PASTEBIN ANON’S PASTEBIN: http://pastebin.com/GhipxW4w

PREVIOUSLY: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?searchall=Star+Wars%3A+Fortune+Hunter

While still in orbit over Naboo, you and your crew awaited the arrival of Jennis D’Leer, scavver and merchant. You hadn’t made a commitment to search any of the potential locations of the Katana Fleet: Alpheridies, Tython, or the far edge of the galaxy. And for good reason, because although the trails in the nav logs end in those three spots, it doesn’t mean that the Katana Fleet will be at either location. If anything, it’s just another mystery as why this even is.

But you weren’t concerned with that mystery. You were concerned with the mystery of the Jedi, the Sith, and the Force for now. You were in your quarters, poring over notes and illegal holobooks that had escaped the revisionist eye of Emperor Palpatine.

Most of all, your concern was with the Inquisitors, and what exactly they were after. As a Flight School Cadet, you and your class had only heard rumors of agents serving Lord Vader and the Emperor across the Galaxy. Clad in black armor and wielding lightsabers, they hunted the Empire’s enemies from the shadows. They weren’t like Storm Commandos or the obsolete Imperial Commandos carried over from the Clone Wars, these guys meant business. And those two Inquisitors on your tail felt absolutely awful, even from a distance. Even thinking about them was making your skin crawl.

And yet, they were weirdly cute at the same time. If you got past the black armor, the standoff-ish attitude and the weird cultist vibe you got from them, they might be a pretty fun duo to lay bones with. Not the first twins you’ve had in bed after all. Of course, you’re not going to get past any of that. Not even your skillful charm can get them to drop the bantha apples.

[1/3]
>>
>>44989826
[2/3]

Regardless, they were shadowy enough to escape mention in almost every official documentation of Imperial activities. Even illegal documents, even Rebel Alliance propaganda fails to understand what Inquisitors are exactly.

But, you did find out why exactly Alpheridies isn’t the best place to go for Misri, and a little something else about Admiral Daas Reike.

The door into your quarters opens up to reveal Misri. She smiles happily, leaning on the door. “Guess who just scored her first sim kill?” She points to herself, grinning happily as she pulls off her newly fitted helmet, walking towards you as well. “This gal!” She continues grinning, but her smile drops when she realizes you aren’t paying attention. “… hey, Rhys.” She waves her hand in front of your eyes as you read. “You in there?”

“Yes,” you say. You sigh, leaning back to look at her. “Sorry, Misri. I’m a little busy catching up on some things.”

“Ooooh.” She looks at the holobooks spread in front of you. “Reading stuff. Okay, I get you.” She sits down on your bed, her legs swinging back and forth. You sigh, looking at her.

“How difficult was it?” you ask.

“Super difficult,” she says. “Like, I don’t know how you do it!”

You scoot your chair back a bit. “Look. There’s a simple principle in dogfighting that many veterans like myself understand. It’s called Dive, attack, run away, repeat. If you can’t get him on the first pass, don’t chase him. Just run away. Come back later. Works if you’re using a pretty fast ship.”

“I see.” She crosses her arms, looking at your holobooks. “So er…” You tilt your head. “Reading anything cool?”

“Nothing you’d be interested in,” you say bluntly.

[2/3]
>>
>>44989842
[3/3]

“I’d totally be interested!” You drop a huge holobook in her lap, and she flinches at the weight and scale of it. “… the hell is this?”

“A Complete History of Coruscant by Jeen Kee-Gan. It’s 2,000 pages. Don’t worry, there are footnotes in the margins,” you explain.

She sighs, opening it up and looking at it. “… I just realized, I’m not much of a reader.” You take it from her again. “Hehe…” She twiddles her fingers, smiling at you. “Anyway, I- uh… I won’t bother you.” She stands up, walking to the door.

“Oh?” You look back at her. “Something the matter?”

“Oh, nothing!” She walks to the door, grinning very nervously. “Just- I gotta polish my new ship and er, fix some dents you put in my bike too and R2 really wants me to give him a scrubdown as well and er…” She slowly walks to the door.

> “If you’ve got a problem with me, say it.”

“If you have a problem, Misri. Just come out with it,” you say. She stops at the door, biting her lip. “Look, we’ve been working together for a while now. You can be honest with me. Is there something that’s bothering you?”

She sighs, then walks over to you, slowly. “When we were escaping from Lotte you got really angry.” You nod. Of course you were angry. “And, while I can understand that you might be mad about it erm… you scared me. Like, really legitimately scared me. Like you were going to kill someone scared me.” Well. You technically did kill a few people. “Look. Think of it this way, I once almost killed someone because they spilled their pop drink all over my bike back on Coruscant. We all have our days, I just hope you don’t have another day like that again.”

“I’ll try not to,” you say. “Don’t worry about it, okay, Misri?”

She smiles a little, nodding. “Alright. Erm, I’ll just let you do your stuff then.” She sways her hips a bit as she turns around, walking away. And with that, she shuts the door behind her. Hmph, so what if you got a little too angry? It’s not like you hurt her or anything. You shake your head, sighing.

