So we're headed to the medical camp, right? Here's hoping senjutsu-based chakra sensing can see through Zetsu disguises when regular chakra sensing can't. Honestly, that's one of my biggest worries. Everything else can be solved through sufficient violence, even if it makes for harder fights than canon without the dei ex machinae it had, but the Zetsu infiltrators were something that only Naruto could deal with.

The light of the nearly full moon illuminates the forest as you and a contingency of ninja with medical ninjutsu training head back in the direction of camp. You're going as fast as you can, but nearly every one of you is carrying an injured ninja that needs treatment, and it slows you down considerably. You do all eventually reach camp though, to find a terrible sight.

There are people laying everywhere, surrounding the camp. Their combined groans of pain are practically deafening. As you look, you can see that there are thousands upon thousands of injured ninja. Everywhere you look, you can see broken bones and missing limbs. You can immediately see why they called back for help. The medical staff could never deal with so many patients. They can barely fit a fraction in the camp at a time. The sensors stand at the entrance blocking the way in, only able to look on at the suffering.

After being stunned by the initial sight, your group sets off to find places for your division's injured, and to get tasks assigned for themselves. You place the unconscious ninja you were carrying down near some others, as well.

You decide that following procedure is the best thing to do right now.

You go up to the camp entrance, where you wait your turn to get checked by the sensors. Once you're cleared, you head to a nearby medical Jonin with your other group members, where you get your orders.

"Thank you all for the swift response, we need all the help we can get." the Jonin says. "We have ninja out there right now that are bleeding out. Now, I doubt all of you are all that good at healing broken bones, but you can all likely close wounds. Go out there and attend to the ninja with lost limbs. Check the time on their tourniquets. If they can last a few more hours, move along and come back, we have far too many patients that have been sitting out there too long. It's up to you all to keep as many alive as possible. Now go!"

"Yes sir!" the group responds. You all head back out and start treatment.

You keep up Sage Mode for as much of the time as you can, as it greatly accelerates the healing process. Going around, you see a huge number of ninjas that have lost arms or legs. It only takes you a couple minutes to heal one, so you manage to patch up dozens of ninja. It seems they pulled in a lot of support too, because eventually you run out of ninjas with amputations to heal. Though they did only make up a portion of the injured.

As you finish healing a ninja, you hear a scream of anguish from inside camp. Since you were about to head back in to get reassigned anyway, you enter to find Sakura and some other medical ninja, shocked, standing over the body of a dead medical Jonin.

"The enemy must have slipped inside somehow." Sakura states. "But we've checked everyone..."

Meanwhile, I'll look for the enemy in Sage Mode. We can't stop bringing in the wounded, but keep up the strict checks and keep an eye out for any impostors."

Your suggestion is reasonable, and everyone follows it. You stick with Sakura, while the other ninja go around to find people suitable to guard the other potential targets. You sense around in Sage Mode, but don't find any hostiles. You don't find any repeat chakra signatures nearby, either, but there could potentially be some out of range. There's no way to know for sure.

As Sakura continues to go about her work, someone comes into your tent. It's Chouji. He's a bit bandaged up, but he looks mostly alright.

"Hey, Kon." he addresses you. "I just got done getting patched up. I was going to head back out to First Division with the others, but they said they needed guards for the medical ninja here. I figured you'd want to focus on tracking down the infiltrator, so I thought I could guard Sakura for now. It's gotta be hard to hunt someone down when you're stuck in one place."

Sensing in Sage Mode, you can't tell any difference from the Chouji you know. Usually you'd have no reason to doubt him, but these are extraneous circumstances.

"No problem Chouji, but I'm going to need to verify your identity for sure." you say. "When was the first time you ate at my uncle's restaurant.?"

"What? Aw come on, that was years ago, Kon." Chouji complains, scratching the back of his head. "If I remember right, it was some kind of special occasion, but I've been there so many times, it all kind of just blends together, you know?"

That alone doesn't confirm your suspicions, but you are nearly sure the real Choji wouldn't have forgotten. You try one more trick.

"Well, I guess that's fine, Choji." you say, stepping a bit out of the way for Choji to get closer. "Don't mean to be too harsh on you. So how's that romance with Ino going?"

"Oh, you know how it is, guys like me have it rough." Choji laughs. "But I'll keep at it! She's sure to come around eventually."

You turn and smash Choji into the floor with the strongest Impact enhanced punch you can muster. When he hits the ground, you can see the disguise fade away to reveal what is undoubtedly one of the white Zetsu.

"So you tricked me, huh? Damn it..." it groans. "It shouldn't have even taken this long to get in the camp. I could've killed you all by now. Those worthless Edo Tensei..."

Sakura runs over to check out what happened, but the Zetsu is already unresponsive.

No doubt there may be plenty of these guys around in hiding, but without a surefire way to identify them, it's no use trying to track them all down right now.

Before you do anything else, you get in contact with First Division through a medical camp stationed communication officer. You're patched through directly to Ino, who assures you that Choji is there and well. At your suggestion, all the communication officers start to compile a roster of everyone's location in hopes of reducing the chance of another infiltration, but who knows how much it may help.

