Around the Isle of the Gods, many races, creatures and things were created. The story of this world continues, and the Thousand Divinities continue their endless squabble as they shape the world in their image.

With the recent deaths of innocents, Dredd, god of justice, has become distraught and starts to investigate this cults.

Fellow gods, I know I have not been the best of us lately. But our creations are losing their lives to cults to something we don't know. This poses a grave risk for us all.

Many ages have passed since the dawn of creation.

Gods walk amongst mortals, high and mighty. Humans, Dwarves, Golems, the Trill, the Gelros and the Halflings, as well as many beasts and monsters, populate the earth. The races gifted with wits and wisdom begin to form cities and town, learning from the agricultural expertise of the Halflings that was gifted to them by Valu, god of the Earth.

Ernst, the god of Injustice has been slain by Dredd, the Red-Handed God of Justice, who now roams the world in search of redemption for killing his brother.

Giants still sleep within the Monolith, the great mountain amidst the southern glaciers conjured by Istril and Valu.

An unknown being threatened creation, but was captured in the webs of Tailithe, the god of bounds. A fraction of it still hides in the endless void.

Hijdiekijkt, the God of Games, made the Sphinxes that still roam the world, creating strange puzzles and labyrinths.

There are many other gods as well, such as:

Omega, god of the End,
Yrael, god of Hope and patron of Paladins,
Kallos, god of beauty
Braavos, god of valor and bravery
And Solmes, god of trickery and mischief, who allowed mortals to steal trees from the garden of Aurana, and is still at large, awaiting punishment for this sacrilege.
>>
Dredd, still vigilant for anything that might be "off" somehow, continues his work embellishing the merciful side, but continues his hunt for Solmes.
>>
Left unchecked by the gods, and a decent match for other mortals with their eldritch rituals, the cultists eventually officially form what is known as the Followers of the Truth, and manage to take an entire city for themselves. At the head of the city, the Seer Who Sees Beyond, seems to be the current leader of this overbloated cult. Their understandings of dark rituals expand, partially thanks to the invention of writing, partially due to the fact that there are more of them to work together. They still cannot do much, but many whispers spread through the city of plans of spreading further, and possibly even setting foot on the isle of the gods someday. A truly blasphemous thought, no doubt.
>>
>>44469161
The Golems and Men of Metal are now swayed by these cultists. They are beings of logic, and see this as a sham.
>>
>>44469211
Does it really count as a sham if there are actual results?

The Starmen continue gazing at the skies, largely uninterested in strange cults. Some adventurous younglings occasionally travel to the lands of the Golem and the Metal Moon, a few are swayed by the Followers of the Truth. The relations with the Trill (I still don't know who they're supposed to be) are developing well.
>>
Rolled 58 - 40 (1d100 - 40)

>>44469246
Though mere mortals, they can still fight back. Though certainly incapable of ever slaying a god, their unnatural magic hurts somewhat (like the prick of a needle, really), and can produce inconvenient effects. The cultists certainly put their all into protecting what they gained.
>>
>>44469305
I slay only the cultists. Any who look as if they were drafted against their will are spared. I am sure to keep all innocents alive.
>>
>>44469304
This is kinda interesting, the Starmen, who are beings of fire live together with the Trill, a race created by the Goddess of Cold on the same continent. Like pottery.
>>
The Golems and Metal Men work to further the advancement of technology while cults are butchered by Gods.
I, Neron, God of the Forge, work to improve the Metal Moon that orbits our world. Adding rivers of Lava, and strange, fake trees made of iron, yet still seem to grow and provide odd fruit.
>>
>>44469342
Those who were drafted against their will certainly no longer resemble what they once were. Dark magic has twisted their forms and minds into beings that wish only to further the goals of the outsider god, while ever so slightly resembling it. Of course, they are technically still innocents, and killing them would still technically be a genocide of a new species. Does your decision remain the same?
>>
Neron, can you defuse this bomb? The city has been retaken.
>>
I the Changer of Mortal Perceptions create ciphers and codes so that knowledge may be hidden by those that need not to know it. I also give many mortals the idea of currency so that trade may happen more freely between all people.
>>
>>44469424
My decision remains the same. They are a new race. If they all start deciding to kill innocents of say, humans, then I will have to defend the humans.

