How many universes are there like this? Empty, that is. Devoid of the vibrations of energy and matter. A canvas, with the WORD yet unspoken in it. Witness knows. Witness has seen these worlds spiral out from the start of the fractality of existence, and Witness has seen them die - heat deaths of an awful, endless stillnes born of billions of millenia of decay, sunderings in faster than the blink of an eye.

Witness is not a God. He cannot speak the WORD. But perhaps, when one arrives, we can begin the start of everything.

Select a tripcode to become a God, and roll 1d100 to speak the WORD and make things happen. Anonymous players form a Choir to praise or scorn the works of these Gods as they see fit. Witness will observe and depict.

I am the fucking sun, here to shower all with my glory. Prepare for my word.

DOMINA 8:01 - "And thus arrived in silence she who was clad in the radiance of fusion, and the strength of heat burned in her brow, and the light of truth in her eyes. And lo, the empty shell awaited the WORD of Domina."
>>
Rolled 23 (1d100)

Rolling to create a star. Every interval of 10 is another star.

The creation process is pretty simple; I can create a star, my burning children, with a divine soul of another god. Either given willingly as a sacrifice or a lover, or unwillingly as a victim or meal. More divine souls, more stars.

The first WORDs spoken in the empty universe were an elegy, out into darkness. For the light to come, darkness must by definition precede it. You bring from worlds dead and forgotten the light of the two who mattered most to you. The seeds are planted, and thus Domina was given the name She Who Remembers.

"For a brief moment, there existed a world where all that was, and all that would be, was light. And then, the light found Lorshian, and the world was forever marred by Earth." - DOMINA 8:02

What you find beneath your feat is smooth, lifeless, and undivided. The surface of an isolate moon as though without craters, reflecting an infinity of the void. But you stand - and thus, Lorshian was given the name Layer of the Foundation.

>>44489189
Kelrog, you are still silent. When a die roll is provided, perhaps Witness may make out your WORD.

Rolled 21 (1d100)

>>44489086

Rolling to bless my firstborn twin children with the strength of kinship (gravity) to remain together as siblings, and maintain an orbit together as binary stars.

Assume a good roll, they remain as siblings and orbit one another. An average roll they separate, and though remain (relatively) close, establish their own distinct orbits. A poor roll, their kinship is too strong and thereby curse themselves; eventually they will collide, though some benefit in this of becoming a single star greater together than either separate.

Seeing that I am no longer alone in this verse, and that some other reactive entity has taken my lament and sought to preserve it, I seek to make contact with this other entity in my own way.

Rolling to shower my glory upon the first planet via my conjoined child. This is not a spread of kinship yet, just an effort of contact, to give to the planet what the first fire cannot. Result determines intensity of contact, average is an ongoing embrace of warm light, greater and lesser is up to interpretation.

Molinoth shivered, for where there was once the all-warmth and unborn-sleep that was his everything, there was cold and wakefulness.
Where had the warmth-light gone?
Thus the First divine of Creation hatched from his egg. And his egg was Joloth's second Creation. The Satellite of the First World.

Behind him lay his cradle, his home and egg. The great Serpent took his eggshell and swallowed it without thought.
Molinoth looked at the world, and Understanding came. The stars which were once the warmth he knew in his hatching now lined the darkness of Creation.
The First Creations of his Mother and Father, of Domina and Joloth, were the Sun and Earth which lay before him.

Regret flooded through the new divine, his hunger had destroyed his divine father's second Creation, that which had been blessed his his Mother's light.
And so Molinoth made his first Remaking. Regurgitating his eggshell, forming it into a new sphere now infused with the soft light that had reached him through his eggshell.
The Light it held was little, a small child to his Mother's radiance. But the Moon once again stood true in Creation, and now possessed a silvery glow of it's own.

Molinoth looked across the surface of his Father's First creation, and saw it to be now cracked and hollow with Unmaking.
Next he looked to his Father's Third Creation and saw it clogged with Creation.

And so Molinoth undertook his second Remaking. Taking the earth below him he shaped it into great peaks by digging valleys and piling up the new earth, rivalling the caverns below him for splendour. But they remained in forever shadow under the eternal clouds.
Thus the First Child climbed to the top of his highest mountain and reached to the Third Creation of his Father, and made his Third Remaking.
Taking the Sky, he turned the clouds to his Mother's light and burnt it away. But he could not, for all his power, burn all the clouds. Half would forever lie behind the Earth. And so Molinoth again took the Sky, and ripped it apart. Spreading the Clouds and Light-scorched sky evenly he Remade the Sky to bathe the new formed mountains and valleys below with equal Shade and Light.

