Welcome one, and I welcome you all to the tale of a world called Thespia.

Here is the odyssey of one that clings to this world with no face of their own! In a place where magic is fundamental to all of creation, all who live wear their lives upon their face, where a fire might wish to be the cooking fire of an inn!

The Faceless overcame the tyrant lord of Bikel, Stephan Grant, son of Mikael Grant. Thus, while wearing the face of the vengeful spirit "The Reaper of Aurel" otherwise known as Dramir, a story in the world of Thespia comes to an end as a hero arrives to deliver the accursed Guisi from their fates of enslavement and labor.

Yet despite this success, a shadow of doubt looms upon the horizon as the Reaper claimed victory from Lord Grant whilst in his Arche's true form, a secret kept by the Guisi at all costs for fear of true persecution at the hands of other Thespians.

Yet the curtain has closed upon that story and a sibling pair grow restless as they hear the whispers of the Guisi elders and their intent to make the Reaper disappear to ensure that there are no loose ends.

"We will not see our work undone."

Luna is blood red as she gazes upon the enraged bloodlust of an abomination, a monstrosity. The monster heaves through the woods, wispy threads of poorly sewn together fate wicking from every haphazardly forced together part of its body. As it breathes, the foul smell of corpses and blood-copper is infused into the air causing it to tremble into a fetid red mist.

As the red light falls upon the woods it is burned away by the blazing boa of the one that stands before that's dodging away from the wolf's last charge. A beautiful woman of high stature and an athletic build, her face a mask presented with a polygonal heart pattern, long artistic eyelashes, and demonic horns that curl back over her head. In hand, she holds a burning whipsword that entices the air into becoming her dance partner.

The abominus wolf unleashes a distorted cacophony of howls as it bears down on her again, its many eyes insane in a mixture of pain and blind rage. Light on her feet, the woman slips behind a tree and flips away as the wolf's mouth is filled with wood that it absurdly crushes into splinters.
“My, my, my!” You say with a touch of sweat on your brow as you try to maintain a lax exterior. A touch of fear and bonechilling dread coursing down your spine, threatening to lock up your limbs should you succumb, “Quite the hungry beast aren't you?”

The monster's eyes roll around independently as they all try to seek you out, the wolf beginning to move only after a majority of them have locked you in their sights. Each step of the beast causes a slight tremor, and its absurdly huge gaping jaws are affixed with many more snarling maws within.

>>46080832

“Better not get hit,” You murmur as you dance out of its warpath, breaking contact behind another tree and twirling about for a particularly brutal burning lash. The blades of your whip glance through its mighty hide, though the fur catches flame in a linear smoldering mark. “Dire wolves, alone they can crush iron within their maws and resist the onslaught of ordinary blades...”

You flee through the woods as the monster smashes through trees after you, “Yet a beast such as this can resist ever more!”

Breaking off behind shrubbery you flip and dance out of sight of the wolf as the foliage leans itself fearfully out of your way. Branches are shattered and splintered as the monster forces itself to stop its dumpy charge, its eyes looking all around for your person amidst the darkness of the night. Its curdling breath haunting the slumbering sounds of the night.

Skulking behind cover, you retract your whip and let your boa vanish so as to not be seen.

The beast raises its head, sucking in deeply of the air with long dragging breaths that flare its nostrils. Aggravated, it rakes the ground with its abominable claws as it turns to track you. (“WHERE GO. MUST EAT”) Thrums its true voice upon the air.

Creeping closer, you circle around behind it with strands of your hair in your face, and steps strangely muffled into silence. Of course, stealth is the Reaper's game. Staying firmly beyond the wolves' suspucion as the hulking beast occupies itself with trying to smell you out, you find your way to its rear.

Charming the wind into a fleeting gust, you allow it to pick you up, launching you onto the beast's back as you come down with your sword sheathed in flame and bearing a stiletto-like point. The blade slips into its flesh, and you can feel it stop as you aim for the vertebra. Lacing your sword, you unleash a burning tongue of flame causing the wolf to howl out in thunderous pain. The eyes upon the back all turn to lock upon you with a deadly glare.

You feel your footing give as you slide on something slick, boney white spikes peek out of the wolf's fur in an arc before you, underfoot, you can see the red-stained pink of the beginnings of a tongue... The wolf has more than one maw?! The tongue's saliva causes your shoes to sizzle with the causticity of its malevolent saliva...

Dran living things don't tend to move after getting their spinal cord destroyed.