I decide to teach this new race about justice, about mercy.
>>
>>44469434

>>
In honour of the victory over the cults of darkness, I make the sun shine mild, bringing good weather for crops and harvest to the righteous of heart.

Some mortals depart on journeys to further their relation to other species. All are welcome on the floating continent of ice and fire, provided they mean no harm to the (mostly) peaceful beings residing there.
>>
>>44469492
They are wholly uninterested in such concepts, and their ideology appears to be quite alien indeed.

They make an exodus from the ruined city, across some of the sea, and onto a secluded island. There, they prepare to warp the land into a form more hospitable for themselves, and construct dwellings of bizarre architecture. The threat...seems neutralized, for now. Of course, not all of the willing cultists were killed, since not all were at the city, so a few normal ones are around the world in odd places. The followers of truth took a heavy blow, at least.
>>

Fuck, I wrote my trip in the 'options' bracket.

Within the center of the sea, an equidistant location between all four continents. I craft an island and upon this I land I build a tower, filled with knowledge and ideas that would change the world. I then create a cipher and form it upon rocks across the world. Hidden within art and poetry. The tower changes constantly shifting itself around every hour into a new unique version of itself. within are ten thousand ring slots hidden within the art. At the top I place a single book of magic, and spread the rumor that a great treasure is hidden there waiting for a mortal to find it. Thus the first riddle-tower is formed.

The Twisted Ones (the new race crafted by cultists) send out individuals armed with bags of writhing masses. In an attempt to not incur godly wrath, they attempt a concept new to them. "Trade". They try their hardest to purchase members of the other species from said species, through various offerings. Being a warped version of them, the twisted ones know that they can only survive as a race if they continue to convert others into their form.

You don't realize what that would do, Neron. My people need to carefully keep control of their surface tension, and they are accustomed to doing so on land. Where they to spend their lives in the water, they would constantly be in danger of fading away, not to mention the severe drop in available nutrients they would suffer from the change in environment. And of course I want the best for my creations, I want them to be able to live amongst other races if they desire. I have no intention of letting them be pushed away to isolation.

After having been betrayed by the god of trickery and the god of death, I no longer feel beholden to the mortals and even other gods of this world. Thus in my greatest effort, I give rise to a great tree of divine splendor at the center of the isle of the gods. Wider and taller than any other, even the ones of legend never released from my garden, it reaches to the skies (and heavens perhaps) above and shares a portion of my own divinity, given willingly and inexorably binding the two of us. At the pinnacle I dwell, among the canopy to live and work in secret.

In my leaving, mortals are free to take any plants and trees to and from the isle of the gods now, and as well my garden where all my creations were made (and some still dwell) is now left open and unguarded, abandoned by its caretaker. However in my absence, no new types and kinds of plant life can be created. All species and strains of plant life that is, is all that there shall be, and if a species or type of of plant should go extinct then it shall remain so. From here on, though it may take till the dying of this world, the diversity of all plant life will only decrease till eventually none but the great tree remains.
>>
>>44470292
Such seems impossible with the necessary eldritch energies at work. An imitation of the race could be made, but it would be a pale one indeed, and certainly not a true recreation. The cultists could always make more, of course, but the prerequisite method does involve base race individuals for converting.

As an off note, the twisted ones seem absent from any afterlife here. They either go somewhere in another universe, or more chillingly, cease to be when dead.
>>
>>44470321
>>44470355
>>44470371
I still fail to see the issue with things the way they are now. The rain has existed since near the beginning of time, and caused no harm. It allows my people to move freely about this world, putting them on the same level as the others.

Death made a concerted effort to make sure that plant life died just as mortal beings would. Trickery repeatedly allowed for, assisted, and possibly even personally stole from my garden and allowed for the most sacrilegious crime of all; mortals to get ahold of the divine Gods' fruit.

Eventually, through exceptional secrecy, the Followers of Truth reform to their old numbers. Having learned from the sacking of the city they once took over, they now instead have formed a much looser secret society spanning the continents, their members covering their tracks in a mad paranoia and keeping their overt magical displays to an absolute minimum. Ultimately an act good for their health, considering what their form of magic does to them.

Cults grow, and are much harder to root out and cripple.

