You are Captain SAMANTHA WELLINGS, a newly minted captain of the Centauri Accord!

And currently, you were very much enjoying this new turn of events as Amy, Elsa, and Tank had to endure their "punishments." Namely, that they were forced to wear maid uniforms courtesy of Parker. Bradford looked on with minor disapproval, but otherwise thought that they pretty much deserved it. Natalia and Scott didn't appear to be too interested. They had pretty odd interests and fetishes to begin with. Lida seemed to look at them with disinterest, before taking out her camera and liberally taking pictures.

The rest of the crew has appeared to react very positively.

"C-Captain!" Amy wails as she tugs at the hem of her skirt. "C-can we change out of these now? It's really embarrassing!"

"Y-yeah!" Elsa nods in agreement, her face redder than it ever has been. "Come on, show mercy!"

Tank, who was wearing an oversized maid dress over his armor, just stands there silently and resolutely and doesn't really emote. You wonder if he was a bit embarrassed by all this as well or not.

"Oh, don't they just look PRECIOUS?" Parker absolutely glows like a miniature sun, being able to see her little hobby being put to good use.

>Yeah, maybe you should let them off easy. This time.
>Nope, they're going to have to wear them for the rest of the day.

"Nope, it's already been decided that you'll have to wear them for the rest of the day!" You grin and turn to Elizabeth. "The bunny ears and tail were a nice touch."

"I aim to please!" Elizabeth does a little bow.

Tank nods and gives a thumbs up to Elizabeth. Even he had to admit that her workmanship on such short notice was nothing short of masterful.

"Well, uh, I guess this could come in handy in the future..." Elsa sighs as she pokes at one of the rabbit ears protruding from her headband.

"Cap...." Amy whimpers.

"Eh, it's just for the day." You shrug as you lean back smugly in your seat. "And you're going to be spending most of it in the bridge, anyways."

"Wait, you're not going to make them give you personal service?" Lida queries as she snaps another picture of Amy.

"You know, that's not a bad idea." You nod.

"STOP GIVING HER IDEAS!" Amy wails. "I THOUGHT YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO BE ON OUR SIDE!"

"Well, I see this as collecting resources to improve crew morale." Lida explains flatly. "It's an important job."

"Yeah right." Elsa rolls her eyes.

"Okay, that's enough fun for now." You grin. "Lida, you pulled the data on the location of their HQ, right?"

"That's correct." Lida briefly pauses her picture taking. "It looks like the ships associated with the smuggling are coming out of this star system, C-5987."

"Uninhabited?" You frown. Only systems not formally surveyed or colonized were given coded designations like that.

"Where better to hide an illegal operation than an uncharted system?" Elizabeth points out.

"True." You concede. "Are you sure it's the right place?"

"Preliminary survey reports state that the primary planet in the system is mostly aquatic." Lida explains further.

You remember Captain Davos' words of advice. A planet like that did sound like a good place to raise lobsters and other rare sea life.

"Well, we have a lead on where they are." Elizabeth looks to you. "However, since they're outside of Accord space, there's very little we can do about it legally..."

You get the implication of what she was saying. It was pretty much just code for "anything goes."

"Well, we're not bloodthirsty savages like the Hegemony, right?" You shrug. "We should actually try talking to them first."

Tank shakes his head in disappointment. The diplomatic type he most certainly was not.

"Hmmm, interesting." Elizabeth grins. "Well, peacefully dealing with criminal elements is not unprecedented."

"Awwwww." Elsa groans. "First you put me into this clown suit and now I can't shoot anything?"

"Oh, it may come to shooting." You assure her. "All right, everybody get to action stations."

"Punching in the coordinates." Amy sighs as she shifts uncomfortably. Elizabeth had made her skirt just a tad too short to her liking, and she was constantly trying to hide her exposed thighs from prying eyes.

Gullinbursti then disembarks from Eridanus Station and makes the jump to FTL easily enough. With the fairly remote location your target was located in, you'd have some time to kill in transit.