A second maw appeared on the monster where it was stabbed and you guys are questioning how it's still moving after getting its vertebrae burned.
>>
>>46081931
If we can't assume basic biology than fighting monsters just goes down to incinerating them completly
>>
>>46081931
Additional maws are just magic.
But if it can move with a destroyed vertebra why even target it?
If it would regenerate after a short time it would be "clearer"

With the wind's aid you manage to jump from the manifested maw right before it gnashes shut again and again with intent to obliterate you. Landing further down the colossal wolf's back, you notice its body has slackened some as you stab a second time into its spine to find your blade stopping much shorter than before as you channel another burst of flame.

This time, you see the fangs forming from its fur and abandon its back entirely as it falls to the ground with the new mouth snapping shut. Two grievous wounds, near its neck and a second at its haunches in near succession. Landing heel-first upon the trunk of a tree, you drop down to a branch that creaks upon your weight, yet remains firm.

The wolf's maw snaps open and shut at the head as it flails about, trying to move to no avail. You smile, relishing in victory for the moment until you see the spilling fate threads twist about and get forced into the monster's smoldering wounds. First at the neck, and then again at the haunches. Slowly, its legs tremble back into activity and then they're thrashing again to stand up. {“DIE. DIE. DIE!”} The mindless monster violently chants as its claws turn into additional white fangs and mouths as its eyes lock upon you and it swipes at your tree.

Leaping from the slowly following timber, you hear its voice as you leave it, {“Alas my good lady, I've fallen, and I'll never get back up.”}

You pout a little at that, feeling a touch sorry for the tree. Landing upon another, you hastily slide down to another branch as you notice the wolf laboring again in its movements, charging forward and then fumbling as flames pour from its back and haunches once again. The monster trembles, its eyes going crazy from the pain as more fate threads are channeled to restore the damage. {“PAIN. BURNING. HURTS”} It howls, growling, and gnashing, thrashing out in a blind rage as you keep yourself out of harm's way.

We may have a session again tomorrow to make further progress. Though I intend to at least conclude this segment of the story tonight.

I'm sorry for the waiting, I've made so many plans recently that I realize I should've used my calendar app...

Keeping a watchful eye over the beast as it rises up again, it reaches back, chewing into its own hide as it shudders in pain. Blood coats its fur as it ravenously bites out the part of its own spine that is causing it so much pain. Further down its haunches, another maw tears into its own flesh to separate the chunk.

Threads flow into the wounds at a startling pace as the beast lays steal, letting itself heal. Through the murky darkness of the night, you can see that dozens of its eyes have lain upon you.

“You're not really giving me much choice here, are you?” Words leave your mouth as you're distraught by the display. Obviously this monster isn't to be taken lightly, in fact it seems to be getting more thoughtful with each passing moment. As savage as it is, it would be in everyone's worst interests for this monster to become fully cognizant.

Slashing your sword through the air in an elegant weave, you let the blade separate into segments attached by flames. Whipping the segmented blades through the air in an elegant dance, you entice the wind to lend you its favor and ignite it into a burning fervor. The scorching heat crackles the moisture from the air as the wolf's many eyes glare up at you, waiting as its threads rapidly restore its self-inflicted wounds.

“You brought this upon yourself you know, don't blame me.” You say with a husky purr as the burning wind dances around you. Your pacing increases as the wind burns with greater vigor and intensity, “Danse Macagnis.” With the utterance of that word you leap from the tree, at that moment the monster opens its gaping maw, intent on consuming you entirely.
>>
>>46085395

“Too bad!” You sing as your voice rises into an elated laughter, the wind surging you clear out of its waiting jaws as you send down the billowing flames to wash over the monster's body, blinding each and every one of its eyes.

The wolf howls as the eternal flame clings to it and thrashes as much as it can with its wounds still in the process of trying to heal.

You land among the flames, untouched as they are yours to command. With your free hand, you physically grab the wild threads attempting to heal the wounds to its spine and yank them out entirely, causing its forelimb to fall off as blood and threads spill out, only to be consumed by the flames. Finally! Something works! You smile, as the beast falls onto its side, howling as more maws appear, intent to snuff out the flames by consuming them. You're forced to abandon your position as it effectivly chews on itself.

Landing in nearby foliage, you will the eternal flames not on the wolf to extinguish, returning some moniker of darkness to the woods as the big bad wolf is the candle to a wild, glimmering flame.

After that last big attack, you realize that sweat's begun to pervade your brow. Using so much PoP magic's wearing you down...

>[Call out for Odette, she's bound to be near with all the howling, right?]

>>

Snuffing out your flames, you fade into the flickering shadows of the night as the beast flops about, trying to stand. Watching it carefully, you slink further and further away as it gets a better bearing, the maws rending it bloodied, yet slowly devouring away the flames that pain it so. By the finish however, it's a naked monster, a gaunt blood-covered monstrosity that's hungry for revenge.