The Chain Gang docks alongside the Lion’s Share. You trust her enough now to let your ships dock in between them without risk of any funny business. She appears through one of the escape pod hatches, smiling. “Hey, hey!” She holds out her arms for a hug. “C’mere ya big lug!” You hug her, patting her on the back. “Oh, y’all are a sight for sore eyes!” She grins happily, letting go of you. A pair of old B1 battle droids step in alongside her, those are new.

“Yeah, you too, Jennis,” you say. “Me and my crew are looking to shop around a bit.”

“Sure!” she says. “Tell you what though, I got something you’re really going to love that I was towing around! I gots a new power generator!” Oh? You were looking for something to upgrade the ship’s power systems. This might do it. “And tell you what! As my best customer, I’ll let you have it for free!”

“Oh, I couldn’t do that,” you say.

“He will,” says R5 as he rolls past. Well, you will. He’s not wrong.

“Take it!” She slaps your chest, pouting. “It’s a matter of Zygerrian hospitality. We help those that help us, yeah?” She smiles. “Now tell me, other than the power generator, are you looking for anything new? I can’t stick around long, so sorry but try and make things punctual, alright?”

> Forget it, I’ll just write everything that’s for sale.

“Well, if you don’t have a whole lot of time, show me your Starfighter stuff first,” you explain.

“Oh, sure thing!” She pats you on the shoulder. You motion your crew in to follow you. “Come on! Come on! Lemme show y’all the bountiful fruits of my labor!” You arrive in the cargo hold of her Gozanti. Judging by how much bigger it looks, she must have had the hold expanded considerably since you last saw the ship. You know that the Empire uses Gozantis for everything from TIE Fighter carrier to AT-AT dropship, but Jennis appears to be taking the heavy lifter up to its name. “Feel free to look around, see what ya like! And if we got time, I can show you around the rest of the ship too!”

Kuvasz immediately gravitates towards the blasters. Vikker as well. Misri however starts walking towards the droid parts with R5, R2, R3, and Lev. Sparks, being Sparks, unfortunately had to be left behind and you can hear him whining in loneliness from your ship.

“Sure thing,” you say. “What do you have?”

“Well, for your R-22, we have…”

> Starfighter Parts

> 5,000 Credits: Improvised astromech droid port, for fitting to the front of the ship. It’ll be a tight squeeze for whatever poor droid you stick in there.
> 10,000 Credits: Twin laser cannons, to supplement the R-22’s already formidable arsenal.
> 7,000 Credits

> Lion’s Share Parts

> 20,000 Credits: Expanded Engine Banks, adding on four thrusters from an old CR70 Corvette will enhance the speed of the Lion’s Share considerably. It won’t be a YT-1300 but you’ll be one step closer.
> 15,000 Credits: MS-1 Heavy Laser Cannons, for ground strafing operations and for when you really need to feel like a big guy. Don’t ask where she got these. I guess it can be used for anti-Starfighter duties if you’re feeling especially foolhardy.
> 12,000 Credits: Scrap Recovery apparatus, for the Lion’s Share to pile up all scrap and debris from battles for Misri to use in her pet projects. Most of it can’t be sold, but she can find a use for it somehow someway.

Misri is also great.

I'd like to see Rhys work out some of his issues learn to chill a little bit.

I'd like to see Misri become a great pilot.

I still want Lev dead.

R5 is a good guy.

Everyone seems to be posting about the Furies.. but they're incredibly boring to me. Look we're cute and we're mando! Kawaii uuguu~

The story feels like any other sweeping pulp adventure (much like Magical Girl Liberty was), which is a good thing. You can't exactly call it a story of high heroics, but it is a relatively grand story. I like it.

I like most of the characters, whether as they are or merely what they add to the plot. Rhys is my favorite, thogh we do get more time with him than anyone else obviously. I like our elderly mandolorian second best. A checkered past, an honest heart that's trying his best while having done some bad shit, and trying to keep going at it while feeling his age more and more.

He's the classic father gone counterfoil to Rhys. While both are selfish he can bring himself to actually put his welfare above any morals or desires he may posses. Yet he's not a sociopath, and cares for his crewmates and has an ear to the ground. That and his comedy relief and real emotional reactions (whether being touched at his rescue or furious over being big damn heros when its not savvy to be so) help make him memorable. Honest to God I think he'll probably spend most of his big haul on female companionship whether he realizes it or not haha. He also has the background most similar to rhys in that he's just a bastard, not a fighter or some other archetype, and perhaps has the closest perspective to Rhys, though far from the exact same..

“M’kay.” Jennis goes through your purchases. “So, your Mando friends wants the S-5 Blaster Pistol, and he’s also picking up a DLT-20A and a DE-10 Blaster Pistol. Your Aqualish friend is also buying himself a couple of holobooks and some er…” She quirks her brow. “Interesting holovids.” You roll your eyes. Of course he’s not buying anything useful. “And as for your blind friend there, we have some droid parts, she’s buying engine parts as well, as well as some tools to help her restore an old fighter.” You nod. “And you’ve got your stuff as well…”

“How much?” you ask.

“For you?” She smiles. “41,200 credits.”