Solmes, god of trickery, mischief and opportunity lurks the growing forests of the mortal world, cast out of the Island of the Gods. Indeed, the trees carry still a divine spark within them, enough that when they are amassed into large forests, they can offer protection and concealment to the outcast god for bringing about their existence. In turns, Solmes and his trickster spirits roam these forests, playing tricks or granting boons to mortals that wander them seemingly at random.

Yet the growing existence of cults is bringing the outside world's turmoil to the strange, green realm of trees and trickery, as the woods can shield and conceal them just as well as they can Selmos- and he is watching all who seek to hide in the forests, as they could unwittingly lead the Gods to his trail, as well.

Ok you are probably right and I am overreacting a little, but I can't stand by and let them mutate people.

While the inquisition does it's thing, I am going to look for Solmes.
>>
>>44470645
In order to remain faithful to their cultist teachings whilst avoiding inquisition punishment, many cultists ingrain themselves deeply in a community to the point where removal would be fairly destabilizing, while still maintaining their masquerade. This presents moral and ethical dillemas - get rid of a cultist, or let the community stay as healthy and happy as it is?

>>44470658
Some cultist sects form in Solme's realm as well, due to the obvious benefits. Unfortunately, with the lack of inquisitors in the area, they revert to old ways of warping some of the wildlife and surroundings. A small patch of forest is corrupted with the outsider god's influence.
>>
>>44470806
I go to the area and deal with the corrupt forest.
>>
>>44470806
Justice must be served. Give them a fair trial first if the trial finds them to be cultists, then they are exposed.
>>
>>44470806
>>44470795
The trees whisper of the corruption, and Solmes, though mischievous, answers their call, for the forests loyally conceal him still.

And thus begin the tricks and increasingly dangerous pranks that befall the cultists who seek to corrupt the realm of trees- an accident here, a misdirection there, they can never know safety from circumstances turning against them seemingly at random- but never cripplingly so, for Solmes is also the god of opportunity, and he must always leave an opportunity to triumph, even to his enemies.

As the culmination of these efforts, Solmes shall try and play a trick on Dredd himself, who has taken to searching the forests for him, leaving trails that instead lead the bloody-handed god of justice to hiding cults and their schemes.

>>
>>44470866
Opinion of the exposed cultists vary from community to community, depending on the public opinion of Followers in the area. Some have taken to spreading propoganda to increase opinion and recruitment there, often mentioning the genocide to garner support. As such, over time, inquisitor exposures are becoming less effective at being a punishment within some communities.
It still remains a minor religion in the world, though. Nowhere near mainstream yet.

>>44471148
Solmes shall wait with coming face to face with Dredd- he is, after all, a little heavy-handed in his deliverance of justice- but the trees will faithfully carry his words wherever Dredd is, and carry Dredd's back to him

"O god of Justice, hear me out! I now Aurana sees terrible injustice in my acts, but on the contrary, I propose it was I who brought justice to the world with my scheme! Trees are truly wondrous creations of Flora, you see- they give a tired man shade, they give animals plentiful food and a place to hide, and they give mortals boundless opportunity- wood!
Logs, timber, hardwood, whichever form it takes, wood is opportunity made manifest! It can be chopped, it can be cut, it can be burned, it can be carved into whatever a mortal mind can think of- and it just grows out of the ground!
To deprive the mortal races of such a wondrous thing, I saw this as a great blunder, a missed opportunity- and an excellent chance to commit great mischief, for why else would the continents convene around the good old Godly Home of us all, if not to give mortals a chance to step through the otherwise impassable barrier!
In fact, I posit that Aurana was selfish, terribly selfish with her greatest creation- and I have given a great gift to the world! Is it not more just that trees get to grow everywhere than on a single, meager (heh) island?"
>>

Lothyil, god of the forbidden, has seen fit to use their domain to RESTRICT GODLY INTERFERENCE. Mortals may no longer be interacted with directly unless you spiritually possess one, speak to them through visions or dreams, or they happen to be a wandering spirit of some kind.

When possessing someone, they are considered an Avatar. They gain features to somewhat resemble you, or a marking of your choice clearly shows. Their physical capabilities are ten times that of an ordinary person of their race, and their mind is essentially yours. You have free reign like this, but try not to use the same mortal too much or too long - they are poor vessels for deific power, so they may expire unexpectedly.

Indirect interactions are still very much allowed.