Ah, I had thought that to be an action to counteract the solar flare. Thus, in the light of the prominence of my anger, I notice a fledgling creation of the Lurker. Maybe not one of his actual shadows, but something nonetheless. I fall upon it with ravenous hunger and consume the entity.

Though it lacks a divine soul, it certainly seems to bear some mark of the divine. It endures the divine process of acting as kindling to a star in the crucible of my womb, though it is a faint comparison to the would-be result of divine essence. Thus, a brown dwarf is birthed. My second, strange and disappointing child. Seeking not to mar the splendor of my firstborn, conjoined child, I push the smaller and darker child away. As its mother I cannot deny my love, but choose to withhold it for the time being. Perhaps in that far-flung darkness of the void, some other god may find comfort or use for it. Maybe even the lurker himself, being that it is in some sense his grandchild, however failed of a result it may be.

>>
>>44492669
I think earlier in the thread, Joloth accidentally scattered sun/starlight so that it may shine equally across worlds or objects within the reasonable distance.

My primary chosen god power at least though is to be able to create actual stars. I can't do it of my own power though, and need the soul/divine essence of another god to do so, since stars in this setting are basically that; the divine souls of gods stripped down to their purest form to shine and burn as stars. As the thread has progressed we've seen other entities or objects capable of filling the same role as a divine soul, but the end result is not the same.

I think that's how things stand in relation to stars, at least that was my intent. If another god wants to trespass into that domain/realm, I imagine a roll is required.

Rolled 78 (1d100)

Feeling bored, I decide to create more Shadows. Every 10 intervals constitutes a Shadow.
>>
>>44492840
>>44492853

The planets are still in a very precarious state, and some of the gods are still content to play the celestial game. I think for life and all that follows, may take some more gods, or at least the cooperation of current gods.

I'd help if I could, but I'm not sure how a burning star goddess can be of much help, more than I already have done.
>>
>>44492949
Excellent. Now the final creation can still be enhanced by your powers.
>>
>>44492973
I'd be tempted to come back in and try with proper rolling -sorry- but Molinoth can only Remake already made stuff. Could make rivers out of a sea but not even a single stream without water already there. Just a giant moon snake god. Not a creator.
>>
>>44492973
Seed the planets with lush green life
who draws their sustenance from your blazing light.

Make their bodies calloused and sturdy
and cover their limbs with green laurels of victory

im runnin off, ill be back later tho. theres some shit goin down on another plane i wanna go watch. see ya
>>
>>44493027
The only life I am aware of are the living shadow celestial, that Lurker and I created together.

I really don't know who in this relationship is the father or mother.
>>
Rolled 9 (1d100)

OH HEAR MY DECREE! I declare the birth of this Shadow to soley used by the powers of Nihil None. Past 50 is a success, and it's powers are limited to 75% of Nihile None.
>>
Rolled 13 (1d100)

>>44493056
Farewell Sleazus.

>>44493028
That's kind of crossing domains I think. I'm already showering the planets with light but that doesn't just magically create life, even plants. We still have a need of a basic terrestrial god to at least provide the building blocks of life, and someone to shape the planets to provide a better climate and means of sustaining life. Though that does remind me of an earlier post, >>44491075

Rolling to try to intensify the starlight, to melt some of the ice, snow and frost, and create liquid water on the planets.
>>
>>44493137
Ah see, nothing. Without another star probably, or something divine to consume or kindle, I remain unable to thaw the frozen nature of the planets.
>>
Rolled 67 (1d100)

I attempt a second go using my previous failure and the brown dwarf to fuel this attempt.
>>
>>44493075
It is done in two attempts.

>>
>>44493181
What attempt is this for?
>>
>>44493308
Retry for creating the Shadow, Nihil wanted.

Rolled 10 (1d100)

>>44493181
Rolling to shed a tear on the second planet, for my second child, used by the Lurker to fuel his shadow making attempts.
>>
Rolled 95 (1d100)

Feeling rather bored, I decided to help ahape the frail planet with less powerful Shadows of my own. Every 7 intervals constituted an egg.
>>
And lo, from the burning light of Domina's conjoined children, the shock of their joining gave birth to another, one of radiant gold and silver. Regolith looked upon the Shadows around him, and he looked at the light that gave birth to him, and sought to hold back the dark that threatened to blot out the love and warmth of Domina's children.