“Oh?” you cross your arms. “I mean, I was looking at those rocket boots and the twin lasers for my Starfighter, I don’t suppose we can squeeze those in.”

She smiles, standing on her newly renovated catwalk over the cargo bay. You worked the crew into helping her fix up the ship, which got you a pretty little discount if you do say so yourself. “Oh, I shouldn’t. You’re nice, Rhys, but not that nice.”

“Come on. Can’t you imagine me flying around, swooping you up and taking you into my arms?” You smirk, leaning next to her. She bites her lip, giggling embarrassedly. “Come on, think about it.” You whisper into her ear.

“Ooh…” She listens in on what you have to say. “Oh, oh!” She yelps, going red in the cheeks. “Rhys- Rhys, stop it!” She slaps your shoulder, causing you to laugh and step away. Just gotta give her some time to process that. “That is the- you are an absolute…” She looks you up and down, panting a little in anticipation. “I don’t know what ya think you er…” She coughs, whistling.

“Aw, come on.” You lean in closer, your breath making her ear quiver and twitch. She giggles embarrassedly, trying to look away from you. “Do you need some privacy? We can talk about this more in your quarters if you want.” You muster a bit of bravado, then gently kiss at her ear.

“Ah!” She slaps your chest, her face red shining red like an alarm. “You-“ You kiss it again. “Aaha! Stop it! Stop it!” You lean back, smirking. She blinks, then looks at you with a frown. “… why’d ya stop?”

You gently pat her thigh. “Come on.” She nods quickly, biting her lip happily as the two of you hurry to her quarters.

“Mmmm…” You lay your arm around her as the two of you rest beneath her covers. “I guess time ain’t so much money with ya around, Rhys. Unf…” You gently kiss the back of her neck, and she grins, writhing underneath your embrace. “Ah, stop it!” She looks back at you. “They’d never look at me the same back home if they knew I was miscegenating with a human.”

“Well, like the parts I want, I guess we can keep it between us, right?” you ask.

She sighs, then kisses her cheek. “Fine, just this once. You can have ‘em for free. Don’t make me be a skinflint.” She curls up tighter, her naked form still feeling a bit sweaty and heated up from your “aggressive negotiating”. She looks back at you. “Go ahead and get dressed too, your people are probably worried sick about ya, I declare.”

“Ah, come on.” You kiss her ear again.

“Ah!” Her ear twitches in response. “Oh, you are just asking for it now!” she says flirtingly. You are, actually. You kiss it again, and she giggles loudly as she tries to fight you away.

“I will in fifteen minutes,” you say. She yelps at the squeeze of her buttock from you.

“Ah! Rhys!” She squeals happily, her face going red again as she grips hugs her pillow tight. “You said five minu- Ahah!” You take her ear in your mouth, licking and suckling on it. “Aahh! You finally step back into your ship, to meet Lev standing in front of the docking port. “Sir.”

“Lev,” you say, pulling on your jacket a little bit.

“… That was an hour, sir.”

You shrug, giving him a very smug smirk. “Hey, you lose track of time when you’re having fun. What did Tyber want to tell me about?” And besides, you can’t enjoy the full pleasures of a Zygerrian female’s very particular biology in just five minutes.

He pulls out his holopad to you. “He is still on hold, sir.” You motion Lev to patch it through.

“Rhys Cykgil.” Tyber Zann sounds annoyed as can be. “I appear to have called you at a very inopportune time!” he says very sarcastically. “I’ve come to talk with you about the job you offered.”

You scratch the back of your head, looking at the ball of distorted static that ought to be Tyber Zann’s face. “Yeah? What about it?”

“I heard from some of my agents that you are hunting the Fleet in the employ of the Empire,” he says. “And after I made such a generous offer to you. What do you have to say for yourself?” He should’ve thrown in some Zygerrians maybe.

“Oh?” His tone changes considerably. You’re not sure what it is now until he continues on. “Hm. Do you have any leads?”

“A few, nothing solid enough that I can inform you about,” you say. “Listen, I’ll call you later about this. Right now, I can’t take your money, they’d never trust me same as if I took their money. I need to keep my accounts clear so as not to raise any suspicions.”

“Fine,” he says angrily. “But you are testing my patience, Rhys. If I find out that you are going behind my back, I will have you disintegrated. Let me remind you, I am watching you. And I am closer than you think. This call is over.” The holopad’s transmission cuts out, leaving you with just Lev.

You all sit in the cockpit, watching the blue streaks of hyperspace fly right on by. It had been some time going from Naboo all the way to the Inner Core, but you cut that down quite a bit thanks to the fact that the major Hyperspace lanes were now open to you by the Empire. Had you continued on, it would’ve taken weeks, now it’s just days. You were about to reach the strange world of Tython. “I’ve never heard of it,” says Misri. “What is Tython?”

“It used to be an ancient homeworld of the Jedi,” you say. “Forgotten a few times, reclaimed, then forgotten again as the Jedi grew to prominence. Last time I heard though, only a few select people were allowed on its surface.”

“Why’s that?” she asks.