What joy is theft from a garden unattended? It is hardly even an opportunity at all! And the cessation of new species? This is not what I wanted, not at all!

I shall bring down Aurana from her little hermit's cave (or tree, rather) before the end of the world, mark my words!

It is Springtime, and mortals and minor gods alike are glad to see the heat return again in the south (reversed world, remember?). Though strange unfathomable greater Gods may strive against one another between themselves and their rival creations, the world is new and still pastoral.

Jubilos, stretching after his/her/its? morning mounting, thinks that the long slumbering giants are neglectful in their worship and works, and deigns it appropriate to send them dreams of happy lust and good works.

Unknowing, maybe uncaring, of the effects, Jubilos turns his mind to the rest of the flock's lessons of the day.

The dust has settled, the world is returning to peace- how boring!

Indeed, Solmes shall occupy himself! he shall create yet more of his trickster spirits, and let them loose in the forests, to continue their mischieves on all mortals that wander the woods of the world, helping or hindering depending on their whims. And these beings shall be called fairies from now on, for that name pleases me!

Now then, however, for a grandiose mischief, and an opportunity like no other, Solmes shall make an offer to the Laughing God- Solmes shall be his attorney in the coming trial, if he accepts, for it appears to be quite a challenging and tricky endeavour!

Deadworld, yo.

“Deadworld? Is that where you’re from?” “No, dude. That’s where you’re from. It’s where we are now. This place, it’s a horror show. If the guy next to you decides to knock you out of this world forever, he can do it with just a piece of metal or, hell, even his bare hand. You blobs, you sit there, chillin’ in this room and I can smell the rot of dead animals soaking in the acid of your guts. You suck the life from the innocent creatures of this world just so you can clock another day. You’re machines that run on the terror and pain and mutilation of other lives. You’ll scrape the world clean of every green and living thing until starvation goes one-eight-seven on every one of your sorry asses, your desperation to put off death leadin’ to the ultimate death of everybody and everything. Dude, I can’t believe you ain’t all paralyzed by the pure, naked horror of this place.”

Sounds like a proper boring place

Good thing clockwork is such an elaborate , sensitive thing- just a single poke, and things get all messy- a perfect opportunity to learn from the mistake made.
And so, Solmes shall provide this boring moon of metal with the occasional opportunity to learn and improve, by paying a brief visit from time to time, and making sure to poke and prod just a little around in those clockwork innards

Typhos, God of Storms

Made it rain near eternally, the only exceptions are for a three day period during the seventh month of the year, and in places above the clouds where the rain will obviously not reach. Also, most areas in the far South receive snow instead of rain.

Surrounded the Isle of the Gods with an ever raging tempest impassable to mortals.

And created the Gelros, a race of sapient semi-liquid beings that interact with solids by controlling their surface tension, absorb nutrients and water through their outer membrane, and evaporate upon death. They cannot survive long out of the rain, and have to submerge themselves in water for the three rainless days every year.

Pretty sure that's all I've done.

Upon this rests an ever-changing tower with 10,000 ring slots, and behind those rests a treasure of unspeakable value.

The fraction of itself that came through was contained in the cosmic web, and so it went to sleep to await the time when such would fade, and to gather its strength. This cult claimed a city, created a race called the Twisted ones, and were soon destroy d. The twisted ones were eliminated through genocide by the laughing god. Aurana, mother of basic and plant life on this world, and one of the ancient original gods. In the past ages I had decreed among plantlife, trees to be the province of the gods, and the rest available to mortals. Chief among the trees were those that grew Gods' fruit, initially the source of sustenance for (some) gods in the most ancient times, before faith became a preferable means of sustenance (for some). An unfortunate side effect that if a mortal consumed enough of the fruit, they too would gain a portion of divinity however small, explaining the existence of numerous lesser (single post, single setting modification) gods in ages past, most no longer in existence or having fallen into obscurity or even simply having moved on.

After repeated transgressions by mortals and betrayals by gods however relating to both trees and most importantly the divine fruit, and the spread of them, I withdrew from worldly and divine affairs to the canopy of a vast tree, larger and taller than any other and sharing a portion of my own divinity. There I dwell, in secrecy and away from the prying hands and eyes of both gods and mortals alike. In my leaving I placed a curse on the world, that no new species or strains of plant life shall arise or be created. The diversity that exists currently, is all that shall exist till the dying of the world.