You guard Sakura as she examines the Zetsu, with Tsunade also coming to observe.

"Their body's composition is extremely similar to that of Tenzo's." Sakura notes. "They might have captured him and used him to enhance these creatures."

"Really, it's almost identical to my grandfather's cells." Tsunade adds. "Madara must have been cultivating some, and used them to make these 'Zetsu'. Which is bad news for us. Who knows what else he could use those cells for?"

"We know one of their abilities now, at least." Sakura tells you, observing the charts on the screen. "They have the ability to perfectly replicate the chakra signature of an individual whose chakra they've come into contact with. Though it doesn't seem like their body composition changes completely when they transform. But still, we don't have a surefire way of detecting them. This is bad. They could wipe out our whole army without us knowing."

Tsunade sighs and shakes her head.

You stay vigilant until Kiba and Akamaru arrive. They seem to be a bit beat up.

You lead Kiba to the Zetsu, where he summons all his ninja dogs. All of them enter Sage Mode, then make sure to catch the scent.

"Oh yeah, this wouldn't be possible without Nature chakra." Kiba assures. "We'll head out and try to catch who we can, but we can't cover the whole battlefield. I hope you've got a plan."

Kiba and his ninja dogs take off.

"So how do you want to do this?" Tsunade asks.

You stop Tsunade briefly before she goes.

"Wait, Tsunade Sensei." you tell her. "Do you think I could shake the Zetsu out of their disguise with a large pulse of Impact chakra, while only making everyone else a bit dizzy?"

"I don't know if it would be focused enough to do that unless it was strong enough to potentially hurt someone." Tsunade answers. "But the idea that it could be done is there. It might be better to keep to it on individuals, though. But that's just my thought. Anyway, you already look tired, Kon. It's still only the first night, and you have a lot of fighting left to do, I'm sure. Don't stay up all night doing everything just to head right out again to fight in the morning. Get some rest some time. If you keep fighting until you're running on fumes, then you'll probably run out at the worst time."

Tsunade leaves, and you go stand guard for a while. As it turns out, you can focus your Impact Release to force the Zetsu to reveal themselves. It only happens once, but a Zetsu tries to sneak into the camp, only for you to discover and kill it. Everyone else that you test merely gets a slight uncomfortable stinging from your chakra, and is allowed on.

Eventually, an Explosion Corp member is stationed at the medical camp, and fills in for you. You're told that every Division has one now, but there are thousands of ninja to test. Who knows how long it may take.

Sure enough, Kiba quickly falls asleep. You leave something out for him and Akamaru to eat when they wake up, then head out to find out what's going on.

You find the communication officer, and he tells gets you up to date.

Former Kage. If there's anywhere that needs your help, it's there. You take off towards the Lightning Desert, where the Fourth Division is currently fighting.

As you approach, even at a distance you can see the huge scale of attacks being used. Nearly every element is being tossed around. It's quite a sight.

When you get close, you can see exactly what's going on. There are four former Kage being fought by the Fourth Division.

Kurotsuchi seems to be leading a group, but they seem to be very confused. You can't tell exactly who they're fighting, and it looks almost like they can't either.

In the distance, you can see the Tsuchikage floating with a mummy looking man wrapped in bandages. There are disintegrated stone pillars all around them.

Nearest you, a large man is currently being bombarded by Wind attacks, from a group led by Temari.

"I told you to hit me with your strongest Wind Release user!" the bearded Edo Tensei yells. "This isn't going to be enough!"

"I am the Alliance's strongest Wind Release user!" Temari yells back. "This is ridiculous."

The final enemy stuns you. A ways away, you see the Kazekage and Jiraiya leading a group of ninja against your former master. The Third Hokage.

But you can't fight all these battles at once.

I wonder what would happen if zombie Sarutobi summoned Enma while fighting us? Enma isn't bound, he serves his summoner of his own free will, so he might be able to ignore Sarutobi's instructions and work with us. Sarutobi might even summon him in hopes that would happen. That would actually be pretty good for us, we'd get a powerful summon on the field but with the chakra cost of maintaining its presence put on the Impure World Resurrection instead of us.

While you want to help elsewhere, Temari may in fact be completely helpless. None of her attacks are proving effective. With your release, you may just pose a better chance.

You summon Sarujizo and enter Sage Mode, then make your way down next to Temari and face off with the former presumable Raikage.

"Hmm?" the Raikage raises an eyebrow. "Is this kid good enough to hurt me? I hope so, for your sake."

"Kon? You're here?" Temari asks, a bit shocked. "This could be good. I have the strongest Wind Release, but it still isn't enough. Nothing can hurt this guy. Your release is different though. It might work. Do you think you could try fighting this guy?"

You can see the Raikage charge his body with electricity, a chakra cloak much like the Fourth Raikage's. And your own, now that you think about it.

This is exactly the situation you've trained for. It's his chakra cloak against yours.

You coat yourself in Impact chakra and enter Impact Sage Mode. Temari and her entire force are just as stunned at your appearance as the Raikage.

Temari takes your suggestion, then you turn to the former Raikage.