D100, higher the result, the stronger I am.
>>
>>44493536

>>44493536
Molinoth cracks open an eye, scattering rock and earth that had built up over time. The affairs of gods in Creation taking time after all.
Something was... Different, down in the black of the deep caverns's eternal darkness. Like the Serpent was no longer alone down deep below the surface.
And perhaps more importantly, something had... shifted. Another Divine, perhaps? Or something else that can shake the heavens?

50 or above wakes the Remaker Serpent. Below and he falls back into slumber for now.

I'm not sure what you're even doing wrong. "dice+1d100" in the options field, surely?
>>
Rolled 49 (1d100)

>>44493536
One more time
>>
>>44493599
Perhaps, perhaps not. The changes beyond the caverns intruiged Molinoth but sleep held him down stronger than curiosity pulled him away.
Coiling tighter around his own warmth, he slept away the years.
>>
Rolled 91 (1d100)

>>44493599
Roll to awaken the Serpent.
50 or higher passess.
>>
Rolled 31 (1d100)

>>44493604
Pretty strong, welcome to being! Though you may not directly be one of my children, you appear to be a result of their love. Though my hunger yearns to consume you, my heart swells even more, feeling less lonely in this cosmos that has thus far been dominated by dark, lurking, and shadowy gods.

Rolling for prominence, and hopefully as a byproduct, bringing liquid water to the planets.
>>
>>44493670
Not what I'd hoped for, but not terrible. I imagine at least at the portions of the planet closest to my conjoined children, the first star, the cold gives way somewhat and swaths of liquid water form.
>>
>>44493646
The Shadows of the Lurking God wouldn't let the Serpent rest however, and he lashed out blindly, shattering his stone cocoon.
Now fully awake, the little Divine glared about him. Who awoke the dreamer? For what purpose? Within the darkness of the caverns however, the Shadows could not be seen and all were far from Domina's Light.
>>
>>44493740
I require your form, for a quick study.
>>
Rolled 75 (1d100)

>>44493670
Thank you for the warm greeting, Grandmother. I hope to serve as your herald and bastion against the dark gods that lurk in the void.

I shall roll for the creation of my shield, which shall be my bulwark against shadow. Above 50 gets a special power.

(Just realized everyone else has a tripcode. Gonna use one too)
>>
Rolled 78 (1d100)

heya errybody, howz it

WHOA that is a big snake

>>
Rolled 84 (1d100)

>>44493764
Ha! My shield is particularly strong, Grandmother. It shall glow with your radiance, and the light shall be as bright and hot as the ones who birthed me!

I shall now roll for the creation of my weapon, a mace. Same parameters as above
>>
>>44493808
And my mace only more so! When it strikes, it will dispel shadows and create a burst of holy light!
>>
Rolled 57 (1d100)

>>44493764
>>44493808

>tfw you want to consume your grandson to make another star, but he turns out to be your greatest supporter and strong in his own right

Maybe the cosmos is not as dark as I'd once feared. Rolling to personally bless Regolith, since his weapons obviously don't need the help.
>>
>>44493827
Tsk tsk. Try as you might it is a futile effort. For naught I care.
>>
>>44493755
Molinoth shuddered at the unknown voice and its's request. The Earth of his 'Father' beneath him gave him the courage to speak.
Agreed, but in return a favor. An Act of Creation for the Remaker.
>>
Rolled 81 (1d100)

Finally deciding to do what I had been holding off, I decided to study Nihile None's Shadow.
>>
>>44493856
Thank you, Grandmother, for this great blessing of your light! I shall always strive to hold back the shadows.

But an agreement was made! A favor for a favor. Creation is owed here, deep within the earth.

>>44494147
It looks like between the increased stellar intensity due to Regolith's "birth" and >>44494054 Amrito's efforts, liquid water is in relative abundance on at least one of the planets.

It even looks like a life god is trying to emerge. Either way, now seems to be the time for gods to try to create primitive life on the one planet at least.

>Aspect acquired! Drinking partner of Sleazus!

>>44494179
Some, yes. We need more warmth first and.. Actually, that give me an idea.

The cold beneath the earth disturbed Molinoth and so, digging towards the old, old fire-tear of Domina he attempted to Remake it. Infusing it into the deep base of his greatest mountain to create something new. Something that could warm this world.

Hissing, Molinoth recoiled from the fire tear.
While he was not harmed by the ancient flame, it remained out of his grasp. The Creator Gods still had power above him.
And more unfortunately, he was unable to use the tear for his own purpose.

>>44494304
Turning back to Lurker by the dim light of the tear, the Serpent smiled.
I desire.. your Shadow. The Light does not burn me, the Earth is my home. Moonlight is my Creation yet there is one place I cannot travel freely.
Create me wings of night and shadow, forged in the darkest of places of your Shadow. Create me this and our agreement is settled, Void-Crafter.