Worth noting that the garden and orchard where I once dwelled in ages past and created all manner plant life and even animal hybrids, now remains open and unguarded to any brave or foolish enough to enter. Obviously it has fallen to disrepair and overgrowth, though.

Jubilos needs little introduction: the name most issued in praise from mortal mouths, and while not the greatest of the 1000 gods, a being most celebrated.

For whom other than Jubilos' aspects do the young races live so? To multiply in plenty, to work hard but live well? Sloth is scorned, as is isolation, for mortals desire what Jubilos embodies most: good joyous love and a busy life.

Many forms are recognized: golden hued human of tall stature, or equivalent of the other races. And otherwise still a beastly form some have claimed resembling a bull with the head of man, the hair and fur of a lion, the cock of a horse, the she-hippos fertility,

I am Selmos, god of mischief and opportunity. I have, upon the first convening of the continents around the Isle of the Gods, carried out a great scheme and granted trees, this masterpiece of plantlife to the world of the mortals. For this, I was an outcast for a long time, wandering the new forests of the mortal worlds, spreading my trickster spirits which I have dubbed fairies, and letting them mete out boon and mischief upon mortals that enter the woods in equal measure.

It was only after the great turmoil caused by the cults that Dredd has come to my realm, and after haring my case, decided that my great mischief against Aurana was ultimately a forgivable one.

>>

Erhm-hm. So then, as the defendant's attorney, I demand my client's crimes and their circumstances be fully read out!

I was, of course, busy hiding away in the forests of the mortal world to pay attention to the whole outsider cult hubbub.
>>
The unfathomable one has a nightmare as it continues to sleep. The all consuming madness spreads to more mortal minds, and previous insanity in individuals is intensified. The old cult members, for the most part, simultaneously engage in self-destructive acts as they gibber incomprehensibly and endure seizures. Many of them fail to do much damage due to aneurisms, but some have ended up destroying their communities before expiring, though inquisitors have likely saved quite a few as well.

A fresh wave of cultists is born from those new to the madness, with different insights than the previous.

Strangely enough, mortals worldwide also gain a boost to their imaginative capabilities. Inventors are cropping up on their own, and great works of art are being made.
>>
>>44483615
And by crimes, of course, I mean SUPPOSED crimes. That should go without saying!
>>
>>44483636
We need a prosecutor before the trial can actually begin, but that I can do.

The defendant, The Laughing God, is on trial for the genocide of the race now known as the Outsiderspawn by spawning a large amount of exploding death machines.

While the trial of immortals carries on, a new god comes into being amidst the distraction.

He is Xurdu, the god of radioactivity.

His people, the Uranken, are large bipedal echidnas the size of bears. They have recently formed settlements near Halfling borders.
>>
>>44483956
Esteemed Judge!
My client stands accused of a heinious thing indeed- blowing up an entire island, and upon it, a fledgling race! So many opportunities gone!

However, we all know this race came about due to machinations outside of all our sphere of influence- an, if you will, unnatural tampering with the world that is all our collective birthright!

Now, I ask: Was this race that the Laughing God dispersed into the world in tiny bite-size chunks- truly a race? I have indeed heard statements that they were unable to breed on their own, and instead had to take members of other species and make them their own. If such is true, they can be hardly considered a race, more like... Some sort of eldritch body modification club, really!
>>
>>44484055
Thank you, now will the prosecutor proceed with their opening statements?
>>
>>44484078

Though I am young (only 3 minutes old),and only a jury, I- Xurdu, feel as if it is obvious- conciseness created by anything other than a god is an abomination.
>>
>>44484078

No matter their origin, these beings were thrust into our world, into our care. Machinations of the Outsider or not, each of them held within their soul the spark of goodness, no matter how small. If given the opportunity, perhaps they could've become a part of Creation proper.