"Hmph. We can only hope." The Raikage, cloaked in lightning, dashes toward you.

Chakra metal channeling Impact Release should be able to wrap him up as well as it would anyone else, and the ability to control his movements is essential given his speed and strength. And since we're in Monkey Sage Mode, having our hands busy with the wire won't really impede us, we could easily kick him or whack him with an Impact-infused tail strike.

The Raikage is insanely fast. There's barely any time for you to react, so you just dive in for a punch of your own. The Raikage doesn't even think of dodging.

The two of you cross-counter, hitting each other straight in the face. Even through the defense of your Impact cloak, you still feel his punch. You're pushed back, and you check your face to make sure both your mask and Sarujizo are alright. They are, but that punch certainly feels like being hit by a brick wall.

Meanwhile, upon being hit, the Raikage tumbled backwards. You can see his face regenerating.

"That... hurt." the Raikage notes. "Whatever your release is, it went right through my lightning armor. You just might do it, kid. You could beat me."

Before he says another word, the Raikage is back on his feet. He dashes again, but this time he uses his ridiculous speed to outpace you. Every time you try to land a blow, he makes a movement out of your way. Luckily, in this form, you're quite nimble, and can avoid his attacks as well.

For a while, the two of you just square off. Trading blows in close quarters, each of you only just slightly avoiding the other's attacks. His speed is far too superior to yours to be able to keep this up, so you decide to make an opening for yourself. On one duck from his fist, you draw your kyoketsu-shoge. Infusing it with your chakra, you wrap it around the Raikage's arm, and hold it there. With that done, you start raining Impact blows onto him. You can see his skin chip slowly away. Unfortunately, the Raikage suddenly grabs the cord and uses it to toss you in an arc. His unruly strength smacks you on the ground and causes you to drop your weapon.

"It's good." the Raikage tells you, still regenerating. "But it's still not enough. You need to hit me with something stronger, or I'll just keep coming back from it!"

It's down to the Nebula Sphere. If you can get him within it, he should be crushed while his armor is negated. The only issue is an opening. You'll have to take a hit for this to work.

"Get ready to seal him after my next attack!" you yell to the two sealers that stayed behind to assist you.

"Oh?" the Raikage inquires. "So you're going all out, eh? Go for it, kid. Show me everything you've got. I was hoping that someone in the younger generation had surpassed me."

The Raikage dashes forward again, at full speed. You gather the Impact chakra into a sphere in your palm and expand it.

As the Raikage smacks his fist straight into your gut, you place the Nebula Sphere around him before being sent flying back. Before you even land, you begin condensing.

"What is this jutsu?" the Raikage asks. His skin begins to crack. "What is happening?"

The Raikage's limbs all start to fold in on themselves, and his hair instantly flattens against his body. The cracks on his body spread and get deeper.

"Ungh..." he groans. "Keep going! Don't you dare hold back!"

You put all the chakra you can into your jutsu, every tiny ounce of force you can muster. The Raikage's body looks like it begins to crumble. As you squeeze the last bit of strength you can into your jutsu, the Raikage's crumpled body falls to the ground.

"Moving in!" one of the sealers shouts. The two of them extend the cloth seals towards the Raikage, but he suddenly is covered in lightning and cuts through the cloth with his hand. He manages to stand, his entire body still regenerating.

"That still... wasn't quite enough." The Raikage is clearly struggling to speak. "But, I can barely move! Hurry, now is your chance! Hit me right in the chest! Where you can see the scar!"

Looking closely, there's a lightning bolt shaped scar on the Raikage's chest.

You throw the mass of Impact chakra from your hand and it speeds toward the Raikage, a shining line through the air. The front forms a claw-like shape as it flies, straight and true. Your ultimate attack.

The Raikage is hit straight through the chest, right where his scar is. And all of his chest around it, too. He's left with half of his torso gone, while your attack continues for a while and destroys several stone pillars in the distance.

"That's...it..." the Raikage mutters. "You spear... is far sharper than mine."

The two sealers move in and quickly capture the Raikage, sealing him in their cloth.

You're tired. The effort you exerted in that attack causes you to fade out of Impact Sage Mode. It might take a while to recover enough to enter it again, but Sarujizo is still here to give you Nature chakra.

You look to see all three other battles still ongoing.

The time has come. You need to face your revived teacher. You head over to the site of the battle, where Sarutobi Sensei has a handful of Shadow Clones out, shooting down any jutsu with their opposing element.

Lord Jiriaya is hanging back, apparently not in much condition to fight. He's giving orders to the army, using their jutsu to try and give Rasa openings while keeping themselves protected. Rasa is facing all the clones directly, his gold dust sweeping across the battlefield.

As you draw near the battle, one of the Shadow Clones turns its attention to you. He dives at you, but you easily dodge. The two of you are left staring each other down.

"I never thought it would come to this, Kon." Sarutobi says. "Now that I've been revived, I must be stopped. I can trust you to do so, can't I? You've surely surpassed all my expectations."

"Yes, Sarutobi Sensei." you answer firmly.

He may be your teacher, but you will not hesitate to defeat him here. You will show him how strong you've become.