As of yet of course, I have no means of knowing of the existence of the planetary gods, and assume the planet to just be changing on its own.

Oh, cock.
Shrieking with pain, the child of Light and Earth feels the Shadow bind with him.
The wings, grand as they are, are able to fuse with the Serpent. But they do not heed a new master, not yet. The Moonlight, Molinoth's forged starlight skims off theit inky surface. The pale reflection of Domina's true light unable to pierce it.
The Serpent may be able to travel within the darkness, but his wings remain that of the Lurking God. And will obey him and his children before all others.

Was curious if a Divine who you could control would be interesting. Would have gone on a quest to use Domina's Light to seal it but this works too.
Hissing with the pain, Molinoth and the Lurker try once more, this time using the Shadows to force the Light in, melding the two together into the single entity of Night. Not simple Darkness, not Light but something other.
Thus Night was the Fourth Remaking, crafted together with the Shadow-Smith.

I.. I thank you, Lurker. You did not have to go so far as that. I think I owe you a Favor, if you ever have a wish to claim it. The World Serpent is made this day.

Okay, okay, I can still bring intelligence to the world. A creature in the sea has struck my interest - a creature vaguely like the proto-men that roam the surface, but with webs, and gills. I shall grant them the spark of Curiosity and hopefully not fuck it up this time.
>>
New thread?
>>
Grandmother Domina, there seems to be a new Divine on the scene, callimg himself the World Serpent and Night. Is Night bad? It has light in it, but also shadow.

Wat do?
>>
>>44495369
hmm. i gotta help the humans step up their game.
>>
>>44495369
Okay. This is good. They have changed, a little; becoming more than dumb beasts, yet less than I. With Amrito's permission, I shall bring them into the light of knowledge.
>>
>>44495401
I think we should call it a night at this point. Let the Witness figure out what the hell happened, then continue in the morning with a new thread.
>>
>>44495401
That might be good yeah. Who wants to make it? I could if no one else wants to.

Hopefully we can pick up a Witness or a drawfag as well.

>>44495403
A new divine? I had thought the Lurker was the only other, and of course you now. It sounds like the Lurker has been plying his art to other gods? Maybe it's time for another prominence to see if there are any other gods out there.
>>
Bursting forth from the great caverns of the planet on wings of night, Molinoth flew across the world and and was surprised to see what lay beyond the fountain of divine wine. Life had been formed of many kinds by the new Divines.

There was one act to perform first however, before anything. Climbing up higher and higher, the Moonlight Serpent reached where Regolith and Domina were.. Family.
Greetings to you both, I know you Mother, for it was your Light to greet Joloth, my Father that awoke me. I am Molinoth, the Reshaped. Your Light exists in my Moonlight even now.
I do not recognise you, God. But I see the Light of Domina runs through you as well.

Rolled 11 (1d12)

Very well, looks like everyone is satisfied with the way things are. I guess we pick it up again tomorrow? Rolling for a pulsar, to split the heavens and signal the end of the thread and the first age.

Like a 12 hour clock, numbers represent directions. The main planet is a 1, hopefully that isn't rolled.
>>
If we're not having a new thread soon may as well get a last reply in.
>>44495606
I wonder if this form would still be palatable to you, I am now both Shadow and Earth as well as Light..

And Joloth.. He was the Creator of the Planet and Satellite below. Not long after you first Spoke the Word, you shone your Light to him and to me when I was but an egg. I know not what became of him since I hatched. Resting or destroyed from the effort of Creation, perhaps. He was- is the Earth the Gods today play with life upon.

>>44495534
Molinoth, Brother. Though I suppose the name is not inappropriate for the child of Earth.
>>
Cya.
>>
Okay, I only joined recently, but this is pretty fucking fun, I have to say. Love playing the god of knowledge who tries to be dramatic but just sucks. Happy new year to y'all, see you next thread.
>>
>>44495835
Only unpalatable if my glory is perverted. At the end of all things it shouldn't greatly matter since your proper form is a star, like your conjoined siblings.

All this information though of the new world, all these other gods as well. Suffice to say I'm glad the pulsar missed.

I suppose the question of concern is, how long the Lurker has known all this, and been acting upon it...
>>
>>44495534
>>44495835
Just going to point out that Regolith is your Nephew, not Brother.
>>
>>44495976
Well technically none of us are actually literally related. It seems the both of them are the result of my swinging my divinity around like a sledgehammer. Regolith sprung to being from the shock of the twin suns colliding, and Molinoth emerged from Joloth interfering with starlight.