But now we shall never know, as the Laughing God mercilessly struck down their entire race. It is a most grievous crime, and must be punished accordingly.
>>
>>44484113
The outsider is a god, just not one of this universe's set.
>>
>>44484167

Then it is over-stepping its rightful boundaries! By encroaching on our section of reality, it is issuing at best, a disrespect of our authority. At worst- this is an act or war!
>>
>>44484144
>>44484055
We shall now move on to the presentations of evidence, starting with the defendant.
Solmes, what evidence is there that the Laughing God did not genocide the race of Outsiderspawn?
>>
>>44484203
Actually, a better question is: What evidence is there that The Laughing God is innocent?
>>
>>44484203
>>44484232
...Alright, Laughing God, help me out here fella, because I'm pretty sure you did blow 'em all up, and looks like they ain't buying the "It was totes ok to do" defense
>>
>>44484282
I'm not the jury, actually.
>>
>>44484282
Lmao, best defense attorney
>>
>>44484282

I, Xurdu, have made it very clear that I believe the Laughing Gods action are justifiable. The basic truth is that we don't know what this Outsider's intentions are. I feel as if we should destroy it before it's too late.
>>
>>44484333

Should we just blindly destroy all that we do not know?! Such is madness, and I will take no part in wanton ruthlessness. If evil and wickedness are indeed the goals of the Outsider, then I will take up arms gladly, but there is no proof of it.

Look at the workings of his subjects! Many of them are maddening and strange to us, but there are also those that are beautiful! Wondrous music and poetry inspired by him.

If there is a sliver of hope that his intentions are not harmful, we should allow him to live, perhaps even offer him sanctuary and offer him a place as our brother.

The destruction of his Spawn cannot be allowed to go unpunished.
>>
I am Nypros, the Newborn.

I have no idea what's going on but will make a potent ally with my fresh divinity.
>>
While justifiable, I see the opposite ,Xurdu, we can hold no candle to the Outsiders way of thinking, nor its perceptions. As such a golden age of art, and literature may have flowed from these beings that see from a way unknowable to mortals. The amount of good they could have done may have out weighed the evil. Their perceptions were alien, but they were once our mortals. Mercy should've been a foregone conclusion.
>>
>>44484407
>>44484333
So evidence is clearly in favor of the Laughing God actually blowing up the Outsiderspawn.

The question shall move on to: was it JUSTIFIED genocide?
>>
>>44484407

Perhaps interrogation and questioning of this Outsider himself is needed before we point fingers at anyone. This whole trial has been squabbling about, and no one bothered to invite the key witness.

This genocide, this obliteration of hope.. this cannot stand, and you know it, Selmos. Your yourself have stood guilty of allowing mortals to enter Aurana's garden. I stood by your decision, for it gave new hope and cause to the mortals. But this is different. This day, we face a far more grave accusation against the Laughing God than mere thievery.

More as a community than a race?
>>
>>44484804

Borlüx! I forbid you from drawing your blade against the Outsider until we can be certain of its wickedness. Even though it is strange, it may not be evil.

It knows no our evil and it knows no our good.
It only wishes to feed and grow stronger.
However, in our world The Outsider can't feed without causing havoc and troubling the proper gods.
It must stay controlled.

The outsider's creations served no more danger than other mortals to themselves, we merely need to stem the usage of eldritch energies by these mortals, lest they destroy the world we sought to create. Destroy, spare, as long as our creations remain it is of no consequence. Each God is to act upon the mortal realm as he pleases so long as they do not wantonly destroy the other God's work.

Though this just may be my thought as an old physical aspect God. You conceptual aspect young'uns might have a different opinion.
>>
>>44485224

I have commanded my people, the Uranken, to arrest any neighboring Halfling sympathizers they find, and to destroy any Outsider inspired art.
>>
>>44485034
I do not know.
Have you tried to create a treasure for Pilfer, God of Treasure?
This may be a good way to figure it out.
If you won't be able to figure it out I can offer you a joint title of the God of Dreams and Stories and a place in my archives.
>>
>>44485085
>>44485224
THEN LET US UNDO THIS BEAST! HHHHRRRAAAAAAA!
>>
It appears that the jury has voted that the Laughing God is innocent anyway.

Now could someone tear down that bridge and/or replace it with a nice stone one?
Stein?
>>
>>44485218
Yes.

>>44485251
>Grabs your hand
Let's go make with sand.
>>
>>44485360
Destroying a mortal work of art seems unjust. Lives were lost making it, and it is useful in a way.
>>
>>44485360
>>44485259
Behold the profane influence of the Outsider! Let us bear it no longer!
>>
>>44485360

I can drop a bomb comprised of my natural element on the bridge.
>>
My children grow tired of this seemingly never ending events of stupidity.