Kuvasz grunts. “According to the Jedi, Tython glows with the power of the Dark Side.” You roll your eyes, typical. “Some catastrophe, long forgotten as to what it was, saturated the planet with the negative energy of the Dark Side.”

“Yeah, yeah,” you say. “What they really mean is probably some big gas leak or something or the atmosphere going funky.”

Misri pouts a bit. “You don’t believe in the Dark Side?”

“Oh, that thing you just learned about ten seconds ago?” you say. “Of course I do!” You shake your head. “Listen, Misri. I know you think the Force might be a real thing, but let me tell you, it’s not. It’s all a bunch of parlor tricks and cheap illusions.”

“I wouldn’t say that,” says Kuvasz.

“Well, you’re old, Kuvasz,” you say. “You might be getting demented in your twilight years.” He shrugs, continuing to relax in his seat.

You pop out of hyperspace. The view of the planet however is naught in comparison to those flashes of light. Lasers. And what appear to be around an old Imperial Venator-class Star Destroyer. Your communications ring up. “Sir.” Lev addresses you. “We are receiving a distress signal from ISD Liberator.” Liberator? No, it couldn’t be.

“Sir.” Lev looks to you. “It appears the Rebels are jamming the Liberator’s transmissions.” You look out there.

Vikker stands up. “What are they doing use a yacht to attack a Star Destroyer?”

“That’s no yacht,” you declare. “It’s a Mon Calamari Cruiser.” That and a trio of extremely old Hammerhead Corvettes. And what looks to be a squadron of X-Wings and Y-Wings too.

> Get in your fighter.

You burst out of your seat and grab your flight helmet and life support harness. “Rhys!” yells Vikker. “Ah hell, come on!” Kuvasz, Misri, and Vikker quickly get up and hurry after you to the cargo bay. With the way things are arranged now, the Starfighters were now hanging off the ceiling off the cargo bay, with Misri’s N-1 still undergoing restoration. To her great chagrin, she’ll have to stay behind.

“Misri!” you shout as you mount into your R-22. “Take control of the ship! Lev and R5 will handle gunnery duties! Keep out of the fight until I say to come in!”

“Got it!” She hurries back to the cockpit. You pull the cockpit down then get your mask on and your sunvisor down. With a quick roll of the shoulders and a flex of your fingers, you grab the controls.

R5 handles the loading and lifting duties. “Stand by for launch.” Kuvasz and Vikker mount into the H-Wing through the top hatch. And as for you, you’re getting a new friend in your R-22. R3 mounts into the new astromech mount on your R-22, and immediately whistles in glee.

Your computer translates it as: “IT IS TIME TO KILL, KILL, KILL!”

… You have one very vicious astromech.

Your R-22 is carted into place first. Sparks is second in line, happily squealing and chirping in joy as he finally gets to deploy. “Deploying,” says R5. With a loud snap, your R-22 falls out of the hangar and into space, and immediately you blast the engines. Sparks follows next, his ion engines screaming behind you. And finally, the H-Wing as well. You form into a V-formation, you on point, the H-Wing on your left and Sparks on your right.

“Sir.” Lev reports to you. “I am detecting at least twenty Rebel X-Wings and five Y-Wings in the battle, in comparison to fifty TIE Fighters.” Wow. Those cadets have a numerical advantage and they –still- can’t win!? What are they teaching them down there!?

You turn on the comms and tune it to the old signal. Hopefully it’s still valid. It’s an older comms code but hopefully it checks out. Finally, you get a signal. “Where are they!? I’ve got fighters on my tail! Somebody help me!” yells a panicked female Flight cadet. “They’re too fast!”

“This is Rhys Cykgil,” you declare. “Who am I speaking to?”

“Wh- who are you-“

“Who are you?” you respond.

“M- my name is- d- Designation DS-“

You sigh. “I said your name.”

“Er- uh… Merena! My name is Merena! What-“

“I am in the R-22 backed up by the Vulture Droid and the H-Wing, we are coming to your assistance.”

“Oh thank the Emperor!” she cries. “We’re getting our butts handed to us out here! Wh- what do you want us to do!?”

Who is handling the Turret gunner for the H-Wing? I thought R-3 wanted to be the gunner.
>>

R3 wanted to be your co-pilot first. He's going to learn very quickly that he'll prefer to be in the H-Wing.

As for turret gunner, the H-Wing doesn't have a turret gunner except for Vikker who has to switch between roles for now.

> “We’re going to engage their fighters, follow my lead.”

You fly past a stricken group of TIE Fighters, who immediately rally behind you. “Merena, form your squadrons on me. We’re going to engage those fighters first, we take out the fighter screen, the ships will be helpless against your bombers and any reinforcing Star Destroyers.”

“Copy!” she yells. “Squads 1 and 2, form on me!” Two squadrons of TIE Fighters fly in behind the three of you. First target will be the Y-Wings, pelting the Liberator with proton torpedoes and ion cannons. They’ve got a screen of X-Wings however. But with you at the helm, the Empire should have it in the bag.

“Merena, when we attack, go for a single pass then speed away! Use that energy to turn back and go for another one, do not attempt to dogfight the X-Wings! You’re faster than them so use it!” you call.