The monster tries to smell your out, yet you can tell, all it smells is its own burnt flesh now as it blindly looks to and fro, clearly confused and disoriented.

From the darkness you take in a deep breath and call out, “Odette, if you can hear me, slay the beast now!” Your voice fades into silence, yet the beast's vision falls upon your direction. Pouncing from its haunches, it surges forward as you silently slip by with the owl's “muffled wings” letting the monster collapse into trees and bushes without a second forelimb to stop itself.

Before it recovers, you're upon it, tearing out the threads from around its haunches, pulling with all your might to make them tear and snap. Like a doll that's lost its stitching, this tear opens up its stomach some, allowing blood andd intestines to spill out, dragging over the grand as it makes to right itself, still suffering terrible as it's slowly come undone.

Backing off again, to give the monster some space, you hear a growling behind you, and turn to narrowly escape a lunge by what appears to be a piece of wolf? Falling upon the ground is a head, gnarling, gnashing, and bouncing about to try to re-position itself to attack you again. You hear another growl with your enhanced orientation of sound and evade another slow of wolf-heads, some more formed than others as they eat dirt in their failed attempt.
>>
>>46085930

Looking back for the source, you see a wolf-heads spawn from the missing limb that's spilling out threads, slowly forming more wolves.

In some part of you, your heart sinks. Is there no end to this?

Looking ahead, you see that wolf-heads are even spilling from the tear opening up its guts.

>[Run for your life, you're nearing your limit!]

Between the hulking wolf and the gnashing smaller heads full of teeth, you find yourself effectively surrounded, the tension palpable as the monster readies itself for another haphazard lunge.

“Honestly, you've been a real pain in my ass.” You say with nervous laughter as you slash your whip about, cleaving one of the smaller wolves in twain. “Why won't you all just die already?”

{“WE...ASK...SAME.”} It rumbles in the true voice as its maw opens up with caustic saliva dripping, sizzling the poor destroyed foliage underfoot. The naked monster, covered in blood and burns and coming undone at the seams as more wolf heads spill out.

As you whip about your blades, you shout,“I'll have to politely decline Darling!” As the wind is enamored with your cause. As it burns, the smaller wolf heads stay their attack. “I'm ending this, now! Danse Macagnis!” The wind whirls and surges with vicious burning slices, setting the wolf heads aflame and slicing them in half as you leap and dance around the lot of them.

Rudely, the giant wolf lumbers and leaps at you to interrupt your dance only for you to leap out of the way and punish it with an explosive flare as you twirl your sword-whip to direct the conical blast to smash into the wolf.

Reeling from the impact, the wolf is knocked over onto its side, maws already gnashing and eating itself to put out the flame.

Breathing heavily, you fall to your knees, spent from that last grand attack. The surviving wolf heads growl as they slowly approach, ready to tear flesh from bone, from thread...

Yet as your flames die out, you notice a shadow slip before you, holding threads still attached to the wolf's fallen limb. As they snap, you hear an incantation called out, “Dies Irae, Dies Illa, Solvet Saectum in Favilla!”
>>
>>46086718

The rent threads burst into flames that expose the shadow for a mere moment as the dazzling fire explodes forth, whiping out the wolf heads. In the brief moment that the shadows part, you see glittering feather-like antennae, and long black braided hair flowing into the cowl of a cloak that billows from the winds of the explosion. Beneath that cloak, you see a belt of clasps containing scrolls and small bottles with wild threads squirming within.

The explosive flames of the spell soon die with another word and arcane gesture, “Extingui.” Shadows swirl back over the being's form and with a slick movement, your savior vanishes from sight.

“Who...” You begin to question as you try to rise, only to see that the Monster wolf has still not been put down. It lumbers towards you, limping and bleeding.

Yet then, you hear a familiar voice call out, “Southpaw, Vicious Matron's Claw.” and an arrow flies forth from the woods, stabbing right into the wolf's sloppy maw and cleaving it in twain from the inside.

“Southpaw, Ursarinn's Rampage!” And a volly flies forth, each arrow cleaving the wolf again and again until its a shredded, bleeding heap of useless patchwork flesh.

From the woods, Odette steps out, her White hair bearing the Moon's red glow for a moment until the danger passes and the world returns to its natural celestial hue, her hair catching the same Lunar glow. Odette looks out to you, her bow returning to her body, “Are you alright? It looks like you had quite a battle... Belfors was it?”

Falling back, your Amalgus unravels, “No, Just Beli again.” You say with an elated sigh, “And am I glad to see you...”