Well, since Amy, Elsa, and Tank were dressed for the occasion. You might as well have a bit of fun with it.

"Tank, I need something to rest my feet on!" You grin as you lean back on your seat.

Tank immediately grasps the meaning of your words and bends down on all fours in front of your chair, and you casually rest your outstretched legs on top of his armored back as a makeshift footrest.

"Ahhh yeah, that's way better." You grin as you turn your gaze to Elsa and Amy. During an FTL jump, there wasn't much for them to do, either.

You know, you were kinda hungry. Maybe you should send someone to the mess to retrieve something for you. Given its location, somebody from the bridge would have to travel practically the length of the ship, passing by pretty much the entire crew...

"Hey, Elsa, I'm actually getting kinda hungry." You say with a smug grin. "I seem to recall the dispensers being able to print out a real nice chocolate cake. How about you head over to the mess and grab a slice for me?"

The look of simultaneous horror and hate on Elsa's face as her head slowly turns to you speaks volumes. She sees through your intentions clear as day, but it's not like you were trying very hard to hide them.

"W-well, I still have a few calibrations to do-"

"Captain's orders." You remind her.

"Y-yes, Captain." Elsa sighs as she nervously shuffles out of the bridge.

All the while, Amy shoots a random look at you every now and then as she starts visibly sweating. No doubt wondering what sort of horrible and debased acts you had in mind for her. She always did have quite an active imagination for these kind of things.

You decide the best course of action was to let Amy stew in silence. After all, there was nothing more insidious than one's own malicious imagination. Amy continues to sit there, trembling and sweating profusely as you recline on Tank's back. If he was showing any discomfort in this position, he certainly wasn't showing it.

Dear god, Amy was actually turning PALE. What the hell was playing out in that mind of hers?

However, before you can think on this any further, a very disgruntled looking Elsa strides in, carrying a plate with a slice of chocolate cake paired with a bottle of water. By the looks she's giving you, it's pretty clear that she's had to run the gauntlet of male (and maybe female) gazes.

"Here's your cake, Captain." Elsa growls, her face red as an overheated gun barrel.

"Is this really necessary, Captain?" Bradford looks at you, then Amy, then Elsa, and finally Tank somewhat skeptically. "As far as non-judicial punishment goes, isn't this going a little too far?"

"Ah, you worry too much." You wave him off. "It's all in good fun, right?"

"Fuck you." Elsa scowls.

"Excuse me, what did you say?" You grin as you put a hand to your ear.

"Fuck you, CAPTAIN." Elsa clarifies.

"Good girl." You nod.

"Actually, Elsa, I changed my mind." You grin evilly. "Amy looks pretty hungry. Why don't you feed the cake to her?"

"WHAT?!" Elsa's eyes bulge to the size of dinner plates.

"WHAT?!" Amy shoots up from her chair.

"Oh come on, it's not like I'm asking you two to finger each other or kiss or anything!" You roll your eyes. "And if you do it right, there wouldn't be any physical contact at all!"

"W-well..." Elsa stammers.

"FINE!" Amy tenses up. "L-let's just get this over with!"

Bradford just sighs and shakes his head at this whole circus while Lida switches her camera from picture mode to recording mode.

"R-right, well, just open your mouth..." Elsa gulps as she scoops a chunk of the cake slice off with a spoon, making sure to get some of the chocolate icing and whipped cream in there too.

Amy closes her eyes and opens her mouth as Elsa slowly and reluctantly inserts the cake-laden spoon, Amy's hot breath already causing the pasty to melt as it enters. Feeling the cake inside her mouth, Amy's lips clamp down, sucking off the whole spoonful of cake as Elsa quickly but carefully withdraws it.