“Got it!” she responds back. Good at taking orders at least.

All of you spin left, then dive down on the group of Y-Wings. With the element of surprise at your side, your laser blasts rip and tear through their engines, shattering all of the Y-Wings and destroying two of their X-Wing screen. The TIE Fighters split off from you, speeding away around the Liberator. They’ll probably come up from underneath it for another pass.

“What the hell is that!?” The Rebel pilots call over your comms. “What’s that R-22 doing!? Isn’t he one of ours!?”

“By the Force, I recognize those markings!” yells one of the X-Wing pilots. “It’s Rhys Cykgil! Frak this I’m out of here!” One of the X-Wings immediately jumps out of the battle. Smart.

But now you have sixteen or seventeen or so X-Wings coming in, head on. Turbolaser fire trading between the corvettes and the Cruiser versus the Liberator are almost blinding you but you can see them lock S-Foils into attack position now. “Alright, Sparks, Kuvasz, break left!” They spin left, gathering five X-Wings to go after them. That just leaves the other twelve or so for you.

Well, twelve in that, the TIE Fighters come back and strafe them suddenly. Three of the X-Wings evaporate under the sheer firepower. Inaccurate, but still helpful. You spin your R-22 right and fly right between. Right, time to test the new thrusters. You break right, hard.

And in doing so, you almost slam your head against the cockpit walls. Your vision goes black around the edges as well. It almost feels like the blood is swishing around inside of you.

These thrusters are awesome!

You zap an X-Wing that falls out of formation, then fly right through their group again.

“What the hell is going on!?” yells a Rebel pilot.

“I’m losing control of the situation! Wait, no-“ His transmission is cut off. You spotted Sparks vaping an X-Wing, that must have been him.

“Retreat, retreat!” yells the X-Wing fighter leader. “Get back to the cover of the cruiser!”

How is the Liberator Saved?

We still need to deal with the three corvettes and the MC80 Liberty.
>>
>>44999403
No fighter escort means the Star Destroyer can bombard with impunity.
>>
>>44999430
but if they focus fire on the Star Destroyer they might have a chance. It seems that that they are only equipped with the fighter versions of the TIE and the MC80 is heavily Shielded so if it tanks the one Destroyer the Corvvettes can continue to focus fire in return.
>>
>>44999403
The Venator has much heavier weapons. If they're not disabled it could wipe out those corvettes qucikly and the MC80 has great shields but less firepower. I honestly think the Mc80 could take out the star destroyer but they'd lose their allies in the process.

In general Rebels = Better fighters
Empire = Better capital ships.

>>44999469

>>
> Let them go, the Liberator’s saved.

“Alright, alright, pull back. The fighters are retreating,” you say. The X-Wings retreat out of sight into the hangar bay of the Mon Calamari Cruiser. That just leaves the big ships to deal with. “Liberator, you’re clear! Start focusing your fire on the corvettes!”

“Copy,” says the Captain. The heavy turbolaser batteries open fire on the Hammerhead corvettes. One of them is vaporized instantly by the barrage, while the others attempt to hide behind the heavy shielding of the Mon Calamari cruiser. “Damn! It’s no use! We can’t penetrate that shield!”

“Kuvasz, Misri, Sparks, follow me in. We’re going in close.” All of your ships form up, circling around the Mon Calamari cruisers towards the remaining corvettes. “Open fire!” The heavy firepower of all your ships, the new Turbolaser, the concussion missiles, all of them rip up and tear at the cowardly little corvettes.

“They’re shredding us! We’re getting killed out here!” yells a Corvette captain. “Wait, no, no!” A proton torpedo from the H-Wing shatters the bridge of the last corvette, sending it falling towards Tython’s orbit.

“We’re taking too many losses, full retreat!” yells the captain of the Mon Calamari Cruiser. The Mon Calamari Cruiser starts flying upwards, in attempt to escape the battle. Damn it! They’re getting away! Before you can do anything about it however, it disappears into hyperspace, leaving nothing but a cloud of debris from what was its escorts.

“Whooo!” yells Misri back. “Yeah! We got ‘em! Give yourselves a hand everybody!”

“WE DID NOT KILL ALL OF THEM,” R3 yells over the computer. “NEXT TIME, I WANT TO BE IN THAT TURRET.” Calm down, R3.

A TIE Fighter flies alongside you. “Hey, Captain Cykgil! It’s me, Merena! I’m in the TIE Fighter next to you!” She wiggles her TIE Fighter in response, trying to get your attention. “Come aboard the Liberator, I and everybody in my squadron wants to thank you personally!”

“A little detour wouldn’t hurt I suppose,” you say. “Misri, can you start scavving out here on your own?”

“Will do!” she says.

“Alright, Kuvasz, Vikker, you two are coming with me.” Your ships fly towards the burning but still relatively stable ISD Liberator. As you approach, a huge rush of nostalgia suddenly gets at you. You’re no longer flying in an R-22, you’re not in your late twenties anymore, and you’re not beat up over the Empire.