They decide to build a great done over their lands.
This dome is made of a strange material only known to the Golems and the Men of Metal. It is clear, almost glass in appearance, yet no mortal may break it, and any vegtitation or organic matter that grows on it quickly rots away.
The only ones capable of entering or exiting the Dome are the Golems, men of Metal, or The clock work Animals.
>>
Sorry
I tear that bridge down with a rockslide and replace it with an ornate stone one.
>>
>>44485360
I like the idea of a bridge, but that flesh is giving me the creeps! Bomb away, I say! Blow it all up, and let us create a better, proper bridge in its place! The best of both worlds!
>>
>>44485459
I just did that.
>>
>>44485436

I was going to drop an atomic bomb on it, but what you've done looks much nicer.
>>
>>44485420
Your children were a good influence on other races.
They will be missed.
Will you at least send out enlighteners to teach your logical non-violent ways form time to time?
>>
>>44485369
I, Ruuk am surprised by this other being in my realm, which is currently an island of floating ovuul carcass. But yes. Sand... Sand? What is sand?
>>
>>44485496
Thanks.
>>
I send the Uranken on a crusade against any neighboring Halfling cultists. Their atomic powered wrist-cannons should make the job quick.
>>
When discovered, the followers are greatly offended of the usurpment of their work. They begin to spread BLASPHEMY, claiming that the gods grow jealous of mortal efforts, and that the people of the world should not stand for it any longer. Some are persecuted for such words, mbut some believe it.

Dissent, blasphemy, and even a few cases of nonbelief grow. Ideas are difficult to destroy, it seems.
>>
>>44485538
I hate sand. It's rough and course and gets everywhere.
>>
>>44485538

>>
>>44485587

Let Nypros be no longer known as "the newborn", but as the Sand Lord.
>>
>>44485561
I get the intention, but isnt sending radioactive war machines to comb halfling settlements a little extreme? Might cause war.
>>
>>44485635

Children may squirm while getting combed, but it keeps the lice out of their hair.
>>
>>44485562
I, being the mischievous one I am, shall trick and hinder these fools spreading the word- a prank here, a scheme there. But their ideas interest me- time to whisper to some mortals living close to the trees that still carry my voice, whisper to them of the great inspirations they could pull from the minds of these cultists and followers- these ideas need only be extracted then cleansed of the weirdness and improperness of the outsider, and they'll be jolly good! Grab this opportunity, mortals!
>>
>>44485561
You had best have a good reason for attempting genocide

Or you and your kin will answer to Dredd.
>>
>>44485562
Ideas are difficult to destroy it seems. They lurk in the shadows, waiting for a chance to be reborn in their former glory. The destruction of a mortal work of art by divine fiat, and with the support of the apparently reformed God of selective justice, seems to me to constitute an act of injustice and self serving. Empowered by these events, Ernst, God of Injustice, rises again.

The cultists are hunted, but this persecution drives more supporters to their plight. Soon enough, mortal war has broken out! Dark energies stain the land along with blood. Many enemies of the followers are converted into outsiderspawn. A coalition of Seers of the Beyond form, great warlocks among the cultists.

The outsider awakens under duress, sending out a massive wave of corrupting psychic energies. Even gods, should they fail to defend properly, may end up with a growing corruption within them.

As for defense...it has none? The fraction of the outsider here is destroyed easily enough. No threat other than what effects linger are here.
>>

On the outsider, not on the halfings.

I begin the migration of all remaining innocents to havens under the eye of the Inquisition as we war on the alien.

We won't feed it to the Ovuuls.
Tsamseth has eaten most of it anyway.
Have you met Tsamseth?
I allow you to pet her.
>>
>>44487479

Cool. I just made something you'll like. I call it an Argus. It's 20 eyes compacted against a beating uranium heart. It can roll across the desert continent like an armadillo. The best part is that it's firing atomic beams randomly, making chunks of radioactive glass across the land as it goes.
>>
>>44487551

Maybe Stein should be the one to drizzle blood.
>>
>>44487551
N-Not even a nibble?
Oh why hello there Tsamseth!
Would you like an Ovuul?
Ovuuls are great!
What are you doing? No! Bad! You can't eat my Ovuuls!
>>44487584
W-Whoa. P-Please teach me how to do that Xurdu!
>>
Rolled 9, 3, 8, 16 = 36 (4d20)

Rollan to beat Ernst unconscious
>>
Rolled 5, 7, 9, 12 = 33 (4d20)

>>44487623
Rolling to defend
>>
>>44487611
But I made the bridge better than it was!
Earlier it was doing all sorts of nasty things.
Now, it's just beautiful. Engraved with gemstones and everything.

