Reverse Engineer Elite Advent Mech [5 MIL, 30 ENG, 1 Elite Advent Mech, weeks] So far this is the most dangerous mechanical enemy we have encountered. I will see if i can make something good out of it.

So we needed 3 rolls on a d6.
Does that mean that one soldier with a TES weapon can fire 3 times?
Do we need 3 TES weapons to make 3 TES rolls?

If soldiers can take multiple actions, how many steps should we outline in our tactics?

Also, since we recovered the mech wrecks that were covered in whatever poison Hive used, shouldn't we have been able to recover undamaged Advent Body Armor and Advent Weapon Fragments?

>Ask for advice from Bradford and Robert
We do need to find Advent patrols and lightly defended installations, for the acquisition of basic salvage as well as to provide Squaddies and Rookies with a chance to get combat experience without overwhelming danger; especially since we don't have LOKI-1 and GOLIATH-2. We also need the salvage to pay off the Exalt weapons dealer; we need a steady supply of rockets and grenades.
Recommend a course of action to find these easier missions now so that we don't have to choose between a supply run and actually hitting an important target.
>>
>>44942642
>our dud base in north Korea has been wiped out
Did this decrease Advent Awareness, or just keep it at 60% for a while longer?
>>
>>44942753
keep it at 60%
>>
>>44942779
So we need to keep building those Dud Bases until our cloaking field generator is complete.
That's going to be a while, since we lack the corpses to take the next step.

I hate to leave those Engineers in China hanging, especially since we need them if we want to complete the big ticket projects like MEC, MELD, and ISTHMUS, but being able to undertake two missions at once is too great of a benefit to ignore.

Much to your surprise, the boneyard didn't have a soul in it. Your team secured the parts, you also found a small explosive box in the midst of the wreck. The voice spoke once more as you were ideally chatting with Ann, it was somehow less stern than before "There is no room for vulnerabilities...you must prepare yourself for the dangers looming. The frozen vessel awaits your kin."

You could have saved us all this grief.

Can we see if there are gulper corpses available for purchase.

>Chance of being detected 60%

I'm not liking that number, we need to get the AEGIS up already, I believe.
>>
>>44948308
Did you forget that the Aegis is the easiest discovered base?
Until we have a cloaking field, it's completely exposed.
Getting it operational is a month where we can't do research or projects. And then we'd get whacked as soon as it went online because there's nothing to hide its thermal or electrical signature.
>>
>>44948408
Well geez, why do you thinking im asking if we can buy gulper corpses.
>>
>>44948417
have we ever 'bought' any alien corpses so far you dumb fuck?
We only SELL shit to ___.clnt
>>
>>44948417
Fortunefinder doesn't sell corpses, from what we've seen of their wares. No one is selling unless we find a new seller.
>>
>>44948469

what if we put a bounty up for gulper corpses with the mercs since they'll fight for anyone with cash.
>>
>>44948569
STOP

Just fucking stop.

guys
that might be risky and/or someone will hate us for that
but there's like 10 cooperative gulpers on that ship, so if we REALLY need one...
>>
>>44948719

Hmm, that might work. How about instead of killing them, scan them? No vivisection but a physical.
>>
>>44948744
like a CT scan or an MRI?
i really doubt that we can find an hospital to help with that
also, i think they're only on our side because the rogue is mindcontrolling them, so that might be another issue
>>
>>44948811
Not that kind but there must be some kind of field scanners that our science boys use when they come into the field, like that poor guy that tried to take a crop sample.

And if they were being mindcontrolled, well then all bets are off if they're going to attack us.
>>
>>44948885
he's probably still using them to protect the ship (as said before) but we don't know what their limits are

we need fresh corpses .

One of the reasons the fourth player claimed our retreat from Aegis was a success was our pacifist retreat. Anything done to these gulper will undermine everything we done so far.

It was another distinctive gravely voice, it was more sinister in a comic-like fashion "So this is the man we have been 'working' with? It won't matter. Exalt is now under a management, fighting the aliens was a dire mistake we committed for years and years to no end. As we are hunting down those of our own who refuse our new ideology, I just wanted to inform you that you and your pity operation are next. Expect The end of the XCOM project by the end of the month. One by one, everyone will fall to the grace of our Alien overlords."

Just like that the transmission has ended.

fug.

Contact our usual exalt contact. They need help.

Also even if its to just transfer things to the AEGIS and not move the ship from its ice, we need to start moving. Our base location is probably quite compromised.
>>

well fuck me.

our line is already compromised anyway

it is mostly random.

yeah, we have to catch a few gulpers and FAST
>>

Well send it in anyways and send a note that we'll be willing to pay extra for current exalt intel if they have it.

The personnel that exalt sent us.

Debrief them. We need to know what they know of the schism.
>>
>>44949575
Point but at this moment, this is just setting up feelers so we don't fall behind. We might very well end up getting intel about a remnant cell in time to launch a rescue mission.
>>
>>44949591
After debriefing the scientists and engineers brought by Exalt, they claimed they were hired by exalt, they had little contact with the organization.

[1 Day has passed, Stun lancer autopsy has been completed]

Commander, Our new V-S6 Combat Stimulant will highly increase the soldiers performance, after injecting it in the adrenal glands, it will be released whenever the solider is in a panicked situation making him/her more resistant to such state. It is like an adrenaline surge or rush. But beware commander, my initial result indicates a small chance of heart attack after countless deployment into missions and dealing with this stress. I suggest the injected solider would alternate from now on.

And that concludes our short-ish thread, thank you for participating.

we didn't paid for it in the first place. I considered debriefing exalt's men as the better choice in this situation

Oh... My bad. Thats something we can do next session. It's been one day after all.