You place your hand against the cockpit window as you approach. Instead, you’re on a shuttle, approaching it. You’ve already received your new orders. In the package in front of you is your new uniform, a manual on the TIE Fighter, another manual on what to expect in Flight School. The tapping of your feet against the floor was probably the loudest thing there. Most disappointingly, they retired the V-Wings before you enlisted so you weren’t going to get to fly those, not unless you went back in time.

“Nervous?” You look to your left to see a girl sitting next to you. Messy blonde hair done into a tight folded ponytail behind her head, pretty little eyes too, nice legs to boot. She must have caught you staring, because she cleared her throat. “Ahem. Are you nervous?”

“Ah, well.” You shrug. “A little.”

“Eh, me too,” she says quietly.

“My name’s Rhys,” you say, offering your hand.

She smiles back, shaking it eagerly. “Lotte.”

And just like, that you’re sitting back in the hangar deck of the ISD Liberator again, back in your R-22. A huge swarm of eager TIE Pilot cadets are swarming your ship, eager to get a look at the man of the hour. You flip up the cockpit, then pull off your mask and your helmet. All the girls gasp at you, while the boys hold out their hands and call at you, thanking you loudly. You try and shake everybody’s hands as you stand up, but it gets to the point where they eventually just rip you out of the ship and start carrying you up. “Whoa, hey!” you yell.

“Hurray for Rhys Cykgil! Hip hip, hurray!” they all chant. “Hip hip, hurray!” Kuvasz and Vikker look onward from the hatches of the H-Wing, slightly miffed they aren’t getting any attention.

You’re let down gently, to meet with the raven-haired young lady that happens to be the Flight School’s top cadet, considering her status as Flight Leader. She offers her hand, grinning nervously at you, intense blush on her face. “Cadet Merena Valerius.” You take her hand, shaking it. “I-… I’ve heard about you, it’s an honor to finally meet you.”

You smirk a bit. “I should say, it’s an honor to meet the Liberator’s top cadet if you’re the Flight Leader of everybody in here.”

“She’s the best of us,” says one of the cadet.

She nods happily. “Top cadet, already have three confirmed kills.”

… only three?

“Well- I…” She smiles, tears forming at her eyes. “I- I don’t know what to do. I- It’s so nice to finally meet you and-“ The cadets all hush up. Merena turns around, horrified, then immediately she stands to the side at attention.

Because an old friend of yours is coming. He hobbles over to you, having to be assisted by cane because he’s so old. A few scars run along his face, not scars from Rebel pilots, but from Droid Starfighters. You see his fierce glare is still as hilarious as the day you first met him. “… who the frak let you back on board,” he asks.

You smile. “Captain Jag.”

He steps closer to you. “What is a prissy little washout doing back on this ship?”

“What’s an old fossil like you not doing in a museum?” you say. A few cadets stifle laughter.

He grunts. Clones, think they know everything. He jabs at your chest. “What, you think you’re some kind of hero now just ‘cuz you saved this ship? We would’ve had them if you hadn’t shown up anyway.”

“Come on, Captain, it’s been years. I’m a civilian. I think you and me can afford to actually be friends.” As much as you hate his and all his kind’s guts.

He scoffs at it. “Tch. I see you’re still the same wiseguy, never could learn to shut up, that’s why you got expelled.” He taps his cane against the floor of the hangar. “Cadets! This man here is the absolute worst pilot I have ever taught in my life. Disobedient, rambunctious, absolutely insubordinate, and horrifically and irredeemably arrogant!”

You cross your arms, smirking. “Yeah. Worst cadet you ever taught and yet I still was top of the class with fifteen kills from our skirmishes,” you explain. A few admirable whistles and gasps come from the crowd of cadets. Jag’s face scrunches up into anger. “Look, Jag. I can do this all day. My killcount’s been rising ever since I left too, pretty sure it’s in the triple digits by now, I lost count honestly.”

“Rrgh!” He stomps his foot. “Despicable. Never could follow orders!”

>>

[2/2]

“Hey, some orders you just can’t follow,” you say. “Sorry that your superior programming and warrior training doesn’t work now that droids are out of the game. I mean, if those rebels were rocking Vultures and Tris? Your cadets would be all over it like a well-executed Marg Sabl maneuver but right now? Rebels are far more dangerous than you think they are.”

He huffs. “Whatever. So you traded in your flightsuit for an old freighter and a half beat up Starfighter. Doesn’t give you the right to lecture me or these cadets.” He turns around, going through the parted crowd of cadets. “Now disperse, the lot of you, before I mark you up!” They all quickly run away, some getting some last handshakes with you before they do.

Well, you see Captain Jag is still the bitter old coot he was when you left.

But remaining at your side is a starstruck Merena. “I uh…” She bites her lips, looking at you with an intense blush on your face. “I mean, nobody stands up to Jag like that so er…” She rubs her hands together. “… fifteen kills?” she squeaks. You nod. “Hehe, I got some catching up to do then! Heh.” She punches your arm gently, smiling nervously. “I er… don’t suppose you have some advice for me?” Looking her up and down, you see the suit really form well around her legs and hips, extremely well. Hm.

> Intelligence: “Sure. Whatever you need, I’ll answer.”