THE RIDE NEVER ENDS
>>
>>44487617

I'll make a deal. Send mortal merchants to trade with the Uranken people for their mined uranium and radioactive metals. That way, you get to make arguses, and my people will get rich.
>>
>>44487269
Don't touch him!
>>
>>44487671
Alright I'm unconscious. Time passes. I'm not unconscious anymore.
Dredd continues to betray his element. I see no reason why he should have just attacked me, I've done nothing I haven't already payed for.
>>
>>44487723
You spread injustice.
>>
>>44487617
Aww, she likes you!
Oh, and Tsamseth isn't eating them.
That's an eye, not a mouth.
>>44487611
Get a core from Neron.
Here is some void web for strings and whatnots.
Do not feed it to Ovuuls. Do not make it into Ovuuls.
Science first, blood drizzling second.
>>
>>44487716

Fine, but if I can't use Ruuks blood, I'll want your blood. It can be just a finger prick, a hangnails amount. Then, you must drizzle it on this Outsider corpse.
>>
>>44487736
Prove it you hypocrite. I guess the law only works in your favor. That's delicious.
>>
>>44487747

Can I have a core Neron?
>>
>>44487711
Merchants? What are Merchants Xurdu?>>44487716
Nypros! Iv'e heard from the Oviils! They got me a fish! What is this?
>>44487747
O-Oh. Okay. I'll give Tsamseth an Ovuul then.
>>44487758
Don't prick Nypros' blood! Get an Ovuul!
T-Those will work, right?
>>
>>44487788
(And this is why sleeping is important. I'm messing up on my spaces.)
>>
>>44487688
The bridge was a source of pride for the mortals. You tore it down with your divine might. See >>44485562 and >>44485259.
That's oppressive.
>>
>>44487760
The law does not work in my favor.
I work in the law's favor.
>>
>>44487788

Give money and valuable stuff to the Urankens, and they will give you uranium in exchange.
>>
>>44487824

Damn son.
>>
>>44487819

Actually, Stein torn down the bridge......
>>
>>44487837
Money? Valuable stuff?
I can only give them Ovuuls....
>>
>>44487824
Let's see if that's really the case. I demand you stand trial for beating me up without a reason.
>>
>>44487788
Thank you, it's a very cute Ovuul.
We really appreciate it.
Now I'll go watch minds and dreams of mortals again.
I would really like to show my gratitude to Dredd and his Inquisition, so some patrols is the least I could do.
>>
>>44487819
It had all sorts of negative practical effects. Should I tear down my replacement?

That bridge was only a source of pride to a specific subset of very crazy mortals.
>>
Come on OP, get that third thread up and running!
>>
>>44487872
Didn't you start wars among the mortals while we were dealing with the Outsider?
>>
>>44487866
Dredd asked for the bridge to be destroyed in>>44485360. Doesn't really matter who did it though
>>44487887 As a God of Injustice, I'm actually quite happy you did what you did.
>>
>>44487872
Maybe next thread. This one seems ready to go ploop.
>>
>>44487916
I think OP has left the building.
Anyone willing to take up the mantle?
>>
>>44487934
I'll do it
>>
>>44487946
Thank you!
>>
>>44487924
How dare you accuse me of such a thing?
[Spoilers] Secretly. No metagamed evidence should stand in court[Spoilers]
>>
>>44487926
I asked the bridge be torn down because it had negative side consequences, such as many things and people disappearing into it.
>>
>>44487959
Oh okay
>>
>>44487928
Good call
>>44487959
I cannot into formatting in my phone
>>
We need a new thread
>>
>>44487946

Make an updated map!
>>
Done
>>44487991
>>
>>44487926
I think that acquitting the Laughing God kinda set a precedent of not considering the Outsider's creations as legally protected.

And it wasn't Dredd that set that precedent, it was all of us. The jury.
>>
>>44487788
>Gasps
Wow! Did it find the sand?