The process repeats, with Amy reluctantly accepting spoonfuls of cake from Elsa's shivering hand. You kind of wonder if you were going too far, but some part of your brain nagged at you that you simply weren't going far enough. Finally, the last piece of the cake is eaten, and Amy quickly grabs the water bottle and sucks the whole thing down. You're not sure if she was trying to wash out the remains of the cake, her shame, or a combination of both.

You also notice Elizabeth hastily writing down notes in her datapad, her fingers moving like lightning. Was... was she transcribing the whole thing?

But before anybody else can comment on the events that just occurred, a klaxon blares warning that the Gullinbursti was about to reach its destination. Amy and Elsa quickly return to their stations and you take your feet off Tank's back, signalling him to get clear.

The ship's primary viewscreen activates, and you see the system ahead. Right now you're far enough out that it's just black void, but the system automatically tags all points of interest, including your ultimate destination: LV-2412.

"Captain, sensors are picking up some sort of orbital station above LV-2412." Lida announces. "I'm also picking up numerous smaller contacts. A least a half dozen corvette sized craft and maybe one or two frigate classes."

"Have they detected us?" You ask.

"Doesn't look like it." Lida shakes her head.

"What's the call, Captain?" Bradford asks in a professional and crisp tone, now back in his element.

"I'm thinking we try and sneak up on them. That will for sure intimidate them." You observe. "Amy, you think you can pull that off?"

"W-well." Amy coughs as she tries and fails to regain her composure. "We can try going in from the opposite side of the planet and huge the atmosphere as we go around. That would give them the minimum reaction time to detect us, but the tradeoff would be we wouldn't be able to see their side either."

"I think, if we dump a few of our missiles and set them on timer detonation, we can pull away enough of their pickets that we can slip in through a gap in their patrols." Elsa suggests. "But that'll use up some of our missiles."

"Or I can just jam their sensors." Lida speaks up. "They'll know we're in the area, but they wouldn't be able to get a good track of our position. But we'd be reduced to optical tracking."

"Let's use the planet as cover." You say. "Best not to let them get suspicious."

"Got it!" Amy nods as she adjusts the control stick, turning the Gullinbursti to interpose LV-4212 in between itself and the station. "Lida, you picking up any remote sensors or anything?"

"No outgoing signals. I think only the station is radiating." Lida says calmly.

"Good." Amy finally grins for the first time since getting put in the maid uniform. "That means i can get a bit reckless!"

Gullinbursti's engines rumble and glow as more energy is fed into them, propelling the ship further along. LV-4212 slowly but steadily grows larger on your screen, and you see a vibrant blow world in front of you. The description wasn't kidding when it said this was an aquatic planet. It was all just azure water as far as the eye can see, with only the small specks of various islands and island chains dotting the endless blue. Just seeing a world with no actual continents was something of a odd sight for you.

"Huh." Lida frowns. "I'm picking up signs of some kind of surface installation. It's sending comm signals up to the station."

"Can it see us? Is it armed?" You blink.

"Doesn't look like either is the case." Lida shakes her head. "My guess is that installation is where they raise and harvest their contraband."

"Captain, if we can seize that facility, it could give us a better bargaining chip against these bandits." Bradford advises.

"Or you know, it could just piss them off and they attack us on sight." Elsa warns.

"Let's take a look at it." You say.

"Roger that." Amy nods as she nudges the control stick, lowering altitude so that the Gullinbursti dips into the atmosphere. The tactical display zooms in on the installation, and you quickly realize that it's not an installation at all.

"Holy crap." Elsa gapes. "That's no base, it's a fucking SHIP!"

"A mobile refinery." Elizabeth nods grimly. "Pretty smart on their part. All they really need to do is leave their livestock to feed and grow in farms all over the planet, and they just have ship hop from farm to farm to harvest when needed."

Indeed, the thing in front of you looked like one of those massive ore processors mining companies used to eat up debris and ore-rich asteroids. However, tractor beams and suction tubes that used to pull in rocks and debris had been modified to suck in massive amounts of water, along with the lifeforms within in it. Filters deposited the collected lifeforms into internal storage tanks, and excess seawater was flushed out. It was frighteningly efficient.