Of course it isn't of that much concern since it's all divine fuckery.
>>
>>44495976
They're gods, and Molinoth is of the "sprang fully formed from his father's brow" kind of thing. He hatched from the Moon after all. As a snake. Because gods do that.
Plus he doesn't know exactly how he's related.

>>44495970
My form is starlight, to be sure. But a star? Not quite. I am the Moon I hatched from. The reflected and reforged glow of your shattered sunlight is mine. The sparks throughout the void are points of my light.
As for the Shadow Lord.. I do not know.. Precisely how the Lurker has acted. Merely my personal dealings.
>>
night guys, see ya tomorrow
>>
>>44496074
I speak literally when I mean star. If indeed you have a god's soul, a mark of the divine, then stripped bare only a star would remain. As such is the case with the conjoined twins, the brown dwarf, and any other starts I might happen to create, they're basically just pure, bare divine spirits, shining and burning clear in the void.

As for the Lurker, this news is distressing. After resting to consider how to proceed, I'll likely bring about another prominence to see if I can find him or at least his shadows.
>>
>>44496182
Seeya, think that's it for me too. Try and get some beer in next time. Wait, maybe we should get the dorf analogues to make it.
Either way, put the thread on suptg if you wanna upvote it. It'll be on 4plebs no matter what though.
>>
As the Pulsar tears across the fabric of reality, I awaken in its passing.

I see the workings of the elder Deities and desire a place of my own.

Rolling to create a third planetoid.

Rolled 32 (1d100)

>>44496374
And I forgot my roll.
>>
>>44496374
Welcome to play! Sorry it was in the twilight hours of the first thread.

On a semi-related note, some god sacrifice themself so I can make another star. If not now, then I wholly expect a god served up fresh and ready on a silver platter with an apple in their mouth.
>>
>>44496400
Looks like it's a tiny planet. I'll put it right on the opposite side of the first world from the second world
>>
>>44496422
I appreciate the gesture.

Must you consume a god to fuel your creations. Are there not... alternate means to conceive your children?
>>
>>44496448
Tried once, got lazy.
>>
>>44496484
What if another God assisted? In a very hands-on and intimate manner?
>>
>>44496448
A god's soul is needed for a proper star. Godspawn, creations or demigods result in lesser or even failed stars. For example, earlier in the thread I consumed a lesser shadow of the Lurker, which resulted in a brown dwarf.

Other methods are possible, like divine conception with a lover. Though like a mantis, I'd just try to eat the other god after.
>>
>>44496426
Wonder if I'll get a moonbro out of this?
Actually, I wonder how long it'll be until the Earth spawns it's own descent God.
...I should get some life gods to populate my moon next thread. It's just a glowing ball of rock right now.

>>44496597

>>
Rolled 60 (1d100)

HEAR MY DECREE! MY WORD IS AS FOLLOWS! 50+ creates a Divine Shadow. Anything less creates Shadows.
>>
>>44496639
I still don't know what a shadow is.
>>
>>44496597
Maybe try tomorrow? Something like conceiving a star may be better suited to an active thread, not on auto-sage.

Also worth noting that star creation-based god consuming, sacrifice, killing, or whatever other means can be done with any divine soul. So if a generous Choir player wants to whip up throwaway god that only lasts a few posts, I can eat them like tic tacs and birth stars at the same rate.

>Brand new god emerges into being, curious to their new universe
>Not moments after coming into creation, they get consumed by the starmother original god

I should get Molinoth or Regolith to start collecting new gods...
>>
>>44496568
Take the most recent one. DS.
>>
>>44496647
Trust me. It is like it's there/not there, and fucking near eternal.
>>
>>44496647
Not-Light, I'd say. A divine being akin to an angel, but one of not-light rather than Law or Good or similar.

>>44496668
I was planning on coming up with something for the next thread. Bit more that just a "oh hey. Bye now, gonna be eaten".

Kind of like what we've got going too. Regolith is the loyal son, bright and glorious. While Molinoth is an unexpected divine who's literally clad in your opposite. Probably gonna get some mortal cults to the duality of it all in the end.
Got -plans- for Molinoth too...
>>
>>44496639

Depending on how you choose to create it, an earlier god deemed that the cosmos is quite cold, so a new planet could emerge frozen and icy, and then you just have to figure out how to melt it all.

Or, you could talk to Amrito, he's basically the ocean god and water bringer.
>>
>>44497184
Hello new friend! Your creatures are very fascinating! I hope you will meet with us tomorrow, the more the merrier. Just steer clear of the velociogliders.
