of the Masters and the captain, and you repeat your idea, which gets you a look of appreciation from the captain, and pride from Tikran "Well, nice eye son. You might just have the mind to be a tactician if this is what you can spot so easily.""Thank you sir."Now as for the boarding party situation...>"Will we be going?">"Can I go with you Master?">"I'd like to stay on the bridge, rather than going.">Silence>Ask a question>Write in

I don't see Zev as someone thrilled to actually go and kill people, but he'd realize that since he's on a republic vessel doing what he can to secure victory is one good way to staying alive.Another would be stealing a shuttle and fleeing, but he already has a few friends on board, it would feel like a dick move to abandon them.

Your success at spotting something that can actually help out with the battle is only helping you cement the action that you think you should take in the upcoming battle. Still, it's good to check with Rena, see if the girl has any ideas of her own of what she might want to do. "What are you thinking here Rena? Strike team or staying on board the ship and acting as the defense?" You ask her, since the 'adults' are once more talking amonst themselves and officers that are also on deck, the captain is going to relay the new plan that you helped work out to other ships, you even hear your name mentioned."We should stay here on the ship, if we go with Master Tikran, we'd have to fight Sith, and..." She doesn't want to, that much is obvious you at least. "We're strong Zev, but we don't stand a chance against real Sith."Giving her a pat on the shoulder, you grin down at her like you normally do. "Then we'll stay here and act as backup to Master Tikran if she needs us to. Hey, maybe we'll find out if I really do have what it takes to be a soldier if I keep this up." She smiles at you afterwards."Will you be coming along with the strike team, Zev?" Tikran asks once it appears that she and the others have finished their conversation for the moment. "Actually, Master, it's probably for the best if Renari and I stay here and act as defense, wouldn't it? We'd only get in the way and slow you down if push came to shove." You reply, which causes Tikran to raise a brow."My my~ It's nice to see my Padawan is thinking so clearly about all of this, very well then Zev.