Where the hell did a bunch of pirates and smugglers get their hands on this kind of hardware? This was the sort of stuff only the major mining consortiums owned.

"Uh oh, I'm picking contacts." Lida warns. "The frigate and two corvettes are dropping altitude. They may have spotted us."

"Amy, find somewhere to hide us!" You order.

"Um, WHERE?" Amy grunts. "Last I checked, this entire planet is OCEAN. There's not exactly a lot of places to hide!"

You quickly inspect the surrounding area as your tactical display again starts marking any points and landmarks of interest. To your right, you see what looks to be an island chain. It would definitely provide hard cover, but then again, it would also be a likely place for them to check.

Then again...

"What if we went UNDER the water?" You ask.

"Are you fucking crazy?!" Amy gasps, her rabbit ears twitching wildly in protest. "This is a SPACE ship! Meant to go in SPACE!"

"Well, it is conceivable." Elizabeth frowns. "The Normandy classes were designed to be able to operate in environments with high particle density. I think our shields can ward away the worst of the water pressure, but that's going to generate lots of flux."

"Dive, Amy, Dive!" You bark. "Lida! Shields up!"

"Ohmygod I hope you know what you're doing!!" Amy groans as her rabbit ears twitch rapidly in irritation.

The Gullinbursti noses down as the water comes rushing toward you like a wall. Just seconds before impact, you can see the blue glow of the ship's shield engage as it takes the brunt of the crash. Despite the shield, the Gullinbursti rumbles and shakes as it's engulfed by the waves. The Gullinbursti settles down onto the ocean surface, just deep enough where the depth of the water would impair sensors on the surface.

"And all we do now is wait." You sigh. Up above, you could see the pirate ships, silhouetted against the sun as they begin to patrol around the surrounding waters, sniffing for intruders.

Meanwhile, you can see your flux meter slowly but steadily ticking up.

FLUX: 40/120
HULL: 80/80

Soon enough, the silhouettes of the pirate ships above disappear from view as they expand their search grid.

"Cap, if we go, we should go now." Amy mutters as the shields begin to flicker and the hull groans from the pressures its being subjected to.

"I think we're clear." Lida says. "If we make a break for it, we should be able to beat them back into space."

"Amy, lift off and find someplace safe we can vent our flux!" You order.

"Aye aye, Cap!" Amy says with relief and she pushes the throttle forward. Water bubbles and boils as Gullinbursti's engines fire up, roiling the sea as steam and foam rise from the surface.

Gullinbursti explodes from the sea surface like a missile, clambering for the sky as water trails off its shield, instantly vaporizing thanks to the extreme heat both the engines and the friction from the air were causing.

Finally, the Gullinbursti returns to space, entering into a stable enough orbit that she can safely vent her flux without risk of crashing back into the planet.

FLUX: 0/120
HULL: 80/80

Unfortunately...

"It looks like the rest of the pirate fleet spotting us." Lida sighs. "One frigate and four corvettes are converging on our position."

"Any communications?" You ask.

"Well if they want a fight, they've got one." You grin. "Elsa, power up weapons!"

"All right!" Elsa whoops as her rabbit ears twitch in anticipation and her hands dance across the control and targeting consoles.

"I'm pulling sensor data from the pirate ships." Lida announces. "Looks like the frigate is armed with energy weapons. Particle lasers, it looks like, while the corvettes are carrying missiles. I'd watch out for the particle lasers. They might not deal much hull damage, but they generate huge amount of flux by stressing shields."

"And the station?" You ask.

"It's shielded, but not much in the way of armament." Lida shakes her head. "Just a few mass driver as point defense."

"Noted." You nod as you try to figure out what to take out first.

"Focus fire on that frigate!" You bark. "Take it out!"