As much as you want to show how much room there is a TIE Fighter cockpit that she probably doesn’t know, you don’t want to get her into trouble. Yet. You lean on your R-22, smiling at her. “Sure, whatever questions you got, I’ll answer them.”

She nods, reaching into her belt and pulling out her holopad. “Okay, first off, how much faster is a TIE Fighter compared to an X-Wing?”

“200 km/h difference.”

“What’s your recommended strategy?”

“Dive, strafe, run away, repeat.”

“How did you invent the Beam Defense Position?”

“I didn’t, I studied old archival holovids of Clones using a similar tactic to vape Tri-droids.”

“What’s the most dangerous craft you ever fought against?”

“T-65 X-Wing, flown by a very expert pilot, almost killed me once.”

“If you could choose between the X-Wing and the TIE, which one?”

“The TIE.”

“What would you say are the best advantages of the TIE Fighter?”

“Agility and speed.”

She nods, writing it all down. “Wow. Interesting answers.”

“I got plenty more,” you say. She nods, apparently intent on asking more questions. “Just fire away.” Vikker clears his throat, getting your attention. You look over at him, and he points back towards the Lion’s Share, apparently having retrieved all usable scrap from the battle now. Ah, you see. “But listen, I actually should bail.”

“Oh, don’t leave!” She grabs your sleeve. “I have so many more questions, like uh… what was it like traveling the galaxy after you were expelled? How did you survive? Wa- was it like… you had to hire yourself out as a mercenary and you had to fight for cash just to survive!?”

“… actually, people hired me because I was good at finding things,” you explain. Her excited expression drops into one of disappointment. “Hey, you’d be surprised how much stuff people lose. That’s why they hire me.” You slap her on the shoulder. “Listen, Merena, don’t sweat the small stuff. You just gotta learn to do your own thing when you’re up there. No one can tell you what to do except you.”

“But…” She places her holopad on her belt. “That- that’s insubordination. I’d get flogged!” She bites her lips a little at the mention of it.

“I got flogged plenty,” you say. “It doesn’t hurt as bad as you think. You might enjoy it!” You start climbing back into your R-22. “Anyway, I need to bail.”

“Oh, c- couldn’t you stay like five more minutes? You and me could discuss so much more!” She begs for you to stay. “There’s so much I can learn from the Liberator’s most famous student!”

He's a Empireaboo. The X-wing is the better craft due to firepower and survivability. The only thing the tie has is speed. If you catch it, it's dead.

R-22/A-wing is hands down the best of the lot. It just has issues with taking out larger targets.

“No, I should bail. Sorry.” You reach for your holopad, then transfer your contact details to her however. “If you need me, that’s my number. If you want to talk or you have any questions or if you want to show your thanks in more er…” You shrug. “Personal ways. I’m usually available.”

She nods slowly. “I see, okay. Thank you so much. On your way then, Captain Cykgil.”

And with that, your cockpit seals up, and you’re blasting on out of your way out of the Liberator. Nice to come back to it. You would have loved to stay a bit more, see what’s changed, see if your old porn stash is hidden right where you left it too. Maybe you’ll send out the hints to Merena is she’s feeling willing. “Well, I’m surprised, Rhys. You didn’t waste our time trying to lay with the pilot,” says Vikker.

“Coming from you, Vikker,” you quip.

He laughs a little as your H-Wing and your R-22 start closing in back to the Lion’s Share. “Well, we’re at Tython, I don’t see a Katana Fleet anywhere around here.”

“Yes,” says Lev. “We have run sensor scans of the surrounding system with the assistance of the Liberator, there is no Katana Fleet in this system. Considering Tython is in Imperial territory, if the Fleet were here, we would know about it.”

“Well, hang on, just because it ain’t here doesn’t mean we can’t find anything worthwhile,” you say. “Now, I think we can afford to land on Tython, look to see if any Dreadnaughts from the fleet crashed, might be why the trails ended there. I figure a short surface scan and if we find it, we salvage what we can and-“

Suddenly, out of hyperspace comes an Imperial Star Destroyer, backed up by a pair of Victory-classes as well. Well, better late than never. It looks like the ISD Admonitor as well. However, you squint and see an Imperial Gozanti-class freighter headed towards you. Your comms cut out, and are replaced by a pair of voices now. “Rhys Cykgil.” Oh. “We have questions for you.”

The Sisters.

Damn it.

Well Fuck, thanks for the thread German and now the most dreadful part of the quest the questions....

What ships did Jennis Salvage to get the blasters, Power generator, and thrusters?

Where is the Astromech Droid compartment, and lasers equipped at on the Re-22.

How does the salvaging appretiuts work? How is the power situation going? and How much room do we have on the ship?

Did our Mando friend take the only S-5 Pistol in stock, and does it include all the equipment and modifications?

What Type of Salavge did Misri manage to get from the battle?
>>
>>45002396
>>Where is the Astromech Droid compartment, and lasers equipped at on the Re-22.
Astromech slots are almost always atop the ship, directly behind the cockpit and pilot's head.
>>
>>45002396
Do you seriously need this much detail? Chill out, man.
>>
>>45002272
What did we refurbish on Jennis's Ship?