"Got it!" Elsa eagerly hits the trigger as Gullinbursti's ion cannon roars, spitting a column of azure energy. At the same time, the frigate fires off its particle lasers, a quartet of ruby beams dance across your shield, clashing with the protective blue energy field as warning sirens scream. Fortunately, the barrage doesn't last long as your shot connects with the frigate. To their credit, the pirate frigate anticpated your attack and turned hard in an attempt to avoid it, but wasn't quite fast enough. The engine compartment melts like butter, trapping the frigate in a ballistic trajectory towards LV-4212.

Unfortunately, its weapons were still operational, and two of the particle lasers continued to lance out, attempting to hit the Gullinbursti.

"Missiles incoming." Lida warns. "Corvettes launching heavy missiles. Twelve contacts.

So how big the explosion of the frigate is going to be anyways? Big enough to at least shake the smaller ships?

The frigate's dead, it just doesn't know it yet.

That frigate will probably burn up in atmo--let's focus on the next biggest threat.

"Elsa, prioritize taking out those corvettes!" You instruct.

"Got it!" Elsa nods as she starts queuing up Gullinbursti's missile launchers. Corvettes were small and nimble craft, and even with Amy and Elsa working together, hitting them with a heavy weapon like the ion cannon was a tall order.

At Elsa's command, the missile launchers mounted along Gullinbursti's flanks belch fire as they spit out their payloads, dozens of miniature missiles spiraling in all directions. Half of the missiles are dedicating to intercept the incoming enemy missiles, and explosions ripple across the darkness. The remaining half pursues the corvettes as they begin performing evasive maneuvers. Three of the corvettes take hits as missiles slam into their hulls. One explodes almost immediately as its remaining munitions prematurely cook off, completely obliterating the small craft. The other two take minor hull damage as they leak fire and debris. The fourth corvette escapes damage, but looks to be fleeing towards the planet.

The dying frigate once again fires its particle beams, like one last gasp. Your flux counter continues to tick up as the shields bear the brunt of the attack.

"Enemy reinforcements are arriving." Lida frowns. "It's that patrol that came down to the surface."

"Can they catch up to us?" You ask.

"Maybe, if they've got to push their engines to the limit since they're going to have to fight against the planet's gravity." Lida points out.

You gauge the situation again. Currently, you were engaging two damaged corvettes and a crippled frigate. A second frigate and three more corvettes were incoming. But you had a clear shot to the station...

"Amy, full speed to the station!" You order. "That's the objective!"

"R-right!" Amy affirms as she whips Gullinbursti around and heads for the station at full speed.

"Ooooh, oooh, are we gonna blow it up?" Elsa asks in anticipation.

"There might be valuable intelligence on that station..." Elizabeth cautions.

"Elsa, fire just enough to knock down their defenses. We're going to send Tank for a visit." You say.

"Fiiiiine." Elsa sighs and mutters to herself. "Never get to do anything fun."

Another ion cannon burst is enough to knock down the station's shields, and a few precision missiles strikes courtesy of Elsa opens up a hole in their point defenses that the boarding shuttles can take. However, you notice something very off.

"Tank, are you seriously going to wear that in the assault?" You point to the maid uniform Tank was wearing haphazardly over his armor.

Tank nods. Captain's orders, after all.

"Well, uh, that was assuming we wouldn't be in combat..."

Tank shrugs. Not like he has the time to take it off, anyways. And he doesn't want to hurt Elizabeth's feelings by simply tearing it off.

"You big softie." You chuckle.

Tank doesn't reply.

As the boarding shuttles take off, Lida signals that she's receiving a comm signal.

"Is it important?" You ask.

"It's from the pirates." She replies.

Curious, you activate the transmission.

"Hello, Captain Wellings." Felicity Prudence purrs, now appearing to you in the flesh. "It appears our paths have crossed again..."

Well she did run around all the time wearing heavy armour and lugging a lance and all its ammo. You're gonna get pretty strong doing that.