More importantly where did she get those battle droids and ship?

Also is she walking in a limp?
>>
>>45002429
Wasn't the Eta-5, and the Jedi Star Fighter not the case for that?
>>
>>45002521
ALMOST always.
>>
>>45002396
1. She mostly flies in after battles between Rebels and Imps, sometimes during even, to scavenge loot. Occasionally this involves Star Destroyers, busted corvettes, TIE Fighters with occasionally still living pilots in them who try to kill her. The works.

2. The astromech droid slot is to the side of the cockpit and slightly forward, sort of like in a Jedi starfighter. The twin laser cannons are mounted above the other laser cannons.

3. It's basically a magnetic crane that sucks up most small scrap. The power for now is pretty well and good thanks to the new generator, even with the new turbolaser attached. I'll still need to see how much you have but you should have plenty due to the Barloz's fuckhuge cargo space, both horizontally and vertically.

4. He did, but for Misri. And it does include all the equipment and mods.

5. Mostly scrap metal. There usually isn't a lot of useful stuff left after a fighter gets vaped by a laser.

>>45002480
1. You mostly refurbished her electronics and cleaned up her ship. Everything else she insists she can do on her own.

2. Like any other scavver, she found them on a battle site. Her Gozanti-class the "Chain Gang" was a gift from her father.

3. And no, she is not walking in a limp.
>>
>>45002272
So.. uh.. can we outrun all that?
>>
>>45002549
Zygerrians cant reproduce with humans right?

Sorry if the question is weird, but paranoia can't be reasoned with.
>>
>>45002579

>>45002586

>>
>>45002596

>>45002586
They're near human so maybe.
>>
>>45002586
I'm pretty sure humans can reasonably reproduce with certain near-human species. Zygerrian is probably not one of them.
>>
>>45002549
Any specific model or type that can be recognized

The original laser cannons are side mounted. http://www.foundation3d.com/plugins/p13_download_manager/images/2214.jpg

If that were the case wouldn''t the cannons hit the astromech droid?

With the new engines does that mean the bartolz can go at the same speed as the CR70/90 Corvette?

So nothing in the Hammerhead Corvette survived intact?

What upgrades did Misri buy for the droids and her starfighter?
>>
>>45002596
Did we give contact info of the Mando to Jennis to expand her trade?

Gozanti-class I thought it was a Civilian GR-45 Transport?

Btw how is she doing with her finances her new influx of cash
>>
>>45002613
1. You think they might be from a starfighter but you aren't sure.

The astromech is sat in the hull, not outside of it. The new laser cannons are mounted on top of the old ones, like stacked so you're basically having two twin laser cannons now.

3. Actually, with the new thrusters, the ship goes faster than the CR70, by about 200 km/h.

4. Nope.

5. Just spare parts for if they ever get damaged. Misri bought herself some new parts to restore the N-1 to working condition as well. She's not interesting in making modifications to it just yet.

>>45002664
1. Yes. They're probably not going to like that Jennis is selling the kama though so she'll have to hide that.

2. It's always been a Gozanti.

3. Pretty much exactly the same as before. She's not very good with her finances.
>>
>>45002607
>They're near human so maybe.
Humanoid, not near-human. Like Duros, Twi'lek, or Mirialans. But humans and can Twi'lek can cross-breed, so who knows?

Examples of Near-humans are Miraluka, Zabrak, and, despite appearances, Sullustans.
>>
>>45002698
We should get her a accountant droid or something as a thank you. I mean if she can grow as a scavenger and not fall into debt she'll be happy right?

How did the B1 Droid not shoot at her if she found them after Order 66?
>>

>>
>>45002778
Battle droids are actually pretty easy to reprogram if they're switched off, which Jennis found them as. A lot of B1s and other battle droids are usually found depowered after the galaxywide shutdown order that ended the Clone Wars.

>>45002816
At the rate Rhys fucks, he's eventually going to become a deadbeat daddy.

>>45002826
So far she's restoring the proper power to the engines and trying to also repair the weapons system as well. She hasn't completed any repairs just yet.

Also, no she didn't. And the reason for that is because with the scrap recovery apparatus, she can just rifle through the piles of scrap for usable stuff that she can build into new mods. No need to buy them.
>>
>>45002841
The cannon page has no citations for that statement. The citation for the near-humans aspect seems to be from the clone wars. Though it's shady.

I thought clone wars was cannon?

So, how hard would it be to kill the twins when they realize what Misri is?

>>45002948
Rhys has very bad experiences with actually trying to slice old Sep battle droids. Plus, he simply doesn't trust them to hold their own in a fight, he's seen them firsthand as a kid back home get reamed by Clones.

>>
>>45002990

With all these weapon systems it makes me wonder how they all fit and attach to the ship and wasn't that where the E-web was attached?
>>
>>45003072
And he should continue to do a great job if he wants Rhys to keep him aboard.

>>45003096
The Barloz is a big ship, there's room for something somewhere. The E-Web is further forward, directly below the cockpit.

Also why didn't he fight ?

Also any faction changes
>>
>>45003144

2. He didn't fight because he's really fucking old.

3. Empire back to Friendly.
